| said: hotel was very clean, I have never had to pay for a safety deposit box this was not a deposit but 30 euro for the 2 week, people say it is the coldest island of the canarys but i would say it is as warm as lanzarote if not warmer, specially when the wind drops, we only had 3 cock roaches 2 where dead and had to chase one round the bathroom before catching it and getting rid!! hotel breakfast was excellent except one day found something strange in the mushrooms, as per other coments the resort is smaller and quieter than we imagined, but the thomas cook reps made up for all that, what a great team, the trips where well sold although they didn't mention you had to walk to other hotels for transport, or walk there 15 mins uphill, the entertainment team where excellent all worked there hardest allday, if you plan to hire a car and have kids take a booster seat in your case at 5 euros a day it works out dear for the seat otherwise car hire from resort is the cheapest we found we are planning to go back later this season as the entertainment/reps are sooooo good,

| said: Just got back from Broncemar Beach. travelled with wife and kids (aged 16 + 18).
We also went last year and to be fair the reason I did not review last year is a bit selfish.
Had apartments 247 + 248, clean rooms with no wild life in either.
The shower taps burst on Sunday afternoon, phoned reception handyman there within 5 minutes and within the hour brand new taps fitted.
I have seen mention that there was maintenance/building work taking place, but you must consider this is open 12 months a year and with 400 odd apartments to look after I would rather have some work going on than shabby buildings. My parents live in Cyprus and the sun just wrecks concrete and that type of construction requires plenty of TLC.
There are 2 pools which work out at one lively and one quiet and I heard no complaints about the poolside music.
The sun loungers (of which there are plenty and mentioned by everybody else) do need some TLC in the very near future but despite their looks when you lie down they are comfy, they just don’t look it.
The soft drinks 2 euro small 3 euro big and the beer is 3 euro.
The price in the surrounding bars is 2.50 but you can work the happy hours 2 for 1 during early evening. (they do not pay duty on drinks like us so it is a puzzle why drinks are so expensive)
Thomas Cook Entertainers were on change over from winter to summer so first part of week Chris, Frosty, Kez and Kylie and the second part of week was Jonny, Adam, Kylie, Kayleigh and Vicky.
Both sets were fantastic! Jonny’s crew probably edged it. He has more experience and had the new entertainers mixing very quickly with us guests. The evening shows (we didn’t watch many last year) are good fun. Most of the entertainers have excellent voices and are good dancers, the shows aren’t childrens shows but are family based and even my kids at 16 + 18 enjoyed them, although some people might find them not to their taste.
If you want entertainment through the day and evening without the need for much thought, it is all planned for you and it would be hard to find somewhere better.
Top place to eat Fado’s Rock about 10/13 euro for a steak/lamb/chicken and is fantastic.
Top Tips
1. If you want cheap beer during day, buy it at the supermarket and drink using the plastic pool side glasses from the bar.
2. If you want to get the most of this place and want to really enjoy it, take part in everything, after a few days every one knows everyone else and it makes the holiday more fun. (Even the miserable ones concede this by the end of the week)
3. Have at least one meal at Fado Rock (not the Portugese version)
Complaints.
Only one really, with the exchange being so poor it makes drinks in at the complex quite expensive. With a little more imagination and some basic economics on pricing they could retain more people in the evening.
If you read all this well done!!
The reason I did not review it last year was I wanted to make sure there was a place for me this year.

The accommodation was ok, it was a case of hunt the sunlounger that wasn't broken..We were half board, there was hardly any choice, if you were vegetarian you would have real trouble finding something to eat unless you like chips...chips.........chips.The entertainment was ok, watching bingo and ball 13 was quite tedious. There was only only one cock roach that i saw in the whole holiday. The hot water was a put off, it would run through orange at times!

| said: Was a little worried about this hotel going by other reports. I CAN ASSURE YOU THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
ACCOMMODATION: double bedroom, bathroom, open plan kitchen/living area.massive Balcony 12 ft x 8ft
CLEANINESS: maid comes every day except Tuesdays and Fridays. Took our own towels (as advised)
but plentiful supply of towels. Hangers always take these as never enough but more than adequete were provided.
POOL: agree that sun loungers need renewed most broken
POOL AREA: clean but with several broken tiles.
POOL BAR: very expensive 11 Euros for a Magners and a bud, prices seemed ok for food but never tasted the quality.
SUPERMARKET: could buy anything there and prices but significantly dearer than local shops.
STAFF: always friendly. (Hi to Claire and Lee)
OVERALL: Excellant holiday (resort could be a lot bigger)but Turkey is a lot dearer.
PS Watch out for the timeshare reps and trips are v v Expensive.

| said: Broncemar Beach Hotel in all fairness is not a bad place to stay.
We were a bit worried because of some of the bad reports we had read prior to arriving. We stayed in room 152 which on the whole was very spacious, clean and suitably furnished.
The pool area was tidy and I think accomodated everyone with regards to food, drink, music and entertainment. I totally agree about the sun loungers pityful in all respects.
We were self catering but did sample a couple on meals from the snackbar menu and you got what you paid for (the salads I thought were the best deal).
On the whole if you want 4star accomodation but are only prepared to pay 3 star prices then pay the extra money or live with your choice, personnally we nearly upgraded @ a cost of £400, but I'm glad we didn't because it was okay it was a stroll to the main centre and it was somewhere to lay our heads.

