The room was cleaned every day to a high standard but some areas of the hotel were not as clean (courtyard rooms)
The location is not very good if you expect to find bars and entertainment outside the hotel
The staff are good if you tip them but ignore you to look after the German holiday makers
The animation team are nice and try their best (thats all Im going to say about them)
I dont really think its a Platinum standard hotel
We arrived at 10pm to be shown to a room in the courtyard without the seaview room we paid for, we went straight to the reception to complain and were told that there wasnt one available until the next day , we got ours at 1pm the next day and did not unpack till then so we lost a good chunk of the first day of our holiday hanging round waiting for our room
over the week we stayed we were not the only Brits that this happend to (but it never happened to the German visitors) infact some were given seaview rooms when they had not booked them
So my advice is make double sure that if you pay for a seaview its there before you accept your keys
We have stayed in this hotel before and we liked it very much as it was a peaceful and relaxing hotel
MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!!!
A large group of Russians arrived and bulldozed their way through everything (I thought the Brits were supposed to be the loud chavvy tourists???, ...I was wrong) I think the German tourists were miffed the Russians were louder and brasher than them!!
Over the week I and others noticed that Brits seemed to be treated like 2nd class citizens from allocations of rooms and dinner tables to waiter service in the bars and lobby no matter how much we seemed to tip it seemed others had priority over us
When the German holidaymakers said to the staff 'jump' the staff said ' how high?'
I would like to go back to this hotel but only if Brits were treated eaqual to other nationality's and that you got the room you paid for and didnt have to waste a day of your holiday waiting to get it

| said: I travelled on a late deal with my husband in April 2009. We arrived around 8.00pm and met with a refreshing cocktail. Reception were keen we didn't miss our evening meal and we were escorted to the restaurant and given our check in cards to complete over dinner which we thought was very thoughtfull. We were allocated a specific table for evening meal but lunch and breakfast you could choose where to sit.
After then checking in we were shown to our sea view room that we'd upgraded to. The room was on the top floor, very spacious and spotless clean. We found the staff were incredibly friendly towards us. We tipped early on and the staff went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. They would reserve our favourite table for breakfast and lunch and even sprinkled rose petals on our table on a couple of occassions!! Food in the buffest restaurant was excellent, always hot enough and a varied choice. Wine, beer and soft drinks are self service but we found our waiter Karb waited on us hand and foot!! He even booked us an additional night in the Italian restaurant and provided us with a bottle of wine in a chiller by the side of the table (which none of the German/Russian guests were given). In fact we found that British guests were more respected and received better service. Entertainment was a bit naff but it didn't bother us. There was a lovely lounge bar that sometimes had a sax player or just background music which we found ideal. Bar staff in here were very professional and knew how to fix a good cocktail!!
There were 2 pools, a large pool where all the entertainment took place but if you turned left near the beach bar this took you to a smaller, very quiet pool which I don't think many people knew about. We never saw more than a quarter of the loungers occupied, we loved it here and couple of steps took you down to the beach which was practically empty. It was paradise!!
We paid just over £800 for the 2 of us for a week's holiday here and found it excellent value for money. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and we found we had excellent value for money.
We would definately go back to this hotel again.

Plenty of sun loungers and parasols for all. Food very good, something for everyone. Front of house staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble for them. Laundry very cheap and is returned within 48 hrs, sometimes the same day.
Animation team worked hard, especially cristiano and aldinio. Bar staff superb, only downside no drinks after midnight but supermarket nearby and can take it back to hotel and sit on balcony. Fantastic weather for oct late 20's a few days early 30's. Fab. Very lovely people.

