| said: we have been to icmeler many times and usually stayed at the Marti 5* hotel, and thought we woud give self catering a try, we would thoroughly recomend the Gondol as a place to stay and eat, the staff were excellent the location excellent, we had a few snacks and all were fresh and tasted delicious - the only negative comment we would have is that the room we had room 14 did not have black out blinds and the room was very warm as it got the sun all day - apart from that we would stay again and hope to return next year....

| said: Hotel is in a fab location, right by the canal, close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Family run hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms could do with some new curtains and maybe a toaster but it's so cheap to eat at the hotel and the restaurants we didn't bother using the room to cook.
The bar-b -que night on Wednesday is great fun & great value.
Ollie will play the latest dvds for you at the reception tv. They also have a Wii - great fun after a few cocktails and Efes!
The gondol has many repeat customers, at our stay 4 couples had booked again for next year.
Ideal location, very friendly staff, very clean.

| said: Apartments very basic but clean. Apartment kitchen area in need of better facilities, toaster etc, 2 ring hob not enough. Air con very good but at an extra £30 per week it should be.Apartments could do with a bit of a face lift but in fairness everything cleaned to a good standard. Staff very friendly on arrival and coninued to be so throughout our stay. Supurb location, food good there.Always had sun beds available whatever time you went to the pool.May be a few umbrellas at poolside would be good.

| said: We have just returned from 1 week at the Gondol, and are already planning to go back next year for 2 weeks rather than the 1 week.
This was the 2nd time at the Gondol for us, and the 2nd time in Turkey.
The Gondol a great place to get to know people as the staff create such a friendly atmosphere.
The food is very good, we didnt use the cooking facilities. The pool is just big enough and plenty of space for the sunbed area or shaded area if it gets to hot.
The Gondol is ideally situated for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants as they are only 5 mins away.
Most people return to the Gondol as its such a great holiday.

| said: We arrived at the Gondol late evening to be greeted by Mustafa and Japon. First impressions with the room as we dropped our case was very bright and clean.
The room had a 2 ring hob, fridge and a kettle, but I didnt use any of these, so I cant comment on the cooking facilities.
The bar area was kept clean and tidy at all times. The pool was quite small, but there was plenty of room for sunbeds.
Our rooms were cleaned daily by Jimmy and Casey, and bed linen and towels were changed every few days.
The Turkish night on Wednesdays was a good night, with good food and entertainment.
Air Conditioning is available at a charge of £30 per week. Safety deposit boxes are available for £10 per week.
There is a supermarket attached to the apartments which is open 24 hours a day.
The extensive menu is very good and food is well cooked and presented by Doran the Chef. The onion steaks are lovely as are the English breakfasts.
Efes is 3.5 lira, local spirits 6 lira.
We met a great crowd in the hotel, and it was very sad to be leaving for home, but I promise to go back and see Olley, Mustafa, Jimmy, Casey, Emine, Japon, Doran and Selim in October on my return to Icmeler. Not forgetting Cookie the dog.

The location of the apartments are great as you are in the centre of everything and do not have far to the beach.

| said: Gondol Apartments is in the ideal location in Icmeler.Central to the beach,resturants,bars,shops and street market.
The apartments are kept very clean by Jimmy and Casey with clean towels/sheets every other day.The pool is small but spolessly clean as is the poolside area.
The poolside bar has the most extensive menu and food is available from early till late.
The best thing about Gondol is the friendly atmosphere created by the staff.Ollie,Mustafa,Ozman,Rizza,and "Top-Chef" are great fun and make sure that there is never a dull moment
There is table football and pool competitions,and the Turkish night is not to be missed.
We will definately go back!

They are always there if you need anything at all
Jimmey and cassey are always there to help if you need them the rooms are basic but are cleaned to the highest standard nothing is too much trouble.
The shop on the site is always open night and day the staff are very helpfull if they have not got anything you won't the will do there best to get it for you the next day.
We are all looking forward to our holiday in June this year and to see all our friends that is how we look on everone at the Gondol.

| said: The staff in the Gondol are fabulous they are so friendly and cant do enough for you. Jimmy, Casey,Ollie, Mystafa and all the boys and Cookie the dog. The apartments are basic but very clean, As another reviewer said that they had clean towels every day and bed changed, we only had clean towels and bed once which was a bit dissapointing. Also the cooking facilities were basic only a kettle and 2 ring hob, impossible to cook there really. Just a toaster and microwave would be ok. The shower also needed upgrading maybe a cubicle instead of the old curtain, Sorry to moan but I have to be truthful.
Pool very small but spotless. We like a bigger area so wont probably go back. It depends on what you want and even though the staff were fantastic we dont spend a lot of time in the hotel.

| said: Great holiday and great views from the balcony. The Gondol is situated by the canal and is around 200 metres from the sea.
The apartments themselves are much better than the impression you get from the brochure and are cleaned daily, with sheet changes twice a week and towels changed on alternate days. The cooking facilities are basic with a 2 ring hob and a kettle and enough crockery, cutlery and pans for 4 people.
All the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Attached to the Gondol is the Venice restaurant and directly across the canal is the Majestic restaurant, both with friendly staff and excellent food.

