Just got back from our week stay a the bellagio,it was my 30th birthday present.

On check in my husband did the 20 dollar trick where he passed our passports along with the 20 dollars showing, and asked for a comp upgrade to which the check in staff smiled and upgraded to a junior suite, which was amazing. Floor to ceiling windows, whirlpool bath the works.

Found the food in the hotel resturants very reasonable for a 5* ,went to the show '0' worth every penny .recommend you get the monorail a lot cheaper than taxis,we went to premium outlet mail very cheap.

The bellagio may be more expensive but after staying there, I now realise why we cant wait to go back.

Stayed here for my son's 30th birthday. What an excellent hotel. It seems we had all the the previous post had without paying an upgrade so we must have been lucky. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the strip so everything is within easy reach walkwise and those few places that aren't are only a taxi ride away.

We stayed at the Bellagio in November 2007. We booked a deluxe room, but asked at check in if they had any complimentary upgrades. The clerk very kindly upgraded us to a lake view room on the 20th floor which should have cost $50 a night extra. We tipped him $20 for his trouble.

I had also mentioned when booking that it was our anniversary and there was a gift certificate at check in for us. Took it to the gift shop and received Bellagio signature perfume which was really nice of them.

We had to lug our cases through the casino to get to the guest elevators. I guess it may be a good idea to leave you bags with the bell desk and have them delivered to the room, but we are do it yourself kind of people. You have to show your room key to get access to the elevators.

Found our room at the end of a long corridor. A very nice room, very beige, but no real wow factor. However the furnishings and linens were very luxurious. There was a King size bed topped with loads of pillows and cushions, two easy chairs, a desk and chair, mini bar, safe, armoire which housed the 28” TV, large drawers and two wardrobes.

There were two waffle robes and an iron and ironing board. The curtains and sheers were electrically operated from a switch next to the bed and the music for the fountain show was on channel 31 on the TV.

At the weekend there is a fountain show every 30 mins from noon till 8pm and then every 15 mins until midnight..

The bathroom was very nice with a deep bath, separate shower, sink and toilet. The counter top was granite and the floor was marble tiles. Very nice toiletries including mouthwash and a sewing kit. A hairdryer is provided in all Vegas hotel rooms.

We returned from shopping to find that the bed had been turned down with chocolates on the pillow, bins emptied, towels changed and all the toiletries replenished. A little bit of luxury. Room service wasn’t too expensive for the class of hotel.

The pool area was very nice with several pools and Jacuzzis and beautifully landscaped. Again you had to show your room key to gain access and it was scanned to ensure that it was valid.

You can buy a refillable travel mug from Cafe Gelato for around $6.50 which is then refillable free of charge with standard coffee, soft drinks and iced tea.

We had breakfast at the buffet which was very good. Fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, smoked salmon and there were also things like roast duck curry. If you ask for hot tea it is served in a small silver teapot, but the water isn’t quite hot enough to make a proper cuppa.

The casino is bright and airy and not at all smoky, but there is a poor selection of penny slots. Table minimums are higher than most casinos.

We stayed here on a promotional rate they were running on their website and I would certainly stay here again if the price was right.

You can see photos of the room in the Holiday Truths Photo Galleries at http://www.holiday-truth.com/gallery/America

We decided to get married in Las Vegas and for us there was only one place to do it, the Belagio, after all the reports from friends. We booked everything over the net, we used Belagio's own web site and got some really good deals.

The hotel was faultless, the staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and tidy (though we did upgrade to king room (20042) which was right on the corner of the hotel, which meant we had views of the fountains and right down the strip, even the bathroom had a large window where the strip could be viewed from the whirlpool bath).

The location on the strip was perfect, right in the middle, within 30-45mins walk of most other hotels.

We didn't do any of the shows at the hotel, but were told they were very good.

Our wedding was brilliant, the staff really went out of there way to make our day seem that little bit more special.

We did a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon (Sundance tours) which was breathtaking, well worth the £'s.

All our party who came with us are planning to go back as everyone enjoyed themselves.

Highly recommended!!!!

We did a DIY holiday to Vegas and then a week's DIY drive round in March 2006. For me, there was only one place to stay and that was the Bellagio....we booked the hotel as a package with NASCAR tickets etc for the races in March as my hubby is a huge NASCAR fan so it was easy...he gets to go to the races, I get to stay in the Bellagio.

I expected it to be very busy for the NASCAR and although it got a little busier at the weekend, it was nowhere near as I had expected it was going to be. We extended our stay to a week as the races take up 2 whole days of time. The hotel itself and our room was spotless! Check in didn't take too long, there were queues, it took about 10 minutes.

We were very lucky as we got upgraded to a lakeview room for nothing! Hubby reckoned it was his charm that did it! I felt bad because we were so tired after the flight, we didn't even tip the check in lady! Following a tip from my fellow traveller round the world, U2fan, we made a friend of one of the concierges before the trip....I got some room stuff, balloons, champagne and chocs ordered as an early birthday surprise for hubby which came an hour after we checked in...due to this, we managed to blag 3 days worth of line passes.

