| said: What can I say.You only need to read the other reviews to gauge how good the Club Orka is.It has all been said before.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back next year.I had a fantastic holiday and the hotel provided me with a home base in which to relax and to party,depending on my needs!It was very easy to go from the hotel to any of the surrounding areas too,especially if you wanted to go to the beach or into town to do some shopping.
The staff were second to none.The were always at hand when needed and they had a fantastic sense of humour.Muzzy at the top swimming pool did a brilliant job at serving us food and drinks, but also kept us entertained in the process.In fact,all the staff worked very hard to make sure we were enjoying our holiday.Thanks to you all.

| said: As soon as we arrived at Hotel Orka we knew that we would have a good time; the hotel was clean, the service was impeccable and the views surrounding the hotel were fantastic!
The location of the hotel is undoubtedly perfect, because the area itself does not seem commercialised but you do not seem to be too far from the comforts of home. The hotel staff are all extrememly friendly, welcoming and always up for a laugh! I promise you that you will never get bored; there is always great entertainment availiable- without giving too much away I reccommend the Turkish night as a great family evening! The food is also delicious; with a great combination of the local delicacies and some English favourites.
The Hotel offers some great sightseeing trips, although we booked outside the hotel was it was far cheaper without the hotel's commission fee.
The only conflict we faced was if we did not fancy leaving the hotel, it was hard to get a sunbed, as some people left towels on sunbeds in advance to their use; people were leaving towels on sunbeds at 8:30am and not returning to them until 2:00pm, which we found a little unfair. And peak season is really hot; 40 degrees heat most days, and one day even as high as 52!
None of us wanted to leave, which is something that we have never felt before. Without a shadow of doubt we would return to Hotel Orka.

| said: We arrived at the hotel around midday using the Hotel transfer service, which was fine. The manager greeted us to say we had been put into a different villa than expected, as the Sunset Villa 2 was better than the Dolphin. Great we thought. The villa was only had 5 beds when the Dolphin was 6 but as there was only 5 of us this was not a problem. However we found we were unable to open the set of metal shutters to the patio door on the single bedroom and unable to close the set off the lounge leading to the pool. There was also no shower pole or curtain to the main bathroom. There were a few broken handles on furniture and internal decor was a bit tatty, lacking in outside furniture and kitchen equipment. We reported the shutters and shower to reception and they arranged for someone to come over and sort these problems out. Over he came only to jam the shutter leading to the pool down. This now left us with two sets of doors we were unable to use and no shower in the main bathroom. When we went to reception we were told it would be sorted the next day. In fact it took 5 days for this to be sorted. We were also advised by the manager we should of booked direct through the hotel rather than their Private Villas site as this would of been cheaper by about £300. As this Villa was meant to be better than the original one I had booked I dread to think what I could of got. The information sheet in the Villa advised cleaning was done daily however reception advised this was every 2 days. The maids threw our rubbish onto wasteland next to our villa, which my husband retrieved and put it in a local restaurants waste bin, after this happened for the second time we mentioned it to reception and it never happened again. The best part of this hotel is the bar staff, who were fun entertaining and friendly. Evening entertainment was good but not on every night, however there were lots of other places with entertainment. Location was ideal and even though we were only about 50 yards from the main road, which was fairly busy, was no problem and never kept us awake. Hotel pools were fine and slide fun. Private pool good size and cleaned daily. 2 days before departure we booked the Hotel transfer service to the airport. On the day of departure when returning keys to reception we checked it was on its way only to be told it would be 5 –10 minutes late as it had been held up. 20 minutes later a car arrived and collected our cases and took them to reception – still no vehicle. After 45 minutes of waiting we were told the hotel do not do transfers to the airport. Eventually they managed to get a car to take us to the airport, only an hour after our original booking time. I can honestly say if I owned the Sunset Villa 2 I would be ashamed to rent it out. The Turkish people are lovely and the majority very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the resort just not the hotel.

| said: hi ,this is a brill hotel lived up to all previous posts. it is recently been up graded in all departments.the staff are excellent if sometimes a little over attentive but each to there own.i have been to hisaronu before and the reason we picked this hotel was for the kids to have good facilities durring the day but i feel the staff could have aranged more activities for the older kids ie pool side games or compotitions as well as for the big kid adults, but the place is spotless and that meens a lot to me.would i visit again, yes most definately .the location is a bit out so if your not the best at walking you will use the taxi service which is very handy.as i said al the staff work very hard but they should make better use of the facilities theyve got .

