we stayed at these apartments for 3 weeks we had two rooms 405 & 406 which where in a really good location, the rooms are a bit dated and could do with a makeover but they are very spacious and the kitchen is equipted with everything you need for a self catering holiday, there are 2 pools 1 for adults & 1 for children they are both a good size although sometimes adults were playing bat & ball in the childrens pool, the pool area was only cleaned throughly once a week and the sunbeds need replacing most of them are cracked and could give you a nasty nip. The entertainment at night was down stairs in the cellar which was so hot they could really do with air con down there, they have a mini disco for the kids which my children loved, they also had reptile, birds of prey & irish dancing shows and bingo all of which were really good. The food at the pool bar was quite good and not really expensive. Safety deposit boxes are available for €10 per week. All the staff all very helpful & friendly any problems we had or anything we required was not a problem for them. My only complaint would be the rooms are not cleaned regular enough & the bins would need emptied more often, there was a brush & mop in the room which was very handy. When leaving reception if you turn left a few minutes walk you are at Legends Bar which is really good for the children with a outside play area & bouncy castle, there is also a crazy golf course along there and an aquarium. I was very nervous about these apartments as i had read some bad reviews before going but i can honestly say we all enjoyed our stay and would definately return. We didn't pay 5 star prices and were pleased with the whole complex and resort.

We were checked in very swifty upon arrival, the receptionist was lovely. Initial impressions was that it was quite a hike to the beach as we had stayed in Costa Teguise before. The apartment was big we stayed in a 2 storey duplex style apartment, this has 2 bedrooms, and 2 huge bathrooms, 2 toilets etc, , the toilet seat was cracked but was changed immediately when we asked for a new one. The decor and whole feel of the rooms was basic and so desperately needs tarting up. However it was no worse than any other hotel we have stayed in before.

The receptionists are very helpful. We swopped our room after 3 days as the balcony was tiny, we then got a gigantic sun terrace like nothing I have ever seen before it was excellent, it was still the same 2 storey duplex apartments so we were very happy.

We never went into the pool bar, main bar or had anything to do with any of the entertainment ( I couldn,t see or hear any going on). It was VERY quiet.

We paid 36 euro for a late checkout which compared to Ibiza our last holiday was 20 euro I thought this was very expensive, I paid anyway as our flight was 10 at night.

The beach was a good 15 min walk, but there is a supermarket about 10 mins walk from the hotel.

Me an my fiancee arrived to Tequisol in the evening and were welcome warm by the lady at the reception desks. She gave ue tha map and the keys and we didn;t find difcicult to read the map out and find our apartment. The apartments are spacious with a lovely balcony, nice clean bathroom with towels and plenty of hot water.Didn't notice any mould or dirt anywhere.Cleaning lady was every morning except Sunday, and she she changed bedding , towels and clean the floor and bathroom every time.We had a nice kitchenette with kettle, firdge, cooker, sink and plenty of dishes and cuttlery.Nothing to complain.Don't know about the food -we went self catering. Also, there is a supermarket where you can buy your own food or alcohol.Swimming pool is nice and big with a very clean water!!Tequisol is only 5-10 minutes walk to the beautiful sandy beach and shops, restaurants, bars.
There was no entertainment in the evening thou, but you have lots of places around like Los Zocos Hotel or Sandy beach resort.
Don't panic if you go there cos it's a lovely place and you will like it there.

It was our first visit at this hotel food was ok had worse had a lot better.
The resturant and bar are in the basement which gets very hot, so not nice being there for to long no aircon as far as i know

staff were very friedly and helpful if you needed any help.

The apartments are very basic but we were half borad so that was ok it. Very specious rooms

Kids loved the pool and play area good to let of steam.

The entertiment was ok we went out most night found a cheaper bar near the beach so you could enjoy it outside instead of the basement.

I would go back if the price was good as a base this hotel is fine quiet out the way ideal for familys.

Well we were a group of friends all 17 looking for a good relaxing time in the sun. We found this appartment on the internet and decided to give it a go. We got to the hotel finally and were all really excited when we got their, our expectations were not very high so we were pleasantly supprised when we pulled up. We were checked in immediately and got a map to show us where our appartment was. The steps up to the appartment were a bit of a stuggle because it was about 11 at night and a bit dark with our suitcases but once we found the light we were fine. Got into our appartment and were really happy with it it was fine for us maybe if you expect 5 star accomidation you should not go here but it had everything we needed.
First night we got their we went in to Ariciffe... Not a good idea ! It was haoorible and we never went back.. the second night we went on a club rep night to porta del carmen and absolutely loved it, it was amazing, the clubs were brilliant! If you are younger and looking for a good time i would defo recommend here there were tons of people that were our ages but i think if we went again we would stay nearer to porta del carmen because it was a £30 taxi journey but only 2 euro 50 on the bus! If you go to get a tattoo as well i recomend the british bulldog he was wikid and did my tattoo for really cheap !! happy holidaying !!

After reading all the previous reviews I was very wary when we arrived. Luckily for us there was nothing to worry about.

Our apartment was very spacious and clean. It is only about a 10 min walk to the centre of Costa Tequise.

The down side to Teguisol is the many steps that there are. Our apartment was nearer the main road so there were many steps to climb. That was ok, but having to lug your suitcases is a different matter. There are slopes next to each flight of steps, but you had to make a run for it as they were mighty steep.

The bar man in the main area found it difficult to stay behind the bar. He was always wandering off to speak to reception, so you were left mighty thirsty at times. When he was behind the bar there was only one pace. SLOW. To say the least we did not stay there too long.

The pool was rather chilly. There was also the family from hell, who made relaxing round the pool, near impossible.

After reading reviews I was worried our long awaited christmas holiday was going to be spent in a slum but on arrival things didnt look too bad.

Having a baby with us the steps to the apartment were hard work but the apartment was very spacious although basic and in need of updating, it also had a strange smell Ithink it might have been the wood frames.

However we had a great holiday the pool was very clean.

We didnt like the resturant as it was downstairs as was the evening entertainment it felt like a cellar but a taxi to the resort centre only cost 3 euro or took about 20 mins to walk.

If using these apartments as a base they are worth the money but dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed.

just returned from our time at the tegisol, infact it was our 3rd visit and by far the best, i cant praise the kids reps enough, 3 of my children went into the club and had a fantastic time the whole 2 weeks we were there. we had a massive 2 bedroom apartment it was a trek getting up the stairs but it was clean and spacious and was cleaned most days, the pool area was nice and yes the pool was cleaned every morning as i was up early most mornings. we were abit disappointed with the entertainment in the evenings as the advertised kids disco but this never happened but the acts they had on later were fantastic well worth staying down for.

Arrived at 9 30 in the evening, were dealt with quickly.
We stayed for one week, and out of that week the maid came in 3 times. Not one hole in any of our towels, and they were changed 3 times. food was excellent, could not fault it. Yes there was a little rust in the bathroom, but that was the only fault. Appartments were biggest ive ever stayed in, and i never saw any cockroachs or ants all the time i was there. For all those people who have made comments on the site about the pool not being cleaned all the time they were there, obviously didnt get up early enough, the guys were there every morning at 7 30. And most of the mess is made by the british people who give us a bad name. Me and my sister both smoke, but used an ash tray round the pool not like most, who just put them out on the floor, and kids just left there rubbish were ever.Like most people,i was a bit apprehensive before the trip. But really enjoyed my stay.Dont believe what you read, judge it for yourself.I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends. It was nice to go to bed, and not be kept awake, by noisy or rowdy people throughout the night.

This was going to be one of the last holidays i would be going with just us 4 as a family. Otherwise, we had decided to start going in big groups and bringing friends.

When we arrived at the hotel, we thought it was nice. we got given our room key quickly and was given a map, which was really helpful.

When we got to the room, we thought it was lovely and spacious, ad glad we hadnt got one with stairs! it was nice and clean, with clean towels and bed sheets.

we liked the poolside but preffered going to the beach as we found that the pool area was really crowded every day and had to take our towels out really early. we loved where the hotel was designated as shops and beaches were so near!

However, the entertainment in the hotel was terrible! it felt like a little child's party. My younger sister even dreaded going as it was so bad. so we prefered to go to Cactus jack's which was just down the road.

Overall we found the hotel was okay but didnt reach our standards at all. there was always 13/14 year olds hanging round at night which made my younger sister feel uncomfortable.

this hotel was okay and the staff were lovely. but this wouldnt be a hotel i would tell others about.

Well what can i say about the room that i stayed in? it was ok. the bath was awful, i would not let the children go in it because it was full of mould and had brown and yellow all over it. The shower was slow and the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. There was two beds and two camp beds. The camp beds were a little old and used. Pillows...well they are nice and fluffy, NOT! We found a nice big cockroach in the bath one night and often found them on the balcony and in the kitchen. The balcony was really big, we were really lucky to get an room on a corner which was why the balcony was so big. Only a few rooms were big enough to have large balconys. The t.v had a lot of channels but you had to pay. It wasn't bad though because it was only 1euro for an hour.
The pool area was nice. There was two swimming pools, both salt water. The children had to keep getting out because the salt really hurt their eyes. You can always get a sunbed. The is a bar near the swimming pool that had snacks that were ok. There was two shops on sight which was useful.
The food in the hotels was awful. Lets just say if you like chips your ok because you can even have them for breakfast. Oh by the was the chips are soggy and cold.
There was one entertainer so we went out of the hotel every night, to a hotel near buy. Los Zocos. Los Zocos had amazing entertainmene I would Defernetly go there during your vist.
It is a 10 minute walk to a shopping centre.
I would not go back to Teguisol!!!

The location of this hotel is on the edge of the resort, so there is quite a trek into the centre.

On arrival we were dealt with very quickly and given map to room, which was up a huge flight of stairs. The apartment was pretty basic but roomy and we were lucky enough to have our own room terrace.

The buffet was down in the bottom of the hotel down more stairs which wasnt a problem for us but the parents had to carry pushchairs up and down. the food was ok, but not good enough for me to look forward to going to eat. infact i managed to encourage my boyfriend to eat out a couple of times!! thank god.

The entertainment was also at the bottom of the hotel and I have to say that this was the worse part!! it was absoloutely diabolical!! We only went one night and went to bed at 9.30pm! if you just want a base for your holiday then this hotel is fine, but if your hotel is a big part of the holiday then avoid!

The room was spacious but the floors dirty. The bathroom grouting had verdigree all over & the towels were grubby. The hob was a waste of time as it took 20 mins to heat a pan of soup. On the day it rained, the rain came in under the bedroom window & under the door, resulting in water all over the bedroom floor & around the front door area.

The pool area had the beds left all over the place & were never collected up each evening.

The staff played loud music via 2 large speakers around the pool which "killed" any music of your own & also stopped you reading a book.

The problems started after we were given the key to our room.

The room looked as if it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth, all surfaces were dirty. The curtains very thin and furniture very shabby.

Spoke to transfer rep who persuaded us to wait until the reps meeting in morning and then speak to our hotel rep.

