| said: I returned from my wedding on Rhodes three weeks ago, and am gutted to be back home. Rhodes is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The Greek people are the nicest people I have ever met. The Lindos Gardens Hotel is beautiful. The view from the infinity pool is stunning, well worth the hike. The staff were great, free drinks on our wedding night, not just in the hotel, but all through the town. All the people in town lined the street and gave us a round of applause. Every bar we passed walking from St Paul's Bay to the Family ran Mythos Restaurant, had the manager come out to wish us good luck and give us free drinks. We were a bit wobbly when we got to the restaurant. The Mythos restaurant (best food on the island, wonderful staff, Greg the waiter couldn't do enough for us), has the most amazing view of Lindos from their roof garden. The best bar by far and away is the Rainbird Bar (on the way to the beach). Nikos the barman should do stand up, v. funny man. Great impressionist. Also try Giorgio's bar, a warm welcome guaranteed. But I digress, the Lindos Gardens Resort was excellent. The karaoke/BBQ night is a giggle, and the quiz/fruit night has a band called "The Drops". We "won" the cabbage. A taxi into town costs 4 Euro. You must try the "Lindos Taxi". The view from the Acropolis is breath-taking. You can get car hire inside the hotel at much cheaper rates than the tour operators. The reps want 23 Euro each to go to Rhodes Town. 46 Euro per couple, car hire is only 25 Euro a day, and you can preamble around without worrying about missing the bus back (a taxi back will cost 50 Euro). The sound and light show DOESN'T have lasers. Rhodes old town will take you all day to look around, bargains everywhere. We will definitely go back at the earliest opportunity.

| said: We have just returned from our third stay at Lindos Gardens. It just gets better every year. The new infinity pool at the top of the complex is very nice with an amazing view, and with a pool side bar up there as well makes things even better.
Our studio was very close to the top pool which was great although a bit of a hike (there is a lift part of the way up) but we prefer to be up there because the view of the bay & acropolis is breathtaking.
Vassilis & Valentina are always very helpful and welcome you to their complex (of which they work hard at every year to make even better) this year there were new staff all very good but I must mention Nickos the handsome barman & Nicki the English barmaid who was very friendly.
The rooms we have stayed in have always been very nice & clean, basic but this is Greece, and although it is self catering I do not want to cook so it is enough for us.
The Fruit night is always very good & this year they had a live band that was not too bad.
The B.B.Q night is also a must with again this year an added attraction "Karaoke" From our first visit in 2004 so much more has been done to make your holiday enjoyable.
Lindos itself is just the best place I have ever been. Can’t say enough about it.
Also a must go to Pefkos & go to the Eclipse Bar this is out of this world. 2 big bars a pool with fountains we only went there in our last few days or we would have gone more times.
All the restaurants we went too the food was very good I think you have to try as many as you can too many too mention.
The bars we liked were 60's bar, Dreams bar, Court Yard bar. I must go now as I am depressing myself only been back 3 days & can't wait to go again, I will just have to keep looking at the photos. Happy holiday.

| said: Just arrived back from Lindos Gardens. The hotel is definitely good value for money, and in as a good location as it can be for a hotel with a pool. Its about 5-10 minute walk down to the main (taxi) square. Walk seemed quite easy on the first few days, but it gets abit harder with each coming day...especially if you're going to the beach during the day like we did, and then into the village on the night!
The hotel complex is quite large and the pool and bar areas are very contemporary etc. which is good.Wouldn't recommend the bar food, just seemed like your typical microwave/deep fat fryer scenario with little quality.
We were disapppointed with our room upon arrival, it was on ground level and had no designated 'balcony' area as such, just a tiled area outside with chairs and a table- so it didn't feel very private. Our immediate view was of the bottom of the infinity pool and of other hotel blocks, however if you walked out of the tiled area and put your head round you could see the acropolis.
Think if we were to visit Lindos again we would rent a villa in the village, which involves alot less walking and as the beaches are so beautiful we wouldn't miss having a pool.