| said: Hotel was kept clean, although some of the carpet areas were bald and needed replacing. We had booked a sea view room, but we were on the ground floor overlooking the pool area which was ok but not what we had asked for. As we could not be bothered to move room we stayed put. This was our choice and I am sure the hotel would have moved us if requested. If we had been there for 2 weeks we would have asked for another room. The food was ok, I like spicey food so it was a bit bland for my taste but my other half thought it was great chips with everything. The desserts were the same most nights, all little pastry cakes and ice cream. One night they did a Tunisian night and as I have been to Tunisia before the 'BRIK' was not as I remember it, traditionally it is a crispy pancake with a fried egg inside and the Couscous is generally more spicey with Lamb and veg. The BRIK was filled with like omelette and the other dish had Chicken and veg served separate to the Couscous with a tomato sace to pour over it. This was a dissapointment to me. The location was quite poor nothing to do outside the hotel. The entertainment was not for us so we didn't bother. As we are non smokers, every where in the hotel especially the public areas smoking was permitted apart from the Restaurant which we were glad about. Due to this we spent all our evenings outside as other wise we would have choked on the smoke.

| said: We were very impressed with this hotel, although it could do with a lick of paint and carpet replacement in places. It was spotlessly clean and the staff seemed to be constantly cleaning all areas.
The staff were very friendly and the reception staff couldnt do enough for you.
We booked a normal room but after booking decided we wanted to upgrade to a seaview room. Thompson wanted to charge us to change the booking so we decided to ask at reception on arrival. No problem to change at all, and we were charged £6.00 per night extra which I think was worth it.
The food was well cooked and varied, something for everyone, and the wine wasnt too bad either after a couple of glasses!
Wasnt too impressed at having to choose a sitting to stick with every night as I would have just liked to have gone for dinner when I pleased but I was glad I chose the late sitting 8pm as the families with children seem to go for the early sitting at 6pm.
Not much to do at night at that time of year as was too cold to sit outside but we managed to make our own entertainment - wasnt too keen to see the animation team so didnt bother. The animation start time seem to clash with my mealtimes.
There isnt much to do outside the hotel as its located away from the resort centre but after visiting Hammament town I wouldnt have gone into the town at night without bodyguards.
Overall a very good hotel.

So all we wanted to do was enjoy the sun and relax. The hotel was clean the food was good and the weather was hot, the beach was good and clean and had all the water sports you would need to entertain yourselves.
We made losts of friends and had a fab holiday I would recomend it to those who just want to chill out and get sun and drink, and relax.
The entertainment was poor but if you are lucky you will meet good friends , ps the lights get turned of out side the hotel at 11.45pm which I think is well out of order as this forces you to go to bed, and the bars close shortly after and that is the end of your night, NOT GOOD. And there is a photographer who never stops taking photos and ripping you off but we had plenty of photos to take home ha ha.
Overall out of ten I would score it for a lazy holiday 8 enjoy Elaine.

The Thalassotherapy centre (extra but very reasonable) provided phenomenal relaxation. The hotel is the cleanest I have ever stayed in period. The staff are friendly but respectful. The animation team are all young but very experienced and they work tirelessly and engage with guests of all ages. Went for the tennis and had courts to ourselves the entire week. Great for relaxation.

Hotel is spotlessly clean. We had a double, sea view room which was very spacious with plenty of storage space and a large marble bathroom. Bedrooms cleaned to a high standard daily. Beds changed every other day and clean towels every day.
Pool towels are free and can be changed when needed at hotel reception. Safe in room is also free.
Hotel is only about 3 km away from Hammamet Center and costs 2-3 dinar(80p-£1.20) by taxi. Taxi into Hammamet Yasmine costs 8 dinars(£3.20).
Hotel staff are fantastic and made a lot of effort to get to know their guests and make sure they had a good stay.
Entertainment isn't bad, mostly done by the hotels in house animation team, who are great at their jobs and don't seem to stop all day.
We loved this hotel and would definitely go back