Things got worse when we took the extra bed out from underneath couch(this bed was for our 5yr old grandson)three large cockroaches ran out from beneath the filthy mattress cover. When we spoke with reception, we were given another room but this one was only marginally better.

Went down to breakfast in the morning and restaraunt not very clean. Meeting was held in what they called the cave, this area was even worse than the rooms. Grandson was bitten by fleas!

The only good thing that I can say about this hotel was that we only stayed there for 1 night. Tour rep quite helpful and we were moved to another hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone , it was disgusting.

Stayed at the Teguisol Apartments, and having read previous reviews, was quite apprehensive about this holiday. On arrival at reception we were dealt with and given our key and map quite quickly. Our first thought when entering apartment was how spacious it was. Took our own towels but they must have bought new ones because they were clean thick and fluffy. The only appliance not included was a toaster but we even had a microwave. The maids seemed to be in every other day and kept the place clean.Pool area clean but pool itself very cold. Entertainment good.

This was our first holiday and a very enjoyable one, and the apartments where on a whole I thought very nice, nothing posh but a generally nice place to be in.

The pools were very clean but being salt water not very hot but in the warm days were nice to jump in and cool off.

The food was fantastic there with loads to choose from the buffet. The reps, staff and especially the entertainers were brilliant and certainly kept everybody entertained in the evening.

The first night me and my partner won 20 euros at bingo and there was prices to go up too 220 euros which is great for extra cash in the country. for who ever stayed here obviously didnt choose the right place to stay and should of upgraded to more there liking, 5*

We returned today after a 2 week stay in the Teguisol.

We found the rooms to be very basic but clean although we did find a massive cock roach in the bathroom one night.

The maid(who was very friendly) came in every other day to sweep and mop the floor and the towels(these were a bit on the shabby side) and bed linen were changed every 3 days or so.

The pool was ok,the water was freezing and it was very salty which hurt the eyes.We had to go down quite early in the morning and put towels on the sunloungers though.

The kids club was great...the reps...Wayne,Ayana,and Anna were great with the kids and my 7 year old really enjoyed going.

The entertainment staff....Dan,Donna and Kate were great too. They put on some good shows and kept both kids and adults entertained nearly every night. We too brought the Hold Your Head CD!

Overall not a bad holiday but at times I did feel like it was a bit like Butlins abroad.

Just returned from Teguisol with friends we travelled with and had a really lovely holiday. I wouldnt return because I dont as a rule visit same place twice but if they improved the bathroom and towel situation might reconsider.

Stayed in 2 bed duplex style appartment. Good points very spacious even though old style furniture which was not a problem.

However, towels were very holely or plucked and bathroom ceiling had mould on it plus rust on the bath and towel rail. Even when asked for clean towels they were of extremely poor quality.

Cleanliness - in our opinion ALL staff worked extremely hard including our reps but too many rooms to clean to a satisfactory level and being a windy island quite hard to keep clean. We decided to clean the mould off ourselves and mopped our own floors. We didnt want to create a fuss because of how hard everyone worked and it was easier to do it ourselves. Plus we were fed up with having black feet!

We were half board and the food was fine an excellent choice for everyone. Ok it was a bit repetitive towards the end of the fortnight but it was hot, a good choice, empty trays replaced quickly and drinks very reasonably priced oh plus all staff friendly working very hard once again. (thanks).

Hotel staff were very good at sorting out our problems quickly and efficiently (I wont list them as it is not necessary) so no problems there.

Entertainment - Didnt do because (a) downstairs and we like to walk and be in the open air (b) we had teenagers so not there thing. However, top marks to the reps for their energy and smiles. The kids club looked wicked as all the young children were joining in which was a pleasure to see - Dan the rep was just so energetic so restassured if you have youngsters they will be well entertained. Also pool side entertainment was fine, a quiz and various games which you had the choice to join in with and the reps were not intrusive at all. They were all very friendly and kind whether or not you joined in - thanks to them all.

Just returned from Teguisol apartments and one of the best holidays we have ever had. We were in a 2 bed apartment, which was very spacious and although not plush it was kept clean.

There was a great swimming pools, which was a bit cold but you did get used to it quickly. Entertainment day and evening was good, Children loved the evening entertainment with reps Dan, Kate and Donna keeping children and adults amused. We did not eat in as we like to venture out for breakfast and evening meals. If you go to Lanzarote. I would thoroughly recommend the Wild West Evening at the Rancho Texas. Great evening plenty of beer and good food, and shows for children and adults alike.

All I can say that the people that disagree with this holiday complex are either posh or miserable. The resort centre is about 10-20 mins walk but nice in the warm weather. My kids think this holiday was great and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

We have just returned from these apartments and can honestly say we had a great time.

I read a lot of bad reports before we went so I was quite weary,I shouldn't have been as it was fab.

We normally go self catering but chose half board for a change.

The food was ok,nothing fantastic but still good. Soup for starters, about 5 different main meals to choose from and desserts. We had no tummy upsets.

We had our beds changed about every 3 to 4 days and same for the towels.I dont think our maid did anything else in our apartment not that I am complaining as I am not.We had a cooker, microwave, grill, pots and pans etc so if you were self catering you had all you needed.

The reception staff were always very helpful and friendly to us same as the bar staff.

Our apartment was on the top floor and had a huge sun terrace that over looked the main pool one way and the sea the other,so again we were really pleased.

The entertainment staff were lovely, they were always very cheery. My son joined the kid club the second week and really had a great time playing football, kids quizzes etc. Dan.Kate and Donna work their socks off from morning till midnight. They are a great team together...So well done guys!!!

Have just returned from the Tequisol Apartments in Lanzarote on a self caterig holiday and felt we had to give this report after reading so many negative reports before we went.

We were dreading what we would arrive to, but couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The Apartment room was spacious and clean with an excellent view overlooking the pool area. Maids came in every other day and changed towels, made beds and cleaned floors.
We were 5-10 minutes from the main promenade and beach in Tequisen which is lined with great Shops and Restaurants, where we dined every evening.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and the entertainment team couldn't have worked any harder !!.
We had teenagers so didn't take advantage of the Kids Clubs, but younger children would have a great time.
There were games to be played every day in the pool for all ages to win prizes.

Evening entertainment in the show bar was always good considering there were only three reps (Donna, Dan & kate) who organised everything (well done !!), however you had to get there early to get a table as it was always very busy.

We would definately recommend these apartments and would definately stay in them again ourselves.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 weeks from the 13th August and it was by far our best holiday so far. We stayed in room 109 and to our suprise it was very clean and spacious. The beds we comfy too.

The pool area was nice and we never had a problem getting a sunbed even if we went dowm there in the afternoon. The only downfall was that the pool is salt water wich stung your eyes a bit.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly especially the bar staff down in the entertainment room, although the girls who work in the supermarket have a right attitude problem.

Dan, Donna and Kate were wicked and a great laugh, you just cant praise them enough, and the 'Hold your head' song was brilliant I just had to by the cd haha im so sad, but i guarantee you would have got up at least once during your holiday and danced to it.

You have to play Bingo of an evening, we won 230 euros one night, we were over the moon.

All in all I would give this hotel a definate 10/10 and would recomend it to anyone including my customers (I'm a travel agent) so don't worry and have a great time x

We had previously stayed here three years ago and enjoyed it.

This time the complex was dirty, the apartment run down, horrible threadbare brown towels, dirty pools, a child had diarhoea in the childrens pool and whilst cleaning this pool the pumping water overflowed into the main adult pool until parents intervened and complained.

My two children were ill sickness, diarhoea, stomach cramps and headaches and one had the doctor twice and ended with a bowel infection. Noise at night intolerable, fighting around the pool, screaming, shouting, meals in the cavern filthy other holiday makers reported cockroach and maggot in food and cigarette filter in mushrooms. Thomas Cook reps ignorant and unprofessional.

Doctor regularly at complex and on our departure whilst waiting for the airport coach, two ambulances arrived, lot of people complaining of sickness and diarhoea. Toilets in disco area filthy with excrement daubed on walls.

Have submitted complaint to Thomas Cook and will not be travelling with them again.

We have just arrived back this morning from the best holiday we have ever had so far.

When we read some or the past reports we did almost cancel the holiday but i am glad we didn't.

On arrival in the hotel we were given a map of the hotel , we found our room straight away, room 117 middle floor, it over looked the kids playpark.

The room itself was brilliant lots of space ,decor nice ,it looked like it had just been painted.

As we were half borad we never used the kitchen but it was well equipped and clean.

The maids cleaned our room 7 times when were there , clean sheets 4 times, we only had 3 pillows , and on asking for a four one, it was in our room within 10 mins.

The food , to be perfectly honest with you there was never a day went by that we couldn't find anything that we liked , it was a buffet style eat as much as you like, the puddings did get a bit repetitive but it all edible

I just got back from Lanzarote on Thursday with my parents and little brother and it has been the best holiday I have had in ages.

The place was lovely very clean, my only complaint is people who reserve sunbeds by putting towels on them very early in the morning and not coming down till after lunch I think its unfair for those who come down and want sunbeds and who are actually going to use them there and then and cant get any , something needs to be done.

The entertainment was excellent Dan Kate and Donna were excellent very funny put on great evening shows especially Aladdin which was on the last night before I came home that was excellent a great way to finish off my holiday.

I would definitely recommend the Northern Highlights Excursion and the Volcanic Escape they are excellent especially the camel ride.

The food was good a bit repetitive and if you like chips like me you'll be right in you can have them for breakfast and dinner.

I would recommend this holiday to anyone and I may go back again in a few years.

Reading the other reviews about this hotel, to say we had knots in our stomachs was an under statement, but after reading some of the 'good' ones we went with an open mind.

Booking in...
When you arrive at the hotel you walk into the 'green' reception area, you'll know what I mean when you get there! You do have to queue to book in, only about half an hour. This isn't too bad considering the amount of people arriving, the paper work that's involved and there are only so many reception staff that can fit behind the counter. We were given a map to show where our room was and found it straight away. Room 135.

Rooms...
Ok, so it's not the Ritz but your not paying the Ritz prices either. First impression was not too bad, we was expecting a hovel. A lovely sized apartment. The kitchen had every thing you needed, from knives and folks to pots and pans, a full sized fridge/freezer... great for keeping all beers and wine cold, a double hob and microwave. The hotel was built in the 80's and the decor matched this era, but from reading some of the reviews we was expecting something out of the 50's! The furniture to me was typically Spanish, very solid heavy pine. The towels and sheets were by no means dirty, but Egyptian cotton they wasn't, they did have a funny smell to them but I think that was just their washing powder. The house keeper came round every other day but only to change the towels and empty the bins, she didn't do any cleaning that we could see. Yes, we did have a couple of cockroaches but we went to the supermarket and got some spray and it was fine.
Don't forget to pack some tea towels, dish cloths and some pegs (there is a washing line on the balcony).

Pool...
Two good sized pools. Salty water was a bit strange but after the first day you soon got used to it, recommend the kids wear goggles. Not alot of shade to be had around both pools so in the mid-day sun it can get quite hot, as do the tiles! Be careful when the kids run around the pools because if the tiles are wet they can be very slippery. Food at the pool bar not too bad, staff was friendly.

