| said: we visited this hotel in early june and had a holiday of total peace and relaxation which was in contradiction to what we had heard of tenerife resorts. as we live in a quiet part of torquay this was a huge relief to us and the views matched the lovely views from our home. the hotel and every aspect was faultless even down to the welcome pack we received from our tour operator. the reception staff were polite and helpful and the room attendants could not have been more thorough, the rooms were spotless. the plants on our terrace were looked after and attended to regularly. we were told that this was a quiet time at the royal sun - it could not have been better for us but this was probably the reason for the entertainment atmosphere being limited. the artists we saw were very good but the audience was almost non existant. in conclusion, the holiday was a complete succes and we will visit again at the first opportunity.

| said: The hotel we felt is run to a very high standard, rooms are very spacious with a large bathroom, kithcen area, large living area and a good size bedroom, (ceiling fan only). The large balcony offers superb views of Los Gigantes and the cliffs and on a clear day you can see the Island of Gomera. We found the hotel staff always courteous, warm and friendly. I would highly recommned having a meal in the hotels restraunt and if possible ask to be seated in one of the pagola's as these offer superb views of the sunset. The hotel always had regular entertainment however, functions did not seemed to be fairly well attended, possible due to the fact of the hotels situation.
If you enjoy total peace and relaxation then the Royal Sun is the place for you.

| said: This was an amzing place to stay. Although the hotel is only rated as 3*'s I definately felt I was in 5* luxury. The service was amazing. Kevin, one of the waiters, worked at least 15 hours a day everyday and always with smile. He got to know the family and we were treated like friends by him. Thnaks Kevin. The balconies of each room are also amazing. Because the hotel is situated in the side of a hill, every room has a fantastic view over the ocean, and every night, the most beautiful sunset. While we were staying, work was getting done in the hotel, however, this was definately not an inconveniance to our stay. Eating in the restaurant was a pleasure. Perfect service and delicious food. I can honestly say, I will definately be going back to the Royal Sun for another highly enjoyable stay.