| said: Just arrived back from our first visit to Turkey and club Orka, stayed in a villa on self catering basis with two of our children aged 22 & 19. What can I say we had a fantastic time. Villa was very spacious, cleaned daily. Club orka is very well situated just outside Hisaronu, which can be very noisy at night, good for the nightlife if that's what you are looking for and just a short walk or Dolmus ride away. Hotel & staff could not have been more freindly and entertaining, whether we were relaxing round the pool or being entertained at night, Ifan the restaurant Manager is a lovely man so friendly, and his brother Hdgi, the bar manager and his team, jdy jdy, charley in partiular made ours and our daughter & sons stay all the more enjoyable. The entertainment is well worth the money. My daughter cried when we had to leave, we are all planning on returning again. Would recommend Orka to everyone, who wants relaxation, together with a little bit of fun. The staff really make you feel welcome, like part of a big orka family.

| said: we have just got back from orka villas and i am missing it sooo much. We arrived in the early hours and we were met by the porter. Once we checked in the porter took us to our villa.
The villa was very spacious with 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms had air con which worked well. Both showers were very useful as i had a large family. Maids came round daily to change towels.The kitchen had limited utencils so i suggest you take tea towels, dish cloth and washing liquid.
Food for half board was okay some days better than others and the food at the al la carte restuarant was excellent with great service. breakfast was the usual cereal, rolls and some hot food, every other day the chef cooked either panckes or omlette but this took quite a while to queue up for.
The hotel and surrounding areas were cleaned every morning and mozzi sprayed once a week. Entertainment during the day was limited and at night there was a bar with music, also every night there was something going on like bbq night or cocktail night. It was only a 15 min walk into Hisaronu with a taxi service right next to the hotel. There is also a shop which is reasonably priced outside the hotel.
I went on this holiday with four teenagers and two youngsters and they were all happy with the hotel and staff. One more thing the camera man takes lovely photos which are 9 lira each.

| said: This is my 4th visit to Turkey but my first to the Orka and I have to say this is one of the best places we have stayed in. We were in a villa on a self catering basis. The villa's are superb and very spacious and are kept very clean by the fantastic cleaning staff. My only critisism of the villa's would be the lack of cooking/eating utensils.
The hotel complex is fantastic as are all the staff who take the time to make sure you have everything you need. Our kids were entertained by the pool slide for the whole holiday!!
I would have prefered that the hotel is a little closer to Hisaronu but that said, the Dolmus stops right outside the hotel and will take you into Hisaronu and Olu Deniz to the beach if you need it.
Our children are aged 8 and 5 and the evening entertainment for them was pretty much non-existent as most entertainment started at 10pm which was a real shame. Maybe the hotel could consider a kids disco at the lower pool bar in the early evening.
Overall this hotel is very good and you wont be dissapointed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

most of the time in our hoils we stayed by the pool.at night we sometimes went to fethie for our tea but most of the time we stayed at the orka.most of all i liked the belly dancing and talking to all the staff at the bar.we were there with nother group alltogether there was12 of us.

| said: I have only arrived back in England yesterday and i throughly enjoyed the holiday and want to go back next year.
We stayed there for 2 weeks with my parents and friend.
This food was great but got a bit boring but we started to eat out for breakfast as it finishes at 10.30am! Which is far to early for me.
The waiters are soo friendly and just made the holiday so great! But watch out for some of them they don't seem as innocent as they appear as we found out one night when we went out with them.. (Billy & Jay-Jay)
The hotel entertainment was good but got a bit boring after 2 weeks seeing the same show twice.
The location is very close to the shops and nightlife and easy to catch the dolmus to the beach!

| said: Hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned daily and cleaning staff were very Pleasant.
The whole holiday was made by the Staff. They were great, Sharon - Customer Relations, Hakan - Reception Manager and BILLY - Barman, were exceptional. They made our holiday. Although we were classed as 4 Adults we were 2 Adults and 2 14 yr old boys. The Bar staff made their holiday. Organised football for them which in turn led to them making friends and enjoying the whole holiday. They really want to go back next year.
We thank you for makiing our holiday a wonderful one. The entertainment 2 nights a week was great fun and the whole layout of the hotel was brilliant.

| said: The club Orka is simply the best resort i have ever stayed in. Every aspect of the holiday was perfect and i simply could not get over how fantastic everything was. The staff are some of the nicest people on the planet and made the trip that bit extra special. The room itself was very spacious and modern, had all the utilities you needed and was as clean and tidy as anywhere you will go. A big thank you to Mahoney who organises a very romantic table on the restaraunts balcony for mine and my girlfriends 2 and a half years toghether, when he also put flowers in her menu which was a lovely touch. Barman Zenneyl is such a poser but a lovely person and great entertainer. We met some brilliant people there, staff and guests included and i can honestly say i am home missing the people as much as the wheather!!

