We stayed here on all inclusive basis in june.
the hotel had no faults. it had a good interior very modern.
the maids did a good job at keeping the room tidy and they were very friendly, the reception staff were friendly, most of the bar staff were friendly except for a couple.
the food was plentiful and a good variety for all. you could also have snacks and cakes in-between meal times, and of course ice-cream all day.
the facilities were great. lots of pools for my little girl to play in, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, tennis, table tennis, darts and more.
the entertainment could have been better. some nights were better than others. they start off with kids disco and bingo, then they have either a show or quiz or karaoke. dont expect the shows to be profesional because they are not. however they do try hard to make you laugh and kim was a good singer.
the room was big enough. we had a double bed and a single bed and a pull out bed in our room with a travel cot. there isn't much space for your clothes though. the bathroom and shower were all good. there is also tv with bbc1, bbc2, itv1, itv2 and a good movie channel in english.
the only downside is the location. i am glad we went all inclusive because there wasn't many restaurants around the hotel. the beach is not very good either.

we wanted a relaxing holiday and thats what we got. would i return? yes, but only for a week not two.

We stayed at The Atlantica Oasis in Limassol. It was all inclusive and we had no faults whatsoever. Some of the staff in the bar area were friendly but some could be quite rude at times. The swimming pools were fantastic me and my daughter Jasmine did not want to come away from them. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the sauna but it looked great. The food was fantastic with plenty of variety and choice on offer. The entertainment was fantastic as well. We are certainly going back next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at hotel previously in s/c basis nd loved it so decided to go back, the hotel had been rennovated and we were looking forward to seeing it, we were booked after researching as s/c in the atlantica oasis.

Upon getting there we were in awe of the fabulous recepyion but we ended up put in the atlantica garden apartment which are more 3 star than 4, and over the road away from hotel in .we were in annex with no reception at all!

The brochure does not picture or advertise you are possibly going to end up in these, and think the reps had that many complaints they had lost heart too,

Pool area nice for those with kids, and a smaller more quieter pool in main complex.

We stayed in this hotel 2 years ago, before the refurbishment and had a great holiday so decided to return, something we've never done before to any location. We're glad we did.
The few previous reviewers seemed to have visited the hotel during the building work and unfortunately experienced problems. The work has now been completed except for a few rooms which are still being refurbished but the ongoing work didn't cause us any problems and was hardly noticeable.
We had a brilliant time, cleanliness, service, facilities and entertainment were all excellent. Our 6 year old daughter had a fantastic time and cried when we left.
All the entertainments team were lovely and worked very hard to get people involved and provided us with a lot of laughs over the 2 weeks of our holiday, they even came out to the coach and waved us off when we left so many thanks to Kim, Keeley, Lara, Edgenny and Frederick, the entetainment team and also to Kelly and Louise who ran the kidzone club.
The only real downside is the hotel location. There's not much in the way of entertainment nearby but thats not the fault of the hotel, its where it is and thats it. Anyway, we upgraded to all inclusive so there wasn't much point in going elsewhere in the evenings when we've already paid for drinks in the hotel.
Everyone has their own opinions about hotels, the food, entertainment, location etc etc and we did hear a few people moaning about this and that (mostly pretty mundane gripes in our opinion but people like to have something to moan about!!!).
We had a great time and will return as soon as we've saved up enough money!!!

we have stayed in this hotel before this new refurbishment took place.this was an excelent hotel of which we and many of our friends from all over the uk returned to meetup for good time, some repeating up to 15 years. i think i can safely say we have seen the old and the new hotel.
on our arrival at the hotel we absolutely did not say wow to the new part of the hotel, this was new but basic or plain. the room needed recleaning, the sink tap was loose from the sink. the white bath was broken in two places and repaired with brown mastic, we was offered to change rooms but they was no better.
the room service staff was a joke, egsample not empteying rubbish bins for three days/ not turning up some days/leaving towels instead of toilet rolls/ leaving the room door unlocked after cleaning/ do i need to go on.
the room door lock was faulty for eleven days with haveing to go to reception to have the cards reprogramed two or three times a day, this was absolutely great fun getting to your room to find the lock did not work and to return back to reception to reprogram your card or to get a replacement card then back to your room to find this one did not work.
the rest of the hotel was still a building site with lots of noise from building tools and equipment and
dust that was all over the hotel.when the door holes were cut out from the walls of the enterainment centre the hotel then became infesterd with mosquito,i became the proud owner of 21 bites. this work looks set to continue for a loog time.
the only parts of this hotel that was in full operation at the time we left on the 1st december 2007 were the reception/the two outdoor pools/ one bar/one grotty basement room used for entertainment/bingo/welcome meetings/but was also hired out for outside meeting and then there was nothing. the indoor pool was opened for the last few days of our stay but the workmen were still working around the pool and on the glass roof above.
this hotel should not have been opened until all the work was completed.
but to add insult to our holiday on the last day of our stay the hotel held a two day conference for 500 lebanese forces party busness mebmers with vip's and security.
will we return,we and about 30 of our freinds will never return to any hotel in the atlantica group.we
are planning to move to another hotel.

We stayed at the Atlantic Oasis, on an all inclusive basis. we found our hotel room to be very spacious, the carpet was a little bit grubby, but everything else was spotless. The hotel is still going through a refurbishment, and the indoor pool and some other facilities wasnt open, but this wasnt a problem for us. All the pulic areas were spotless. Only problem we had was we wasnt given bath towels one day, we reported this to reception, on return to our room, we had been left hand towels. We had to see the maid the following morning to get some bath towels.

The location of the hotel could be better. The beaches near the hotel arent very good, with very dark sand and very rocky. We visited the Nags Head pub across the road from the hotel a couple of times, they had karaoke on most nights. Couldnt fault the hotel staff.

The food was fantastic, lots of choice every night. Only thing wrong was there wasnt any descriptions of the food, were it was served, it just stated what meat it was, not what the actual dish was eg. what sauce it was in. The menu was on reception, and on entry into the restaurant, so you had to have a good memory!

Wasnt much entertainment on due to the time of year we went, was told the entertainment team had gone home the previous week. we saw a magician while we were there, who was very good, and they had cash bingo and kids disco every night.

