There was no entertainment in the evening thou, but you have lots of places around like Los Zocos Hotel or Sandy beach resort.
Don't panic if you go there cos it's a lovely place and you will like it there.

| said: Well we were a group of friends all 17 looking for a good relaxing time in the sun. We found this appartment on the internet and decided to give it a go. We got to the hotel finally and were all really excited when we got their, our expectations were not very high so we were pleasantly supprised when we pulled up. We were checked in immediately and got a map to show us where our appartment was. The steps up to the appartment were a bit of a stuggle because it was about 11 at night and a bit dark with our suitcases but once we found the light we were fine. Got into our appartment and were really happy with it it was fine for us maybe if you expect 5 star accomidation you should not go here but it had everything we needed.
First night we got their we went in to Ariciffe... Not a good idea ! It was haoorible and we never went back.. the second night we went on a club rep night to porta del carmen and absolutely loved it, it was amazing, the clubs were brilliant! If you are younger and looking for a good time i would defo recommend here there were tons of people that were our ages but i think if we went again we would stay nearer to porta del carmen because it was a £30 taxi journey but only 2 euro 50 on the bus! If you go to get a tattoo as well i recomend the british bulldog he was wikid and did my tattoo for really cheap !! happy holidaying !!

| said: After reading reviews I was worried our long awaited christmas holiday was going to be spent in a slum but on arrival things didnt look too bad.
Having a baby with us the steps to the apartment were hard work but the apartment was very spacious although basic and in need of updating, it also had a strange smell Ithink it might have been the wood frames.
However we had a great holiday the pool was very clean.
We didnt like the resturant as it was downstairs as was the evening entertainment it felt like a cellar but a taxi to the resort centre only cost 3 euro or took about 20 mins to walk.
If using these apartments as a base they are worth the money but dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed.

| said: After reading all the previous reviews I was very wary when we arrived. Luckily for us there was nothing to worry about.
Our apartment was very spacious and clean. It is only about a 10 min walk to the centre of Costa Tequise.
The down side to Teguisol is the many steps that there are. Our apartment was nearer the main road so there were many steps to climb. That was ok, but having to lug your suitcases is a different matter. There are slopes next to each flight of steps, but you had to make a run for it as they were mighty steep.
The bar man in the main area found it difficult to stay behind the bar. He was always wandering off to speak to reception, so you were left mighty thirsty at times. When he was behind the bar there was only one pace. SLOW. To say the least we did not stay there too long.
The pool was rather chilly. There was also the family from hell, who made relaxing round the pool, near impossible.

| said: just returned from our time at the tegisol, infact it was our 3rd visit and by far the best, i cant praise the kids reps enough, 3 of my children went into the club and had a fantastic time the whole 2 weeks we were there. we had a massive 2 bedroom apartment it was a trek getting up the stairs but it was clean and spacious and was cleaned most days, the pool area was nice and yes the pool was cleaned every morning as i was up early most mornings. we were abit disappointed with the entertainment in the evenings as the advertised kids disco but this never happened but the acts they had on later were fantastic well worth staying down for.

| said: Well what can i say about the room that i stayed in? it was ok. the bath was awful, i would not let the children go in it because it was full of mould and had brown and yellow all over it. The shower was slow and the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. There was two beds and two camp beds. The camp beds were a little old and used. Pillows...well they are nice and fluffy, NOT! We found a nice big cockroach in the bath one night and often found them on the balcony and in the kitchen. The balcony was really big, we were really lucky to get an room on a corner which was why the balcony was so big. Only a few rooms were big enough to have large balconys. The t.v had a lot of channels but you had to pay. It wasn't bad though because it was only 1euro for an hour.
The pool area was nice. There was two swimming pools, both salt water. The children had to keep getting out because the salt really hurt their eyes. You can always get a sunbed. The is a bar near the swimming pool that had snacks that were ok. There was two shops on sight which was useful.
The food in the hotels was awful. Lets just say if you like chips your ok because you can even have them for breakfast. Oh by the was the chips are soggy and cold.
There was one entertainer so we went out of the hotel every night, to a hotel near buy. Los Zocos. Los Zocos had amazing entertainmene I would Defernetly go there during your vist.
It is a 10 minute walk to a shopping centre.
I would not go back to Teguisol!!!

| said: This was going to be one of the last holidays i would be going with just us 4 as a family. Otherwise, we had decided to start going in big groups and bringing friends.
When we arrived at the hotel, we thought it was nice. we got given our room key quickly and was given a map, which was really helpful.
When we got to the room, we thought it was lovely and spacious, ad glad we hadnt got one with stairs! it was nice and clean, with clean towels and bed sheets.
we liked the poolside but preffered going to the beach as we found that the pool area was really crowded every day and had to take our towels out really early. we loved where the hotel was designated as shops and beaches were so near!
However, the entertainment in the hotel was terrible! it felt like a little child's party. My younger sister even dreaded going as it was so bad. so we prefered to go to Cactus jack's which was just down the road.
Overall we found the hotel was okay but didnt reach our standards at all. there was always 13/14 year olds hanging round at night which made my younger sister feel uncomfortable.
this hotel was okay and the staff were lovely. but this wouldnt be a hotel i would tell others about.

