| said: This was our 6th visit to this complex. We come time and time again as it feels like home. However, on this occasion I found that Turkey has become very expensive and as lovely as the Turkish people are, all they seemed to be interested in was your money. They seem to be of the opinion that we are rich if we are able to holiday in Turkey!!!! Apart from the expense, we yet again had a lovely and relaxing holiday. Found, however, that there were many selfish Brits who got up at 3am, yes 3am, to reserve particular sunbeds. They were a joke. Especially when one of my friends saw someone putting their towels out at 3am and when they went back to their apartment, my friend moved his towel. When the Brit came down at 10am he moaned that his towel had been moved!!!! Please note, there is no need to reserve sunbeds, there is enough for everyone and if you find that you are unable to get one, then just ask the staff and they will find one for you. Its not rocket science. Eat several times here but found that the quality of the food was not as good as last year and believe they may have changed their chef - who knows! The location is great as you don't have to go down to the front at all if you don't want to, there are many places to eat, drink or sing around here, like Adam & Eves, where my 7 year old danced on the bar. The staff, in particular Irkan, Restaurant Manager, are very good but you will find Jamalie very sullen and obnoxious. Somal is also very lovely.
Would go back again if I can find the money but as I said before it is very expensive and don't know if I will be able to afford self-catering in Turkey again.

| said: Rooms were basic but very clean and roomy, they were well situated next to the pool, but ours had no balconies. On the first morning I went for sunbeds at 8.30 but was far to late, it was 6.30 from then on which I didn't mind but could be a problem if you are not an early riser. Food at the restaurant was very good and resonably priced. Drink prices were about average with other bars and restaurants, although a pint of coke cost 7YTL whilst a pint of beer was 4.75 YTL, happy hour was 7-8 where all local drinks were 2 for one.
Approximately 10 minute walk to main resort which we found to be too busy, but a couple of good places to eat, The Garden and Natalies we all liked. The hotel staff were very good especially Reece, Ossie and Compi who got to know our names on the first day and included us in all the days activities whether we wanted to or not, this wasn't really a problem as we don't mind having a laugh. Evening entertainment was ok apart from the snake show which we found boring, silly games and quizzes were good fun.
The beach was ok sunbeds are free but you are expected to buy all drinks from the bar you sit in front of, some were more pushy than others. We spent 2 days infront of the water park, our kids went in and we stayed on the beach, we had lunch in the bar and then they didn't worry too much about us not buying drinks all day.
We had 2 turkish baths whilst we were there both booked through our first choice rep, very relaxing and worth doing. We also went on a jeep safari which was a good day out, however we heard later that the had been 2 fatalities the previous day,and you can see how accidents happen with all the water pistol fights and drivers fooling about. Again our trip was booked via our rep and did appear to be safer than some of the others we saw, they do advise you not to book from the booths as you may not have the same liability cover.
On our last day we went on the Dalyan Transfer which was a good day apart from the visit to the rug showroom where they tried to sell us some nice but expensive rugs, thinly disguised as a visit to see local crafts. The scenery at Dalyan was spectacular and we all enjoyed the mud bath. On both trips meals were included but drinks are extra and not the cheapest we had during the 2 weeks.
This was our first visit to Turkey and we were impressed with how proud the Turks are of their country and are proud to fly their national flag. They are genuinley grateful that we chose to holiday there. We would definately return to Turkey but possibly somewhere a little less commercialised and busy than Marmaris

Staff are excellent and the entertainers (Yimas, Compi, Reece and Ozzie) work so hard to keep the smile on your faces. Usual kettle, toaster and two ring cooker in the apartments. Place kept spotless as usual and in my opinion in a good location, go out the rear exit and you will be at the front in about 8 mins walk.

Few changes this year in the apartments themselves with toasters being supplied and new surfaces on the tables and chairs. Also all the tables and chairs at the poolside bar (Seagull) were new. The place was looking good. Place kept spotlesly clean as usual. Met up with many members of staff who have been there as long as us and it was good to see them. Ate within the apartments own restaurant three times and the food was excellent.Entertainment on a similar theme as previous years but with some subtle changes at night like the Magic Show and the Snakeshow. Have to say, never got to understand why the beautiful Airtours rep wore a black armband ...