I would go back to this hotel again, maybe in the summer months when its finally completed, we went for a relaxing holiday with sun, and thats what we had.

We had booked a self catering apartment and, when we arrived at the Atlantica Oasis, our first impression was how impressive it looked. We were then taken over the road to the apartments which were appalling - the worst accommodation I have ever seen. We didn't even put our bags down and went back to reception where we asked to stay in the hotel. The room we were allocated was very basic (as I believe all of the unrefurbished rooms are). There was no remote control for the TV which had to be switched off at the plug, the radio didn't work, we couldn't use the sink as the plug kept sticking and the hairdryer didn't work but we were so grateful to be away from the apartment block, we put up with it.

The brochure claims that the whole refurbishment was due for completion in July 2007. There is still a long way to go. The reception, pool and restaurant areas are all fantastic - very impressive and the cleanest toilets I have ever come across abroad. The health club, hairdressers, indoor pool etc are still in the process of being built and look a very long way off completion. Luckily, we only went for a week in the sun so it didn't really bother us.

The food was absolutely brilliant, tons of choice and good value for money - nearer five star than four. The wine was well watered down - we never had a hangover though! Majority of the staff were excellent although the kids club was a joke really. All they seemed to want to provide was "killer pool" or "killer darts" and, due to the age group of kids that week being approximately five, they weren't interested.

The entertainment was pretty much non-existent (this probably due to time of year) but there was a majician's show on the Sunday night which was very good.

I would definitely come back to this hotel (if it wasn't in Limassol) but only to lie round the pool for a week to get away from our cold weather.

We booked self-catering & were situated in the Atlantic Gardens across the road from the hotel.
When we arrived the porter took us from the hotel across to the Gardens.

This had its own reception, bar, pool etc.

The Hotel has just re-opened after re-furb & 2 pools not opened but as we didnt use the facilities, it didnt really bother us.

We booked a studio but our room had 2 single beds & bunk beds & was spacious.

We arrived about 11pm on Wed night & the maids even came on the Thurs to clean, as we had only arrived the night before and the room was spotless when we arrived, we told her not to bother.

Cleaners came 6 days out of 7.

Staff were pleasant & friendly.

Cant comment on the pool, food or entertainment etc as we never used these as we spent all week on the beach.

Hotel is sort of in the middle old town & new.
beach is about 5 mins away as was McDonalds.

I would recomment the pub at across the road - Nags Head.

The "All Inclusive" changed as far as the drinks were concerned depending on who served you.

As building work was still in evidence it depended where you were. A lot of time and effort and money had been spent on the reception/main pool area, not so behind the sceens ie stairs corridors & rooms.

The food was excellent. The location of the hotel was poor, if it had been any where other than in Limmosol it would have been better.

The reception staff were poor, but then they were run of their feet with complaints. The restaurent/bar staff were much better.

The entertainment was nothing short of a joke and i would never entertain going to this or any hotel in the group.
That addresses the categories opposite.

We arrived at 3.00 pm on 19th Sept where the reception staff booked us in and gave us our room key. On arriving at our room we found that maids/cleaners were in the process of getting it ready, the maid stated that we had the wrong room and went to find out for us. She came back and asked us to give her some time so that she could get it ready. We left our bags and went to have a look around. 2 hours later we went back to find a plumber in the bathroom with the toilet cistern all over the floor. We were asked to give him time to fix the toilet.

We went to reception to complain where the maintenance manager explained that the job he was doing was a very technical job and would take some time. I explained that I was in the building trade and that the job being carried out should only take about 20 minutes. He than offered to loan me some tools so that I could help out, I declined. We went to the bar for a further hour.

I then went back to the room and found that the plumber had finished but still had to wait while his mess was cleaned up. A grand total of 3.5 hours

Later there was a delivery of a bottle of wine some fruit and a few nibblies. I would rather have had my room when we first arrived.

Over the next 24 hours we discovered that the toilet had not been repaired properly and that the cistern was not fixed to the wall and when you flushed the toilet you had to hold the cistern on the left side or it wobbled and the connecting wire inside the cistern kept comming loose.

The hair dryer did not work and neither did the wash basin plug. These problems were reported to reception on Thursday 20th Sept. Between then and the Sunday 23rd we encountered several builders working in many areas of the complex, we could hear drills, disc cutters and other building tools being used some as early as 7.30 am. We even had builders walking past us with wheel barrows full of rubbleswhile we were sun bathing around the pool.

We decided to see our Thomson rep Leo to arrange a move to one of the other hotels on offer in our package. To cut a long story short we were told that it would cost us £180.00 cp cancellation fee £30.00 admin cost and £45.00 to be moved to another hotel. A long conversation ensued and the compromise was to move us across the road to the Atlantica Gardens, (Definatley not 4*)but a lot quieter.

We then got on with the rest of our holiday.

Our greeting was very welcoming, which I have to be honest I was suprised at as it was past midnight!!!!

We got into our room, it was ok, standard bed TV and ensuite, quite spacious.

The morning is always the best time to have your first impression, I opened the balcony doors, we were on the 6th floor, we had a lovely sea view, to our left we had a lovely view of Mcdonalds, how fantastic, but as shameful as i feel, we visited it twice early hours, after many glasses of wine.

The food in the hotel was faultless, it really was impressive.
In our opinion the big big downfall to this hotel was the brits outdoing each other in the bids for sunbeds. It was embarrasing guys!!!! The first 2 days we ended up in the gardens by the indoor pool as we could not even get one sunbed, the 3rd day I was up by 10am, still no sunbeds, the next day I got up at 7.30am, i managed to get 2 sunbeds, they really were the only 2 left.
I spoke to some other guests and they informed me that guests were putting towels on their beds before going to bed!!!! oh my god,,, get a life.

Entertainment was ok, kept us smiling for the week, room was cleaned every day.

What can I say, it was fantastic my partner and I just wanted to chill out for 2 weeks and that is what we did ( He is still there as I write this with an ear infection cause he couldnt fly ) But arrived at the hotel greeted with a orange juice, the room was ok just the normal bed, bathroom and wardrobe but fine, even though we only had a view at the side of the hotel.

I had to get up at 7.30am in the morning to ensure that I had a sunbed, the english are just as bad as the germans!! The food was ok, I mean we are picky eaters and had some nice food when we did eat there if not try the nags head across the road.. Lovely! Try a pork chop.. OMG!!

