| said: What can I say? This is a fantastic hotel - clean, friendly staff and wonderful food! I stayed there with my 4-year-old and was apprehensive about being on my own with him, but the staff made everything so easy! Special mention to Victor, who is the sweetest concierge/doorman in the Med!
I loved this hotel - even the maid went out of her way to look after us. My son loved the pools and we also made use of the hotel bus service into Valletta, which was great. The only downside was being at the top of a hill - although this was also a plus as we were insulated from the noise of St. Julians!
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat - if I could afford it! The minibar is expensive, so if you can venture into town to get water etc. I would recommend you do so! If I was to stay again I would go all inclusive - worth the expense when you realise just how much extra fluid you consume on a hot day. You should try the bistro in the hotel during your stay - the club sandwich is to die for!
Definitely a 5 star resort - in every respect.

The view from our balcony was spectacular.
The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and polite.
We ate in the hotel several times in the evenings and the food and service was excellent. The prices were comparable to restaurants in the main town.
The only minor criticism was the price of the soft drinks from the pool bars. It was cheaper to drink alcohol!

| said: This hotel is ok for a couple but not in my view for anyone with kids or teens.
We booked this hotel because we have two teens and they liked the look of the slides and lido pools and the private beach but when we got there this was all closed and fenced off.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are nice and polite ,we only had breakfast twice as none of it was warm enough for us, the entertainment is ok if you like the piano but it is very very expensive to buy drinks in any of the bars, and forget the mini bar in the room unless you are loaded. the views are lovely and the room could not be cleaner, in my view a nice hotel for older couples without kids.
Malta was a lovely place and you cannot find fault with the locals, some of the nicest people I have ever met, nice places to eat and drink and if you like a bit of live music head for the hard rock cafe.
Malta is a great place and wellworth a visit.

I honestly can't say enough good things about the hotel. Everything was truly 5*. The hotel started out in the best possible way by upgrading us to a Junior Suite as we were getting married, with fresh fruit and wine ready for us in the room.
All the staff were friendly and took the effort to get to know your name, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Everyone from the ladies who clean you rooms to the hotel managers really cared that you had a good time at their hotel.
They took a lot of time and trouble to ensure the "big day" went perfectly. Even down to having "Everton Blue" icing on our wedding cake.
The only downside is that I have to save up to go back - otherwise I would be on that plane tomorrow.

| said: Hotel was really clean and tidy, and well maintained. The staff were most helpful and friendly.
Built right on the coast there were fantastic sea views, but it also meant to get into town (Paceville) there was a steep climb up from the hotel and then a steep slope down to the town. Of course you had the same climbs on the way back.
Only had one main meal in hotel and it could not be faulted, and I was surprised at the price. Not really much difference with other restaurants visited. As we were out most evenings we cannot comment on the entertainment, but it did seem to be just a pianist.
The beach was rocky but there were two good pools to compensate.
As others have mentioned, don't touch the mini bar, the prices are exorbitant and you do get charged even if you just move them to put something in it.

| said: The Hotel is a true 5 Star establishment, which is both good and bad.
The accommodation, service, food, pools & views were of the highest standard. Unfortunately the prices were of the highest value too - at least as high as the most expensive I have encountered in the UK, which is extortionate considering almost everywhere else it is 30% cheaper.
I recommend taking the free Hotel Courtesy Bus to Sliema and buy a 6 pack of 2 litre bottles of water for about £1.80 to save paying £2.00 for a 500ml bottle at the pool or £3.00 in your room!!
Beware the mini bar & snack tray in your room, prices are obscene and they are electronically monitored so if you even move anything it is added to your hotel bill within minutes with no course of appeal - a nightmare if you have kids in the room, plus there is no room to put anything else in that you have bought elsewhere.
The food is excellent, for breakfast there is just about anything you want hot or cold including champagne. I recommend the Bistro for an evening meal, the Fillet steak is excellent as are the starters and sweets. All are beautifully presented and the prices are the most reasonable in the Hotel, al-fresco dining on the balcony is available if you book early. The main restaurant is less appealing with its set menus mainly revolving around rabbit.
The adjacent Corinthia Hotels both have Publicly available themed restaurants & bars (American Diner, Italian & French-ish) that are much more reasonably priced for food & drink. To go anywhere else requires good legs (30 minute walk up & down steep slopes to St Julians) or Transport.
The Hotel is situated right on the St Georges Point and has fantastic views of the Sea and entrances to Sliema Harbour and the more distant Valetta Harbour so you see a multitude of marine craft about. This also means that you are miles from anywhere.
Having been to Malta over 12 times in the last 20 or so years, mostly in the Qawra & St Pauls Bay area. The Hotel was by far the best we have stayed in and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there, marred only by the daily influx of 30+ Language Students that swarmed around and took over the sea side pool for about 2 hours and who were unable to do anything but shout at each other and see who could be the most disruptive to any poor soul unfortunate to be poolside - so be warned!
For a relaxing time, pampering yourself I highly recommend it as long as you have deep pockets.

| said: The Radisson was a top 5 star hotel. Food was fantastic. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Rooms spotless with fantastic sea view. The mini bar was very convenient but was quite expensive if you compared it to supermarket prices but that would depend on whether you could be bothered to walk to it. It cost 5.50 lira which is around £9.00 for 2 vodka and cokes from the hotel bar. The Kon Tiki resturant was being refurbished so we didn't get to dine there but the Bistro did lovely food. The weather for the first 4 days was very sunny but rained on 2 of the evenings which is pretty good for the time of year. I have rated the entertainment as 1 because there wasn't any. I take it this is because we went out of season. The indoor heated pool was very nice and all areas very clean and tidy. The only negative about this hotel was that at 5pm when all the locals had finished work and at the weekend they gym got very busy as did the pool. I would recommend you go between 12 and 1pm when you will find you have it all to yourself. My last word on this review would be that if you have any money left at the end of your holiday then be sure to tip the cleaning lady. She worked very hard day and night and was a very pleasent lady.