| said: Arrived at 9 30 in the evening, were dealt with quickly.
We stayed for one week, and out of that week the maid came in 3 times. Not one hole in any of our towels, and they were changed 3 times. food was excellent, could not fault it. Yes there was a little rust in the bathroom, but that was the only fault. Appartments were biggest ive ever stayed in, and i never saw any cockroachs or ants all the time i was there. For all those people who have made comments on the site about the pool not being cleaned all the time they were there, obviously didnt get up early enough, the guys were there every morning at 7 30. And most of the mess is made by the british people who give us a bad name. Me and my sister both smoke, but used an ash tray round the pool not like most, who just put them out on the floor, and kids just left there rubbish were ever.Like most people,i was a bit apprehensive before the trip. But really enjoyed my stay.Dont believe what you read, judge it for yourself.I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends. It was nice to go to bed, and not be kept awake, by noisy or rowdy people throughout the night.

| said: The location of this hotel is on the edge of the resort, so there is quite a trek into the centre.
On arrival we were dealt with very quickly and given map to room, which was up a huge flight of stairs. The apartment was pretty basic but roomy and we were lucky enough to have our own room terrace.
The buffet was down in the bottom of the hotel down more stairs which wasnt a problem for us but the parents had to carry pushchairs up and down. the food was ok, but not good enough for me to look forward to going to eat. infact i managed to encourage my boyfriend to eat out a couple of times!! thank god.
The entertainment was also at the bottom of the hotel and I have to say that this was the worse part!! it was absoloutely diabolical!! We only went one night and went to bed at 9.30pm! if you just want a base for your holiday then this hotel is fine, but if your hotel is a big part of the holiday then avoid!

| said: The problems started after we were given the key to our room.
The room looked as if it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth, all surfaces were dirty. The curtains very thin and furniture very shabby.
Spoke to transfer rep who persuaded us to wait until the reps meeting in morning and then speak to our hotel rep.
Things got worse when we took the extra bed out from underneath couch(this bed was for our 5yr old grandson)three large cockroaches ran out from beneath the filthy mattress cover. When we spoke with reception, we were given another room but this one was only marginally better.
Went down to breakfast in the morning and restaraunt not very clean. Meeting was held in what they called the cave, this area was even worse than the rooms. Grandson was bitten by fleas!
The only good thing that I can say about this hotel was that we only stayed there for 1 night. Tour rep quite helpful and we were moved to another hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone , it was disgusting.

| said: The room was spacious but the floors dirty. The bathroom grouting had verdigree all over & the towels were grubby. The hob was a waste of time as it took 20 mins to heat a pan of soup. On the day it rained, the rain came in under the bedroom window & under the door, resulting in water all over the bedroom floor & around the front door area.
The pool area had the beds left all over the place & were never collected up each evening.
The staff played loud music via 2 large speakers around the pool which "killed" any music of your own & also stopped you reading a book.

On arrival at reception we were dealt with and given our key and map quite quickly. Our first thought when entering apartment was how spacious it was. Took our own towels but they must have bought new ones because they were clean thick and fluffy. The only appliance not included was a toaster but we even had a microwave. The maids seemed to be in every other day and kept the place clean.Pool area clean but pool itself very cold. Entertainment good.

The pools were very clean but being salt water not very hot but in the warm days were nice to jump in and cool off.
The food was fantastic there with loads to choose from the buffet. The reps, staff and especially the entertainers were brilliant and certainly kept everybody entertained in the evening.
The first night me and my partner won 20 euros at bingo and there was prices to go up too 220 euros which is great for extra cash in the country. for who ever stayed here obviously didnt choose the right place to stay and should of upgraded to more there liking, 5*

| said: We returned today after a 2 week stay in the Teguisol.
We found the rooms to be very basic but clean although we did find a massive cock roach in the bathroom one night.
The maid(who was very friendly) came in every other day to sweep and mop the floor and the towels(these were a bit on the shabby side) and bed linen were changed every 3 days or so.
The pool was ok,the water was freezing and it was very salty which hurt the eyes.We had to go down quite early in the morning and put towels on the sunloungers though.
The kids club was great...the reps...Wayne,Ayana,and Anna were great with the kids and my 7 year old really enjoyed going.
The entertainment staff....Dan,Donna and Kate were great too. They put on some good shows and kept both kids and adults entertained nearly every night. We too brought the Hold Your Head CD!
Overall not a bad holiday but at times I did feel like it was a bit like Butlins abroad.

| said: We had previously stayed here three years ago and enjoyed it.
This time the complex was dirty, the apartment run down, horrible threadbare brown towels, dirty pools, a child had diarhoea in the childrens pool and whilst cleaning this pool the pumping water overflowed into the main adult pool until parents intervened and complained.
My two children were ill sickness, diarhoea, stomach cramps and headaches and one had the doctor twice and ended with a bowel infection. Noise at night intolerable, fighting around the pool, screaming, shouting, meals in the cavern filthy other holiday makers reported cockroach and maggot in food and cigarette filter in mushrooms. Thomas Cook reps ignorant and unprofessional.
Doctor regularly at complex and on our departure whilst waiting for the airport coach, two ambulances arrived, lot of people complaining of sickness and diarhoea. Toilets in disco area filthy with excrement daubed on walls.
Have submitted complaint to Thomas Cook and will not be travelling with them again.

