great hotel but i must say we did stay in the new part of the hotel and guests staying in the old part did mention rooms were shabby. Our rooms were spacious and well maintained. The hotel has 5 pools but the 1 in the new part is the best.no entertainment in the hotel apart from the odd barbecue with belly dancers etc.The promenade is a 10 minute walk over the very busy road outside the hotel.Only went b&b but glad of that as the breakfasts are disgusting plenty to choose from pastries, pancakes and a number of hot plates with 'slops' on never could find anyone who could tell us what they were.difficult to get a table for breakfast as it was a free for all and many local guests seem to have breakfast and sit for the duration on completion leaving hardly any tables for other guests. When you did find a table trying to find someone to clear the table of leftovers was impossible.cleaners do an amazing job and rooms are kept spotless.free safes in reception.na ama bay is about a 15 min walk away with lots of restaurants and bars.hotel beach is quite nice but dont eat there, ordered on a couple of days but both times food was terrible.the new part of the hotel is quite a distance from reception and there is a rather nasty slippery slope to get to it.food by the pool is basic but good and well priced.staff are helpful but only a few receptionists speak english and can be frustrating at times.Air conditioning is great in the rooms but is rather noisy at night so if you are a light sleeper consider turning it off or you will return home with more bags than the local supermarket.beware of the pharmacy on site ,was told by reps belly tablets should cost between £1 and £3 they wouldnt take any less than £9 for an english medicine. In the end gave us an equally good egyption medicine they didnt normally give to the english for £3 so go for that its just as good.fridges in rooms were very welcome and the hotel do not mind if you take your own drinks to the pool which is unusual in a lot of hotels. If you have a spare night or find na ama bay a complete sweat box go to the hotel bbq, good food and good entertainment.fot the girls the massage treatment with the full works is ace, massage ,facial and full body scrub, though wear a bikini as to shower you need to go to a shower outside near one of the pools.the full works 30 quid and 2 hrs of relaxation.would recommend this hotel must add though 24 hr inside bar is in reception and the air con is terrible so rather uncomfortable to sit in.The hotels royal pub is terrible dont waste your time there !!! try elsewhere theres plenty of places to try . Enjoy .

This was my 7th time in Egypt an it was the worst hotel I`ve stayed in. It was clean enough but was shabby and in need of repair in lots of places, some were actually dangerous eg.broken tiles, open manhole covers.

At the pool we used most time the fridge broke down on 1st day so no cold drinks all week. Only had brekfast and choices were limited.

Staff were nice enough but entertainment was terrible.

I love Egypt but wouldn`t return to this hotel.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel mostly due to the staff and location. Rooms were cleaned every day and some days I was left a small posy of flowers in a vase or flowers strewn across our bed which was a very nice touch. Towels and bedding were changed daily also. We were here b&b but only made breakfast around 3 times due to late nights in Naama Bay. Food seemed ok we would tend to go for fried eggs with toasted crusty bread (just don't expect a full english)The centre of Naama Bay was across a very busy road so be careful, and it only took around 10 mins to be in the centre of everything. Staff were very friendly but I must mark down for hotel entertainment virtually none existent!!

We stayed in the Tropiccana for the second time.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the cleaners in the rooms were fantastic. The breakfasts were very nice and there was plenty of choice, fresh omelettes and pancakes were made to order.

The hotel was in a safe good location and the security was really reassuring.

The reception staff were very helpful, we visited the lobby bar on two occassions and felt the service quite poor the waiters were very slow to serve and gave the change in very low notes a mixture of Egyptian and U.S dollars so we did'nt know what the change was, we had to take it to the bar and get it changed for larger Egyptian notes(this they did but they were smirking) we felt this to be quite rude.

I don't think we have ever stayed in a cleaner hotel!! So could not fault them on that. We had clean towels in the room every day as well as at the pool.

There are plenty of pools to choose from so never overcrowded, the best and biggest one seems to be the one at the top of the hill.

The pools are not heated though so didn't spend any time in them which is a shame as there is a swim up bar. The beach is better as it is more lively and only a 10min walk.

We stayed on a half board basis as we got a good deal but probably would not bother again as the selection is not brilliant and often strange combinations.

Can't really comment on the hotel entertainament as we did use it. I know they do theme nights with belly dancing and bbq etc, but with the centre of Na'ama bay so close we walked down town everynight.

We would go back as staff are friendly, its clean and is in a good location.