The maids changed the towels and bedding quite often and even moved my shoes into a pile.. Bless. The entertainers did the activities in the day so there is aerobics, volleyball stuff for the kids too.

I would recommend this hotel, loved being there, Made some good friends ( They know who they are ) Just wish I was there now in the red hot weather.

We visited the Atlantica Hotel for the first time this year and it will certainly not be the last. Hotel facilities and cleanliness were first class. Staff worked very hard especially the cleaning staff. One of the highlights of our holiday had to be the excellent entertainment provided by the five hard working team who only amateurs, provided very professional shows.Well done to all.

We have just returned from holiday.

It was the best 3 star hotel we have stayed in. The cleanliness was superb.

The maids were always cleaning which gives you piece of mind. The hotel food was really good always hot with lots of variety both morning and night. We stayed for meals all week as it was that good.

The location was central and only a short walk away to the sea front so we found everything pretty easy to find. The staff were all really pleasant and couldnt do enough for you also were all very polite.

We didnt stay for the entertainment so couldnt really comment on that but everyone we seen were having fun.

We booked a Thomson pricebreaker and ended up in the Atlantica, this wouldn't have been my 1st choice however had a really great holiday,

Food was brilliant, buffet style, lovely restaurant and a good choice of all sorts of food.

Maids worked really hard keeping rooms clean, ours was done by mid day every day (except Sunday).

Entertainment was really good, the 3 entertainers worked really hard from 10am till about 11pm, loads of energy and really good with the kids.

Pool area was lovely, plenty of space to relax and pool was especially good for kids as had a nice big shallow area.

Would definately return to Atlantica in the future, it's not the Ritz but its clean and after a holiday is what you make it - definately no complaints and great value for money!

We stayed bed and breakfast for a week and being honest a week was not long enough.

We originally were planning to hit the clubs most nights but our plans soon changed when we went to the hotel shows which our 3 reps. Jackie, Isobella and Adam put on they were really talented and funny.

We missed 2 shows out of the week due to us being late back from dinner (the restaurants on the main strip are really good) but we went to, motown sisters, The magic show, Songs from the musicals, Name that tune (which I even joined in on) and we caught the last bit of saturday night fever which we wanted to see but ran a bit late getting back from dinner.

Anyway the reps. were lovely, After the Name that tune night we stayed behind for a bit for a few drinks and had a chat with some of the Reps. they work so hard all day long and still had the energy to sit and have a gab with us which I honestly thought was really nice of them Adam is lovely funny guy, as are jackie and isobella they have got the time for anyone.

We found a few nice restaurants on the strip the main one we went back to because the food was so nice and the staff was Toscana resonable prices and lovely food, as for night life as I said we didnt manage to hit any of the clubs and main bars really but we did go to the pub just over the road to the right of our hotel the nags head that pub has lovely staff the prices for a drink are cheap £1.50 (bout £2.00 in english money) for a vodka and coke we paid way more everywhere else for them bout 1.50 alone for the coke anywhere else.

OH and faulty towers is another good place for food we had dinner there some days we had yummy toasties and again great staff fab prices.

As for cleanliness me and my cousin aren't exactly the most tidiest people like most other young girls we tried our best but the cleaners were exellent they done there usual rounds and even cleaned any dishes that were in the sink (we werent really bad we did clean up after ourselves loads but the odd occasion they were left the maids done them which was so nice)and the hotel in general was clean.

I would definitely consider going back infact I am looking into going back to Limassol for a month sometime in the near future for a career break and would definitely consider the Atlantica.

Arrived at about 6 at night with a drink of orange juice.

We quickly booked in and had to wait 10 minutes whilst we followed the porter to our rooms.

We had two room between 5 of us was expecting each room to be a studio for 3 but each room had 4 beds in and a kitchen. My kids all went in one room with oldest one 14 who was classed as an adult anyway and we were right next door.

The rooms were very spacious with plenty of room for clothes. The only problam we had was my youngest daughter was sick in their room and the maids never cleaned it properly so we had her in our room for the rest of the week to keep an eye on her.

We were bed and breakfast first time it was ok but what I paid before hand wasnt worth it as my son didnt like the food very much and my youngest hardly ate plus we found a couple of places we could of had cheap breakfast out.

The entertainment was brilliant we thought Adam was brilliant with the kids he did everything with them he even had me and my husband joining in with things, dont usually like the bingo but we played because it was good money and we did win twice.

Drinks a bit expensive in the hotel but so was everywhere else.

The hotel itself was lovely with a fab pool but too cold to use.

We had 3 cold days then the sun came out I came back with a lovely tan no complaints about this hotel would use again.

We booked the Pricebreakers West Cyprus thinking we would have a great holiday again, knowing what the other Pricebreakers were like as we have been on several of these deals before through Portland.

The booking we made was for an allocation on arrival hotel (4T) Pricebreaker to one of the following:

Louis Phaethon Beach 4*, Thomson (4T)
Iberostar Ledra Beach 4*Thomson (4T)
Rui Cypria Bay 4* Thomson (4T)
Atlantica hotel.3* Thomson (4T) Atlantica has a 3*plaque on its entrance.

We have previously stayed at the Louis Phaethon and have friends who have stayed at other Hotels in the Pricebreaker deal. On speaking to our friends on our return to UK the Atlantica quality did not match any of the other three we were very disappointed to say we did not enjoy our stay at all.

We wonder as to the reliability of Thomson rating system, if Thomson were giving a 3*Hotel such as the Atlantica a 4T rating to match others in the deal.

The Hotel Reps had difficulty in handling any questions as they had only been in the hotel for a week.

The only time I was taken notice of was when I asked about the trip to the KEO brewery, only because I was misheard and the rep thought I wanted to go to Cairo (this would have made is sales total for the week look good).

