The standard of these apartments is appalling although I have heard that it is closing down in September to be renovated to the same standards as Lanzarote Bay Hotel. The location was perfect as was the pools and entertainment. Its just a shame the apartments neraly ruined my holiday.

| said: We have 3 children so were given two ground floor apartments with an interconnecting door ,i was very pleased we had so much space. The entertainment was excellant, kids club also good although the programme did not change for the second week.Apartments in excellant location, close to beach and restaurants. The apartments really need to be renovated and the cleaning standards were quite poor.Maids did come five days per week but floors were not always washed and terrace area was only swept 3 times in the two weeks. There were no sweeping brushes in apartments which i found unusual. To get a sunbed i had to set my alarm for 7.30am, by 8am they were all taken. However we had a fantastic holiday and found all the staff helpful and friendly.

Overall looks - smart from outside and pool area.
Bars - pool bar, upstairs concert bar, english style pub bar on site. Bit dear 2x smirnoff ice was 9 euro's.
Helpfull pleasant staff.
Kids reps very very good.
room was a bit of a dissapointment, tatty and needed some TLC.
Position of hotel - bang on the big sandy beach, with bars and restaurants a plenty on the doorstep.
Wouldnt go back because we always try somewhere new every holiday.....

| said: Just back from a really enjoyable week at Puerto Tahiche. Apartments clean and spacious with everything you need. One of our rooms over looked the sea, the other the pool. Maid service 5 days out of 7. Not one cockroach seen either in apparts or in resort. The pool area was cleaned every day, ample sunbeds, but if you find they are all in use its only seconds to pop down to the beach. Didn't hear any noise from the entertainment or other resort bars. Entertainment at night a bit amaturish but its only seconds from other bars etc so easy to move on if you don't like it. Would recommend and return here.

Cleaners useless! unless you like hairy dusty floors?
Reception staff beyond belief as to how unhelpful they could be! like waiting over 4 hours for your room when you arrive (and you were already 2 hours delyaed)
Dont use the phone in the room they try to rip you off with calls you didn't make but they say you did and calls you did make do not even show on their "correct" computer system.
To say that this place was a 3 star all inclusive is an absolute joke!!!!
Entertainment...... great if you are 4 years old and can stay up till past 11pm - definately NOT for adults.
Bar staff fantastic though with good sense of humour.
These are the views of many, many poeple we have stayed with in this hotel, not just ours.......
If it wasn't for the good weather we think the hotel would have been empty!

| said: We stayed here for one week, all inclusive.
The hotel cleaniness around the complex was of a very good standard, all walkways were cleaned every morning and evening, as for the rooms, if they made the beds and swept and mopped where they could see that was about it. Never touched the tables or worktops. The room we had was very very basic and could do with a refurbish, bathroom Very Tatty - they had painted the bath with normal paint!
The location of this hotel is fantastic as everyting is around you. You can access the beach and some bars from the back of the hotel which was great.
The satff at the hotel were always very pleasent, polite and very good with Children, although some of them did not speak good english.
The Entertainment was rubbish, but if you do like bingo, you will be fine. The three people who entertained, entertained the childern aswell as the adults!! The entertainment was meant to be on till 23.00, and beleive you me they were on alot later, you could hear them all around the complex (not good when you have young children like us) - if you were watching the entertainment you could not hear what they were saying because they were shouting and the microphone was so loud, it just made your ears hurt! We stayed so our daughter could join in with the mini disco, then went out, to get decent drink!! Even the entertainment for New Years Eve - was exactly the same Diplomas, bingo Boring!!
The food - you could always find something although my husband was completley fed up of the food by Sunday after arriving on Thursday. The soups that they had were always hot and very tasty. The variety of food was varied but got quite or very repetetant towards the end of the week. Staff in restaurant very good cleared the tables almost instantly after you'd finished one meal.
I wouldn't visit this hotel again purely, just because the rooms were of a poor standard, the entertainment was ghastly loud and unbearable. And other guests just seemed to let their kids run riot around the complex till all hours which became very frustrating (when your child is trying to sleep).