Kids Club...
10/10 Fantastic. Our two loved it (8 & 6 yrs). Some thing going on every day (exp Sun). They do a couple of evening clubs so you can have a bit of 'adult time' and you don't have to stay on site.

Hotel Food & Entertainment...
Can't really comment on these because we went out every night to eat and we're not really into bingo and cabarets.

The resort wasn't quite what we were expecting. It was very spaced out with little 'shopping squares' dotted around, it was very touristy and we found the prices reflected this. All the squares had these trampolines for the kids, 5Euro, which cost us a small fortune! The food was nice in 9/10 of the restaurants, but we did stear clear of the English bars and restaurants... we can get fish & chips and Sunday roasts back home.
It's only a short stroll (5min/8min) to the nearest square which is quite nice on a lovely warm evening.

A great day out for the whole family is the Aqua Park. 21Euro for adults 15Euro for kids, sunbeds are extra 2.50Euro each. We didn't eat here but we were told that it is quite expensive, we did notice that some people were taking their own food and snacks with them which was a good idea.
Ladies if you don't like wearing thongs then don't go on some of the slides and make sure your bikini tops are tied on nice and tight!!
Be careful if you burn easy as they don't let you wear t-shirts on the slides or in the water and again the tiles get very, very hot.

The Tagiuse market is worth a visit, we booked this at the hotel reception, it was cheaper than booking through the reps.

Another good day was to Timanfaya. You get to have a ride on the camals and go up to Fire Mountain. You have a drive round Timanfayas National Park and learn a bit about the history of Lanzarote, then onto a small village for lunch and finish with a trip to a vine yard to do a bit of wine tasting. This was booked through the reps.

This was not the best place we have stayed, but as I said before we went with an open mind. On the whole we had a great holiday. We found the staff very friendly (apart from one of the women in the supermarket... now there's a lady with attitude). If you go to any of the staff with a smile and try to speak a bit of their language we found them to be very helpful.
The only thing that spoilt our stay was on the last day, our room was broken into while we were by the pool. Our luggage was ripped open with a knife and we had few things were stolen. Rooms 133 & 134 were broken into on the first day. Apparently these three rooms are broken into quite frequently because they face the main road at the back. The management know of this problem and are trying to sort it out, but in the mean time they are still letting people stay in these rooms... Be warned!!!

The apartments were dirty and never cleaned properly the whole time we were there. Cutlery and crockery dirty,I dont expect to have to clean before i can eat or drink Igo on holiday to get away from that! The toilet was broken and leaked resulting in 2 floods eventually repaired on day 4. mildew on bath sealant and about six inches up shower curtain. Excrement on out side of bidet not what you expect of any accomodation. The towels were smelly and we frequently had to ask for clean ones. The beds not suitable for adults particularly one of 6'4''and one had rubber sheet on it. Were they expecting something I wasn't! We did not let this spoil our holiday butit did not endear us to ever go back.

The accomodation is quite a walk from beach or bars but the resort is lovely and the people in the resort very friendly.I would definitely never go back to this accomodaton but teguise as a resort is lovely

The staff on reception where great and they where funny at times and made us laugh.

Every night we went downstairs to eat our tea exept 2 nights when we went to the chinese down the road both of these where very nice and the food in the hotel was good for breckfast and tea.The hotel staff where sooo friendly and they even gave us free drinks when we spoke in Spanish an one of the bar maids gave me a free drink because she came from the same place as me.

During our week stay in the hotel our towels were changed twice and they looked old and had stains on them. We had two rooms next to each other and after spending about 20mins trying to find them we had to carry all our suitcases up 2 sets of stairs. In one of our rooms the shower didn't work and the toilet broke, it took repair men three days to actually fix it so during this time we couldn't use the toilet. If we didn't have our family stopping in the other room we would have been unable to use the shower and the toilet.

We used the hotel buffet a couple of times for breakfast and it was to a good standard and good value for money. There was alot of choice of food and drink and one child in every party ate free. on the dinner buffet though there wasn't alot of choice so we found ourselves eating out every night.

There is about a 15min walk before you get to any shops our restaurants and about a 25min walk to the beach.

The hotel staff were pleasant enough and the entertainment was great but there will not be any entertainment during the next season.

When I arrived in Lanzarote I was a bit disappointed with the weather thinking it would b very hot but that didn’t put me off the place.

We travelled a 15 minute coach ride and the tour guide Martin was very helpful. We got to the apartments and got our keys and when we got to the rooms we were shocked. They were big and the beds were very comfy.

At night for the first couple of days we went out for tea along the front but then we met loads of people 1 of which has left a message on here Sammie, anyway we went downstairs and at first never joined in with anything but then as the days went I did more and more stuff and in the end ended up dressing up as a woman!

The entertainment team were great and the activities they set up were brilliant. We all made friends with the team probably because we were the loudest there! I would definitely recommend this hotel to people and I would definitely go back again

i went to the hotel in june 06 and it was one of the best holidays ever id been 6 months earlier with my mum and it was ok but we got a great deal and decided to go back!
the hotel grounds were very clean and well kept, it was very accessible for instance there were alot of ramps for prams etc. the entertainment was very good in the day there were poolside activities and many sports competitions such as pool, darts, bowls and football (my team won by the way =D) also the entertainment of the night was excellent they involved the audience alot and got entertainers in like brazillian dancers etc. location was great, a 5 min walk away there was the beach and along the promenade there were shops restaurants and bars and you could see the water park from our appartment (3 euros in a taxi) also there was a bus stop directly outside the complex to get to the main city.

the only downfall i can fink of is the salt water pool but i got used to it after 5 minuets of being in there

definately highly recomended 10/10!

We've just got back from what was the worst holiday that we have ever embarked upon.

Where do I start???

Room: 2,single beds.
1,lounge 3,seater sofa.
1,pull out crate. (2"mattress)
Pillows x1.

First night consisted of several visits to a less than helpful reception in an attempt to procure a minimum standard of bedding.

The room towels were the most ridiclous specimens we had ever been supplied at a hotel, and throughout our entire two week stay we were forced to stand'toe-to-toe' with a laundry manager in an attempt to claim what towels should have been supplied us each day.

Throughout the entire two week stay our room was cleaned on just two occasions however, this only consisted of the changing of bed linin (1,bttom sheet, and 1,top sheet)
On no occasion did the cleaners leave us any toilet tissue. Any tissue that we were supplied was requested personally by us.

In order to secure a hot shower we needed to plan the time in which we used the bathroom.

The external walkways proved particularly hazardous as it was difficult to distinguish the stairway from the landing terraces.

The male reception staff appeared to resent any customer requirements and made little or no effort to rectify these problems.

On one occasion I was short changed at the outdoor pool bar. Upon bringing this to the attention of the employee responsible,I was forced to explain why I thought this was the case and then argue with the same person over how much money was involved. To the barmans credit the outstanding amount was eventually refunded and an unfeasible excuse was given.

We were told by another couple who were also resident there that, following requests to the hotel customer services as to what facilities were available for which to adequately heat a baby's bottle. Their reply was "to place the bottle into the hotel room microwave oven"

To cap all this, apart from the ramps which are situated adjacent to the external steps there is no other consideration afforded to the disabled.

In order to access all the customer hotel facilities such as the, restaurant, the hotel bar and the area where all the evenings children and adult 'entertainment' takes place is accessed only via two flights of stairs. Unless a guest is able to make their way down these stairs there is no other way to make use of this facility and no alternative is available.

Any family with children aged between four to ten years then this resort may suit them well, just so long as they can tolerate all the misgivings.

As we went at the real last minute we didnt expect it to be as good as it was.

We found the reception staff polite and pleasant and also the staff in the bar and buffet restaurant.

Not having young kids with us we did find the pool area a bit noisy but in fairness it was half term week. Although the apartments could do with redecorating our's was clean and no problem with water supply to showers, loo etc.

It was cleaned twice during the week, clean towels, bedding. Loo rolls were all left without us needing to ask.

We did try the chinese one night which wasnt brilliant but on the whole the food was fine. You get what you pay for and for a spur of the moment budget holiday the Teguisol is absolutely fine.

Just returned from Teguisol apartments.

Half board holidays - Dinners - suspicious - quite few guest reported belly problems. Although not serious - but needs to be taken seriously.

Although the hotel complex is kept clean - the place needs refurbishments - doors - tables - toilets - curtains are not the best you can hope for.

The appartments are infested with cockroaches - they come out at night - and keeping any kind of food is strongly not advised !!

I do not recomend Teguisol hotel appartments.

I've just returned from the Teguisol apartments. I travelled with my family and we all throughly enjoyed our holiday.

The staff were excellent and all bent over backwards to help. They were all friendly and spoke in both Spanish and English.

The entertainment was good and were aimed at both adults and children.

The kids world reps were fantastic and my children were well entertained all the time even gave us some adult time without the children in the evening by taking them to a moonlight party.

The food at the hotel was also good, they provided a variety of hot and cold buffet style food morning and night.

All in all a total good holiday and will definitely be going back again.

This resort is basic, it should not be a 3***, maybe a 2**. For a cheap 'allocation on arrival' holiday it was OK. Rooms are basic but clean on arrival, however this standard is not maintained-maid did not clean to a high standard. Toilet yucky and brown towels were unusual! Self-catering accommodation is good, facilities good for preparing your own meals and kitchen equipment you need was all there. Opting for Half Board option when booking saves you money and although repetitive the food is acceptable. Don't expect too much and you won;t be disappointed.

Having booked this only a few weeks before travelling I was a bit apprehensive as I like to research where I am going. But I shouldn't have worried it was fine. The room was spacious and quiet and well equipped for self catering. The room was cleaned every day and linen changed once during the week. The rooms could do with refurbishment but where clean with a large terrace. The one complaint I had was that it is a bit of a walk into the centre and there aren't many bars to call into on the way back. But for what we paid I had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

If we'd paid a fortune, we'd have been disappointed, but for what we paid, it was absolutely great. We hired a car from the airport and arrived before the transfer bus, so our check-in was a doddle. Reception staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Only criticism of arrival was that there wasn't a sign outside giving the hotel name, so although we had a map, we weren't sure we'd got the right place until we went inside.

The apartment was perfectly adequate for our party (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 & 14). It was very clean, and although it WAS tired (in need of updating, particularly the bathroom), everything worked and was spotlessly clean. They'd obviously done the best they could with what they had available. The maid turned up regularly every other day, and the linen was changed once during the week we were there, as promised in the description.

It was a very pleasant 15 minute walk into town, which had the advantage of making the hotel lovely and quiet at night so we could sleep.

The food was aimed at the Brits (lots of chips), and was of a perfectly good standard. In fact, although we were self-catering, we paid to eat at the hotel buffet 3 times for dinner, and every morning for breakfast. It was excellent value for money, and the first child in the party was free. Hygiene in the restaurant was excellent and there was so much on offer that if you couldn't find anything you liked you must be very fussy indeed. Again, like the whole holiday, you get what you pay for, and as we weren't paying gourmet prices, we didn't expect gourmet food. Didnt' try the Chinese restaurant or the a la carte, but heard good reports.

