| said: Spent a week at Acuario sol 1, apartment was clean, cosy and just right for me and my friend!!
We arrived late as had flight delays and found receptionist not very helpful when asking where room was, luckily a kind lady showed us as her's was next door.
It had a small pool which was secluded though we mainly used bigger pool at Sol 2, which also had a pool bar which did good food, had friendly staff and regular nightly entertainment, enjoyed the quiz n bingo nights, had lots of laughs.
Was situated in a quiet area, plenty of supermarkets close at hand, short walk to the sea front to all bars and restaurants!

| said: Excellent sized apartment for two people. Sitting area is reasonably big with table and sofa-style seats. Kitchen area was quite well equipped for cooking if you want to use the facilities, otherwise the fridge is nice and cool for chilling drinks!
Cleanliness on arrival was fine, no problems. The maid comes every 2 days however the sheets are only changed weekly which could do with being more frequent. They tend to chamge the towels but not much other cleaning.
Location - although 5 minutes form the sea it is about 15 minutes walk to the beach. Main street is on the sea front and begins a few mins walk away - it has a lot of restaurants on the way and bars.
Acuario 1 has a small pool but we preferred this one to the larger one in sol 2 - more private and is sheltered on windy days. Plus you dont have to get up at 8am to get a sun bed!
Didnt go to the hotel entertainment nights but they offered a bbq and parrot show. Hotel bar was reasonable.

| said: I booked this Hotel as we are a group of 9 Teenagers (all aged between 17 and 19)
We wanted a quiet place to sleep which wasnt in the centre of Puerto del Carmen. (considering the fact we came in about 6am each morning from a lot of hard partying!)
Its value for money, very basic but very clean and well maintained. Staff where great, Id hire a safe to keep your belongings in, there doors did'nt seem that strong as English ones.
When you check-in you will get two keys, one for your room, and one for the Hotel gate, which is locked at 9pm-ish.
We went for a lively week, and the nightlife attractions where about 20 minutes walk away (or a 4Euro taxi ride!)
If you plan on eating all meals in your appartment you may struggle as all you get is two eletric rings and a fridge with a little freezer draw. We ate out but sometimes had snacks like cereals and soup etc.
We paid £180 each for the holiday, and we couldnt have asked for much better value for money.
If we were to go back we will certainly consider staying here again.
The hotel is in a very peaceful residential area, theres no neighbouring hotels with annoying entertainment booming till midnight

| said: Returned from the Acuario Sol 1 on 25th January 2007.
We were pleasantly suprised by the size and cleanliness of the complex and the rooms.
Only a small pool but it's a real suntrap from about 10.30 til 4.00 (only 10 sunbeds but most other guests seemed to prefer the larger sister hotel so we always got some).
Staff were friendly (especially Jose the Handyman).
Don't feed the cats! You'll never get rid of them!

| said: This was our second stay at these apartments having previously visited in December 2005.
We decided to book again as these apartments represent very good value for money.
The location is superb, just set back from the busy front street of the new end of the resort. They are really quiet set of apartments with a smaller more intimate feel than the larger Sol II that is just a minutes walk away.
The Sol II seems more family orientated with larger pool, activities and larger sun lounging area. There is a sun terrace on the roof that is quiet and secluded. Staff are mostly okay but during our stay there was a pleasant girl on reception who didn't speak english well at all. The manager speaks fluently.
We have read on this site that some people have mentioned issues of security here. we did not experience any problems at all. A safe can be rented from reception and the front gates are locked every night. You are given a key for this so that you can enter the grounds late at night.
The rooms were very clean and tidy. We were so impressed with the location and value for money that we returned in December 06 bringing along our parents who enjoyed their stay just as much. They certainly provide good three star accomodation.
Cooking facilities are limited but Del Carmen has so many good eating places it would be a sin to stop in and cook! (Try Pinnochios on the front, it's superb)

| said: When we got there we noticed there was a few steps which was ok, our room was spotlessly clean and tidy, really impressed.
We had no trouble with break ins or anything going missing and the staff seamed pleasent.
We had about a five minute walk to the main shops which was ok and there was a supermarket just across the road from the appartments. We also found it nice and quiet.
We are coming back to Lanzarote again next year and we would stay here again

| said: The apartment itself was nicely decorated however there were few cooking utensils, the sky tv was all in spanish and you had to pay fifteen euros for the remote control. Our apartment was cleaned twice during our stay with the towels only being changed once. The sheets were not changes but the beds were remade.
The staff were not very friendly or helpful. We were advised that to keep our room on it would cost thirty nine euros, However it wasn't necessary as there was a shower room to freshen up before the trip. When it came to using this shower room it was located in auario sol 2 and was not very nice.
Lanzarote is a great place to holiday i have been a number of times but i will not be returning to these apartments

| said: I found this hotel to be in a very good location as it was not directly on the front so it was quiet at night.
The entertainment was very good in the sister hotel and I found the staff to be very helpful and polite.
I loved Lanzarote and would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting it, although we did go in the winter, so it may be very different in the summer.

| said: The only good thing about these apartments is the pool bar in Acuario Sol 2. The staff and management are really great people you cannot fault the food or the entertainment they put on.
Hire a safe as when we were there we suffered a break in to our apartment and we were not the only ones, up to 9 apartments per day had been broken into, and the management did nothing to prevent further break-ins. So if you do stay beware what you leave in your apartments, there was no set pattern to the break ins they were happening daily and at different times day or night.

| said: The apartments were clean which was good, we were a little disapointed that we wern't in the Acuario Sol 2 apartments as there was a much livelier atmosphere here. This wasn't a problem as we were able to wonder over to the other hotel and could use all the facilities there. We enjoyed a lovely bbq one night which was nice, they did put entertainment on here but we prefered to go out in the evenings.
We were really pleaced with the location of the apartments, although there is a 15min walk to the bars and restaurants, there are 2 supermarkets round the corner to get all the essentials. It was good beacause there was no noise from the town keeping you awake at night!
Unfortunatly we did get broken into half way through our stay which was upsetting. The management at Acuario Sol 1 were useless and did nothing about it, which was very dissapointing.
We still had a great holiday though, its hard not to Lanzarote was fab!!