What can we say it was fantastic.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel at 5am we were greeted by welcoming staff with friendy faces, which is what you need when you have been travelling through the night.
he Hotel and the Villa's were out of this world. The hotel holds various themed nights throughout the week which we particiapted in and they were amazing.
The food was delicious and the entertainment was better than we could ever have imagined and certainly entertaining.
All the Bar and restaurant staff were great fun and very very entertaining.
We have recommended this hotel and the Villas to all of our families and friends and we will certainly be visiting it the same time next year.

| said: Having never visited Turkey previously we were some what anxious about our visit, we needn't have been. We arrived at 5am and were promptly taken to the villa, it was absolutely perfect and couldn't have hoped for better.
We ate out in Hisaronu most evenings, and a couple of times at the Orka and can't fault anything. The location for us was lovely, out of the way, yet close to all amenities, if you didn't fancy the walk just jump on a dolmus(bus) which run every 5 mins and very cheap.
I have worked around England in the catering industry and I have never met such nice staff as we did at the Orka they can't do enough for you and are always friendly and smiling.
The entertainment was brilliant, and they even provide free childrens entertainment, my son never wanted to leave the hotel he was just so happy!
I would certainly recommend this hotel and have done so to our friends and family, some of whom hope to visit in September. We can't wait to go back.

| said: We stayed in a Villa on the complex on a Self-Catering basis. The villa's have been refurbished over the winter and have Air-Conditioning to all Bedrooms. These were roomy and cleaned daily. As we had Grandparents in our party, we found the Ground Floor bedroom and bathroom very handy indeed.
All the staff at the Orka take the time to say Hello and talk to you - the Bar Staff & Waiters like to make a fuss of the children and enjoy a laugh with the adults too.
We ate at the hotel most lunchtimes in the Pool Snack Bar if it was a "pool day" and several evenings, all meals were good quality and whilst the restaurant is "A la Carte", we found it no different to any other meals in any other restaurant, maybe 10%-20&% more expensive!
The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from Hisaronu, this is downhill and we found that the kids were okay to walk down but wanted a taxi back!
The entertainment was limited-but good, and the kids club only started on the day we left. I doubt they would have used it anyway, too busy elsewhere!!
All of us enjoyed staying at the Orka and would definitely recommend the hotel.

The location is a 15 minute walk to the centre or there are easy access with local bus or taxi, Hotel rooms are cleaned daily, and the hotel is always spotless.
We ate once at the hotel and it was very nice. The staff are all amazing, and so friendly, they become close friends of yours. Entertainment is superb in summer, with entertainment most nights, although we just got back in october and there was no entertainment, only occasional nights.
The best holiday we have ever had, and each year when we go back all the same faces return.

The complex was situated about 15 mins walk from the actual town of hisaronu. It was lovely walking each evening into the town.
What can we say about the staff?? They were brilliant-so friendly and always willing to help. Hope they are still there next time we go!!
Entertainment was ok the staff would put on a show once a week which was a little bit tedious to watch but it was all part of the holiday!
We would definitely visit this hotel again.

| said: We arrived at Orka early morning. Staff were polite and helpful.
The hotel rooms were newly refurbished so very clean.
They were cleaned every day and on a couple of days flowers were placed on our bed and even the campbed where our son was sleeping!
The staff at the Orka could not do enough for you,always helpful and friendly .
The food was nice, we stayed half board and the children had no quarms about refilling their plates!
I have to say though on our second week as the hotel got very busy we found the food ran out and once it was gone it was gone!
The staff didn't appear to be to be able to cope as well as they did the first week although they did try and worked very long hours.
All in all though we had a fantastic time and would return.
Special thanks has to go to the staff at the Orka, especially Hamit,Samet and Billy .

| said: 18 months had passed and we were very excited about going back to Orka.
It was absolutely fantastic, everything was perfect, the food was spectacular and the staff were absolutely amazing.
Hagi and Hakan were the best barmen ever as usual, as were all the other barmen and waiters. We loved seeing all of them again and meeting some new people like, Shezgin and Faith etc.
The Turkish nights were awesome and we were treated with a engagement party! I loved them all so much and as soon as I left the hotel to go to the airport I was missing it so much.
I will be going back for sure!