| said: Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 weeks from the 13th August and it was by far our best holiday so far. We stayed in room 109 and to our suprise it was very clean and spacious. The beds we comfy too.
The pool area was nice and we never had a problem getting a sunbed even if we went dowm there in the afternoon. The only downfall was that the pool is salt water wich stung your eyes a bit.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly especially the bar staff down in the entertainment room, although the girls who work in the supermarket have a right attitude problem.
Dan, Donna and Kate were wicked and a great laugh, you just cant praise them enough, and the 'Hold your head' song was brilliant I just had to by the cd haha im so sad, but i guarantee you would have got up at least once during your holiday and danced to it.
You have to play Bingo of an evening, we won 230 euros one night, we were over the moon.
All in all I would give this hotel a definate 10/10 and would recomend it to anyone including my customers (I'm a travel agent) so don't worry and have a great time x

| said: Have just returned from the Tequisol Apartments in Lanzarote on a self caterig holiday and felt we had to give this report after reading so many negative reports before we went.
We were dreading what we would arrive to, but couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The Apartment room was spacious and clean with an excellent view overlooking the pool area. Maids came in every other day and changed towels, made beds and cleaned floors.
We were 5-10 minutes from the main promenade and beach in Tequisen which is lined with great Shops and Restaurants, where we dined every evening.
The hotel staff were very pleasant and the entertainment team couldn't have worked any harder !!.
We had teenagers so didn't take advantage of the Kids Clubs, but younger children would have a great time.
There were games to be played every day in the pool for all ages to win prizes.
Evening entertainment in the show bar was always good considering there were only three reps (Donna, Dan & kate) who organised everything (well done !!), however you had to get there early to get a table as it was always very busy.
We would definately recommend these apartments and would definately stay in them again ourselves.

| said: We have just returned from these apartments and can honestly say we had a great time.
I read a lot of bad reports before we went so I was quite weary,I shouldn't have been as it was fab.
We normally go self catering but chose half board for a change.
The food was ok,nothing fantastic but still good. Soup for starters, about 5 different main meals to choose from and desserts. We had no tummy upsets.
We had our beds changed about every 3 to 4 days and same for the towels.I dont think our maid did anything else in our apartment not that I am complaining as I am not.We had a cooker, microwave, grill, pots and pans etc so if you were self catering you had all you needed.
The reception staff were always very helpful and friendly to us same as the bar staff.
Our apartment was on the top floor and had a huge sun terrace that over looked the main pool one way and the sea the other,so again we were really pleased.
The entertainment staff were lovely, they were always very cheery. My son joined the kid club the second week and really had a great time playing football, kids quizzes etc. Dan.Kate and Donna work their socks off from morning till midnight. They are a great team together...So well done guys!!!

There was a great swimming pools, which was a bit cold but you did get used to it quickly. Entertainment day and evening was good, Children loved the evening entertainment with reps Dan, Kate and Donna keeping children and adults amused. We did not eat in as we like to venture out for breakfast and evening meals. If you go to Lanzarote. I would thoroughly recommend the Wild West Evening at the Rancho Texas. Great evening plenty of beer and good food, and shows for children and adults alike.
All I can say that the people that disagree with this holiday complex are either posh or miserable. The resort centre is about 10-20 mins walk but nice in the warm weather. My kids think this holiday was great and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

| said: Just returned from Teguisol with friends we travelled with and had a really lovely holiday. I wouldnt return because I dont as a rule visit same place twice but if they improved the bathroom and towel situation might reconsider.
Stayed in 2 bed duplex style appartment. Good points very spacious even though old style furniture which was not a problem.
However, towels were very holely or plucked and bathroom ceiling had mould on it plus rust on the bath and towel rail. Even when asked for clean towels they were of extremely poor quality.
Cleanliness - in our opinion ALL staff worked extremely hard including our reps but too many rooms to clean to a satisfactory level and being a windy island quite hard to keep clean. We decided to clean the mould off ourselves and mopped our own floors. We didnt want to create a fuss because of how hard everyone worked and it was easier to do it ourselves. Plus we were fed up with having black feet!
We were half board and the food was fine an excellent choice for everyone. Ok it was a bit repetitive towards the end of the fortnight but it was hot, a good choice, empty trays replaced quickly and drinks very reasonably priced oh plus all staff friendly working very hard once again. (thanks).
Hotel staff were very good at sorting out our problems quickly and efficiently (I wont list them as it is not necessary) so no problems there.
Entertainment - Didnt do because (a) downstairs and we like to walk and be in the open air (b) we had teenagers so not there thing. However, top marks to the reps for their energy and smiles. The kids club looked wicked as all the young children were joining in which was a pleasure to see - Dan the rep was just so energetic so restassured if you have youngsters they will be well entertained. Also pool side entertainment was fine, a quiz and various games which you had the choice to join in with and the reps were not intrusive at all. They were all very friendly and kind whether or not you joined in - thanks to them all.

