This was our second time we visited akasya this year we also went in july with 4 friends we had a really really good time and came straight back and booked for september. The second time round there were 6 of us and we just went for 1 week although it was alot quieter and there wasnt as much entertainment we would still recommend akasya to anyone and consider goin back there again next year. The staff we'r really friendly and couldnt do enough for you especially porno and charlie, The hotel its self was really clean and tidy we had no problems with the rooms as they wer both really clean and had air con.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon claire, sam n ellie.
miss you charlie xxxxxxxx

This was our second stay this year. First time in June, it was fantastic, second time in Sept, bit quieter but still great.

Rooms basic but very clean, don't go on hols to cook, food in hotel very good and marmaris boasts over a 1000 places to eat.

Views could be better but you don't go away to stay in room either. Poolside is great you get waited on hand and foot and kids had a great time on slide.

Staff are fantastic and cant do enough for you. Met three groups who have been already this year and who are all going back next year including us, can't wait.

Special thanks to Servet and Charlie.

Hotel was brilliant, lovely and clean. Self catering facilities were a bit basic but we managed. There was food available in hotel which was nice but nothing special, fairly priced for what it was.
Location was not too good, not too much of a walk to bar street, but definately a taxi ride down to the beach front.
Most of the staff in the hotel were really nice and very helpful, there were a few that were definately not!
I dont think i would visit here again, but i enjoyed my stay.

we have been on holiday to marmaris before.but i must say.that the akasya appertments were the worst that we ever stayed at.the staff were ignorant.the food and drink are most expensive we have come across in marmaris.the appertment was small no real self catering vasilitys.no views from any balconys.i would not recomend any one stay at akasya as there are much nicer self catering appertments in marmaris with friendly staff.who are not out to rip you off on the price of food and drink.

We got back at the end of aufgust 07 from this aprtment and we could not complain untill it was time to go home..... nobody wanted to go.....
Our room was cleaned daily.... if you are in the room they tended just to empty the bins if you are out or on the balcony they cleaned all through and left clean towels twice a week and asked if we wanted bed changing if we was in.
Could not fault the location you are literally 5 mins away before you can see the main town and harbour and if you don't like walking the taxi stop is literally outside the door who will take you anywhere even to another turkish island.... the hotel staff were great... they make you so welcome especially Ali who would get in the pool with you and quite often pinch any water guns and go around wetting you while you sit in the heat which was welcomed as it was very hot 46 degrees and above most days and felt hotter
Entertainment was not that impressive the snake man was actually a woman just dancing around the room with a snake around her neck WOW! not... and didn't even arrive untill almost 11pm...... the best night was the turkish night with BBQ.... eat as much as you like for 25 lira (about a tenner) with entertainment including dancers (be prepared to join in) the breakdancers were excellent.... food was ok from the menu but not really any better than anywhere els it is a welcome in a morning to have an english breakfast for 4 lira which is the same price for a bowl of cornflakes which is just over £2 in english.... apartments was basic a 1 ring portable hob... a fridge with a freezer compartment built in then 4 of everything like plates cups etc but no kettle or toaster there is an electric coffee maker... hope you packed ur coffee beans as we saw none.. we was in the lower floors and had no pool view or garden view we had a 5 foot wall view outside on the balcony with chickens walking along every morning to wake you up crowing but the people outweighed any negative points would definitly recommend it to anybody and would go back again

We've just got back from staying at the Akasya & we had a great time. The apartments were basic but included everything you needed for a two week stay,The cleaning staff were great they came everyday to tidy round and empty any rubbish you may have and changed towels & beds twice a week. The bar staff (Charlie and team) would do anything for you they was brilliant. The food in the hotel was ok but nothing special. There was only one night of entertainment in the two week we was there and that wasn't much good but there was always plenty of fun and laughs by the pool in the daytime. The location was good near to the marina and the beach.I would go back again.

We have been to Marmaris twice before and we were very disappointed with the Akasya.

On arrival at 0530 we were shown to a room with a puddle on the floor, no balcony or self catering facilities and pipes that rattled when anybody in the building ran water/flushed toilet etc!

We were moved the following day after tears and tantrums but we were not satisfied with the level of service we received.

The hotel was loud with shouting and screaming girls waking us up through the night - what is the point of having a security guard??