We found that provided you approached the staff with the right attitude (always smile and say 'Hola'), they bent over backwards to be nice and helpful. We asked for 2 extra pillows and they were delivered within the hour. The girls in the supermarket were really nice provided you made some attempt to speak to them in Spanish (we only mastered Hola Gracias and Adios, and this was enough to get them smiling).

Overall, we had a lovely half-term break and would recommend it, provided you go with the attitude that it's a budget hotel, and don't expect 5-star standards.

Just returned from a week at the Teguisol and I have to say it wasn't as bad as some reviews made out.

The apartment was very spacious for two of us and well equipped for self catering (not that we ate in) although the bathroom left a bit to be desired and could do with a refurb. The apartment was very clean and the maid was in at least three times during the week. The towels were pretty past it and didn't really dry anything much so I would take some with you.

The supermarket on site had a decent selection and I didn't think it was too overly expensive.

The complex is kept clean and tidy and although the pools were too cold for me (a few brave souls did use them though) they were clean too.

Although the complex is supposed to be for family's the amount of steps (especially down to the restaurants) was a nightmare for buggies, there are some ramps around the place which helped.

We tried all three restaurants and found the food to be fine, nothing stunning. The Chinese takeaway was by far the best, the service in the Cave was very slow and I wouldn't want to eat from the buffet more than once!

Staff and reps were great and all really helpful.

Being a good 20 minute walk into town we soon got fed up of that but the trips organised by the reps kept us busy and were really well planned. We travelled with Thomas Cook/Sunset and found the service excellent from start to finish.

So for a cheap winter break (4 days great sunshine out of 7) we thought is was good value.

We booked 3 days before we flew and had an excellent deal for one week half board. We were allocated the Teguisol on arrival.

The apartment itself was huge with two balconies. It did need a bit of an update though. The towels were pretty bad so take your own. Not sure if clothes in the wardrobes were a bit damp too. Maids came in about 3 times during the week and kept it reasonably clean.

The pool area was great, plenty of children to keep ours company.

As we were half board we did eat in the restaurant most of the time. The food was eatable but a bit repetitive. I've never seen chips for breakfast before!!

The best thing about the hotel was the entertainment. The reps, Adam, Sharon and Gemma were fantastic. They really made you feel welcome and worked very hard. They all came across as very genuine people who actually enjoyed entertaining you. The children's reps were great too.

All in all a lovely break in the winter.

We had a fab time at the Teugisol apartments, mainly thanks to the hotel and entertainment staff. There was always something going on day and night to keep everyone happy, including my daughter who is 6 and had a great time at the kids club. The entertainment staff were so nice to everyone and got to know everybody personally. On the day we were leaving my daughter had a little bubble to herself as she had developed a crush on Adam, one of the entertainment staff.

The location of the apartments was just perfect, close enough to the beach and shops, but far enough away from all the biz.

I would definitely recommend these apartments to families as there is plenty to keep the kids and parents amused day and night!!!

We arrived christmas day very tired having been up since 3am that morning. It didn't take long to book in and we were given a ground floor apartment behind reception.

We found there was alot of space and the balcony was big (balcony furniture in the room) We went down for our meal taking our card to be stamped to find a big queue wiating, we were given champaigne and then shown to our table. Food looked good but too tired to eat, even left the wine we were given.

We woke the next morning to find i had been bitten quite a few times during the night by what ?

During our stay our bed linning was not changed, I know because we made up the bed under the settee and it stayed the same.

There was no toilet rolls and muck behind the front door that was there all week. Towels grubby and grey. 3 of us in room but 2 bath and hand towels then one ripped when we dried ourself.

We were on the ground floor with palm trees overlooking us so some privacy to sit out. Breakfast was always the same, but the evening meals were good.

New years eve was brilliant same as christmas day. Party packs were given out then at midnight we had a power cut for a couple of mins. but that night was superb.

The tv did cost a bit for the week but we always switched it off at the on / off switch this stopped it using all the money. A god send really with a teenager in tow.

We stayed over the New Year and found the new year entertainment o.k for kids not so much for adults, kids get party bags etc.

We were allocated a middle level room which is not ideal with kids, the noise from above was atrocious as we had a spanish family who had obviously got a long term rental on the apartment.

I would advise anybody staying at this complex to check on arrival if the above apply's.We have 2 small children and for 6 nightsthey were constantly awoken at every conceivable hour through to morning, music,t.v,droppping items, shouting etc etc.

The complex itself was reasonably clean but not spotless, somewhat due to the clientle of the complex dropping litter everywhere but in the bin.

Not a complex I would rush to book again!

Arrived lunchtime had to wait awhile to be checked in as the coach was full.

staff very friendly.

Got to our apartment very nice and clean and as we were on the end apartment balcony was very big.

Hotel food was good tried both the a la carte and the oriental.

Entertainment staff were just fab we also had the pleasure of meeting both the summer and winter staff as it was change over week. Dan was great with our 2year old as she didn't like him at first but he went out of his way to make friends. She loved him in the end.

The walk from hotel to shops and bars was about 15mins but it was a nice stroll.

Got to visit again next year same time it was just nice not to busy. Would be nice if they got double bed settees in apartment as the pull up bed wasn't very good.

I have been to Lanzarote 8 times, this is the first time we have visited the Teguisol in Costa Teguise and it was the best holiday we have ever had!!

We had 2 apartments (one couple in each) they were very spacious, clean and were home from home. We settled in very quickly. The hotel is situated about 10 mins walk from the town and only cost 3 Euros in a taxi.

We were self catering so only ate in the restaurant once but was very nice.

The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to sort out any problems.

The pool area was immaculate and although the pool was salt water it isnt a problem unless you are going to drink it!!

The restaurant and bar was also very clean.

The entertainment staff were brilliant all day long especially for the kids! Vicki was amazing she was the loudest and was smiling all the time!

Was always good fun for everybody apart from those without a sense of humour!!

The Teguisol was a great hotel for our family, with only one small issue - the towels, curtains, blankets, and chairs all look as if they have seen better days, and could do with updating.

Having said that, the size of the apartment and balcony are fantastic, the food in the restaurant was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal, the pools, although salt water, are huge and clean.

The hotel staff are extremely friendly, and the evening entertainment - Adam, Vicki, & (Jenga)Jo, were absolutely brilliant. Both Adam & Jo are going elsewhere over Winter, which is a shame as they really made our holiday, turning a good week into a fantastic week. The Kids Club reps, Laura, Collette, Donna, & Sophie were also a real hit with our 8 & 6 year olds.

On arrival at the complex we were lucky enough to be processed through reception fairly quickly and also in finding our home for the week.

The apartment was spacious; the beds were small and basic, twin beds in bedroom and sofa beds in lounge; this made sleeping arrangements difficult, as the sofa beds were not suitable for adults, leaving us no space for adult time in the evenings. Having to make up two beds each evening did not feel luxurious! There was no kettle, but one was supplied on same day it was reported. Lots of storage space. Furnishings need updating.

Rooms cleaned daily. Plenty of fresh towels supplied daily. Each morning staff were visible around the site keeping it clean and tidy.

The food was excellent; huge variety from traditional English, to delicacies of the island - you need to know where to look for latter as I did't discover it till midway through holiday! I would recommend half board if you have kids. They ate better there than at home!

The hotel was a a good 20 minute walk away from decent beaches/shopping centre which was difficult with a 4 year old, who ended up on his dads shoulders for much of the way; in mid summer, I can imagine this would have been nightmarish!

Staff seemed friendly and helpful but could have been more knowledgeable of island attractions; we chose to rent a car - (recommended) for three days, and the staff were unaware of admission prices; they focused on organised day trips, which we later found to be very significantly more expensive than doing it independently. There were lots of activities laid on for the children.

Generally the site was quiet at night - and there were posters in prime locations reminding people to be considerate.

For £900, for 4 of us, we were satisfied with the package holiday; I think our attitude to the site would have been very different if it were a busy, hot period with costs higher than this.

In summary, a value for money, clean site with nice pools, and good food at the right time of year and right price!

We arrived during school holidays on budget holiday so not sure what to expect.

When we arrived we were quickly processed and given a map to find our room which was the furthest away block from the main reception, but was clean, tidy and spacious.

We quickly unpacked and went to get something to eat, which we had at the restuant. The food in the restuant we found to be great as there was always something deferent and always something for the kids(Bonus).

The location was only 10 min walk to the beach and 20 min to main centre. Everything was within easy reach aqua park, snorkling, windsurfing and football court.

We had a few problems with the water on the first few days and after a word with the Manager Ramond (quality bloke) we were moved to better apartment by the pool(result).

Excursion could be book for the main reception or the reps. We chose to do the volcano and were not disappointed as the tour was fantastic and one not to be missed.

The entertainment there was great fun by the pool and the staff were always helpful and really made the difference on this holiday. Second week not so good fell during football broke arm but again Manager was very helpful with advice, got a taxi to private hospital, operated on in morning back by tea time.(great advert hor holiday insurance).

Staff were great, food was great, location good, Entertainment great the best value for money holidays ever been on.

After reading the reports on this "FAMILY HOTEL" I was eagerly looking forward to arriving and enjoying a week in the Sun but what a let down.

The water in room was constantly running out, smell in bathroom disguisting and to top it all we had our room ROBBED all money taken, someone using a key.

Other people had safety deposit boxes emptied as well and a few other people had there rooms broken into as well. Rep told me it was a problem here, but I bet they don't tell you that in welcome meeting or brochure. As for the Reps, they are utterly useless unless you are 5-12 years as all they do is kids stuff and that is so Naff.

We had some genuine issues with resort hotel apart from being robbed and the standard phrae from them is " it's nothing to do with us, or not our fault". They even sent me in a taxi alone to the police station to report the robbery, and surprise surprise they sent me to the wrong place, useless they are.

Hotel staff are very rude and not very pleasant. Buffet resturant is ok, in that the food is edible, but rely needs more variety as its the same stuff every night. we ended up eating out a few times just to get something different.

Pool area is very slippy for children and many ended up with cuts and bruises, the pool itself is sea water and not very pleasant. Main pool is like something from a club 18-30 holiday with all stupid games going on.

Evening entertainment well after going down the 30 stairs( stairs everywhere in resort even to get to pools) with prams as no lifts in resort at all, you will be greeted with the most naff entertainment worse than Blackpool with DJ JINGA HIT THAT BUTTON all the time.

As this is our only family holiday this year I am well disappointed in this supposidly family orientated resort and have and will be taking further action against tour company for all our problems a few which we have listed above.

When we arrived at the Teguisol we got our apartment key and map to show us the way we were right at the end of the complex,so not impressed.

When we found our apartment the first thing we needed to do was open our balcony door to let some air in because it was very hot naturally, but for some reason the key didn't belong to the door, so my husband trailed back down to reception to report it after what seemed like 20 minutes someone finally came to fix it.

