An all round reasonably nice hotel although a trifle bland. Clean and tidy and staff friendly. Paid an extra 25 euros a night to upgrade to 6th floor room and get a few 'extras' (bottled water, tea/coffee making facility, discount in Italian restaurant etc). Wasn't worth it and wouldn't bother with this again.

Rooms pretty spacious. Stingy with replenishment of toiletries, unless shower gel etc was completely empty it was not re-stocked even though not enough left for the next shower! Took to pouring any leftovers down the plug hole each morning to ensure fresh supply.

Classed as 'summertime'(end April) so hotel pool not heated, absolutely freezing so not very many people in it. Poolside bar was pretty much rubbish, service not great, staff seemed a bit vague. Not enough cushions on the sun beds so some people had to just lie on the plastic. Find your own vacant bed and if you want the umbrella up do it yourself!

On arrival day I had not eaten since 11:00am and had not been in the sun (drove in convoy from Luxor), drank nothing but bottled water. Had a fruit cocktail (no alcohol) at 4:30pm by the pool and within an hour I had several urgent appointments with the bathroom! My drink had ice in it - make your own judgment about that.

Have found with all Hilton chain that they tend to be a bit stingy with their air con, public areas can get over warm and the breakfast restaurant was boiling. Room air con not much better, thought at first it was faulty but asked other guests who said theirs also appeared weak. Can get more air movement out of my hairdryer.

Free shuttle into 'downtown' quite good. A few desks located in reception for booking trips. Hotel right on a private beach with more than adequate amount of cover from the sun and plenty of sun beds. Beach staff more helpful than pool staff when helping locate vacant beds and settling customers in.

Guest mainly consisted of Italian, French, German and Eastern Europeans, British seemed few and far between but staff spoke all the languages so not a problem.

Not many (any) places to eat directly outside the hotel and not much 'going on' in the hotel, all in all I found the location a bit remote as I usually like to walk out in the evenings and eat locally.

Can't find too much fault with the hotel and have a sort of indifferent opinion of it. Would probably try one in a more central location next time.

All in all i cannot think of any bad points to this hotel, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull,
the food for me was brilliant ,very varied, and lots to choose from, i cannot really coment on the pool as we only went there once as the beach was so nice. Although the pool area was very clean as in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
One strange thing though ,the hotel does not take travellers checks, for bill payment ?,but there is a bank on site for you to change checks if you need to, also there are some nice little shops, overall ,one of the best hotels i have stayed in
