| said: We booked this holiday only 10 days before departure. On arrival we were amazed at the size of the apartment. It had a huge kitchen and living area. We had two bedrooms which were of a decent size and lots of storage space. The bathroom was massive and had a circular bath. There was a door leading off from the kitchen area to an area where you could put your washing and have it drying in the Teguise breeze without fear of anyone taking it! The hotel is a good 30 minute walk from the centre but only ever cost us 3.20 euros. There is a free courtesy bus to the beach from 10 a.m. which only takes about 10 minutes and is very punctual. The restaurant in the hotel is run by two Brits and you won't find a better breakfast on the island both in terms of price and quality. There is no entertainment at the hotel although there is a bar which is a bit pricey. The pools are not very big but adequate enough for kids - not adults, hardly any room around pool to sunbathe. Didn't really have much to do with the hotel staff but it would be advisable to take keys with you when you go out as the reception is not 24 hours. We arrived on a Sunday night and the maid did not come until Wednesday and then again on Friday. Towels were changed on these two occasions but not the bed but as we only stayed for a week that was not a problem. Would visit this hotel again especially if it was for a cheap week away - but remember this is the Canaries and you will need some kind of mosquito/cockroach spray. We saw two all week in the apartment, one on the day of arrival and the other the day after. Fortunately we had taken the Raid Ant and Cockroach spray which did the trick but this can be said for all the Canaries. So, with spray in hand will be visiting Costa Teguise again!!

| said: Me and a friend booked a late deal, allocated on arrival. Once again we turned up trumps, with a stay at the Tabaiba centre.
The apartment was absolutely massive, have since found out that it's an XL size. There was room for a full size snooker table in my room!
The decor was clean and looked freshly painted. There was a painter doing the outside of the building while we were there, so perhaps we were his previous job.
Well equipped kitchenette, although the two electric rings took an age to get hot. We were cooking at a meal time, so may have been a local power problem. We ate out most nights.
The cleaning lady spotted that the shower hose in my en-suite was broken, and arranged a replacement within 10 minutes. I didn't even have to ask! Excellent service.
The on site restaurant was a little spartan, but the food was OK, if a little dull. Typical tourist fare, and chips with nearly everything...
The bar only has one draught beer, and that isn't great. Prices are a bit steep, compared to bars in town, but probably on a par with other "complex" bars.
The staff are friendly enough, so if you can't be bothered with the 10 minute stroll to town, it's bearable. Big screen telly too, with sport's channels. Real Madrid played Barcelona while we were there, and you couldn't move for local's, all of whom seemed to support Barca. The Brit's decamped to the terrace area to grumble about "Bloody foreigners". Typical!!!
Reception has long siesta's most days, but we had no call on them during our stay, so can't really comment on the service.
The pool's were cleaned daily, and the "Volcanic Gardens" were immaculately tended.
Didn't see a roach on site all week!
All in all, a well run operation, and a very pleasant and peaceful stay.
If you are going in a group or family, rent a car, and make your own excursions. All the "Tours and excursions" that the reps will try to flog you at the welcome meeting are to be had for a quarter of the price direct from the people concerned. (Yellow Submarine, Timanfaya Park etc.)
Would go there again.

| said: We arrived at the Tabaiba only to be greeted with a room which was not clean and smelt disgusting.
I unpacked and tried to ignore the smell but had to go out and buy disinfectant which didn't help very much.
After going out for something to eat on return we had visitors, cochroaches in the bathroom and they seemed to be coming up from the drain. I also found two under the bed half dead this is when my husband knew the apartment had not been cleaned and at the side of the bed where the safe was. It was disgusting with dirt and cobwebs we couldn't do anything at that time of night but got the rep in first thing in the morning. After seeing the place he thought it was just a case of getting the cleaners back in to do their job but I wasn't prepared to stay and asked to be moved which he did, so it was back to packing everything back up and moving across the road to the other side of the complex.
Although it was cleaner, there roooms are shabby to say the least and I definately wouldn't return to these apartments again.
I've been to Costa Teguise four times and have stayed in different places and I would have to say without a doubt this has to be the worst.
It ruined what would have been a great holiday because the people and places outside Tabaiba are excellent a very disappointed holidaymaker.

| said: We only went to this hotel as we got a fab deal, but I was surprised by the standard of our room.
It was clean when we arrived, but a more regular maid service would have been good.
We had a two bedroom apartment which was spacious enough for the five of us, and the kitchen faclities were ok. On first inspection we were unhappy with the balcony with only room for two people to sit out at a time, then we noticed a flight of stairs, leading up to a roof top terrace. Ageart place to sunbathe when the wind wasnt too strong! Due to the location of the hotel we didnt expect a sea view but the terrace gave us a lovely view of the sea in one direction and the mountains in the other.
We didnt eat at the hotel but it must have been ok as it never seemed empty.
There didnt seem to be much entertainment going on so going out is the only option.
If your looking for a hotel near the resort center I wouldnt stay here as it is a 40 minute stroll into Costa Teguise and there are not many shops or bars on the way.