The outside furniture of table and chairs was stacked inside the apartment and was filthy leading me to believe that the apartment had not been used for a while. When I go on holiday I dont expect to have to clean things when I get there so that was reported and sorted.

No pillows for the beds another trek to reception. Key for safe didn't fit another trek to reception only to be told they don't use the safes in the bedroom they have safety deposit boxes at reception, which being based at the other end of the complex was a bit of a pain but at least our valuables were safe.

After finally settling in we noticed that we were only a short distance from the resort centre which was good. The pool area at the Teguisol is the worst one I have ever seen it was dirty and uninviting and unrelaxing, (Management go look at the pool area of the el trebol and take note), that is where we spent all of our days.

The only nice thing about the Teguisol apartment was our nice big private balcony (bbq would be a nice touch)oh and the maid service very good.

We didn't have any problems, but friends we made did, and I was impressed the way the staff went out of their way to help them.

There were lots of opportunities like pool bingo quises water polo and lots more I would go there again it was a fantastic holiday and all the family enjoyed it.

When I first read the previous comments me and my partner were slightly worried...however I think the previous comments were left by people who just enjoy moaning. This is a very truthful review. On the whole we have had a fantastic holiday (we returned this evening).

Starting with the flights and transfers, all was arranged to perfection with very helpful staff and Linda was our transfer rep-she was very friendly and helpful! Also a laugh in comparison to previous comments! When we arrived reception was very helpful and welcoming, hotel staff are friendly.

Ok I am being truthful, in regards to the room, facilities were great, kettle, fridge, microwave, toaster etc-all modern, however the bathroom smelt abit musty! Apartment was very spacious but the bed wasnt double but two singles-we joined them together.

Looking at the previous comments on the T.V, ok, it was pay per view (euro per hr) but you have to turn Tv off properly ie not on standby then it doesnt waste your money, we turned it on standby at first but quickly realised to switch it off totally.

On the fifth night the Tv swallowed 2 euro-we reported this to reception and within' half an hour they came up with a straight refund.

In regards to cockroachs!!! I hate them but we only had a few in the apartment throughout the holiday. Our apartments balcony had no sunlight but that wasnt a problem for us. Room was well kept with the visitation of a maid daily, towels very clean, lots of loo roll provided.

The pool was lovely but salty, although this is much more natural than some of the chemicals that other pools use! Googles are a must as the salt irrates the eye immediately.
The pool area was lovely, very clean, two pools-one huge and one small kids one.

The entertainment was fantastic!!! sunbathing has always been a chore for me so the poolside entertainment was a lifesaver, it was such a laugh and the entertainers did as great job with the adults and kids, although I do not have children I will definately consider bringing my little brother and sister as they would love the entertainment/dancing/discos. Adam was very funny and scores high on attainment! So was Vicky 'stratford' she was very good with the kids and was always dancing and singin away!

There was a party for anna 'banana' which was great entertainment watching everyone dance!. Jo seemed friendly and dj was good.

Hotel location is fine with a lovely ten min walk from the lovely beach! A great pub is the irish fiddler, it was so friendly and quite cheap, although this resort is quite exspensive especially for self catering foods. we ate out alot, I'd recommend tuckers. It was a steak bar which was quite cheap and very tasty, its on the main road through teguise 15min from apartment. The rest of our meals were ok, however the by far greatest meal we had was on our final nite when we decided to eat in the tegiusol restaurant!!!

We were not to sure due to recent reviews but let me tell you it was amazing! We recommend the mixed grill for 2, just wait and see how they serve it up!!!! Gorgeous food, great service value for money.

On the whole this holiday has been very enjoyable, we will return, oh and we have amazing tans!!!!

The rooms in the apartment were clean and spacious. The toilet pan needed some bleach to clean it up. The towels were clean but worn and grey. In general the staff were friendly and helpful.

The main pool and kids pool were OK and we had no problems getting a lounger at anytime. The resort restaurant and bars were slightly more expensive than the ones downtown, which is only a 10-15 minute walk away or €3 in a taxi.

The TV was €1 per hour if you wanted to watch it and to stop the timer on the payment all you need to do is switch of the power to the TV.

We had a good holiday, but would not personally go back there. I would recommend it for families with kids.

The Teguisol Supermarket is worth a main mention. 'Rip-OFF' is the only words that I can think of. Their prices were higher than the downtown Supermarkets and they short-changed us everytime. €1, 20 cents, 10 cents. Not a lot of money I know but irksome none the less. Multiply it by 100 times per day 365 days per year and they must make a bit of money. The downtown Supemarkets got our change correct to the cent every time. We stopped using it after the 4th time when they were pulled up for short change.

The hotel we stayed in was just perfect! Beautiful views of both pools complimented our holiday perfectly! We were extremely lucky, having two balconies, one overlooking the sparkling pools, brilliant for sitting with a glass of wine late at night or very early in the morning, and another side balcony slightly smaller which overlooked other apartments.

As for the cleanliness of the accomodation, there is only one word to describe..Superb! It felt like home as soon as we arrived.

Breakfast every morning in the hotel buffet room was delicious..eating as much as we possibly could, it was hard to resist! Late night eating was also very simple in the restaurant below where choice was never ending.

The entertainment team were outstandingly good..providing non stop entertainment and activites throughout the day around the poolside as well as at night. The kiddies disco and so on! Doing the club dance in the swimming pool alongside many buzzing others shall never be forgotten. Also we made a world record of the most people ever to be seen on the dance floor!!! Adam was cute and Vicki was very energectic, whilst Jo was an excellent singer and all round entertainer.

The hotel bar staff were friendly and extremelly humourous... all contributing in making a marvellous holiday which will never be forgotton!

Definately going back next year, with one exception... for two weeks instead of just the one!!!

We have just returned from the Teguisol and we were a bit worried after reading the reviews.

The rooms were old but were clean the pool areas were also very clean and the food from the pool bars was very nice. We did get a takeaway from the chinese one night and that was also very good however the buffet on the evening wasnt up to much but we only tried it the once.

The entertainment team tried their hardest and the only good thing was the kiddies disco. The staff were excellant in the hotel especially the bar staff.

There are 3 floors to this accommodation and the bottom floor is more like a basement room we were given this room first but didnt like it so the reception kindly changed us to a top floor with 1 small and 1 very large balcony with a sea view.

It is about 20mins walk into town but there are bars and restaurants within 5 mins walk form the Teguisol so you dont have to go into town.

On summing up, this holiday was only a quick before our main holiday in July and we really enjoyed it but it was a bit to far into town so I would propbably not go back.

Also for the whole week we only saw one cockroach and that was in the pool area.

We were very concerned having read the reviews on this website. But considering this was a very cheap deal I was very pleased with our accommodation.

We had a fantastic view of the pool, the room was cleaned every second day and clean towels were placed in the apartment daily. Yes the towels were a bit grey but they were clean only old.

We ate at the restaurant within the complex only once. It wasn't great but there were plenty within 10-15mins walking distance.

The main problem we had were the amount of stairs within the complex - we had two buggies with us and we never managed to go to the entertainment area at night as there are 2 flights of approximately 12 steps and no lifts.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from The Teguisol with big smiles on our faces from a fantastic holiday.

The hotel was better than our expectations and was very
clean and tidy. Our room was the biggest self catering apartments I have stayed in, very spacious, with microwave, toaster, sky TV and the usual basics.

We ate at the poolside bar on most days for lunch and had enjoyable snacks/meals with friendly service. We visited the Chinese Restaurant on site once and although the menu was not too big the food was spot on!

The location of the hotel is more on the outskirts of Costa Teguise but did not pose much of a problem to us as we spent all our time round the pool. On an evening we enjoyed the 15 minute walk to the resort centre for slap up meals.

The hotel staff were very friendly and all spoke good English.

A special mention however must go to the entertainment team that 'rocked' The Teguisol. Vicki, Adam and Sophie provided excellent entertainment throughout the day and night. Different activities went on all afternoon round the pool and the evening entertainment was a case of comical genius! Always giving 110% these guys should be given some sort of reward surely!

We would definitely come back to this hotel, even for the entertainment alone.

Myself, my wife and two children aged 13 and 8 stayed here recently and had a great holiday.

What made it for us was the entertainment team Adam Vicki and Sophie who were a delight to know, I got on particularly well with Adam and thought he was fantastic then there is Vicki who has so much energy it tired me out just watching her, always jolly and getting people up.

We stayed in an apartment right on the front poolside and found it clean. However do be careful with the TV it won't accept coins of less than 1 euro.

We stayed half board and the food was okay for the breakfast but the night time food was repeated and there was not enough variety for us, my son hardly ate.

The pool itself is cold, very cold and salty, and no matter how much sun it didn’t warm up until late afternoon. But again the entertainment team got us in frequently, rotters.

The bar staff were friendly as were all the staff, the location of the hotel is about 10mins from the beach but is a nice walk.

I would advise hiring a car, we hired one for the week and paid 135euros. This saved us money long term as Thomas Cooks tours cost so much. For instance the volcanoes tour is about 110euros for a family of four, but since we hired a car we did a camel ride with photo and saw the volcanoes for less than 50 euros.

I would recommend this hotel to my friends with children purely for the entertainment team who were a pleasure to know 5star team Adam Vicki and Sophie.

Date of arrival - 21.04.05
Departure - 28.04.05

Well hello,
Myself, my Mum, brother, sister in-law and niece travelled to Lanzarote for a nice holiday break at the Teguisol. A few weeks before travelling I logged on to this site and was disappointed with the reviews and also got worried!!! But believe me... I do not know what the people that gave negative feed back were on about! In my opinion "what you pay is what you get"! i.e. a good deal on teletext! I didn't pay lots of £££, so I hardly expected The Ritz! What I got was excellent!!!

Heres a list for you!

The complex as well as balconies were safe.
Rooms were spacious.
Comfortable beds. (Non of which "damp" in any way).
Excellent entertainment.
Friendly staff.
Large pool (don't let the salt water put you off! It gives you a better tan)!
Good food.

My honest truth... It was a great holiday... Those that don't agree should have gone for 5* accommodation! Because we all received excellent service!

The entertainment team: - Adam, Vicki and Sophie are the best! From the midday quiz to the bingo at night (which I won 50 euros on the first night!!!) They really are something! The kids will never get bored! You will want to take Vicki home at the end of your stay!

New microwaves were installed in every apartment during our stay! They also have an oven with 4 rings, lol, and clean sheets every so often!

I recommend eating at the ‘Texas’; it is situated on the front by the beach, just walk through the Shopping Centre and down the steps!!! Very very nice food!

Buy all of your perfume, aftershave and cigarettes in the resort and not at the airport! It costs an extra 10 euros at the airport! Shop around first thou! Hardly duty-free at the airport!

During our stay the sun hardly came out in the morning, but did in the afternoon... Don’t worry I still got a mega tan thou! Keep applying the cream no matter what time of day!

The centre is a 15 min walk... but is quite pleasant! Beach is nice, but because of the strong breeze can be unpleasant due to the sand being blown in your face!

