This hotel was the worst we have stayed in, a huge dissapointment. We were offered a lower floor room to start with which stank of damp we rejected this and were placed on a higher floor. The new room was clean and had been refurbished - however it was right above the airconditioning units and so we couldn't use the balcony without being deafened.
We had to stay in this room as the hotel was full for an Ironman competition.
The charge for beach towels is a disgrace and we bought our own sun loungers for $10 each from CVS rather than spend that per day for the hotels.
The hotel was not really clean and the staff were quite sniffy - really hated the place if this is the best Hilton can do they can keep it and we will stick to Holiday Inn half the price but twice as nice!
No evening entertainment - nothing for kids to do all round a huge let down - would not stay here again for free. And the drinks were way overpriced!

Having read the other reviews on this hotel we were looking forward to visting.

Unfortuntely we were unlucky enough to be put in a room awaiting refurbishment we were told this was due to all the refurbished rooms being used for a conference. The room was old very worn and dirty nearer 2* standard than 4*. We moved out after 1 day.

I would strongly advise anyone intending to travel to this hotel to make contact prior to arriving to make sure that you will be given a refurbished room otherwise you will be dissapointed.

The hotel it's self is on a world class beach and has plenty of activities for kids

My family and I loved this hotel.

The position of it is right on the Gulf Coast.

We stayed on the 6th floor which we were told was just renovated. We had fantastic views across the Gulf, including Pier 60 and to the left, we had views across the bay.

There were 2 pool and a spa. The spa was extremely hot and both pools were heated (just like a warm bath)! There were only railings separating the pool area from the beach. We ate at the poolside bar.

The food was good but we found the drinks to be expensive.
We took out the Beach Club Membership which was $15 per room per day. This included free rental of beach towels, 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach, discount in the restaurant and many more things. We had the buffet breakfast in the restaurant every morning which cost $12.95 per adult and with paying adults, children eat free! The food was lovely. We would request a window table which had fantastic views of the beach/sea. There didn't seem much of a choice for evening dinner but we eat out anyway.

The hotel was extremely clean, staff were very friendly and the position of the hotel was 1st class - my family and I will definitely return.

The only fault that I could possible find was that there was no family entertainment. The children were not allowed in the bar unless they were 21 yrs old. We stayed over New Year and unless we put our kids in the Hotel club at $50 per child on New Years Eve, there was nothing for us to do.

Got back a couple of weeks ago. Cannot fault this hotel for location, right on the Gulf of Mexico.

Our room was on floor 7 and had just been refurbished. We had a balcony overlooking the marina/Gulf, 2 double beds, satellite TV, fridge etc. Floor 6 was being refurbished while we were there but there was minimal noise and this was restricted to "office hours".

There are 2 pools plus a jacuzzi, poolside bar with live music at lunchtimes on the weekend, free pool towels, access straight onto the beach if required.

We only had minimal contact with the staff but the ones we encountered were friendly and courteous.

The food at the pool bar was very good, we didn't use the restaurant as we preferred to try the local eateries instead.

This is the second time we have stayed here and I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel had a wonderful position on the beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

There were two large outdoor pools and a spa with plenty of sun loungers and chairs. The whole area was spotless and the snack bar served tasty snacks and drinks.

The rooms were very clean with internet access and games available at an extra charge. The small balcony looked over the beach but the noise from the air conditioning unit made it uncomfortable to sit out for too long. The main problem was the bathroom; it was clean but very small.

There was not entertainment in the hotel at the time we visited. But I think it is offered at high season.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