| said: We chose this Hotel for its location on the beach, and its 4 star rating. The Hotel has a magnificent reception area to welcome you on arrival and overall the Hotel is very impressive, sitting on the beautiful white sand beach. Our room did not have a sea view but we hadn't requested one so we were not disapointed by this. The animation team were good at motivating the children to join in the many activities going on around the Hotel during the day. The team worked from 10am to midnight and were always smiling! The Location of Hotel is good as it is on the beach, the town of Hammamet is close by, and taxis are very cheap but you can walk out if you wish,I never felt threated at all. We were not asked to tip and we did not tip until our last day, tipping only the staff we felt were helpful and kind. Most staff fell into this catagory. The bedrooms were kept beautifully clean, and the beds were made by the most skilled maids ever. Each day they would arrange towels and nightwear on the beds in the shape of swans, and other things covered in rose petals. Magic!! The food was great, something for everyone. We loved the fact that most main courses were cooked in front of your eyes. Fresh all inclusive food! The entertainment was the Hotels weak point. The staff were good at dancing / gymnastics however after I think that this could be improved drastically if more outside entertainers were brought in rather than relying on the animation team all the time. We stayed for 2 weeks and I would reccomend this Hotel to anyone looking to relax and be pampered by the sea. Cats did prowl around the hotel outdoor restaurant and some people thought this was unhygenic, I belive that they were brought to keep vermin at bay so I prefer the cats to the rats and mice,!!!

The staff are very friendly and helpful you get same table for dinner every night of your stay with waiter service dinner only the food is ok the pancakes in the afternoon are yummy.
The animation team get people involved in the daytime and evening activities but if you say no they leave you alone. The is a kids club for kids between 4 and 12 but my 8 year old just wanted to play in pool and sea so we didn't use it. this hotel is great for if you want to join in or just relax you can do both.
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay there and would definitely go again.

Was greated by a assistant manager who advised us there was food to eat down in the Resturant. Got down there and all they had was dry bread and butter and dodgy looking salad. Was not impressed. Decided to eat bread and butter as it was so early in the morning.
Overall the hotel was very good. Food was excellent and staying there one week was just right, as i would imagine the food would get quite repetitive after one week.
Staff were not very friendly and never made a effort to talk to us. Maybe it was because we actually look like tunisian's and therefore they thought we we're just visiting from another city or something.
Entertainment was very good and these guys make a extra effort. Having worked almost 16 hours a day they were willing to take us to the local club to continue the night! well impressed.

Check in was no bother all went smoothly, found our room on the 3rd floor, no sea view to the front (we were over reception) but it was possible if you looked over the balcony to your left. Suitcases were brought up to the room within 15 mins.
The room we had during our stay was very large, so was the bathroom. Room was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day. The rest of the complex is of the same high quallity all the staff are friendly.
The food I enjoyed and I'm a fussy eater, all the resteraunt staff could not do enough for you.
Entertainment for me was a bit poor but they worked very hard to please everyone.
In all I would rate this hotel at 95% and thats only because of the location, 1 hour 40 mins from airport.
I would go back again next year.

| said: Our short break at this hotel was all inclusive with a sea view room.
Our first impressions upon arrival at 1 in the morning were good, we were well greeted and the room was nice and clean. However come daylight it was instantly apparent that the view from our room did not include the sea as we looked straight at a building site. A change of room was requested but none was available until our last night as the hotel was full. Not a good start but the rest of the hotel services more than made up for this with excellent service, cleanliness and good food.
However it all went very sour on the last day when upon our late evening departure we were told along with 12 other 'guests' that the All inclusive deal ended upon room check out and hence we were presented with an unexpected bill and the hotel management refused to allow us our luggage until it was paid. Thomson were contacted but were no help at all and we had no choice but to pay up after some very heated discussions with the hotel manager.
As you can imagine we do not recommend staying at this Hotel.