Honestly think the cleanliness of rooms are fairly poor, on the account that my towels and bed sheets were cleaned just once in the two weeks I stayed.
Also you are not even supplied with extra toilet roll. However, apart from the hotel. Icmeler is actually a very nice resort with very nice people.

| said: This was our first visit to Turkey and a last minute booking. The Gondol is ideally placed in the resort, close to everything but not noisy.
The apartment was spacious enough, and very clean thanks to Jimmy and Casey. All the staff were first class such as Salman, Tom and all the rest.
Great fun was had around the pool with everyone from staff to guests joining in and getting to know eachother.
the food at the Gondol was very good, recommend the t-bone steak and the ottoman.
Overall a fantastic holiday we will go back to the Gondol.

Its situated behind the Venice fun bar and restaurant on the canal, ideal location for beach,shops and night life.
All the staff at the Gondol were fantastic, nothing was to much trouble and made you feel very welcome.
Wednesday Turkish night was good fun, and for the full 2 weeks we were there was entertaining!!!
Will definitely go to Gondol again, hopefully next year.

The staffs are 1st class from ''jimmy'' the cleaner, to cookie the dog. Salmon the manager is very friendly & helpful as are all the staff, especially ''tom'' the barman.
The food is very good & the whole place clean.

The cleanliness was of very high standard .Gondal was situated right on the canal within easy reach of beach shops and bars / restaurants.
Salman the hotel manger very friendly and very helpful could not do enough for us. Tom was a bar person who was fantastic with our children and to could not be any more friendly and helpful.
Overall the Gondol apartments were of very high standard and would recommened to any one of all ages.

Ok, the pool isn't that big but with only 15 apartments it's fine and there's a beach a couple of minutes down the road. What makes it is the staff that run the place. Within no time, they made us feel like part of a family and nothing is too much trouble.
The Wednesday barbecue night is good fun with great food. The location of the Gondol is central to everything and Icemler is a beautiful resort.
Only been back 4 days but hoping to plan a return trip soon. Ollie, Salman, Jimmy, Casey, Raz, Cookie and all - hope to see you again.

| said: I have stayed at the Gondol couple of times and its just the best. Salman, Ollie, Cookie the dog the rest of the staff are the best then theres Selen and his wife not forgetting Nanna.
Its a holiday you'll never forget they all look after you Salman and Ollie can't do enough, nothing is to much even when we couldn't stay there cos it was full we used to leave our hotel and stay at the gondol all day, go back get changed and right back to the gondol.
My husband, Scott, has been going to these apartments for 8 years and will not stay anywhere else not after the time we couldn't get in and we ended up in a hotel on the beach we only slept there but that was ok with all the staff at the gondol still looked after us even drove us back at night.
Last year my friends and my family came there with us and they can't wait to go back this is a place for anyone any age you'll have a great time.
Jimmy and Cassey are lovely they keep the place so clean not a bit of mess anywhere and they are both lovely people and their little girl April is just has lovely has them so what are you waiting for you want a great holiday and you will have one here.

The gondol is right in the heart of icmeler a small and freindly place the staff are second to none what wonderful people. We now class them all as family and still keep in touch.
We enjoyed it so much we returned in Sept 05 and we already have booked for Sept 06 cant wait to see our Turkish family again. Also the Venice resturant does wonderful chinese food and steaks.

Stayed at gondol apartments. Could not fault in anyway. Everyone very nice, polite, friendly, caring, excellent food wherever you go.
Booked again for next year, can't wait to see them all again.
Very clean place, the canal looks a picture at night when it is lit up.
The beach is kept very clean everyone is so helpful. Made lots of friends, looking forward to seeing you all again in September 2005

Best place to stay in Icmelar only 14 rooms, kept spotless by Jimmy & Casey. Clean pool, sunbeds always available.
The appts are in a good location beside canal, shops & restaurants. Beach and nightclub within a very short walk.
Gondol has a huge number of return visitors year after year. I myself have booked to take my family back Aug 05.
All the staff at Gondol are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Self catering, but good food available. Also a 24hr shop on site.
Plenty of trips to go on.
Can't wait to return ....a great place for all the family and i can highly recommend Gondol.

The actual apartments, clean and bright, and kept spotless by the lovely Casey and Jimmy, and what can I say about our lovely pals Salem, Ollie and Salman, they welcome us back every year like long lost friends.
Can’t wait for September, when we will be back once more.

| said: We booked a last minute deal on the internet and although aprehensive at first we were delighted with the Gondol Appartments in Icmeler. It is a small block of 14 appartments set in the heart of Icmeler, just off the canal and behind the Venice Restaurant, although having said that we didnt find it particularly noisy. The staff were very helpful and friendly and also the other people staying in the appartments were friendly, many people it seems book early to return to these appartments again and again. The appartments have a small bar and restaurant area where food and drink can be served up, there is also an onsite shop where you can buy all the basics you might need. The rooms and pool are kept extremely tidy. All in all no complaints and I would definately reccomend these appartments to everyone!