| said: I just got back from Lanzarote on Thursday with my parents and little brother and it has been the best holiday I have had in ages.
The place was lovely very clean, my only complaint is people who reserve sunbeds by putting towels on them very early in the morning and not coming down till after lunch I think its unfair for those who come down and want sunbeds and who are actually going to use them there and then and cant get any , something needs to be done.
The entertainment was excellent Dan Kate and Donna were excellent very funny put on great evening shows especially Aladdin which was on the last night before I came home that was excellent a great way to finish off my holiday.
I would definitely recommend the Northern Highlights Excursion and the Volcanic Escape they are excellent especially the camel ride.
The food was good a bit repetitive and if you like chips like me you'll be right in you can have them for breakfast and dinner.
I would recommend this holiday to anyone and I may go back again in a few years.

When we read some or the past reports we did almost cancel the holiday but i am glad we didn't.
On arrival in the hotel we were given a map of the hotel , we found our room straight away, room 117 middle floor, it over looked the kids playpark.
The room itself was brilliant lots of space ,decor nice ,it looked like it had just been painted.
As we were half borad we never used the kitchen but it was well equipped and clean.
The maids cleaned our room 7 times when were there , clean sheets 4 times, we only had 3 pillows , and on asking for a four one, it was in our room within 10 mins.
The food , to be perfectly honest with you there was never a day went by that we couldn't find anything that we liked , it was a buffet style eat as much as you like, the puddings did get a bit repetitive but it all edible

the hotel grounds were very clean and well kept, it was very accessible for instance there were alot of ramps for prams etc. the entertainment was very good in the day there were poolside activities and many sports competitions such as pool, darts, bowls and football (my team won by the way =D) also the entertainment of the night was excellent they involved the audience alot and got entertainers in like brazillian dancers etc. location was great, a 5 min walk away there was the beach and along the promenade there were shops restaurants and bars and you could see the water park from our appartment (3 euros in a taxi) also there was a bus stop directly outside the complex to get to the main city.
the only downfall i can fink of is the salt water pool but i got used to it after 5 minuets of being in there
definately highly recomended 10/10!

We travelled a 15 minute coach ride and the tour guide Martin was very helpful. We got to the apartments and got our keys and when we got to the rooms we were shocked. They were big and the beds were very comfy.
At night for the first couple of days we went out for tea along the front but then we met loads of people 1 of which has left a message on here Sammie, anyway we went downstairs and at first never joined in with anything but then as the days went I did more and more stuff and in the end ended up dressing up as a woman!
The entertainment team were great and the activities they set up were brilliant. We all made friends with the team probably because we were the loudest there! I would definitely recommend this hotel to people and I would definitely go back again

| said: During our week stay in the hotel our towels were changed twice and they looked old and had stains on them. We had two rooms next to each other and after spending about 20mins trying to find them we had to carry all our suitcases up 2 sets of stairs. In one of our rooms the shower didn't work and the toilet broke, it took repair men three days to actually fix it so during this time we couldn't use the toilet. If we didn't have our family stopping in the other room we would have been unable to use the shower and the toilet.
We used the hotel buffet a couple of times for breakfast and it was to a good standard and good value for money. There was alot of choice of food and drink and one child in every party ate free. on the dinner buffet though there wasn't alot of choice so we found ourselves eating out every night.
There is about a 15min walk before you get to any shops our restaurants and about a 25min walk to the beach.
The hotel staff were pleasant enough and the entertainment was great but there will not be any entertainment during the next season.

The staff on reception where great and they where funny at times and made us laugh.
Every night we went downstairs to eat our tea exept 2 nights when we went to the chinese down the road both of these where very nice and the food in the hotel was good for breckfast and tea.The hotel staff where sooo friendly and they even gave us free drinks when we spoke in Spanish an one of the bar maids gave me a free drink because she came from the same place as me.

Cutlery and crockery dirty,I dont expect to have to clean before i can eat or drink Igo on holiday to get away from that! The toilet was broken and leaked resulting in 2 floods eventually repaired on day 4. mildew on bath sealant and about six inches up shower curtain. Excrement on out side of bidet not what you expect of any accomodation. The towels were smelly and we frequently had to ask for clean ones. The beds not suitable for adults particularly one of 6'4''and one had rubber sheet on it. Were they expecting something I wasn't! We did not let this spoil our holiday butit did not endear us to ever go back.
The accomodation is quite a walk from beach or bars but the resort is lovely and the people in the resort very friendly.I would definitely never go back to this accomodaton but teguise as a resort is lovely

