| said: I have to be honest and say after reading various reviews before i tavelled to this hotel i was slightly anxious but i have just got back and can honestly say i cannot omplasin about anything. It right on the beach but if u want snd u walk a few yards and its there. Its clean inside and out and the staff are lovely even down to the ladies down the rooms each day. there is entertainment during the day by the pool (fashion show and falconry shows) It is next to the Veronicas but if u get Torre B u cannot hear anything and it is so peacefull..not even a lot of traffic noise. People have complained in reviews about the food. Maybe it could have done being a little hotter but it was perfectly fine and quite a lot of veriety and there is a microwave if u want to use it. All in all i would go back to this hotel.

| said: Booked this holiday 7 days before travelling, very good price. Bit dubious as the proximity to Veronicas is closer than close!!!
Seasoned travellers to the Island, have stayed Torviscas Playa, Vulcano. Bahia Principe, Caladonia Park.
All in all we enjoyed it, the Island is very quiet. The rooms are very small and a bit on the grotty side, but the public rooms are very well decorated.
I would not choose this hotel during the summer months, again, only due to the location, we did'nt use the pool, it was too cold.
The food was ok, nobody eats to restaurant standard at home (good luck to you if you do!) there was a good choice at Breakfast and at the Evening Meal, i.e. couple of meats, fish, salads and potatoes. Nice choice of cakes for dessert.

The hotel was spotless and theer always seems to be housekeepers on for anything that you need.
Reception staff were really very nice and nothing was too much bother.
The food was fine and plenty of choice you can always find something to eat.
The location is right on the beach so out the back gate and you are on the promenade.
As for the entertainment I could not tell you as we went out at night.
Yes and sunbeds are very hard to come by as they are taking very early in the morning.

| said: I am just back from a sol tenerife with my mum and 15 year old little brother. We did have a good holiday! i had read some bad reports so was prepared for the worst but was pleasantly suprised!
On arrival there was a bit of confusion with our room but that was quickly sorted out!! My first impressions of the reception area was yes a bit dull but very clean and presentable! The first receptionist spoke little english but someone assisted her and they understood me!
We had two rooms and the room where quite small but big enough for two! not enough room for three though! the room was kept clean, the maid we had was very friendly even though she couldnt speak english! she changed our towels every second day! the general cleanliness of the hotel was of good standard also!
The hotel food was average! there was a lot of selection! most things were meat however, which i dont really eat meat and i am a bit funny as to what i will eat abroad anyway! i could still find something to my satisfaction though!! the waiters were very friendly and they really do work hard! In fact, all hotel staff i found to be very friendly and hard working!
The entertainment team were great they worked hard during the day and at night! dont think they take any time off!! quiet pleasant at night to sit and watch them with a drink! However, what i didnt realise was at night it got a bit chilly and windy!! perhaps, becasue the hotel and pool area are practically on the sea!!
Did not have a problem getting a sunbed!! we would go down at 9.30 - 10am and would get one fine!! they are stacked up and you just position them where ever you like!
We were in Block B which was quiet noisy at night!! However, this did not bother me or my brother but my mum did find it hard sleeping as it went on all night!! i do believe, after talking to other guests that if you asked to be moved to the other side they done it without a problem! and the other block is meant to be quieter!! Apart from the noise the hotel is in an excellent location!! very central slap bang in the middle!!
i enjoyed my stay in sol tenerife but everyone will have a different opinion! depends what you are used to and what you are looking for!! On the last day i spoke to an elderly couple who were very upset about there stay here! the noise and the food were their main complaints!
i would go back and stay at this hotel again but next time i will go with my friends so i can check out the disco scene! and i think i would go self catering as i would like to have ate out somewhere different each night as it is not that expensive and believe the food would be of higher standards!

the room was lovely and clean, and staff were very friendly.location was very central, and a short walk to the beach. cant comment on hotel entertainment as we were out every night.great selection of food, would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back.

