We booked what we thought was the holiday of a life time at the Occidental Grand Aruba!
On arrival at Aruba airport we were told by our reps that the Occidental was overbooked by 41 people and the only hotel avalable near to it was a 3 star!
How can a big company like the Occidental do that to families that have spent months saving and looking forward to their time away!

| said: We travelled to this hotel at the end of August for a 2 week break. At first there was some confusion as we were told that we were in the wrong hotel! After booking in and relaxing over a cocktail - there were no complaints. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly. The only thing I would say is that the hotel was in need of updating. Having a casino in the hotel was fantastic although my bank may not agree. The hotel is right on the beach which was clean and had a bar! Out of all of the holidays I have been on the food was some of the best buffet food I have tasted. Will definatley go again!

The hotel satff are the friendliest ever, the hotel grounds are clean and the hotel rooms although a little dated were cleaned on a dialy basis, as well as having clean bedsheets and towls i teh bathroom on a dial basis also.
The food was brilliant - far too much choice - but hey we never complained.
Theirs a few pool tables, a casino and a few shops available in the hotel, a massive pool with 2 jacuzzis and a waterfall. The beach is a stone throw away to clear blue water. You have a daily beach towl service from 6am - 5pm. The hotel is perfectly loctaed to one of the best beaches and in between the Hyatt Hotel and Renaissance Hotel.
The hotel has a show Mon-Sat from 9pm til 10pm which has a daily theme from Moulin Rouge, Grease, Frensi, Broadway, Circus in the sky and much more. My daughter loved it and the dancers/actors who put on the show could not have tried any harder A Star for effort.
We can't wait to go back.