To be honest we didn't need them, we tended to get up early anyway and the queues aren't bad at 8am to 8.30am for the breakfast buffet or Cafe Bellagio. The rooms are big and comfy. The shower is great....I would have thought a 5 star establishment would have heated bathroom floors and heated towel rails but perhaps you don't get that in ordinary rooms! Wardrobe space isn't vast but wasn't too much of a problem (the only problem was getting our shopping home from the Outlet mall but that's another story!)

The food was excellent in the Bellagio....the breakfast was extensive although I did find it a little odd that there was loads of Chinese food on offer at that time of the morning, the fruit was delicious and the french toast divine. Cafe Bellagio was also good, for dessert, you have to try the trio of creme brulee's!!!! We also sampled the food at the Palio cafe for breakfast one day which was also good, a little pricey and of course the Gelato shop, very good Italian style ice cream....

The location of the Bellagio couldn't be better, it is in the centre of the Strip and you can comfortably walk to the Wynn and Fashion Mall, about half an hour's walk and then the other way to New York, New York, if you go across the road to the Excalibur, you can take the free monorail to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

All of staff we encountered were polite and friendly. We didn't sample the entertainment in the hotel unless you can call people watching entertainmentn and eatching people at the casino gamble away...we had a little go at the slots and ended up being slightly up but we knew when to stop. I would definitely recommend the Bellagio and would stay here again.

Wow - what a fantastic hotel. We loved every minute of our stay!

Check in took about 15 minutes - it was quite chaotic, with lots of seperate queues for each check-in desk. In my opinion, it would have been better to have one central queue, which many of the other hotels seemed to have.

I'd advised the Concierge via email prior to our trip that it was my husband's 30th whilst we were there, so we were given a complimentary gift (four minature Bellagio aftershaves/perfumes) and a line pass for the Buffet and Cafe Bellagio for the duration of our stay.

Our room was on the 16th floor and overlooked the lake / fountains. We paid quite a lot extra to get this view but boy, it was worth every single penny. I've read many reviews about people getting emotional when they see the fountains for the first time and I can totally vouch for that. They were spectacular. I think they started at 3pm and were half hourly until 7pm, when they went off every 15 minutes until midnight. We expected them to have the same music / sequence every time, but there were many different versions. One of my favourite 'sequences' was to Elton John's 'My Song' (maybe timed for his arrival in Vegas?!). Anyway, I never got tired of watching them. If you tune into channel 31 on the TV, you can watch them with the music too.

The room was huge - it had a massive bed, which was so comfy, and a huge bathroom with a sunken bath and a walk-in shower. There were lots of nice smelling complimentaries. My only (minor) gripe was that there wasn't much wardrobe space.

I can definately recommend the Bellagio!

The only reason I have given a 4 to food is the expense, we didnt eat here once, my husband is a fussy eater so to pay £50+ perhead for dinner for us is just not worth it.

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon - we have been to Vegas before and stayed in the MGM grand (also lovely but not as good as bellagio)

We are looking to go back to Vegas again and would definatley stay here again. Chocoloates on your pillow, a huge bathroom with an array of fluffy towels, bathrobes and as we were on honeymoon we got a free upgrade to a junior suite.

If you get a chance visit it and feel posh!!

The Bellagio is affordable luxury for the common man. Room only of course, as there's so many fantastic places to eat.

The hotel is spotless and the rooms top class. A nice touch with the automatic drapes!(curtains to you and me)This place couldnt be better situated on the strip.

It truly is 'THE' place to be if you want to be in the heart of the best adult playground in the world! Staff, as all are in Vegas, are great and the entertainment surrounds you the moment you leave the elevator(lift).

I was disappointed that the lounge had a cover charge whilst I was there. $50 inc. wine, so we chose to go to the countless other watering holes which adorn the meadows (Las Vegas)

The pool is the best ever and yes I would go back, bank balance permitting.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Bellagio. I regard it as the best hotel in Las Vegas.

The suites are magnificent, we were on the top floor with a bedroom, a living room and a walk in wardrobe, two bathrooms one with shower one with bath also a little loo next to the living room. The views are amazing, we could see the airport in the distance.

The restaurants are wonderful particularly Olives. Try for a table on the balcony overlooking the dancing fountains. Unlike other correspondents I do not recommend O as a show, we were so bored we walked out after 20 minutes (which at £80 a seat was an expensive mistake)

The gambling is fun but beware of some problems, we were checking out early and my husband was propositioned by a couple of hookers at 5a.m. when he went to settle the bill!!

Stayed in a lakefront room (19044) for 3 nights. View was magical, room was fantastic, and all the staff were warm and very friendly.

Ate at the Buffet and cafe Bellagio, and service and food was consistently good.

I cannot fault this hote - yes it is expensive, but compared to the same level of hotel in say london, this is cheap.

Saw "O" for the fourth time, and loved it again. There is a magic in this hotel that I cannot explain, and would stay here gain in a heartbeat.

