Forgive me for the lateness of this review. Maybe i could have stopped others from booking at this hotel. Where do I start? from our arrival i think.... on arrival we were given 'the rules of the hotel' by the staff, no food or drinks to be brought into the hotel at any time.... and make sure you dont cos the looks you get when you come into the hotel with your bag is really off-putting. you feel guilty even if you dont have anything. that didnt stop us of course. we would buy water from the supermarket by the canal for 1 lira instead of the 3 lira they charged in the hotel.
i couldnt tell you much about what else went on at the hotel with regards to entertainment etc as we were out for most of the time we were there.
BREAKFAST... No coffee... only tea, boiled eggs, tomato, cheese, bread, jam, olives.... not our thing, but would have killed for a coffee in the morning, so we decided to have ours over the road at the florida, only a quid,(well its more really as they charge you 2.5 lira which is just over a quid), but 11 lira for 2 brekkies and 2 coffees is a fair price i think, and it was very nice too.
NOISE.... lots of it..... slamming of doors, clicking of heels heard from the apartment above when they are walking around, the walls must have been very thin indeed.
BALCONY/TERRACE.....our balcony barely fit both of us on it together,we had two chairs which when put out meant we struggled to sit on it .... it was one at a time on the balcony... and the view was awesome.... a great big tree right in front. we were on the side of the building, sometimes you got a glimpse of someone walking along the road that run along the side.
ROOMS... can't fault the rooms for cleanliness, the maid came every day, but i must say, she broke our toilet seat lid and left the broken piece on the floor, i didnt report it, although i intended to, but i forgot, so when it came to leaving i was then worried i would be pulled up about it. but i wasnt... good job too as i would have refused to pay anyway seeing as i didnt do it.
SECURITY/RECEPTION.... no one ever at reception. you always had to go searching for someone.bearing in mind, your key is supposed to be left behind in reception on a hook, and you pick it up on your way back in.... not me though, i kept my key with me the whole time..... if your key is on the hook then your out.... and anyone can have access to your room, staff or guests, or someone passing by, its easily done.... and although you should have all your belongings in the safety deposit box, i bet lots of you leave cameras, phones, consoles etc in your apartments... you getting my drift now?
POOL AREA... we went there once, it was in the shade most of the time, so we didnt bother after that.
STAFF.... if your spending money, then they will do anything for you, if not then they dont want to know, unless your a young girl with a short skirt or low top, then they are round. we had one drink there, the day we were at the pool, we didnt bother after that.

So it depends what you want from your holiday? if you just use the hotel to get some sleep, and are out the rest of the time then its probably ok as a base, as its very well located.

If you are someone who likes to hang around the hotel instead of going out then i wouldnt particularly recommend it.

One thing we both know is, we doubt very much we will be going back to this hotel, we checked out other places while we were there and will be booking one of those instead.
I hope this information is of help to those who are thinking of booking at the ERCANHELL.... sorry .. ercanhan hotel.

do not visit this horrible hotel. some staff are so unfriendly but emray is the only person there that will do possibly anything for you. i really enjoyed the holiday in turkey but i would never recommened anyone to stop in this hotel. the noise levels where awful. there was only one reason we wanted to come home and that was because of the staff the might as well of drove us out of our hotel.
they made us pay for the last day in our hotel. but for some (young blonde girls) free of charge!
they would sit behind the bar and ignore us when we ask for anything. they wont listen to you or tidy your table it would be a right mess. but then on the other hand if there was anyone young and good looking girls around it would be all attention on them.
the first couple of days that you go to the hotel a must say they do make you welcome but once they no that your there they leave you. the pool is rather good but not at a really good size the front pool is abit grubby.
the sun loungers are in the shade at all time theres never any sun around the hotel.
when we was there we met some people from our hotel and they think the same they tried to throw you in the pool whatever you are wearing or whatever you have on you.
a few of us have come away with some bruses on the arms.

i will never go back to this hotel again.
or i would never recommened it to anyone else.

