We felt this was the perfect family hotel. Food very high quality and excellent choice. The hotel was very clean. Hotel room was an ok size for a family of 4. Entertainment was first class - Thomas Cook entertainers were excellent. There was something for all ages: mini disco, bingo, show and day to day activites. Kid club was good.
The 3 pools were very good and the kids loved the slides. I can't understand why anybody would complain about the hotel as from our experience of far more expensive hotels, it's far superior!!! The walk into town takes about 20 minutes which is not too bad.

A fantastic holiday - just worried about news that Thomas Cook no longer in the hotel.

(hotel)the club julian was one of the best hotels me and my family have ever stayed in. the hotel was very clean and staff was always cleaning.(food) the food at the julian was fantastic. we have been going to turkey for 10 years so we thought if the food was bad we would just eat out but there was no need there food was five star. we ate in the restaurant most nighs as we always liked what they was doing. my job is a chef and i am very pickey but the food was out of this world and the sunday dinner was like your nanners dinner yum yum and bbq night was fantastic to. (location) at first we was not sure about the location as we have always stayed near the frount and the julian is not. but it was fantastic because there was loads of bars and restaurants by the julian go to mad boys its fantastic but do not go untill about 10 that's when it gets good. the beach was about 10 minutes away but is was good as you could walk your dinner of.(hotel staff) the hotel staff was very friendly and was always happy to help you, they all spoke great english and was quite funny when you got to know them.(entertainment) what can i say it was fantastic i have never lafted so much in my life they was always something going on. the entertaiment team was fantastic to and really maid our holiday when you go talk to amy and jay they were the best and always went out there was to make your holidays as fun as they could, there was things to do all day like killer pool work outs in the pool with jay, wayer pollo and bingo. then at the night time they started of with the kides disco and games adults you can join in if you like it fun. then they would go onto the family entertaiment, they do singing dancing quizes you name it they done it. all round the entertaiment satff made our holiday.

I fail to see how this is a 4 star hotel as the rooms were certainly not 4 star. We had 2 rooms, the studio was ok for my 18 year old son but the 1 bedroom apartment we had was very inedequate. The hotel staff were fantastic, especially Adele, the guest relations lady but the entertainment team should have been shot as they kept playing the kiddies records too fast for them, not that I have small children but people who did complained to them and they took no notice they just seemed to be there for their own enjoyment. For the amount of people staying there in high season, only a handful were left in the evening as the entertainment was so terrible. We used to go up the road to a bar called Chicago which was fantastic and everyone is very friendly. I liked the 4 swimming pools because you were not all cramped around 1 pool but if you want to put your towels on your sunbed, you have to stay with them otherwise a man comes round and takes all the unoccupied towels away which was a good idea. We were told that they are planning on overhauling the rooms again over the winter period and if this is done, I would go back there again but not stay for the evening entertainment. My other son had to see a dr at the hotel (stiches in his leg that got infected) and both the dr and nurse were very good. You use a tom tom to pay for everything and we found this really useful as you didn't have to carry money with you and everytime you used it, you got a printed receipt and it told you what balance you had left. The Havana shop was always busy with people getting turkish shaves or haircuts and the tattooist was always busy but beware of the manicurist as she is brutal and made me bleed twice and she didn't sterilise any instruments she used and she rushed you. Also the turkish massage was very good as well.

The food wasgreat and the Chef making the omlettes always greeted everyone with a smile. (He must be roasting)
The Hotel was spotlessly clean and of course the location is ideal as it is a little way from the hustle and bustle but only a 50p bus ride away from the centre. Staff are brilliant including Bar Staff, Catering and reception staff.
we didn't sample the entertainment but know the Res put in 100% effort.

Just back from a week at this excellent hotel/apartment. Rooms cleaned every day and the staff were very friendly and always willing to please. It was starting to get busy the weekend we were leaving but with 2 pools there didn't seem to be any problems. Nearby restaurants were very friendly and reasonablly priced. The Turkish restaurant next to the Julian caters for both tourists and locals and the mixed kebab was delicious.

Booked trips from Ozzie - right down the road opposite the Julian. He certainly looked after us and was cheaper than the tour companies.

If you go to Marmaris, please, please don't miss the Talk of Town - it is an excellent show. We laughed the whole night and after the show there is entertainment outside on the patio.

There was a Mosque very close by but the 'call to prayer' only last a couple of minutes and we didn't hear it after the first couple of times.

Enjoyed our holiday so much we are going back in September/October this year.

This was the last week in october and the weather was still hot but not overbearing. We were very happy with the hotels appearance and layout. The room was clean and tidy, with a kettle and cups but supply your own tea, coffee etc.
The hotel was about 1 mile from the resort main street and beach which is easy walking or a local bus service for £1.
The food was good especially the barbecue evening, the waiters and staff were always willing to help. The pool and sun bathing area were clean and tidy but probably needs more sunbeds.Evening entertainment was performed by an enthusiastic team of four with occasional traditional performers which was fine but not every night viewing.
The hotel is quite near a mosque which sends out calls to prayer, but this can be heard all over the resort and only last a couple of minutes at various times of the day.

I travelled with my cousin shes 26 and i'm 23, The weather was fantastic despite being the last week of october. We was self catering and ate in the al carte restaurant inside the hotel and the food was delicious, during the day as you sunbathed the waiters would come and ask you if you wanted anything ordering, so we didn't even have to get up! For cleanliness 10/10 the maids came every morning they even left us rose petals on the bed as well as arranging our towels into hearts and on our last day they even wrote us a letter! For entertainment again 10/10 there was a variety each night we saw belly dancers, snake charmers and a fire eater to name just a few, the reps did a fantastic job despite us not bringing children, as i saw them constantly entertaining them throughout the day, adult entertainment starts about 8pm (but children can stay). As for staff they were all without exception helpful and very friendly, if they couldn't help you they would direct you to someone who could. The bar staff were again great, without them i would not have enjoyed my holiday as much, they provided much humour come evening time and service was fantastic from all. For location it is a distance if you want to walk in to marmaris centre (about 15/20 minutes) but taxis are outside the hotel at all times and it's about £5. The market is well worth a look for some great bargains, there is alot of clothes shops. I would well recommend the day cruise (can be booked from the hotel) we saw a boat race and the views were fantastic, with many sun stops so you can dive off the boat into the sea, which many did. There is so much on offer to do in marmaris that you just wouldn't be able to sample it all in 1 or even 2 weeks.
This hotel was fabulous and I can't praise it too much and I would recommend club julian to anyone who is interested in going to marmaris, I enjoyed this hotel so much that i've booked again to go next year!

Family of four, daughter 17, son 13, half board. Son had a great time, slides at pool but only open twice a day, he made loads of friends. Daughter had good time also, missed the shops as hotel a bit far from resort centre. Because of end of season found restaurant was winding down in regards of food variety, but meals were good. no mention in our brochure half board was available if going self catering, you can upgrade for about £60 per person, which I would recommend, great value for money as turkey is no longer cheap, pint of lager £2.20, glass of coke £1.50. If late flight to keep room £25 until 8pm. Rooms were very clean, even though toilet paper has to go in a bin, these are emptied every day. Satellite TV in room which was great as had a movie channel. Internet available in reception £2.50 for half an hour, 5 pools tables at a charge, waiters very friendly I was worried bout my daughter being pestered but it was ok. I would not like to go in peak season as hotel will be very busy, restaurant and limited beds around pool, they were all taken when I was there end of season. Hotel is brand new, I was told will be upgrading self catering apartments this year, they seem to continually upgrade every year different sections. Brochure pictures are not correct, restaurant is much nicer and bar area also. Weather was fab 28c, at home it was snowing. Dalaman airport very expensive, McDonalds meals £11.00, coffee £4, water £2, dirty free also expensive, buy in home airport. Will I go back, yes, thinking of booking for 2009, end of season though due to school hols.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice and friendly. How ever the entertainment at nigt was shocking, it was the reps. Me and my family were there for a week and we are still waiting on the reps to speak to us, entertainment for the children during the day was poor, (i.e volleyball, football, water polo), we never found out there was a kids club until the last day of out holiday, but we would have if they reps had taken the time to speak to us!! The reps were more intrested in speaking to the english.

Weather beautiful, hotel outstanding, and the food also oustanding they cater for all tastes.
Entertainment a big let down after being to another sun center(bourganvilla Park majorca) reps work hard, but enetertainment shocking, we didnt have much(or anything) to do with the reps they tended to stick to certain families. They need more for younger kids other than kids club, activitieswere aimed at older children e.g water polo and pool competions, when our children are only 6 and 8 yrs old. So we went out every night to the local bars, Rainbow is a recommended fun pub as they have free pool table, internet and plkaystation for the kids to keep them occupied. There is no laudrette at Julian and they wanted £12.50 for a bag. in brouchure there is no indication of this. Hotel brilliant would definatley go back... we recommended Dalyan trip to mud bath, book with No name had a great day. Beware, Turkey not cheap anymore, alcohol and cokes etc expensive, they don't want to barter, and people we knew got thrown out of shops!

The hotel was spotless they cleaned the room every day and changed the towels and sheets the same.our room was a studio on the roof, this was to small for 3 people but we had a huge balcony with great view's,and also the air-conditioning was excellent.the food in the hotel was excellent but a bit expensive. You could go out side the main entrance and have a breakfast for £0.80 and the same one inside the hotel for £3.00.we have been to turkey 8 times but we felt that this apart/hotel was a bit to far from the front but you could catch a dolmus for £0.50.the staff were very helpful with what ever you wanted but we felt the entertainment was a bit drab.so we went out most of the time.the drinks by the pool and restaurant are very expensive but you could nip out and buy them from the shop outside. We would stay again but would recommend staying half-board.

the staff seemed friendly enough genna was really nice and the hairdressers. the entertainment was rubbish for a 4 star we stayed in these apartments before and thought about going back becuase it was a suncentre my children didnt like the entertainment and there was no shows on just the entertainers doing the same thing.
i would not go back to the club julian hotel but i love turkey and am going back next year i have been 6 times love it.

When arriving at the Club Julian, I noticed that the reception staff were not very warm or friendly (although I put this down to the volume of check-ins and the staff feeling under pressure).
The apartments for my family were varied - my room room was small with an inadequate balcony, were as my father was given a large room with an enormous walk through balcony.
If going to this hotel DO mention that you would prefer a large balcony as ours was uninhabitable.
The hotel was clean and the maids were lovely and worked incredibly hard.
The entertainment was not great although the entertainment team did their best with what they had.
The hotel's breakfast was dismal but there evening meals weren't too bad - although the restaurants around the area were alot better and very reasonably priced.

I found Club Julian an excellent hotel to stay in!

The reception staff were friendly enough, all the rest of the saff were far more friendly.

The hairdressing staff and supermarket staff were the most friendly people you will ever meet!! (i give a 4 because of the reception saff)

The food was also really nice and very good value, the maids were very good at there job as the place was spotless.

The only thing that lets the place down is the entertainment, which was a big let down.

Apart form that i CANT wait to go back next year!!!

On arriving at the Club Julian apartments we were a little disappointed with our room, felt it was tatty and very basic. After speaking with our rep we were informed that the part of the hotel we were staying in had not been renovated, she quickly and efficiently found us a better room for 10 Lira where we were much more comfortable.