| said: We spent a week over Christmas at the hotel. Hotel is very popular due to its excellent location. Reception staff were quick and efficient at checking us in, as many people arrived at the same time.
we had a studio apartment, which had very basic kitchen facilities. The kitchen was located in the hallway of the apartment for some reason. This meant there was not much room to manoeuvre. In fact, we could barely get in the room as the fridge was right by the door. Would probably recommend going gor the 1 bedroom apartment. Many of the apartments overlook the pools.
Complex has two good size pools. There are entertainment and activities poolside, but we generally went to the beach most days.
You can stay there on a half board or all-inclusive basis but there are plenty of places around the corner to eat.

| said: we stayed here 5 years ago but we were very wary after reading a lot of bad reports, however we had a fantastic time. check-in was very quick, kids were in the pool half an hour after arriving. apartment was basically clean and cleaned 12 days out of 14 as were the beds and towels. 2 cockroaches in the whole fortnight, but as soon as we reported it to reception they came and sprayed the place and left us the tin. my husband sprayed each morning when we all went to the pool and we never seen any again. reception tried to get us onto all inclusive as soon as we arrived but we opted for half board instead. thankgoodness!! the food is quite repetitive, and really you feel like you are trapped because you have paid for everything up front and you cant go and try anywhere else. the pubs and restuarants are really suffering because of this, so no wonder so many of them have closed down. we seen so many shut from 5 years ago. so think carefully before you decide. my 10 year old had a ball with the kids club. hotetur reps are brilliant and free. she disappeared for hour and half every morning and every afternoon, kids disco at night, which she loved.
we probably wont go back but only because we have explored all of lanzarote now and want to try somewhere different. i would definately recommend this hotel for families.

| said: A weeks break at the Puerto Tahiche apartments in Costa Teguise.
After reading previous comments regarding these apartments our expectations were somewhat low. Unfortnately these expectations were met and more.
On a positive note, on arrival the staff were helpful and efficient and on the two occasions when we had to ask for some assistance, this was provided in an efficient manner.
However, the section of the hotel we were staying in was somewhat tired and dated. The room itself was spartan. The standard of cleanliness of the room was not up to the standard you would expect from a 4* hotel.
Although the hotel is very centrally situated, this can be a double edged sword. On the one hand the beach and bars/restaurants are all close at hand. However, there are a number of extremely loud bars which is not ideal when you have a young family. We were staying in Block D which is situated on one of main roads facing one of these bars.
We would definitely not visit this hotel again or the resort as Teguise is in desparate need of a face lift. There were shops/bars boarded up along the front which did not give a very good impression. Our advise is - If you are looking for a bit of Blackpool in the sun - visit Costa Teguise.!!!

| said: Myself and my friend travelled to this hotel in Lanzarote in Sep 07 and stayed for 1 week. It was my friends first holiday abroad so wanted it to be fantastic-and it was!
Excellent location-easy walking distance to bars, shops, restuarants and the beach. Lots to explore especially if you don't mind going off the beaten track. We always felt safe.
Room was lovely. We overlooked the bay. Basic patio furniture but good enough to relax on in the evening. Nice size patio. Bedroom was fair size. Everything you need really. We had 2 single beds, table and chairs, built in large wardrobe, chest of drawers with TV on top, Bedside tables each. Plenty of storage space. Sliding patio doors off from the bedroom which meant you could watch the sunset and rise from bed over the bay-beautiful. Linen changed regualy. All matching.
Basic self-catering equipment but enough. Sort of located in the hall area but not a problem only if you make it one. Fridge was in the bedroom area which was fine. All clean. We did have soom ants but sorted out on request. Where don't you get ants so don't let this put you off.
Bathroom was very large. Nice bath with shower over the bath. Hot water and powerful. Clean toilet and large sink with vanity area and large mirror. No complaints here. Plenty of towels.
Only problem we had with our room was our door key. It kept sticking and we sometimes couldn't get into our room. Hotel staff did sort it out by day 2 or 3.
Pool area was lovely however didn't swim in pool as prefer the beaches. Looked clean though. Water felt a bit chilly when I put my hand in. Good thing surely with the scorching temperatures!
Hotel staff were friendly. Didn't really need them for anything apart from the replacemnet key.
Can't comment on the food as didn't eat at the hotel. I think the restaarant was in the basement though?!! looked clean and nice when I had a quick look. We ate out or got food from local shops.
Can't really comment on the entertainment as we were out most of the time and hotel entertainment is never my thing anyway. No problems with noise though which was good.
Overall a perfect holiday. Like I said my friends first time abroad. She was 50 at the time, me 26. Both nurses so value for money was paramount. Lanzarote is beautiful and I'd say this is the best resort to stay at. Do take time to explore the island-so much to see. Tip-book excursions though last minute (plenty dotted around)Cheaper than the rep prices!
Would definately come back again. Going to Fuerteventura this Sep so hopefully it'll be just as good. I'm sure there's no pleasing some people going by what you read...!!
Have fun!