The staff here are unbeievable, I have never been to a resort were friendliness was second nature to them. the complex is very nice, but I would make sure that you are in a villa as they are alot nicer then the hotel rooms, but the hotel section is apparently going to be refurbished soon.
There is maid service 7 times a week which can be anoying if you want a lie in !!!. The pools here are excellent there is 4 pools altogether. They have a turkish bath on site which offer alot of relaxing pampering for very cheep rates.
When you arrive it looks like there is not much around, but a 15min walk to the town is busstleing with clubs, shops and restaurants. All in all an excellent holiday we will visit again but would only stay at this hotel !!!

After this hol just got better, best hol we ever had kids cried all way back to airport.
Definitely going here again next year.

| said: I have only just got back a couple of days ago, but already I missing it and planning to go back as soon as possible!
The hotel staff absolutely made my holiday, I have never met more friendly and fun people in my life. They were entertaining at night and in the day, I was very reluctant to leave the hotel. I hope many staff in particular are staying on next year.
Having stayed only a week it was much to short and when I next visit it will be for at least 2 weeks.
We eat at the hotel some nights and the kitchen staff were more than happy to make more or less anything you wanted.
The hotel rooms were small, but there is no need to be in them really.
The pools were great and the slide was much fun.
Overall this was the best holiday I have ever been on, I will definitely be going back.

The staff are wonderfully friendly and most are great with kids.
The food is nice but avoid the Sunday roast if it had been our first meal, it would have been our last!
We fully recommend staying in one of the Orka private villas just outside the complex. The Begon villas are gorgeous, far more modern and comfortable than the hotel villas with the benefit of a private pool, and you still get to use all the hotel facilities - and if you book direct it works out to be about the same price or even cheaper than the basic villas on site!
Music played by the pool can be loud!
The bar shuts when the last person goes to bed and can be noisy.

| said: This hotel was great, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were pleasant. Everyone loved it. The location was lovely and the entertainment was fabulous.
I have only just come back today and I already want to go back, I loved it so much.
The staff were just wonderful. Like the waiters and barmen. I was with two other children and a number of adults and we all loved it, especial my two cousins Louise and Elizabeth.
Thank you to all the staff for giving us a wonderful holiday and see you all in 18 months when we plan to come back.

| said: We stayed at Orca originally on a self catering basis but decided to go B+B after the first mornings breakfast. The villas and the grounds were constantly being cleaned.
The a la carte restaurant was excellent fantastic service all the time.
The hotel is situated in the mountains with fantastic scenery and a back drop of mount babadag (what more could you ask for.)
The staff were always very friendly and happy to help with anything.
Turkish night was fantastic as was most of the other nightly entertainment.

| said: We were a little unsure about Turkey before we travelled but we did not have to worry the resort was wonderful and the people so friendly.
The staff at the hotel could not do enough for you and made everyone feel so welcome and special. The two men in the very small on site shop are lovely and take fantastic photos of the children and family which you can then purchase from a display outside the shop.
We walked into the town quite a few nights it is a fair walk especially on the way home as it is slightly up hill!! Even though we were self catering we always eat out and it was a good job because we stayed in the apartment block and the selfcatering facilities were awful.
There is two levels to the apartment beds downstairs and a shower room all very dark and the rooms look out on to the side view of the villas you feel you are squashed in the corner. We also found out that the apartments are directly under the pool bar area so at night time quite late you get kids messing around with the sun bed scraping them about and banging. The upstairs was twin beds and a very small kitchen area there was no table to eat from only avery small one on the very tight balcony there is no lounge area what so ever so we found the children well 3 quite large teenagers sitting on the ends of our beds as they did not like being down stairs in the dark dungeon as they called it.
The one thing that really annoyed us that we have to pay adult prices for our twin 14yr olds and a supplement and they had to draw straws every night as to who would have to sleep on the very uncomfortable campbed.

| said: Having returned just 2 days ago I cannot wait till next year when I intend to return, the staff at the hotel are the nicest most helpful and friendly people it has ever been my privelege to meet. My wife and I will be keeping in touch with several of them until we see them next year, they also work harder than anyone I know.
I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. The last 2 weeks have been 2 of the best weeks in my life.