Lovely hotel ,really friendly staff they cant do enough for you.

Towels put out for us every day at the pool which was colder than the sea ! but did,nt stop us from swimming in it lots.

Only down side was that the hotel is situated on the other side of the road from the private beach, you had to cross a busy dual carriageway but it was ok as only 10min walk.

You are close to the really great restaurants bars and shops great time bartering ! We are definatly going back again.

You MUST do the trip to Cairo brilliant day out we flew which took only 35 mins you can go by bus but takes 6 hours.

Take a travel kettle if you like your tea.

Wouldn't stay here again, the breakfast was a mix of all-sorts, I've never had mashed potato that early in the morning, I stuck to cornflakes and toast, there was no air con in the morning and the flies were everywhere.

When you walk into the hotel it looks ok until you get to the rooms. The standard of rooms was ok but the decorating was poor, white emulsion slapped everywhere, I've never seen grouting like it. The furniture in the rooms was very tired and old but clean.

The pools were ice cold so no one was swimming.

The pictures on the Thomson web site made it look better than it is. There are better hotels along the same road as I saw when we were on the coach from the airport. (The airport should have a site of its own).

This hotel is a large complex very clean and of a good standard.

The rooms have air con/hair dryer nice size balcony overlooking pool area. Towels are changed daily you are given a clean towel daily for the pool or beach no need to take your own. We were b and b. Plenty of choice no need to go hungry something for everyone omelettes very nice, tea or orange juice tastes funny due to the water better buying fresh orange juice for a £1.

Hotel staffs speak good English & all the staff work from morning till night very polite but don’t earn a lot of money so a tip goes a long way. We didn’t stay in the complex at night so cant comment on the entertainment so much going on in Naama bay itself. The Camel bar was good-English tavern bar also Pascha night club not to be missed.

I would visit Sharm again and to the same hotel as we had no complaints at all. Security tight as well which is a good thing tourist police everywhere.

This was not a pleasant experience!! The room was not clean, especially the bathroom.

The aircon didn't work properly and had to have the 'engineers' out twice! After the second time it worked but not as good as it should have.

The bar staff cannot keep track of who bought what drinks and they really, really don't like you to pay as you go.

The hotal never had any money for me to exchange traveller cheques. Had to walk down the road to do that.

The breakfast was standard for that sort of hotel. The omlettes and the pancakes were very good but the orange juice was orange in colour but not in taste!

The location is quite good, especially if you're a diver. Emperor Divers is next door and they were a very good outfit. Excellent dives.

The staff seem to loiter around on your last day, hoping for a tip.

I would not go back there. If I had been there with my wife instead of a group of friends I would have been very p'd off.

Although we were only b/b the choice and quality was excellent.

The Hotel was higher up than the beach hotels but if you are fit who cares. Its only 5/10 min walk to the private beaches Gaffy beach is best.(turn left outside hotel).

Although we were booked in for a single and a triple room, we were offered a family suite on arrival at no extra cost. This was really good as we got three double rooms, two bathrooms plus living and dining rooms and a decent sized kitchen with a large fridge - totally unexpected and very pleasing - also four air condition units.

We were given fresh towles both for the pool areas and the beaches every day - do not take your own - no need. The cleanliness in our rooms could not be beaten -when you talk about spring cleaning this was happening every day, we gave a good tip at the end of our holiday as the cleaners do not get paid a very good wage - worth every penny.

All the staff were very helpfull everyone speaks very good English.

The entertainment was about the same as you get in most hotels - alright at first then boring. There is so much going on in the resort that you do not nees the hotel entertainment.

The promenade (straight through the Hilton over the road from the hotel) has lots going on as does the main street which you will come to if you keep going along the promenade.

This was the second time that we have stayed in the Tropicana Rosetta Hotel, and would go again in a heart beat.

In fact we will be visiting again next year. The rooms are clean the food is good and the pools are a brilliant place to relax and chill out.

All of the staff were brilliant especially the bar staff who made this second visit as memorable as the first.

Everyone remembered who we were from the first time we were there. I cannot state enough what a thorougly great place to stay, this Hotel is.

We have been to Egypt a number of times but the Rosetta is definitely our favourite.

This was my second visit to the Tropicanna, there are a lot of changes going on.

A new pool is to be opened next year which is being built at the moment, and there is quite a lot of building work going on. This is quite noisy in the morning, OK if your an early riser but if you wanted a lie in you would be upset. This said I had a wonderful holiday, the staff are great.