| said: Arrived 18 hours late due to delay at Edinburgh Airport, Check in at hotel went very smoothly considering our party was over twenty of us, any room unsuitabilities very delt with immediately and were satisfactory.
The rooms were spread over the complex due to the differing requirements, and all were clean, one room had some ants but as soon as reported, staff came and got rid of them and they did not return.
Towels and bedding changed regularly, rooms cleaned 5 times a week.
We upgraded on site to all inclusive (saved a fortune on tour operator price)found a good selection with plenty of choice at all meals.
Location perfect for beach shops bars and resteraunts.
The staff were a pleasure no problem was too much, they even insisted on clearing up a smashed bottle in apartment, when I asked for a mop they sent in a cleaner who was there before I got back from reception.
Hotel entertainment for adults was the only let down it was very amateur and noisy we did not spend a lot of time in the entertainment lounge.
We would definately return to this hotel complex with no fears.

The Location of the Tahiche was excellent just stepped out the back door and you were on the beach.
There was lots of very nice bars and restaurants.
After reading some of the reviews i was dreading going but i can honestly say that we all thought it was great and we were all very sad to be leaving. Would go back to the Tahiche tomorrow but not in peak season at it would be unbearable.
The rep was there every day except a Wednesday.
Would highly recommend it.

| said: We have just returned today 13th Sept, from the Puerto Tahiche Hotel in Costa Teguise. Without doubt this has been the worst holiday of my life, and I have visited many countries, but nothing prepared me for this hotel and resort. We arrived at the hotel at 1400hrs on 30th Aug, we still were not directed to our room until 1700hrs , waiting for cleaners to finish the change over. When we eventually got into the room it was filthy, floors hadn't been swept, windows had not been cleaned for what looked like months, fridge and microwave were caked in food from the previous occupants, cupboards could'nt open properly. Then the noise started, banging doors, neighbours shouting and screaming, language vile, kids crying, then directly below us was the Karaoke bar, and the beach bar, getting to sleep was impossible, because of people coming in at 0300 & 0400 hrs swearing, drunk typically Brits on Tour, with no consideration for anyone.
Next morning I went to the Rep, and said please could you move us to somewhere quieter, first thing she said was "It'll cost ya" then we never saw her for the next 5 days because she was too busy earning money from her trips. The hotel entertainment was abysmal, and reminded me of contestants for the X Factor, then of course the drunk Karaoke singers started wailing and staggering. This hotel caters for young people and families with small children, I am in middle age and it just does not cater for people of our generation. We went to Lanzarote and Puerto Tahiche on the recommendation of Holidays Direct they assured us it would be quiet, they misled us very much to the point I feel I could never go back to the P.T. or Lanzarote our holiday was ruined from Day 1.
The only consolation was that we had new mattresses, and that the food in C.T is really quite good, however I would advise you do not go to Lanis restaurant opposite P.T theirs was the worst food we had while on holiday, and many people complained. I am pleased to say I am looking forward to my first nights sleep in two weeks......and next year!! well I am definitely going back to the Greek Islands, Lanzagrote has earned its nickname

| said: Before travelling to this hotel and reading the comments posted about it i was a little worried, we arrived late at night but were allocated our rooms very quickly, our room was a little dated though very clean and very spacious, the entertainment for adults and children was very good with something always on during the day and in the evening, there is a kids club run by the hotel as well as one run by the travel operater.I have no idea what the food was like in the hotel restaurant asd we wewe self catering and ate out but the Glass House just at the front of the hotel or the on-site pasta&pizza house do fantastic food, or at the back of the hotel (at the beach) you can get a good feed at the beach bar. The one downside was the problem with cockroaches though the hotel will tackle this problem for you, the drains at the hotel were fumigated twice in the 2 weeks i was there, after the 1st week the problem in my room got so bad that maintence insisted i pack up and leave the room !!!,the hotel could only provide me with a studio apt but i didnt mind because it was only over-night, and i was given a 2nd floor room 1st thing the next morning and for the rest of the holiday i didnt see one cockroach. One other thing that can be quite worrying about the complex is the depth of the pool (the smaller of the 2 pools) you can be standing in the pool and take one tiny step and find nothing below you it slopes very sudden !!!!. But this would not put me off going back to the hotel to stay.