| said: we stayed for 2 weeks in room 169 and we found this hotel to be very good for the price we paid.
the room was big enough for us you had2 single beds in bed room and 2 sofa beds in living room, kitchen well equipped kettle/toater/microwave and 2 hob rings enough cutley and plates for ya the only thing is make sure you pack tea-towels as you will need them.
bathroom had bath with over bath shower but some times not enough pressure to shower ya self so had to take it of wall and hold it make sure you dont take a shower between 8/9 ish in mornin as not pressure at all as they fillin pool.
we only had 4 cockroaches which was in the first few days and only in bathroom, althou the rep did tell us a trick to stop ya gettin them was to leave light on as the only come out in dark, when ya get ya room key its a card and it works ya electric as well as ya door lock but it doesnt there is a switch in side the electric slot the just need to be push to turn it on so the rep told us to just slide a bit of card in so it leaves ya lights on as when ya take the card out ya lights go off , just use a bit of card like the back of a fag packet and slot in it but make sure its big enough to take out when ya leave make it the size of ya card key and it will work. ( it does work as we did it ) so no more cockroaches for the rest of our holiday.
hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull, we had a couple of problems ( safe not workin/ toilet not flushin) which was delt with straight away, the handyman there called alexandra is a very nice bloke he always had a smile and ola for ya he always stopped to chat with my husband which always made me smile wathing them tryin to comunicate as he couldnt speak english but a very nice bloke.
bar staff very friendly as well always made you fell welcome, we only ate a the pool bar once as didnt like the food much and thought it was a bit exspensive you could pay a couple of euros more and get a better meal in town.
the supermarket on site was ok if ya dont wanna go to netto theres not much difference in price anyway.
the enterainment was brillant you had daytime stuff which was water arobics, water polo , water valleyball, killer darks killer pool quizzes football and other ganes. the evenin entertainment was kids disco, bingo, quizzes and a show at the end of the night.and my son always got up to do the end of the nbight dance with the reps which was fun to watch he new the rotine after a few days.
the entertainmnet staff was amazing always smilin and gettin you to join in they no ya name after a couple of days and always shouted my lot to come and join in ( which the was happy to ), my son had a cruch on abby and ck, and i must say jonny was my favourite he always made me laugh and came over and sat with us for a chat most evening, the most funnyist guy you will ever meet. althou if ya goin next year they will be differnt reps there as most of them said they was movin on to different places and id like to say thanks to them all for a great time and wish them luck in the furture whatever they do.....xxxx
my daughter only went to there club once as she found it very borin as in her words was to babyish for her, she found the entertainment round the pool better.
we did a few trips with the reps, water park my lot loved this , lanzorte tour was very bored you spend most of the time on coach and we didnt get a lot of time at the site either and the meal ya get was horrible my daughter ended up eatin dryed bread ( didnt ave any butter )as there was nothing else she would eat wasnt worth the price we payed and it was the dearest very dissipointi, the reps night out was amazin the best ever you get a few acts to watch then the reps show which you just laugh all the way through very funny well worth the money and the meal ya get was lovley as well. did the oasis park that was good as well the sea loin show was great also walkin round seein the amimals ya also get a camel ride which is fun ya go up a mountain then down was fun to do worth the money.
the beach is a bit further than ya think it takes a good 15 mins walk there as its down hill on a slope but a good 20 mins back when ya tired and hot from the sun.
now the weather well we got caught out big time is very desevenin you ave clouds till about 12 ish then the sun burns them away and theres not a cloud in the sky be carefull thou as we started of with factor 30 suncream and still got burnt so ended up with factor 50+ and we still came home with a tan althou the rep did say we had a bit of a heat wave while we was there the breeze ya get cools ya down so ya think ya not gettin burnt but you are. but the weather was really good i would go back just for that alone. we went to the beach to feed the chipmonks ( there not on the mountain anymore ) got some lovley pics of my lot feedin them , you ave to sit still for 10 mins or so then they come out if ya go up past the harbour and walk a bit further to the rocks they live there now.
you are very close to airport so ya can see the planes comin in to land some people dont like it coz of the noise but it didnt bother us we didnt think it was loud at all think ya get used to it but it didnt spoil our holiday.
the bar is open till 3am and you do get a bit of noise from that but again didnt bother us didnt keep us awake.
all in all a fab holiday would go back to this hotel but only if we could move it to a different resort as this one was to quite for us.

| said: Broncemar Beach excellant for childrens needs.Kidsworld staff excelled in childcare especially one-to-one of my special needs child!!!Sunbeds ropey, rooms very basic with little or no working amenities.Thomas Cook staff very obliging and work extremely hard to entertain the holidaymakers.On-site pool bar and supermarket very pricey cheaper in high street but very convenient for the fat and lazy.Pool area very slippery witnessed many mishaps.Childrens pool a nice size and reasonable depth for kids.Apartments spacious but ours was opposite the pool bar so no quietness until at least 12.00 midnight unless the sound system breaks down as it did on one blissful night! No air con in rooms very hot.Not very safety conscious set-up in relation to where the kids can sleep away from parents other side of apartment.Has on-site washing machines and one tumble dryer but beware if like me you start your wash and it finishes in the half hour before your return beware your washing will be removed onto a dirty floor!!!!!Or thieved.Only costs 3euros 50cents free powder from reception.Off pool their is a small soft play room for under 6 year olds but nobody took notice of this rule. Also everybody ignored the signs not to reserved sunbeds many were bagged as early as 7am especially around the kiddies pool.Maid service I found excellant no complaints but no matter how much they sweept the floors were still ingrained with dirt and ones feet got filthy.Cracked tiles around pool area plus drain covers all broken and off and pool grills loose around pool children frequently pulling grilles away.On last day of our stay somebody actually contaminated the pool yet it took a few complaints before the pool was quickly evacuated due to the poo floating into the jacuzzi and the activity pool and subsequently the pool was thoughourly cleaned.Surronding beaches scrap stay around pool and relax.Gambrini's the recommended eat place for the Broncemar is pricey compared to others. The Golden Rule to remember is if eating outdoors avoid the front of the restaurant do not order meat and the Spanish flies will not swarm you as in Fado Rock. The resort Broncemar Beach is in is very isolated from other towns and one wpuld need a car to investigate the island as there is not much food choice in this part very much the same menu in all.