Problems we encountered were as follows:

1. The Sauna at Atlantica you were allowed one visit per stay for 30 minutes.
2. We used the Gym once and caught a vurus, which caused a rash on our arms.
3. The instructions for using the equipment were outdated which if used could cause asphyxia
4. The pool was through the bar in an annex in the Atlantica and was very cold.
5. Free pool towels were available on each visit to the heated pool at the Phaethon. This was a hidden "extra" cost at the Atlantica
6. Refrigerator in room was another"extra"
7. The Restaurant was closed between meals at the Atlantica. We had a problem with the time restrictions on eating at night at the Atlantica, we were allocated second sitting which we were expected to adhere to, if we did that we missed the nightly video show.
8. Bathroom accessories e.g. shampoo lotions etc were free at the Phaethon these apart from soap were not available at the Atlantica
9. There was no real entertainment at Atlantica.
10. The three Paphos hotel have beach access (There is no access to the beach from the Atlantica as it is 100 yards across a main road to a pile of rocks)
11. There is not obviously a sea view either
12. The Main Limassol to Larnaca road runs close to the Hotel making it very noisy, at 04:00 on Saturday 4th February it was like a racetrack.
13. There is building work being completed next to the Hotel, which started at 07: 00 daily.
14. In the room where we stayed the Patio door has no lock.
15. The maid service was always after 15:30 making it impossible to rest until after your room was serviced
16. The bar drinks were very watered down, which in this Country would be illegal

The quality of the Hotel and service provided does not compare to the other hotels. The Atlantica states it is only a 3 star hotel, which it scarcely passes for. The hotel looks VERY tired, the staff are going through the motions and seem to not have the usual Thomson efficiency

We were very disappointed in this holiday as we have come to expect more from Thomson, and all because of the above misalignment between the quality of the Atlantica and the other three hotels we expected to go to.

Whilst I except that everyone is entitled to their own opinion in my view all the other reports must have been seen through rose coloured glasses & also they can’t have stayed at any of the other all inclusive hotels in Paphos!!!

This was booked as allocated on arrival with a choice of 4 hotels 3 in Paphos & 1 in Limassol. We have previously stayed at the Iberostra Ledra Beach one of the other hotels on the list & to say that the Atlantica didn’t match up to it would be an under statement.

You have to pay extra even on all inclusive for tea & coffee facilities in the room also for the refrigerator which even then is not stocked with anything it is only for personal use, there are no bathroom accessories e.g shower gel or shampoo etc pool towels have to be paid extra for as well. The hotel is very tired looking nothing like any of the others that were advertised.

Unfortunately the 2 reps in the hotel had both only been there for 1 week & had no back up staff to help out when things got difficult, they looked like fish out of water!!!

The entertainment was non existent unless you like bingo & ballroom dancing.

The only plus to the holiday is that the food was very good!! nice & hot & plenty to choose from, this is one deal that I will NOT be doing again with Thomson (allocated on arrival) as it was said to us that everyone gets sent to this hotel as it's the one they cannot fill. If you are lucky enough to be sent to the ones in Paphos then I would expect it just so Thompson can say that they have sent some there!!! The plaque out side the Atlantica says 3*** but all the others are definitely 4**** hotels

All I can say is be careful when booking this as an allocated on arrival as I think you might be disappointed especially if like us you have been to any of the others ones in the offer.

We stayed in the hotel from 18th Jan - 1st Feb 2006 on an all inclusive package.

The hotel was clean and the room was pretty standard, it cost an extra £29.50 cyprus pounds for a safe key and to use the fridge, the safe was ok but the fridge a rip off. The patio door wouldn,t lock and I complained to the rep who had it attended to. However it only lasted one day and was unlockable again. I told the rep again but on this occassion no action was taken. Fortunately we were on the third floor so felt pretty safe.

The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was cleaned and beds made up every day, clean towels were provided without having to ask.

The food was plentiful and tasty with a good choice. The meals are divided into two sittings and we were 2nd sitting, on the first saturday they ran short of everything including roast meats and potatoes, I complained to the duty manager who did nothing to resolve the matter, he did however give us a free bottle of wine. After that the resturant never (to my knowledge) ran short again.

The entertainment was reasonable with local singers and musicians in the main bar and bingo and caberet in the other bar with dance lessons and themed nights. It was amazing how everyone had to be so quiet when bingo was on but didn't show the same curtesey to the entertainers! There are plenty of bars and supermarkets/giftshops within easy access to the hotel.

This hotel gives an excellent impression when you walk through the door all the communal areas are well maintained and impressive. Unfortunately the rooms do not follow this through. Our room was old and tired.Wardrobe door was hanging off, patio door would lock chipped, sink in the bathroom half size bath which did not drain. We were given a SC room even though we booked half board which was handy for the fridge but no cooking/eating utensils were present.

The food in the restaurant was great, plentiful and tasty though the themed evenings were a little annoying, they had all roasts on one day all Chinese another night Cypriot on another etc therefore as we do not like Indian food we had to look elsewhere on that evening.

Indoor pool was badly situated as you had to walk through the main bar to reach it, was no where near gym and sauna and it had two tiny cubicles to change in

Staff were great

We booked a pricebreaker for west Cyprus 4 star and thought we would go to Paphos. We were aware of that this hotel was in Limassol was a possibility, however and it seemed everyone got this hotel. We only paid £296 AI so good value however, this hotel is a 4T by Thomson and 3star official.

The hotel was clean and the staff very good but the hotel was old and not up to the usual Thomson standard, would not have been happy paying full brochure price.

The food was awful, same all the time, stody and cold, worse we have ever had.

Pool was good but hotel location was no good at all, middle of nowhere. Give this hotel a miss unless really cheap.

We have just returned from this resort, we stayed in apartments on a bed and breakfast basis. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of fresh orange and escorted to our room, the porter delivered our luggage later.

The room were spacious but they had a few light bulbs not working, we reported this straight away, and all but one got replaced.

The hotel offered us an upgrade to all inclusive for CYP13 per person per day, so before we decided what would be the best value for money, we decided to check out the local bars for their food prices.
On doing this we discovered that the all inclusive was extremely good value for money, so we book the full week.

Breakfast
The breakfast was buffet style but plenty of variety, I enjoyed my breakfast every day.

Lunch
Served in the main dining room, again buffet style, but plenty of variety.

Mid afternoon snack
This was served by the pool and offered a menu of choice.

Evening dinner
Again served in the main dining room, plenty of variety, at all meals you could have your choice of drinks, a choose red wine, which came served in a carafe.