This is a hammer house of hotels. We never dreamt we could stay in such a shabby, unfriendly place, with staff who make it quite plain all they want is your money.
The exceptions to this if you are young & female(i dont need to explain that one!!!)or if you are one of the few'benidorm like'families who think that the staff are friends!!unbelievable how gullable people can be to bring over presents for the staff & take them out for meals!!then stay in this shabby hotel for most of there time, paying over inflated prices.
The staff are lazy, ignorant, rude, bad mannered & very unwilling to help in any way, apart from take your money. The rudeness of having drinks, plates slammed down as well as being ignored became so bad we decided to see the owner. He plainly did not want to see us as he tried to usher us away saying that he could not speak or understand english. This we found to be a complete lie. After using the 'manager'as "interpretor"!!things actually got worse. We now became totally ostracised by all staff and made to feel very unwelcome. We saw our rep but didnt want an official complaint made incase of reprisals so rather than move out or get a flight home we decided to spend alot of the time out of the hotel but still problems frequently came along......a very intimidating atmosphere was now present for us wherever we were in hotel thanks to staff,we were practically interogated when coming in with a back holdall one evening which just stopped short of a search.Despite the no food or drink in hotel rule two of the staff ordered takeaway kebabs&ate them goadingly in front of our faces. The noise levels all hours are horrendous.6 beers were convieniently added to our room number at 4.00am one morning!we were still pressured into paying. We then made sure of paying after buying anything. The only hotel ive ever known where you are provided with no juice, coffe or cereal for breakfast. The bar sky tv is faulty. No towels changed for 3 days.No hairdryer point, shower unsafe&grubby, pole support for shower curtain kept falling down,no where to position shower hose.Holes in walls.Walls so thin they pick up any noise. For any sun lovers, most of both sides of hotel are always in shade so you have to 'chase'sun.Air con £25pw is damp.Seats on balcony couldnt be parted.
An absolutely unbelievably bad hotel with the staff all levels to match. They are only bothered when there is something in it for them & couldnt care less otherwise.Ercanhell

When i booked this holiday, with a group of my friends for a trip after our A-Level exams, we were not expecting a 5* hotel considering what we had payed. All we wanted was somewhere clearn where we could sleep, a pool to have fun in, a nice bar, and close to the beech and town - which is exactly what we got.

The staff are friendly and sit up with the customers at night for drinks. The breakfast is basic - bread, jam, eggs, cucumber and turkish tea kind of thing. The 2 pools are nice, and you are literally an easy stroll to the beach taking about 5 mins. Although there are posters all around requesting that guests dont bring in their own food and drink, its pretty easy to sneak it in! The rooms are cleaned every day and are comfy enough.

This is a nice friendly small hotel, close to everything you would ever need, and very good for anyone who is looking for a nice chill out holiday where you can sunbathe and then visit the 'Florida' bar for buy 1 get 1 free coctails!!

Our first visit to icmelar,we found the hotel spotless in and around our room.
Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast, and was fresh daily and edible.
The location of the hotel was brilliant a short distance to the beach and shops.
Although entertainment was advertised we prefered to go out in the evening.
We would definately visit again.

The room was spotless and cleaned every day.

Hotel is in a side street off the main road so it is nice and quiet but you are still right next to the centre.
If you are going to Icmeler would recomend this hotel to everyone

Ercanhan Hotel. What a dump! Goldtrail. What a joke! Icmeler - what a sewer! Other holidaymakers wrote on this website how great the Ercanhan Hotel was (Five Stars-How?). On that basis we booked a two week holiday in the hope of having relaxation and quiet. All I can say is that these 'reviewers' must live in a squat or something because I wouldn't board my dog there. For starters, we arrived in Dalaman and attempted to board the bus. The Goldtrail travel rep said that we didn't have transfers to the hotel and couldn't board the bus as we weren't on her list. Luckily we had our receipt with us which clearly stated that we'd paid £22 for transfers. On seeing this she promptly looked again at her list and we were miraculously on it. On arrival at the hotel, we were 'greeted' and shown to our room. This was pokey to say the least. There were signs everywhere saying that you couldn't take in your own food and drink (and this most definitely included water); each time we walked into the hotel, the staff were looking at us suspiciously to try to work out whether our bags contained such contraband. The old, shall we say, 'gentleman' (the owner) sat there all day as miserable as sin if you didn't buy from his bar. Most of the other guests were happy to each chips and drink and smoke all day by the pool but we had gone on holiday to get away from these sorts of people. People who, I might add, kept us up to 5am on more than one occasion despite the hotel regulation to consider other guests and be quiet after 1 am. This noise was unbearable at times and compounded by the fact that the windows were not only single-glazed but had gaps between the frames. When we finally got to sleep we would then be woken early by cats fighting, dogs barking, chainsaws cutting trees and the noisiest mechanical roadsweeper/bin-wagon you could ever imagine (it seemed to sweep the road every other day but, when we walked along it, it still had rubbish either side of it). Our fatigue led us to miss a boat trip one morning for which we'd paid over the odds with the travel rep. [As an aside, we brought with us several hundred pounds worth of lira (YTL). On booking said trip, the rep quoted us in pounds. I thought this strange, seeing as the local currency was TURKISH lira but at the time didn't query it. She advised me that she would have to convert our lira back into pounds and stated that the conversion was 2.7 lira to the pound - she assured me that I could get this rate at many places in the resort. In two weeks we never found it: the best we saw was 2.55 to the pound. Clearly she ripped us off. It was worse than that. On doing my own calculations, I discovered that she'd charged me 2.75 lira to the pound!] Anyway, my wife has arthritis and we were on the second floor. So, I asked the rep for a move to a ground floor room. This was the second day of our stay. She told us that she'd spoken to the manager and that he'd move us within 3 days. The 3 days came and went so I asked the manager if he had found us a room yet. He looked at me blankly. I reminded him of his promise to our rep. He said she'd never said anything to our rep. In fact he said that he didn't even know who she was. I asked him for a move to a ground floor room. He said we could move on the Friday (which would have been the 7th day). Again it came and went. To top all this, and if you are eating while reading this I apologise now, we came in from the beach one day to a smell that I can only describe as 'coming from the bowels of hell'. We thought there'd been a chemical spill in the area and opened the doors for some fresh air. On further investigation we found that it had come through the vent in our bathroom which meant that it must have come from the guests next door. We were embarrassed and disgusted in equal measure because the only place for our gases to go was next door and vice versa.