The omelettes are no longer available in the dining room for breakfast but the bread is out of this world (I know its just bread but its so fresh and tasty) There is a new mini market (careful he charges you different prices every day) one day a bottle of water was 30p next day 50p, he had to be told.

The room was well cleaned daily and little touches like bunches of freshly picked flowers, and my dressing gown belt left in the shape of a heart were nice. A small tip gets you almost anything you desire in sharm so make good use of your small change. For £20 you can get a late check out which is good if your flight is a late one, we took a taxi to the airport about £8 and well worth it.

On arrival we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel we were quoted £20!! argued him down to £8 (This is the right price) so be warned. We are trying another hotel next year but only for a change, all in all for the price the Tropicanna Rosetta is great.

The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing and our room was cleaned everyday to a high standard by the most sweetest guys who would leave nice little touches in your room.

The food was really nice and there was a lot to choose from, the omelette's were the best as well as the pastries they had for breakfast.

Namma Bay is only a short walk away, and there is a good selection of shops and fast food places. If your into leather bags as i am you'll be in heaven and sooooo much cheaper than the uk. The people are friendly but they will hassle you a bit to come into their shop to buy stuff, so be prepared but it's all good fun.

The staff make you feel really welcome 24/7.

There is not a lot of entertainment although there is a nightclub attached to the hotel, and on one of the nights there was belly dancing, the excursions are a must especially Cairo and Dolphinella also you must visit the old market which is far cheaper than the resort.

We had an amazing time and would go again in a heart beat, Thanks to all the staff at this hotel xxxx.

Stayed at the Rosetta for 2 weeks and were really impressed with the place, particularly for the money we paid.

Food: We stayed on B+B basis and only had breakfast there, ate out for all other meals. Good selection of food on offer, tended to stick to the freshly made omelette's etc., which were really good.

Room: Our room was perfectly adequate, we weren't expecting the Ritz and certainly didn't get it, but the room was kept very clean (as was the hotel generally - we got back to our room at 5 in the morning one day and they were still out, scrubbing and polishing!) with good air con, fridge, TV, comfy chairs etc.

Location: In our mind it was perfectly located, on the main road but close enough to Naama Bay for a slow stroll in (no need for taxis). Cut through the Hilton just over the road. Was also right next door to Emperor Divers who we did our open water and advanced open water PADI course with - highly recommended if you're interested!

Beech: They have access to Gafy Beech, about a 15 minute walk away. We only went there once as we were diving most of the time. Beech was good though with great snorkeling.

Pools: 5 pools in all, go to the top pool if you can, keep going up the path until you get to a road, the hotel actually continues the other side and the best and largest pool is situated here. For the first week of our holiday we virtually had it to ourselves whilst every one else jostled for position around the pool closest to the reception.

Overall a great place and we would certainly go back.

Spotlessly clean, as memtioned these guys work 24/7 cleaning, the reception area has a guarded front with one member of staff and a tourism policeman.

Our room was thankfully air conned as night time temperatures were approx 35C, pools were clean and you got towel vouchers to use around them, the restaurant was fine and as we were b+b we had breakfast where you could get omelettes and fried eggs along with pasties and fresh fruit.

Lunch and dinner always smelled nice but we always ate out. Our room cleaner was very efficient and looked after all our needs, all the staff in the hotels in sharm are male, and they do a brilliant job so be kind when tipping as they only get £60 per month!!

I am an independant travel agent who sells Egypt holidays. As I had never been I thought it best if I get out there and check it out.

I was recommended this hotel by a travel manager and we had a brilliant time. the staff never stopped cleaning the hotel they were still at it at 3.30am polishing the gold handrails, planters and even the hinges on doors.

My husband and I were on bed and breakfast only but there was plenty of choice. I loved the ommlettes. The location is mountain side but is only 5 minutes walk to the beach. The staff were really nice and friendly especially Waleed the head of reception, nothing is too much trouble for them. We arrived the day before the Bombs went off, and it was only 300 yards away for our hotel(we were actually sat outside the front of the hotel at the Royal pub which is next door). This pub has excellent air conditioning if you fancy a nice drink before you retire for the night.

We decided to continue with our holiday as did most of the people who were staying at the hotel.

The staff were always asking you if you were ok and seemed very ashamed by what had happened.

First time we had visited Sharm, and was a bit dubious as people had told us alot of negative things about the place. How wrong they was!!