Food was very varied and well cooked, if you had a problem with it simply tell the Chef and ask him for something different.
Location was awful, taxi ride anywhere, Hammamet town was a good 45 min walk away.
We found all the staff very amiable and helpful. Obviously there are always the exceptions, the Chief Reception Clerk, with the thick glasses and pointed teeth was rather short with not only the visitors but with his staff not impressed, Sala and Kamal have been fantastic.
Afraid to say would not visit again due location and also found that sunbeds were in short demand and we had heavy rain three times and you could not get a drink in the main lobby as none of the bars/tea facilities started until 5pm. You had to go out in the puring rain and walk down extremely slippery steps to go to the pool cafe, also there was a problem with bar staff, mainly being only one serving in all the bars and the Pool Cafe

| said: Having heard all sorts of horror stories about Tunisia imagine our delight when arriving at this hotel.
From the moment you step off the coach you are welcomed by smiling faces all of whom will continue to make you feel welcome throughout your holiday.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and would rival any top class hotel (I travel extensively on business staying at chains such as Marriott, Raddisson and Hilton and this would rival those). The rooms were comfortable and for the time you are in them everything you need is provided - and if not just ask. The food is all served on a buffet style and all our party were able to find plenty to eat - in fact even our fussy eater put on weight during the week.
The outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff from the manager himself to the bar and reception staff, however special credit to the 'animation' team who spend their working hours (and there are many!) ensuring you enjoy your vacation. If you want to join in the games you can but no pressure if you just want to relax.
The evening entertainment is certainly not West End but what they lack in professionalism they make up for in enthusiasm. Location wise its not great but the taxis outside the gates will take you to Hammamet for less than £2.
The spa in the hotel is extra - however well worth a visit - a half day with massage, body scrub, seaweed rub, turkish bath and the best jacuzzi ever cost around £45 - great value.
If you are looking for a great value week in the winter sun where you can just chill I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and we would definately return - however if clubbing and a hot nightlife are your thing then you will find this hotel quiet.
All inclusive deal at £7 a day is well worth it even if you dont drink alcohol, soft drinks, tea, coffee and mineral water are on tap all day either help yourself or go to the bar.

The hotel looks impressive, we changed our room for one with a sea view (which we had to pay extra for) and then we had a problem with the air con in our room which took two days to sort out and even then it wasn't great.
Beware of mossie's rife at night.
Being on an all inclusive I found it strange that we had to pay for the bottled water, you can top it up from the poolside self service (soft & hot drinks only). But you were not supplied with water on your arrival.
Overall I didn't much care for the food in the all inclusive buffet, it was pretty much the same thing for the entire holiday most of the meat on offer was very poor cuts and fatty even the chicken. My husband enjoyed the fish and that was pretty much it, but even he had enough of the same thing not much taste to anything we tried.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the paella and that was only served once. The soup on one occasion was OK (it didn't have a film of grease on the surface).
The hotel staff throughout were brilliant very helpful and always smiling.
Our room was cleaned every day.
The bar situation was bizarre from 5pm until 6pm there was nowhere open to get a drink of any kind.
There is not a beach bar, it is based beside the pool overlooking the beach but not on the beach.
The animation team were superb and brilliant with all the children they didn't seem to stop working as the restaurant and bar staff.
Taxi's are right outside the hotel you will never have a problem finding one if you did want to venture out approx 3-5dinar to the Medina. It's about 15-20 minutes away in a cab

The cleanliness of the pool left a lot to be desired as my husband and I ended up with ear infections as did some of the other guests. Not nice especially when you have an upset tummy as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and greeted you off the transfer coach with a smile and a lovely cool non alcoholic drink-mmm.
The room was spacious, clean and tidy, and the maids came in to clean each day, replacing towels and bed linen. The corridors leading to the rooms are dark, but this is normal in Tunisia as shade is a luxury so dont let this put you off if youve read this in other reports!
The food was fine with plenty of variety. You could sit anywhere for breakfast and lunch, but they liked you to sit in the same place at evening meal which was ok I suppose.
The only thing we didnt like was that the evening tables were close together so you had no privacy when talking as the people at the next table were too close, this was a little annoying.
The location of the hotel was on the beach front, but in a residential area. Not much around at night if you ventured outside without catching a taxi.
This didnt bother us though as we were happy to stay hotel based. Tunisia is a cheap country at the moment, and we would definately return to this hotel in the future.

