| said: The only thing going for this hotel is its location, which is fantastic and we had an amazing sea view right next to the beach.
However, the hotel itself lets itself down. The rooms were clean if a little basic. The hotel seems to be in a period of transition, with many apartments having been sold off to individuals so there doesn't seem to have been any investment in the hotel for a few years and there appeared to be a lack of direction. The hotel looks as if its being run into the ground.
The food was pretty poor, not a great selection and the atmosphere in the dining room was just awful, quiet and quite uncomfortable. It wouldn't take much to improve this, a bit of music wouldn't go a miss and some signs next to the food too!
Another annoying thing was the fact you have to pay to use the sun loungers by the pool, even if you are a guest at the hotel! I can see why they may charge other people, given the fact the pool is right by the beach but surely it wouldn't be too hard to allow hotel guests to use the facilities! I have never known such a set up at a hotel before.
Finally, one thing which just summed this hotel up was on the last day. We had a late night flight home and requested the day before if we could pay to have a late check out or to use a room for an hour at the end of the day. This was not possible. They don't even have a shower room so if you have a late flight and your in this hotel then you have no where to freshen up or shower. This was really poor and for a hotel of this size is pretty unacceptable. Left us leaving the hotel with a pretty bad impression.
To summarise, fantastic location, but the hotel itself is lacking direction and looks like its being run into the ground. In desperate need of some investment to upgrade the facilities. When you consider that other hotels in the resort are alot cheaper and have been upgraded significantly its hard to justify the cost of the Royal Beach, even with its great location.

| said: Stayed at this hotel for a weekend break with my friend, the location is excellent, the rooms are so spacious and very clean! The pool area is lovely and the view from our room was gorgeous over looing the sea. We had a wicked time in this hotel but would recommend it to groups of friends or those who dont mind noise throughout the night, if you want a good nights sleep this is not the place, the hotel comes alive of an evening with everybody getting ready to go out with their music on.....the atmosphere was wicked! Great place to meet new people....the bars and clubs were excellent.....BCM nightclub all the way! Cant wait to re book to go back to this hotel....so all those looking to PARTY and just have a mad time this is the place for you!

| said: The hotel apartment was great the view beautiful the position very good and all areas were very clean. The staff were polite but not friendly the first week we were self catering the second week we were all-inclusive what a big mistake.
I agree with everything Audrey above says. We were told at lunchtime the restaurant would be closed at lunch as there was only 5 people in.
The staff said if we went to the door and told them what to cook for lunch they would. We were appalled and asked if we could use the snack bar which we were previously told we couldn’t.
It was marginally better than the dry sandwich we were given one day. We got that fed up we ate out in the day I have never complained about a holiday before the hotel was lovely but the staff and hotel are not set up for all-inclusive it was appalling I would go back but stick to self catering.

| said: As a group of young girls all off for a celebration holiday at the end of our A levels this place was amazing. The hotel was perfect.
Nice and clean (maids came daily) with fantastic staff, especialy max the night receptionist. This hotel is right on the beach,
Perfect location with the strip and bcm square only 30seconds walk from the hotel. You do have to pay €2
for sunbeds around the pool and there is a small fee for a safe (about €15) but its definately a must.
The hotel is right on the beach just like the pictures and the rooms are basic but comfotable.
We were self catered and found it cheeper to eat out every night than to cook ourselves, also its a nice start to an evenings entertainment!
We found some of our favourite places were Alexs bar (there are 3 situated just off the strip the indie bar, the r n b bar and the chill out lounge),the red lion and chaplins.
BCM is simpley an experiance you have to have while you are there however make sure you get your stamp before midnight and claim the free goodies they give out!
This was the best holiday I could have wished for and am going to return next summer to work. The key to this hotel was its location, it is much the same in standard as the other hotels in the area (though probably slightly nicer)but its location is fantastic.
I wouldnt recommend this hotel for families though there were many that were their during our stay. We had 2 rooms on oposite sides of the hotel, half of our group found they had constant noise with music and shouting constantly throughout the night (which we ourselves didnt mind and infact rather enjoyed) yet the other half barely heard a sound day or night.
If you are a young group looking for a holiday full of drunkan memories and fantastic club nights then this is the place to go!
The Royal Beach was fantastic and I shall definitely be returning in the coming years!!