Would highly reccomend Club Turquoise to anyone wanting a relaxing but fun holiday where your made to feel relaxed and welcome.
This is a self catering complex with a poolside bar offering you good value meals/snacks through the day, there is also a restuarant open during the evening. Both offer good value meals.
The complex is about 10 mins walk from the beach and main shops and is set on a quiet road away from the main noise. The entertainment staff work extemely hard with both the children and adults.
This was one of the best holidays we've ever been on and will def be visiting again.

Five years on the trot, it’s superb. When you get home your heart will sink, I cannot praise the Turkish people enough especially at the Turquoise, it is a very special place.

| said: Should point out right from the start that this was our 8th visit to Club Turquoise so I am a bit biased .. Went to Club Alize last year, liked it, but it's not Turquoise.
The apartments are spacious but have not changed much inside over the years. Don't get me wrong they have everything you need but I know from speaking with the manager he is pushing the owner to release funds for a bit of an upgrade inside. Having said that they are very clean and are kept that way during your holiday. If you get a one bedroom the air con is in the living room so leave the room door open at night (if you can ...)
The large pool dominates the apartments and is fabulous. It really is a fabulous setting at night and eating in restaurant by the pool is great.
Turquoise is located on the edge of the Armutalan area. A good location in my opinion. You are about a 12 min walk to the beach and all the activities there.
Staff in the Turquoise are great. Like most Turks they like to improve their English and like to talk. We met up with many of the staff who have been there for years.
The entertainment hasn't changed much over the years but is pitched to allow everyone to have a good time. You get darts, a poolside game, water polo and Bingo (yes Bingo ..)during the day and comic animation, BBQ nights, karaoke and all sorts at night. Plenty to do with electronic games and Internet access.
8 visits sort of lets you know our opinion of Turquoise and this year was no different.

| said: This was my first time in Turkey, and we were all very impressed.
The hotel was very clean and staff would bend over backwards to help. We really enjoyed our stay and ate out all the time very cheap, full English breakfast from 80p to £1, most of the time we ate at Matty's for breakfast, very nice staff were friendly, also beware of Adam and Eves restaurant, when you come out of the hotel turn right and its just along from hotel on same side of the road. The place is filthy and very overpriced. It was our last night and after getting ready to go home we thought we would try the place as its close by. The glasses that they give you drinks in were sticky and the soft drinks were local drinks and they charged 5lira each, it was the most expensive meal by far, most places soft drinks were 2.50 to 3 lira and it is the real thing, so eat there at your own peril.......
Other than that we loved it and will be definitely going back to turkey, it was lovely....

| said: We stayed at the Club Turquoise in Mamaris. Quite a mixed bunch as we took my 75 year old mum, daughter Holly 3 and a friend of the family.
What was it like? Fantastic! Cannot praise the Turkish people too highly, whether it was on the complex or at one of the many bars/restaurants - they made our holiday! Not easy when we all had different expectations.
Just down the road from Club Turquoise were the Adam and Eve and the Robin Hood eateries, although we had intended to visit somewhere different every night we could not miss out on calling in either of these two for a drink at least once every other day. Special thanks to Joseph from the Robin Hood who even came and covered Holly up with a blanket when she fell asleep over the meal one night. Read a report on here which said the Adam and Eve was dirty and overpriced - was it the same one we went to? Can't believe it.
As for the apartments, without being asked they allocated us a ground floor apartment in deference to my mum and Holly - very very clean - the female maids were friendly and we managed to converse even though none of us spoke their language - a smile says it all!
The Hotel staff worked very very hard - if you wanted fuss and attention you got it - if you wanted a more laid back approach, you got it.
As for all the Turkish people we met - superb - never met nicer people at any time in any country. Put it this way - my three year old is already telling family and friends that they have to go and when can we go back? As soon as possible Holly - as soon as possible!

