We complained and shown another which was no better.

| said: We have stayed at Paloma Beach 5 times now and find the apartments clean and well furnished. The pool is the cleanest we have ever been in but not suitable for young children as you can not have any inflatables in the pool but saying that it suited us very well as we are a couple in our early 50s and all we wanted to do was veg out and relax and Paloma Beach is exactly what we wanted. The younger members of staff were very helpful and yes you have to pay 2 euros for a sunbed and 2 euros for an umbrella but you would have to pay that on the beach. The supermarkets are well equipped and no matter what people tell you Iceland is not the cheapest! Captain John will book any trips you want, he talks a lot but lovely man. We will be back later in the year.

Disappointed when toddlers playing in the children's area of the pool were told to remove their buckets and plastic watering can from the pool and were not allowed to use plastic flotation rings (the ones they can sit in). A bit boring for children as a result. Staff not the friendliest either.

| said: Hi,
I always use this web site to research a holiday and so far it has stood me in good stead.
Our holiday was booked a month before we came out and overall it was very good value for money.
As these are private apartments it is the luck of the draw as to the decor and standard of interior of your allocated accomodation.
Ours was pretty good although a few of the tiles were either cracked or loose and you made a note where you were standing in bare feet etc.
The comments on toliet rolls are true you did provide your own but it was available in the nearby Iceland and hey its not the end of the world.
The bar near the pool is plenty good enough for breakfasts which were only £3 euros each and snacks, beers and drinks in the day.
The pool was in good condition and it was good to have a shallow section for younger children.
Within a short walk you have 3-4 restaurants and they offered very good meals at considerably cheaper than you would pay here. Shelleys we felt had the best food, with the most relaxed atmosphere but also felt a bit more of a "specaal" evening type of restaurant.
Other places also offered good food but seemed more like informal pub grub, snacks, and fast food. All types of food was catered for within a 5-10 minute walk including Indian, Chinese, Italian, and English.
The beach was a bit of a walk if you had young children as certain periods of the day it was overcast! so it would have meant returning to the apartment or going into the numerous bars etc.
The apartments had Sky TV with all the english channels so if you like staying in on the evenings you could relax and not have to read subtitles.
A 10 minute walk saw you in the busier part of Los Christianos with plenty of shops.
There didnt seem to be many young children around compared to many other European destinations.
I would go again and as the budget airlines travel here you can definitely have a good time on a budget.

No specific complaints but found the place to be only average and staff not very helpful. Quite a walk into Los Cristianos and we had two small children. Would not stay here again.

| said: Stayed at Paloma Beach apartments in Los Cristianos, Tenerife. We found the apartment which is privately owned to be clean and very convenient being situated directly next to the bar. The towels were changed twice during the week and the bed linen once. One of the bedrooms in the apartment (ours) had no window just a grill to the corridor. There was no fan in the room and I think in the middle of the summer this could be a problem although it wasn't for us as we were there in February. The cooking equpment was rather sparse but as eating out was so cheap it didn't matter. I would recommend these apartments as they are very conveniently situated.

Anything that was missing from the apartment regarding selfcatering was quickly replaced.
Linen was changed once a week, & towels twice weekly. No complaints whatsoever.
The staff were ever so helpful, and the location was great. 2 Supermarkets on the doorstep, Iceland & a Spanish supermarket which by the way will deliver your groceries if needed.
I will be back to Tenerife, but will probably choose another month as January was very breezy!!

| said: My wife and i visited for the first time last july, 2007. The apartment was very well maintained and decorated very nicely.
It had all the utensils you would find in a kitchen at home. The oven was new and very clean as was the fridge freezer.
I was suprised to read about the previous comments about the staff on reception, i found them to be very friendly and helpfull.
The pool is very well maintained and the surrounding gardens are a nice touch.
The bar is quite handy by the pool and has kareoke in the evenings, not quite my thing but it appeals to some.
There is a shop literally two minutes walk from the apartment, which is like a small tesco's.
It sells all types of food and grocery items as well as alcohol. At the back of the shop there is a bakery which sells freshly baked bread.
There is also a cash machine outside the shop.

| said: I needed a well earned rest after a busy work load at Christmas and this was just the place to chill out.
The apartment was superb with all the mod cons and English TV.
Local bars were enough to keep you occupied albeit we did wander some nights further into the lively areas.
You can take a 15 minute walk and probably find an eating house from anywhere in the world. Plenty of entertainment and karaoke if you want it.
At this end of the beach is was quiet and peaceful with some brilliant views over the bay in the day and at night.
A fantastic walk along the front takes you into Americas.
The apartments have a nice bar with friendly people and some nightly entertainment and light food.
I have been here 5 times and tried out other places in Tenerife but I keep coming back here, and definitely will be going back.
Absolute brilliant value for the money.

| said: This is the first time in the Paloma beach apartments found them to be extremely spacious and clean. We had a penthouse which had all you need for a great holiday, the kitchen was great all the comforts of home, it had cooker oven microwave full sized fridge freezer great for the ice creams. The linen was changed every 2 or 3 days depending on weekends.
There is a club on site which has good food and some entertainment, there is no noise after midnight because the entertainment stops then.
Everybody was very friendly and helpful I have no hesitation in recommending it for families and couples it’s a bit quiet for the 18+ party animals tough