Food was great, as were all the staff in the complex.
Only thing we would have liked was some enterainment, having said that, we went to other places at nights, but still had a laugh when we got back to Tabaiba.
Will certainly be going back, can't wait.
Our rep Jenny was excellent, we only came home yesterday (30th Jan)but are already talking about our next visit.

When we arrived at the tabiba we were happy with our
apartments, we were situated in the older block over looking the small pool area.
The apartments are large and clean, the only negative thing I would say is that the decor is a little outdated, however there is a new block which I expect will be more modern.
We only ate at the hotel once, the food is ok however we preferred to walk into town in the evening.
The location is a 15 minute walk into the centre - it isnt really worth walking as a taxi is under 3 euros.
The staff seemed friendly from what we saw of them.
The bar area is a nice place to have a drink before heading into town...there was a little bit if entertainment on a few evenings.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the tabaiba and would return.

| said: The Tabaiba is on the edge of the resort and provides reasonably clean basic self-catering accomodation. The apartment had two bedrooms, one twin and one single (just about big enough for two beds).
It also had two additional 'camp' beds. The bed mattresses were very uncomfortable! The kitchen is equipped with a basic microwave, decent hob and fridge with small freezer section.
There is a kettle, toaster and coffee maker too but no oven, otherwise it's adequate. The bathroom is large with a decent shower and large circular bath, which should be considered as an oversized shower tray as the hot water supply is limited.
The lounge has a 'pay as you go' tv costing about 1 Euro/hour with Sky one/BBC Prime/Ch4 and a kids channel.
There is a dining table for four, sofa and a couple of chairs. Outside we had a small balcony/seating area and a barbecue area suitable for a disposable barbi. The pool is relatively small and unheated. Me and the kids managed OK but the missus found it too cold! I'm led to believe most of the pools in the resort are unheated.
The bar is friendly with a good selection of drinks but entertainment is limited. We ate in the restaurant above the bar once and it wasn't great.
We hired a car for the week (I found Autoreisen to be the cheapest on the web at 117 Euro for 5dr Ibiza with A/C - recommended)so location wasn't a problem for us, but without a car it would be a bit of a pain and too far for small kids to walk.
There is a shuttle bus and taxi's are cheap if you are on foot though. We had no problems at all with Cockroaches or mosquito's and no other nasty surpises. Overall we liked the Tabaiba and it is good for families who like it quiet.
The staff are friendly and helpful too.

food on the resort didnt appeal to us so ate in town most nights and the bar on the resort was abit boring so only visited that once.
cleanliness was ace cleaners came every day so was spotless but i would suggest staying in the apartments away from the reception side!!
me and my partner are returning to taibaba in two weeks so cant be that bad can it!!

The staff everywhere were excellent and could not do enough to for you.It could not have been kept any cleaner every other day the cleaners came and changed towels and bedding.

The apartment we have was a two bedroomed, two bathroomed, it was massive, they were so clean and tidy and our room overlooked the pool which was ideal for the kids.
The reception staff are really helpful and so was our rep, who was around for most of the two weeks we were there!!
The only thing was that there should have been some evening entertainment for the kids and we would have probably stayed in the complex on a night instead of having to drag the kids out everynight!!
The location was not brilliant as it is a 10 min walk to the nearest shops and bars and another 10 mins after that to the main resort and beaches, although saying this about 5 or 10 mins behind the comploex is the waterpark which is brilliant value for money, we spent the entire day there!! but all in all we had a brilliant holiday!
Would definitely go again in another few years time.

