| said: Just back from a 2 week holiday at lido. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in the staff are so kind and can't do enough for you. The hotel has decking that sits out on the sea and we sat out here on the days when we had nothing organised (as the beach doesn't get a lot of breeze). When the sun gets too much you can just walk down the steps into the red sea and go snorkelling it was fabulous, wasn't expecting to see as many fish so close to the hotel. The waiters would bring us water in buckets of ice and once when the ice had melted my partner got up to take the bucket back for more and he was given into trouble by the staff, who told him that he had to relax that was their job.
We were there on a B&B basis and the breakfast was great there was something for everyone from cereal, sausages, eggs, pancakes, fruit and lots more. Think when we go back next year we’ll look into going all-inclusive as we had lunch in the hotel nearly everyday (from the beach bar) and had food in the hotel at night a few times and it was really nice. The buffet lunch and their evening meals are a bit more expensive than other places in namma bay, but the food is really good.
The only thing you can fault this hotel on is for having no evening entertainment but you are close enough to namma bay so you don’t really need it. It really is more a couple’s hotel than a family one anyway. I just enjoyed sitting at the bar at night and soaking up the views over namma bay. It really is the perfect romantic getaway, you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is in a great position, picture in brochure doesnt do it justice. very ,very clean ,rooms very nice television ,safe ,which you dont have to pay for ,fridge .etc, mini bar.
If you book with Thomas Cook always get a sea view. This hotel is very clean, the staff very helpful and friendly, beautiful heated pool on top of hotel fabulous view of the bay.
We stayed in Jan for one week and a couple of nights had entertainment. Lovely terrce to eat your meals and have a quiet drink, this hotel desrves to be more than 4 stars.
We loved this hotel ,as soon as we came home we ve booked for next year ,same time. diidnt want to come home , our weather was good , a little cold later on in evening.
I would not reccommend this hotel for children.

| said: This hotel is excellent - it is located right on Naama Bay beach. It is a small hotel, so it never feels or gets overcrowded. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, with huge variety. I didn't have a single complaint. The only thing I would say was a disadvatage was that there isn't a proper shuttle to and from the airport, unlike the bigger hotels. We were picked up from the airport, but had to arrange a taxi for the way back. This was only a slight inconvenience at the end of a very lovely stay at the Iberotel.

| said: Just got back from a week in Sharm, (1st time) stayed at the Iberotel Lido. It was great, on my next day off I’m going back to the travel agents to sort out the only thing which was wrong,- we didn't book two weeks... but I am now.
The fantastic view you see in the brochure which you don't really expect to get was exactly what we saw out of our balcony but there's a lot more than that... A private section of beach, a private jetty for sunbathing and snorkelling just in case you don't like to get sand on your feet... The dive boats jetty is only two minutes walk away, so if your diving, your there...
Snorkelling was almost as good though with masses of brightly coloured fish everywhere... Not a great deal of coral though, you need to visit Sharks Bay to get that (apparently).
Breakfasts were amazing, the selection was enormous and it all tasted really great... pastries, fruit, cooked breakfasts and cereal as well as banana and freshly squeezed (in front of you) orange juice plus tea/coffee etc... Really good.
Pool was heated, it didn't need to be as the weather was fine but it was and we made the most of it... Jacuzzi was good near the pool and the Steam Room was something else... it is well worth a try no matter how hot it is outside.
Free safe in the room and free internet use just outside reception... Staff were 100% excellent and their tips are well deserved...
Can't comment on food other than breakfast as we eat out.

| said: We have just returned from a 7 night hotel at The Iberotel Lido in Naama Bay. Weather excellent, scorching hot everyday (100 degrees!) and also very warm in the evenings.
The Lido is a small hotel, shaped like a cruise liner docked in Naama Bay. The hotel is ideally positioned, with just a short stroll into Naama. The pool is located on the roof and has stunning views over Naama Bay, Beach towels are provided free of charge and can be changed as many times as you wish. Sunbeds are plentiful, both around the pool and on the beach and you are not cramped like sardines either, there is plenty of room. The brochure pictures of this hotel do not do it any justice what-so-ever.
This is not a hotel for children as there isn't any evening entertaiment or facilites provided for children. Although been in the centre of Naama Bay the hotel itself is very very peaceful, perfect for relaxing a chilling out, both day and night.
Breakfast is buffet style and very basic, catering for all nationalities so mainly continental, though you can ask for fried/boiled eggs and ommlette. A toaster is also provided, and the bread is cut to your liking (thickness) They do also poached eggs that are pre-cooked but please check these first as whilst we were there they were barely lukewarm.
As we only stayed B&B, I cannot comment on dinner, but again I believe this is buffet style and I heard a couple of people complaining that the food was not piping hot.
We has lunch around the pool most days. They serve pizza's and sandwiches etc, or you can get something more substantial like curries and Steak. Food was very nice, but please do not compare back to the standards of the UK as you may be dissapointed. (You have to remember that Egypt is an arab country!)
The rooms were very nice and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful sea view. Safety deposit boxes are provided in the room free of charge (very unusual) and mini bar, which is stocked with Water, Coke, Mars Bars, Orange etc. There is also a hairdryer. An iron and ironing board can also be provided free of charge if requested form either housekeeping or reception.
The hotel operates a system (like most hotels do these days) where any food and drink purchased during the day or evening from the pool bars or the restaurant can be signed for and then paid on checkout at the end of your stay. This prevents tipping everytime which can get expensive, however I did give them all a big tip at the end of the week to show my appreciation and they all worked extremely hard and could not do enough for you.
The attention to detail at this hotel is second to none. House-keeping even make animals etc out of the towels in the room and leave them on your bed.....they are fantastic. They spend hours cleaning each room in every nook and cranny.
This is the first year that the hotel has been offered to the English, and can only be booked through Thomas Cook in the UK, and you will find it in the Thomas Cook Signature Brochure.
I will definately be returning to this hotel, though hope the lager louts don't get hold of it, give us a bad name and then they take it back.
We went Quad Biking in the desert during our stay which I can thoroughly recommend to anyone, this was a fantastic experience, and for those a little unsure, you are able to sit two to a bike, so I let my other half do all the hard work whilst I sat on the back and enjoyed the scenery!!! You do stop along the way to have a drink with the Bedouin Tribes, great experience!!
Snorkelling is a MUST, the fish are amazing, they come right up to you (which probably was a little frigtening at first, but something you do get used to and enjoy) The water is about 28 degrees and crystal clear. Don't forget to pack your underwater camera.
Have a fantastic holiday, I am so jealous!!!