The Maid Came In Every other day and provided us with clean sheets and cleaned the whole apartment. Also They Were Friendly.
The Hotel Food . Well we didnt eat there ,but from out past years it has been ok. The pool Bar Food is Very Nice For Something To Snack On. And There Was One Moody Waiteress But There Was One Really nice and Friendly Waiter called Wan and he made you feel welcome throughout our 2 weeks.
Also The Reps Were Helpfull And Would Recomend Places to Vist . So we did . we decided to go to lanzorote for a day. It was Fantastic. !
The Entertainment Was Very Good. Also Throughout The Day There Was Plenty Of Activites Going On untill 4:30 i think . so when most of people our leaving the pool side.
On The First Week we stayed we didnt have to reserve any sunbeds but in the secend week the hotel became very busy so i started to go down at 9 every morning in the secend we to reserve them.
So Next Year We Are Going To Go There again, Because we like it there and everypne is so friendly.

| said: First of all, apartments are 3* plus, but we think this is too highly rated. In our opinion, more like a 2* plus.
The location of the apartments are ideal, they are close to the numerous bars, shops and restaurants, and a short stroll away from the beach. Also very near the airport, which wasn't a problem for us as the kids enjoyed watching the planes come in to land.
Although the rooms were clean, and were cleaned almost every day we were there, on our first day, the toilet wouldn't flush and the mixer tap on shower was broke. However these problems were rectified almost immediately after we reported them so can't complain about that.
Towels were changed 3 times and sheets once during our 1 wk stay.
Also found the rooms to be on the small side for 4 people, with only a 2 ring hob, 3 chairs at the dining table, 1 wardrobe and 10 hangers to go around! Make sure you pack some hangers.
Staff were ok, but found 2 of the bar staff to be grumpy and a little rude.
Entertainment during day was killer pool, card bingo, quizes, football etc. At night, kids disco, bingo, then entertainment staff would put on a show. All in all, good fun. Am still singing "Hold your Head" haha!
Ate a couple of snacks here and thought it was alright, cooked to order and hot. Wouldn't recommend the barbeque or paella though.
Pools were clean but very cold, even the so called heated pool. Sunbeds however were in a bad state, most of them are broke underneath so you can't sit upright. Didn't have a problem getting a sunbed, even at lunchtime as there were plenty of them.
The "Fuerte Night" is a great night out with food and drink included. Show starts at 9.30pm with an amazing double act, then it's the reps turn to entertain and finally a group of motown singers. Not to be missed.
Can also recommend the following for eating out. Paprika, which mainly serves snacks. Caffe Nero makes a fantastic pizza and great pancakes. Lins Cafe serves lovely fresh hot food. Well worth a visit.
Also buy your cigs here and not on the plane as they were only 19 euros (£13) for 200. £18 on the plane.
Although we had a good time here, we wouldn't stay here again, only because the rooms were too small for our liking. We prefer a 2 bedroom apartment and Broncemar Beach only has 1 bedroom apartments.

| said: This hotel makes a good base for an holiday. There is room for improvement ie the sunbeds are in a bad state and pool area could be cleaner, but on the whole it was ok for the price we paid.
Our room was fine but there is no grill or oven if you wish to cook a proper meal, a bit puzzled to why on site super market sold frozen pizza and chips no where to cook them.
Maid service was good, if I needed clean sheets I asked and changed them myself, hubby don't like being all tucked in so it suited us. We had clean sheets 5 times in 2 weeks. The towels are a bit tatty but clean, again changed loads.
Entertainment team were great, put on some good shows, Aladdin, and yellow brick road are not to be missed, great for kids with an adult twist.
Planes didn't bother us if you use a plane to get there yourself can't really complain about others doing the same, 3yr old thought it was great.
Hotel is close to main precinct but it is further than 300m from beach but a pleasant walk.
Didn't have much contact with staff maid was great, reception fine apart from older woman not pleasant, pool bar waiter bit strange and stroppy, but didn't bother us.
Oasis park was fab but cheaper to hire car for 3 days and take yourself rather than go on excursion. We used Tropical cars with no problems and cheaper than Avis and Hertz.
We would stay there again because it was a good base and had a good atmosphere for families, if you don't have kids I would consider some where else it is a family orientated hotel.

Location was great easy for everything staff at pool bar were very rude after reading other reviews I won't take it personally we stood waiting to be served for 15 Min's or more while the short Spanish guy messed about.
Chris & Neil in the Tavern bar were cracking blokes & we had loads of fun in there sung so much our voices went!
The Thomas Cook entertainment staff were fantastic I have not laughed so much for ages those guys work so hard such long hours Linda, Ollie, Jenna and Richie Thanks.
The reps were always around to answer everything they were always interested in your day my daughter attended the Kidz club and loved it I felt safe leaving her the girls are so kind and good with them.
I would stay again but would not put up with staff rudeness.
Although the Entertainment made it and sadly this group leaves in March Ollie was such an unlikely person to do the entertainment but all ages adored him he's such a nice genuine lad.

| said: We have just returned from a one week stay at the Broncemar. We found that the hotel was very clean and most of the staff were friendly.
The good points we thought were the cleanliness (rooms were cleaned every day apart from Tues & Friday)
All the floors were clean and mopped regularly. NO cockroaches in the rooms. There is a bar in the hotel can't remember the name of it but it was near the arcade, this was the only entertainment in the whole resort we could find (probably because it was Winter season) and then there is the entertainment room with the stage. The entertainment room was large and nightly entertainment was provided by the Thomas Cook team who we thought were fantastic.
The bad points we thought were... the bathroom was getting ready for a refurb, the shower curtain kept falling down and the shower was useless, the towels were horrible luckilly we brought our own. The entertainment room was very smokey at night and it was difficult to open a door to get some ventilation in as some people complained of the cold so if you don't like sitting in a room full of smokey air then avoid. There was no no-smoking areas anywhere!!
Lastly the arcade for the kids was a right rip-off, lost some money trying to pay pool gave up in the end!!