| said: The Tabaiba is a wonderful "base" for your holiday in Lanzarote.
We were shown the location of our apartment in great detail on arrival, thanks to the Help and great service from Reception Guy Terry.
Our apartment was in the Second Phase of the complex over a small cul-de-sac at the back of the first. The room was Massive! It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a Huge Lounge. The furnishings were in great shape and it was fully equipped for self-catering.
The Mini-market on the complex is good for a few essentials but does cost a fair bit. The nearest supermarket is only about 10mins walk (2 EUR in a taxi) and is great value.
The Bar has good prices, although you can get cheaper in town, and the bar staff invoke mixed views.. However, Jamie is a lovely lad who is permanently happy!
there was no entertainment during our stay, because someone from over the road had compained about the noise and the police had shut down the entertainment until the bar was soundproofed, but Jamie said that it was to be completed by September.
We stayed at the Tabaiba in late June, so there wasn't too many children about. (maybe a mixed blessing!)
The on-site restaurant above the bar is a lovely place to eat, it's small and has great personal service.
It is independent from the hotel, so you can´t take drinks between the bar and restaurant.
Gary the owner doesn't allow Sad faces and was permanently making us laugh.
The prices are very cheap compared to town and the food is lovely.
I can't recommend the place enough. It's close enough to town to enjoy a nice walk, but far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep.
Taxis to town are about 2-3 euro
There is also a FREE bus about 5 or 6 times a day which takes you to the main beach.
A Taxi into nearby Puerto de carmen (Nighlife Resort) is about 15-20 euro but there is a public bus every 20mins for about 2.50 euro!!!
All in all A* Apartments that deserve more than a 2* rating.
Will be going back at Christmas definitely.

Only down side is the location. We had a car we picked up from the airport for the full week so wasnt too bad for us, but if you didnt have transport its a long walk to the centre of the resort.
Although there is a free courtesy bus, buses run throughout the day and taxis are about 3 euros.
Would recommend the apartments.

| said: We travelled for 1 week holiday at Tabaiba, we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in the annex across the street and were very very pleased with our apartment. It was something we could have lived in for the rest of our lives as the size was unbelievable for the price we paid, very big lounge and dining area. Kitchen had coffee maker, microwave, kettle, fridge stove and ample pots and pans. All appliences look new and room was very clean, we had 2 bedrooms, master bedroom had a further dining table and en suite bathroom, other bedroom had own bathroom next door. we had a balcony in master bedroom and another one leading into the apartment.
The pool was clean and the pool area was kept clean all day, there was also another pool on the other side of street, this was a dead end street used only for guest parking etc. Staff were a great help, but the onsite shop was too expensive really about £1.40 for a can of pop!
Seems like a long walk to beach and main resort but taxis are there in minutes of ordering and very cheap, about €2 to get to town.
We were self catering but had a couple of meals in the onsite restaurant and Gary the owner is a laugh and a half, entertaining everyone who ate there and very generous with his alcohol measurement's!!!
The bar has pool tables and football table and internet all for a small charge but there is no entertainment like disco night or kareoke etc. Which is a shame as you're so far away from the town.

| said: The Tabaiba Center Apartments are situated about 25min walk from the main Costa Teguise resort in a very quiet area alongside a road which, from what we saw, isn't used very often.
It is split into two sections of apartments, the new and the old. They're divided by a dead end road which was used by the people staying in the apartments to park their hire cars.In each of the two sections, there is a small pool, which was absolutely freezing at the time of year we visited! My boyfriend did venture in, but not for very long!
A small shop is situated in the new apartment area.
We were staying in the new block of apartments, which were basic, but perfectly adequate for what we needed. The apartment was very large. Our one bedroomed apartment was on the upper level and had an en-suite, and two balconies, one over looking the pool and the other looking across the resort of Costa Teguise. The lounge had a sofa and two chairs and a TV which worked when Euros (or cents) were placed in a meter on the side of the TV. It worked out as 1 Euro an hour.
The apartment was very clean, with cleaners changing bedding and towels every two days.
We didn't visit the on site restaurant, preferring to venture down into the town but other holiday makers said it was OK.
The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. We found that they went the extra mile to help our stay be more comfortable. Although we didn't have any problems during our stay, we felt that they would have been very helpful should we have needed their assistance. The cleaners and bar staff always greeted us with a friendly 'Ola' and a smile which made us feel very welcome.
If you prefer to roll out of your apartment onto the beach then these probably aren't the apartments for you. However if you don't mind a nice walk down to the resort then we would highly recommend the Tabaiba Center.