Pool dirty black mould around water level in all three pools.
Food worse ever had never complained before but this was bad alright if you like mix veg/runner beans/broccoli for breakfast.
Bedlinen never changed sheets turned upside downown because blood from foot ended at top of bed.
Lifts constantly breaking down glad to be home never go again.

| said: We thought the hotel was in an excellent location, nice and central and on the beachfront.
As we stayed in block A, the noise level was not bad at all and we slept very well.
The staff were friendly and the maids very efficient, we were on the 11th floor and had no problems with the lift. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
The view from our room 1174 was excellent both pool and sea view. We were half board and thought the food served was OK but not exceptional. The service in the dining room was very good plates were removed as soon as you were finished your meal.
Although we are visiting another hotel in Oct. I would recommend this hotel for all age groups as it is in a good location.
Entertainment was fine we had a couple of really good shows, but we did go out a few times as well. The quiz night was brilliant what a laugh.

| said: The Sol Tenerife is definatley not a child friendly hotel, little entertainment for children and very little to interest them in the dining room.
The room was clean and well maintained but as we had our 6 year old Grandson in with us they just pushed in another bed which left us like the 3 little bears.
Whilst the pools and surrounding area are very good getting a sunbed was impossible as they were all claimed well before breakfast. No Thomas Cook rep at hotel or even English Thomas Cook notice.
Beware if watching the Parrot Show in the hotel, the pictures you pay for do not materialise and you will have thrown 10 euros down the drain.
Good location - would visit hotel again but not with children or food included.

Hotel in excellent location and pools were very good.
Slightly older age group at this time of year and the food was plentiful but a bit plain. We found it a bit like feeding time at meal times and this was not enjoyable.

| said: Six day break starting 2 January 2006. Bit of a mixed report really some very good points and some not so good.
We were in the block that looks West towards Veronicas. 8th floor, good views but very noisy. Take ear plugs and you will be ok.
Room a bit on the smallish side and did not have one socket for the travel iron in the room. Ironing had to be done in the bathroom via the shaver connection.!! Fridge in room (small) which is useful. TV but only one English speaking channel (BBC World)Beds very comfy. Maid service good with towel change every second day.
Mixed report on the food, I found it suited me very well, the wife didn't agree and didn't think it was that good. Two pools, one heated, and looked nice around the pool.
Agree with other comments that it can be difficult to get a sun bed. Big plus is you can get your own towel every day after paying a deposit you get back at the end of your holiday. Location ? well, out the back by the pools excellent, easy access to the walkway and you are midway between. Porto Colon and Los Cristianos.
Out the front Veronicas and Starcos are right on your doorstep and wasn't our cup of tea. Didn't see any of the evening entertainment but the entertainers during the day were pleasant and not pushy at all. Has e-mail access. Would we go back ?
If it was all we could get as we had a good time despite being in Veronicas.

| said: I was given a room on the eighth floor in Block B. From the balcony I could see the sea, and could also listen to music coming up from the bar across the road. This stopped at midnight! The room had a small kitchenette with fridge, two ringed hob and sink, though no utensils. The bathroom had a full suite, complementary shower gel, soap etc, and the bath towels were some of the biggest I have had in a hotel, and were changed every day. The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was good, though apparently is not available below the third floor? The public areas, gardens and swimming pool area were all clean, though I thought the pool areas were rather small for the size of the hotel, and there were definitely not enough sunbeds.
I can´t comment on the food as I was on a Room Only basis.
The location could not have been better. Out of the pool gardens, straight onto the seaside promenade with a pebble beach directly in front. A few minutes walk to left and right brought me straight onto the sandy beach. There were bus stops again just a few minutes walk away, and Veronicas, Starco and the Patch on the doorstep.
The staff were friendly and (mostly) helpful, though rather rushed at reception. The evening bar staff were quick and efficient and very friendly.
The entertainments staff worked very hard and a lot of people seemed to join in the daytime fun. The evening shows were enjoyable and included karaoke, quizzes, parrot shows, and the two shows put on by the entertainments team were professionally done.
I would stay at the hotel again purely for its location, though I would definitely not class it as 4 Star

| said: When we first arrived at the hotel our initial thoughts were quite good.
When we finally had a decent room the room was quite nice and smart. We had linen changed most days and towels changed every day.
The food was terrible and if you do eat there-make sure you go early as it gets cold quite quickly.
The location is very good but please take earplugs as the noise from the clubs may keep you awake if you are on a low floor.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and this was really the only excellent part of the holiday.
The entertainment team have plenty to keep you amused during the day and at night. But I wouldn't visit this hotel again as it is no way a 4* hotel and because of what happened with our two previous rooms.