The room was cleaned daily by Selma (our room maid) and what a fantastic job she did, we found all the hotel staff incredibly helpful and polite with the exception of the reception staff who were expressionless.

The weather was very hot and we made full use of the three pools which were immaculate. We chose to eat in the restaurant at Club Julian and found the waiters lovely the food exceptional and very good value. The Thomas Cook reps were superb and the Entertainment staff were the best you could ever get.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Club Julian and would definitely visit again.

Our special thanks go to Kim, Genna, Rob, Emily and Billy the resident Thomas Cook entertainers who made our holiday better than we could have expected - Is a genuine 4 star place!!

I cant fault the Hotel, it was immaculate, everywhere kept very clean.
We stayed in the 2 bedroomed apartments and they were again very clean and very spacious. Had no problems with noise etc...
The location was ok, we knew before we went where Club Julian was so knew we had a bit of a walk down to the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel so its not a problem.
My main grumble is with the staff, many were pleasant, the kids reps worked hard and were friendly but the day staff bordered on being miserable, unless you were young in a girl group and aged between 16 and 25 you barely got a smile out of them. We were however told by a few people who had stayed here 6 or 7 times that the staff are usually more friendly.
We initially picked this Hotel above others because of the slides for the kids but they were only allowed to use them from 11am--1 30pm then 3 30pm--5pm when they closed for the day, my sons were not happy with this. Maybe in peak season they may be open all day.
We didnt stay for the entertainment but judging by how many young families were there as we walked through i`d say it must have been ok.
Apart from lunches, which were very reasonably priced at the snack bar, we didnt eat at the Hotel. We found the drinks to be expensive, dearer than the beach for efes and other local drinks.
I have said i would not come back, its ok as a base but i prefer a smaller Hotel with more of a personal touch, i.e the staff speaking to you and having a laugh with the kids.

Well May 5th and everyone was really excited.. it was amazing from we got there. when we got off the coach the bell boys were already the there to carry our luggage up to our room. they were really busy so we just waited 5 minutes up in our room and they were already there. the fun us kids had was amazing the parents did too. everywhere was so clean and tidy. there was people walking round tidying non stop. the staff were very kind and always were smiling or saying hello. entertainment got a little boring as was always the same. and even the youngest got bored of it. the food was brilliant. everything about it was brilliant.. shop and tattooists staff were brilliant. good laughs. definitely go again.. we are booked again for may this year 39 days cant wait.

This was my first time visting this hotel and reading some of the reviews i was a bit concerned with what to expect. Well all i can say is that i glad i went and im looking to book up again asap!!!!!

I went self catering but upgraded to half board once i was there. For £60 and adult and £20 per child, this saved the stress of having to find a suitable resturant every night for my children, who are fussy eaters!! The food was fantastic, different slection every night and never once were we let down. The children loved the food (which was a first) and had extra helping seach night.

The staff were all very friendly, not in any way slezzy that you often read in some reports. They were very quick with serving you drinks. The hotel operates on a wrist band, where you put money onto it so none of the shops or bars/resturants deals with cash.

The staff work very hard all through the day and night, especially the entertainment team. They were the real ones who made our holiday, they kept the cjildren entertaned throught the day with all their activities and endless energy. A big thank you to the team, Kim, Jenna, Billy, Rob and Emily you were brilliant!

The surounding areas including hotel area and food courts were exceptionly clean. The staff were never shy at cleaning however the male room cleaners need to be more efficient. From speaking to other guests it seems you were better to have a female cleaner then male. But for what we used of our apartment it was very clean.

The pools were very safe and clean, the water slides made endless fun for my children, aswell as myself if im honest!!!

The best thing about this hotel is not having to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sunbed!!!!!! There were plently around and were available at any time of day.

Club Julian cant be faulted for their hard work, cleanliness of rooms, pools everything really.

If you had kids its the place to be,but the fact we booked a quiet relaxing holiday, well thats not what the Julian is about.

There is so much going on all day and night.

We stayed self catering so our room was away from the main pool and bar,so it wasnt noisey. As we didnt purchase the bands,we didnt have much to do with the waiters.

We ate out for every meal.

I cant say I would never go to this hotel again, but next time I would know what to expect.

Loved my stay at the Club Julian it was a brilliant experiance.

The Food was ok in the hotel but I think it is very cheap to eat out anyway so we only stayed in the hotel for a couple of lunches.

The Club Julian wasn't in the best location but it was only about 20 miniutes to the beach all the children realy enjoy the waterslides.

The people working were very nice especailly Bero the hotel tattoist he was very funny and a nice guy the entertainment was for young kids and ended too early but all in all it was a lovely hotel and I will be going back this year.

Upgraded to Club Julian on arrival as we were in a very bad hotel, my thanks go to Kim the Manos rep for recommending this hotel

Found the hotel to be very nice, entertainment from the British crew was fabulous, and made our holiday so pleasurable,

Felt the same with previous comments that our cleaner did not do much cleaning, and kept trying to clean when we were in, and saying he will just clean the next day, I felt this let the hotel down badly, our cleaner was a male, have heard, the female cleaners are good , it’s the first time in any holiday we only tipped the cleaner on the first week, and no tip on the last week ( on reflection should have asked for my tip back )

We arrived self catering but upgraded to half board, would recommend this to anyone as you still have the self catering facilities, the food was very good for Turkey, but found if you eat outside the restaurant at 8pm, you had the noise of the kids disco next to you, while you ate, but the upgrade was far cheaper than eating outside, I think under 2 are free and under 12 half price, we upgraded for the 10 days so it gave us the option of eating out for a few days

Sarah the British head rep dealt quickly and efficiently with the complaints I had, (but in the end, it was my confusion in the running of the hotel, that the mistakes arose)

I would recommend unreservedly the Club Julian, and send Entertainment crew Chris, Marcia, Emily, Claire, Kieran and Billy my many thanks for the enjoyment they gave us, and for making our stay so memorable

I stayed at Club Julian for two weeks last year. was my first time in Marmaris and i loved it so much i have booked up for this year at the same hotel. The rooms are spotless and a good size, pools are very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved every minute of my holiday.

The food at the pool bar was very good but i did notice the money on the wrist band we had didnt last very long so we often went to the shop across the road for drink and the supermarket is very close for a big shop.

There is an excellent restraunt at the end of the street called Bad Boys which was lovely.

Althought the beach is about a 15 minute walk from the holtel, there is everything you need near by, including a bus stop.

There is also the kids club which was great for the littles ones and they love it.

If your looking for a nice holiday then i would 110% recommend this place. I cant wait until September so i can get back.

2nd time in marmaris but was the 1st time at Club Julian and it wont be the last. checked prices online then booked through airtours / going places shop.we went Half board this time as it was alot cheaper than self catering and bed & breakfast so do check half board price first.
Hotel was very nice and very clean. towels and bedding were changed regularly. room was cleaned daily but cleaner never polished and never swept up just mopped the floor around trainers etc. hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly.
air conditioning is free, remember and open front and clean the 2 filters regularly , to hire safe is £25 for 2 weeks ( 60 lira ). fridge is also charged to hire but dont pay for key, just lean on the door and fridge opens anyway.
there are 2 restaurants in the hotel however you can only eat at julian restaurant while half board.you have to pay if you want to eat at the la carte restaurant. the food in the julian restaurant is buffet and has a great variety for all. the food is superb. we ate out some mornings and some nights for a change at nearby restaurant " yes sir " which staff were brilliant and food was great. full english breakfast was only £1 each person if you want a change from the hotel food.
hotel location was ok, not far from shops and beach.if you jump on a no 2 dolmus bus for only 1 lira each person ( 30p ) it takes you to all the shops , beach front, and bazaar where there are around 600 shops to visit under one roof.
entertainment was poor at julian ,same sun center team doing all the entertainment every night.only seen 1 act that came in after 7 days of us being there.also the girl that does the karaoke was very bad at singing and it seemed to be her singing all night.it got to the stage that people were going out at night for better entertainment as it was so cheezy entertainment at the julian.
kids club was a rip off , wanting money off you 3 times a week , not worth it. billy from the entertainment team was brilliant with everyone and he was great with the kids. he gave it his all when singing and dancing. welldone billy !!!
my 7yr old daughter was in the pool majority of the time as she loved the water slides. she didnt like any of the kids daytime activities as she felt that some of the activities were more suitable for younger children. ie throwing a beanbag. whippeee !
tattooist on site was superb, good value for money and excellent at his art work, everyone was commenting on how good he was.
club julian uses a wrist band system which you put money on and use it to buy drinks and food. you just need to check your reciepts all the time and keep an eye on your money on the wristband.
we will definately be going back next year to the club julian, it was well worth the money for half board for 2 adults and 1 child it was under £1000. very good value for money but hopefully night time entertainment and kids activities have improved for next year.

we stayed in the hotel, the room was reasonably sized and fairly clean. we tipped the maid and she kept leaving flowers in our room. the reception staff are very pleasant and some of the waiters are nice. the variety of food is very good for what you would would expect in turkey. they also have a childrens buffet with chips, chicken nougats etc. we never got ill from the food but my two children and myself caught a stomach bug in the last week there. other people in the resort did also. hotel location is about 25 mins walk to the beachfront. the hotel entertainment is very good for children as they have kids disco every night. the entertainment team do a christmas themed night, however inappropriate for summer its hilarious! their serious attempts at dancing and singing are a must to see! beware though one of the female entertainers makes cruel remarks at you on stage to get a cheap laugh! not very nice.

We chose to stay self catering to have the flexibilty of being able to where we wanted and when. However we did eat lunch everyday at the pool bar and once had dinner at the "a la carte" restaurant. The food was very good and reasonably priced. There was an option available to buy a meal package one we were there...looking back this would have been cheaper for us but we didn't realise how much we would actually buy.
The location is good- best way to get into the resort centre is certainly the number 2 blue bus that comes to the end of the road, only 1 lira each way. The hotel is a good distance away from the more hectic part, which is nice. There is a mosque next door to the hotel from which you can hear prayers four times a day...this was not a problem for us, as it only lasts a minute or two, and it is a nice reminder that you have come somewhere a bit different on holiday.
Some staff were very helpful (ie reception and cleaners) but others were very dismissive towards us- especially when we were sat as a group. for example... we went to order food at the pool bar where the waiter told us to "give that to the kitchen" (the chitty). we were brought our food- which was fine, but when we asked for sauce we were told by the same man "im not your waiter". i went over to where we ordered to ask another man who just pointed over at the fridge. we found this service not really up to scratch to say we were in a 4 star hotel- and the inconsistency of the members of staff made it worse.
The entertainment was good- was happy to have something to do every hour or so...although it was the same everyday- kids waterpolo-adults waterpolo-quiz-bingo which got a bit boring. if you want to sit back and relax in peace i would recommend you going to the beach instead. the kids seemed to love it though!!

the facilities were great and I would visit this hotel again

It was our tenth time back to Juliann; it just feels like we've never left the place. We go every year in august, and come back feeling happy yet sad!

We had self-catering as always, but sometimes had breakfast in the a la carte. Top-ratings towards the chef!

Rooms- we always got woken up by the maid knocking on our doors, wanting to clean. Very polite, shy timid working people, which we have our many thanks towards!

Staff-Very friendly, especially the barmen! Ahmet will always be my favorite, with his cheeky grin and foolishness.