As usual the rooms were very clean and tidy and in fact the whole complex was clean. For anyone who hasnt't been it has a great location only 5 minute walk from the main centre but quiet enough to get to sleep when you want.
Food still quite cheap in Marmaris as are clothes.Would recommend this place to anyone. Irfan the manager is very friendly and will do anything he can to help. We usually go in September, and usually bump into the same people returning every year, but this year deceided to try May it was just as good and can't wait to return. SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!!

| said: Club Turquoise is an overall gem of a place to stay. Cleanliness and friendliness are top of the list.
We stayed with our two teenagers (aged 17 & 15) who were treated with great respect. The entertainment team were encouraging but not in your face if that was your desire. The bar staff were the best we have ever encountered and we can't wait to see them again.
We asked for a room with limited noise and were so pleased to get a great nights sleep as we have had so many bad experiences of achieving this in Spain. Again the differences in the countries was obvious by the way you were made feel that it was a pleasure to serve you, whereas the Spanish give the impression that they are doing you a favour.
The hairdresser also gives a great turkish shave and is great craic.
Overall a great time and we were sorry to leave.

| said: Prior to going to Marmaris I had my doubts as to whether it would be my cup of tea as we have always gone to Olu Deniz before and I knew this would be bigger and brasher. Have to say that I loved it. All of it.
Travelled with my husband and 2 teenage kids and there was plenty to suit all of us. As we were transferring by coach from Dalaman some of the aprtment blocks we were stopping at to drop others off (we were the last drop off as usual!!!) seemed slightly scruffy and I began to dread what we were going to find when we got to the Club Turquoise. Needn't have worried at all.
The apartments are fab and extrememly good value for the money. We had requested a ground floor apartment because my husband who has MS uses a wheelchair when we're abroad and the apartment they gave us was lovely with 2 huge balconies and a pool view. The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean. The maids are amazing. The towels and linen arranged on the beds with fresh flowers etc and the sort of touches you only expect when staying in a much more expensive place. They went the extra mile with the cleaning and did a really thorough job every time they were in. I can't praise them enough.
We ate at the aprtments own a la carte restaurant 3 times during our stay and the prices were very reasonable and the food was very good too. Spoke to the manager Irfan while we were there and apparently he is adament that the staff perform well. He told us that the apartments have won many awards and I can quite believe it.
The location of the Turquoise is just about right in my opinion. A five minute walk from the beachfront but far enough away that it's really quiet at night enabling you to get a good sleep etc.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Tolkar on reception was especially nice and told me that he's going to be one of the managers of a new place the owners are opening next May just along the road called the Club Alize. Irfan reckoned it's going to be the best in Marmaris.
The only thing that I found a bit wanting was the entertainment. It was a bit repetetive and I feel they would benefit from a 2 week programme rather than repeating every week. Also 2 karaoke nights in 1 week is definitely not my thing! (Maybe that's cos I can't sing!) In fairness, maybe things are not so lively at the end of the season and perhaps the entertainment is better during July and August.
My teenage daughter and I hit Bar Street and the Beachfront several times and had a ball. (It's amazing what you'll do when you're away from home and nobody knows you!) I'm already thinking seriously about returning to Marmaris next year and my only decision will be whether to go to the Turquise again or try the new Club Alize.

| said: The turquoise was the best holiday I have ever been on. After going to another place in Greece that was excellent, we didn’t think we could have a better holiday. I was wrong! I had the time of my life.
The cleanliness of the hotel was superb and being a child I thought I might not like Turkish food but the hotels own restaurant was brilliant. We ate there every night. It was that good.
The location was brilliant. The shops around about were great. I got loads of tops for about 3 for a 10.
The bar staff was awesome. Especially Serkan, the table tennis guy!
The entertainment staff were excellent. Kiki, Tarkan, Kim n aircon were great.
There was pool games every day and the club dance, water dance, and the pool party on Monday was extremely fun.
I would deff visit this hotel again. We have already booked for next year and I can’t wait.

| said: This was my first time in marmaris and i absolutly loved it, im definatly going back next year, its a fantastic place to be.
I found no fault atall with club turquiose and i would higly reccomend going there, as it is very clean and tidy due to being looked after greatly. and there are no words to describe how great the staff are, they are the friendlyest people you could meet and will do just about anything for you, the entertainment is good in the day and at night as well as the entertainment staff, including kim, ozzy and aircon. aircon is brilliant and extremly entertaining, just like ozzy who will have you laughing non stop and kim is great with the kids.
the location is perfect as its just a short walk to all the resturants and bars if that is your scene. its was definatly my scene i was out every night till early hours of the morning and was happy coming back to an open bar at the hotel as it is 24/7 which i think is great. but at the same time you cant hear any noise from within the rooms its loely to sleep in , especially with the air conditioning which keeps you cool.
there is a relaxing atomosphere around the apartments and that great and when you want some action it will be there waiting for you.
Seriously you will not find a better place to be.
The only bad thing is when you have to leave. i have even decided to live in marmaris. but for now im not going to miss a year without going to club turquiose.
Great holiday.

