This was our 5th year at the Pearl Beach. We travel independently, booking directly with the hotel. Our booking is always handled professionally, including emails and telephone calls. We always stay Bed and Breakfast so we can make use of the local tavernas, but choose to eat in the hotel at least once during our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, outside the town with local bus costing 70 cents or 4 euros taxi. Staff are all friendly and professional and provide great customer service throughout the hotel. Entertainment is basic and after 5 years a little tedious but is over for 11.30 so doesn' get in the way at all.

A first class hotel in a good spot.Super clean room, towels changed every day.

Wonderful hard workin always a smile for you cleaning ladies who really worked their socks off.

The food is to cover all as most guests were german and french and us of course. During the world cup and they were cheering on more than I was, great crowd to mix with.

Exellent hotel staff, any problem was soon sorted out.

The manager was there every meal time talking to every one.

Good toaster for the Brits, put it through twice.

We stayed at the hotel on a B&B basis and enjoyed the breakfast, which was a hot and cold buffet style. A good choice of continental options - not a fry up in sight which we appreciated.

The hotel has a high level of cleanliness. The showers are a bit on the old and tired side but adequate and our room had a fridge which was greatly appreciated. The TV choices were poor but BBC World was available.

The hotel is located 3kms out of the main town and the walk is a challenge in the August heat but the taxi is 3 euros and there is a bus stop nearby. The staff are fantastic and remembered us from previous stays.

I celebrated my birthday while I was there and was surprised by a fruit basket and wine in our room which was a lovely gesture. We were also given the same as returning guests, along with three free tickets for the sun loungers and umbrella on the beach across the road.

This normally costs 5 euros for the day which is great value as it is possible to spend 12 hours on the beach, as the hotel provide waiter service for food and drink between 9 and 7.

The entertainment was suitable for tourists and a bit bland after the second time but the walks provided by Rolf as guide free of charge are great fun and he is great company.

We hired a car for the 2 weeks and parked it free of charge directly across from the hotel which was great and travelled around the island and found nothing to beat our hotel on quality for its type.

We plan to return again next year and look forward to it.

Great hotel with nice location near the beach. Very friendly staff.

Different entertainment every night of the week: BBQ, folk-dancing, ping-pong-championship for kids and so on.

We stayed in room 414 which, I think, is the same as Craig (and Kim) who have posted here as well!

Great hotel. Not the poshest of hotels but nice all the same. Great value for money! The staff are really friendly. Food was lovely and the location was spot on. Harry the beach boy is a great laugh, say hello to him when you go. Rethymnon is a great resort, lively with lots of things to do, i will go back there for sure.

Fantastic hotel, clean, friendly staff and more. There are 2 areas to the hotel. The main area is more for families and children and is where the large pool is and also where all of the evening entertainment takes place. The other part is a more quiet building about 75 metres from the main pool, tucked away at the side and rear of the hotel. This is where our room was and it was fantastic! Quiet and cool but still overlooking part of the fantastic beach of Rethymnon. This part of the hotel also has a small pool with a pretty waterfall (much quieter than the main pool) The hotel itself sits on the other side of the road to the beach.