| said: Radisson SAS Baypoint Hotel, Malta.
The hotel was very clean, the buffet breakfast was excellent, the staff were very friendly.
The entertainment we did not participate in for two reasons,(1) everything bar the 24 hour bistro closed at 12.45 and
(2) the hotel was so expensive - 2 sandwiches and 2 beers at the lido bar during the day worked out at 25 euro. A small bottle of water and a draught pepsi at the swimming pool was 7 euro.
The most we were ever charged for similar items anywhere else in Malta or Gozo was less than 3 euro so we felt we were being fleeced as there were no shops or supermarkets in the near vacinity.
For a 5 star hotel little things niggled - the handle broke off one of the cups in our bedroom (it did not fit the saucer) on the first day. We still had the broken cup 12 days later, it was washed in our bathroom sink and replaced on the tray every day. The day we arrived we had towels, facecloths, and a bath mat. The face cloth and bathmat were never replaced after the first day, but the worst thing I have ever encountered in any hotel was the time share touts camped out in the ground floor lobby (you had to pass them to come or go from the pool and also to go for breakfast).

| said: I have been to Malta previously, that was about 10yrs ago, not much has changed but this hotel was not built then.
The rooms were very clean, hotel staff very friendly and the breakfasts were excellent. In evenings, we always ate out so we did not partake in evening meals.
The only thing wrong was one day we had high winds and because the hotel is right by the sea the tide came in and flooded the gym and swimming pool.
All in all it was a very nice stay.

| said: Hello
we stayed a few days at Radisoon in September 2002.
First they wanted to give us a room with no view that smelled of smoke, but then after telling them that I was allergic to smoke (l lied but I do hate it when people have smoked int he same room as wher ei am supposed to sleep) they suddenly found us a room with partcial view over the ocean.
The receptionists where very friednly,t he room was great, very big.
The breakfast was oh so good, we where on halfboard and we did NOT like the food or the entertainment. And halfboard is just a waiste of money, there are restaurants close to the hotel.
They have s shuttle which drives you into Valetta and Sliema and they demanded money for this.
My tip walk to the next Hotel, Corinthia Hotel Gorg and use their shuttle, it is for free.
They have three pools outside and one inside, they where very very nice.
The towels.. well they where small, very small and you could only have one. One got a towel card on check in and one could exchange that every day for a small towel. If one did not have the card on departure one would have to pay 5 Lira (what a joke)
We really enjoyed ourselfs, we slept very well and I would recomend this hotel.
Regards,
Linda

| said: A truely five star hotel. Compliments must be paid to the staff especially the Kon Tikki Restaurant. The food is first classs - the carvery is tremendous and the service is spot-on. Mountains of smoked salmon and seafoods, with a very good veggie choice
The public rooms are excellent and very stylish and the whole place is immaculate. The shop is a bit of a non-starter with a very limited stock (no emery boards or hair conditioner!)
The only disappointment was the room, which we found a bit tatty and the beds were of the chipboard platform kind with a very firm mattress. The furniture was of the brown veneer type and quite badly chipped. The doors on the cupboards were very noisy and the sound transfered so when people were getting up or ready to go out in the evening, all you could here were the sounds of these doors banging.
However the balcony was huge, although the furniture was of the cheap white plastic type and we had to beg for a table. We were on the ground floor, so we were almost on the rocks, and you could sit up in bed and watch the boats sailing by. The entertainment was very varied, including a very good modern jazz quartet, although the pianists in the bar and restaurant were from another planet musically!

| said: Sadly no longer 5 Star. Cutbacks have been made so the Bridge Bar is no longer open during the day which is a pity as the Bar staff there are wonderful. It took us 3 attempts to get a blocked drain cleared in our bathroom, this was only after asking Management to visit our room to smell for themselves. The maids had an interesting way of waking you to clean the rooms by hoovering outside your door at 8am, the sheets didin't fit the beds and the towels I would use for rags at home. Management seemed to feel that drilling holes in our adjoining wall logical at 9am without informing us. We had a young baby in one of our adjoining rooms which screamed incessantly from 6am onwards with the parents shouting above it to each other. I heard other holiday makers request to have the pool cleaned as it took on a very unpleasant murky colour during our stay and the bottom of the pool was very slippery.
In general front house staff are very friendly & helpful, the food is generally good if not repetative, rooms are of a good size with good views and you won't get an upset stomach from the water.
We stayed there last year and were dismayed by the lowered standards and cut-backs.
Tip: Book this hotel directly through Radisson and you will pay practically half price as rooms are booked per room per night for up to 3 people

| said: This is a true 5* hotel with excellent facilities. The ala-carte restaurant is superb (recommend the fillet of beef for 2 and the pancakes). The pool is of a good size with a swim up bar. In the 2 weeks we were there, we didn't have any troubles getting a sunbed.
The bedroom was huge with a lovely seaview. It also has a minibar, complimentary towelling robes (no you can't keep them) and a pay per view English movie channel.
The negatives:
The hotel has good conference facilities so there are a lot of conferences going on, these can sometimes be a bit disruptive.
Prices for drinks are extortionate at the hotel, £1.50 for a small glass of lemonade, have ten of those a day and it soon adds up.
Malta is not cheap, our 2 course meal with wine came to about £40. Taxis to the nearest town costs £9 return.
The hotel was excellent but expensive.