At Broncemar beach the hotel food was fantasic, with many different variaties of food suitable for everyone.
Normally in hotels we find that the food is normally the same nearly every night. But at Broncemar beach the food was very varied and nicely decorated.
All of the buffet staff were extremly friendly, kind and helpful (Juan we love you!!) At Christmas all of the buffet staff made a huge effort by making everyone feel welcome.
The hotel's entertainment was enjoyable, children wanted to go every night to play bingo and to listen to music. one night they even bought reptiles for children to hold! bar staff were also very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The location of Broncemar beach was very suitable for us, with supermarkets and bars situated in the complex.
Altough we prefer the beaches at Correjo and Jandia we where able to get to these beaches by hiring cars.
The hotel was very clean. Maids came mostly everyday and were always smiley.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, there was always some-one sweeping up, and emptying the bins, the floors were all regulary washed and we never saw any litter strewn around any of the hotel.
Our room was excellent aswell, and the reception staff would rectify any problems within an hour, which we found fantastic.
We ate out every evening and found the food to be excellent value for money, and the childrens meals were nearly as large as the adults portions.
The location of the hotel was brilliant, not to far from the beach or the local town centre, and if you hired a car it was easy to get to other areas on the island.
We found the staff very friendly and they always made us feel very welcome.
The entertainment was with Thomas Cook and what entertainment that was, we have never laughed so much, or participated in so many activities. They were always cheerful and happy to talk to you.
I would definitely visit again, in fact we are going back again next year.

When we arrived we were given a ground floor apartment - room number I can't remember, but was away from the pool area, so was thinking it would be a lot quiter, which clearly wasn't the case at least two/three nights we were woken up around 1ish by people being really noisy and one night we were woken to a woman screaming "Help" and was left wondering what an earth was going on! We then tried to call recepetion and couldn't get through for about half an hour and was later informed she had been rushed to hospital. Nothing more was said when we asked the rep, she didn't really want to say too muc to us. I later found out from a few others that she had woken up to find someone in her bedroom helping themselves to her belongings! Me and my mum were really worried and luckily this happened on our last night at the hotel and would definately never go back.

| said: We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in August (sorry, only just got round to posting) and I have to say we were very disappointed.
We also stayed here last year and the standards have nosedived. The rooms are pretty well equipped with a kettle, microwave etc, and the standard of furniture is good. However, the level of cleanliness is appalling.
The rooms were cleaned about twice a week, linen once, towels changed about twice a week. But we had to ring the reception several times for towels which were taken but not replaced, sheets for the children which were not replaced. Floors were left unswept.
The outside patio area was not swept or mopped for the whole two weeks, and by the end of the holiday it was filthy, and there is no equipment for you to do it yourself.
The small outdoor bins outside each room were constantly overflowing and left so, which may account for the amount of cockroaches. In fairness, we only had 1 but a family we spoke to had been overrun with them. But it was round the pool which was the most disgusting. Lots of tiles were broken and cracked which accuimulated dirt, and you could very easily trip up.
Pools of water were left to go stagnant. The tiles themselves were filthy, and the tiles around the pool were only cleaned at the most twice a week. With the number of people this hotel accommodates, this should be done every night.
If you were not at the pool for 8.00 latest, forget a sunbed - they were all reserved with towels. This was very annoying as on a couple of occasions we saw people appearing at 2.00pm to sit on the sunbeds they had reserved - when families were sitting at the pool bar because there were no sunbeds left.
On one day we saw a very heated argument between a family and a couple, where the family had taken off the towels and used the sunbeds. Families with teenage daughters - beware.
The creepy guy at the pool bar will chat your teenage daughters up blatantly, give her free drinks etc. We were sat only a table away when we could hear him asking her her name, how old she was, and then procedded to bring over a free Smirnoff Ice for her. He knew that we were her parents, but didn't care. What a letch!!! Please keep your teenage daughters in your sights!
Overall, this has the potential to be a very good base to stay, it has a fantastic location just a minute's walk from the centre, the entertainment provided by the Thomas Cook team was fantastic, but it is the cleanliness that let it down severely. We would not return to this hotel.

The entertainment was great, very nice team who tried to sweep up everyone, which worked !! Our 2year old daughter is still talking about "the dancing girls", she became a real fan !
The hotel-staff was friendly and so were the other guests.

| said: Hi I stayed here between 26th July and the 9th august 2006.
we were in room 108 (which was behind the keg bar that didn’t close until 3am which sometimes can be noisy)
Good points:
The quiz at the pool side was good (The prize is a horrible jug of sangria! Most of the staff were nice (apart from the miserable waiter in the pool bar!)
The food was nice (its a lot better in the pool bar, buffet is ok but nothing special!)
All guest at the resort where all ok, Mixture of people, its mainly a family holiday although there’s not much for children too do, apart from playing in the pool or attending the kids club, they have got a little arcade there (but its a bit of a rip off really)and the pool tables - your lucky if you get 2 balls out for a Euro!!!!!
Bad points:
there were many cracked tiles around the pool,
whilst there, there were six cases of people being broke into one case involved a knife (but where never informed by the reps or staff, lucky the guest it happen to were very thoughtful to advise everyone what had happen, (so make sure you leave all doors & windows locked it mainly happen near the very small park.) One of the waiters who works behind the pool bar is so rude it is unreal!
There were cockroaches but to be fair that is a common thing out there and in most hot countries, mainly around the toilet area and near the pool). The women working in the shop the blond one would leave you standing at the till for sometimes about 15 mins and I am not joking there be a massive queue and she still leave you standing)
There is a horrible smell of sewage through out the resort, and the toilets near the pool tables, gets really slippery throughout the day.
A couple of guest went on the oasis trip, & said it’s a rip off, the shows were good, but not worth the money they paid.
Don’t get me wrong we had a good holiday but two weeks is too much as there’s very little to do on the island;
we met loads of nice people there and did have fun. Don’t let me put you off, but it is more of a kids holiday not a couples under there 30's, unless you like lying by the pool for 2 weeks all day!