This place was great!!!

The location was fantastic, not to close for comfort, yet not to far for a taxi. We never had the experience of having to get one(although it wasn't for them trying). We just used to cross the road and go through the Hilton.

The staff were so helpful and polite!

I found the egyptian people so friendly, although don't stand outside a shop to long as they may want you to sign their book(for good luck they say). DON'T DO IT). You will be there all day.

There are 2 beaches that can be used, one is Gaffy beach and the other is Avista Beach(not sure of the name). The second one is the better, but make sure you get the right voucher from reception.

Definetely reccomend B&B or RO as the food is so cheap. Try the Mexican place, it's FAB and so CHEAP! There is just so much to choose from food wise.

You have got to go Snorkelling, it is one of the best experiences in my life. I have never even jumped into the deep end of a swimming pool, so as you can imagine I was bricking my self. I asked for a life jacket and there was no turning back for me.

Although do not pay more than around 130 Egyptian pounds, we paid more, so don't forget to haggle, and thats on everything.

I had previously heard that the English were few and far between, well let me tell you it was full of them and we made alot of friends out of it

I'm sure you'll have a great time. Oh and don't forget to try a shish pipe.

Hotel cleanliness.

Lovely reception area which looks down into the dining area. The cleaning of the hotel seemed to be cleaned by an army of cleaners. Security guards (egyptions on seats)where strategically placed around the spralling complex of 2 storey buildings. 3 pools top pool being the best. Our room was situated at the back of the site about 5 mins walk up hill from reception. There is a secondary smaller reception half way. The room looked over the best pool(very nice) with sunshine all morning on the balcony.

Hotel Food

Advise to go B&B very cheap to eat out in town centre. Breakfast was OK at the Hotel, variety of pastries, bread buns with mashed potato? sausages, tomatos, fruit salads, selection of cereals etc.

Hotel Location

10-15mins walk to the beach turn left out of the hotel and cross road, there is a road down to beach.
The hotel has its own beach (Gafy Beach) you will need tickets from reception.

Town centre 10 -15 mins turning right out of hotel. You will get regulary pipped and flashed by the 100s of taxis and other vehicles if you walk. (taxi about 10 EP if you haggle before you get in from hotel to town centre)

Hotel Staff

Kind and friendly.

Entertainment

Not much.

New years eve was a total nightmare. We were placed in a corner room with no view whatsoever apart from the generators on the side of the hotel.

The Banquet for New Years Eve was fantastic and they really went to town on the whole evening however after going to bed at 1.00 we were (and baby) kept awake until 4.30am with the industrial hoover/floor cleaner out on all the landing clearing away the xmas and new year decoration mess. Despite asking them to stop 5 times and going to reception twice the staff did nothing but laugh at us.

The cot for our baby fell apart as soon as we put him in it. And all the highchairs have screws and nails poking out.

There are no lifts or ramps so you have to carry the buggy up stairs all the time (restaurant, room or pool).

This was the second visit to this hotel. We changed to this hotel a week before and made our own way there to find no record of our booking. 4 bottles of Sakara later we got upgraded into a nice 2 bed apartment overlooking the better pool with excellent views over the sea from 2 of the 3 balconies.

The food in the hotel was of a good standard.

Poolside safe(ish) but the pub food nice.

No real entertainment a belly dancer and a troupe of Russian dancers but with the town only 10 min walk away no need to stay in.

The staff were friendly but not intrusive and they left you alone but were never far away if needed and if we go back to Sharm we would book this hotel again

Stayed in Tropicana Rosetta a week, end of October/beginning of November. Can make following comments:

* Hotel in general is clean and the staff is friendly. Having said that, I have to add that the room I got was more in the category two stars than 4 (which is their official rating). A bit sloppy. I suspect that this was because I was by myself (although I had paid for double occupancy). I suppose I could have changed but it was not that bad, and being on my own I did not bother. The other rooms, as far as I could see were OK though, so I you are a couple or family you should be fine.

* Had half board. Buffet. Food was OK but not much more. They had a tendency to re-circulate food. What had not gone one day become another dish the second day and then again a third dish the third day. I think you get the picture. After a week (although I l-o-v-e middle-east cuisine) I was more that happy to just have pasta and fruit a few days.

* Safe deposit box is free at the reception

* The Hotel DOES have a beach in Naama bay (as opposed to what I read earlier here). They share it with another hotel, Goofy Inn. You have to ask for a "towel ticket" at the reception. Access and towels are free.