Dont beleive what the rep tells you as the reception will try to help out more. Our room was cleaned every day very well with the exeption of tues/sat.Third floor room with two young children but we really enjoyed our stay. The drinks and food on offer around the resort much better than within hotel regrettably. Everyone very friendly reception could smile a little more.
Perfect location for beach, shops and restaraunts.

| said: We stayed in the puerto Tahiche apartments. We arrived late at night, but there were plenty of staff on reception and we were allocated our room quickly, Our room was of adequate size ,but there was a bad smell in the bathroom, The next morning we found our room in block 5 was right next door to the main evening entertainment venue.guests stood outside to smoke and the noise from this was very loud, We stayed out late most nights so it did not bother us.
The main problem with this apartment is the complete lack of cleanliness, Bedding was changed once per week. There was food debris from the previous guests in the kitchen and towels were changed very infrequently .The balcony was covered in grit and debris from the palm trees , when these were trimmed the rubbish was just left .We also had cockroaches , the Rep was totally disinterested when we mentioned it to her and we had to complain to the reception staff ,only one of which was interested and helpful. We were eventually given a tin of toxic smelling spray to deal with them ourselves!!!!. The hotel seemed more interested in cleaning the public areas and power hosing the sunbeds(which were locked and we had to queue for)than cleaning the rooms.Hotel staff were at a best disinterested . We did not eat in the restaurant or use the entertainment.
We rarely ventured into the pool as it was so cold childrens teeth were chattering while they were in it,
In conclusion, this would be a brillaint place to stay if the standards of cleanliness were improved . We would only stay here again if we could be assured of an improvement .

The staff at reception were really helpfull. When we got to our room we were very pleased it was clean, tidy and very spacious. It was very well equipd and the sea view was wonderful. The cleaners came round often and they were very polite and trustworthy.
It was really easy to get sun loungers by the pool as there were pleanty of them. The pool was fantastic. There were two large free form swimming pools and nice pools for children as well.
The food in the complex was nice and pleanty to choose from. The food was difrent every night wich was good.
The evning entertainment was good and pleanty to choose from. There was mini disco for the kids to start of the night, then there was bingo for the kids and the adults and then karaoke later on. There was also god shows some nights. The brandy well pub was good because it was nice and cool with airconditioning.
The location was very good it was on the beach and by the shoops it was very central and ideal for anyone with walkin difficulties.
The whole hotel was clean. Ireally enjoyd my holiday at this complex it was brilliant and will tell all my friends and family if the want a good holiday to go to the puerto tahiche. The complex was only a 3star rating but i would put it as 4star because the service, clenliness and location was brilliant.
If you are traveling to the puerti tahiche anytime soon dont let anyone put you off.

The apartments are ideally located and close to the beach shops and restaurants. For a family holiday I would highly recomend these apartments.
The only thing is the sunbeds around the pool are chained up and you have to wait till around 0930 for them to be unlocked. If you leave them for too long as well your towels are removed by the lifeguard.
There are things to do a games room and hotel organised games as well.
I would recomend to ask for a pool view as well as the sea view rooms can be above the bars

We had one 2yr old and 1 4yrs old.the babys bed clothes in the cot was changed every day.The kids club was fantastic but we only took them there a few times because the complex was so friendly and family orientated. We had pool view and it was nice.my mum and dad had sea view and that was also lovley. the rooms were very well equipt and nicley furnished.
The food was great and they changed it every night. It was well cooked. The kids loved the food. the evning entertainment was great there was something for everyone to do. And there were great activities to do around the pool at daytime.
I have just booked another holiday to the puerto tahiche thats how much i enjoyd it. Its only 3star but it was great just what the family needed a nice relaxing holiday in a friendly complex and in great apartments.
I will never listen to bad reports again because the were very mistaken about the puerto tahiche.