Happy Holidays!

The room was clean, the bedding was a little tatty but spotlessly clean, and the cooking facilities were excellent in view of the 3key status.

We prefer to make our own way on holiday but for those who like to be entertained, the staff at the Teguisol aimed to please. They were relentless in their activity organising.

The pools were large and clean, cold but it was April afterall. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The location suited us perfectly, it was far enough away from the centre of town but only a ten minute walk to a main strip of bars and restaurants.

Just returned from a weeks holiday. Had a fantastic time. The weather was lovely, but got very cold and windy in the evening.

We went out to eat every night and came back early enough a few evenings to see the entertainment. Sophie was lovely. Always came and spoke to us at our table after the entertainment had finished. She's only been there 3 weeks, and thought she was doing an excellent job. (Was also the best singer out of her, Vicky and Adam!)

Will be recommending hotel to friends.

Teguisol apartments were lovely. Okay the bathroom needed a bit of a make over but this did not affect our stay. The balcony was very private and has the sun most of the day. The fridge was great, good enough to keep the beers cold!

Even though we are a a young couple without children we still really enjoyed our time.
The entertainment team were fantastic, really friendly, funny as well as very hard working and professional. Well done to Vikki, Sophie and Adam.

The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke very good English.

All in all a great week!! I would recommend this place to our friends!

On arrival everything seemed fine until we checked into our room. The room was in a poor overall state. The bathroom upstairs had no extractor fan or window in so when it was used all the damp air just circulated around the upstairs bedroom making everywhere damp, clothes became damp and so did the bed covers as the bathroom door had a very large gap underneath it about 60/70 centimetres.

Mould was on the ceiling in the bathroom and the bath was stained and marked also tiles were cracked all over the apartment. Down stairs was no better but at least the bathroom had a window in.

The towels were in a poor state a dirty grey colour and all marked. Pillows and bedclothes again both marked and grey in colour. The patio furniture was all rusty and the balcony flooded, when it rained we had to swill it away each time it happened.

The TV is a con as you use money even when it is not on. A funny thing is we were allocated a small amount of toilet rolls, 2 every couple of days, now sharing an apartment with 5 females is fraught enough but we never had enough for the two bathrooms and no matter how many times we asked for more at reception we never got any, we had to purchase our own in the end.

The pool side was not too bad but the water was so cold.

Restaurant food was at best uninviting and cold even at the best of times, breakfast was not too bad but they need to invest in a more modern and up to date toasting machine that one took forever at least 15minutes for 4 slices.

The food was bland and uninspiring it was the same most nights and the children’s choice was abysmal to say the least.

The strangest thing is that the apartments and the restaurant are run by different people so you could not carry a drink down from the upstairs bar down into the restaurant as they required you to purchase drinks from the downstairs bar but if you wanted tea or coffee after your meal you had to sit in the bar area downstairs but purchase it from the upstairs bar as they did not sell it downstairs, confused {I was}.

The location was about a 15 minute walk from the shops and beach area {2 elderly citizens with us} which made it a nice stroll but more shops and bars could be found further up the road.

Another problem we had is according to Thomas Cook's brochure it is a 12 o'clock check out time, however when we arrived we were informed it was now 10 o'clock. When we checked on the departure board they had just taken a blue pen and changed the 2 for a 0, not even a re-print to make it less obvious. We did query this but were told this was policy and there was nothing they could do.

The hotel staff seemed to have a I don't care attitude.

The entertainment staff did and tried their best and were quite funny.

Would I go again to Lanzarote most definitely but these apartments and Costa Teguise no chance.

I wouldn't return to this hotel unless I rent a car because it is too far out for the town.

The buffet breakfast wasn't edible!

The staff are nice enough.

We were there for 1 week & the sheets weren't changed until the day we left & we had to ask for clean toilet paper because I think the cleaner had already used it! But apart from that the pools are great & the rooms are clean.

Good points:

Only 3
Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful
The hotel was close to the bus stop
The local amenities were ok

Bad points:

The room was filthy and dirty.
The room as you go in stank terribly liked someone decayed there.
The beddings were dirty and smelly even tramps would prefer to use cardboard boxes.
No clean towels (suspected old towels recycled.)
Reception is rubbish.
Salt water swimming pools mixed with heavy chlorine burn your eyes out.
Food was very greasy but edible (same thing every day).
Very expensive drinks.
Never clean toilet bowls.
Dirty sink and shower.
Bathroom needed extractor fans.
The bathroom was like it was built by a 2yr old.
Everything was expensive.
Rip off for tv it still costs when your not watching.
In need of make over of entire hotel.

I would advise you not to go here unless your desperate.

On arrival the reception is dark and needs some refurbishment but things got better as we went to our rooms. There are a lot of steps at this hotel so no good for people with mobility problems. The rooms were very spacious, clean but the bathroom could do with a bit of a update but certainly nothing to complain about.

We only ate once in the hotel when we went down for breakfast on our last day €5.50 adult €2.70 child with one child going free. The food was very good with plenty of variety.

The location of the hotel was a bit out of the way from the main town centre but there were shops on the way all within a few minutes walk. The Sports Bar around the corner showed the football matches etc that the hotel could never get in the bar which was disappointing.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The entertainment was Ok if you like that sort of thing but I found it boring in the evenings. The kids enjoyed playing on the pool tables though.

I would have no problem visiting this hotel again but not in January and I would have to leave it a few years as we had seen most of the sites in a couple of days.

This was a good base to explore the resort. The rooms where very spacious and reasonably clean....perhaps in need of an update. We were located at the back of the complex, which wasn't very picturesque, but perhaps quieter !!

We eat in the Cave restaurant once. It was very quiet on the night, but the food was good. We did discover the following day however that we were given a forged 50 Euro note in our change.....but to the hotel's credit they did replace it, which was very good of them, considering we couldn't really prove it was from there !!!

Didn't really indulge in the entertainment, as it's not really our thing, but the bits I saw seemed to appeal to most of the guests, particularly the children.

When we arrived at the hotel we received a warm welcome from all of the staff. We knew it was going to be a brilliant hotel as soon as we arrived there, because the people that were leaving the hotel were sad and small children were crying so they must of had a great time.

To us the location was great because we enjoy a bit of a walk to get to the beach, or the main shopping centre.

The hotel food was my favourite, a variety for everyone, and lots of vegetarian options.

There is nothing wrong with the cleanliness of this hotel, the same as you should expect at any 3* hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel for disabled people as there are lots of steps on site, although some steps are accompanied by ramps at the sides, but these may be slippery in wet and windy conditions.

Another thing there was quite a few cockroaches in our room but that is what you should expect in any hotel apartment, our solution was spraying lots of cockroach killer spray by the front door and the balcony door, and also around the balcony.

It was a good job I couldn't go in the pool due to having ear infections as the pool was salt water, even when I was sunbathing, I could smell the salt water (disgusting) if it was chlorine I wouldn't mind because chlorine is more of a pleasant smell.

Overall the holiday was brilliant with something for everyone.

Our apartments were very much out of the way from the main area. The pool is not as big as in the brochure and the sun beds are packed together like sardines.

Our aprtment did not have pool view so we looked out onto another block of flats. The flat even though clean was a bit dated, refused to have a bath the first night until I had cleaned it myself, severely needing to be modernised in the bathroom, light took about half an hour to warm up. TV you have to pay is a lot of rubbish take a good book. Cleaner was excellent, can't complain there.

Supermarket too expensive take essentials with you like teabags and coffee. Restaurants costs a fortunes so we did not eat at the apartments. Some of the apartments will never see the sun especially if you are on the bottom, so not too great either.

We stayed here for 1 week. First impressions proved unfortunately to be correct.

It took about 30 mins to book in at reception which is dark and in much need of modernization. We attended the Welcome Meeting the next morning even though we have been to Costa Teguise several times and were amazed to find around 100 people in the downstairs bar! The most we have ever seen at one of these meetings is about 20. The Reps proceeded to put on a "Show" which we found very distasteful indeed it seems to be more about them than anything else. We left.

On returning to our apartment we found cat poop on our balcony, when we asked at reception if they could please have this removed they said someone would do so. It took about 4 hours before anyone came, he looked at it and left! Much later the maid arrived to clean our apartment. She was horrified to find this on our balcony and cleaned it up without delay she sympathised with us, but we felt very sorry for her as she had not been forewarned. We love cats but you do not expect to find this on your balcony!
We have stayed at another hotel in the resort which has many cats in its grounds but this has never happened to us before. We bought some lemons and put them on the balcony in an attempt to deter the cats.

The apartment itself was reasonable but well past its sell by date and was in much need of refurbishment. The bathroom left a lot to be desired but was at least functional. The furniture on the balcony was rusty and dirty so along with the cat dirt it was not the haven of peace it should have been. It was very noisy too although we do expect that given its clientele which was mainly families.

We will not be staying at these apartments again.

Well where do I start if you want to be disappointed then this is the place for you.

On arrival at Teguisol Apartments it seemed OK, but as we were just walking through the front doors I heard someone say good luck your going to need it.

Well I thought to myself that someone's not had a good time, but I just thought nothing of it and continued checking in.

When we got to the apartment it was basic which we expected but there not the most hygienic apartments in Lanzarote so we cleaned up and it was OK.

The next day we went down to the swimming pools, the baby pool is fine but the big pool is dirty with some kind of black gunk on the bottom.

When we got to the restaurant we thought it was nice and roomy but the food was not the best, but we put up with it because we were half board.

After dinner we went up stairs to the English pub to watch the football and play pool, this was a good place to relax in the evening.

We did this for one week(the food was getting repetitive by this time as it was basically the same food every night, but don't forget the food was lukewarm and did not taste to good)we just about got by, but then they closed the big restaurant and stuck us in a small room that they use for the a la carte dinners.(the cave)

The same night they also closed the English pub up stairs at 8.00pm so that meant the only place you could get a beer was down stairs at the bar were the kids disco is held.

This means that if you don't like the disco, bingo and bad kids games you are stuck with no were to go in the evening.

The following night at the buffet dinner there was nothing that me and my family could eat so for the rest of our stay we had to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurants down at the beachfront, this meant spending money we didn't have.

My partner did complain to the reps and we got our money back for only four days food.

I must say that the Thomas cook reps were very helpful and polite.

We also asked the reps as to why the rooms were only getting cleaned twice a week and why the English bar and big restaurant were closed for the rest of our stay, they replied that the management had not renewed the contract for the cleaners and the bar staff this is why there was only four cleaners to try and clean 266 apartments and there was no more than five bar staff for all the bars and restaurants.(nice move management)

If you are going half board I would advise to take extra money with you as you may not like the food that is being offered.

If you are self catering there are many places to eat out but we thought that the LA TERRAZA and the PRADO VERDE restaurants on the beachfront at las cucharas were very good.

Also if you want a good tattoo I would say go to the BRITISH BULLDOG tattoo studio as they are spot on.....

We arrived 28th October 2004 for one week. My husband and I and our 2 girls aged 7 and 5.