Pool-nice and cold. Very refreshing after a long day out on the jeep safari or shopping in the local markets.

Entertainment- Seeing as it was me aged 16, my twin sister, my brother 18, and my parents, the entertainment wasn’t exactly targeted towards us. Mainly based on the children, which they looked to be having the times of there lives!

Local restaurants- Yes sir's is our favorite restaurant, and have become very close friends with the staff, so we have our top-ratings towards them! Nightime is always very lively and jam-packed. The local people make you feel very welcome and happy towards their culture.

my family and i travelled to club julian in august of this year, and to be honest i was very doubtfull about the whole 'turkey' experience(after all you hear the horror stories about the waiters hassling people and the like).
to be perfectly honest,it was probably one of the best holidays that we've been on.
i was totally suprised at how friendly the staff where, and catered for our every need.
upon arrival,we were shown to our room, and were made very welcome by everyone at the hotel, and around the area.
in the hotel they have a tag system(which is a great idea,as you don't have to carry any money around with you).this is like a watch type tag, that you can top up at any time,,which can stop you from over spending.
the entertainment at the hotel was excellant(both for adults and kids).our 2 loved 'mad marsha','cheesy chris' 'enegetic emily',chocolate eclair, bouncing billy and all the others(i can't remeber all their names,,sorry guy/girls).
for families we can't recommend this hotel enough!
we would say that once you've visited the 'club julian' once, you'll be addicted!
you can eat and drink outside the hotel a lot cheaper, but to be honest,it all depends on your budget.
DON'T book any excursions through your reps though,,cos it's a lot cheaper to go and see 'ozzy and eddie' just down the road(come out of the hotel, and go straight down the road opposite,,'ozzy and eddie are on the right hand side,by the clothes shop). these guys are great, and won't rip you off.
we can recommend the jeep safari(it cost us £20 for the four of us,and that includes your lunch as well).
marmaris as a whole is lovely,,there's plenty to do for all ages, but beware of the guys in the bazaar(especially 'elvis barbers',,,these guys do con you!!
i wanted a turkish shave and a hair cut,and they said 10 lire, £4 for the both, and my wife wanted her eyebrows plucked, when we went into the shop i sat down and they started to shave me,then they put a mud pack on me and started to massage my shoulders(to be honest i thought,my god this is good),,but when we got outside the shop to pay they tried to say £25,,which is roughly 60 lire...make sure that you pay them beforehand,,we eventually told them that they'll get no more tahn £15,,which they weren't happy about, but just be firm with them)
you'll find that in the markets, the stall holders can be overpowering, and try to pull you into there stalls,,REMEMBER TO BE FIRM WITH THEM,AND ALWAYS HAGGLE FOR THE BEST DEALS!
overall our holiday was great,,and it's the staff and entertainment team at the 'club julian' that made our holiday, and we will DEFINATELY BE GOING BACK FOR MORE! TOP CLASS HOTEL AND STAFF,AND WELL RECOMMENDED!

entertainment's team are the best that I have seen and remembered my family from the prev year and are the best at what they do. They make the kids and adults holiday complete.

After a pretty poor start to our holiday we were moved to Club Julian and my first impression was 'wow!' The hotel and apartments were spotless. The pool area was clean and the staff were excellant. Full marks to all the guys and girls out there who worked through extremely hot conditions to entertain and look after their customers. The restaurants around the complex were fantastic with loads to chose from. I will def be returning to these apartments next year and there after. The staff were really helpful and when a problem arose with our air conditioning they had it sorted out within a couple of hours. Fantastic holiday!!!

All the staff including waiters, bar staff and reception treat me well making me feel special. I always start my holiday with a fantastic massage and Turkish bath getting my skin ready for the sun. The food is always ample both in choice and quality and the service always with an eager smile. THe Jeweller and Orhan in the gift shop are always eager for a chat and to tell me the latest news of Marmaris including the best boat trips and places to visit. It is nice to shelter in the gift shop to escape the extreme heat.

Just returned from the Julian and we had a fantastic holiday. The hotel entertainment is very good especially for the younger ones, they will be kept busy all day by the very hard working My Travel team. Although we stayed self catering we ate in the restaurant on a couple of occasions and could nt fault the food, the continental breakfast especially. The pools are well maintained and kept clean. Lots to do round and about and Marmaris centre/beach is only a 20 min walk away or 1 lira on the dolmus. All in all a very enjoyable stay and a must for families with younger children...

Just returned from holiday at Club Julian, absolutely brilliant. The staff from the bellboys up, are by far the most pleasant we have ever come across. The entertainment team were exceptional with the children and the full hotel in general was fantastic. The staff could not do enough for you and you were met with happy people at all times, even although they all work an incredible amount of hours each day.
The hotel and pools were spotless, cleaned daily. There were lots of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The main centre was a bus ride away but this was no hassle at all. We will definitely visit this hotel again

Hotel very clean staff freindly and helpful entertainment team very good. They work very hard and make peoples holidays as enjoyable as possible.

The waiters work very hard all around the clock six days a week and still smileling at the end of there week, nothing is to much trouble for them.

Trips are very good and good value for your money, example myself and my wife went on a boat trip mid day meal encluded for £6.00 each.

Village and culture trip is very intresting when you go to the village and see the children they are very friendly and wave to you then you look around a lady house and meet her. People are very freindly in Turkey.

Book your trips outside hotel cross the road, straight in front of you is a road, walk down it till you come to first shop on right, Ozzy he's called, less than half the price to reps and get and do the same on every trip to there as well.

We will definitely be coming back to Club Julian next year because we had the best hoilday ever. If your half board you have got nothing to worry about food is fantastic and nice and hot, and something to suit everyone.

Cleaners do an exceilent job cleaning your rooms they really do work hard and use a hoover, clean towels everyday, sheets are always clean.

Entertainers do a very good job keeping everyone entertained every day and night they are really crazy and very funny.

We were in Club Julien in June 2007, room was alright but the air conditioning could have been cooler, it took about 10-15mins when you entered the room for air conditioning to come on. The room was very warm by then.

The hotel I thought was too far from the main shopping area.

We went to Talk Of The Town, rep said it was about 10 mins walk, it took about 20-25 mins by then my feet were a bit sore.

Food was alright not a lot to choose from in the morning, there was always cereal you could have.

Waiters and staff are friendly, polite, and up for a laugh.

Only one slight niggle this year, the big pool was closed twice because some clown let there baby empty the nappy in it, but it was closed straight away for cleaning, hygiene is spot on. I think they should have an age restriction in the big pool let the little ones use the kiddies pool, because when it reaches nearly 100 degrees and the pool is closed you won't be happy, other that that faultless.

Any problems see Sarah the guest relations manage, she walks round all day and will sort anything out for you instantly, 2008 can't wait coz we'll be back.

We just got back from the Club Julian in marmaris and we are going to give a little about the hotel.

Hotel... when we got there we went into the reception where it was very quick booking in. We were given our key for room and our bags were taken there by a member of staff what was very nice in deed.

When we got to the lift we were told that our key works the lift so as we got into it there is a slot to put the key into and when you had done that you had to press what floor you are on. Very good idea to stop kids playing in them .

Room......the room we were in was really nice. Plenty of room and what a surprise to have a full sized double bed. The rooms are very clean and all have air-con which is free. There is a kettle for making a drink and also you get a bottle of water and coffee, tea, sugar on your first day there what was very nice.

The rooms are cleaned daily and they are cleaned to a high standard. There is a TV in room what you can turn on and also manually turn the channels over but if you want to be idle you can get a remote at reception.

Wrist band ....... you pay ten lira deposit for this and its like a credit card. You put money on it at reception and you pay as you go. You cannot pay money for drinks, food, shop but you can in the two shops in reception area (gold shop and small shop) watches and games, perfumes etc.

You cannot pay tips in money but as we found out you can put a tip off your band.

Pool area... the pool area is very well cleaned and maintained. You got 3 pools and small kiddies pool. One pool (big one) as two water slides what are open twice a day at the moment and when they are open there is a member of staff at the top who makes sure the kids and grown ups use it right properly. There are plenty of sun loungers.

Food..

Breakfast....is very good and they do cater for everyone but if you are a bacon mad type of person then you will not be over impressed.. they do put bacon on but only a couple of times a week there is omelettes every morning that you can have with mushrooms, cheese, tomato, ham and there is a chef who makes them fresh to order out side..

You can eat in and outside (out side you may smoke if you want). There is plenty of choice and we did not find anything bad at all.. all in all breakfast was very good.

Evening meal .........very good as well plenty of choice for everyone. Soup, bread, salad, cold meats.. hot meals are very good as well. Always something for everyone and also a kids meals as well ie the norm chips, burgers etc. All in all very good.

Bar ....... there is plenty of room and drinks are not bad at all. You can get a jug of beer for approx 12 lira what is approx 4 to 5 pints so not bad at all.

There is a English pud on site called drunken duck what is open 24 hours a day and for 18 up. There is three big size pool tables as well in the bar out side where the entertainment is as well.

The entertainment team work very hard all day as they start in the mourning for the kids. And they do things as in drawing water polo and the kids do enjoy all the things on offer for them.

The shows at night are a good laugh and they get lots of people joining in. They do a mini disco for the kids from eight till nine what is brill. The team work very very hard and do deserve a big hand for there hard work and commitment..

Staff ........ they are very polite and see to your drinks food and never stop from morning till night. They work 12 hours a day and never once seen one who is unhappy .. they are a credit to the hotel and themselves and make this hotel one of the best in Marmaris.

Sum up from us...
If you have kids and you want a relaxing and enjoyable holidays and you are looking for a good 4 star hotel then like us you will love it. We hope to go back soon and hope this helps you all and gives you a good idea of the hotel and staff...Dave and family.

We went to Club Julian apartments in October o6. We stayed in the top floor of the duplex it was clean but stairs were very steep.

We ate in the hotel a few times the food was great. I liked the watch idea as our kids could go to the shop and buy things which meant you didn't need any money. It was our sons birthday while we were there and we booked a party for him through the reps they were fantastic they came over to him with a big cake and made a big fuss of him.

The only thing I can say is in the apartments is that you need to buy your own toilet roll as you only get supplied with first one which I thought was very strange as I've never had to do this anywhere I've been.

We have booked again and going back in June 07 can't wait

Well this was the first time i went to turkey and i wasnt with my family, i was with my best friends. So with that in regards i had a really good time.
It firstly took me a while to adapt to the poverty stricken country because im so used to england, but it was good. I felt a bit awquard because turkish people are pervish and a bit over the top with young children which i didnt like at all, especially with my best friends little sisters.

The hotel was brill. barber was ace and was funny. Staff overall very friendly (eesh)! And the food was nice but i just had bad poos for a long time after. I also was ill after coming back but all is ok now.

The swimming pool had constant floaters and i found that sick swimming in poooo!

My best friends little sister pooped in the water and they got a lil poop scooper to scoop it out, i smelt like pooo!

My family and I stayed in a single room. There was a double bed a single bed and a travel cot and buggy in it and we still had ample room. The room also had a bathroom with bath and shower great size.

The room was cleaned everyday and was immaculate. The maids would make your covers in to pretty shapes.

Hotel location was great for us as we were traveling with a 9 year old and a 7 month old. It is a good 1/2 hour walk to main part of Marmaris and beach or 7 lira in a taxi.