Bar Service
The bar maid was rushed off her feet, and found it difficult to cope, but we always managed to get served, cocktails before the evening meal and Irish coffee after.

Mountain Bikes
The all inclusive package allowed you unlimited use of mountain bikes.
One day we had a coach trip so we booked a packed lunch, it was probably the best packed lunch i have ever received from a hotel.

Entertainment
Poor

That’s enough about that
Overall the hotel was very clean, the food was enjoyable and a good variety, the staff were very friendly, and the all inclusive package was very good value for money; if we had to visit his resort again I would not hesitate to stop at this hotel.

Hotel very nice, big and relaxing, food exellent every night something different.

Pool layout great for my 6 yr old only 0.6m deep nearly all round, good entertainment at the poolside during the day, but the entertainment at nighttime is shocking 1 goodshow all week, a magician show the rest made up from the staff which is dreadfull even with a good drink in you.

Some of the staff where quite rude sometimes, asked why so rude say they are overworked.

This is probably the fifth or sixth time to this hotel or though only the second time that we have come in the summer season.

The hotel is great and the staff have alot of time for everyone. The hotel was fully booked and even thou ther was understandably queues for things like to get drinks you didnt mind waitin as you would often get talking to people and make friends.

The cleanliness was top notch and the cleaning staff very very friendly.
The entertainment was once again top notch and singing and dancing ability got many people involved and have a good time.

We arrived at the hotel in the small hours of the morning, to be greeted by pleasant staff and cold fruit juice.

We were pleased with our room, spacious, clean and modern, although not too keen on being on the fifth floor with a curious 4 year old. Our room looked out over the pool and gardens.

The breakfast buffet varied from day to day, with plenty of choice, hot and cold, with plenty of fresh fruit and fruit juices. The evening buffet catered for everyone, with local specialities, vegetarian meals and a childrens buffet. Our daughter enjoyed trying the different meals on offer instead of asking for her favourite pasta everyday.
The Dining Room staff were friendly and welcoming, and accommodated our requests. We enjoyed trying the different local wines, but the hotel was waiting for a delivery and one evening we chose wines they did not have in stock. As a gesture of goodwill to make up for our disappointment, we were given a complimentary bottle of our favourite wine. One evening all the children were treated to a fruit juice cocktail!

Our daughter is particularly fond of pancakes, these only appeared on the menu once during our two week stay. The friendly Sous Chef, Panikos, was often in the Dining Room talking to guests. We took the opportunity to ask him if pancakes would be on the menu again, he very kindly offered to make some especially for her the next evening! I am pleased to say he kept the promise and she enjoyed her pancakes!!! We found out that we could exchange a lunch for dinner and eat out in the evening, which we did once.

The Housekeeping team were very visible, keeping both bedrooms and public areas clean and neat. We used the pool (usually after a day out), and the childrens playground in the Atlantica Gardens.

Outside the Hotel, what a surprise! We enjoy exploring when on holiday, and do not spend much leisure time in the hotel. Limassol as far as we could see, consisted of the main road, hotels and apartment blocks, bars, cafes, hire car and tourist shops. No beach to speak of. Too tourist orientated.

We explored Cyprus by using buses and a hire car. The bus stops are on the main road close to the hotel. The Number 30 bus takes you to the Old Harbour and Old Town of Limassol, for £1.50 return each, money well spent!

If you want a nice sandy beach, we can highly recommend the Governers Beach. There is a daily return bus from the main road near Mcdonalds. The beach has black sand, the sea warm and calm, and is an oasis of peace and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of Limassol. The bus driver gives a commentary, and a complimentary cold drink awaits passengers in the hotel bar, very welcome. Ladys Mile Beach was very pleasant, if you ignore the neighbouring docks! Large white and grey pebbles on the beach.

The best resort we visited for a sandy beach was Larnaca, which has quite an attractive seafront and promenade, compared to Limassol.

The Fassouri Waterpark was sensational! Our holiday was in September, we did not have to queue for the rides/slides. The lifeguards gave good advice on which ones to try and how to ride them. Our four year old loves water and enjoyed a selection of the tube rides accompanied by one of us in a double tube!

Inland, we visited the Troodos Mountains twice, cooler, still touristy!

The archaeological sites were value for money too, typically 75c to £1.50. My favourite was Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, on the road to Paphos. Petra Tou Romiou, Aphrodites' birthplace beach was beautiful, white rocks, pebble beach and beautiful warm blue sea. Apparently a stunning location at sunset.

We would choose to stay in the hotel again if it was not located in Limassol!!!! It provided an excellent base to explore the island, but we were not keen on Limassol itself.

Visited this hotel on an allocation on arrival (late deal). Glad we only paid what we did for holiday, would have been unhappy paying brochure price.

Food good but often only warm, make sure you go into restaurant at beginning of set meal times (7.00 am and 8.15 pm), it was often warmer that way, although never hot. At breakfast time, make sure you use the orange juice machine next to the coffee machine and not the children's one, it is much nicer.

Food at the pool bar was okay but often took a great deal of time to arrive. Waiters often lost orders and you would wait over 45 minutes for a pizza.

Hotel entertainment was very poor. Although wouldnt want to be involved during the day, hardly ever saw them around the pool. Evening entertainment was worse, kids disco, bingo and then show starting at around 10.00 pm for 45 mins. Only decent shows were from entertainers bought in (two shows in ten days) and these were magician and singer. Shows provided by entertainment team, cheap and poor.

There were some difficulties with the bingo in that the entertainment team said all money taken in was given out in prize money. Unfortunately the takings were counted backstage and did not appear to tally with the takings and, without alleging anything, I spoke with the entertainment team and, lo and behold, the prize money for that night rose by a substantial amount without any noticeable increase in guest numbers. Take from that what you wish.

Pool area was good, however the road noise from main road is very noticeable if you sit at certain parts of the pool. Guests have the opportunity of using the pool at the Atlantica Gardens complex which is a short walk away (5 mins). This pool, although not as large, is quieter if you just want to relax and beds were always available. There were some problems with the parasols at the Atlantica Gardens in that several were missing the metal pins that hold up the canopy and, although this was reported, it was not rectified. Maybe future holidaymakers should pack some six inch nails in their luggage!!