| said: Excellent very comfortable clean and ideal location for the town and acropolis.
View from the infinity pool was amazing well worth getting up early for the sunrise over the ruins.
October was good time to visit to beat the crowds however the hotel was preparing to end the season as the infinity pool was closed.
The bigger pool located by reception and tennis courts were very relaxing.
In last few days there was a sudden increase in flies which is apparently usual in October accross Rhodes.
The car hire arranged through the hotel was much cheaper than through the tour operater or in the town.
Excellent hotel would definately return.

| said: Had a great holiday at Lindos Gardens, excellent value for money. We were located in the new block which, if you have a lot of luggage, puschairs, etc is not ideal as it's up a pretty steep hill (we were singles so no real problem for us).
The apartments were lovely, the best i've ever had in Lindos! The usual small kitchenette, two decent sized rooms, v smart modern bathroom and a good sized balcony. Our room (1GG) was literally three steps from the new infinity pool, so couldn't be better located for sunworshippers. One minor hitch was that the pool bar was closed (low season) so we'd have to walk down to the main bar for drinks/snacks.
The main bar is really cool, more like a trendy wine bar than a greek hotel bar. The fruit night is pretty good and most of the daytime food but avoid breakfast at all costs, it's the pits!
The location is not bad really, i guess if you're elderly or have pushchairs it might be. It's a 10 minute walk down to the main square and another 10 minutes to the beach but Lindos is very hilly so some might struggle on the way back.
In my opinion the only thing that lets this place down is housekeeping. On arrival two beds weren't made up so we had quite a wait while they went to get a maid - not ideal on a 5am arrival! And we only got the room cleaned twice during the week, which with 4 adults sharing one bathrooom (in the greek system) is totally inadequate. Other than that we had a great time.

| said: First visit to Rhodes and was pleased with choice of Lindos Gardens.
Bigger complex than the brochure info described but was better than the brochure suggested.
Good spot away from road, unlike some other places nearby.
Nice room, basic but clean with nice bathroom. Balcony overlooking sea and acropolis - lovely!
Very nice staff - all very helpful and friendly.
Did not eat any meals from bar so not sure of quality.
More evening entertainment than the brochure suggested but not every night.
Would definitely visit again.

| said: We stayed in Lindos Gardens for the 6th time, and we love the place !!
Rooms are basic but comfortable some having lovely views to the Accropolis. Maid service was good, kept our room very tidy and clean.
Food served in the bar is typical greasy spoon fayre-not what you would expect in Greece and the prices are a little high compared to in the resort.
Bar prices are also higher than in Lindos but it is a beautiful bar, very modern and trendy.
Hotel staff are friendly enough, but do not go out of thier way for you and are slow to serve food and drinks. The owner if the apartments is a lovely man if a little preoccupied at times!!!!! on the whole the whole the entertainment is just enough but designed purely to keep you spending in the bar instead of in Lindos which is cheaper! The karaoke night can be lively as can the fruit night. Would we go again? probably !

Lindos gardens was a brilliant place to stay, the staff are great, and Marios at the Bar is a brilliant asset to the complex. He was so friendly with us, my son who is 8yrs was even working the bar on the last two nights as he got on with Marios so much.
This is one of the best accommodation on the island.

| said: have traveled to rhodes at least 6/7 times since 1989, apart from the first time, have stayed at Lindos Gardens every time since. What a wonderful place, it's like a little village with rooms spread around the pool, maid service is very good and all the staff are friendly and helpful, the owner is a lovely man (can't spell his name, sorry Vasillis !),and is on site every day and would go out of his way to ensure you have a good holiday, he is rightly proud of his complex. Have seen a number of changes over the years, there is a new bar that is very trendy and smart, I miss the old open air one but also love the new one. Have seen the old pool refurbihed and new one's added, the infinity pool is fantastic with stunning view of the acropolis and bay. the rooms are very spacious and clean with balconies or terrace with wonderful views. I love the food served at the bars. I love the whole place and am looking forward to my next visit, July 14 2009. only sorry i can't make this year;

| said: First Impressions were "where have we come to" but that was more down to the length of time we had travelled and after a good sleep we were pleasantly surprised by the complex. Although our apartment was the furthest up the hill.
Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff and owner - Marios the head bar man went out of his way to assist.
The pools were clean and well maintained and the on site food was good.
Drawbacks - Bar prices on the dear side but that's the euro for you,air conditioning (a must) is charged separately.
We will return to Lindos Gardens again overall very satisfying.