The kids pool was massive and so was the other pool.

We had a fantastic week and wish we had booked to stay for 2 weeks!!

The staff at the hotel were seen working all day from cleaning rooms to general upkeep of the gardens.

The bar staff were good and helpful.

The entertainers were the best we have ever had especially Lexi, Mahoney, Millie and Ellie (so thanks girls, if you read this!!). The kids club was brilliant and our girls couldn't wait to go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from beginning to end.

We would recommend it to anyone looking for a family break.

Well done keep up the good work Teguisol !!

I have had many a holiday in Costa Teguise. I thought the Sands Beach was good but this holiday was excellent from the staff at the bar to the entertainments team who were first class. You get what you pay for. We must have paid for value for money because that’s what we got.

Food was basic but good.

Weather was great.

Entertainment was great.

Bonus for Lanzarote no cockroaches.

Television (4 euros for 24 hours of news) only draw back
this was a 7 day wonder from start to finish only wish it was 14.

A Thomas Cook Holiday through JMC to Teguisol Apartment Self Catering Departed Wolverhampton 12/9/04 04:50am arrived Manchester at 07:30am. Checked-in, flight supposed to leave at 08:55am boarded plane to be told we have to get of due to leaking fuel from wing, - will take up to a hour to repair. Four hours later ready to fly. Within this time nobody told us what were going on. They gave me and my partner meal tickets as a sweetener.

Halfway through McDonalds meal announced that boarding happening had to cut meal short. Plane very basic T.V in ceiling and picture quality was shoddy lines and colour failure. No thought for vegetarian meal for other half was never given a choice of this, was just handed a meal that contained meat, no fruit juice offered, she did not eat her meal luckily the veggie burger had filled the spot for her earlier. So one meal for £5 was wasted.

Finally the boring flight was coming to an end. A bit annoyed as we had to pay for ear phones, leg room very cramped and uncomfortable, not clean and coming around all these staff are interested in are selling you game cards and duty free, duty free on the way there does not make sense to me, as majority of the flight people were English.

Eventually we got to the Apartment (Not Hotel there is a difference) we arrived to be greeted by a man who took from us details. Withheld the Passports and said you are in room 301. At last we could rest it was 18:55am.

Please Note do not stay in the room 301/300/303/302 only if you are up for entertainment until 01:00am Plus. Their walls vibrated and we hated it so much.

Next day we requested a room change. Rep Linda for JMC said no rooms available, sorry but you have no alternative but to stay in the same room for the duration of the holiday. Not very helpful infact she was very rude and not very professional she walked away from me twice.

Throughout the duration no follow up call, complained to Thomas Cook at Puerto Del Carmen they said if we paid more for upgrade would move us. We refused as we had not got what we had been sold and not prepared to pay any additional cost. Not helpful so filled in complaints form while on holiday wasting yet more of the holiday. They said nothing more can do until Thursday.

Room not very clean, secretion down the side of the bidet, human hairs all in the towels( black long ones) sink smelled like dirty drainage, shower dirty, bedroom smelled like someone had just slept in it before us, not a clean smell, mouldy clothes cupboard, cockroaches and giant ants, silver fish in the cutlery, broken chair, a major squeaky bed, asked for double bed got two single ones - had to push together, a pillow with blood stains on it, no microwave, no trays in cooker to cook on, no air conditioning and no fans available when I asked for one.

Do not leave the windows open due to the entertainment its like listening to Radio one on a Road Show.

Despite a numerous amount of times asking for improvements they expect you to forget about them. The meals down stairs are not as we expected not much English choice and the vegetable with the steak I had tasted very strange to m,. do not know what cooked in but very strange taste. Wine had cork in it.

If you can, get out before the children entertainment starts as is very loud and you won't enjoy your meal in peace, as you would expect.

Hotel is not very clean when I spoke to the Receptionist at the hotel as the towels were not on a schedule to be changed every day, they are changed on 5 out of 7 days. No way towels need changing every day not to be missed how can you shower and keep washing with the same smelly towels. She said you should go 4 star and you must live in a Palace in UK. (All this just because I wanted towels changed) and yes compared to this place, I have to agree, I do live in a Palace.

I have taken some footage of this hotel with my camcorder and I will be making a follow up complaint in the United Kingdom with my Evidence.

I do not mean to be a spoil sport but I was told before I went on this holiday that it was an excellent resort quiet and well recommended. Value for money was not what I got - for nearly £1000 I would expect better.

I stayed at the Teguisol for the first two weeks of September with my partner and my 20month old daughter and I have to say I thought it was fantastic.

The actual apartment in which we stayed in was a lot bigger than expected with a lovely sized balcony and enough of all the essentials needed. The location of the apartments were a little out of the way but not too far as the weather was lovely enough to go for a stroll around at your own leisure.

The hotel staff were fantastic from us arriving to us going home they always had a smile and made a huge fuss of my daughter. On one occasion when we had been out for the day on the bus we accidently left one of our bags on the bus containing our apartment key and our safe key. We realised this on returning to the apartments and immediately reported it to the reception staff she got on the phone at once and and did everything in her power to get our belongings back for us, she then phoned us a taxi so that we could go to the bus station and collect our bag and then later approached us to make sure that we had got everything back and that there was nothing missing.

The cleanliness in thought apartments I personally thought was fantastic, the cleaners came every day and if you were still in bed when they came and told them that they could leave it for the day, they would wait until you had gone out to come and change and make the beds, change the towels and wash the pots.

The entertainment was by far the best point of the holiday, you would wake up in the morning to hear the entertainment team around the pool doing some kind of areobics with the guests, there would then be games and competitions and all kinds of things going on throughout the afternoon. Then downstairs in the bar at night it would all begin with a disco for the kids followed by games and then bingo. After that there was entertainment either done by the reps or by an outside group that game, whilst I was there we had a parrot show, an acrobat show, singing and dancing, a pantomine, jugglers, mexican dancers and loads more.

The entertainment staff especially vicki and lexi were brilliant and by the end of the holiday my daughter loved them and didn't want to leave them.

On a whole I would by far recommend the Teguisol it has got everything you could possibly want out of your holiday and more and I will be returning there next year.

Me and my partner stayed in the Teguisol Apartments for 1 week in the middle of September. We both loved every minute of it.

The Apartment was great and we had loads of room. There were two single beds, plenty of wardrobe space. We also had a cot in the room and an extra pull out bed in the lounge area.

Our balcony was big and we had a great view from it.

We were self catering and often ate our lunch out on the balcony where the sun was always shining on us.

We stayed at the Teguisol Apartment, i went to sit on the bench by the front window to find enscribed grafitti dated 2003 what does that say its now late 2004. Very noisy complex many pub type singers there.

The JMC rep Linda the old lady is not very nice, she is rude and not a care in the world, with my problem with the pool area and our kids.

The balcony was rubbish the garden furniture was very rusty. When we moved into our apartment the toilet was not clean neither was the toilet brush, the bidet had someones fluids on it. The cleaner moped the floor with a mop that really smelled.

The apartment fiddle you with the 4 euro 24 hour it is not for viewing total 24 hour its a clock count down for 24 hours and it continues when off.

Reception is basis so are the personal lockers only as big as a letter box, very ignorant front desk staff they speak in spanish, we were standing 10 mins before they finished talking and came to us had to call them to get attention.

Food in hotel is bland and the vegitable need to be avoided, the clothes cupboard was black with damp and paint peeling, the bedroom at first smelled of other person smell beddy smell, the sheets were not clean must of just left from previous guests.

Get a fan as quickly as possible, exchange your checks expect a 5 percent charge on total, never find Linda when you need her and is not helpful well not with me and my kids.

Advice to you all is do not reconmend this place to you try somewhere else it was a pleasure to leave expect queues at the front desk and Tony said the food and beer are crap, this avi we are making a complaint to JMC. 3+ STARS ITS MORE LIKE A 2 STAR.

I felt like a crimnal at reception that morning in front of other people checking out. I will not be going back to Teguisol apartments

We booked 2 cheap flights to Lanzarote on the web after hearing about a website called apartmentsabroad.com that have a number of rooms on the island. It was a bit of a risk but i would do it again.
The same holiday through an agent or campany was 1200 euro (£800) for 2, we got it for 700 euro(£479) for 2. The only difference was that a compay would give us a lift to and from the airport which was 12 euro each way in taxi.

The complex is essentially for kids with the (salt) pool side entertainment but our intentions were to go to the beach everyday so we didn't mind.

Staff very helpful, the night porter asked what time we were flying at and offered to book us taxi. The room was clean spacious and towels and laundry changed every 2 days. Decor was outdated but fine.

Very relaxing time, great weather, lovely beach, really can't fault holiday.

We stayed in room 300 which is next door to the bar and reception, the noise after 1pm was very loud especially with young children.

Our room was plagued with problems, the microwave was new and unused due to the fact the cable wouldn't reach any sockets, the sofa bed had nails sticking out of the wood where the staff had tried to repair it, many of the tiles on the floor where cracked, the freezer door fell off. But most annoying of all is the hot water or rather lack of it at around 4pm until sometimes 9pm. I complained and was verbally abused by a maintenance worker. I was told to report problems to the reception by phone only to find that the phone cable was missing. I challenged the maintenance worker on how to use the phone without the cable and he became aggresive, this resulted in a visit to the manager, who did take the time to visit my room to see the problems we had experienced. He looked around and agreed the room was not in very good overall condition.

I then spoke with a jmc rep who was not really interested until i asked for a complaints form.

The kids entertainment is ok but the kids world is poor, we paid 15 euros for our youngest son to play in a golf comp for 3 hours, only too find on his return the group had been watching t.v at legends after a kids meal. I'd rather they took the time to entertain the kids rather than just watch them for a few hours palming them off with whatever suits.

All the staff seem over worked and clearly are not in the mood to make an effort to be happy for you.

We had to leave our room at 10 am as you do any where you stay but found we couldn't get a late checkout room and had nowhere to store our cases as they only have a limited numbers of lockers available, so where forced to stay with the cases for most of our last day.

P.s keep away from the chinese restaraunt on site.

The entertainment was top drawer, Viki, lexi, and mahoney/mahayla done a fantastic job entertaining 'pool side' Great food as it had a different country theme each night, however, as we were there for 2 weeks, we had exactly same options in 2nd week. It was only 10-15 min walk from good bars, pubs and cubs. If anyone travels here in the future I would seriously reccomend the Cheers pub, and King Arthurs Nightclub.
The hotel staff done very well to make your stay very enjoyable and worked EXTREMELY hard. THankyou so much. Gracius . The on site pubs barman were very good aswell. The cleaners done a good job, but not great. they still done enough.
I would DEFINATELY visit this hotel again

The hotel was superb and my full family enjoyed the stay loads.

The best bit was the entertainment it was superb Vikki Lexie and Mahoney are the 3 best entertainers ever. All of the events they did were top class and they worked extremely hard and deserve a pay rise.

Anyone looking for a hotel in Lanzerote should go here.

By the way the bar staff are top class to.

We visited for two weeks in Aug/Sept 2004.