| said: We stayed at the villa orka one word sums it all up fantastic. We have been twice this will be our third time although we went on our own we still had a great time. Staff great, food great, entertainment great, shopping fantastic.
We are going back with all the family this year we cannot wait they really make you feel welcome. All the bar staff are just wonderful and really make the hoilday hotel is very well looked after as is the gardens and the pool.
We find it both relaxing and great fun at night.
Swimming pools are good too never to busy that you cannot float and enjoy the lovely views and most important the weather.
We had the wonderful pleasure to be out there last year for the 10th anniversay of orka great party we also spend our anniversary there and we have a really nice evening drink and eating with all our grown up children all in all a great holiday. Would recommed to all.

| said: The Club Orca and the people that work there are fantastic. This was the best holiday we have ever had. The cleanliness of the villas is top rate and the setting is fantastic. I would recommend this place to everybody, we are definately going back. The boys at the top bar, especially Hadje, Deniz and Billy made our holiday, nothing is too much trouble for them. They made a big fuss of our 2 girls, Michaela and Naomi so if anybody reads this and is going out there please say hello to the lads from us.

| said: I have been to Orka four times now, and having returned home from there just yesterday I feel myself at a great loss.
Orka is the perfect place to go for anyone wether it be couples, groups, or families.
The location is pretty ideal, with the resort being 20 minutes in a taxi or on a dolomus (bus) to Fethiye, 20 minutes to the blue lagoon at olu deniz and 5 minutes from the town of hisaronu. Whatever you fancy doing it's all in reach.
The staff at orka are the nicest people I have ever met, and I believe that their attitudes towards visitors are what makes the holiday enjoyable. My family keep in contact with most of the staff.
I would recommend orka to anyone, no matter age or interests, you will be guaranteed a a holiday to remember.

| said: My family and myself stayed in Club Orka from the 29th June – 14th July 2004. The resort was extremely well maintained with our villa being cleaned daily, and the gardens were spotless. When we were there it was very busy and every night there was entertainment on for the guests to enjoy. Also all the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming (as are the majority of Turks).
Club Orka is set in a wonderful (picturesque) location up in the mountain, but is only a 15-minuet walk from the town centre of Hisaronu, and 5 minutes in a taxi.

| said: The last week of the season is not the time to visit this resort/hotel unless you are in search of shopping bargains. The staff were itching to leave and were dismantling the complex around us. Food choice was poor and the evenings were very cool in contrast to the drinks which were warm due to lack of ice. No toast with breakfast - the toaster was broken! The staff were friendly, but weary and the villas were clean. The complex was very quiet as was Hisaronu, although there were a handful of restaurants to choose from, you are prabably better off going to Fethiye at this time of year since the resort stays open all year.

| said: The villas are excellent for both base and entertaining. Although we do self catering the resturant within the hotel is an excellent eating place and very popular. The hotel is situated on the main road between Hisiranu, Fethye and Olu Deniz althoughyou are not disturbed by traffic. The staff at the hotel from the chambermaids to the owner are absolutley fantastic and there is entertainment every night of the week (at a very small charge you can have a buffet as well. Entering the village is like entering a spaghetti western, without the wind. The shop keepers and hoteliers are more interested in you than your money (be prepared to drink copious amounts of apple or lemon tea)and above all HAGGLE. Olu Deniz has the most beatiful Blue Lagoon, just right for sun worship and swimming. I can highly recommend Explorer Tours and the European Diving School.

| said: This was my first holiday to Turkey, and I was not disappointed! Subsequently holidayed in Hisaronu/Ovacik 6 times in 2002 alone (Have visited many times since!)
The Club Orka is situated on a fairly busy main road which runs from Fethiye - Hisaronu, being approx 20 mins walk from the resort of Hisaronu, although there are plenty of restaurants on the walk.
The villas, although basic, are very clean and spacious. They are surrounded by beautiful gardens maintained daily and although the surrounding villas are fairly near you have the impression of peace and tranquility. It is also possible to stay in apartments and hotel rooms, depending on the size of your party.
The 2 pools are very clean and it is usually possible to get a sunbed.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Most of the evening entertainment is provided by the hotel staff. The open air 'a la carte' restaurant provides good food, although it is slightly more expensive than in the town. However, as it is high up and open air, it does provide an excellent view of the sunset!!
We varied in ages (35 - 68) and all found the complex delightful. However, be aware that this complex is set on an incline which is not suitable for the elderly or infirm, nor is it suitable for pushchairs due to the many steps.
I would certainly recommend the Orka as a place to stay!!
