| said: Travelled alone with my 14 yr old daughter on a B+B basis. Breakfast continetal style was pretty basic, (very watered down juice!!), but you could have as much as you wanted and did us fine. There is an a la carte menu in the hotel with further options if you wanted.
The restaurant we could not fault and tended to eat there most nights. Staff were superb and seemed to genuinely want to please. We tried a wide variety of dishes and all were lovely. They bring a free starter (Tunisian salad with bread and butter) and often a free sweet of sorbet/ice cream. Menu varies from grilled chicken, pasta, cous cous etc. An average 3 course meal with drinks (soft drink for daughter, beer etc for me) averaged about £8.00 in total for the two of us. Amazing!
The hotel is located a little out from the centre of the old town a street back from the beach and in a street lined with other hotels and some shops. Easy enough to get into town or up to Yasmine. Costs around £1.00 each for a single either way on the Noddy train and we paid less than that for a taxi. Make sure if getting the Noody train to specify a SINGLE trip. They will charge you for a return but you can only use it on the SAME Noddy train back rather than jumping on any of them.
Although I had read that the hotel has its own "private" beach, by mid day it was heaving and there were clearly a lot more people there than the hotel guests.
Staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had our room changed when I asked; chambermaid cleans daily or will leave if asked; and they genuinely seemed concerned that all was going well for us including asking after my daughter one evening she didn't make dinner and preparing me food to take up to her.
Entertainment wasn't really of much interest to us. There is something on most nights of the quiz, belly dancer, snake charmer type plus the ubiquitous bingo.
I had expected the hotel to be quieter and that was my only grouch. We couldn't sleep the first week on one side of the hotel, for the local dogs barking and when they moved us to the other side, had problems then because of the entertainment. Overall there was a bit of a "Butlins" type feel - I guess expected given how cheap it is, but that would put me off going back.

| said: The hotel is ideal for families and couples alike.
We stayed there during Ramadan the Muslim fasting period. Although people in other hotels found it an inconvenience we had no problems, except dinner in the evenings were moved back 1 hour.
The rooms were basic but spotless, the maids cleaned the rooms with enthusiasm everyday.
It is rumoured that the hotel is closing for renovation in the winter to give the rooms an update and with the addition of air con.
It is ideally situated, a short walk from the fantastic beach and a few bars and restaurants and some small shops. However anything else is a short very cheap taxi ride away.
The staff were the best I've encountered in all my time abroad, their English was superb and they were genuinely interested in you enjoying the holiday! I cannot speak highly enough of them.

| said: Hotel was very clean - room was cleaned every day with beds being changed and fresh towels.
The food was excellent, we were there for 2 weeks and only 3 times we went to another restaurant for meals, didn't have to.
The location was good as the night life was only 10 mins in a taxi and the beach was straight across the road.
The staff spoke good English and were very helpful(although if you don't like tomato ketchup on everything tell them so)
Entertainment could be a bit more exciting - bingo every night but there was an acrobat, belly dancer, snake charmer and strong man but they were only ever performing for around 10 mins. With the bar closing also at 1.00am you really had to go looking for the night life but as I said it is only 10 mins away.
We would visit this hotel again.

| said: The hotel room was clean and well furnished with double bed and bathroom. A small sun terrace facing the pool was a pleasant spot for a rest after breakfast or to chill out in the evening.
Hotel staff were pleasant and friendly.
Continental breakfast is basic and self service.
Restuarant food is exellent and not expensive, if special menus are required for diabetic or vegetarian visitors it is no trouble, just ask and the staff will make adjustments for you.
Hotel location is a little way out of town but taxis are frequent and cheap. Beach bar is good in summer months, but closed in winter. The beach is a short walk away but very clean and safe for children.
I would visit again and have stayed here several times in the past 4 years.

Rooms were cleaned every day to the highest of standards.
The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and catered for all tastes there is not a thing I could fault with this hotel.
The location could have been better but that is only my opinion and as it was not peak season it may be different later in the year.

| said: Hotel was small but very clean with cleaners in everyday.
All staff were really friendly.
Swimming pool small and not suitable for young children.
Breakfast was basic bread and jam with tea/coffee although you can also have a cooked breakfast - omelettes really good.
The food in the La a Carte restaurant was excellent especially the pepper fillet steak.
The main bar area/lobby is also used by locals which is nice as you feel less intimidated when you are outside the hotel.
This maybe only a 2star hotel but I feel this may due to the fact there are no tv and tea making factilies in room. If there were it would make possibly a 4 star.
The private beach also has a snack bar and its own jet ski's 30 TD for 10mins.
I feel this hotel is more suited to couples as there isn't much to keep children entertained.

The rooms are small and have no TV.
The location is good with a short walk to the beach.
There is little enterainment in the hotel
apart from a visit from a belly dancer.
The bar fills up with local Tunisian men who smoke like chimneys and fill all the seats. The staff are excellent and helpful.

| said: Have just returned from another really great holiday at this hotel.
Checked out prices before hand and best deal was to book our flight and then hotel direct. Got a really good price for scheduled BA flights Gatwick-Tunis and a very good price for a twin room bed and breakfast for 10 nights.
Taxi from and to hotel was 30TD each way.
Weather was fantastic for the first week, then last 3 days a bit cloudy with a little rain at night.
Hotel as always was excellent. Staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean throughout.
Three course meal available for dinner which we had most nights and it was very good.
Beach and beach bar are good. What more can I say - will hopefully return next year.
Thanks to Bodye and all the staff.

| said: Arrived here on an AOA and had a great time.
Hotel kept very clean and the staff were polite and helpful.
The biggest bonus was the quality of the food, I have stayed in higher rated hotels and none have got near to the quality of food served up here. A pint and a bottle of coke was about 3800d or £1.85, a meal at lunchtime would set you back about £5 for a steak but the seafood pizza I tried was £3 and it was fantastic.
We came here for a quick break without the kids and I would definitely go back although there is nothing for children to do. If taking the children away with you then maybe a different hotel would suit better.

| said: This small (60 room) hotel has a very friendly atmosphere, the staff are always cheerful and extremely helpful. Although it is 3 years since our last holiday here some of the staff still remembered us and greeted us like lost family. The food in the restaurant, Grill, Poolside & Beach bar is always fresh and well presented. We would recommend you try "Chicken Citronniers" & the Scampi is to die for. Money has been well spent since our last visit improving the Beach bar and its facilities, the Pool area where a raised area has been removed. Improvements in safety to the balconies has also been carried out. For a quiet, friendly relaxing holiday in the sun, don't bypass this hotel.

| said: We have just returned from another visit to this gem of a hotel. It may only have 2 stars but the service and cleanliness are better than most 4/5 star hotels I have stayed in. Having been before, I emailed reservations to request a particular room and it was ready for us when we arrived at 10.30pm.
For breakfast there is a choice of bread, toast, cake and croissant with juice, coffee or tea, jam, cheese etc. If you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay for it but its not much. Snacks (sandwiches, burgers. pizza) are served in the bar during the day, on the beach or in the restaurant. The food is very good and very good value. 3 course set dinner (choice of two each course) is 10TD (£5.00)
Rooms are more than adequate (smallish)with a nice balcony but clean and cleaned every day. Clean towels every day. I have read reports recently that mentioned bugs/ants in other hotels rooms, but we were lucky and had no problem apart from the occasional fly. Prices have increased slightly since February's visit but we could see where the money had been spent - ie on improvements around the pool and to the beach snack bar and kitchens. We will be going back in September hopefully.