* The upper pool is the best (I think they have four all together). The serve food and drinks here and you can have a massage. Full body massage (50min app.) for USD 27. Not bad

* As said, staff is nice and friendly, as Egyptians are in general. But if they can the will try to get money out of you (not surprising. I talked to a few guys and they do n-o-t earn a lot...). Example; Late check-out, 18.00, was included in my reservation. Nevertheless they (reception) tried a few times to deny this and make me pay 35 USD for the extra time. But just be cool and stand on your rights and it will be OK. Do not be naive, that all. And try not to get too upset. A firm but friendly attitude and a smile is better.

* Try to pick up a few basic words in Arabic (thanks, bye, good morning etc.). It is appreciated.

We probably stayed in the nicest part of the hotel. It was the farthest from the reception, but had the largest of the 5 pools, & a really good pool & snack bar.

Our first room was probably only a 2 star, but we were moved as soon as we had a bit of a moan, so no problems there.

The staff were very friendly & helpful, and the security guards were very unobtrusive.

The rooms were cleaned every day, and quite a good job was made of it, but they didn’t seem to want to part with too many loo rolls! We had to keep asking for more & hiding the half rolls in the mornings or you wouldn’t get any more!

The breakfasts weren’t brilliant, but with the food being so cheap, we just ate at the pool bar.

Being Egypt and the hottest part of the year there air conditioning is a necessity. First room we had was terrible - A/C was either on full (meaning you'd wake up freezing in the middle of the night) or was simply off meaning you just couldn't sleep and were wet thorough with sweat!

Furniture was falling apart, lots of things broken...maintenance seems to be, if it breaks, leave it or take it away if someone complains! Shower was just a trickle of water.

Hotel kept saying they'd fixed things when either a)they didn't know what you were on about as their English was very poor, or b) they were just fobbing you off.

We moved room purely for A/C reasons and it was much better (in a newer block).

However, a few days later we returned back to find it flooded - with water still pouring from all A/C units!!! There had been a burst pipe on the roof. We phoned reception who never even knew. 45 mins later water was still pouring in and even coming through the power points!

We had to move room again! There were still problems like toilet not flushing and shower waste blocked (they couldn't even fix this!!)

We were on a B&B basis and the food was certainly NOT to British taste - we didn't fancy meats and cheeses for breakfast nor cakes!! The A/C in reception and dining area was also OFF so it was unbearable!

The beach was a good 15min walk and when you got there in the intense heat you were exhausted and soaking!

We went on a Cairo coach trip and were the only hotel whose guests were NOT allowed to take a pillow onto the coach to help you sleep overnight!! They got the hotel security onto us as if we were robbing the crown jewels!

We bought a child's lifejacket from the hotel shop...after using it once it was falling apart, all freyed with the float actually coming away - totally dangerous. They refunded me but refused to stop selling them even when I reminded them that they had been lucky this time - a child could be dead next time - they just laughed!!!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
DON'T go to this hotel!

I agree with Nessy - this is a lovely hotel, very clean and friendly with all amenities, chinese restaurant/internet cafe/nightclub/DHL office and shop/minimarket.

Our room was at the top end of the hotel past the kids club and minimarket. Hairdryer, fridge (ideal for drinks and ice packs) two double-ish beds, although not much clothes storage space. Our room was very clean and although our bath tap broke it was fixed the same day, as was the air conditioning - which we had on at 16 all day and night it was lovely like sitting in a fridge. There is a doctor on 24hr call and a daily clinic for any illnesses. The doctor is a lovely old egyptian man who treated my son and insisted on seeing him twice more to make sure he was okay(you wouldnt get that here!)

Food and drinks at hotel(pool bar) really cheap and pizzas are fab. The pool boys and general staff are really freindly, they love children.

The black house disco apparently is full of russian girls?! our rep is a regular, but we never made it there, always too tired!

Walk into the town is about 5-10mins ideally located, but taxis are cheap and arent a problem to find, everywhere you go your asked if you want one. Average price is £2, make sure their price is for the whole group, not per person, a crafty trick.

