| said: Hotel had recently just changed over from LTI to Maritim, the reception area and surrounding areas were stunning and gardens kept lovely.
Food for me was not the greatest and was the biggest let down, especially when the entertainment team (around 20 of them)would come into the resturant at least twice playing load music asking us to follow them there and then during your meal!
Hotel had good security however, when on beach every now and again strangers and the security staff themselves would pester you asking you to buy black market cigars from them. They made you feel sorry for them for how little they earnt yet at the same time they would be wearing designer clothing.
Altogether a good holiday resort, night club and quality of alcohol was excellent and you must do a trip to Havana!

| said: I had a fabulous time here last year. The hotel is absolutely lovely as are the grounds which are kept immaculate. The beach is beautiful and only yards away and the water truely is crystal clear!! If you don't want to leave the hotel grounds, there's loads of sports and activities available. There's loads of water sports available too and when I went, there was a banana boat and every afternoon a guy came by and you could go up in the air on a sort of dinghy with wings on it which was pulled along by a boat. I'm sure there must be an official word for this thing!!! Anyway, it was brilliant, you could see for miles.
The staff were great and really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were friendly and nothing was too much for them.The rooms were kept beautifully clean and the clean towels which were placed on the bed were fashioned into the most amazing shapes; swans, boats, flowers etc.. Like origami!!!!
The food was great and apart from 3 meals a day (hot and cold buffet style), snacks and drinks were available 24 hrs a day. I only spent a few evenings at the hotel as I went into town so cannot really comment on the entertainment but what I did see was great.
There is an open top bus service which runs on the hour outside the hotel and this goes all along the coast of Varadero and then into the town itself. For $2 you can hop on and off all day and if you keep hold of your ticket, you can use it to go out in the evening too.
I loved my stay here and would certainly go again.Have a great time!!!