| said: Reading the other reviews about this hotel, to say we had knots in our stomachs was an under statement, but after reading some of the 'good' ones we went with an open mind.
Booking in...
When you arrive at the hotel you walk into the 'green' reception area, you'll know what I mean when you get there! You do have to queue to book in, only about half an hour. This isn't too bad considering the amount of people arriving, the paper work that's involved and there are only so many reception staff that can fit behind the counter. We were given a map to show where our room was and found it straight away. Room 135.
Rooms...
Ok, so it's not the Ritz but your not paying the Ritz prices either. First impression was not too bad, we was expecting a hovel. A lovely sized apartment. The kitchen had every thing you needed, from knives and folks to pots and pans, a full sized fridge/freezer... great for keeping all beers and wine cold, a double hob and microwave. The hotel was built in the 80's and the decor matched this era, but from reading some of the reviews we was expecting something out of the 50's! The furniture to me was typically Spanish, very solid heavy pine. The towels and sheets were by no means dirty, but Egyptian cotton they wasn't, they did have a funny smell to them but I think that was just their washing powder. The house keeper came round every other day but only to change the towels and empty the bins, she didn't do any cleaning that we could see. Yes, we did have a couple of cockroaches but we went to the supermarket and got some spray and it was fine.
Don't forget to pack some tea towels, dish cloths and some pegs (there is a washing line on the balcony).
Pool...
Two good sized pools. Salty water was a bit strange but after the first day you soon got used to it, recommend the kids wear goggles. Not alot of shade to be had around both pools so in the mid-day sun it can get quite hot, as do the tiles! Be careful when the kids run around the pools because if the tiles are wet they can be very slippery. Food at the pool bar not too bad, staff was friendly.
Kids Club...
10/10 Fantastic. Our two loved it (8 & 6 yrs). Some thing going on every day (exp Sun). They do a couple of evening clubs so you can have a bit of 'adult time' and you don't have to stay on site.
Hotel Food & Entertainment...
Can't really comment on these because we went out every night to eat and we're not really into bingo and cabarets.

| said: The resort wasn't quite what we were expecting. It was very spaced out with little 'shopping squares' dotted around, it was very touristy and we found the prices reflected this. All the squares had these trampolines for the kids, 5Euro, which cost us a small fortune! The food was nice in 9/10 of the restaurants, but we did stear clear of the English bars and restaurants... we can get fish & chips and Sunday roasts back home.
It's only a short stroll (5min/8min) to the nearest square which is quite nice on a lovely warm evening.
A great day out for the whole family is the Aqua Park. 21Euro for adults 15Euro for kids, sunbeds are extra 2.50Euro each. We didn't eat here but we were told that it is quite expensive, we did notice that some people were taking their own food and snacks with them which was a good idea.
Ladies if you don't like wearing thongs then don't go on some of the slides and make sure your bikini tops are tied on nice and tight!!
Be careful if you burn easy as they don't let you wear t-shirts on the slides or in the water and again the tiles get very, very hot.
The Tagiuse market is worth a visit, we booked this at the hotel reception, it was cheaper than booking through the reps.
Another good day was to Timanfaya. You get to have a ride on the camals and go up to Fire Mountain. You have a drive round Timanfayas National Park and learn a bit about the history of Lanzarote, then onto a small village for lunch and finish with a trip to a vine yard to do a bit of wine tasting. This was booked through the reps.
This was not the best place we have stayed, but as I said before we went with an open mind. On the whole we had a great holiday. We found the staff very friendly (apart from one of the women in the supermarket... now there's a lady with attitude). If you go to any of the staff with a smile and try to speak a bit of their language we found them to be very helpful.
The only thing that spoilt our stay was on the last day, our room was broken into while we were by the pool. Our luggage was ripped open with a knife and we had few things were stolen. Rooms 133 & 134 were broken into on the first day. Apparently these three rooms are broken into quite frequently because they face the main road at the back. The management know of this problem and are trying to sort it out, but in the mean time they are still letting people stay in these rooms... Be warned!!!

We found the reception staff polite and pleasant and also the staff in the bar and buffet restaurant.
Not having young kids with us we did find the pool area a bit noisy but in fairness it was half term week. Although the apartments could do with redecorating our's was clean and no problem with water supply to showers, loo etc.
It was cleaned twice during the week, clean towels, bedding. Loo rolls were all left without us needing to ask.
We did try the chinese one night which wasnt brilliant but on the whole the food was fine. You get what you pay for and for a spur of the moment budget holiday the Teguisol is absolutely fine.