| said: On arrival to the hotel we were all impressed. It was very clean and every one looked to be working hard to keep it that way. We were checked in quickly and our rooms were a nice size. We ended up with rooms round the side of the hotel without a sea view, slightly disappointing. The maid service was of a high quality.
The food was very disappointing, the same thing every day, often it was cold. The dessert choice was good tho.
The staff during the day were polite but quite un helpful!! At night they were horrid. It was as if they did not speak any English and did not want you to bother them!!
We all had money stolen, there was no break in. It was obvious it was an inside job so be warned!!!! When we reported it to the reception they only laughed and told us it was not there problem. The manager was never there.
Entertainment was rubbish but we were so close to the bars and clubs thats not really an issue.
None of us would ever go again and I would discourage any one from going if you do take travellers checks. Do not think that because you have a safe they can't get it. You have been warned!!!!
Last of all as we were all inclusive they had arranged on thje last day that we could get breakfast before it opened before we left for our flight. We had a phone call from reception on our last night confirming this and seeing if we need a wake up call. The next morning there was no wake up call and they refused to let us in for any breakfast, so we ended up having to eat out!!
Overall the worst All Inclusive hotel I have ever been to.

| said: Have just returned from the Royal Beach which is actually part of the Iberostar hotel chain.
The Apartments are of a large size and all have stunning sea views.
This hotel couldn't be any closer to the beach - it's right on the front.
There is a huge pool and a smaller childrens pool with plenty of sunbeds although these are an additional charge of 2 euro.
The food in the restaurant is typical spanish half board buffet style though no where near as good as some other 3* hotels we have stayed in... the food was indeed edible but lacked choice.
We will return to this hotel again but this time on a self catering basis. One more thing.. be warned the hotel is close to BCM and a large square of bars and clubs. We booked through alpharooms.com which I always find to be the cheapest.... Enjoy.!!

| said: We have just come back from staying in the Royal Beach Hotel. It was my Hen do and there were 7 of us. No-body had any complaints at all....oh apart from one who hated the door bells that sounded like a really bad alarm clock!!!
The rooms were well equipped for self catering. The rooms and the hotel were very clean, the maid seem to come in every day to tidy up, make the beds etc.
The pool & pool area was lovely and clean.
For location the hotel was excellent. It was right on the beach so the views were fantastic. For walking to the bars, restaurants etc it was in an brill spot everything was very close by. It was a little noisy at night but I didnt expect anything less as it was full of Stag & Hen Parties.

| said: We booked this hotel in the resort of Magaluf with a little apprehension - given all the stories about Magaluf. What I can say is that we were very pleasantly surprised on this hotel and the resort as a whole.
The hotel is situated right on the beach, is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Magaluf's infamous nightlife - but not too far away if you want to sample some of it.
We stayed half board and found the food to be very good, served buffet style, so you could have as much as you wanted. There were a selection of meats, fish, salads & fresh fruit available at every sitting.
The room we stayed in had great sea views (all rooms have a sea view, I think). It has to be one of the biggest (and cleanest) rooms I have ever stayed in and had a kitchen, separate bedroom, big bathroom and a good-sized lounge (with comfy sofa-beds for a change!).
The hotel staff were excellent and seemed to work tirelessly - from the receptionists, to the kids animation team and pool attendants.
Entertainment was quite low key, with only 2 evening shows in the week we were there. The kids animation team operated 5 days a week though - which was great for us, having a 10 + 8 year old in tow. There is also an adult animation team with a variety of sports and games available - again 5 days per week.
I would definitely visit this hotel again in a couple of years and have not been put off by Magaluf at all.

| said: This hotel is beautiful! But it was basically a bed to stop in!
We were moved here after they over booked the hotel that we were meant to be staying in - a right dump! So we were over the moon to be put in the Royal Beach.
There was eight of us, all girls and basically wanted a good time.
The hotel is actually on the beach which is a bit of a pain because random people use the pool and take over the sun loungers! but the pool was always spotless.
The views over the balcony are amazing and it is literally a 2 second stroll from the strip - heaven!
I'm only giving such low marks on cleanliness because the maid found it very difficult to clean around all of our clothes all over the floor, but she did a good job and was always polite.
Didn't really see much of the staff, but the receptionist was polite and as I said so was the maid.
I'm not even sure if the hotel had entertainment bars and clubs were our entertainment!

| said: Nice place usually a bit of a walk to the rooms. No Parking available so I ended up leaving the hire car on the edge of town. Very clean everything you need.
Great pool. Great views. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby.
Quiet at night as there are no windows that face the road.
We are looking at going back there in Sept 2004. Take Magaluf for what it is,ignore the "herewegoes" then catch a cab to Portal Vells and see a real beach and eat in Es Repos fab fab fish, what is good for the owners of £1m yachts is good enough for me also take a cab to C'an Pedros in Genova and eat the real mallorca.