My children loved the entertainment team and the two pools were kept very clean. Although my children are very good swimmers one pool is very deep and certainly not suitable for children.

The rooms were so clean and very well equipped the apartment was nice and spacious. We were on second floor with a pool view and it was great.
We had a one year old baby with us and the cot was so clean and comfortable he slept better than he does at home it is a great place for families and couples.
The location is great and all the staff are fabulous. this was my 4th time at the Puerto Tahiche apartments and i am now booking another Holiday there in September.
I have never been disappointed with these apartments and always get great rooms. the pool is a bit cold but it is great to cool you down after all that sunbathing.
The reception is clean and the staff are great. The pool is always clean and there is a brilliant life guard there.
The beach is also great and is just in front of the apartments.
All the people who have written bad reports on the Puerto Tahiche if you want a top class hotel pay the extra and go and stay in one.
I would recommend Puerto Tahiche to all families and couples its great.

Rooms are very basic, for the price I paid you can't complain.
Hotel staff are very friendly, pools are clean.
Entertainment on every night, if you like cheesy entertainment then its right up your street, the kids love it though..
It's hot in lanzarote and the wind hides it so my advise, be very careful, I've never seen so many people being badly burnt while I've been away.

| said: Just arrived back this morning from Puerto Tahiche and was pleasantly surprised with what we found especially after reading some of the previous reviews.
Did not see any coackroaches at all during the week we were there.
On arrival the outside looked good as did the reception area. The staff on reception were very pleasant and check in took less than 5 minutes.
We had a 1 bedroom aparment on the 2nd floor which had a terrace complete with table and chairs and a pool view. The apartment itself was very clean and well equiped for self-catering purposes. The cleaners called 5 days out of 7 we were there.
The was two pool areas one of which was more for children as it had two seperate areas, one shallow and one deeper. The other pool was one depth and more adults only at it. There was always plenty of spare sunbeds available no mater what time of day. Both pool areas also had splash pools for very young kids. Every night and morning all the outdoor ares were rinsed down and swept and tidied.
There was also a set on steps leading from the apartments right to the beach, although the were a bit steep, and the gate was always locked at 6.00pm every night and re-opened in the morning.
On the whole the place was well maintained and kept very clean and I would not hesitate on going back to these apartments again in the future.

| said: Having read reviews about this hotel before travelling was worried about what to expect. First impressions on arrival were not good; one member of staff on reception was of poor appearance. We had requested an upper floor with sea view and this is what we got.
When entering the room the first impression was how run down everything was chipped cupboards and floor that was also unswept from previous guests. The bathroom was smelly and one towel had make-up all over it. The sea view was fantastic so we reported to reception who said they will see what they could do, but said that they had only one cleaner for this block room no 2308. The next day the room had still not been cleaned on returning back to the room. In the evening we noticed several cockroaches around the pool area and glad we were on a top floor. To our horror when we entered our room the children screamed as 2 cockroaches ran from the beds in bedroom my husband killed them. The girls were horrified I went to reception asking to be removed immediately we were given the choice of 2 rooms one on bottom floor one on top floor block 3 both not maintained any better but took the top floor.
We complained to the management the following morning and asked for a better room. They said they hotel is very old and offered us a free meal. That was the best they could do. We had a look in restaurant the food looked disgusting so we came away. This night the children would not sleep scared of what might come out of rooms they are aged 10 and 13 and we have travelled all over the world and this is the worst place we have ever stayed in.
The following morning we checked out of the hotel and paid 270 euros to stay at the Lanzarote gardens which were worth every penny. It was so much cleaner and more to the standards of any holiday maker.
Costa Teguise is a lovely place. Nice restaurants. Go there but keep away from Puerto Tahiche. You cant miss it because of the tower over looking the beach.