There are no words to describe the hotel staff from pool clesners to managers... They are all fab and made our holiday better than fantastic..

The Entertainment team Crazy Keiran, Mad Marsha,Chocolate Eclair,Elastic Emma,Loupy Loo,Georgous George,Cheezy Chris...... This is the first time I remembered any names of the entertainment team! All the family enjoyed the entertainment night after night. The food in the hotel was fab and we all enjoyed it even our 7 month old.

We will be going back to this hotel next year.....

This hotel is classed as 4 star we would class it as a 2 maybe 3, the rooms were cleaned daily and towels were replaced.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which we found to be on the small side 2 people to a wardrobe, on arrival our room smelt of sewage on making a complaint we were told it was the smell from the wall being newly plastered in 1 of the bedrooms even though it came from the bathroom it was solved by a bowl being put over the drain hole in the bathroom the smell came and went daily.

If you want a lay in forget it or you will never get a sun lounger we met one couple who had to eat breakfast separate so 1 of them could stay with the sun beds, if you leave your towel and go off be prepared for it to be taken away by the hotel staff this happened to us and we had to root through a huge pile before we found ours!!!!

The Hotel was very clean and tidy

The rooms were cleaned to a satisfactory standard each day and clean towels were also provided each day.

The food in the snack bars was pretty good and relatively cheap compared to outside the hotel. However several days after returning home I am still suffering from extremely bad diahorrea.

However now for the negative points

The Club Julian had 3 pools – 2 fit for swimming in and one just for children to paddle in.

One pool had to be closed 3 times when human excrement was found floating in it. A small net was then used to scoop it out. The pools were never drained when this happened.

The signs “No Diving from the rocks” could be found scattered around the double pool but this just seemed to encourage everyone to attempt to dive in from the rocks. This is an accident waiting to happen!!!

Sunbeds were scattered round each pool along with bodies at various stages of tanning.

Getting a sunbed was practically impossible unless you did not mind getting out of bed at daybreak. We only managed to get 3 sunbeds twice during our 14 night stay. The same people could be seen sitting in the same places each day and the rule of not reserving sunbeds by leaving towels on them was never implemented.

My wife was even threatened by one bleached blonde lady as she decided to take our umbrella without even asking our permission. The phrase “I will throw you in the nearest pool” was used in a snarling manner against my wife.

Every afternoon the sound of the young inexperienced entertainment team could be heard organising:-

1. Bingo
2. Killer Pool
3. Water Polo
4. Childrens Talent Contest

The eldest rep according to the notice board was only 22 years of age

But things got worse because in the evenings the holiday reps provided all the entertainment; pity that not one of them possessed any form of talent.

The holiday companies need to get a serious grip on the problems in this hotel.

Using the internet facilities was practically impossible as children monopolised the 3 pc’s each day by using the chat facilities – msn, yahoo etc etc…

Obviously we will never be returning to this hotel.

I could have written far more but I think I have made my point!!

Room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned daily and you got fresh towels daily, the complex was great for our 2 young teenage children the entertainment was for younger children and very little for adults.

It could be a bit lively around the pool during the day but it suited us, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We ate a few times in the complex and the food was ok. They had a wristband system you used instead of money you put money in at reception and use it to buy items in the hotel.

When you go out of the hotel you have to get used to getting bothered from resturants and shops I got used to it after a few days other people didn't but I found the people very friendly and helpful.

Overall I found the hotel and Marmaris very good just one thing outside the hotel and to your left there are taxis that will rip you of make sure all the taxis have there meters on.

This was booked as a last minute one week holiday to tag along with some friends who had already booked.

Booked Self Catering as we had our 13 yr old with us who would have been charged as an adult on a half board basis? Upgraded to Half Board on arrival for just over £100 for the three of us for the week - excellent value for money (receptionist on arrival said "She is 12 isn't she" and winked at us, so got charged as a child which was good of him as she easily passes for at least 16).

Food was average, not as good as the Bonaire in Cala Bona in Majorca but plenty of it even for the fussiest of eaters. Fresh omelettes are available for breakfast and are really nice but you have to go outside the dining room to get these and we only found them on our last day.

Hotel really clean and staff friendly. One day our bed was made up with the sheet all fanned out and rose petals and leaves scattered all over it - very impressed. Wristband idea to purchase all drinks and snacks on site good idea but make sure you get your receipt to check how much you have been charged.

If you are in the hotel side, don’t pay for the key to the fridge, if you push down on the top of the fridge door you can pull it open.

Buy your soft drinks from the shop on site as you get more for your money, the only thing is you don't get a glass.

Scramble for sun beds is the same as for any hotel, you are not supposed to reserve but everyone does, the hotel staff do sometimes come around and remove towels but it's not then end of the world.

The call to prayer from the mosque is entertaining during the day but could get on your nerves at 5am, fortunately we were on the opposite side of the complex so didn't really hear it.

Don't but your excursions from the hotel, go to Ossie just down the road straight in front of the hotel, none of the other excursion operators will be any cheaper (they all charge the same), he's handy and a really nice chap and changes money at a really good rate.

We went for a day boat trip, fantastic day sailing around the bays stopping off every now and again to swim in the sea. Lunch included and all for £12.50 for the three of us.

Didn't partake of the entertainment other than having a go at the afternoon bingo one day. More geared up for smaller children and not really our thing.

The hotel is quite a way from the main Marmaris centre but that is no bad thing if you want something quieter. We walked back from the Atlantis Aqua park and it took about 40 minutes but we were not going very fast and were not sure of the way back.

Excellent value for money this hotel. Very clean, well maintained with excellent courteous, helpful staff. Entertainment team certainly very popular with the children which would be excellent for a family, but all very very old hat for anyone older than 8 and we weren't impressed with the imported acts at all. Poor quality local acts, even poorer quality acts from home, infact one of the entertainment team was much better vocally than the singer shipped in. Better entertainment to be had (for all ages) in the local bars/restraunts who vied very hard for passing trade. I think we hit a rather quiet 2 weeks, which was brilliant for us as a couple simply looking to chill out all day.

Leaving the hotel complex was an adventure not for the faint hearted as the Turkish bar owners & traders don't make it a pleasant experience at all. It is simply impossible to have a peaceful mellow stroll in the evening after dinner. In 2 words mega hassle!!! and I don't use those words lightly. We have travelled extensively and never experienced this level of hassle anywhere, ever before.

The hotel itself is quite far from Marmaris centre, but the little buses stop almost outside the hotel and are very inexpensive, very frequent and they run until 1am. Oh and DO take the taxi boat from Marmaris to Ichmelar - delightful experience and Ichmelar is where to while away your evenings young & old alike. Better standard of bars & restrauants, lovely beach walks etc etc

Our first visit to Turkey. While we would go back to Turkey & certainly go back to this hotel, but only as a couple.

Didn't stay all the time for food as we like to sample other restaurants, but had a lovely bbq on the Turkish night. We ate out most nights but during the day ate at the pool bar which was excellent and had waiter service. Wrist band excellent idea.

This hotel has been well thought out and has everything under one roof.

The location was great not too busy but not far on the dolmus to Marmaris. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous.

The entertainment team worked hard & there were plenty events going on during the day & night for both kids & adults.

Me and my family had a fantastic holiday yet again at the club Julian.

Although the Entertainments team where different to previous year they where amazing this year the shows are very professional and they keep the adults and children happy day in day out of the holiday, whether during the daytime or of an evening. A big well done the Crazy Kieran and the team they made our holiday one to remember and we will be going back.

The Entertainments team had a new TOWEL service which I wish we knew about before we left because the room and weight we chould have took more of our own clothes and bought more goodies from the weekly markets in Marmaris and Icmeler. All it cost is 10 lira per towel per week per person thats only (£2.70) and we changed them twice a day. If you haven't already been there yet and you are going leave you towels at home and take advantage of this service. "EXCELLENT"

The hotel it's self was spotless and full of friendly staff, drinks at the bar are a little bit more than outside but it's worth the extra to sit and watch the entetainment.

All in all a excellent holiday thanks to everyone who works at the Club Julian.

We stayed at the Julian on a half board basis the food was good even a grill night and a Sunday roast but the childrens buffet was bad ie tandori fish one night.

The cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic and the rooms were comfortable. We were first allocated a room at the back of the pool which was tiny and the mosque woke us at 5 am but we changed rooms and all was well.

The entertainment staff work their socks off and there is usually something going on at most times. The childrens playground is terrible my 2 yr old spent most of the time in a pushchair and the playground was one of the factors of booking but we found the Rainbow bar around the corner with swings and a slide. Children 5 and over would love this hotel.

The hotel was too far out for us with a 20/30 min walk to Marmaris although a Dolmus does stop at the end of the road. There are plenty of bars and resterants close by but the baggering from them and trip sellers and shops really gets on your nerves the worst I have ever come across.

The Rainbow bar was the best we found locally and they are great with the kids but doubted the strength of the spirits a bit?

I have stayed at the Club Julian for the last three years.

They pride themselves in pleasing thier guests. I have never been dissapointed. The food is superb, the cleanliness is excellent and that is what takes me back, the cleaning staff are brilliant and if any problems arise they are dealt with immediately.

Cant say about the entertainment as not taking children I dont know. it is a bit far from the centre but walking into the centre is quite pleasant.

All the rooms are furnished lovely and on arrival its nice to have the bottle of water with the kettle and coffee available, also providing hairdriers is another plus.

I cannot say anything negative about the club julian and would recommend it to anyone, with or without children.

Hi all, first of all this hotel is spotless, rooms done every day, towels every 2/3 days, cant fault the cleaners at all.

We were staying bed & breakfast,we had the option of upgrading to half board when we got there but decided not to as we like to eat out and a little later than the normal dinning hours. It looked like a good deal to upgrade and I had a little peek in the restaurant one evening and the food looked great and plentiful.

The hotel is located in the Armutalan area which is a short dolmus ride from marmarise town centre. the hotel staff were great,no problems with anyone, waiters can be a bit of a pain asking this and that, but a no thanks and they are gone, drinks round pool can be a little expensive, as can the on site supermarket,go to the one just outside the hotel even though you are not allowed to consume your own drinks round the pool area no one said anything to us.

Now the entertainment, as stated in a previous report this is very British and if this is what you like then it is great. We are very easy going and had no problems watching the mini disco etc, etc,.

Our children are grown up but the friends we travelled with have children and they loved it. If you can keep your children happy on holiday then you'll be happy too, from past experience keeping your kids happy is a battle at the Club Juliam you can win the war.lol.

The team worked very hard indeed, sorry I cant remember all your name's, but I think one young lady was called Maz or Marsha, she was mad/star.

All in all a great holiday, yes there is a mosque near by and you do get to hear it sometimes at dawn but it only woke me up once, but remember this is a muslim country and thats the way it is. Please dont do what one woman did, she went to the reception and asked if the could go and ask them to turn it down, what a cheek, made me laugh all day.

Have a great time where ever you go...Gavin & Debbie.

This was my first time in Turkey from the moment I arrived the staff at the hotel could'nt have been any nicer to you they were all so friendly.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent you got clean towels evveryday and every second day your bedding got changed.
I liked the way that you had a hairdryer in your room. The room that we had was very big.