| said: we stayed in club turquise july 04 although the appartments were well maintained and provided entertainment [if you're into pool games all day] we would not return. We are just glad it was'nt our 1st visit to turkey or we may not have returned certainly not to torquise anyway.
We found some of the staff quite rude and as for their so called rule of removing towels from sunbeds within the hour if there was nobody on them they didnt do it when we were there hence we only got to the pool once in a fortnight and that was cause we got up at 830am and got nearly the last two. It was cheaper to go to the beach anyway as the seagull bar was so dear. On our last day {could'nt come quick enough] they tried to bill us for a 'stained' towel which they say came from our appt, how they knew it was ours I dont know,we did'nt pay as they could'nt produce the evidence...And we wer'nt the only ones they tried to bill a couple of girls 40 pounds for stained sheets etc I dont know what the outcome of that was as we were lucky enough to be leaving.
So we did'nt enjoy our stay in Club Turquise and would advise anyone going, to wrap themselves in clingfilm before going to bed at night to ensure they dont get the sheets dirty and to use their own towels..

| said: Sixth year on the trot in this resort and staying at the same apartments (Club Turquoise). Going back next year ? probably.. We did this holiday DIY this year as there was only me and the good lady. Booked our flights through MyTravel, £600 in total for them, and then my own arrangements for the apartments. In all I reckon we saved about £300 which we were happy with.
We had no problems with the flights which were on time both outward and inward. When we got there we were met by Hussain from the apartments outside and the transfer to the apartments only took one hour and fifteen minutes. The transfers had been built into the costs and was £80, money well spent I thought compared to the long journey with stops when you go by coach. Was a bit quiet on the trasfer as Hussain speaks no English at all !!
Got our room which was fine and after a quick kip we were at the poolside soaking up the rays. Weather fantastic as usual. Highest temperature we got was 49 degrees at the pool one day. Several changes to the entertainment staff this year with some of the regulars moving on, for those of you who have been before both Murret and Yilmas are now married and staying in England. Kim the kids rep is still there and working hard but have to say that the two new guys Ozzy and Aircon (yes Aircon ...) are both good and work their socks off to give you a good time. All the regular pool games and cocktail games are played in the searing heat and a great time is had by all.
Was again looking forward to my meals in Turkey, I usually start with a steak, then the next night another steak then another .. you get the drift. 1st night went to Adam & Eve just along the road from the apartments. The boys there gave us our usual welcome back and I see they have again made improvements to the place with the bar being re-positioned. Unfortunately my steak that night didn't come up to the usual standard I expect in this restaurant. It was ok but no more than that. Next night we went to one of our other favourates Uno Momento. The steak ? well it was much the same as the one the previous night. I was begining to think my dream food had come to an end in Turkey The next night we went back to the Garden, another of our favourates. Met 'Carlos' at the entrance and Hussain the manager was soon over offering his hearty welcome back. Well, decided to give it one more go (the steak that is) and this time back in dreamland with and excellent cut of meat with bernaise sauce Didn't just eat steak on the holiday of course probably had about eight during my stay. Other good places we visted were Scott's Bar, this is not long opened and is just up from John Barry's Steak House, it's owned by a lovely Scot's woman called Jan. I also noticed that John Barry's has also changed and is now called John Harry's .... seems they couldn't keep the name. And lastly had a great meal in O'Yes which is part of the Hotel Nergis. We went to the one on the main road heading towards the Blue Bay Hotel, I'm sure they call it Hotel Nergis Select, any way, great meal with good service. To end the food theme had two great hamburgers at the wee fish and chip shop across from where the bungee ball used to be .... Overall two blips meal wise but the rest great.
Bungee ball is gone and just up the road from where it was they have built a new Shopping Mall, very nice indeed I have to say. Just opened although the upstairs part is still being finished. It's got a big sign outside saying Gima, I'm sure that's the name of the supermarket inside but the whole building is known collectively as the Point. It sits on the corner just opposite the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant. For those who remember it's actually built on the site that used to be the swimming pool for the Corner Karacan Hotel, so I don't know what they do now !
Did the lazy day boat trip again. This time it was organised through the regulars to the Garden Restaurant so we were among friends. All you do is get enough names, around 30, and you will get the boat to yourselves. It cost us £12 a head and that was for your meal and all you could drink. A great day out.
Went into Icmeler one night which is a great place too. Intended eating in the Old Famous but it was chockers and we couldn't see a table. Decided to take advice I got from this forum and went to the nearby Love Boat and found that good too. Went back to the Old Famous and had a few drinks. The atmosphere was great and I only wish we could have stayed longer. On a personal note the music while we were there was all from my era and that made it even better. As you would expect couldn't go all that way without tracking down JT and sure enough he was there so introduced ourselves. He seemed sober enough but good to meet him in the flesh so to speak. Next year a full night in the Old Famous will be a must for us.
Costs during the holiday are still reasonable in my opinion. The exchange rate when we were there was 2.57 million to the pound. Most nights were were just under twenty quid for our meal and that was always with a bottle of wine. For those on a tight budget or with kids who are fussy there are still great places to eat at very good prices. For the blokes ... a pint ? ranged from about 2 million to 3.9 million at our poolside bar which are always dearer. That is from just under a pound to about one pound fifty pence. There are still clothes shops a plenty with all the usual haggling going on so girls you will have a ball too. (didn't mean that to sound sexist !! )
Sorry to ramble on and I will close by saying it was another fabulous holiday in a fabulous place. As usual I say to those who have doubts about going ... just go .. I guarantee you will find your own special places and special people.