All inclusive was valid at the pool bar at the Atlantica Gardens and you could also get breakfast over there, but we never tried it.

Hotel staff, although most were efficient, they hardly ever seemed happy in their work.

Rooms were adequate, although lighting in our room was poor. Please note that if you are on an all inclusive basis, you have to pay for the use of the fridge. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room either, these were also available at an extra cost. No toiletries provided in bathrooms, only soap!

There were some difficulties with guests smoking in clearly marked non-smoking areas of the hotel and staff did not appear to enforce this and would hand out ashtrays willy nilly. Although this was reported to the hotel, this was another matter that was not rectified.

Thomson allocate this hotel 4T but definitely not up to that standard.

Would recomend going all inclusive as the food is excellent with a good choice of different foods to cater for everyone .

Brilliant choice of food around the pool aswell, pizzas are fab. cater well for children.

Staff are excellent cant do enough for you. Rooms are spotless and maid service is every day with towels changed every other.

Big outdoor pool which is very clean with good activities for children and adults.

Evening entertainment is centred around the kids to about 9.45 (which I found was great)then they do bingo till about 10.15 with more adult themed entertainment till 12.00 or their is a singer in the bar most nights if you prefere.

Hotel location is a bit out of way but taxis are cheep if you want to go into town which is quite big with lots of named shops but hotel is that good did not feel the need to go out looking for something to do!

Waterpark is a must fantastic day out even though its not that big. brill for young children aswell as there is a lot of big slides they can go if they want to .Order a packed lunch to go as they are quite good.

Would recommend this hotel as we had a fab time and would come back again.

All inclusive worth every penny, as resort itself very expensive. Hotel very clean pool excellent.

Good rooms maid service excellent. very friendly staff. food is great , pizza express pool bar, loads of choice, very good all inclusive menu. Be warned cats everywhere when your outdoor eating.

Hotel location not what we expected at side of very busy road. No nice walks and surroundings no golden sands ,only rocks and black sand.

Hotel staff very friendly. daily entertainment round pool excellent, boat races , aerobics.waterpolo, keeps you entertained all day.

The evening entertainment is a big let down should be outdoor. Small stage what is part of dinning room, very boring no atmosphere. Stage entertainment naff most of the time. Although the hotel is nice and excellent food.

I would not go back to this hotel as it lacks outdoor entertainment, and the surroundings are poor.

This was the third time we have been to this hotel and it just keeps getting better.

We booked a junior suite this time and it was huge.It had it's own kitchen area, kingsize bed and my son slept in a double bed. There were pool towels, slippers, bath robes and toiletries.

In our room on arrival we had a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. When the management realised we had been before we got 2 more baskets of fruit and lots of bottles of wine left every other day. Each night we would return to sweets on our pillows and our sons bed remade after his siesta.

The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. The chef comes around every night with other members of his team to chat and ask if everything was ok.

The food is brilliant, nice to have pancakes and waffles cooked infront of you in the morning.Around the pool the snacks are varied. You get a choice of chicken kebab, kebab, burgers and hotdogs on there daily grill and another menu to choose from also pizza express which are lovely.

The maids are great and do a fantastic job and the hotel is spotless. The daytime entertainment is good especially it's a knockout good laugh. The shows at night get really full, needs more seating and more staff at the bar because service is quite slow.Stopped more in the cool bar as service was a bit quicker.

This hotel is brilliant and definately needs to be upped a star.I would only say 1 thing against it - the resort is pretty boring after a walk up the street you have seen it, and it is quite away from the heart of Limassol.

Check in was speedy. We were given the option to have our cases brought to our rooms & rather foolishly declined! Each 'block' of the hotel has only one very small (Max capacity 4 )lift. The lift to our block broke down twice during the week we were there.

Rooms are spacious. Air conditioning is very good.Rooms are cleaned every day & towels are changed every other day altough you are asked to reuse towels for the sake of the environment. Great idea.

We requested quiet adjoining rooms. We got adjoining rooms overlooking the pool area. The duty manager was very helpful on the occasions that I complained about other guests making a racket by the pool at 2 in the morning. If these were quiet rooms I am glad that we weren't in 'noisy' ones! Light sleepers beware.

The public areas of the hotel are fine although the bar area was a bit of a mess in the evenings. Too few staff.

The pool area was kept very clean and tidy. Pool was delightful although a little crowded. Reserving sun beds at the crack of dawn is discouraged but still happens. Some daft people do leave towels on a sunbeds all day without using them. Very selfish!

Food was buffet style at breakfast, lunch & dinner and was fine. During the day, pizzas , burgers, salads etc. can be ordered from the bar area by the pool.

If the hotel were in an alternative location I would think about visiting again but the location lets the hotel down.

The hotel was very clean, towels were changed every other day. The food was great, the chef came round your tables at night to see if everything was ok. Oonly one problem was that the bar service was very slow and some nighs you never got your drinks, not the staffs fault they worked really hard just not enough of them.

You had to go down to the pool about 8am to get a sun bed in a good spot and stay with your towels until the pool had been cleaned or they could clear them away (no joke). Met loads of nice people from all over the UK.

We would visit the hotel again.

We stayed in the Atlantica Gardens, just the other side to the main hotel.

Accommodation was very spacious as we had two rooms joined by a door so we had privacy as well as our two boys. 1st impressions were excellent overall on apartment and hotel complex.

Rooms kept very clean by maid and towel change every other day. Welcome pack on arrival for self catering which is a good idea after the long travelling to get here. A price comes with this 4.95 CYP, which to be fair was water (large), bread, milk, cereal, jams, coffee and Tea so not too bad.

Atlantica gardens was a peaceful side to the complex, so we used the main complex with the larger pool. Met lots of friendly people for all areas of the UK.

Loads of sun beds, but still had to get there by 08.00 to get one! Before 08.00 and the staff will remove them and they really do remove them. We still managed to scrounge some after we slept in late. (Around midday)

Entertainment little poor for size of the hotel. caters for about 900 and there were 800 in the 2 weeks we were there mid july to begin of August.

But thats why we go Self Catering so we can go out, but still not alot outside of the hotel. Loads of Kareoke' bars, still quite amusing.

Never been to Limassol before thought that resort was quiet boring but the Atlantica Hotel was excellent.

