| said: the hotel is a great complex very clean and quite up to date.when myself and family stayed we were entertained by cloud 9 entertainments and it was fantastic great bands and solo artist all week.
the food was a big let down it was very bland and the dining area was over crowded and not enough staff to clear and set tables so i found that we were often eating on a unclean table not nice atall.the bar was quite expensive and always ques again they could do with more staff.plenty to do for the kids (pool, tennis, football, ping pong ect)
would defo go back if they changed the menu and took
on more staff.

| said: The cleanliness of the hotel couldn’t be faulted.
Rooms cleaned and towels changed daily as for the hotel food we have stayed at many three star hotels before, and never had food as bad as what they served here. All the meat was full of fat and grizzle. The soup to be honest I cant find the words to describe it, it was terrible plus the fact we had to queue outside the restaurant for over twenty minutes, before we could enter. Then we had to stand inside waiting for a table.
Hotel location great if you don’t mind walking a bit. Hotel staff friendly entertainment in day was ok, but the night time was terrible. Ended early and pathetic.
We would not go to this hotel again.

| said: We have just returned back from the hotel Puente Real in Torremolinos and we did not want to come home!
I travelled with my husband and my 2 children aged 6 and 9. The kids loved this hotel as there was the mini club that kept them out of trouble for the most of the day.
The main disadvantage of this hotel is that there is not always a life guard by the pool which isn’t great when there are lots of young children running about. There aren’t a lot of sun beds so if you want a sun bed you have to be up at 6am to take your towel down by the pool to ensure you will get a bed.
Overall, we had a great holiday and the main thing is that the kids loved it so much, we have booked to go again next year.

| said: If you have money to waste do not go there give it to charity. There are birds everywhere thus they leave droppings everywhere.
Not enough beds, not enough parasols, no such thing as a white towel, you would get a better shower if you stood in the rain. The apartment we stayed in was at the back by the tennis courts they had bird nests over head so dead birds and hatched eggs would fall out drawing ants in their hundreds so if you like wildlife it is the place to be.
All in all completely substandard. The above list is only the tip of the iceberg. They should be withdrawn!
Since our return I have written a four page letter to Budget waited four months for a reply [no satisfaction].
Do yourself a favour stay well clear!! You have been warned!

| said: The food was great, lots of choice both lunch and evening meal. No queues even at the restaurant bar.
The location of hotel is right on beach and very quiet but ideally located for taxi into Fuengerola, Benalmadena, etc
As we only stayed for 3 nights the entertainment apart from world cup being on, was ok
Left my family at home for weekend but the daytime entertainment seemed great for families/kids

| said: We read these reviews just after we had booked our holiday together and we could have cried as so many of them were so bad.
Although we would just like to say that as of 2006 this hotel is not at all diabolical or disgusting but actually a pleasant place to visit.
We had booked all inclusive and was very worried with people complaining about the food although it was actually very nice and the puddings are fantastic.
The pool bar food is of a good standard and the staff are always very helpful and can speak not only fluent in English but also Spanish,German, French,Polish and many more.
This was probably are only complaint that bingo took a good hour to play with every number being called in every language.
The hotel rooms are of a very good standard and are cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed linen which we were very pleased with.
We didn't fly till late at night and we were out of our rooms for midday although we were given a courtesy room to have a shower in mid afternoon before leaving again very excellent and no trouble to the staff. The pool is fantastic but a little cold and there are plenty of sunbeds.
The hotel entertainment runs throughout the day with excellent members of staff with plenty of things for children. The location is great if you are happy to walk to the centre of the resort about 30-40minutes away, although there are bars and shops closer along the way and a excellent bus and taxi service.
The beach is very close across the road and is often quieter than the main resort end which is what we liked. Overall a very very pleasant stay at the Puente Real and would definately return, we are almost certain this has been rennovated to the standard it is today!

| said: After reading the comments about this hotel before I travelled, I was thinking of cancelling. Me and my husband took our chances and went.
First impressions of the hotel were very good. Very clean. Receptionist very helpful. Rooms reminded me of a travel lodge, basic but had everything in you would need. Rooms were cleaned daily.
Pool area was very nice, but the pool was very, very cold so no-one really went in it. Entertainment and music around the pool throughout the day.
Hotel food was very nice, choice of 2 fish and 2 meat dishes for dinner along with salads and pasta and cakes / ice cream for desert.
Of a night me and my husband went to Shenanigans and Molloys Irish bars, which were both good for entertainment - act on every night (even showing british soaps!!)
The location of the hotel is good if you want a quiet holiday or if you are beach lovers as it is right across from the beach.
Overall, I found the hotel very nice and not at all like the comments which other people have wrote. You have to remember it is a 3* hotel! and I would recommend it.

