We have just returned from our 2 week holiday in Jolie Ville resort and casino, we went with my mum and dad who are both in their 60's, It is a good idea to just have bed and breakfast as there is so much choice of places to eat outside the hotel, breakfast was very good and we we didn't need to eat much for lunch, we had a meal in the barberque restaurant on the beach one night be aware there is a one off payment of £25.00 each to eat there and this is without any drinks, you can eat as much as you like, but I really don't think it was worth the money, we were to embaressed to walk out so we stayed, we were the only people in there, now I know why.

The location of this hotel is ideal,One part of it is on the beach front and there is another part of the hotel across the duel carriage way, this is called the annexe, not ideal if you have difficulties in walking, but there are golf carts there if you can't walk to far, just at the side of the hotel is the main street which has all the shisha bars and places to eat, but you don't hear any noise in the hotel it's really quiet. you can eat out in the nights average price £10 to £15 each some places are cheaper.

Staff in the hotel were lovely always said hello, anything you need just ask it's no problem.

Entertainment is not so good it was mostly the same thing every night, that seems to be the same for all the hotels, there is so much going on outside nobody seems that bothered.

The weather was very hot in June 40 in the day and 30d in the night,

I would go back but not this time of year maybe Jan Feb or even oct I was told is more comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at the Maritim Jollie Ville Casino and Resort, formally Movenpick and thought it was wonderful.

The buffet breakfast had something for everyone and the a la cart restaurant La Fleur was superb. I was not so keen on the Italian restaurant.

Generally speaking, we sample the local restaurants but unfortunately, my husband was admitted to hospital on our first day for one week so I ate in the hotel for convenience and was impressed with all the food I ate apart from the Italian restaurant which did not live up to expectations.

The staff were wonderful and very concerned for my husband's welfare. They welcomed him back like a long lost friend and enquired about his health whenever they saw him.

The hotel was constantly being cleaned in all areas and it shone like a new pin at all times.

There were plenty of beds around the pool and on the beach when we were there. We get up early but even late-comers had no problems as far as I could see.

The gardens are lovely and the terrace for our room provided a shady spot to sit in the heat of the day.

I cannot fault the hotel at all and would highly recommend it, especially for people with walking difficulties.

Their needs have been very carefully considered which is unusual in my experience.

Just back from a fantastic week at Jolie Ville. We stayed on a B&B basis, and the choice at breakfast was extensive, there was something for everyones taste, even the fussiest of eaters would be impressed. We didnt sample the food in the hotel in the evenings, but a couple we met on the first day were half board, and they were extremely happy with the food offered for their evening meal. Different themed evenings throughout the week. Both breakfast, and Dinner are served in the Orangerie restaurant close to the pool, and beach entrance.
The beach bar has a happy hour from 12 noon till 1pm, and again in the evening from 8pm till 9pm (if i remember correctly)
The Seagulls Bar,which is situated straight across from the Orangerie, also has a happy hour from 9.30pm till 10.30pm.

The staff here were outstanding, always a smile and a warm greeting,no matter what time of day,and nothing was too much trouble for them. I have stayed in various hotels around Egypt, and I have to say the Jolie Ville has been the best so far.
Our room was close to reception area 3016,and faced a small road leading to the annexe, which i thought may disturb our sleep at night, but we never heard a thing. We had 2 balconies, one of which had the sun all day by 10am so a nice place to sit if you dont feel like sitting around the pool. I may add that i was pleasently surprised to find that the pool was heated,as i found the sea to be a little bit chilly for me at this time of year. The rooms have a kettle and mugs, hairdryer and a safe.
The gardens around the hotel were beautiful, and very well maintained, and the scent from the Jasmine was wonderful. We even had an orange tree outside our balcony, which by the end of the week was missing a few oranges :-) maybe they ended up on the table at breakfast, or some guests were light fingered, I dont know :-D

We had a fun evening in Casino Royale, well worth a visit.
The Jolie Ville also has a bakery, which serves waffles to die for,and i highly recommend you have at least 1 during your stay.

I will definately be returning to this hotel in the future, and would go again tomorrow if i could.

WE stayed in the side annexe of the hotel, about 5 mins from beach and orangerie for breakfast, but what a fab time we had.

Breakfast loads of choice.

Beach plenty of beds, and ok service from waiters,at 4 oclock its beach volley ball called by Angela. Andreas is also good.

