| said: My daughter and stayed for a week in Atlantis Los Barqueros Apartments in Correlejo, Fuerteventura.
There was no reception area as stated in the description when we booked,and we had to book in and register across the road at Duna Park Hotel.
The apartments would not be suitable for disabled people as there are many steps and rough paths to negotiate especially if you have a top floor apartment, and even with a terrace apartment you would have to walk a long way round to the pool, exiting from the front door, as terrace doors will not lock from the outside.
The rooms were very basic and not particularly clean, although towels were changed daily and the sheets changed halfway through the week. There were no cockroaches, just a couple of mosquitos.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the apartments well situated for beach, shops and restaurants. Security could be a problem. Our passports were taken from us when we arrived, and when we collected them the next day they were not in a wall safe but just on the reception desk in a pigeon hole.
Also our front door lock was loose so we wedged a chair under the door knob at night, and hoped for the best when we were out during the day. The electrician came within half an hour when we had no hot water, but we waited two days to get cups!

| said: These apartments are great if your looking for basic, no frills accommadation. I would not recommend them if you are expecting luxury or anything more than basic.
They are centrally located, just a stone's throw away from places to eat and bars and the beach. 5-10 min walk to the water park. There are 3 supermarkets by these apartments, two across the road and one by the main entrance.
The apartments were cleaned every day. Fresh towels left every day. The kitchen area was ok. Had kettle, toaster, microwave and hobs. The bathroom was a very basic and a little bit run down, needed a re-fit really, but was cleaned every day.
The apartments were very spacious with good sized bedrooms.
The problems we had were cockroaches. They would enter the apartment, either die straightaway or be stunned. I think as the floors were cleaned everyday the cleaners must have used some sort of chemical on to kill them. The terrace doors also needed care and attention and a lick of paint, but it did not bother us too much. If you have a ground floor terrace and want to go by the pool you either have to go out of your apartment by the front door, walk all the way around to the main entrance and enter the pool area that way or go out of your terrace doors which you cannot close or lock from the outside and leave them open to gain access back into your apartment.
The grounds and pool area were ok. No pool bar tho.
The other problem was noise. Our apartment was located on the main road. We were woken up at 7am every morning by a road sweeper and traffic. At night the bars on the main road play loud music but this stops at 12pm. We experienced noise from the apartment above us too, the apartments arent very sound proof.
The staff in the main hotel were very friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for cheap, basic accommadation then these will be fine. We wont stay there again as it was very basic.