We were taken to the room only to find out that it was right at the back of the hotel overlooking a small alley way, the next day we were moved to a superb room, with a huge balcony overlooking the pool. The entertainment staff were excellent and the bar staff too. Are booking again for 2005 as we still keep in touch with the workers!! Cannot wait to go back, the apartments are fantastic! and has so much to offer for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

When we arrived it was in the evening and we had staff helped us take our bags up to our room which overlooked the pool and the hills. It was beautiful.
The cleanliness of the hotel was very good it was always clean.
When we ate in the hotel we really enjoyed all the food it’s almost as good as some of the food you get in England. On bbq nights you could help yourselves to what you wanted and again that was lovely food.
The location of the hotel was brilliant it was a taxi ride or a medium walk to the front where all the bars and clubs were which I can say were really fun to visit.
The staff helped you with anything you wanted or needed and always talked to you.
The entertainment was absolutely fantastic there was always something on in the day and in the evenings.
I would definitely visit this hotel again next year as I had a really good holiday.

The staff and entertainment team are truly amazing, it was the people who worked there that made my holiday. These apartments are immaculate. If you are going to Turkey I strongly advise that you visit the guys here at turquoise, they will make your holiday and you will jus keep going back for more, like me. I'm back in september for two weeks.
Apart from all of that the scenery is quality, the mountains are beautiful the beach is beautiful and the people are beautiful.

| said: We had visited Marmaris the year before and stayed at some other apartments which were not very good, i.e. cold showers, room not cleaned very well, bad location.
At the same time donna`s mother was staying at the Club Turquise and we used to go there. From then on that`s what we did as the club turquise was excellent for entertainment, food and pool activities.
As soon as we got back home we booked our holiday straight away for the club turquise. When we got back the following year it was as if we had never been away.
Most of the staff rememmberd us from the last time and it was a fantastic holiday once again. There are lots of things to do and see in the area and the locals are very friendly.
One of the best restaurants that we ate at was the first rainbow which is just round the corner from the turquise. The staff there are really good especially Joseph who looked after us the whole holiday and organised some trips for us.
I would recommend eating here for the food is wonderful.
Would I go again? Did do in 2004 and am going back in 2005.

| said: July 2003 was our fifth visit to these apartments and we are due to return in July 2004. For us they are perfect. Situated on the edge of the Armutalan district means you have about a 10 min walk into the resort centre. They are very clean with great staff, both the entertainment and bar staff will do their best to ensure you have a great holiday. The rooms are of a reasonable size but have basic facilities and all are air conditioned. You can hire a T.V. One of the main features is the excellent pool and sometimes it can be a bit crowded around the poolside but don't let that put you off. There is a small supermarket, hairdressers and jewellers in the complex. Entertainment both through the day and at night is good. There are some very good restaurants nearby but equally the food served in the restaurant is of a very high standard. We love the place and have many friends who work there year after year. It is noticeable that many holidaymakers return year after year and for me that says it all.