Our room was huge, complete with bath and shower.
There are golf buggys to Ferry you round if you dont want to walk.

Little Mohammed the security guy at the beach entrance is so lovely and his English is fantastic

I cant fault the place it is brilliant and so central, and lets not forget the scrumptious Movenpick Ice Cream, you gotta have it.

There is great on shore reef with I believe fab Coral, slightly out off the floating pontoon.

I say go , you cant help but have a fab time

This hotel is excellent. The rooms are situated in bungalows throughout the grounds and are very large. Yes, there are rooms in an annexe, but Thomson reserve rooms in the main hotel grounds unless you want a reduction in price and book the annexe rooms and a reduced price of £6 per night per person. We met a couple staying in them - they said the road is no problem as the security man crosses you safely over the road. All rooms don't have balconies, they have terraces complete with tables and chairs, an umbrella and sunbed.

One thing we noticed about the hotel was how disabled friendly it is. There are even two sets of beach sunbeds near the sea reserved for disabled guests. The beds and palm umberellas are on a decked section next to the boardwalk leading to the sea which makes it much easier for people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties to get to. And they are repected for use only by disabled visitors, although if not taken by early afternoon, the beach attendants will let able bodied people use them.

An annoying thing we noticed was that some people use their own towels to reserve beds around the pool, and use the free hotel beach towels to reserve beds at the beach too. When they get fed up or too hot at the pool, they come and use their beds at the beach. Very selfish and very greedy. Although plenty of beds at both, I would imagine in the main holiday season there would be a mad scramble to get beds at the pool or beach - although I don't have any qualms about moving towels from beds that have been left empty for more than 2 hours!

I wouldn't rave on the hotel restaurants too much. Yes, the breakfast is good if you're happy with bread (excellent and loads of choice), pancakes, cold cuts, fruit. But the hot breakfast food isn't that brilliant, and the one time I had a fried egg and my husband had an omelette both were put on our plates with the cooking oil - very greasy. We didn't bother again.

We had one buffet evening meal in the hotel's Orangerie restaurant which was nice, but cost £12.50 for the meal alone without drinks. This is very expensive in comparison with the cost of eating out in the resort. We spoke to a few people who ate in the other two restaurants (La Fleur and Ziglione) and they said the same. Very nice, but better to eat outside. Thomson charge £17 for the half board option. I wouldn't advise anyone to go half board as it's so cheap to eat outside and watch things going on. I also don't see the point of looking at the same surroundings for every meal you have. And at the end of the day, hotel food is hotel food the world over and doesn't provide much variety.

All in all an excellent winter holiday and we would definitely go back. The hotel is in a perfect spot. Directly on a private beach yet also in the main resort centre.

Can't comment on the hotel entertainment as we didn't use any of it.

As winter holidays go I don't think you could beat this one.

Nota five star hotel to European standards although to be fair most of the staff try hard.

Food acceptable though not "haute cuisine ". Daytime entertainment poor two girls did nothing except pool aerobics. Casino worst decor I have ever seen could not have a bet as they did not accept English or Egyptian pounds !!!!!

Do not get rooms in so called "sports area " as this involves a "route march "to the facilities in the hotel crossing a dual carriageway with crazy egyptian drivers .

Cant wait to go back.

The rooms were kept very clean and were away from the main pool which was great if you wanted a quiet time.

The hotel area was constantly being maintained and the pool was of the same.

Beach front location was great and the beach bar was also open at night which we enjoyed.

Breckfast at the orangry was to be seen with everything you could wish for. Staff were very friendly.

Never without a sun bed no matter what time we went down to the pool. Definately five star.

The hotel is a definite 5 star rating. The rooms are in two storey blocks of 4 rooms over a large area. The arrangement of rooms means that it is ideal for the disabled and there were quite a number of wheelchair users staying in the resort. There is an annexe across the road and I would not choose to stay in this as it is somewhat cut off from the main hotel complex. The private beach is attached to the hotel and is well staffed by attendants who will help you find a suitable sunbed if you are a late riser. Beach towels are supplied on a daily basis and when the temperature is a little overwhelming in the afternoon, iced towels are provided by the attendants (very welcome they were too)!

The hotel and beach are kept immaculate. This includes mopping all the paths each morning! The (male) maid service in the rooms includes charming touches such as arranging the childrens pyjamas and teddies on the bed.