When I stay on the strip this is hotel of choice (until I get to see what the new Wynn hotel is like!).

Worth every penny for a bit of luxury.

I had booked on the internet and was promised a fountain view room.

They do not state a check in time but allow you to check in when the room is ready. We were at the hotel at around 11am and were told that the room specified (non smoking with two king size beds) was not ready but we were welcome to use the hotel facilities and use the internal hotel phones to check each hour. We passed the time by collecting our tickets for the ‘O’ show that evening and having lunch in the buffet.

The Buffet is amazing! I have never seen such a wide variety of quality food in one place. The secret is to have little and often. I, on the other hand, had a large mound of food and was disappointed that I was then full and could not try several of the things still on offer. The cooking stations were wonderful.

We eventually had the keys at 2.30pm. Went straight to the room and found that the drapes were closed. Tried to open them but couldn’t. Found a switch between the two beds above the bedside cabinet which were marked ‘drapes’ and ‘sheers’. Electric curtains! Opened both sets and saw the most amazing view. We were in the centre of the hotel and on the 22nd floor so had a marvellous view of the fountains.

Quickly found the channel on the TV that played the music to accompany the fountain (channel 31 I believe) and we sat ready for the first show at 3.00pm with a glass of wine. Well – what can I say? I’ve read so many reviews about the fountains but personally I was mesmerised. I saw each show until 6pm and then had to dress for pre-show drinks.

The amenities in the rooms were faultless – huge pillow and cushions on the sumptuous beds, three phones (one in the bathroom), two wardrobes (one storing the ironing board, iron and bathrobes and on the outside of the other was the safe). Marble bathroom with sunken bath, separate huge walk in shower with a glass panel and door. Lovely towels (I think we had about 8), nice toiletries and an illuminated magnifying mirror (which I would not look into!). Huge mirrors in the bedroom and bathroom.

The décor was modern European and was in a very good condition. There was a writing desk, a small table by the window - both had comfy chairs. The lighting was subtle with a lot of down lighters creating the perfect mood for the room.

The stocked fridge (mini-bar) was quite expensive but what you would expect of a 5* hotel. There were also snacks available.

We had drinks in the Petrossian Caviar bar and were lucky to get seats on the outside - a ‘verandah’ type area where the pianist was at the baby grand playing assorted tunes with great skill. It was lovely just sitting there while the crowds passed (it is near the entrance and reception)

The ‘O’ show was (and is) the most amazing spectacle I have ever seen. We had rung concierge from the UK to try and get seats (the internet site only had seats left at the very back) and managed to get the second row – front centre. The whole theme of the show is based around water – in, on and above. I really can’t describe the show – it was a feast visually with so much happening at once the senses are sometimes overwhelmed. The tickets aren’t cheap (they were as much, per ticket, as the room!) but worth it – I’d pay more next time if I had to.

Afterwards, back to the Petrossian bar for cheese and biscuits washed down with a bottle of bubbly. Again, outside and people watching. We left around midnight where the crowds were busier than ever.

Slept soundly and had breakfast in the room. I have never seen so many small condiment bottles – Tabasco (for the tomato juice), Heinz red sauce (for the hash browns) and three bottles of maple syrup for the blueberry pancakes.

One thing to note – you don’t have to ‘borrow’ any towels from the room as a keepsake. Opposite the lifts is a shop that sells anything from the room – towels, toiletries, bathrobes, etc and in the room you can even order the mirrors, mattress and most items that are in the room.

We only stayed one night but it was a genuine break from reality.

The Bellagio is absolute luxury from the moment you arrive.

The foyer is so impressive with the glass flowers and all staff were extremely helpful.

The rooms were superb, well appointed and immaculately clean. The bathrooms are sumptuous.

We didn't eat here (bit pricey) and most of the shops here were 'just looking' prices. Only tiny criticism is that there weren't tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The 'dancing fountains' are a must not miss!!

Swimming pools were wonderful but unfortunately while we were there it was just too hot to use them!!

Would definitely visit this hotel again and it really sets a standard for others to be judged by.

The Bellagio has a great reputation as being one of the finest hotels around and rightly so. The whole place reeks of 'style' from the second you step into the Foyer with the marvellous glass ceiling art on show. Check in staff were extremely helpful although it was very busy and waiting time was about 20 mins, but it was a weekend so it was expected.

The rooms are lovely, especially if you pay for one of the dearer rooms. We got a good deal on a 'normal' room for $159 a night.

The pool area is fantastic, about 6 different pools, with fountains in the middle, it's gorgeous. Entry to the pool area is by electronically checking your room key so no way could you sneak in if staying somewhere else!

The food in the hotel is expensve but the buffet is well worth checking out. The shops are very expensive and the gaming tables tend to have higher minimum bets than other hotels locally so you really do need a bit of money to sample everything the hotel has to offer. We tended to eat and gamble elsewhere but to stay here was fantastic, certainly a top hotel and if you get the chance, worth spending a little extra to experience it.
