| said: This Hotel offers a wonderfully relaxed world to the visitor, the majestic foyer leads out onto the inner oasis- a stunning mixture of pools, bridges, palms, island bars and with enough sunbeds for all.
The oasis looks like something out of Vegas in the evening with the palms and pools all lit up. Food is extraordinary in both quantity and quality, with different themes each evening- service is excellent and there are enough tables for all.
There is a tennis school within the Hotel, a discreet walled naturalist zone, a childrens games room, a piano cocktail bar and evening entertainment managed by the Animation team( who run the kids club too) in the main Dance room.
Rooms are generous, airy and clean - the majority having balconies / sun terraces. The immediate beach area is nice and quiet with some pizza bars / english bars / electronic boutiques , whilst there appears to be a lot more going on in Carmen - to be honest it looked a bit tacky. Hire a car and visit the lava fields/volcanoes of Timanfaya Park, go north a see the most staggering views at 'Mirador del Rio', and if you drive north on the coastal road from Jameos del Aqua you will find some idylic, shallow, turquoise watered and white marble sanded beaches - absolutely stunning, fantastic for the kids.
Since Lanzarote is one huge lava field the general landscape is quite stark, looking like a rubble tip in places - but if you dwelve a little deeper you will come across some beauty. Enjoy..!