The entertainment staff worked hard to keep everyone who wanted to be involved involved but there was no pressure to join in.The evening entertainment was a little amuturish but ther same staff were expected to work all day.
We would visit the hotel again if the parents who allowed their children to run wild were a little more thoughtful.
I was pushed over by two english lads who ran around the hotel like deamons for two weeks.

The staff were very, very friendly always seeming that they can not do enough for you. The food was excellent with such a choice always available.
Being all inclusive the drinks were very cheap!! Would recommend a glass or 2 of Fig liqueur (not available at the hotel but across the road there is a superb restaurant selling it - who also do excellent seafood) if you fancy an evening out from the hotel.
The entertainment was very good and although we have no children the entertainment team were excellent with the small children, they really love their job..Full marks to you guys.
Anybody looking for a very relaxing or entertaing holiday should look no further than the El Kebir.

First you were given a cool long drink, then told don't worry about filling in forms till the next day, and also they had left the Restaurant open for us!
The hotel staff are the friendliest I have ever encountered, and the manager spoke to me and shook my hand a few times every day of our weeks stay.
I am a foodie and dislike hotel food, I love eating in restaurants so all inclusive was a culture shock so I thought. Well I loved every single buffet meal, the food was always fresh, and being cooked as you waited so nothing was left to long in serving dishes.
Drinks on tap all day was also a fantastic bonus, not having to worry about having money with you, althought we tipped our favorite staff at the end.
There were games around the pool all day if you wanted to join in, Boule, archery, darts, aqua fit! And most night some thing was going on in the ballroom, we just sat in the lovely lobby drinking with new found friends most nights. We felt so at home at El Kebir.
We will definatly go back probably next march, as we came back with great tans even after a week.

| said: A lovely Hotel well run and maintained. Friendly staff who seemed genuinally pleased to have us there. The staff were very kind and friendly to our two children.
Hotel location was poor - there is nothing in the immediate vicinity, although taxis are very cheap.
Entertainment was OK but if fairness the hotel was less that half full and mainly 'older' generation. Therefore there was little demand for games etc during the day and to compound this the weather was unseasonly poor.
Overall - good value for money. Top quality food but a bit tiresome of the continued buffet style. Perhaps one of two evenings of table service would break the week up and give some variety.

The standards of the hotel cleanliness was fantastic and food standards were fabulous.
The entertainment was much enjoyed and appreciated by my sister and I. The entertainment catered for all ages and the evening entertainment was classy and humourous at times. The talent of the entertainers was very evident and at their age commendable.
Our family will be returning to this hotel next year and are already counting down the days till we are there again to appreciate the many facilities the hotel provided.
The staff were all friendly and approachable and were always smiling which was wonderful to see.
We came away from Park El Kebir with many new friends and inspired by the beautiful presentation of the beautiful country that is Tunisia.

The entertainment team are very young and enthusiastic but could do with an older person to guide them through their acts as they tended to do alot of break dancing in the evening shows and mimed to all the songs but during the day they got everybody involved in the games etc.
If you go there you will not need to leave the hotel every thing you could want is catered for and your right on the beach

| said: The Hotel was fantastic. The sea view we paid for was out of this world. The whole hotel was clean and tidy and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff (including the Management) to help you with. The food catered for just about every tast imaginable and could have fed the hotel next door as well there was that much! The hotel was in a fairly quiet location approx 2km outside Hamammet Centre however, taxis were available as soon as you got to the front gate and were extremely cheap. Entertainment was available both during the day and the evening. I would most definitely go back to this hotel, the sooner the better!