The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, and well equipped.
The location of the apartment is in an ideal place 5-10 mins walk to the centre all on the flat.
Staff very friendly at the bar, reception etc.
A few bars, eating places outside the front of the complex that do good breakfasts and food. Also breakfast at the bar on complex very nice too.
Pool very clean and plenty of sunbeds (2 euros each) only complaint pool a little cold, couldn't stay in for too long.
Wouldn't hesitate to return to these apartments, and sure I will in the not so near future.

| said: Looking forward to going back to Paloma Beach apartments. They were very clean, spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. Bedding was changed once a week and towels 2/3 times a week.
We found the location ideal as there were a few bars/restaurants directly outside the complex.
The staff were very friendly and helpful both in the complex and pool bar.
Did not spend much time in the pool bar but when we did we were made to feel really welcome.
Stayed for the boxing day buffet which was excellent value for money.
If I had any complaint it would be about the pool being very cold, it was clean but not heated enough.
We found the Surrey Arms outside the complex very good for their meals, as well as Rumours. Karaoke bars were great, good atmosphere and very friendly. The New Year celebrations were excellent with the fireworks and live band down the harbour, the atmosphere was excellent.
Can't wait to book again for June.

| said: Could not fault the apartment it was well furnished, very spacious and clean.
The apartments are situated around the pool. The grounds are well maintained.
The staff were very friendly and informative.
You have everything you need very close to the apartments including a well known English freezer centre, supermarkets with English/Spanish foods. Shop that is open 24 hours and ATM machines.
There are plenty of restaurants/bars (none of which are too noisy) around the Apartments. The Airport was only a 15/20 minute ride away.
We found the site to be quiet but not too quiet. I think this is perfect for both couples and families with young children (there isn't a lot for children to do on site but the centre of Los Cristianos is within walking distance.
We stayed at Paloma Beach in November 2005 and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back this November to celabrate our Silver Wedding.

| said: Beautiful apartment with views over the pool out to the sea. (Obviously not everyone may get same views etc.) Best accommodation/view I have ever had. Large balcony was perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine before showering and going out for the evening.
Entertainment not really our taste - bingo and karaoke - but nearby Church restaurant has excellent food and entertainment - although not sure about the Rod Stewart impersonator!
Plenty of sunbeds and room around a lovely pool.
Would certainly return to these apartments.

| said: I had previously stayed at the Paloma Beach in 1993 and enjoyed its location and facilities then, so I decided to book there again this year, but opted for renting a one-bedroom penthouse apartment for better views, sunshine etc.
Excellent apartment, comfortable beds, satellite TV and great view. The on-site pub was virtually empty most evening whereas in 1992 it was always very busy with the residents.
The complex is in a pleasantly quiet area of Los Cristianos but within easy reach of all bars, restaurants and weekly (Sunday) market.
Will certainly return again.

| said: Nov 2003 - Very Good
This was our first DIY holiday to Los Christianos, booked through Maestro Vacations direct and flights with Monarch. The apartments are situated at the end of the resort on the flat (no hills to climb) just past the Arona Gran Hotel. They are all privately owned so vary in decor. The apartments have twin beds, fully tiled bathroom, spacious lounge with three piece suite and satellite TV and a fully fitted kitchen with microwave, toaster etc. and all face on to the pool area which is kept spotless. You do have to pay for your sunbeds at a cost of 1.80 Euros for the day and no inflatables are allowed in the pool so is more suitable to older people and families with younger children than teenagers.
Los Christianos is still cheap to eat out at night and The Church which is just down the road does a three course meal for 6 Euros, they also have different entertainment every night. Another good place to eat is the Little Italy and the Fortuna which is alway busy so you may have to wait for a table.
The best beach is Playa Vista which is past the harbour and through the underpass.
This was our fourth visit to tenerife and second to Los Christianos, there is quite a lot of building work going on to the back of the resort.
We found some nice shops near the Mare Nostrum resort and Parque Santiago complex where there are a lot of designer shops, but not that cheap. This is also where the dancing fountain is located which starts up around 8.30pm.
The weather has been a bit hit and miss lately, we had three really cloudy days and three nice days. Still hot though.
We also paid a visit to Green Park on the Golf de Sur complex as we know some one who lives there, just to see what it was like. Was not impressed, as it is so close to the airport, you get low flying aircraft all the time and the noise was horrendous.
All in all for our first DIY holiday it was great success, the apartment cost £220 and the flights £159 and I would definitely stay at the Paloma beach again, could not fault it.

Friendly atmosphere in complex although entertainment could be better but lots of local evening entertainment. Pool area nice and clean. Good for small kids. ( not much for teenagers). Have to pay for sunbeds daily. Food in small pub on complex was good and staff there were very friendly.Privately owned apartments so decor varies. Ours was very homely and ideal for a family. Have been twice and would go back. Booked direct over the phone to complex and flights booked online. No problem getting taxi at airport and all round a very good holiday.