We had pizza a couple of times by the pool side from the complex and they were really good we did have dinner there twice the first time was good the second time was not so good so we did'nt eat there again.

They had three lovely kept pools 2 big pools and 1 baby pool, they had free sun loungers, they also had a pool table, couple of game machines and also a kids club.

There was'nt much for my youngest son to do who is 6 year and is disabled, but we did find a brilliant pub not so far from our hotel the rainbow club we went there every night and the staff there was brilliant they had a swing, a slide, playhouse and also other things for the kids to do my kids loved going there. This is were we ate most of the time the food was okay.

We never stayed in the complex for the entertainment but from what I heard from every one who I was on holiday with they told me that it was brilliant.

Did'nt want to come home I was crying when I had to say goodbye to everyone as they were all very nice people and also friendly. I'm hoping to visit Turkey again next year hopefully marmaris again and if I do I would stay at the club Julian.

My two friends and I went to the Club Julien last week and although we had a wonderful time, there are a few points I would like to make.

Firstly, the hotel was very clean and we were very pleased with our room with balcony. The double glazed windows kept out any noise from outside and the domestic staff were very friendly and competent.

However, what let the hotel down was the constant badgering from the Turkish waiters, every day, all day. When we started to ignore them, they became quite hostile towards us. Some of them were very nice and their good behaviour was consistent all week, others let the hotel down by their childish ways.

Also, because the lift only works with a key, and only having one between three people, the walk up to the 5th floor was not pleasent every day!!

Overall the hotel facilities were excellent, this hotel however is for families and not single people or anyone without children! Trust me!!

Anyone wanting to take an early morning swim, beware, Sarah is watching on CTV! NO SWIM 8PM - 8AM!

Good standard of hotel accommodation, although lacking in storage space. Very clean apartments, with a change of bed linen and towels on a daily basis. All the floors are tiled which makes the apartments very noisy, with other guests not taking this into account when returning to their rooms late at night, with the noise echoing everywhere. Also very noisy by being located next door to the mosque, so woken every morning at 5:00 am. Didn't get much sleep!

Entertainment starts at 10 am and continues through to midnight - great if you have young children, but we felt like it was a Hi-de-hi Butlins style holiday camp. If you like bingo, karaoke, aqua aerobics, waterpolo, darts, pool, kids mini-disco, reps cabaret, bar crawl, infact anything typically British - then this is great for you - just not our kind of place for a holiday.

We found a nearby aparthotel, with a private pool to use, where we escaped to on days we wanted to relax.

We didn't eat in the hotel as we prefered to sample local cuisine in local restaurants.

We had a great holiday overall but just used the apartments as a base. Just personal choice, but we made a mistake in coming to such a large noisy hotel complex with tacky british entertainment. Would have prefered a smaller hotel without boom boom boom entertainment 14 hours a day.

The hotel is in a good location. Although you needed to catch a small bus if you wanted the beach. This only cost 1 lira (about 40p)

Everywhere was clean and tidy.

The entertainment in the hotel was good and varied from break dancer, belly dancer and comedian and singer.

I only booked this hotel because I got an excellent offer but it proved to be better than I expected.

It is now an Escape apart/hotel not a Suncentre but the entertainment was really good. There are 7 in the team led by Kieron aaand all are brilliant.I was in the hotel on the top floor facing the pool, unfortuately the mosque is 50yards away and wakes you at 5am every morning!.

These rooms are directly above the stage and the entertainment doesnt finish until midnight.A lot of people stayed in this area till 2am which means you need to take earplugs.

The rooms are spacious and have a double bed and 2 sofas. They have been refurbished and all the beds are new.To use the lift you have to use the fob on your room key which also operates the electricity. Our fridge wasnt working so I am pleased I didnt pay the 40TL for a key which you dont need as the door opens if you just press down on the door. The staff are very friendly and most speak English but dont really understand it.

The food is lovely and the desserts are to die for.The resturant is non smoking but there are plenty of tables outside. The childrens mini disco starts at 8pm so if you want to eat then dont get to near the stage! The hotel operates a Tom watch system which you pay at reception so dont need to carry money around the hotel.Even the hotel shop has to use this. The water is 2.99TL for 1.5ltr in hotel and 2TL for 5ltrs at supermarket nearby.Beer is 3.99TL,shandy 4.28TL and coke 4.28TL in hotel.

There is a large pool,a childrens pool and 2 small pools joined by a rock waterfall. There were plenty of sunbeds when I was there and there is a room next to pool toilets with about another 100,but with them all out it will there will be little room between them.Pool games take place at about 3pm.Music is piped to pool side and is varied and pleasent.Take ear plugs if you dont want to hear it.

There is a jewellery shop and a sunglasses/watch/CD/DVD shop in reception. To get to the beach you can catch the blue dolmus just to the left of the entrance on the main road for 1TL or walk straight over the road and down to the cafe Ibiza, turn left then right and straight down to the main road to the main coast road.

The Dolmus to Icmeler is orange and leaves from just in front of where you get dropped off.The only negative was over the road to the entrance was a smallholding with chickens and roosters and the smell is dreadful. If your room overlooks this you may not be able to open your veranda door.

The club Julian is great for families as the children are entertained from 10am till midnight.I think they should be made to sit down after their mini disco but some run around till midnight.

When we arrived we were pleased about the exterior appearance but once we checked in and got to our room we were very dissapointed.

The room is too small for 2 adults 1 teenager and one 8 year old, the teenager had difficulty fitting in his bed! The table in the room was heavily stained with marks from cups, glasses etc and the bath had mould growing around it.

We went down to ask the rep to move to a bigger room and she said she would fax the office to see if there was one available but wouldn't get a reply for the whole day.

I pointed out about the stains on the table and she didn't even offer to send someone to clean them, she just said we can't get rid of some stains, totally unacceptable, especially as I ended up cleaning them myself with a damp tissue.

Our balcony overlooked some sort of small holding which had a lot of chickens, cows and dogs, the chickens and cows stunk to high heaven, especially in the high temperatures and the dogs barked from very early in the morning until late in the evening, so using the balcony was out of the question.

I know you get what you pay for but this was supposed to be a four star hotel and there is no way it could be called that.

We ended up staying there because even though we wanted to move, there was no other room or resort available. If you want a sunbed by the pool then you have to contradict all the signs about reserving sunbeds with towels and do like everyone else does and go down and put your towels down there, otherwise, you just wont get one.

The pools were good, but with questionable hygiene, we saw one parent washing his child in the kids pool after the child had soiled himself!!

The location not to bad a few bars and restaurants near by and shops. A short walk away were the bus stop busses into town centre every ten mins or so right up till 1AM.

The staff were very friendly always on hand to help in anyway possible.(TOP BAR MAN WAS OSMAN)he couldn't do enough for you. In the end we ended up re-naming the bar OSSYS BAR.

The entertainment was 5* those reps really worked hard all day long.

I got back 2 days ago and have already booked my return trip next June with my daughter this time shes 9 and I just no she'll love it.

Myself, partner& children stayed at the Club Julian on a bed & breakfast basis as we thought set meals times would be to restricting, but found we ate lunch around the pool most days as the food & service was fantastic.

There was always plenty of choice & the staff were very friendly towards us & our children. Most evening's we ate out of the hotel purely for a change of scenery,we either went to the local resturant's or took a short bus ride to Marmaris town.

We thought the evening entertainment organised by the rep's was a little bit to tedious(even for the kids)but the traditional entertainment was great, especially the Turkish belly dancer! All in all we had a brilliant holiday & will be returning to the Club Julian very soon.

This is the second time we have been to the Club Julian the hotel wa spotless, room was cleaned every day bedding and towels changed regulary.

Breakfast good for adults but bit limited for children espeacially my 4 year old.

The pool area was cleaned through the day by the staff pools were great all my 3 children loved them as they had slides this year.

The airtours club was fantastic wish I used it for the 2 weeks I was there as I dont normally use them but my son asked to go and loved it the staff where brilliant.

Though the shop was expensive also didnt display prices so you wher conned when got to the till, do like the wrist bant idea as you dont have to carry money around with you.safe deposit box was very expensive to hire.

Hotel staff where brilliant very friendly and helpfull. espeacially in the drunken duck. Thanks for the football.

Entertainment was great in the day and at night reps really got you involved hope there their next year when we return.

Upgraded to half board on arrival.£240.00 for 2 weeks for 4 of us . Excellent food, plenty of choice although breakfast got a bit tedious after a while.

Hotel seemed clean enough with towels changed daily. Location ideal for us, as fairly quiet apart from cockerel at about 4am every day.most of the staff seemed polite and curteous.

I was disappointed with standard of entertainment. Ok for kids but a bit lacking for adults.a word of warning, anyone who has booked a duplex appartment with young children...forget it. The stairs in these are lethal. We had to be moved to a duplex with bathroom downstairs so kids did not have climb stairs. They were more like a ladder. This was subsequently flooded out in a storm,so we were moved again(3rooms in a fortnight).

Aside from this,Marmaris a lovely place and we found the locals very friendly, they loved the kids........dont book trips through reps absolute rip off and you can get for a fraction of the price 100yards up from hotel.

Just returned from Club Julian. The hotel itself is very clean in all areas with cleaners around all day clearing away any rubbish, glasses, plates etc.

The location is not too bad it just depends on your personal preference I travelled with my wife and 2 young children so I found it ideally placed for the kids to get a good nights sleep. If you want the livelier side of Marmaris the dolmus stop is only 100 yards down the road 1 lira to Marmaris town.

The hotel entertainment is good for the kids during the day but I did not think it was too good on a night which is a pity because the entertainment team are the same people night and day so lifting themselves to sing after already working 10 hours must be hard.

The swimming pools and slides are great, but a few children had ear infections from the slide pool, my son included, but this is usually down to people using the pool as a toilet.

The staff are very friendly, sometimes too friendly towards single young ladies.

The wristband system is a good idea but prices are higher than outside the hotel but your on holiday so who cares.

Our room was spacious and was cleaned and fresh towels & linen every day.

I stayed in the club Julian and I've got to be honest I cannot fault it, maybe apart from the high prices the hotel charged, but hey they have to make a living some how!

It's a buzzing hotel with lots to offer all different types of people such as bingo, water sports, mini disco, pools and slides and my favourite THE MUCKY DUCK (I spent many drunken nights in here after arriving home after a night on the town).

The location of the hotel is in a perfect area as its a enjoyable walking distance into the main town but even so theres lots of bars, restaurants and shops near to the hotel if you want to stay local.

The staff were quality we all made so many friends within the hotel staff they were friendly helpful and basically made are holiday a good one.

Myself and two sons went to Julian hotel it was clean the Turk staff were wonderful.

The English entertainers just didn't do it for us after living in Turkey for a long time it was just English riping English off.

With half board you don't get drinks with meals £1.70 for a glass of coke, mostly ice. Shame on the Turks.

Apartments basic but ok. Plenty of places to eat out, must try Rainbow restaurant. Pool area and sunbeds could have been cleaner. Loads of people visiting local doctor with ear infections - us included. Overall great holiday but definitely not 4*.

Just returned back from an excellent holiday. All I can say is the Club Julian was superb, clean, friendly staff and facilities.