NOTE; dont turn right out of the hotel to walk into town - turn left and just past the dive club cross over the road follow signs for public beach. There is a wonderful promenade along the beach filled with bars and restaurants, much better than the noisy road. When you pass the end of the Movenpick turn right and you will find their bakery - fabulous cakes and lovely staff. (good entertainment here too)

You wont belive the size of Naama bay its huge, hard rock cafe/pizza hut/macdonalds/KFC as well as egyptian/ indian/chinese/Tai restaurants and shisha bars. Its all sooo cheap! We loved it here, during the day its like a ghost town and at night you wonder where they all came from. The average temp early june was 37/38 but one day it was 41c and you felt it. We took a 2yr old and he coped okay, but be prepared to adapt to the heat ie, sleep in afternoons and go out after 7pm - sun went down. Have a fab time, you'll love it!

the hotel is in real need of modernisation - the rooms are a decent size, but the beds are very very hard, the bathroom needs attention (shower curtain kept on falling down despite house keepings fix attempt of jamming a piece of paper at the end of the pole) and the rooms smelled musty. there was no minibar in our room and only one "watchable" tv channel (no english language channels)

the pool area was fine, but there are alot of manholes that are dangerously fitted, a concern if you have young children

we went B&B and most of us skipped breakfast as there wasnt much for the "british palate"

i will definately go back to Sharm again but will avoid the Tropicana Rosetts

The hotel reception area is lovely - all marble with a domed roof with a massive brass lamp/chandelier thing in the middle. Safety Deposit boxes are free - which is good because i don't think you should have to pay for them.

The rooms are clean and brightly painted in blue and yellow and the best thing about the rooms, well our room anyway, was the mini-fridge - it had a freezer compartment so it was great for keeping our gel ice packs icy - which came in handy on a couple of occasions in the middle of the night when the air-con wasn't working properly - I covered myself in them to keep me cool and help me get some sleep! Plenty of storage in the rooms but the wooden furniture needs some attention. All the cleaners in the hotel are men and this shows - you can see where they have just slopped the mop around on the floor and the excess water has started to rot the bottom of all the wooden furniture in the rooms. However, on the last night our cleaner had made some really interesting swan type things out of the towels and left them on our bed and covered them with pink petals which was really sweet.

This hotel is very popular with Egyptians, and as we were there during their school summer holidays this hotel was swarming with them. This didn't present too much of a problem apart from at Breakfast when they caused chaos and even flustered the egyptian waiting staff. Breakfast was OK, salad, patries, bread, ham, cheese, omelette bar etc, although I had a real job trying to persuade them that the butter was off - it smelt stronger than parmesan and that was before you took it out of the packet! I'm sure they thought I was mad!

A BIG fault with the waiting staff was that they were too eager to clear your plates away. One morning we had gotten our coffees, juice and rolls on our table and went back to get a cheese toastie and when we came back they had cleard everything away and another couple were sat there. They once even took my plate whilst I was still holding my knife and fork mid-mouthful!!

The pool at the hotel was very quiet as most of the people that visit Sharm spend their days 'under' the sea somewhere. Even the egyptians disappeared during the day. The pool is deperately in need of regrouting but other than that its OK. Towels are provided too. The waiter at the pool bar is really friendly and you can get a lunchtime pizza for £1.20 !

The Rosetta doesn't have a beach of its own but every morning you can catch the courtesy bus to the sister hotel, Oasis Beach, out at Sharks Bay. Collect a token from Reception and this entitles you to a free drink. The snorkelling here is great but the beach is carved out of the cliffside on terraces so is no good if you have mobility problems. Ensure you get there early so you can get a sunbed under an umbrella as you will need it!!! Towels are provided here too. The pool at this hotel is nice and big although a bit of a walk from the beach. I recommend eating the lunchtime buffet at the beach restaurant - its a fiver (very expensive) but you can eat as much as you like and they have a great choice - pizza, chicken, fish, chips, salads, vegetables, cakes & fruit.

Na'ama Bay itself is clean and very cosmopolitan. There are loads of places to eat and the lebanese place in the main precinct has a great salad bar and is really good value. Although my favourite was Ali Babas - great food & service. Best bar is the Camel Bar - they show new movies twice a week on the rooftop terrace, provide free nuts and the beer is icy cold, unlike some places.

All in all we had a really nice time and will definitely go back to Sharm, although I think we will try a different hotel and will not go during the egyptian holidays again - the resort & hotel was way too busy - the location is great and for a last minute jobbie it was perfectly adequate. Just don't pay the brochure prices.

There are just under 10 egyptian pounds to our pound at the moment so it is a great time to go as everything is really cheap.

Hope someone finds this useful!

Vanessa