| said: We've just got back from what was the worst holiday that we have ever embarked upon.
Where do I start???
Room: 2,single beds.
1,lounge 3,seater sofa.
1,pull out crate. (2"mattress)
Pillows x1.
First night consisted of several visits to a less than helpful reception in an attempt to procure a minimum standard of bedding.
The room towels were the most ridiclous specimens we had ever been supplied at a hotel, and throughout our entire two week stay we were forced to stand'toe-to-toe' with a laundry manager in an attempt to claim what towels should have been supplied us each day.
Throughout the entire two week stay our room was cleaned on just two occasions however, this only consisted of the changing of bed linin (1,bttom sheet, and 1,top sheet)
On no occasion did the cleaners leave us any toilet tissue. Any tissue that we were supplied was requested personally by us.
In order to secure a hot shower we needed to plan the time in which we used the bathroom.
The external walkways proved particularly hazardous as it was difficult to distinguish the stairway from the landing terraces.
The male reception staff appeared to resent any customer requirements and made little or no effort to rectify these problems.
On one occasion I was short changed at the outdoor pool bar. Upon bringing this to the attention of the employee responsible,I was forced to explain why I thought this was the case and then argue with the same person over how much money was involved. To the barmans credit the outstanding amount was eventually refunded and an unfeasible excuse was given.
We were told by another couple who were also resident there that, following requests to the hotel customer services as to what facilities were available for which to adequately heat a baby's bottle. Their reply was "to place the bottle into the hotel room microwave oven"
To cap all this, apart from the ramps which are situated adjacent to the external steps there is no other consideration afforded to the disabled.
In order to access all the customer hotel facilities such as the, restaurant, the hotel bar and the area where all the evenings children and adult 'entertainment' takes place is accessed only via two flights of stairs. Unless a guest is able to make their way down these stairs there is no other way to make use of this facility and no alternative is available.
Any family with children aged between four to ten years then this resort may suit them well, just so long as they can tolerate all the misgivings.

| said: This resort is basic, it should not be a 3***, maybe a 2**. For a cheap 'allocation on arrival' holiday it was OK. Rooms are basic but clean on arrival, however this standard is not maintained-maid did not clean to a high standard. Toilet yucky and brown towels were unusual! Self-catering accommodation is good, facilities good for preparing your own meals and kitchen equipment you need was all there. Opting for Half Board option when booking saves you money and although repetitive the food is acceptable. Don't expect too much and you won;t be disappointed.

The staff were excellent and all bent over backwards to help. They were all friendly and spoke in both Spanish and English.
The entertainment was good and were aimed at both adults and children.
The kids world reps were fantastic and my children were well entertained all the time even gave us some adult time without the children in the evening by taking them to a moonlight party.
The food at the hotel was also good, they provided a variety of hot and cold buffet style food morning and night.
All in all a total good holiday and will definitely be going back again.

Half board holidays - Dinners - suspicious - quite few guest reported belly problems. Although not serious - but needs to be taken seriously.
Although the hotel complex is kept clean - the place needs refurbishments - doors - tables - toilets - curtains are not the best you can hope for.
The appartments are infested with cockroaches - they come out at night - and keeping any kind of food is strongly not advised !!
I do not recomend Teguisol hotel appartments.

The room was spacious and quiet and well equipped for self catering. The room was cleaned every day and linen changed once during the week. The rooms could do with refurbishment but where clean with a large terrace. The one complaint I had was that it is a bit of a walk into the centre and there aren't many bars to call into on the way back. But for what we paid I had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

| said: If we'd paid a fortune, we'd have been disappointed, but for what we paid, it was absolutely great. We hired a car from the airport and arrived before the transfer bus, so our check-in was a doddle. Reception staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Only criticism of arrival was that there wasn't a sign outside giving the hotel name, so although we had a map, we weren't sure we'd got the right place until we went inside.
The apartment was perfectly adequate for our party (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 & 14). It was very clean, and although it WAS tired (in need of updating, particularly the bathroom), everything worked and was spotlessly clean. They'd obviously done the best they could with what they had available. The maid turned up regularly every other day, and the linen was changed once during the week we were there, as promised in the description.
It was a very pleasant 15 minute walk into town, which had the advantage of making the hotel lovely and quiet at night so we could sleep.
The food was aimed at the Brits (lots of chips), and was of a perfectly good standard. In fact, although we were self-catering, we paid to eat at the hotel buffet 3 times for dinner, and every morning for breakfast. It was excellent value for money, and the first child in the party was free. Hygiene in the restaurant was excellent and there was so much on offer that if you couldn't find anything you liked you must be very fussy indeed. Again, like the whole holiday, you get what you pay for, and as we weren't paying gourmet prices, we didn't expect gourmet food. Didnt' try the Chinese restaurant or the a la carte, but heard good reports.
We found that provided you approached the staff with the right attitude (always smile and say 'Hola'), they bent over backwards to be nice and helpful. We asked for 2 extra pillows and they were delivered within the hour. The girls in the supermarket were really nice provided you made some attempt to speak to them in Spanish (we only mastered Hola Gracias and Adios, and this was enough to get them smiling).
Overall, we had a lovely half-term break and would recommend it, provided you go with the attitude that it's a budget hotel, and don't expect 5-star standards.