| said: I would reccomend NEVER to go to this hotel.
where could I start??
The reception area was a big let down, it was very smoky and dull and the receptionists were quite mean.
We had to wait an hour to get into our room as it was being 'cleaned'.
When we were finally aloud in, the towels were dirty, the bath was filthy and it wasn't very nice.
Food was awful. There was mainly foreigners there and they were very ignorant.
There wasn't a big choice in the food and one night I went to get a beef burger, only to find that it wasnt cooked right.
The pool are was also a BIG let down. They were absolutely FILTHY and there were even plasters etc etc in it floating about.
We went out to the drop-in everynight so I can't comment on the entertainment.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is right beside the beach and 5 minutes away from the shops.
I will not be going to this hotel ever again.
It was more like a 2 star in my opinion.

The entertainment provided by the hotel was excellent so we spent most of the nights at the hotel.
Even though we were half board we never ate at the hotel as we preferred to go out and eat.
The hotel was really clean but our room overlooked Veronicas which can get very noisy.

| said: Just back from a good holiday at Sol Tenerife. First impressions were good, even although maintenance work was going on in the hotel.
Can’t really fault the hotel although I am surprised it is listed as a 4 star I would say it’s more 3 star category.
The staff are very, very welcoming and helpful and the entertainment team will ensure you enjoy yourself, they had my husband doing archery and scuba dive training an hour after we had arrived!!
This hotel has 11 floors and we were allocated a room on the 10th floor, it was very high and if we had a young child I definitely would have had to be moved to a lower floor, as the balconies are glass and were a bit flimsy looking. Maid service daily, but we only had towels change once in 10 days!
The food was good not brilliant, the location was very central and very busy just next to a very rocky beach.
Personally I wouldn't return to Sol Tenerife only because of its location.

| said: On arrival at the hotel we were allocated a room on the eleventh floor. We asked to be moved as it really was very high. They moved us straight away to a room on the sixth floor. It was a very modern, neat room and even had a fridge and small oven.
The hotel room was cleaned daily and fresh towels every day. However, the bathroom floor was never washed once during our weeks stay.
The food was very bland. There was a lot of meat choices so would suit someone on the Atkins diet and this is what let the hotel down. We ate out three nights of our seven and having spoken to most other English people in the hotel they felt the same.

| said: As this was our second visit to Tenerife we knew exactly where we were going but expected the standards of the hotel to be a lot better. We paid quite a lot of money (well for two 20 year olds) and were expecting a lot more for it. The hotel is clean and in an excellent location. However, the food is somewhat disgusting. However it is extremely cheap to eat in the resturants around and you can have a full English Breakfast for around 2.50 (euro)
If you are looking for a hotel that is clean and in the best location in Las Americas then this one is for you! (Great views of the sea from the balcony, ask to have a room overlooking the sea!)

| said: We got a late deal, one week, half board, allocated on arrival for a great price, but i wasnt expecting anything too great. When we were told at Tenerife airport we were going to Tenerife Sol we decided to get our own taxi and save queues at check in. This worked and we were checked in quickly and efficiently before the rest of the mob on the same deal!
The hotel was clean and well maintained. There seemed to be a cleaner going round most of the time. The bedroom we had was small but clean, with a balcony overlooking Veronicas. This could have been a problem if we had been wanting to relax as it was noisy til 5am. If you stay in the other tower block of the Hotel, this isnt a problem. The room also had a small kitchenette area with fridge/freezer/sink etc. Beds and towels changed most days.
The food was good as theres something for everyone. Even the fussiest of people would have found something to suit. We learned it was better to eat earlier to avoid the rush and get the best choice though. The bar has a good choice of cocktails at reasonable prices.
The location was good as its right in the centre of Las Americas and almost on the beach.
The hotel staff were polite at all times, I wouldnt describe them as friendly, but they did their stuff.
Cant really comment on the entertainment as we didnt see much.
I would visit this Hotel again, if I was able to get the same kind of deal.