The breakfast was excellent every morning. We tried all of the restaurants. The food was good in all except the italian although, it is fair to say that nobody else we spoke to had a bad meal in there. The range of food in the Naarma Bay area was excellent. Try the Peking for a good value, high quality chinese meal.

We felt that the location was perfect. Near to the beach, night life, shopping and restaurants. Being in the flight path didn't bother us. The rooms were sufficiently well glazed to keep out the noise and they didn't bother us during the day on the beach. The Movenpick Golf resort is a short bus or taxi ride away and the facilities are also excellent and freely avialable to those staying at the resort and casino (take your beach towels with you though). The golf resort is worth a visit for the snorkelling and if you have young children, the pool area is better as it has slides etc. We felt that the resort and casino was better because of its location.

The hotel staff were charming and went out of their way to help. The entertainment is a bit 2nd rate but then again no holiday resort I've been to yet has provided high class singers and cabaret stars for evening entertainment.

Overall an excellent holiday at an excellent hotel. I would definitely choose this hotel if we went back to Sharm el Sheikh.

This hotel is not 5 star as they claim it to be. We noticed that the star rating in Egypt is totally unreliable if you are used to American / European standards. If I use a European standard in the lines of Club Med resorts, I would rate this one as follows:

Rooms: 2*
Food quality: 3*
Pool: 1*
Beach: 2*
Location: 1*
Efficiency of staff: 2*
Children activities: 1*
Other activities: 2*
Maintenance / General Shape: 2*

With regards to airplanes, they cross the skies at low altitudes at 10min intervals. The Russian planes are especially noisy. But this is a problem for all resorts in Naama Bay, not just the Movenpick.

Given the low quality in general, we spent many days at the Movenpick Golf's pool and beach (10min taxi drive), which were better, but still far away from being 5 star.

So don't be mislead by the star rating of these hotels. In the future, I will only stick to known hotel chains and never again venture with these packaged deals. If you want 5 star at Sharm, just go to the Four Seasons, where we had a delightful dinner one evening. I haven't seen any other 5 star place in the area.

Hope this helps.

The hotel was first class. The service outstanding and the staff very friendly.

I only have one complaint and that was aircraft noise. The aeroplanes flew over the hotel, morning, afternoon and evening. It was almost like standing at the end of the runway.

Check this out before you book if it bothers you, it totally spoilt my holiday.

The hotel claims that their breakfast is the best in n'aama bay and they are most probably correct. If you are a person who is an early riser then you can have your breakfast as soon as 5:30 am, and for those of us who prefer to stay in bed as long as possible you can still go to breakfast up to 10:30 am.

On arrival at "the Orangerie" which is where the breakfast buffet is served (no more than a 2 or 3 minute walk from any appartement you stay in) you are greated by an extensive array of just about any food you can imagine. This ranges from a large variety of bread/cakes, hams, cheeses, fruit, and fruit juices. There is one chef at the end of the dining room who is constantly cooking pankcakes with the optional addition of a delicious chocolate sauce, and another who will cook you practically anything which involves eggs. You can also have tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.

When you are walking around the hotel you cannot fail to notice that the staff are constantly cleaning; from polishing the marble floor which stretches the entire length of the resort, to cleaning up your dirty plates etc. One thing I must tell you is that the staff are the friendliest people you could meet if you consider that they are working long hours in regular 40degree heat. They will all greet you when you pass them, but not so much as to be 'in your face', they simply say "good morning" or wish you a nice day - I found that all these little things really make a difference to your stay.

The hotel is one of the most perfectly situated of all on n'aama bay, just past "the orangerie" is the beach with it's own bar, BBQ, and activities centre all equiped with equally nice staff. The nightlife is another 3 minute walk from the beach where there are shopping centres, restaurants, bars, local bazaars, and endless numbers of Shisha bars.

The entertainment inside the hotel consists of a daily game of water polo in the hotels large circular pool (fully lifeguarded from dawn till dusk) at 3pm which is led by 1 of 2 crazily funny guys. Straight after this you can choose to play volleyball on the beach which is led by the same person. Both are highly fun to join in....you really have a good laugh taking part. At night in the hotel's outdoor, undercover restaurant "Seagull's" they put on a show starting at 10pm starting with a "Hot Romanzo Duo" who sing for a while, and then followed by 4 ladies and 1 man who do just about every dance under the sun (including tradional belly dancing - not the man for that one you'll be pleased to hear).

Fot the hotel you do not need to bring your own towel for the beach or the bathroom.