The beds were clean but the mattresses need replacing. Pool was good but too many badly behaved children.

Will not be returning.

The hotel was great, we loved it!

It was clean and tidy the rooms were cleaned every other day which was a bonus.

We went slef catering so end up eating in the hotel often and the food was nice a little expensive but wortyh it.

The staff were legends! and friendly so we got on, thanks to hassan, halil, charlie, porno and staffi for putting up with us.

The hotel was not far from the clubs and pubs which is what you need so didnt cost much to get there and back, but drinks are a little expensive in turkey.

We are going back so watch out!!!!!!!!

akasya was very clean, bedding and towels fresh every three days.
the chef was great and his food fantastic,we usually eat out but we ate in the hotel a few times and the prices were very reasonable.
a quiet area but only five minutes to mariner and the front.
the staff were great very helpful and good fun.

the entertainment was good but only on a couple of nights.

in july i think the hotel is mainly for young ones i dont know about the rest of the year and they do disturb you when they come in at 4 in the morning on, the good side you do have the pool to yourself till about lunchtime.

Akasya Apts OK if you are young. Too much noise at 5am in the morning. In quiet area, not far to walk to bars etc, but in the heat it seemed to take forever.

Food seemed ok although we only ate breakfast there. Bar prices quite cheap.

Swimming pool quite big, and not many people put towels on the sunbeds first thing in the morning.

I personally would not go back to Akasya but I do recommend it to the youngsters.

Most of the staff seemed friendly.

We really enjoyed are stay in this hotel!! We would definatley go again! The staff were fantastic even Ahmet! HaHa! We stayed for two weeks and although we were self catering we ate quite often in our hotel, the food was of a good standard, but found it better to eat out at evening time.

Our hotel rooms were cleaned everyday and bedsheets and towels changed everyday. We were very happy with the high standard of cleanliness.

If you require aircon you must ask at reception for a remote otherwise you wont get it!!

All food and drink that you have in the hotel goes on your tab for you to pay at the end of your holiday, but we would advise you to pay it off after every night so it dosent get out of control!!

The pool was fantastic, perfect size and very cold so it cooled you off, as temperatures were 45degrees at times.

Drinks are served to you around the pool area.

We want to thank all the staff for the holiday of a lifetime. Hopefully we will see you again soon.

My friend and I have arrived back today from Marmaris where we stayed on a self catering basis at Akasya apartments.

The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly at all times. The pool was very good and plenty of sunbeds. The apartments offered restaurant facilities where we had breakfast each day and were looked after so well by Charlie and Hassen,Servet,Mustafa and Halil. They really couldnt do enough for all their guests.

We did eat out in Marmaris and also had some evening meals in Akasya and their food was just as good as anyone elses in the resort.

On site there is also an excellent hairdresser who has talent and a passion for his trade which showed in all the hairstyles he created for guests.

I would highly recommend this place,it was close enough to the beach and marina and Marmaris's famous shopping bazaar, but being arounf 5-6 minutes walk away there was no noise from bars etc on the nights.

I will certainly go back.

On a serious note they were helpful sometimes but it was a girls holiday so me Michelle and Nic just kept to ourselves.

I think I would go back as it was clean, entertainment was good...well what I saw of it anyways and the people there were nice.

Was sad to leave as I met some really nice people but there's always next year !!

I stayed at the Akasya Apartments for the second time The apartments were clean every day.

We went self catering but we sometimes eat in the hotel restaurant which had a good choice of food which was very nice.

It was a good base not to near the hustle a bustle of the night life but not too far away to walk there or you could get a taxi, which was just a minutes walk. The pool is a good size with a big slide and plenty of sunbeds for everyone.

The staff were excellent they really did there best to make sure you had a good holiday, Kevin "yes i am here" was a great laugh and was only too happy to help everyone, Jack the barman was good fun too he made everyone special cocktails, the other staff Go-Go and Ilyass were great and I miss them all. They made sure everyone was happy and did a lot of the entertaining.

The fire show was good and the turkish night was excellent with lots of food and entertainment on that night is a must.

Cant wait to go back next year and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at the Akasya apartments with a large group of around 30 family and friends. Jimmy, Kevin, Jack and the rest of the staff made our holiday fun as they were so entertaining and helpful, we even got to pull pints behind the bar.

Pool area was excellent and you didn't have to get up early for a sunbed, plenty for everyone.