The only problem we suffered was 2 adults and 2 children in one room which was clearly only geared up for two. Not enough wardrobe space and no where to put suitcases (bathroom in the end)

The swipe wrist band was convenient for paying for items on site but your money soon disappeard as drinks were expensive

Entertainment was excellent for children but very poor for adults. My two children were too old so we never stayed for the entertainment.

The 'English Pub' The Drunken Duck (which is on site and air conditioned)was a great escape from the Airtours entertainment team who were a little over powering

We upgraded to half board for £90.00 for 4 people and what a bargain. Food was excellent although breakfast was the same every day.

Overall a superb first holiday in Turkey

PS. Don't book any trips through the reps - they'll charge you up to 4 times more. We booked through kiosks in resort and saves ££'s.
Can recommend the Jeep Safari (£7 each) and trip to Dalyan (turtle beach and mud bath (£7 each)

The hotel itself was quite impressive, and looked far better than most we had seen whilst dropping people off on the coach transfer.

The hotel staff brought our cases up to our room promptly after our arrival, which wasn't until around 4am. By the time we had unpacked our essentials for that night we dived into bed, only to be woken up at around 5am with the loud speakers blasting prayers out from the mosque about 200 yards away from our balcony - Nightmare!! That in turn started the dogs howling and the cockerels crowing. After 5 nights with this early morning call we asked if we could move to an alternative wing, not quite as near to the mosque.

The hotel Manager was fantastic, he moved us the following day, and could not have been more helpful.

The pool areas were great, the kids loved the water slides and the rock pools. There were cleaning staff walking around all day, picking up any rubbish and generally keeping up the appearance of the hotel.

Plenty of Waiters also wandered around waiting for you to collar them to bring you a drink, of which you needed plenty as the heat was almost unbearable during the day and often at night. Thank God for the air conditioning in the rooms!!

The wristband system is a bit of a pain, you don't realise how expensive the drinks are from the bar until you look at your receipts from the night before! Infact everything on-site from drinks at the bar to the goods in the shop were far more expensive than the supermarkets outside of the hotel, we were paying 1.70GBP for a can of fanta at the on-site shop till we realised they were around half that at the shop 50yards across the road.

The evening entertainment was great if you were under 10 years old, we grinned and bared it coz our kids (8 & 4) thought it was fab!!

The centre of Marmaris is a good walk away, a definite no go during the day, it was just far too hot to be walking anywhere. We ventured out in the evenings when the heat was more bearable.

Our stay couldn't have been better, despite the early morning calls in the first week! All the staff were helpful and polite, and certainly tried to make everyone's holiday enjoyable.

Just a couple of words of warning,on arrival at the hotel you might want to hire the safety deposit box which cost 60YTL, a little on steep side I thought, and the mini fridge in your room will be locked, if you want the key it will cost you a staggering 80YTL for 2 weeks. I was gobsmacked when I enquired at reception and was overheared by another guest who told me not to bother paying for the key, just to push down on the fridge door and open it quite easily that way, which I subsequently did and saved myself almost 40 quid!!

On checking out of the hotel, you will get your deposit back for the wristband you receive on your arrival (5GBP or 10YTL), but if you have any money unspent on that wristband, they should give you that back too!! I had handed my wristband back to reception and was given our deposit back, but that was all, when my husband reminded me that we had around 40YTL left on the wristband I went back to reception, only to see 2 of the reception staff almost rubbing their hands together to see that I hadn't asked for my money back! When I did ask, there was no problem, they handed it over and tried to make up some excuse as to why they were viewing my billings on the computer and had my money in hand! but there you go!

All in all we had a great holiday with fantastically hot sunny weather. We wouldn't go back, but that was more to do with the resort than the actual hotel itself.

I went to Club Julian in July of his year and I absolutely adored it.

The hotel is very clean and the resort is buzzing. I travelled with my mum my dad and my brother(3). We all enjoyed the holiday so much we are returning to Marmaris in July 2006.

The Hotel was great and their is all sorts of stuff to keep kids occupied such as three pools, 2 slides, kids clubs for all ages, internet access, pool tables or even bingo!

The only problems I had during my stay was the ear infections which resulted from the cleanliness of the pool and the price of the drinks inh the hotel but aw well plenty of other places to go.

The hotel is still relatively well maintained however there are signs of some neglect in the bathrooms.

The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The cleaning staff were excellent and could be depended upon to clean the room every day, leave fresh towels and at the same time dress up the bed with fancy designs made from the sheets.

The breakfasts tended to be the same most days - scrambled, boiled eggs/omelette with either sautéed potatoes, German sausage or bacon and mushrooms, as well as the usual cereals, continental food stuffs and toast, tea, coffee etc. We ate in the restaurant one evening. It was very nice and gave good value for money. (£6 per adult £3 per child)It was cheaper the more nights you changed from B&B to BB&ED.

The pool area was very nice, clean and well maintained. There are three pools - don't sit too near the large pool if you want to relax as you will constantly get splashed especially as water polo games (arranged twice daily) are played in this one. The usual story concerning sun beds - not enough to go round with people putting towels down very early in the morning then going out for the day!!

The drinks in the hotel can only be described as extortionate!! This is both for soft drinks and alcohol. We took our own drinks to the pool and to the entertainment area at night. (They did have notices to say this is not allowed).

On arrival at Club Julian the check in was very good and a bell boy took the luggage to the room.

The room was nice and quite on the back of the hotel, the room was very clean for the duration of the holiday, the air con was a god send at night as it was very hot. There wasn’t much room for storing clothes. First impressions were wow! we liked it and the holiday just got better.

There are two big water slides in the big pool and these are great fun for adults and children, the kids loved them. You have also two more pools, one for the toddlers, and one called the rock pool for the kids to play in.

The resident photographer was very good don’t go home without viewing your pics, then have a good barter.

You get a wrist band to pay for everything around the complex saves you carrying cash. The beer was reasonably priced but the kid’s drinks were expensive.

The lunch time food at the pool bar was inexpensive and good. The evening meals were very good, the breakfast was good, don't miss out on the omelettes there fab.

The staff were attentive and very good at all meal times.

Entertainment was good and kids had plenty to chose from. Don't miss out on the fantastic plank steak served at the Corner steak bar just around the corner from the hotel.

We would recommend this hotel to any one with kids.

Please read the signs around the pools regarding showering after use as there were a lot of kids with ear infections including my youngest.

We would definitely go back to Club Julian and I think the kids would live there.

The hotel was a comfortable place as we had a small child with us the children's pool was fantastic, it was just the right temperature and the right depth. The larger pools were also good as the temperature was cold but after sitting in the sun or walking it cooled you down instantly.

The hotel was a 10-15 minute walk to the front but there was also a bus service which charged only 1 lire per person so was very cheep. To make the journey shorter to the front you had to find a simple way to the front.

The hotel food was ok as we only ate once on a night re the rest of the time we ate out, but the food was also ok.

The location was really good as it was quite on a night as is was out of the way so to speak, but everything was in walking distance.

The entertainment from the Airtours staff was brill for all ages. The mini discos were fab for the children and the adults.

The hotel staff were ok as they sometimes got too caught up in the English females, but that was not so bad because there were worse people outside the hotel, you just get used to them.

I would visit this hotel again, as every one was friendly and helpful, it is very good for families with the entertainment and the pools.

I would strongly recommend this hotels for families, also as small children can also join the children's clubs. The children's club has air conditioning and is very cool for the children. It gets them out of the sun gives them something to do and also gives you a hour and a half to yourself.

As we ate out unable to comment on food.

Location from Marmaris centre is a bus ride so extra expense on your holiday, walking it in the day is a no no.

Staff seemed polite, entertainment for my group was poor as most things were geared for children.

Plenty of places nearby to eat out, you must try the Great Corner Steak House, good food, children's meals, beer 50p, as they get to know you they start throwing in free beer.

As for the Julian well it reminded me of a cattle market, the Brits I think have taken over from the Germans for placing towels down on sunbeds at some ridiculously early times, 6-30am I kid you not.

If you are looking for a quiet holiday FORGET IT. Loud speakers everywhere, children running round squirting water guns at anything in sight. I can fully understand why families with small children booking the Julian as it's great for kids, but for families with older children forget it.

Our saving grace was the hotel next door, the Epic, a lot smaller but the quiet holiday we wanted, good pool, slide, sun terrace, staff great and they didn't mind us using their pool as long as we bought drinks.

Now the room, if you are unlucky and get a top floor room be prepared to continually duck your head as structure beams were incorporated in our room so a walk from one end to the other resulted in two ducks. Then of course you can strike your head on the sloping ceiling. Air con was ok for the two people sleeping in the room it was situated, but the two poor souls in the bedroom even with the door open were dying of heat exhaustion! So every night we dragged the double mattress in the living area so our girls could actually sleep at night.

All in all the Julian for us was not what we wanted and will not book this place again.

We will going back to the Club Julian for the 6th time this year. We have tried other holidays and my kids have not enjoyed them so much. As they have got older the don't enjoy the evening entertainment as much, but I think for the younger kids it is fantastic and I think the entertainers do a great job.

If you are thinking of going, the best thing to do is to book a self-catering apartment and up-grade to halfboard when at the hotel, it's not expensive and you can still go out to eat a couple of times. One of the restaurants to eat at is Mamma Mia, fantastic staff and food.

The hotel itself is very well run, if you have a complaint, we have found the staff only to happy to help. We have no complaints and are looking forward to returning this year.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained with your room cleaned every day.

Food was good with a buffet style breakfast and the fresh fruit was delicious. They also offer a good selection of food from the pool side bar which you can have by you lounger next to the pool.

Location is a 5 minute dolmush ride from Marmaris centre and the beach. You soon get used to the daily prayers from the near by mosque.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, we asked to move rooms and were moved the next day.

This hotel would have been perfect if it wasn't for the very loud entertainment every night till midnight. Impossible to sleep till the disco finished. You also had very loud music by the pool every day from speakers everywhere. There was nowhere to get any peace and quiet and you could hardly hear yourself think.

Great pools for the children, slides were a real hit with the kids.Kids Club was good suiting most ages.

The only thing we didnt enjoy was the entertainment at night it was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. The Airtours reps dominated all entertainment and they were awful. There was nowhere quiet to sit to escape it.

Although the hotel were very nice we're afraid to say that the entertainment team apart from one or two weren't that accomodating. Our hotel room was directly above the stage and the music was blasting out from 10am to midnight. When we say blasting out to a point where your hearing could be severally damaged.

We were given the option to pay extra to sit together on the return flight home only to find out that it didn't make any difference a nice little earner for Airtours.

As the journey from the airport was so long, we opted to go back via the Turtle Beach and Mud Bath trip that would have broken the journey down. We were told that it would be the equivalent style hotel only to find out it was less than a two star!! We slept on top of the beds as the beds were so filthy. The evening meal was cold and full of flies. Never ever again with Airtours.

I had been to Icmeler the year before and recommended Turkey to my two friends with their four children.

I booked the holiday for the last week of October, the weather was lovely not too hot, but hot enough to sunbath all day without getting burnt. We felt very safe and the people of turkey are very nice.

The food was nice although the same every day, the children enjoyed the freshly made omlettes. We could upgrade to half board but food at the local resturants was very nice and cheap.

The staff are very helpful, friendly, and they kept the rooms in first class condition. There is entertainment every night, the kids loved that.

To buy things around the hotel there is an armband system. You put a depost on your armband then can top it up with cash, then when you need to buy something from the shop, bar, or snack food stall you pay with the armband. good idea prevents dishonesty.