The hotel location was in a quiet street but only 5 mins walk away away from all amenities. The rooms were basic but clean, shower good. The inclusive breakfast was monotonous but adequate, the pool and sunbeds were good. The hotel staff were fantastic and the bbq night entertainment great fun. I am loath to recommend it too much in case there's no available rooms for my return visit.

If you are looking for a small good value hotel in Icmeler then you need not look any further. Whilst this hotel is basic, it is clean and tidy and run by a small but excellent team of staff. It has all the facilities you would expect, plus air-con, (a must in July/August) & safety deposit boxes. It is situated very close to the resort centre on a small quiet side street just around the corner from all of Icmeler's excellent restaurants and shops.
Icmeler by the way is a lovely resort.

It's the first time we have stayed at this Hotel and we would stay here again. This is the 9th time we have visited Icmeler it's a beautiful resort.

The Hotel was very clean the breakfasts were good very nicely served by one of the young men who worked in the hotel.

The Hotel is situated just a little way off the main road so it is pretty quiet at night and not too far away from the beach and shops.

The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much for them.they like a good laugh ,thats why they do the entertainment nights the entertainment is quite good for a small Hotel.

Yes we would certainly stay in this Hotel again.

We have just spent two weeks in this lovely hotel. We have had so much fun and can't wait to go back next year. The rooms were basic but are very clean. The staff were very friendly and would do anything for you. They not only entertained the adults but made a real fuss of the children in our family. We had a great night at their weekly BBQ and Turkish night. The break dancers were cool and the belly dancer made the men's night. The food that they provided was excellent and their talent show was very entertaining.
The food in the hotel was nice too with an impressive full English breakfast for less than £2.00.The hotel was in a very good location only minutes away from the nightlife. I would recommend this hotel to any family after a relaxing holiday by the pool.

On arrival we were met by the manager who was warm and friendly, he was also very informative which put us at ease straight away.

The room was very basic but clean. Throughout the holiday the cleaning staff were a regular sight which has to be good news.

I have to say that we did not eat at the hotel often, apart from snacks but they were very tasty.

If you are looking for the ideal location then this is the place, it was just a couple of minutes walk to the centre and beach and yet in a side street away from the hustle and bustle.

What can I say about the staff brilliant!! always a smile, any problems were sorted, the Turkish night was memorable thanks to the bar staff, entetainment was not a factor in as much as it was just nice to sit have a drink and talk to other guests, apart from the off the cuff turns the bar staff gave which was always entertaining.

Thanks to lisa for the help with the safe deposit box.

The pool was adequate and clean. All in all very happy

The hotel has to be one of the best in Icmeler. my parents have travelled alot and say they will never vist the same resort let alone hotel again, we have noew been 3times. when you got and get talking to people most people have ever been many times before or had it recomended to them by others, i think this alone says alot. it is clean, tidy and basic. the staff are great and make it feel like home, nothing is to much for them. the entertainment is typical turksih nites but its fun to.

It is in a good location, easy to get to adn with in minutes your are at either, the ebach bars or town, its right in the middle but quite and u not not here noise.