Food was really good, apartments were very clean although some of the rooms were small and dated. Four of our families moved room but it was not a problem.

Apartments were a little out of the way in the residential area near, 10 minute walk to the marina.

We would definitely visit these apartments again.

We had a fantastic time cant wait to go back and see jimmy, jack, Kevin, ilyas gokhan and the rest of the boys. x x x

The staff work hard to keep you happy. They even had a pool party and came in the pool with us which the kids loved.

The food was not very good.

I found the staff very ignorant to us because we went out alot.

It was our 5th time in Marmaris so we wanted to go out and about.

Just returned from having had 2 fantastic weeks at the Akasya Apartments. Great location only 10 minutes walk into the town centre/beach front.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Jimmy, Kevin & Jack. Food in the restaurant was good, bar choice excellent with food being served all day.

The rooms were spacious and kept clean every day by the maid service with clean towels and bed linen changed twice a week.

The swimming pool is large with plenty of sunbeds. Would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone.

Just arrived back from Akasya apartments Aug 2006. Had a fantastic time.

Apartments were brilliant, couldn't fault them at all.

Lovely pool with large slide and the pool area was great we had no problem at all getting sun beds and there were 11 in our party.

The staff were great especially Kev, Jack and Go-Go kept us all entertained and couldn't do enough for you. The cleaning staff also deserve a mention they were so friendly and came in every day, even doing dishes if there were any left to be done.

The location was not a problem, about a 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to harbour area and the dolmus station was just around the corner.

We would certainly go back there and would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone, families and couples alike.

The hotel is a bit out of the way but there are plenty of dolmus's at the corner of the road and they are very cheap.

The staff were very friendly especially Kevin, Jack and Jimmy they made us all feel welcome (yes I am here yes). They kept us going in drinks all day and nothing was a problem.

There was a mix of Dutch and English people, previous reports mentioned it was a Dutch 18 - 30 in the summer but there was a good mix of ages when we were there.

We had 12 adults and 9 kids in our group and there were plenty of sunbeds and you didn’t have to get up too early to get one.

We didn’t spend many nights at the hotel but we did do the bbq nights, the food was excellent and so was the belly dancer and break dancers but the Turkish dancers went on a bit too long.

They have a hairdressers. massage room and photographer on site who takes fantastic photos. The food in the restuarant was of a high quality and the night time entertainment good. The pool area was lovely and plenty of sunbeds available.

Anything you order goes on your room number but its a good idea to pay it at the end of every day.

There was alot of Dutch compared to English but this was not a problem. Once you find your bearing the location is good and there is a dolmus station round the corner.

Overall excellent and would definitley go back again.

My cousin Allison and I with 2 year old neice Jamie jo stayed at Akasya Sept05. We had a great time, all the staff at front desk were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.

The chambermaids did a great job and visited our room every other day. The Chef prepared food to a high standard. the lads working the bar and the resident photographer were always cheerful, the gorgeous hairdresser( well !!!!! ) and SID who is just the nicest guy in Turkey, I want to mention the man who looked after the gardens, I cant remember his name , but he would chat to us each morning.

A central location, with town centre and beach only 5 mins walk away and a taxi service on the doorstep.

I want to keep this hotel/apts a secret because I want to go back there this year Sept 06 and probably every year after.

Just a great team...loved it!

The hotel itself was very clean as was our rooms they were cleaned every day with clean towels every third day.

We went self catering so we ate out most of the time but the hotel food was very good and reasonably priced.

The location was not too far away just about a ten minute walk away from the beach, shops and restaurants.

The hotel staff were fantastic, they could not do enough for you they all made sure we had a good holiday.

They have a turkish nite on a Friday with a BBQ,belly dancer and break dancing which is a good night not to be missed.

I would certainly go back to the Akasya and recommend it to anyone!

For our first holiday in Turkey we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The room was very clean - the cleaners were in every day.

We had a ground floor room facing the side, where there were cats and chickens in the garden, and goats across the road !

We woke up to cock a doodle doo everyday ! We went self catering but were having hotel breakfast, with the charge being put on our bill.

We spent plenty of time out and about away from the apartment, and were happy to come back to the apartment and spend time at the pool, having a drink, playing pool etc.