| said: The Apartments are situated on the outskirts of Costa Teguise with the nearest beach about a 20 min stroll away - the beach with the build coves to protect from the wind which is very nice and clean.
There is a courtesy bus 4 times daily to and from the larger beach also very clean. The Tabaiba Centre presents a basic but clean and tidy base to stay.
There were 5 of us staying in a 2 bed which was perfectly adequate for our needs. Kitchen included microwave, kettle, toaster, 4 ring electric cooker (there was a note above the cooker telling us not to use all the appliances at once as the fuse would go but this never happened.
There is a TV with some sky channels which costs around a euro for an hour - great for the kids when you come off the beach. The hot water was in short supply - ok if there are only a couple of you but trying to shower 5 of us was near on impossible - it does say in the book the hot water tank only holds 30 litres of hot water, which is leathally hot when you first draw it but quickly runs cold and takes an hour to heat again (they reckon it only takes 20 mins but it was longer).
Also in the bathroom was the largest round bath I have ever seen, which thrilled my 6 year old no end, but only filled to a couple of inches deep on 30 litres.
Also no shower curtain so the floor got very wet - be careful its slippy. The sheets weren't changed all week and we had 1 towel change, although if we requested more I dont think it would have been a problem.
Only tried the restaurant once - had to wait 45 mins for meal as the 'chef' burnt the fish. I'm not sure how they would cope in the height of summer when its busy, but the waitress did apologise and was perfectly polite.
All the staff at the centre were polite and helpful. The centre also has a couple of resident cats - not a problem for us as they dont bother anyone - just sleep on the seats in the bar or the sofa in the reception - if you are allergic beware.
Provided us with a very large courtesy room on our departure which had 2 bathrooms and even provided towels if requested. All in all good value for money, we enjoyed it.

All the staff were A1 nothing was a problem for them.
The rooms are well equipped. As the hotel is in two parts I’d recommend staying in the older part as the rooms have far more character and very large baths!
The cleaning and linen service was excellent one cleaner actually covered me up after I fell asleep on the bed (in my shorts) after a heavy night in the bar!!!
Terry in reception is English and what ever you need to know just ask the pool was clean and tidy
The walk into Costa Tequise takes about 15 20 mins but the benefit is that the hotel is nice and quiet at night.
Overall I’d highly recommend a stay there so much as to say we are taking some friends with us this year on there first holiday can't wait

| said: The hotel cleanliness was not too bad as our room was cleaned many times throughout the duration of our stay. Although we did not eat in the restaurant as we had been advised aginst it, the food served in the bar for lunches, snacks, etc, was of a high standard. The location of the hotel was pretty poor at the moment as it was at least a 30 minute walk form the main centre. However, throughout our stay at the Tabaiba, there was alot of building work going on around the hotel. This did not affect our stay in the slightest. All of this building work will mean that in a few years time, the Tabaiba will be in the centre of Costa Teguise as many hotels, shops, bars and restaurants are built around it. The hotel staff were not too eagar on serving at the bar as when we stayed, there was a huge sport event on the TV. The entertainment in the hotel was mostly aimed at children which i suppose was perfect for most of the families stying, but with 2 teenage daughters, we wanted something more that a karaoke. I would stay at this hotel again in a few years time when all of the building work around the hotel is complete. However, I would not recommend a stay at the Tabaibs at this point in time.

| said: The Tabaiba apartments cleanliness was of a poor standard, our sheets were changed twice during a 2 week stay, only after we requested it.We had to request the first towel change after 4 days. The bathroom was only cleaned once after 10 days, and the dust under the beds and on the curtain rails stayed undisturbed for the whole of our stay. We understand the need to place used toilet tissue in the bin provided, but were reluctant to do so as the bins were not emptied on a daily basis and often left for 3 days, which we felt posed a possible health threat.
we used the onsite restuarant twice during our stay, we found the attitude of the young waiter to be totally inappropriate to the point of rudeness, his response to an enquiry as to the whereabouts of the toilets, was"there's a bucket behind the bar" the quality of the food was mediocre and expensive for what we received, the portion sizes being small, this was in comparrision to other restuarants.
The fact that the restuarant closed between 11am and 6pm must have caused a problem to families with children who had no transport, as the complex was someway out of the main town. The availability of the free bus was inadequate.
While the staff at reception and in the shop were pleasant and helpful, we found the cleaning staff didn't make any effort to be welcoming and for the most part ignored the visitors.
The entertainment offered only catered for the younger age group.
MAINTENANCE- Several problems were reported by us at the beginning of our stay which had not been attended to before we left, eg light bulbs not working.
The rooms were light and spacious and quite adequate for our requirements, but because of the above problems, we would not stay at this complex again

Our room, huge, was spotless and very well cleaned, seen some complaints on this page about this but we were very impressed at the cleaning standards.
We had a 1 bed room apartment with a large patio outside with a pool further along and another down some steps, both were very cold but clean! The living room was very big with a kitchenette, well supplied with a cooker and microwave and most of the utensils needed. We had a large sofa bed (enough room for 3 people sleeping!) a fold up bed and one on our room.
The restaurant was very quiet when we visited, we tried it once but was too quiet and preferred to walk down to Teguise town, food was ok though.
Staff were not around all the time but adequate.
There was a bus free from the hotel to the beach quite a few times a day & evening, so good for the less fit!
All in all it was a very good apartment block, we would definitely go again, basic but very clean, no complaints.