Great air conditioning in rooms and bar.

Very well organised in restaurant and great atmosphere.

Excellent indoor and outdoor pools and very well cleaned.

Kids club with First Choice was excellent. Best have been on so far. Thought entertainment at night was quiet boring for adults but excellent for kids and at the end of the day if you have kids this is the hotel for you.

Just been home for a week and am booking for this hotel for October, and also for next year.

Me and my family (partner and two daughters aged 12 and 9) stayed at the Atlantica hotel in Limmasol Cyprus. The hotel was immaculate throughout and the staff could not do enough for you.

The entertainment day and night were fantastic for families who got everyone involved even the shy ones like my daughter.

The food was well presented and had a wide selection of various food the teatime carverys were amazing as was the little chef who served us (he was very funny).

The location was central for restaurants, pubs, clubs etc and there was a small beach across the road but wasn't very clean. You have got to visit the fissouri water park (we went twice in 2wks that good) great day out for the family local bus takes you straight there and very cheap.

Lots of games and fun to do round the main pool and fun in the sun 24 hours. As a party of six we went out down the streets for dinner but we tried the barbecue one night and it was really good lots to eat and lots of decisions had to be made about what you ate.

Good breakfasts down the street form the Nags Head but kareoke on every night. Only one disappointment was the hotel bar shut at 12 midnight but the Nags Head will give you 24 bottles of keo 30cp.

Had a great time and will definitley go back.

We stayed at the Atlantica on our recent visit to Cyprus, we were actually out there to get married, and the staff were just amazing. Really quick check in with a nice ice cold drink, which was very welcoming, realising two minutes into the hotel that I had left my wedding dress on the bus!!!! The staff did everything they could to get my back safely to me the very next morning.

We booked self catering but upgraded to all inclusive on the 2nd day after sampling how excellent the food was, buffet style with the chef and his staff always checking that everything was ok, if you wanted something that wasn't on the menu, he would try his best to get it for you, totally fantastic!

Made to feel so welcome by everyone in the hotel from the manager to the cleaner.

Rooms cleaned and new towels every second day but if you needed extra towels that was no problem to them.

We received a lovely bottle of wine and a big basket of fruit on the morning of our wedding, and the night of the wedding stayed in the honeymoon suits (complements of my parents) where there was a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us.

All in all the best holiday ever for me and all my family and friends that came out to with us for the wedding. 20 altogether and 16 stayed in the same hotel as us, the other 4 wishing they had!!!

After having read all the reports on this hotel we were expecting something amazing. The apartment was average size with poor cooking facilities. Our two teenagers had to sleep on a fold out bed with sheets that didn't fit and itchy blankets. Maid service was excellent though - couldn't fault them on that.

The reception area was lovely and contained 2 computers with internet access, sofas for relaxing on - great for when the sun got too much. However, the pool wasn't that fantastic as other visitors had described and wasn't even that interesting - one waterfall.

The sun area was packed by early morning and there was no point in going to the gardens as people's towels were on the sunbeds by 7.30am. We usually found a spot though - after much searching. There was a cafe with a pizza parlour which served excellent food, snacks and ices. There was a film on every evening and some entertainment but things like 'Mr & Mrs' and 'Marvin the Magician' didn't quite appeal to us. I could go to Butlins for that!

The hotel is situated in a side street which was quiet. There are 2 small supermarkets opposite and a fantastic pub called 'Nags Head'. This was a life saver. Pretty good food, execellent sunday lunch, pool table for the teenagers, comfy sofas and constant showings of Only Fools and Horses. Great for a lazy relaxing read.

Also a spot of Karoake at night, some were awful but mostly pretty good. Wouldn't go back as I believe the world is too big a place to visit the same place twice unless it was paradise, and this wasn't that I'm afraid.

When we arrived at the Atlantica Hotel, we were greeted at reception with a complimentary-ice cold drink, just what you need after the hour long transfer from the airport, excellent.

The room was great, 3rd floor which overlooked the pool, (if you didnt mind looking at the roof of the restaurant). There was plenty of room for the 4 of us in there, one complaint(well not really a complaint, just a moan) is that there wasnt enough storage for our clothes. The maid service was fantastic, the room was cleaned every day.Ive never stayed in a hotel as well cleaned as this one. In fact all the staff were amazing, especially Panikos, one of the waitors in the restaurant. If you were lucky enough to get table number 69, Panikos would having you laughing all night.

We booked with our friends (2 adults, 2 kids)and they stayed self catering, but by the 3rd day we had all upgraded to All-inclusive. The food was excellent but by the end of the 2nd week began to get a little bored with it. The food was excellent and very well presented, and the chef came to greet the diners most nights. If you fancied something that wasnt on the menu that night, the chef happily scurried off to the kitchen to see if he had the ingredients for your request, and I think he loved the challenge to be honest.

The entertainment during the day for kids and adults was great......and believe it or not the entertainment staff actually left you alone if you didnt want to get involved with the frivolities in the pool, with your kids. The pool room and the indoor pool were the most used by my kids though as the weather in June was too hot for them. The entertainment on a night?......not for me really, but the kids joined enjoyed it.

On an evening we would relax around the pool drinking the local brews we got with the all-inclusive. This bar shuts a 11pm so onward and upward to the next bar. Unfortunatley on the second week there they shut the pool bar. Their reasonings were varied for this, from being short staffed to the computer-till not functioning (strange how it worked during the day...........). This is our only complaint as it was a great place to chill out on an evening instead of the entertainment room which was loud and hot.

The bars were good but as the hotel got fuller the bars got busier. Luckily enough in one bar, the 'Cool bar' as I liked to call it as the air-conditioning in there was fantastic after a hard days sunbathing round the pool, there was a waitress service to save you queueing. Get half way down a drink, order another with the waitress and by the time you finished your drink the waitress would return with a new one. Got it down to a fine art by the 2nd week.

The location of the hotel was at the quiet end of Limasol, maybe too quiet for my liking but it was just a bus ride away to all the activity.

All in all, no major complaints, it is an excellent hotel and I will be definatley be booking again in a couple of years though.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week half board basis. We had a fantastic time. The pool was great, plenty of room for everyone, although we did go in termtime so wasn't so busy.

