	Situated within a pine forest in the tourist settlement of Katoro, 2.5km from the town of Umag, the Aurora hotel offers an extensive range of local facilities and all the ingredients for a fun beach holiday. Football and basketball courts, a riding centre, tennis courts and tennis school, mini-golf, beach volley are just some of the sport activities you can partake in.

rated the Aurora Hotel Sol as follows: Cleanliness Location Staff Food Entertainment	said: The hotel is much more attractive than it looks from the outside. We had a huge, well-furnished room overlooking the pool and sea. Everything looked new. There was plenty of variety of food at breakfast and dinner, with very reasonable prices for drinks. We arrived towards midnight and found a salad meal waiting in our room which was much appreciated. Hotel staff are getting used to English tourists again after the post-war lull and are less confident in English than Italian or German. This is a quiet hotel, better suited to older couples; there wasn't much to do in the first week of the season. There was some evening entertainment, but not well-publicised. The hotel is within a complex, surrounded by woods in which there are many other apartments. In low-season these had no impact on the hotel. The hotel provided free minibus transport into Umag, as the tourist train wasn't running. The walk into town is possible for the very fit, but is a bit of a hike. This was an excellent value holiday.