| said: When we arrived the apartments seemed quite smart from the outside and reception staff were helpful and check in only took about 5 Min's.
We had a ground floor apartment which slightly disappointed us as would have preferred a balcony.
The apartment was very basic though to be fair it is only 3 stars, but room was not all that clean, bath was very old, yellowish/brown and this made water look disgusting even though water itself seemed OK.
We had ants crawling over worktop/sink area on regular basis and worktop was cracked. Low wall directly outside our apartment was covered in ants swarming around.
All appliances in the apartment worked fine but electrical sockets seemed like they would come out of the wall if you weren't careful. Having said the above the room was just about OK besides the cleanliness/ants issue but I think it is definitely overdue for a revamp/re decoration as everything was old and well used. I would say the same about the hotel overall. I think this place needs brightening up.
Pool area was OK but I must point out pool not really appropriate for young children as is very deep, well over 1.3m in most parts but there is a paddling pool. Water was clean but extremely cold in February, but did warm up slightly later in the day.
Not sure what the score was for all inc guests as tropical/poolside bar/cafe seemed v strict with food serving times. We got a meal there once which wasnt very nice as everything was cold and we rated this as our worst meal of the whole holiday.
The entertainment was OK and the kids loved the hero and the grease show and Oscar the entertainer. hotel is definitely not suited for disabled people as everywhere seems to be accessed by steps as there are no lifts.
People with buggies/pushchairs have to struggle and carry them up lots of steps.

Our baby had 1 sheet on her manky cot they provided and her bedding never got changed at all. We went self catering and we couldn't cook in there because the side was full of little insects it was awful.
The entertainment was good but that is the only good thing I could say was good at our stay in the Puerto Tahiche.
I would never stay there again and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone. When we were there several people moved to different hotels because of the state of the rooms.

| said: Having just returned from our Honeymoon in January, I feel I must report on these apartments. On arrival the reception area and staff seemed very nice, however we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor which meant down one lot of steps and up two lots with a pushchair - not ideal!
The apartment left a lot to be desired, firstly only three lights worked in total - one in the corridor, one in the bathroom and a small one in the living area. Cupboard doors were hanging off in the kitchen, the fridge freezer door fell off everytime you opened the fridge, on one occasion we had no electricity whatsoever - however once reported this was fixed within 15 minutes, We came to make our 2 year old some toast only to find condoms and wrappers stuffed into the toaster - again the staff sorted this as soon as we complained.
The entertainment (mini disco) for children was placed in the piano bar which is situated at the top of a lot of steep stairs again not ideal for dancing toddlers or pushchairs. (I feel sorry for any disabled guests) All in all very disappointed with these apartments, love Costa Teguise though!

We did not see any security at all we complained to the reception but they didn't do anything.
There was also a lot of people having things stolen such as bags, mobile phones ect. Finally they do not seem to cater for anyone over 60.

| said: We've just come back from Puerto Tahiche in a self catering 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was a very good size and was kept reasonably clean. Cleaners call 5 days a week. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed.
Only downsides were that some of the furniture could do with updating, and the kitchen aswell, but the main thing was everything worked. The other downside was the bathroom was a bit smelly, but in fairness we didn't report it.
The hotel itself was very nice, 2 decent size pools that seemed well kept. Can't say about availability of sunbeds as we were out of season, so there were always some left. Reception staff were friendly and helpfull. Can't say too much about the entertainment as we didn't see it.
The location of the hotel was brilliant, close to everything, resteraunts, bars and the beach.
Costa Teguise is a very nice resort, seemed more relaxing than others we've been to, but again, we were there out of season.
I'd recommend this hotel and resort to anyone.

| said: Have returned from two weeks at the Tahiche. We wanted to come home after one!
Positives: The location is great, right next to the restaurants and the beach. The pool was great although it could do with some heating!
My daughters lips were blue after 10mins! The staff were pretty good and were all very helpful. The entertainment for the kids seemed pretty good. With our daughter being young we stayed in the hotel bar at night, they had mini disco for the kids which they all enjoyed, we went back to the room after that so cant say anymore
Negatives. Our first room on the ground floor was not very good. The bathroom was horrible and i felt guilty bathing my daughter in there.
We had a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave which had to share one socket. My husband went to change the plug and the socket came out of the wall.
The room was dirty. The terrace doors were mildewed, the floor was dirty. The final straw came when we had noisy neighbors move in next door (not entirely the hotels fault might I add). Heaven only knows why we didn't complain before then. Anyway we asked to changed rooms
Lots better. Beach view and cleaner.
The bathroom could have done with some attention again but I think this was the running theme throughout the hotel.
The food was not good. We ended up eating out every other night as our daughter refused most of the stuff in the restaurant. It was repetitive and not really very nice! On the way home we spoke to a few other guests who were all complaining.
This hotel could be so much better if it were to have a face lift and improve their food. We enjoyed our holiday in the end but I wouldn't go back to this hotel if you paid me and there is no way on earth I would grant it 3stars. Not worth the money I paid for it.