| said: This was our second visit to Lindos Gardens which has been refurbished since July 2005. We stayed higher up the cliff than last year and were really pleased with our room and especially the new infinity pool that has been installed.
The rooms up by the infinity pool are much quieter and tend to have couples in them, this meant the infinity pool was really quiet and peaceful during the day because the families were all down by the main pool and bar.
The new rooms were very nicely kitted out, especially for Greece where you don't always expect the nicest of rooms.
We will definately continue to go back there for the 3rd year next year.

| said: My new husband and I were at Lindos Gardens on our honeymoon. We arrived at the beginning of the heat wave and were there for a week - didn't want to go home.
The staff were very helpful and really friendly - Nick makes great cocktails.
Our room was clean, but basic. The air conditioning unit was fantastic. We were on the first floor and had a great view of the Acropolis. (It was too hot to visit though)
There were two pool areas, the deeper pool was towards the rear of the hotel and we did not visit there, but the pool next to the bar and reception was quiet with sunbeds provided (make sure you have plenty of towels as no mats are provided).
There were bar snacks on offer such as burgers, kebabs and toasties - the kebabs were the better items on offer.
**Take flat shoes** as the apartments were a good 10minute walk down hill in to town on an evening. I wore flip flops each day as the hill was very steep - not good for anyone with mobility problems.
There were great restuarants and a bar called 'The Sunburnt Arms' where the owners were very friendly.
The town centre had lots of little winding streets and was full of shops where you are not hassled but left to browse at your own pace.
This is a place I would love to visit again - well worth a visit.

In a good location very steep to get to Lindos so beware take flat shoes with you you will regret it otherwise. Did not feel the staff were very friendly, very overpriced with their drinks and food, compared to lindos itself.
You get your room cleaned every second day and also clean towels once a week. Very overpriced with the airconditioning but beware you will need it.

The room was basic, the kitchen facilities were less than we expected but to be honest there were so many places to eat out this did not matter. The room was clean and the air conditioning was a must as it was so hot out there.

The pool was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds available all day long.
There was a limited bar food menu and little entertainment, but with so many excellent restaurants and bars only 15 minutes walk away in the centre of Lindos, this was not a problem.

| said: The hotel is lovely to look at, but if your in the old apartments you'll be extremely disappointed. Wasnt very clean, extremely run down. We didnt mind how basic it was as its expected. We didnt use the cooking facilities as it was that run down. Its unfortunate that people who stay in the old accommodation has to pay the same price as people in the new.
The hotel staff are nice, beautiful pool & bar area is nice. Not an extensive menu...needs to be abit more on offer. There wasnt really any entertainment, the bbq is nice and the fruit night, but no singing or dancing which is unfortunate.

Take a radio, no television! Swimming pool very nice, cool and clean. The appts are a good 20 mins walk downhill to beach but there is a free bus for some of the way. If you don't like exercise or are disabled I suggest a car as its rather hilly and the heat drains you. No problem with noise at night and the entertainment at Lindos Gardens was OK. Look out for the BBQ and Fruit night. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Two supermarkets just around the corner which stay open really late.

| said: Staff were very welcoming and very friendly - the studio apartment was for 4 people, and so was spacious, and was apparently newly decorated and fitted. Maintenance was a little slow (to repair our loose toilet seat - that didn't actually get done while we were there, even after 3 days or so) Excellent view from balcony across to the sea and acropolis. The entertainment was good (party games, karaoke, bingo, quiz and a couple of BBQ/buffet-type meals). The pool was clean and a nice size. The location meant a bit of a trudge up a hill from the town of Lindos, and the path was a bit dark in some places. Bar prices were a little bit dear, but, it seems that the introduction of the Euro has pushed up prices in Greece a bit overall, and Lindos is a little bit pricier anyway.