| said: Good standard 3 star hotel.
Rooms well furnished and cleaned daily. Good bathroom/shower with easiest opening shower gel sachets I have ever found!
Pleasant swimming pool and terrace areas. Ample chairs and sunbeds but no mattresses.
Restaurant very busy but offers reasonable buffet selection of salads and fruit, if a little repetitive. Usually 4 main meat & fish courses but a vegetarian would struggle.
"All inclusive" basis is probably the best option as few bars & entertainment in this edge of town location. Free drinks finish at 11.00 p.m. and for some reason re only available at outside pool bar.

| said: We had originally booked and specifically requested somewhere geared for families. It was our first family holiday, and we wanted the kids to have a memorable one.
The rooms were shabby and worn, our fridge didn't work, and wasn't replaced for the week we were there.
The food at the poolside "snack bar" was disgusting, although sometimes hunger is a great sauce! The bar staff were rude and had very little to no English, even for simple things like asking for ice at the bar!
The pool was a good side, and it was lovely the way the palm trees shaded part of it. However the kids club was not translated into English very much, and the children in our party felt isolated by this.
The entertainment was very poor, and we were particularly disappointed by this because we were quite a distance from everything and we thought, ah well we will stay here and have a few drinks and let the kids enjoy the entertainment.

| said: This hotel was very nice. Staff were friendly, rooms were very spacious especially the bathroom. The food was great always hot and cooked in front of you lots to choose from.
The snack bar was around the pool. You could have pizza's, freshly cooked cheeseburgers, sausages, chips salad etc. The only downfall was there were not snacks after 6 pm at night and also the bar for all inclusive drinks stopped at 11pm.
The pool area was great with a walk in pool both for adults and kiddies.
Would certainly visit again.

| said: The hotel looked very nice when we pulled up in the coach, what a wrong impression that was! We stayed there for two weeks and in that time the rooms (we had two) were only cleaned three times. One of those times was only after I went to the rep three days on the trot to complain about the lack of cleaning, it was in fact 6 yes 6 days between the cleaners visiting, when asked when they would be cleaning the rooms they just shrugged and told me to report to reception.
Bed linen was only changed once after we had been there a week.
The food was awful in the hotel we only ate there once and the pool bar was also disgusting, the burgers looked raw.
The pool was however kept clean and had a lifeguard, the pool area was also very clean, it is a shame that the rooms were not of the same standard. The location of the hotel could not have been any better, right on the beachfront and not in the middle of everything, however the entertainment was not very good or varied We shall not be staying there again.

| said: We stayed in the apartment complex of the hotel. Party of 25 in 6 one bedroom apartments. Arrived at 11am rooms would not be ready until 1pm...We sat in the midday heat with babies and small children until 4.30pm.
When we eventually got our rooms I could have cried with disappointment. They were smelly, dirty (after being cleaned) far too small, furniture shabby, well worn and badly in need of a lick of paint. Three families asked to be moved, my family wanted the next flight out of Spain.
When the Budget rep arrived she came to see the rooms and agreed they weren’t't the best! She had us moved the next day to slightly better ones. (Same complex) toilet wouldn’t't flush in one, fridge out of action in another and the door didn’t't lock in ours... Enough about the rooms.
The pool area was really nice though and the entertainers did their best to keep the kids happy.
We didn’t't eat in the hotel much but when we did I found it ok, buffet style with a large selection to choose from, but I did hear a lot of people complaining about it.
As this was our home for two weeks we decided to make the most of it, but would I return? Not on your Nelly...

| said: DON'T GO - although it was a couple of years since we went it was truly our worst holiday ever!
The rooms were filthy, crawling with ants and the pool area stank! The grass 'like' lawns they have were all brown and mouldy and I believe this was the cause of the smell outside the apartments
Staff were VERY unhelpful and took us over 2 hours to check in as the rooms hadn't yet been cleaned - although to be honest I don't think they ever were and this was checking in at 5pm in the evening, you don't expect when choosing a later flight to have to wait around for your room as previous holiday goers have to vacate the room by 10am - surely that's plenty time enough for changeover!
It's ideally located but just not nice - if you are looking for somewhere cheap to put your head down and don't mind bathing with ants and other peoples hair then stay here!
