| said: This budget hotel (48GBP per room) looks and feels like something much more expensive. Situated in leafy Huyton-with-Roby, overlooking Bowring Park golf course, near junction 5 of the M62 and Roby station it also has excellent access to Liverpool city centre (5 Miles) 30 minutes from Manchester and Chester, 15 minutes from John Lennon airport.
A modern hotel of the Premier Lodge group but not a "lodge" at all as the Derby Lodge itself is a Victorian mansion built of local red sandstone (the adjacent Natterjacks bar was previously the coach-house) and this accommodation was built with the same stone and style to complement the original building.
Very impressed with this hotel's situation, spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished rooms and enormous bed. Good food and service at a reasonable cost in the Derby Lodge restaurant.
Courteous, efficient staff. Excellent, could not ask for anything more!

| said: Myself and my girlfriend stayed in the derby lodge for three nights and enjoyed it alot, the hotel was a bit of distance from anfield but it made up for that with its great comfort and friendly staff. The interior of the rooms was that of a room which could have been twice the price and the breakfast was very tasty.
There was not alot of entertainment in the nearby area but this is the only fault i could find with my stay at the hotel, and even that is not a fault with the hotel itself.
I would entirely recommend anyone who is travelling to liverpool to at least browse this hotel before making your booking.
I will definatly be returning to this hotel.
Hopefully the weather will be better next time !!!
