Just returned from our first visit to Goa, Majorda Beach was recommended to us and it was very good. Rooms are quite large and very clean and the overall service was excellent if a bit slow at times (but this is Goa so what's the rush?)

Hotel is in a prime location right on a magnificent beach that has to be seen to be believed. Beach Shacks were very quiet but very good (it was near the end of the season) and superb restaurant right outside hotel gates (Pentagon).

Pool area fantastic and hotel food good but a little expensive (double the price of the shacks).

Only downside was ground floor rooms near to restaurant quite noisy both early morning and late night, managed to change to 3rd floor rooms after a week.

The hotel has a definite Portugese feel about it. Lovely tiled floor in the reception area and marble stairs throughout the main building.

The hotel offers suites and chalets referred to as cottages. Our cottage was extremely large.

The breakfasts are self service but magnificent. So many things to choose from. There are several places to eat. The hotel has its own beach shack called Sea Shells and lovely pool side restaurant (where you also have your breakfast). There is an indoor air conditioned restaurant called the Laguna and a coffe shop. The restaurant has a good selection of Indian and Continental dishes.

The Hotel Staff were all very friendly and efficient. We cannot praise them enough.

I would most certainly visit this hotel again.
