| said: We visited this hotel the summer of 2005, and I'm sorry to say that it was not worth the money we payed. We were supposed to clean up our own dishes, ok fair enough, but there wasn't anything to clean it with. And that really made me wonder how well the dishes had been cleaned after the last visitors had left.
The bed linens were untidy and had spots on them, and so was the towels we got. When we pulled the beds apart, I was so disgusted. I have never seen so much dust in my whole life, and there were also chewing gum on the floor.
The bathroom was too small for three persons to share, and when one of us took a shower, the floor was covered in water.
There were of course some positive aspects of the hotel:
The staff were generally very nice, (if you are a blond girl, just ignore the receptionist who stares).
There was a big pool outside.
The hotel was located in the middle of Rethymnon, and we walked almost everywhere we were going.

| said: We booked this hotel with First Choice Holidays and I think there the only British tour operator that run there, for the money that we paid we were pleasantly surprised. This excellent 4* Air Conditioned hotel is in a prime location in the heart of Rethymnon. It is situated in a quiet side street, around 30M from a large INKA supermarket, 50M from the large beach in rethymno and a 10 min walk to the old town. The Hotel is excellently presented, full marble floors and a Greek statue in reception. Staff in the hotel will do whatever you ask them and are polite and courteous. Lifts and Stairs serve all 5 floors. The hotel has excellent bar,taverna and entertainment is every night 6 days a week. Entertainment is Magician show, Greek night, disco; Music shows all a taste of what’s there. Rooms are large, well furnished and have Air Conditioning (Small Charge), Satellite TV, Music Channels and full kitchette. Most apartments have pool view but the smaller studios have a road view. The hotel is on beautiful grounds, the large and children’s swimming pool is enclosed for safety and a chimney, and now a historic monument is in the ground and is stunning when it is lit up in the nights. The hotel also has Internet access, which is charged at 2E per hour.
Overall this hotel was excellent and has top-notch facilities and staff.