There was always something going on day and night to keep everyone happy, including my daughter who is 6 and had a great time at the kids club. The entertainment staff were so nice to everyone and got to know everybody personally. On the day we were leaving my daughter had a little bubble to herself as she had developed a crush on Adam, one of the entertainment staff.
The location of the apartments was just perfect, close enough to the beach and shops, but far enough away from all the biz.
I would definitely recommend these apartments to families as there is plenty to keep the kids and parents amused day and night!!!

| said: We booked 3 days before we flew and had an excellent deal for one week half board. We were allocated the Teguisol on arrival.
The apartment itself was huge with two balconies. It did need a bit of an update though. The towels were pretty bad so take your own. Not sure if clothes in the wardrobes were a bit damp too. Maids came in about 3 times during the week and kept it reasonably clean.
The pool area was great, plenty of children to keep ours company.
As we were half board we did eat in the restaurant most of the time. The food was eatable but a bit repetitive. I've never seen chips for breakfast before!!
The best thing about the hotel was the entertainment. The reps, Adam, Sharon and Gemma were fantastic. They really made you feel welcome and worked very hard. They all came across as very genuine people who actually enjoyed entertaining you. The children's reps were great too.
All in all a lovely break in the winter.

| said: Just returned from a week at the Teguisol and I have to say it wasn't as bad as some reviews made out.
The apartment was very spacious for two of us and well equipped for self catering (not that we ate in) although the bathroom left a bit to be desired and could do with a refurb. The apartment was very clean and the maid was in at least three times during the week. The towels were pretty past it and didn't really dry anything much so I would take some with you.
The supermarket on site had a decent selection and I didn't think it was too overly expensive.
The complex is kept clean and tidy and although the pools were too cold for me (a few brave souls did use them though) they were clean too.
Although the complex is supposed to be for family's the amount of steps (especially down to the restaurants) was a nightmare for buggies, there are some ramps around the place which helped.
We tried all three restaurants and found the food to be fine, nothing stunning. The Chinese takeaway was by far the best, the service in the Cave was very slow and I wouldn't want to eat from the buffet more than once!
Staff and reps were great and all really helpful.
Being a good 20 minute walk into town we soon got fed up of that but the trips organised by the reps kept us busy and were really well planned. We travelled with Thomas Cook/Sunset and found the service excellent from start to finish.
So for a cheap winter break (4 days great sunshine out of 7) we thought is was good value.

We were allocated a middle level room which is not ideal with kids, the noise from above was atrocious as we had a spanish family who had obviously got a long term rental on the apartment.
I would advise anybody staying at this complex to check on arrival if the above apply's.We have 2 small children and for 6 nightsthey were constantly awoken at every conceivable hour through to morning, music,t.v,droppping items, shouting etc etc.
The complex itself was reasonably clean but not spotless, somewhat due to the clientle of the complex dropping litter everywhere but in the bin.
Not a complex I would rush to book again!

We found there was alot of space and the balcony was big (balcony furniture in the room) We went down for our meal taking our card to be stamped to find a big queue wiating, we were given champaigne and then shown to our table. Food looked good but too tired to eat, even left the wine we were given.
We woke the next morning to find i had been bitten quite a few times during the night by what ?
During our stay our bed linning was not changed, I know because we made up the bed under the settee and it stayed the same.
There was no toilet rolls and muck behind the front door that was there all week. Towels grubby and grey. 3 of us in room but 2 bath and hand towels then one ripped when we dried ourself.
We were on the ground floor with palm trees overlooking us so some privacy to sit out. Breakfast was always the same, but the evening meals were good.
New years eve was brilliant same as christmas day. Party packs were given out then at midnight we had a power cut for a couple of mins. but that night was superb.
The tv did cost a bit for the week but we always switched it off at the on / off switch this stopped it using all the money. A god send really with a teenager in tow.

Entertainment staff were just fab we also had the pleasure of meeting both the summer and winter staff as it was change over week. Dan was great with our 2year old as she didn't like him at first but he went out of his way to make friends. She loved him in the end.
The walk from hotel to shops and bars was about 15mins but it was a nice stroll.
Got to visit again next year same time it was just nice not to busy. Would be nice if they got double bed settees in apartment as the pull up bed wasn't very good.

| said: We arrived during school holidays on budget holiday so not sure what to expect.
When we arrived we were quickly processed and given a map to find our room which was the furthest away block from the main reception, but was clean, tidy and spacious.
We quickly unpacked and went to get something to eat, which we had at the restuant. The food in the restuant we found to be great as there was always something deferent and always something for the kids(Bonus).
The location was only 10 min walk to the beach and 20 min to main centre. Everything was within easy reach aqua park, snorkling, windsurfing and football court.
We had a few problems with the water on the first few days and after a word with the Manager Ramond (quality bloke) we were moved to better apartment by the pool(result).
Excursion could be book for the main reception or the reps. We chose to do the volcano and were not disappointed as the tour was fantastic and one not to be missed.
The entertainment there was great fun by the pool and the staff were always helpful and really made the difference on this holiday. Second week not so good fell during football broke arm but again Manager was very helpful with advice, got a taxi to private hospital, operated on in morning back by tea time.(great advert hor holiday insurance).
Staff were great, food was great, location good, Entertainment great the best value for money holidays ever been on.