There are very good other facilities available if you want them at an extra charge eg hairdresser, massage, beauty treatments. We were told that in July the place is used for Dutch version of 18-30 holiday, but it was more family / couple orientated when we went which was good for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to have a laugh with them. They were hard working and couldnt do enough for us. The food we had was ok, nothing special but quite acceptable and reasonably priced.

Hotel Marco Polo, Garda, Italy
Situated along the main road, with a very steep climb to the hotel, approx 1km from the town centre.
The hotel is very 70's in style, but adequately furnished and clean. 2 pools set in wooded areas, mean constantly moving around to catch the sun.
The staff are fantastic, and I'm not easily pleased. All speak some English, and try to hold conversations, which adds to the stay. The food is reasonable, 4 course meal each evening, ordered from a menu the previous night. Local wine is charged at around e10, and is e3 in the shop, but they have to make a profit somehow! Breakfast is only fair, but arrive early, as the choice is greater.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, as the plusses outweigh any minuses, and for the staff.

This was a nice hotel to stay in. We had a good view over the pool and a good big balcony. Thought the kitchen facilitles and bathroom were good too!

The food and entertainment were pretty good and the bar staff and drinks at the bar were great. It was a few years ago now but I loved the holiday. I feel in love with a wee waiter called 'Yas' when I was there. I was only young but he was lovely!! Haha.. not sure if he's still there.

Loved the staff!!

Definately recommend.

This was the first time for me in Marmaris (third time Turkey). This time there were about 95% Dutch people (I`m Dutch). Only 5 % were English.

When we arrived in the middle of the night, our toilet was broken. But the next day they repaired it very soon.

The swimming pool is great, especially for children. But the music at the swimming pool was very loud!

And yes, we also woke up from young people who were going out or getting home and made a lot of noise.

When you order your drinks, they put it on a bill. We decide to pay every day, because otherwise it`s too difficult to check it.

We met a Dutch couple who were here for the third time. They said most of the staff changed. They were nice guys, but if you are a young girl (like me), they come to you every time and make advances. The couple we met had great holidays over there, but this one, was the less till now.

There were different types of people. A lot of young (Dutch) people who came for a party holiday. And some families. Not really a good mix I think.

We had bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is not that much. Every day the same: some bread, tomatoes, olives and honey. You can better go to the supermarket (which is very close) and buy your own. Or just order their English breakfast.

Conclusion: I liked the apartment (very clean),swimming pool and staff. But because of the many young (party) people, not really the kind of holiday I`m looking for.

We have just returned Marmaris as a family of 2 adults and 2 children for the second year running although first time at Akasya. The site itself we found was very basic but the staff were very nice and we could not fault the cleaning staff who were excellent. However we found this to be a very unsatisfactory holiday in that we were one of only a very small minority of english, let alone families. The majority, about eighty per cent, were young dutch adults who were allowed the run of the hotel, with no consideration for other guests. This meant no peace to sleep in the early hours. We feel this hotel was being differently promoted by different travel companies,in this respect our travel company was probably more at fault, although a hotel with two per cent of english guests surely has some responsibilty. We feel english families should be made aware, as the small amount of English we did manage to meet, were of the same opinion and as disappointed as we were. This was a holiday we did not enjoy.

Akasya Apartment - Marmaris - have stayed there before when it was known as Club Nest. Nice quiet spot near enough to the beach and nightlife but quiet at night. Staff really, really helpful and food in the restaurant is of high standard and lots of it. Hope to go back - SOON!!!!

We booked independently and stayed at the Akasya Aparmtments previously known as Club Nest. Wonderful, cannot praise it enough - staff really helpful and food really reasonably priced. Nice quiet spot but near enough to all the action. Will definitely go back if we can - hopefully again this year!!!

My family & I have just returned from our 6th holiday in Marmaris, all of them have been spent at this apartment complex, formerly the Club Nest. Although only 1 of the original staff is currently working there, the staff there now were extremey friendly and very helpful, great with the kids, the rooms are cleaned every day, air conditioned, satelite tv, fridge, shower & bath, our room over the pool & bar was a pleasure to sleep in even late at night.
I cannot praise the staff at this place highly enough, We look forward to seeing u all again next year,
The apartments are a 3 minute walk from the bazarr, supermarket and the town centre, The food is extremely good and a large menu gives plenty of choice. Thanx for the great birthday from Jon & Sarah
