| said: Although not cheap, this was an ideal base for the family (couples / adults I would recommend staying at the Alton Towers hotel instead). The rooms were wonderfully decorated, and very comfortable.
The food was plenfitul and good - the buffet went down a storm with the kids. All the staff we encountered could not have been more helpful or pleasant!
The Cariba Creek was hugley entertaining for the kids (and us!). We opted to hire towels at £1 each instead of taking the extra luggage, which to us was a great advantage (with 5 people's worth of luggage in a small car, every bit of luggage saving helped!).
The Theme Park itself was great fun, although to get round it all in one day was a struggle - and if we hadn't have had a Priority Pass (so we could queue jump!)we would not have got on all the major rides in one day.
A fabulous weekend for adults and children - well recommended!

| said: Great hotel for families - we stayed one night on a special deal - it was brilliant value for money and would have still felt this way if we'd paid 50% more!
Just next door is Alton Towers theme park and we all had a great time there during the day even though the rides that were open were limited to just a few (closed season Nov-Mar).
The rest of the time was spent in the excellent waterpark on the site of the hotel - it is fantastic for people of all ages, but the kids especially loved it.
The food was good and the choice was varied, if a little expensive (although <4s eat for free). Staff were really attentive and responsive.
In summary, a great hotel for families in particular. You should have no complaints here!

| said: We had a really good time at the hotel cannot fault it at all.
Staff, hotel, water park and theme park all excellent would definitely recommend to anyone. Can not wait to go back.
We had some really noisy people opposite us and I complained they moved us to another room without hesitation.
Anyone that goes there will love it and the scenery is brilliant as well.
The best theme park in the UK.

| said: The splash landings hotel was an excellent place to spend a few days. We went on a special deal with "What's on TV magazine" for a room one night £99 including use of splash landings water park for both days.
The hotel is of excellent quality and standards but still suitable for children where as the Alton Towers hotel next door appears to be more suitable for adults.
The hotels room was a good size and had the free bags for the children which we still use long after our visit.
The meals in the restaurant were of good quality and we opted for the buffet rather than formal sit down meal. You could eat as much as you liked for a set price which was very reasonable. Our son loved the musical lifts especially the Hawaii 50 one.
The gift shop was good and the staff were very friendly with nothing too much bother.
We spent a day in the theme park next door which you have priority on certain rides being a hotel guest but to be honest we wished we'd spent the day or half of it at least in the lagoon water park.
The water park is fantastic with enough to keep everyone busy whether it be riding the many flumes or simply messing in the water and being inventive with the masses of water puzzles, taps, buckets, valves etc.
All in all an excellent time was had and we'd definitely go again maybe for longer next time.

| said: FANTASTIC!!!
especially enjoyed the evening, visited the alton towers hotel for evening entertainment, a lot of fun. Drinks expensive and so we brought our own- worked out best when like us we are young and cant afford the bars high prices.
Everyone was very friendly, especially the staff who were very kind and even joined in when we began our own entertainment with rendenditions of popular karaoke classics - proved to be very fun, although we were a bit tipsy!
i just didnt want to leave
I visited the hotel twice in the space of a month and cant wait to return again!

| said: Have visited this hotel twice now, and loved it both times. It has a "Caribbean" theme which works quite well, and extends to the entertainment as well as the rooms & public areas. Rooms are a reasonable size, with bunks for the kids, and a good size bath/shower area.
meals are buffet type, and the dinner looks expensive, but it is an "eat as much as you like" affair, so it can turn out not so bad.
The attached "water park" is brilliant (I prefer it to the rides!)and is open later taht the park, so you can do both in one day.