| said: On arrival at the complex we were lucky enough to be processed through reception fairly quickly and also in finding our home for the week.
The apartment was spacious; the beds were small and basic, twin beds in bedroom and sofa beds in lounge; this made sleeping arrangements difficult, as the sofa beds were not suitable for adults, leaving us no space for adult time in the evenings. Having to make up two beds each evening did not feel luxurious! There was no kettle, but one was supplied on same day it was reported. Lots of storage space. Furnishings need updating.
Rooms cleaned daily. Plenty of fresh towels supplied daily. Each morning staff were visible around the site keeping it clean and tidy.
The food was excellent; huge variety from traditional English, to delicacies of the island - you need to know where to look for latter as I did't discover it till midway through holiday! I would recommend half board if you have kids. They ate better there than at home!
The hotel was a a good 20 minute walk away from decent beaches/shopping centre which was difficult with a 4 year old, who ended up on his dads shoulders for much of the way; in mid summer, I can imagine this would have been nightmarish!
Staff seemed friendly and helpful but could have been more knowledgeable of island attractions; we chose to rent a car - (recommended) for three days, and the staff were unaware of admission prices; they focused on organised day trips, which we later found to be very significantly more expensive than doing it independently. There were lots of activities laid on for the children.
Generally the site was quiet at night - and there were posters in prime locations reminding people to be considerate.
For £900, for 4 of us, we were satisfied with the package holiday; I think our attitude to the site would have been very different if it were a busy, hot period with costs higher than this.
In summary, a value for money, clean site with nice pools, and good food at the right time of year and right price!

| said: The Teguisol was a great hotel for our family, with only one small issue - the towels, curtains, blankets, and chairs all look as if they have seen better days, and could do with updating.
Having said that, the size of the apartment and balcony are fantastic, the food in the restaurant was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal, the pools, although salt water, are huge and clean.
The hotel staff are extremely friendly, and the evening entertainment - Adam, Vicki, & (Jenga)Jo, were absolutely brilliant. Both Adam & Jo are going elsewhere over Winter, which is a shame as they really made our holiday, turning a good week into a fantastic week. The Kids Club reps, Laura, Collette, Donna, & Sophie were also a real hit with our 8 & 6 year olds.

We had 2 apartments (one couple in each) they were very spacious, clean and were home from home. We settled in very quickly. The hotel is situated about 10 mins walk from the town and only cost 3 Euros in a taxi.
We were self catering so only ate in the restaurant once but was very nice.
The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to sort out any problems.
The pool area was immaculate and although the pool was salt water it isnt a problem unless you are going to drink it!!
The restaurant and bar was also very clean.
The entertainment staff were brilliant all day long especially for the kids! Vicki was amazing she was the loudest and was smiling all the time!
Was always good fun for everybody apart from those without a sense of humour!!

| said: When we arrived at the Teguisol we got our apartment key and map to show us the way we were right at the end of the complex,so not impressed.
When we found our apartment the first thing we needed to do was open our balcony door to let some air in because it was very hot naturally, but for some reason the key didn't belong to the door, so my husband trailed back down to reception to report it after what seemed like 20 minutes someone finally came to fix it.
The outside furniture of table and chairs was stacked inside the apartment and was filthy leading me to believe that the apartment had not been used for a while. When I go on holiday I dont expect to have to clean things when I get there so that was reported and sorted.
No pillows for the beds another trek to reception. Key for safe didn't fit another trek to reception only to be told they don't use the safes in the bedroom they have safety deposit boxes at reception, which being based at the other end of the complex was a bit of a pain but at least our valuables were safe.
After finally settling in we noticed that we were only a short distance from the resort centre which was good. The pool area at the Teguisol is the worst one I have ever seen it was dirty and uninviting and unrelaxing, (Management go look at the pool area of the el trebol and take note), that is where we spent all of our days.
The only nice thing about the Teguisol apartment was our nice big private balcony (bbq would be a nice touch)oh and the maid service very good.

| said: After reading the reports on this "FAMILY HOTEL" I was eagerly looking forward to arriving and enjoying a week in the Sun but what a let down.
The water in room was constantly running out, smell in bathroom disguisting and to top it all we had our room ROBBED all money taken, someone using a key.
Other people had safety deposit boxes emptied as well and a few other people had there rooms broken into as well. Rep told me it was a problem here, but I bet they don't tell you that in welcome meeting or brochure. As for the Reps, they are utterly useless unless you are 5-12 years as all they do is kids stuff and that is so Naff.
We had some genuine issues with resort hotel apart from being robbed and the standard phrae from them is " it's nothing to do with us, or not our fault". They even sent me in a taxi alone to the police station to report the robbery, and surprise surprise they sent me to the wrong place, useless they are.
Hotel staff are very rude and not very pleasant. Buffet resturant is ok, in that the food is edible, but rely needs more variety as its the same stuff every night. we ended up eating out a few times just to get something different.
Pool area is very slippy for children and many ended up with cuts and bruises, the pool itself is sea water and not very pleasant. Main pool is like something from a club 18-30 holiday with all stupid games going on.
Evening entertainment well after going down the 30 stairs( stairs everywhere in resort even to get to pools) with prams as no lifts in resort at all, you will be greeted with the most naff entertainment worse than Blackpool with DJ JINGA HIT THAT BUTTON all the time.
As this is our only family holiday this year I am well disappointed in this supposidly family orientated resort and have and will be taking further action against tour company for all our problems a few which we have listed above.