| said: Stayed at the Broncemar in July 06 with family.
Rooms were clean with housekeeping visiting every other day with clean towels if required. Only found one cockroach in the room but it wasn't alive but did hear others mention that they had some.
The pool was good but very slippery and everyone seemed to "reserve" their beds before 8.30 even though it says not to do so, so you will need to be quick. The only worry is there is no life guard.
The pool bar served snacks which were okay but can't comment on the buffet as we did not use this. The location of the hotel was okay but if you are in rooms 101 to 130ish you may be kept awake by the karaoke bar "The Keg" but after a few nights you do become used to the noise.
Hotel staff were quite friendly except for one lady in the supermarket who decided to stack the shelves and leave customers waiting for ages, on one occasion I walked out.
Entertainment was provided by Thomas Cook who offered a good variety with quizzes, pool and water polo during the day and kids entertainment, bingo and various themed shows at night. Overall the entertainment was good and the reps welcomed everyone who wished to take part.
Just a word on the evening bar. Prices were okay but if you were served by the waiter service there seemed to be an extra charge so my advice would be to fetch the drinks yourself.
We would visit the hotel again but want to try other resorts first.

Plus points:-
Good location, nicely set out complex, great pools, friendly staff and decent size apartments.
Negative points:-
Poor entertainment provided by Thomas Cook (no professional shows and so fairly amatuer all round). Food in buffet restaurant left standing a long time and so cold (not that busy whilst we were there which may explain this).
All round, a good central base to stay.

We never ate at the hotel but we heatd no complaints from fellow tourists. As we were self catering we found the resturants surronding the hotel great.
The hotel staff were great especially the waiters in the bar. we found one of the shop workers arragant (blonde one) but the one with the brown hair was fantastic and very friendly.
The entertaiment was great for everyone. Adam was hilarious. And we did tick excellent!
I would definatley visit this hotel again anytime we really enjoyed it!!!!

| said: We stayed in the Broncemar beach in Feb as we were out property hunting and it was an ideal area to cover the whole island.
We new where this complex was as we've visited the island for the past 15 years. The location is good slap bang in the centre of Caleta, yes there is a road next to it but that didn't bother us neither did the planes comming into land. The broncemar is directly under the flight path for the airport which is only 15-20 minutes drive away.
First impressions were quite impressive a large reception area clean spacious and bright. The receptionist on duty was very nice and appreciated you trying the spanish, although a couple of days later we met another receptionist who was so impolite it was beyond belief.
We stayed in the alemana section and our room was damp and a little on the grotty side im glad we weren't cooking anything in there, bearing that in mind they had just had one of wettest winters in years and it was early year.
The pool area was ok although we did'nt swim it was'nt quite warm enough, we found the pool area quite cean and plenty of beds but this was February.
The bar staff were a good laugh although we did'nt join in the entertainment the bar staff kept us amused.
The entertainment was laid on by Thomas Cook although it was ok after the first week it could have been a bit repetative.
Would I stay here again yes it served its purpose as an ideal base.

| said: We stayed at the Broncemar Beach. A dual carriageway run alongside our apartment (Room 320). As we were only there for one week and not intending to spend much time inside we did not consider this a problem - thank goodness I took my earplugs as the traffic continued to flow until the early hours of the night.
The apartment was a good size with a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, which I had to defrost before using it - couldn't get the ice cube tray in otherwise. The towels were below standard and there was dust and cobwebs under the furniture. The veneer on some of the furniture was coming off and there were damp patches in the bedroom. The cleaners obviously only did the bare necessities - our linen was changed the day before we left!
The pool area needed a good clean too. The sunbeds were grubby and a lot of them were broken. If more attention is not paid to the maintenance of this hotel I do not think it will warrant a grading of three stars.
We did not eat at the hotel but heard that when the food was served it was only warm.
The location of the hotel is good. It is near the centre and within easy walking distance of the beach.
We did not have much contact with the staff apart from a cleaner who asked if we wanted her to change the bed and mop the floor - yes please!

| said: We have just returned from the Broncemar Beach hotel having spent a week there over new year. The room was dark and damp, with mould all around the bath. Although cleaned every other day, there was dust covering the floor and doors/kitchen units were dirty.
The hotel is situated on the flight path into Fuerteventura and low level aircraft noise was deafening all day, although between the hours of 11pm and 7am there were no flights. We had to move rooms after 2 nights due to the loutish behaviour of some residents as our room was above the on site pub which was open until 3am. Staff were helpful in this regard and offered us a choice of alternative rooms.
The hotel is not in our opinion worthy of its 3.5 star rating, more like 2 star.

| said: We have just returned from this hotel having stayed there over xmas.
It is an excellent hotel and was recommended by our local travel agents who have stayed there theirselves.
It is in an excellent position close to the airport taxi transfer is only 8 euros or bus every half hour is 1 euro.
The rooms are very large and well equiped with all you need maids come in every other day but if you need anything they are very helpfull we had extra towels with no fuss.
There are three good pools and entertainment day and evening the only critisism been the entertainments bar it is set out rather strange been long and narrow with the stage in the middle so not very good views at the sides, but the entertainments team work very hard to have everyone join in.
There is also a pub bar on site with large screen telly and karaoke. Even with this we did not hear any noise in the rooms we had.
The buffet restaurant looked good although we did not try this. We would definately visit this hotel again.