| said: When we arrived at this hotel having booked three apartments for our family needs we were allocated apartments which were all over the complex.
When we complained that the children especially needed their parents next to them we were allocated three apartments close to each other the following day.
The cleanliness was good but there was a terrible smell of sewerage in the apartments with a sea view - this appeared to come from outside as the smell was only apparent when you had the patio doors open (which was more or less all the time.
We found the staff very friendly and the cleaning staff seemed to work non stop. The entertainment was good for the kids but could have had more professional entertainment for the adults in the evening.
Location was excellent, beaches, restuarants, and shops all on your doorstep.
The only downside was the lack of variety of food on offer. I expected the usual variety of food repeating every other week but here it was almost the same evry day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only item that changed was the meat course.
The resort was lovely and I would go there again but not to this hotel unless they improve their recipies.

| said: We've Just arrived home after a week at Puerto Tahiche and was very disappointed by the hotel.
Our room was nice and large and had a nice view of the pool. Well that's the positives out of the way now time for the negatives!
The cleanliness of our room was awful, the stench from the bathroom was unbearable and thank god I've had a tetanus because the shower curtain was vile!
I thought going on holiday in October it would be nice and peaceful as all the kids would be back at school but how wrong was I!
Very loud hotel, if someone flushes the toilet or comes back at 2am screaming their head off because they're drunk then you will know about it!
The hotel staff did hose down the pool area in the morning so at least that was clean but the pool water is freezing! Great for cooling down but not for relaxing due to all the kids playing games, (their favourite game seemed to be playing with the dead cockroaches floating around)!
The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, we decided to pay and have our room longer on our last day as we were leaving late evening and they said this was fine until 2 days later they told us they had booked our room out so we couldn't have it after all!
Instead they sent the maids banging on our door at 8.30 in the morning ready to clean it for the next lot of people!
We had to vacate our room by 11am and were allowed the use of a courtesy room for 20 minutes to have a shower before we left in the evening and would only spare us one towel between the two of us to dry ourselves with!
Our Rep just wasn't interested at all unless we were handing over money and was very rude to my partner. I made sure I wrote this down on the review form at the end of the holiday but once our Rep saw this she became threatening and accusing about it and tore it up!
The pool is meant to stay open till 6pm but they start clearing up around you about 5pm and the same goes with the poolside bar.
I know it all sounds very negative but this a great hotel for families with children as there is lots of entertainment for them.

Our first impressions of the hotel was excellent. The room and pool area was cleaned everyday and although the water was a little cold my children seemed to enjoy it.
The hotel provide they own kids club to which my daughter (11) found fantastic and they also provided us with their own shows nearly every night. The only downside was ,is it that you had to go upstairs to get to the venue and can be a hard with a pushchair and can be a bit loud.
Overall though nice hotel, friendly staff and would definatly go back gain some time in the future.

Our room location was good but not the best. We were on the ground floor facing all the restaurants and cafes, despite booking a sea-view. We asked about this and they said that it would cost an extra 15euros a night.

Cleaners were not that fussy although we cleaned our own room the balcony area and window was not touched for the whole 2 weeks a quick lick around with the mop and that was it and had about 7 friendly cockroaches with us and brought one home as hide in my daughters clothes (cockroach is now deceased)
We had a good time but 10-11 days would have been enough

| said: We chose these particular apts because of the excellent reviews regarding the children's entertainment and they were pretty accurate, if you have children who like to be entertained from morning till night then these are the apts for you, our kids loved it.
The location was very central and its a lovely beach.
We chose all inclusive as it didn't work out that much more than self catering but we wish we hadn't. The food itself was fine, there was a moderate selection and everything was fresh and cooked well. Unfortunately the all inclusive here was very selective, breakfast was fine, lunch was from the beach bar between 1-3pm and you had about 6 choices listed from a different menu to the rest of the guests, if you were still full from breakfast and didn't want to eat between those times, tough! The next time you could eat was 6.30pm , no crisps or other snacks available (which is a pain if you've got kids).
The drinks were worse again, lager was extremely watered down and even though the cocktails were all the same price, you were only allowed a choice between 3 each day, put it this way I rarely drink but drank every night of this holiday and never got drunk!
The staff were on the whole quite miserable, we changed rooms 3 times in 24 hours. The first smelled like a sewer, the second overlooked a balcony full of pigeon poo and was filthy, eventually we were given a room overlooking the pool which was fine but all the rooms need a good overhaul.
The towels were changed regularly and beds made etc.
The sunbeds here are not'unleashed' until 9.30!! If your not out then, you just don't get one.
To sum up- entertainment for kids was great, hotel & staff (both need complete overhaul!), food nice and probably worth opting for if your getting a bargain deal but to be truthful the food is just as cheap outside hotel, location perfect.
We would rate this as a 2/3 star.