I would definately go back to this hotel it is a lovely place to stay.

Just arrived back on Friday 29th and already looking to book for next year.

We booked originally bed and breakfast but on arrival we upgraded to half board which cost £75 for the four of us for a week. Very good value. The food was very good.

The hotel was very clean, everybody was really friendly.

Lots of activities which are open to all ages. The kids really enjoyed the water slides this was where they spent most of the time.

We found the wristband a good idea as you didn't need to carry money with you, although the drinks etc were quite expensive. We started going to the little shop over the road for drinks in the daytime where you could buy a large bottle of water for 1million or a ltr bottle of pop for 1.5 million. The hotel were charging 3 million for water and nearly 3 million for a little class of pop so things quickly add up if you don't keep a check on your receipts.

The only drawback we had was because we had booked bed and breakfast was that all four of us had to share a room. This was rather cramped and we struggled to find room to put the empty cases. So when I book for next year I am going to book self catering so at least we can have a bit more room. You still have the option of upgrading.

If you have children I would definitley recommend this hotel, it has everything you want for a good holiday.

Keep up the good work Club Julian and we are looking forward to returning next year.

I have just recently visited Club Julian I came back yesterday morning I'm just doing my coursework and got bored so I decided to search the restaurant Mad boys which is round the corner from Club Julian and this came up.

I would recommend Club Julian to anybody its very clean and the staff are brill apart from the lad that works on the water slides he can be moody.

But it was very good and I would rate it 9/10 there is the daily prayers but soon you get used to that.

I would def go back as i am going back next year I loved it!

Well what can I say, what a great hotel! I found it excellent for families, with most facilities right on your door step.

The maid came round every day to change the bins, hoover and wash the bathroom floor. She changed the towels, toilet paper and bed linen every 2 days which were done to a high standard.

I wouldn't know about the food as I was self catering and didn’t eat there. This was because in the hotel the food and drinks are quite expensive so I suggest you go off the resort as much as possible!! The hotel has a wrist band system as nowhere accepts cash, wrist band only. The one thing that is quite cheap is a large bottle of water at about 3 million, 1.30ish perfect if your having a sunbathe!

Another thing is the washing side of things, please remember to take some hand wash powder and wash your clothes in the bath! As the price for 1 wash in the hotel is 5 pounds English money which could get expensive.

The pools are amazing and there are three of the, one of which has water slides. They say if towels are on the sun beds longer than 30 minutes they will put the in the pool trays, this is rubbish as they never do, once your towels there leave it!

The time I was there it was in the 90's so take plenty of sun creams and after sun, especially in the summer as it can reach 130 - 140!

As for the entertainment there are lots to choose from in the day from a lunch time quiz, to water polo and volley ball, or a cool drink at the bar between a swim or 2. In the evening they have a children’s disco from 8 - 9pm, then various acts like belly dancers, singers, and the Mr. and Mrs. Club Julian competition. Great fun but watch your wrist band as the drinks flow!

Would I go again? DEFINATELY!! I plan to go again next year for 2 weeks as 1 week is definitely not enough.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely loved the club Julian apartments they were very clean and the staff were very polite. The daytime activites were fantastic and are ideal for all ages there was quizzes, volley ball, water polo e.t.c even the night time shows were brillant.

The reps were fantastic (Tom, Linzi, Kelly, Disco Dave, Kirsty) they would provide shows like the kids mini disco then would do adult shows such as mr and mrs, battle of the sexes e.t.c

I would give this hotel/apartments 10/10 for entertainment it was fantastic, we have already booked to go again this year in september I cannot wait!

Club julian excellent, from entertainment, rooms, pools, staff. Went self catering upgraded to half board second week. Recomend you upgrade when you get to hotel as cost is very cheap.

Have booked to go in may 2005. Beach is about 10 walk away from hotel but you will fid that you will not need to leave hotel as there is so much going on,poolside quizes, volleyball, bingo(won about 4million lira) kids club, poolside snacks, chicken, pancakes, banana splits.

Can't wait to go again, staff all friendly and helpful also entetainment staff exellent.

Concerns me that in 2005 I have booked to stay again with my 16 year old daughter.

Just arrived back a couple of days ago and had a fab time at Club Julian. Hotel is excellent - very clean. Breakfast was average - as you never got proper sausage/bacon - but omlettes were excellent. Eating out was cheap and food was great (big portions). Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Reps were very entertaining, especially for kids. Only disappointment was wristband service at hotel - as we like to pay cash as we go along, also drinks were very expensive at hotel.

Would definitely return to Hotel Julian.

Quality of room was excellent; despite 3 star status, room equalled many in 4 star hotels. Swimming pools, staff were very good plus bar facilities, though pool area crowded and unsupervised children do not make for a relaxed ambience. Food was perfectly acceptable if unimaginative.

This hotel is aimed at families with children. It is definitely not for couples of any age. Quality of entertainment was good but very biassed to amusement of children even until late.

The hotel Julian was great.

We went self-catering and this was ideal as there are lots of bars and restaurants outside the hotel that you can eat in.

Food and drink in the hotel is quite expensive, so it was better to eat out.

The pool was lovely.

Room was cleaned every day.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

If you had children this would be the best hotel to come to as they are cated for all day and night.

We would return to Turkey and if we did we would stay in Julian.

We stayed 1 week S/C at the Club Julian from 10/09/04 and initially on arrival were surprised that the accommodation was rated 4* - the room was clean but quite basic and there was little evidence of any adequate kitchen appliances. However it was very cheap to eat out so not a problem really.

We only ate one evening at the hotel and that was Wednesday (barbeque night) - as it had been recommended, but the food was cold by the time we sat down and everything on the menu had chicken as the main ingredient.

We did however enjoy the evening entertainment - it catered for all ages and the staff were very talented and eager to please.

Club Julian is some ten minutes walk from Marmaris beach and centre but there are plenty of bars/restaurants local to the hotel.

Our main gripe about the Julian was that you couldn’t use cash for any kind of purchases - you had to buy a credited wristband which is debited at time of purchases and a receipt issued that shows remaining balance. Sounds effective I know but often the receipts failed to appear and we were left not knowing how much we had been charged.

I must add that the prices in the hotel were quite hefty, so it is advisable to put minimal amounts on the wristband just for necessities.

Would return to the Julian - especially with children as it certainly does cater very well for families

Fantastic hotel 3 large pools with loads of sunbeds, bar service to your sunbed so you don’t even need to move if you don’t want to.

The staff are so helpful they just can't do enough to please you. The entertainment staff are great doing games and quizzes all day great if you have got kids with you.

Hotel and pool area is spotless.

The hotel is about 10 mins from sea front where most of the bars are. There are quite a few bars and shops just outside the hotel and is a nice walk down to the front. It's just far enough away not to get any noise from the bars so you got best of both worlds.

Just fantastic can't fault anything about it

I spent most of my days by the Pool Bar...especially at Miller Time! Got me a lovely hat! Made some friends there too.

I distinctively remember the pool being closed off a couple of times because someone used to leave a little brown train in there...

The Kids Club kept the youngsters in our group occupied while we had a relaxing hour in the pool. Also I made friends with the tanned and toned Tom. The sexy rep. He always got pushed in the pool.

Disco Dave was nice too...

We were self catering, which was ok as, although the hotel food was quite good (especially the jam) we could eat out a lot too.

The entertainment was fab!! Especially for kids. There was so much to do! Water polo, and you could organise trips for kids, such as the wicked, wet n wild, which I went on. It was good but it was a 3 hour travel to the water park in Bodrum, so it was so boring on the coach. But it was brill when we got there.

Let me just say, the mini discos were my absolute fave, ever! The club dance was really wicked, and the reps were all great, especially Becca, disco Dave, Tom and Kelly.

Well, what can I say, first time in Turkey and it won’t be our last. Club Julian was everything you wanted from a holiday and more.

The rooms were cleaned every day and the maids were so friendly, they even made flowers out of sheets and placed my daughter’s cuddly toys round.

The staff were spot on, the barmen couldn’t do enough for you and they were always very polite.

There was plenty of choice in the breakfasts, try the omelettes they're brill.

And what can I say about the entertainment, fantastic, Bekki, Kirsty, Dave, Tom, and the others (sorry forgot their names) worked from morning till night to entertain everyone well done you lot.

The three pools were good, my son loved the water slides
is all I can say is try the Julian, you wont be disappointed.

We'll be back, hopefully soon.

Well what can I say. Our first impression was disappointment. At 04.30 when we arrived the floor of the room was still wet. In the cold light of day things improved.

Maids excellent and waiters pretty good especially Yusuf (nice man).

This hotel is really geared toward kids, the entertainment is somewhat repetitive and bores adults. The reps try hard...sometimes too hard and get on your nerves.

Food in the hotel is ok but nothing special.

One thing to note, there is a mosque 200m away, fun at 05.00.

Also, although air con is in each apartment it is not in every bedroom so beware, it gets very hot if your kids are using the beds in the main living area and you have the bedroom.

Don't get us wrong we really enjoyed our holiday and the new waterslides were great for the kids.

A wristband credit scheme operates in the hotel. You pay at reception and they credit your band so dont loose it, but it saves carrying a wallet around the hotel.

Rooms were clean, sheets changed everyday. If you are looking for a kids orientated holiday this is the place for you. Couples and older folks may want to look elsewhere.

We stayed here in 2003, 2 adults, a 14 yr old and 10 yr old girls. When we stayed here it as really amazing, the staff were brill, and the food and cleanliness were top.

However, one of our friends who worked there we met up with last july when we were staying at the club atrium, and he no longer works there due to it being under new management.

The prices have been raised dramatically and I don't believe any1s really getting their £s worth. So at the time I was there I'd def give it 11/10 but now, it would be lucky to get a 5.

There is a mosque directly behind the hotel which calls prayers at 5.30 and 8.30 in the morning. You do get used to it after the second day.

The hotel is very clean and maid service is every day.

We chose to eat outside the hotel at night, it is cheaper and much nicer.

The hotel staff are very friendly, especially Mehmet. The waiters at the pool bar will bring drinks to your sun bed so you don’t even have to move. Drinks inside the hotel were expensive especially coke but there is a small shop across the road.

The entertainment was top class, especially the children’s and Escape club. The Escape trips were really fun and the reps Ben and Lynne were great. The beach bash by far the best. The new slides into the pool are great too.

We booked to go back for the 11th July next year on the day we got back

This was our first time in Turkey. Any bad impressions I first had about Turkey were soon erased. The people are absolutley fantastic and cannot do enough for you.
The julian is a nice hotel but I have stayed in better. It was a great place for my little boy who was never away from the kids club. The Kids club reps do a great job along with the entertainments team.I sometimes find myself whistling to the 'purple people eater'song which was played at mini disco every evening.
The hotel was very clean, food was lovely and well presented but well overpriced. Drinks and food are much cheaper outside the hotel.
Air conditioning in rooms didnt work from day one but managed to get it fixed on the second week of our holiday.
The waiters in the hotel are great. You dont have to move from your sunbeds. They provide an excellent one to one service.
One very special mention to Linda the hotel guest relations representative. She is one of the nicest people i have ever met. She puts in alot of effort and hard work but always made sure she stopped to talk to us.Nothing was ever too much trouble and she is very efficient. Another good point about the hotel is the sunbeds. No reservations are allowed and if any towels are left for a certain length of time,Linda will come and remove them to give others the beds. I admire linda's courage but i certainly wouldnt give up my day job to do it as many a time we witnessed her taking endless amounts of abuse...An asset to the hotel.Keep up the good work everyone. The julian would be nothing without you.
May see you all next year.

