| said: We booked our holiday in feb 2005 after reading such excellent reviews on here. We decided to book the hotel and flights seperatly (saves a lot of monney!!)our first choice had been to stay in the marina barracuda but the rooms were taken so we decided that we would have to stay in the Hotel Pax.
We had looked at photos of the pax and and it seemed nice but not as big as the barracuda and in our run up to going I was a bit unsure what to expect from this hotel as it was the barracuda we thought best.
I will now tell you we were so happy that we stayed at the pax. It is smaller than the barracuda and and the pool doesn't get as busy!
THE HOTEL - large resturant with seperate kids buffet and also a type of carvery and service drinks machine, bar area also big plenty of seating. Two lifts that can somtimes have minds of there own but were never out of service whilst there. Rooms are lovely decorated we had room 508 it is a sea and pool view room also a family room which even with 4 beds in it was still very big. Bathroom also nice and big with hairdryer and soaps suplied.
There is a kettle/tv also in the room and plenty of power points. Big sliding windows and door on to the balcony which when you will see what a fantastic view can be seen from there! Because we were on the 5th floor looking down was a bit worring and wouldn't let the kids on there without an adult.
Take lots coat hangers as you only get about 7 and a small 3 drawer chest which can be hard trying to fit 2 weeks worth of clothes for 4 people! Anyway the entrance to the pax makes you think your staying in a 4* hotel and if I'm honest i think it should be!
FOOD AND DRINK- bars open at ten in the morning where you can get self service water good tip when going to the beach fill your water bottel up at the hotel as it costs a fortune on the beach and the staff don't mind either. The food bar is good serving baguettes, sandwhiches, salads, burgers, chips and hotdogs which is ideal if your like use and can't always be botherd to get up and sit in the main resturant.
Please note the food bar closes at 6pm and the resturant closes just before 9pm after that you can't get anything else to eat in the hotel so make sure you have a lots to eat! haha! The bar closes at 11pm but we just got a few more and sat on the balcony when the entertanment was finished.
There is also about 5 vending machines with chocalate, crisps and sweets but we would say go to the little shop just outside as you will get more for your euros there!
ENTERTAINMENT-well this is what i had though about because some views on here say it was "ok" we found the shows that where brought in were fantastic ranging from lots of different things. Mini disco for kids at 8.30pm then followed by BINGO yes they play bingo and if you win like our son did you get a bottles of champers, like we did! HAHA!
In house entertainment was also excellent and a very BIG thankyou to sally, steph and ben they worked ther butts off whilst we were there. They start activitys during the day about 10am with adult and kids activities ranging from football, water polo, shooting and ball games for the adults and giant connect 4, ball games and crazy golf for the kids and they are so friendly we even got sally to come to the water park with us!
Which was a great day and lots of fun.
There is a mini arcade area with 2 pool tables most these want about 2 euros to play them.
STAFF- what can I say polite, friendly and exceptional all of them from the maids who are still cleaning at night to the bar staff and also on reception.
POOLS- two big pools two kids pools on both sides of the hotel.
Little tip if you go to the pool at the back of the hotel go on to the first floor and by the stairs you will see a fire exit it takes you straight on to the pool and saves going the long way round.
Both pools have life guards watching allday and don't leave untill the the last person leaves the pool. Water checks done very often early in the morning. Front pool has toilets that are very clean!
Well I hope this review leaves you thinking that it sounds like a very good hotel as this is what it is. The ten of us had a really good time in the hotel and also out in Magaluf. You really are only a 5min walk into the main bit which is also good!
We can't wait for our next trip back! It really has been a fantastic holiday and I'm sure like others on here you will think so too!!!
The best holiday for kids ours really enjoyed it and we didn't even here them say they were bored which is a first.
Another big thankyou to marina hotels and also to our new friend sally !

| said: I go to Magaluff 3 x a year, and this the best hotel for food quality i've known, non repetitive.
Snack bar making you fresh, burgers, chips, hot dogs, chicken burgers, chicken nuggets, toasties, etc etc.
Drink its the same as all all inclusives, but not that strick on the 2 drinks per person rule, and no questions at the bars
Pool areas clean tidy, lots of sun loungers and pool bars, always open when the sun is out.
Entertainment, pretty good but could be better, i.e bingo at 9.30 every night it was fun, but just one game full house and win wine!!!!
But they have the nomal rep shows, and dancers / comedians / parrot shows etc.
Rooms, wow what a view, 50/50 chance of getting a sea view I did I was happy.
Clean and tidy maid service, locks on doors windows worked, shower lovely, hairdryer in bath room, tv on wall worked, air con worked, could not ask for more, they even had to many coat hangers.
Activities, football court, tennis, crazy golf, darts pool, tabel tennis, and arranged games by staff.
The guys who did the entertainment were great (not good at football lol)
The hotel is 1 min walk to beach, a few local shops 1 min away, cash point 1 min away, 15 mins to pirates, 25 to water parks and go karts, 10 mins to bcm square (20 back if drunk) taxi at night 6 euro from main strip.
Taxi to airport 30 euro approx.

| said: Just got back from the Marina Pax hotel. Had a fantastic time.
Food was great, plenty to chose from, although by the end of the week we saw a lot of the same.
There was brilliant entertainment, started with kids disco then bingo or quiz then there was a group singing or reps doing silly things or karaoke. There was something every night.
There are two great pools. One which is more where adults go and one where families with kids go. Pool bar was good, plus snack bar, so when the restaurant was shut you could still get something to eat.
Rooms were cleaned every day and there were cleaners around the hotel all the time.
Quite a walk into Magaluf night life but does you good to walk back when you've had a few drinks.
Air conditioning was heaven as it was so hot at nights in room with a few sky channels so was English TV.
Hair dryer in bathroom.
Over all, can’t fault anything, was a fantastic holiday.
Will definitely visit this hotel again. Loved it.