The kids club was good as well, our little ones were only four & three and the leaders were very good with them.

The breakfast food was brilliant, but we did eat out a couple of nights as we didn't fancy the menu and didn't seem alot of choice for the kids. During the day, the poolside bar offered great value snacks ie pizza, hot dogs and there were a few shops across the road to get crisps and drinks if you wanted something different.

The whole hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. There was an ironing room next to the gym and also a beauty room. Three of us had a back and shoulder massage and it was very good.

The entertainment was good. We had family bingo and won loads of toys, but had to leave some there.

The rooms were clean and spacious and we had a fridge which was handy for cold drinks and chocolate!

We definately recommend this to anyone going to Limassol.

I have just recently returned from my holiday in the Atlantica hotel, and I have to say, it was superb.

The food was amazing, the staff were very welcoming and the hotel itself was just gorgeous!

I can’t get over the size of the pool, it was great!

The rooms were so clean and tidy, and very homey, you could settle in straight away.

My only complaint would be to say that there were no kids clubs for my siblings, and the food in the shop was over priced.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and plan to get my family to go back to this hotel next year.

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for a wonderful stay and can't wait to see you next year.

Thanks again....Aimee Castles Greene

My wife and I have just returned from the Atlantica hotel today (sun 16.01.05).

And can report that this hotel is about the best 3 star that we have ever stayed in, it really should be at least a 4 star bordering a 5 star. The cleanliness was superb, food allways hot and large choice on buffet at breakfast and evening dinner ( even had bread & butter pudding & custard 1 night and real creamy rice pudding another night) both were superb and the chef was always wandering in and out of the buffet area checking all was ok every night and he was very approachable.

The staff were always friendly and carried out there duties with a smile (this means a lot when you need something).

Overall an excellent hotel that really has almost everything that you require to make your break a good one.

This is the second time that we have stayed in this hotel (last time may 04)and it will not be the last. Good holidays regards Garry & bernadette Scott.

We went to this hotel for New Year and had a great time, the entertainment was very good so we stayed in the hotel most nights.
There was a good choice of food and it was all well cooked.

The hotel is very clean and the maid who cleaned our room was very efficient.
We had one problem when we were there the balcony door could be forced open and they didn't fix it until I had been to reception three times, but it was during a change of staff at reception, they were very apologetic and did a very good job when they did fix it.

If you do go to this hotel ask for a pool view becuse we didn't and ended up with a view of the car park.
The position of the hotel is ok its about 200 yds up a side road off the main sea front but its well lit and the pub across the road the Nags Head serves great food all day and is open late.

Overall it is a great hotel with good entertainment and in a nice resort.

Would recommend to everyone from 6 to 60.
Overall it is a great hotel.

We went there on 16th October 2004 for my daughter's birthday. We had a great time - lovely hotel, good weather and good foods also good staff, very helpful.

Then my daughter’s birthday on Tuesday. We had a surprise as the hotel left a basket of fruit and two small bottle of wines at our bedroom for my daughter's special day which was very nice of the hotel!!

We cannot see any faults, of course, lots of cats there but it didn't bother us.

Only things was beach that was a bit far away but I find it was too hot for our children so we stayed at hotel mostly times because everything was there.

We are coming back next year again in October as we couldn't get school holiday booking as it was full up so we are coming back one week earlier in October. Can't wait!!

Hotel
When to this hotel for 1 week at the beginning of October 2004. Our party consisted a 4 adults (55/52/34/31), 1 child (5) and an infant (15M). The flight and transfer from Paphos went very smoothly and took only 50 minutes.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were all invited to book in, whilst enjoying a cold glass of fresh orange. When the smooth booking was completed, they put our room number on our bags and showed us to our room, with the bags following shortly behind.

What a surprise when had, when entering the rooms - we had only booked 2 studios, to sleep 2A's and 1C respectfully. Our room had FOUR singles beds and the cot; the other had 2 single beds and a single come double sofa bed. Each had a separate bathroom and table/chairs to eat at (never used!) and balcony looking over the pool. The view was almost the same as the shot in most of the brochures/websites.

That night we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant (all boards were available including all inclusive). They had a deal on, where if you purchased your evening meal for the week, you got your breakfast free. After sampling the evening meal, a 5 come 6 course banquette, we were smitten.

The hotel and its staff work very hard to make sure you have a good time and don’t have to do anything - they do this VERY WELL.

Overall

We will DEFINATELY be back, as the kids really enjoyed themselves - in fact there is too much to tell you about. Just go and enjoy your time there!

First impressions when you pull up at the Hotel are not great. However, when you walk through the door that all changes.

The reception is very impressive and the staff are all very welcoming. We were taken to our room by a member of staff and our cases were brought up by a porter.

*Accomodation*

We were in a one bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised to find a double bed in one room and two proper single beds in the other (not the sofa beds we expected)The rooms had patio doors onto 2 balconies which both had great views over the pool area. The room was very clean and the maid service excellent with the rooms being tended to every day and towels changed every other day. The only slight let down was the fact that there was only air conditioning in the bedroom.

*Food*

We originally booked on a Bed and Breakfast basis but after 3 days we decided to upgrade to all inclusive as we were so impressed by the hotel.

The rate offered by the hotel was significantly better that that by our travel agent before the trip and saved us about 40%!

The food is plentiful, of very good quality and there is something available all day so you need to have your post holiday diet planned!

Another bonus of all inclusive is that if you go out for the day you can order a packed lunch. I challenge you to eat it all!

*Entertainment*

There was a daily timetable of events that took place around the hotel to cater for most tastes and then there was entertainment every evening in the ball room. The entertaiment seems to rotate on a 2 weekly basis with magic shows, Cyprus Night, Cabaret all included. There is also a childrens disco earlier in the evening for the younger ones and cash bingo for those who fancy a "flutter".

*Pool*

The large, free form pool is excellent with waterfalls and bridges. It has a good range of depths to suit all swimmers. The most impressive thing about the pool is the cleanliness. Every morning at 6.30am an army of cleaners descend on the area and it is all hosed down brushed clean.

There is an indoor pool but this seems to suffer due to the popularity of the outdoor pool and is somewhat "tattier" and is very cold.

*Staff*

The staff are all very helpful and dealt with any requests promptly and efficiently.