Good points were: The rooms were very spacious, with good facilities; Cooker, toaster, fridge freezer, TV, and they were just installing microwaves. Good size clean pool with adequate sun loungers. Shop near the pool to buy cold drinks, ice creams etc. Generally very clean around the complex.

Bad points:
Big problem! Too much noise from other residents. No Sleep! The walls are too thin and you can hear noise from rooms above/below and aside of you.

As it was so hot, the rooms had no aircon, we had to leave our window open all night. Over the two week period, I'd regualry be woken up by parties of residents of all ages screaming, shouting, singing at various times of the night and early morning; 1am, 3am, 5am. The the kids next door would be up at 8am running up and down, dragging wooden chairs on the tiled floors.
Couldn't sleep during the day, as the pool 'entertainment' was so loud! Couldn't wait to get home for some kip!

Minor problem - Lack of clean towels being left, but after complaining we were brought clean towels, only for the problem to happen a gain a few days later.

The complex is on the edge of town, so there is a 20 - 40 minute walk to the main area (bars, restaurants etc.)

Personally, I wouldn't go back again as the noise was affecting my sleep so much!

Disgusting hotel in the middle of nowhere, good long walk to nearest beach and shopping precinct. Not ideal if you are disabled, or have children.

Entertainment very poor, dirty linen put on once a week. salt in pool that gave a lot of children skin reactions and eye infecions, have to que up to get sunbeds be up early to get one eg 7am.

Rude reps who dont bother to help, restraint under ground no air con, cokroaches run around on restraunt floor aswell as in your apartments.

Children get very bored no entertainment by childrens pool during the day as you would get elswhere. large pool very deep children shouldntgo in it; the so called night time entertainment is in the basement next to the restraunt abd the bar is also under ground the heat is unbearable down there no windows or doors they call it the cave believe me its more like a dungeon. be warned.

Payed £2,400 for this holiday from hell and it was the worst holiday i have ever been on, the rooms are dull old fashioned dirty and smelly, towels are supposed to be white they were grey some had holes in.

Could write a book on these apartments believe me they are bad dont waste money even going there what a nightmare bad sad smelly grotty place..........beware...... also jmc wont even bother with your complaint they will try to fob you of just like everyone else but i am going to fight this all the way

Just got back yesterday from the Teguisol. A little disappointed, unless you like saltwater the pool is out I only used it twice and the pool is normally a big part of my holiday,We had an 11 month old VERY fair baby with us. He was covered in 60plus factor however we still needed some shade at the pool area if we were to sit out together but to achieve this someone had to go down by 7am at the latest to get a sun bed with a shade over it (or any sunbed ). We would have been quite happy to sunbathe on our balcony if our balcony got any sun at all (it did'nt).

We asked our sunworld rep on our second day If we could change rooms. She agreed to try. We kept hoping for a week going in to her every other day but we knew we had'nt a hope when I went in on the 7th day and she said I had'nt been talking to her. OH she remembered when I jogged her memory and then said there was no chance. She was supposed to get back to us.

We also had a 13yr old girl and there was nothing for her as far as entertainment went. So if I ever go back to Lanzorate it will be back to the SOL LANZORATE where we were 2yrs ago and had a fabulous holiday with everything for everyone We hardly left the conplex

Teguisol is a lovely hotel with excellent midday and evening entertainment for adults and children alike. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, UNLIKE the maids, who seem to be allergic to cleaning!

Poolside is spotless as is the complex, but bring a bottle of CIF for the apartment!

Had fantastic holiday in the Teguisol. Apartments were very spacious and very clean. The maids came in every day but never seemed to disturb you, towels were changed about every other day I think, and sheets changed nearly every day. Had really big balcony and only one cockroach in the whole two weeks! Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed although our friends didn't have a kettle or any cutlery on arrival but this was sorted out within an hour of speaking to the reception.

The complex is a bit out of the main town but is only about a 5 min walk so it was ok.

The hotel staff were friendly enough and the reception was very helpful.

There is poolside entertainment pretty much all day - lots of different things, quizzes, football games etc. Evening entertainment not so good but we didn't really stay for much of it. Entertainment staff work really hard especially Vikki and lexi.

You really need to be up early to claim your sunbeds! By about 8am there are very few left!

We had a lovely holiday, but.......

Quite a few problems on arrival - although they were sorted very quickly by the hotel staff(key stuck in door, no shower curtain, no sheets until early evening on sofa bed (sheets were very old and thin poly-cotton).

Apartment could have been cleaner - sealant round bath mouldy, plates in cupboard dirty, mirrors/glass smeary.

Cannot fault the food - we only ate out on 2 occasions. There were no windows to look out of in the restaurant, it felt very claustrophobic. The bar area was next door and also very enclosed and busy.
When you go on holiday I think it is nice to be able to see outside and perhaps have a drink outside, too.

The entertainment in the evening was dominated by children.

Pool area was spotless - but unable to get a sunbed after 8.00 am as all covered in towels (although some of the guests did not use them until midday).

We were allocated two ground floor apartments right next door to each other and we couldn't believe how spacious they were.

We had twin bedrooms with large wardrobe, fairly large bathroom with shower and bath, a large kitchen/dining/living area and spacious patio with enough furniture. The apartment was spotless and the sheets and towels were very clean. The kitchen was well enough equipped with grill, toaster, hob, fridge etc. On arrival our friends didn't have cutlery or a kettle but that was sorted out by the reception straight away. The sofa bed in the living room was ok, comfortable enough anyway. The pathways around the complex were lined with lovely flowers which were obviously well tended to.

The staff on reception were only too happy to help and were willing to give you directions etc. to good places to see.

The entertainment team of Vikki, Lexie and Millie worked very hard all day. There was entertainment all through the day with something for everyone really, the entertainment at night was ok but we didn't really stay around for it.

We only used our JMC rep once and she was very rude and abrupt so we didn't use her again, speak to the reception for any questions.

There are two large pools one for kids and one for adults, the only bad point was that they were salt water which isn't very pleasant to swim in.

The onsite supermarket is ok for things you need on arrival but walk about 5 minutes down the road and you will find Netto which is better stocked and cheaper.

The complex as a whole is absolutely spotless and the maids work very hard. There are a few cats around but they are pretty harmless, we woke up one morning to find one sitting bold as brass in our sink! It had obviously slipped through the open patio door. We hardly saw any cockroaches in the complex at all.

The complex is a little it out of the centre of the resort, maybe about a 10 minute walk which is ok but could be a bit of a hassle if you were disabled or had a buggy as it is quite hilly for part of the way.

We would definitely visit this complex again as we had the best holiday we have had in a long time!

just returned from teguisol. definitely the best holiday all of us have ever had. the rooms could do with a lick of paint and a spruce up but having said that, they are clean and well maintained. we had a couple of bulbs out on arrival and these were replaced almost straight away.

you will hovwever spend very little time in the rooms as the entertainment around the pool area is great. the 2 reps there (should be 3) brendan and vikki worked brilliantly to entertain all day. games and fun stuff was all great.

evening entertainment is equally good, all timed to perfection finishing around midnight, by this time the tribe were all knackered anyway. the food is ok, first child eats free so a breakfast, buffet style for us, was only €13. mainly english and all you can eat. was warned that the chinese is a bit dodgy so i ordered in to the room at a fraction of the price from hong kong food city, delivered to ur room for free.

the hotel is a 10 min walk to centre of town, ask staff for short cuts. I would highly recomend this appartment to any families, kids clubs, ents and pool are all brilliant, so much so we are going back in october and again next year.

the hotel staff are generally ok, there was one guy working in reception and i didnt catch his name, however he cant do enough for you.

enjoy

The hotel was ok, it could of done with a bit of doing up but for a short break at a good price you can't moan. The food was again ok, we decided self catering as I'm a very fussy eater and could eat out.

I did eat from the hotel menu but not the buffet which they use on the half board selection. The staff were friendly enough especailly the resort rep and entertainment staff.

The only thing I could moan about was the description in the brouchure stated £26 for late check out and when we got to the hotel as it was booked so last minute and couldn't add this option on, the hotel staff tried to charge 44 euro which isn't much more, but I refused to pay it!

I would travel again to the resort and apartments.

I have just returned from this hotel and can only give it high praise. The complex was spotlessly clean and the areas around the pools were immaculate. We were self catering but we did eat in the on site restaurants and could not fault the food. Being March the entertainment wasn't at its' best but I imagine in the summer months it would be great. The guys round the pool did their best to involve everyone in the poolside acitivities - ten out of ten for trying! We did not use the JMC reps - we had one problem with our lock on the room door, we advised the receptionist and the lock was changed within 1 hour! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone - especially for young families as there is so much to do in the complex and there are many different activities within walkking distance of the hotel if you wanted to venture further out.

Had a brill time with the entertainers paul and anthony, both on there seperate ways we wish them all the luck in the future, would come back to the hotel, if pauland anthony were there, the kids absolutly loved and were tears on the last night, by far the best holiday for a long time.
Food in the restaurant wasn't up to much, but all in all a good team of people in the hotel, apart from one lady behind reception, I think her name was danniella, I found her to be rude, abrupt and quite condesending not only with us but other guests had told us of there encounters with her.

I came on holiday with my two children. I came as a single parent, my daughter was only 6 months at the time.

The cleanliness of the hotel was ok but there was never any clean towels replaced and the bedding was not replaced all week.

I ate in the Chinese restaurant on one occasion which was nice. I could not get into the Cave for breakfast due to no ramps and all steps and at that time of the morning there was never anyone to help me.

The swimming pool was lovely my 7 yr old boy enjoyed really well.

The location was too far from the city centre.

The hotel staff were good with the children but were often hung over.

The evening entertainment was ok for the kids, but did not cater for the adults.

I think the hotel was bad it was not equipped for children in buggies it was all stairs. I had to walk all the way round to the supermarket every morning because I could not get down the stairs with the buggy. I could not get to the disco bit in the evening because it was all stairs and had to hope some one would help me down or go round the side and hope the chef would let me in which he was never happy about.

I think this hotel is not equipped for children in buggies and people with mobility problems, I would not have chosen this apartment had I known about this. My apartment was behind the JMC office I had to bump the pram down 6 steps to get into the apartment. When I asked the JMC Rep about this she gave me a square piece of wood to use as a ramp which only covered one step and said this will be apt.

The staff were not very helpful on occasions, there were 4 other single parents on this resort at the same time in the same boat, and the staff never informed any one of us of this, we could have all got together and had a better time.

I would not recommend this holiday to the aged people with mobility problems or people with young children in prams. Unless of course they have rectified this problem.

This was my last holiday with my family before I left school, and I loved every minute of it! There were people for all age groups. My younger sister made friends and so did I, even mum and dad.

It’s right near the beach and easy to get to local pubs and nightlife in the night.

Taxis are cheap but hotel drinks are expensive but just wait till happy hour most people went back to the hotel round that time for cheaper drinks!

The children’s disco is fantastic even I was joining in! I will definitely be going back to the Teguisol it was the best time of my life!