| said: We had lovely wheather while we were there. The location of the hotel is great not far from the beach and shops.
The hotel however was not the best that we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of hotels. The pool side looked like it had not been cleaned for ages. If you took your shoes off your feet would be black. We had a lot of cockroaches in the room. My son was only 6 months old and I needed a clean kitchen to prepare his bottles. We arrived back one night and the kitchen was full of cockroaches on the kitchen worktop. I asked the reception for some bleach or something like that to clean. They said a cleaner would be there soon. We waited all day. In end after speaking to the rep several times. I walked to the nearest supermarket and bought the bleach and clothes myself. I just got the feeling that the staff just couldnt be bothered. On our last day we had to stay out of our room all day because the cockroach problem had got that bad they had men in to fumicate the sewerage pipes and the smell of the chemical used was horrible.
The pool was not cleaned on a daily basis either there were all black bits floating in the water. I think that was the dirt off peoples feet because around the pool was never cleaned.
We had a good holiday because we tried not to spend time at the hotel because it was dirty. The reception looks clean but when you stay there two weeks you start to see they only do clean the reception and no where else.

| said: Got back from the Broncemar 3 days ago and we had a good time. Its a lovely place that is worth trying. Quite family orintated, centrally located, and the entertainment is absoluetly fabulous. The team are great and they put on some brilliant shows of the evening. All 5 of the entertainment team are so talented!
Anyway, the accomodation itself was very spacious and well equiped although the cutelery and plates were not very clean when we found them. Also our fridge door was broke. I do give it to the hotel though, we complained about it at reception and someone came and fixed it straight away, which is good. But then the fridge was so thick of ice it was defrosting and leaked all over the floor! We did not rate the maid service at all, I think they may have came 3 times in the week that we were there. Towels were not changed every day, and when they were, on one occasion, one of them was wet! Also the bed linen was not changed while we were there. It wasnt to a high standard anyway, as they had holes in them and I even found a dirty piece of selotape on the quilt!
Apart from these few problems it is a good place to stay. The pool area is very nice, with two large swimming pools, jacuzzi and kids pool. Plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar is good serving a variety of snacks through the day. Onsite shop which is handy, and buffet restaurant for half board guest. Self Catering people can upgrade for 12 euros a day. We did this once but the food wasnt that good to be honest. Much better to go self catering and sample the foods in the local restaurants! Very nice! There is a irish tavern onsite, approx 6 pool tables outside, air hockey tables and a small arcade. All rooms have kettles, toasters and 2 ring hobs. Also televisions. You do have to pay 1 euro an hour for the t.v but a tip, if you're in room 135, the t.v works for free, if you use the remote to turn it on, as we found out! No air conditioning but fans can be hired.
If you are travelling to this hotel I would recomend the 1st floor, and not the ground. Ground floor has open terraces which are very close to your neighbours indeed. Nothing seperating them, and you can not have windows/doors open whilst out or at night. Also there is no window in the bathrooms. Me and my boyfriend had a ground room, whilst my parents and sister and the room above us and theres where by far a whole lot better. On the 1st floor, you have a lot more windows, with a very large balcony and a second smaller balcony. It is a lot more airy as the windows can be left open here and they also have a window on the bathroom. (Accomodation only has ground floor and 1st floor)
On the whole, we all had a really good holiday and enjoyed it. We spoke to one man who had been to Fuereventura 5 times and he said the Broncemar is the best place he has stayed there. Also, we had some people transfered to our hotel that had there return flight to the UK cancelled. They actually prefered the resort and the accomodation to where they had previously been staying.
I am a travel agent that works for Thomas Cook and the Broncemar is a very popualr accomodation. Although we did not find it that clean, reading these reviews and hearing other peoples comments it does normally tend to be relatively clean. It may have just been the time we went, probably because i was there! Never mind we had a great time.

| said: This was our second trip to Broncemar Beach, our first stay having been excellent. However, we noticed on this occasion the pool could have been much cleaner and my husband also encountered an upset stomach following ice-cream bought at the pool area - we really shouldn't have bought it as it was obvious it was melting and not being kept cold enough.
However, my reason for entering this report is to warn fellow travellers that we had a ground floor apartment and due to lack of air conditioning, we unfortunately left our small kitchen window open at night, foolishly in retrospect as our child was asleep in the lounge/kitchen area on the bed settee. One night I awoke on hearing a noise, got up and entered this area from our bedroom to come face to face with an intruder. This was an extremely frightening and distressing experience and my son now refuses to return to this island which we had previously visited many times previously. On talking to other holidaymakers, we discovered that many people had suffered the same, with some having intruders enter through patio doors, etc, and many having valuables and money stolen. Many people were left extremely distressed. In our particular situation which occurred during the middle of the night, the hotel security spoke no English and had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, eventually assuming I'd locked myself out. When reported via our rep the following day, it was obvious from her reaction that, despite being very sympathetic, this was something that was not new to her.
This experience overrode the remainder of our holiday, particularly as I had recognised the intruder as being familiar from the hotel area. The rep tried to persuade us that it was probably another English holidaymaker, however, having stood within inches of this person, I could guarantee this was not the case. It was clear that nothing was going to be done about this despite there being numerous fingerprints in the dust surrounding our window and a baseball cap which had been dropped.
Therefore, I post this as a word of warning and am sure that if all windows and doors are kept locked, things will be fine. I think it's a case of remembering to act on holiday as you would at home; afterall I would not have dreamt of leaving open the kitchen window at night at home.

The apartment we had were excellent with plenty of space and well furnished, the whole place is very nice, the location was no problem as you can walk to anywhere in the resort easily.
We had very little contact with the hotel local staff, the JMC/Thomas Cook reps were excellent. They phoned us quite often just to ask how we were and if we required anything, they even seemed interested to ask in the evenings how we enjoyed our day, there was plenty of entertainment although we did not participate much.
One thing I did not like was the pub was open until three every morning, (our apartment was close to the pool tables and air hockey tables and yes some people were playing these games "loudly" until three most mornings, the place was brill, I would go back no bother.