Brilliant Holiday!!!! It was our third time to the Julian and it keeps getting better.
The staff are all very friendly, especially Memmet and Ayden.
The entertainment, both day and night, is excellent - there is never a dull moment at the Club Julian. The entertainment team, Kirsty, Lindsey, Becca, Kelly, Dave & Tom, all do a brilliant job. I must not forget the resident duo Loaded; they provide live music 5 nights of the week.

The food in the hotel is good, there is wide selection for breakfast and you must go to the barbeque on a Wednesday night.

We normally go self-catering but as we booked late the only availability was bed & breakfast in the hotel. It was OK but the room was a bit small for four people. If you want to go B&B or Half board - book self-catering and then when you get there upgrade, it is also much cheaper this way.

Outside the complex we found the best restaurant to be the Great Corner Steak House, it is just round the corner from the Julian, they do a great Plank Steak.

During the day there are plenty of activities for both children and adults such as - water polo, volley ball, rounders, football, darts etc. And you must play bingo in the afternoon. Each evening the entertainers have a different show lined up such as Stars in their Eyes, Mr. & Mrs., and Karaoke Night. You can even compete to be crowned Mr. or Mrs. Club Julian for the week.

If you plan on going on some trips while in Marmaris I suggest you book them through Airtours and not the kiosks on the street. They may be allot cheaper, but they don't have adequate insurance if things go wrong. The best trip to go on must be Scuba Diving!! I urge everyone to try this, and if you book through Airtours you will go with Divers Delight who are extremely helpful and friendly. Another trip worthwhile is the Jeep Safari - make sure and go prepared with bottles of water - you will get wet and very dirty! Club Julian is definitely worth a visit, we've already booked for next year so see you there!

Stayed at Club Julian Self-catering but upgraded to Half board for 8 days for just over £100 ( well worth it for the Wednesday BBQ ).

The food was well presented and good variety for the first few days , but became a bit boring after that .But still good quality and all you can eat !

The hotel is designed well , with nothing too far from the pool ( bars , toilets e.t.c.). The wrist band idea is good , you dont need to carry any money to the pool or bar areas . Although it is agood idea to put £200 on it your first day to get 20% off everything for the duration . One drawback to it is that you lose any credit left on it when you hand it back in , so use it all up on stuff from the shop.

The supermarket is handy but things are cheaper from the shop across the road outside.

The entertainment is excellent , for kids and grown-ups alike . The Airtours entertainers are there from 10am till midnight , organising team games like volleyball , darts and pool knockouts , but the water polo is by far the highlite of the afternoon . Adults were flocking to the pool everyday to play at 2-30 .

The evening entertainment starts at 8 with kids disco and then adult games like MR&MRS , Generation Game , Music quizzes .Well done to Kirsty , Kelly , Linzi , Becca , Disco Dave and Tom who work so hard in the sweltering heat , and really seem to enjoy every night.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and the waiters (who earn peanuts ) are so nice and spare time to get to know everyone by name . Special mention to Waiter ,Mel (Aydin Sari )who was just the nicest bloke you could meet .

One slight drawback to the holiday was that we heared a family had had their room broken into and stuff stolen , but i suppose you get that everywhere !

Without doubt we will be returning to Club julian in the near future .

We booked our holiday only 3 weeks in advance but what a nice surprise it was. The apartment, being 2 beds, was quite large, well equipped and most importantly very clean. Ozgur came in every day to clean and sheets and towels were changed every other day. The waiters at the pool bar were very helpful, always asking whether you wanted drinks etc; it was nice not having to queue at the pool bar for drinks and food. The wristband idea is great as it takes away the bother of having to take cash out with you and not having the right change. Security at Club Julian is also excellent, there was always someone on duty all the time and all the staff were very helpful.I'm hoping to return in September for another week.

the waiters were always there asking u if u wanted anything u didnt have to stand at a buzy bar trying to get served which was great.
there was 3 pools plenty sun beds for everyone no fighting over them.
the hotel is a bit away from marmaris center about 25 mins walk but u didnt really have to go out of the complex if u didnt want to which i liked as i have young children.
plenty shops, resturants, bars, right outside hotel anyway.

However staff were too over friendly "very flirty, all over type" my friends and I felt very intimidated by the younger members of staff who were continuosly trying to "get off" with every walking female..British passport seeking no doubt!!!!

Loved hotel..did not like flirtatious, on heat young members of staff, I'm sure every girl under 20 has been pestered by male staff..

our first time in turkey and we cannot wait to go back. we will definately return to the julian as it was exellent accomodation, with friendly staff and good entertainment. the wrist band promotion is an exellent idea and saves you having to carry money around by the pool area. the waiters are really helpful and speak good english especially aydin who will introduce himself as mel gibson. the evening entertainment is really good but the cartoon heroes will get to you by the end of your hols, but you will come home and whistle it for weeks after. the pools are good especially the rock pools, plenty of good bars and resteraunts around the hotel althogh hotel food is good.air con in rooms is very welcome in the heat of the day. a good hotel base and i cannot wait to go back.

To be perfectly honest it felt like Butlins in the Sun. Great for the kids, not so great for young couples or the younger crowd. It was sold to me as a 4* hotel, I did not feel that it met this rating.

Overall the staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and I did enjoy my stay in Turkey, however I would not return to Club Julian.

Well what can I say? We had a great time all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were cleaned daily.

Breakfast was ok (but I am a bit of a fussy eater at the best of times) the chicken kebabs are to die for.

The entertainment was great both for the kids and adults and be prepared to get involved. Activities run all day too from waterpolo to volleyball even water aerobics. The Airtours team are great to they put in the hours in yet still keep smiling.

The photos in the brochure don’t do the hotel any justice there are 3 pools one with 2 water slides which are free of charge. Also another thing it doesn’t mention in the brochure is wrist bands which you need to purchase anything in the hotel and you top it up at reception the more you put on the more discount you get so it’s worth putting plenty on.

It is set back from the main resort but there plenty of bars and restaurants close by I recommended you try Mad Boys, you'll see what I mean when you get there!!!

The hotel was nice and clean the maids did the bed lovely making fans bows out of the sheets and by using fresh flowers.
Food was decent but if you prefere proper english breakfast there was an a la carte restaurant there which was reasonably priced.

We went to the Club Julian in late September 2003.

This was our first ever family holiday and we had decided before we traveled we would not be going on holiday again until 2005, however we did not bank on having as much fun as we did and the day after we arrived home we had went out and rebooked to go back to Club Julian again.

From the moment we checked in which was 4am till the minute we left we were made to feel welcome. The staff were fantastic from reception right down to the cleaners.

Entertainers kept us entertained for the whole 2 weeks however you MUST volunteer to take part in the games, they make you look an idiot but you feel great about it.

We paid to go half board for a week which cost us £104 and it was well worth it, especially the BBQ night.

The drinks in the hotel are expensive compared to other places around Marmaris but is worth it with the entertainment which comes with it.

Our room was spotlessly cleaned by very efficient maids every morning.

The wrist band scheme is a great idea as you do not have to carry money around the hotel with you all day.

We made some very good friends over there who we have stayed in touch with and I’m very much looking forward to returning this year (in 6 days time to be exact).

It’s about 1 1/2 hours coach ride from Dalaman airport however this is broken up as the coach stops at a service station for 15 minutes.

There is a fantastic bar/restaurant very close to the hotel called Mad Boys, just turn left out of hotel and you will see it. On a Sunday for every drink you buy you are given a raffle ticket for a free weeks half board accommodation for the winner and this is drawn at the end of the evening, however if you win(which we didn’t) you must organises your own flight and transfers to and from Turkey.

Watch this space for when I return from this years holiday to see if it is just as good second time round.

have stayed at club julian for two years and are returning again in 4 weeks time.each time we have stayed we have been halfboard but this time we are staying selfcatering.halfboard was great but you find you eat out anyway for a change,so this year we are going to upgrade for a week only 38 pound adult 18 kids.hotel is spotless and staff cannot do enough for you .entertainment is great to although the first year we went the resident band played twice so you really appreciated them ,the second year they played everynight so you sort of knew what songs they were going to sing and what joke was next.dont get me wrong they were great lads and give there all.reps were all good so really there is something for everybody adults and kids.

This hotel is fantastic, we had originally booked to go to a hotel in Icemeler but the travel agents cancelled it 6 weeks before we were due to fly out and offered us this hotel instead, boy were we pleased!! We had a room just above the stage, at first I thought it was going to be noisy but the music was turned down at midnight (something to do with Turkish Law). The room was very spacious and spotless, can really comment on the maids as I never really spoke to any but as for the cleanliness of the rooms I can't fault them, the towels put into the different shapes on our bed each day was fantastic.

The food was fabulous, even my husband who is quite picky enjoyed it.

As for the staff (Umut in particular) I don't think there are many words to describe the supierior treatment we received. Lets put it this way he made such a fuss of us that my daughter still talks about him 2 years on. He took care of us from the minute we arrived and even gave up part of his day off to wave or coach off when we left.

My only critisism was the tom system (electronic TAG system for purchasing drinks) I found the drinks to be quite expensive but it was a small price to pay for the fantastic evening entertainment, our kids were keep amused every night which I must say added to our enjoyment of our holiday. Happy kids make happy parents!!

We also booked to return the following year, food, staff and room all fantastic, the only downside was the entertainment was exactly the same as the year before and once you've seen it once it's not quite as entertaining the second time around, still not a bad thing though as we spent many nights on the front especially the Captains Bar, and got a chance to visit places we hadn't seen on our first visit.

We stayed here for a last minute holiday. It was just me and my husband and we were a bit worried at it being a Suncentre ( loads of kids ) but it was fantastic. The hotel could not be faulted in any way at all.

The Airtours Reps were a laugh a minute and were really helpful. The staff couldn't do enough for you, there was entertainment every night ( all in English ).

There is just not a fault with this holiday and will definately return.

I had the most amazing time at club julian.
The pools were very clean and it was very enjoyable.
The pool bar had very good staff and every type of drink you could think of.
The food was 5 star and I stuffed my fat pie hole every day!

As I went to Turkey by myself (because I wanted to make friends) I made lots of friends including my husband Tony who I met in Turkey.
The staff were briliant, they tended to my every need.
Most of the time I was at the pool bar where I drank quite alot since I was by myself.
But that all changed In my 2nd week of the holiday!

The location of the hotel wasnt perfect but it wasnt a long way from the beach.
The shops around the hotel were very good for fake desighner clothes but dont give them the full price remember to haggle!!!!!!
When you go to the market bring with you a english ten pound note because you can get someting worth about £30 cause the turks love english ten pound notes!

I cant believe how clean this hotel was. I have been to lot of manky hotels with dead rats in the pool but there was no sight of any dirt.
The entertainment was fantastic there was daily quizzes which was my favourite.

I have been another time since 2003 and have already booked a holiday again in hotel julian for this year.
I would recommend this hotel to people with company or children.