The room was spacious and clean, we asked for a view and this is what we got, we looked out of the patio doors to a magnificent view of the ocean. The hotel pools were clean and spacious and there was always a bed available. The staff at the pool bar were really friendly and every time we went there our drinks got cheaper throughout the day.
The reps were really helpful, especially Adam, he had us running to and from the shops for drinks and went out of his way to help us. We used the restaurant once for breakfast as only place open as we were going on a trip early and the food was nice and good value for money. Overall we would go back to this hotel again. Our rooms were cleaned for 90% of our stay and towels were changed as and when requested.

| said: After reading a few bad reports about this hotel on a few websites I almost transferred my accomodation with Airtours 2 weeks before I went.
I'm so so glad I did'nt! The location is spot on, right on the beach !! As soon as we arrived we were checked in really quickly no problem. We were allocated a 1 bedroom apartment in block 4 and with 2 children it was more room than we've ever had on a package holiday (usually 4 beds in a row crammed into a twin room in most spanish resorts.)
The room was spotless, microwave ,kettle, toaster, fridge 2 ring hob, clean towels every day except sun and tue .Did'nt see one cockroach in room at all. Food not bad at all, breakfast plenty of choice from cereals to your bacon eggs sausages. chef there making omlettes ,fillings of your choice ,pancakes and frying your eggs ,fresh fruit, croissants and all the stuff for the ham and cheese brigade.
Evening meal was a bit of a strange affair not for the fussy eaters some nights some strange combinations although you could muddle through, lovely sweets ,ice creams and again fresh fruit.
3 pools and surrounding areas clean but the most miserable life guard you've ever seen I really dont think he's happy in his work he never cracked a smile all week.
Entertainment team work hard but we didnt bother with the show most nites it was a bit like butlins not for us although some might like it. Don't and I mean 'dont' get tempted to go to the shamrock irish bar out of the hotel straight on across the road in the little courtyard 3 soft drinks and 1 smirnoff ice 15 euros!! Needed a stiff drink to get over the shock.
Some lovely restaurants around sea front if you want to give evening meal a miss one night,we had a fab Chinese and relly cheap.
I must give a mention to the BAY VIEW bar right on the end of the beach best prices on food, all home made, iced pint of san miguel 1 euro 50 and a lovely welcome. Give it a try don't be tempted into the bars on the way save yourself and your pocket going to the BAY VIEW and there's a short cut up the side of it back to the hotel too.
All in all a fab holiday definatly go back again to this resort and this accomodation, and to all those who slagged off this accomodation if you want platinum go and book it and pay the prices.

| said: We stayed in the Puerto Tahiche Aparthotel, from 20.4.06 until 4.5.06 on half-board basis.
The Hotel itself is very well located, with alot of entertainment around the hotel. The rooms were furnished to a good level and cleaned every other day.
The view from the hotel is beautiful (if you get a sea-view room) however if you get a pool-view on the bottom floor, you hear the cleaners and their trolleys over the pavements from around 6.30 am, but over the fortnight and a few scoops the night before, you do get used to the noise!
We found the food to be of an excellent standard. There was a great choice each and every night, with a carvery selection, and at least five hot dishes and also a salad bar with a selection of cold meat and cheeses, plus a choice of desserts and ice-cream.

| said: Just arived back, and all we can say is absolutely brilliant place to stay.
Its clean in the room and around the pool / reception area, its in a perfect location only 5 minutes from the beach, there was always loads of sunbeds / space around the pool area.
We ate out everynight and would highly recommend the Casa Blanca which was just around the corner from the hotel.
No more to say except, you will not be disappointed if you stay at the Puerto Tahiche.