Rooms were clean and maid service came in most days. unfortunately they were painting the exterior of the apartments during our stay and the painters managed to splash paint all over my clean washing i had left on the clothes rail outside (it would have been nice to have been informed the day before painting our apartment, so this could have been avoided)
Pool areas are really clean and there is a separate pool for younger children.
We ate at the hotel a couple of times and the food was nice except it was a little more expensive than restaurants in the town.
The hotel staff were friendly on the whole.
The entertainment reps worked really hard to keep all ages, young and old entertained. The kids club reps were fantastic and kept my 5 year old entertained for the whole two weeks.
Found our rep to be quite unhelpful and this spolit the holiday a little and because of this would probably not stay there again.

| said: We stayed in April and found the hotel excellent we definately would go back. We stayed in a ground floor apartment which we did not want upon viewing the brochure prior to holiday. However, once we were there and in the room it was bright spacious and clean. The beauty of the ground floor apartments are you have a beautiful patio out the back with chairs and table with gorgeous flowers, trees and vines going overhead, and the front lead straight to the 3 pools. So you could choose the peace and tranquilty of the patio or a nice view of the pools.
The pools were the cleanest I have ever seen, I felt really at ease allowing my girls age 2-4 to play and swim. There were more than enough loungers.
In the apartment there was a nice big bedroom with 2 nice clean beds and spacious wardrobes with a safe. Also 2 nice big sofa beds in the lounge which slept are family comfortably. There was a pay per view tv, which we never used as we took our own laptop to view movies! (GOOD TIP THERE) Microwave, Kettle, toaster & 2 ring hop cooker served ours needs very well. No extra charge for those.
The room was cleaned, bed linen changed EVERYDAY bar one! I was very very very impressed with the maid service basically they came everyday with clean towels and mopped the floor, emptied bins, could not ask for a cleaner hotel.
The only thing that could have been better is the bathroom had no window, it was very dark, and no way of getting air through.
We did not see much of the entertainment sadly, only 1 night as our girls could not stay awake. We did catch one night and it was fantastic, I could see the entertainment staff were very professional and fun.
There is an on site Irish bar which had karaoke starting at 11.pm and went on till 2 or 3 in the morning every night. It was quite noisy as we were close to the bar but I tried not to let this spoil the holiday. Ideally the karaoke should have finished no later than 12 in my opinion.
All in all great hotel brilliant location, clean, friendly, would go back tomorrow. (If they cancel the karaoke)

| said: Just arrived back from Broncemar Beach yesterday. We had a good time there.
We had a ground floor apartment and it was great. Very spacious and very clean. We had a microwave, kettle and toaster at no extra charge. TV was in room and did cost but only about 1 euro for an hour. TV had plenty channels from news to cartoons to films, all in English. 2 large sofa beds in lounge area and 2 twin beds in bedroom. We got a cot for our baby which was in excellent condition. Apartment was cleaned 5 days out of 7 with clean towels when ever you wanted them. Terraced area was large with usual table and 4 chairs. Although it wasn’t very private, we never had a problem sitting outside (maybe our neighbours were just very nice people). Apartment buildings were lovely, each one a different colour and only 2 stories high.
The pool area had plenty of comfortable beds and 3 pools. The paddling pool was great for our 3 year old. The pools were very cold but I think this was the same for the majority of accommodation at this time of year.
There is a wee shop on site, which was overpriced, but extremely handy and sold lovely crispy rolls and fresh croissants in the morning.
The bar area was also clean and the reps tried there best to entertain every minute of the day from water polo in the pool to the usual mini-disco, bingo and singing and dancing and quizzes at night. These guys are full of energy, I can’t understand where they get it from. There is also an inside soft play area which my wee one loved and an outside play park.
We were very impressed with the Broncemar Beach and will be visiting again sometime. The only hesitation that we would have is that there is no air-conditioning and while this was certainly not needed in April, I reckon it would be needed in July, so don’t think we will be visiting in the summer.
Weather just now was sunny most days but cloudy at times, hot enough to sit out and sunbathe but cold and windy in the evening. You needed a cardigan or jacket.
We enjoyed the resort, Cala de Fuste, it had good restaurants very near to us, and we particularly enjoyed the Italian Restaurant next to the Scottish Bar and the Steak house across from it. Also look out for the children’s play park near these restaurants, our wee one thought it was great and already wants to go back to what he called the "Sand Park".

| said: Overall this hotel is a nice place to stay. There is plenty going on, although it is more family orientated, it provided a good base for our couples holiday.
My one recommendation would be to request an upper level apartment as most of these had large balconies and good privacy. If you are on the ground floor you could literaly have people walking past your window and be right above the pool/bar/games etc.

The room was better then expected. Had a 1st floor room so had a balcony was nice for the privacy. We were lucky enough to be 1 of the few that has a sea view in the hotel which was nice to look at.

As we were self catering we only had lunch at the bar which was nice this time of the year.
The pool is very cold although one is meant to be heated!
Over all very nice break just what we needed

| said: We stayed in the Broncemar Beach Hotel, Calete De Fuste. The room was better than we expected. Our room was clean but we found one problem which was the floor was constantly dusty even after the cleaners had been in.
We had a couple of meals at the hotel which were good because you had a choice. The hotel was located in a good area, 5 mins from shops and restaurants, and the beach. The reception staff were always helpful.

| said: We stayed in the Broncemar for 1 week over the New Year period 2004. We prefer self catering so we can try different places to eat, we only cooked once during our stay and the kitchen is not very well equipped.
I suggest you take some washing up liquid and a cloth if you do plan on eating in. We ate in the hotel for breakfast once it was 5 euros and not worth it at all, the only thing I enjoyed was the toast.
On New Years Eve we thought we'd eat in the hotel as there was entertainment on after, that what a waste of money it cost (I think) £35 per person, I wish we had gone to a restaurant. Apart from the dissapointing food I thought the hotel was quite good overall.
It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants around it.

| said: Just returned on 20th after one week on Self catering however we did eat at the pool bar once and also tried breakafast and dinner in the restaurant resaonable but but bland don't expect anything special. The Friday pool BBQ lunch was expensive and fairly basic.
Rooms were basic but kept very clean. First floor rooms have balconies and no bugs.
Sharp Bread Knife, Kettle, Toaster essential buy or hire them.
take your own cardboard Salt and pepper shakers as these are not avaialble in the shops. but you will need them if you want to eat in.
Hotel staff very helpful but bar staff do overcharge.
Entertainment team excellent and for families with children they are superb.
Hotel Location OK right near the local bus stop to Puerto Del Rosario (Ten Minute Trip) where you can pick up regular low cost bus services to any area on the Island Reception will provide a timetable.

| said: This was our 5th stay at the Broncemar. My friend is a wheelchair user and finds the location and hotel itself fine for her although, an adapted bathroom would make it better.
The staff are always very friendly and welcoming.
Self catering facilities could be better but Caleta has some good places to eat out.

| said: Hi
Short review of our recent visit to Broncemar Hotel. We had a very good short break there only 7 nights. Area was quite nice spent the first 4 days lazing around the pool or on the beach. We then hired a car from a firm just down the road from the hotel called TROPICAL, very good service. We asked for a Saxo but got a C3 at no extra charge. Cost us 60 Euro plus 10 for petrol for two full days travelling. Saw quite a lot of the island. A couple told us they paid 50 Euro for a single coach trip to the market lasting just a few hours.
The hotel was fine but a bit expensive for a drink. £3.50 for a pint of Guinness and £2.20 for a San Megel. We had a quick drink in the English pub down the road it cost £3.30 for a pint of Guinness and half of San Megel. The evening meal at the buffet restaurant was good value and nice food. The breakfast is worth missing though.
Few tips. Take a sharp knife (not in hand luggage though) to cut cheese and meat etc. Take some salt and pepper, (never did find pepper or a small salt) and as sad as it seems a small microwave saucepan would have been nice. The kitchen is very basic. 2 hot rings, a coffee machine and a fridge. If you don’t take you own you have to hire a kettle at 6 Euro. You can also hire a toaster and fan (no aircon, we needed it)
The entertainers made a good holiday; the hotel could have done more though by just adding a few extras.

| said: We have never self catered before and due to having kids thought to give it a go. Apartment was quite basic, but okay. Didn't like the fact you had to hire everything but we managed to cook toast on the hob and boil the water in the pan! Expensive to hire fans - cheaper to visit the electrical store and buy one - and take it home! No privacy on the veranda's but we did meet some lovely families.
Staff were friendly and liked the fact that there were washing machines and a tumble dryer - managed to wash stuff prior to leaving!
Entertainment staff were excellent although we didnt catch all shows we did stay up for the Panto - Aladdin - fantastic - Rob Bushell is very very good. Look out for him.

| said: The apartment was very clean and very spacious but no air conditioning so could get a bit hot. We didn't see any bugs or cockroaches at all which was good. The beds and furniture were not particularly comfortable but we got by.
Good location, only a 5 minute walk to beach, shops, restaurant, bus stop etc.
Far too many kids for our liking - and all going wild around the pool tables etc!
The entertainment was watchable but got a bit monotonous 2 weeks later!!
The only thing I would recommend is that you request a high floor apartment - we didn't think this would be necessary when we booked as we didn't particularly want a 'high' floor, but we hadn't realised that the apartments are only 2-storey so by high floor they mean first floor. We ended up on the ground floor as a result of this and we had no balcony, just a terrace outside the patio doors with nothing to divide us from any of our neighbours!!! It was like sitting out on the pavement if you ventured outside. We really missed having our own balcony and a bit of privacy which you would get on the first floor. We did ask at Reception if we could move but were told that they were completely booked.
The Broncemar is ideal for people with young families and teenagers but not really for couples, like us, looking for a relaxing holiday.

| said: I stayed at the Broncemar Bech Hotel in Caleta De Fuste. Everything was fine apart from the food and the cockroaches. Before I travelled I booked half board and made sure throught the travel agents that vegetarian food was going to be available and they had confirmed it was. For 3 days out of my 7 days I did not get a vegetarian meal. I spoke to the rep and the hotel manager who promised me that their would be veggi food and I was then told to eat salad. I also had to move from my original room during the middle of the week as we had cockroaches swanning around everywhere. The last thing you want to do in the middle of your holiday is to re-pack and run around the hotel with your cases to another room. I was very disappointed that this hotel is classed as a 3 star plus. The only thing that kept us going was the Entertainment they were the best and really made out holiday worth staying for.

| said: Hotel was good value on half board basis.
Very clean except pool areas could have been a wee bit cleaner and tidier. Hotel food gets eight out of ten from me not bad at all,Location was perfect ,ten out of ten.
Hotel staff were ok except two of the bar staff were very arrogant and could not count ,the price of our round went up and down like a yo-yo and when I questioned it I was given a dirty look and a receipt I think was written in brail cos I couldn't read it.
Entertainment was very good they work very hard ,JIMMY was by far the funniest and the most friendly member of the team ,but the rest were as good in their own ways.I would go back any time.
WE were there 27/7/05-10/8/05.

The hotel was very clean and the pools were clean.
Had to ask for clean bedding as they never changed them for a few days. Wish we had a private balcony, you are sat outside with all the people off the same block. Had a TV in our room and a microwave, they were very handy.
