Review written on 28th August 2007
FOOD - was well prepared and cooked but felt there was not enough choice and quite samey every night. Childrens menu also but mostly same too. Enjoyed cooked breakfast every morning. Snacks and lunch were a bit more expensive than the seafront bars.
CLEANLINESS - hotel was very clean and tidy. Maids cleaned rooms every day. Clean towels when you wanted them.
LOCATION - about 5-10 mins walk to beach (or longer with my husband as he was always stopping to take photos!) Beach nice but lots of seaweed in places. Sea was lovely and warm. Shallow for quite a long way out so good for children. Lots of choice of bars along seafront and shops. Although thought clothing was quite expensive.
STAFF - hotel staff all very polite and helpful. Reception staff very friendly. Have to hand room key in if leaving hotel, they probably got fed up with us lol! Restaurant staff always very polite and cheerful very efficient at collecting plates so there was always room on the table for seconds (well for my husband anyway!) Bar staff all friendly. Our first night there my husband forgot to take euros to bar and only had english money in his wallet. Barman David thought this was funny and joked about it each time he went to bar. Glasses collected regularly from tables. Entertainers Irene and Nick done kids club from 10-12 and 3-4. Our daughter was so busy in the pool she only went on the last few days beacuase it rained quite a lot and she wanted something to do (although she enjoyed it when she was there) Irene and Nick helped the children to put on a show for the evening (circus of talents) our daughter was a cowgirl and a can can dancer. Very well put together considering they only rehearsed for a few hours. After waterpolo the kids thought it funny to push Nick into pool then not let him out!! (Although my daughter said he is leaving this saturday so he should be safe then!) Thomsons Reps were quite friendly and helpful although as usual at the welcome meeting all they are interested in doing is selling trips. When our daughter was 5 we visited Western World water park and was told that there would be plenty of rides for her to go on but when we got there she was too small for all of them. Other families this year were mislead by the reps too.
ENTERTAINMENT - we stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and there was different entertainent on every night. Some good (Beatles/Westlife/Jacksons/Robbie Williams/Elvis tribute bands) also grease put on by Irene & Nick and 2 other entertainers. They also done show of sketches which was very funny. Some other entertainment not so good. Mini disco for the kids every night (you won't come away without having the Schnappi song in your head!) Mostly very young children doing the dancing so our daughter (11) thought she was a bit old to join in so she did sitting down dancing instead!
For the evening entertainment you need to sit in the middle row of seats otherwise you don't get a very good view as there are posts all the way through the bar and if you get a seat behind one of these you can't see anything.
Would visit again although towards the end of our holiday it rained quite a bit and there wasn't a lot to do in the hotel (bingo and a quiz was put on by entertainers) but if there was a pool table and some other things to do it would have been better.
Only other complaint was the unruly kids. Some parents forgot they had children with them and let them run riot all day and all through the evening. We are not anti-children, we have a child of our own but she knows how to behave in public and we wouldn't let her annoy other people. We are all on holiday so a bit of respect from other parents would be good!!
Swimming pool was quite big but more deep than shallow and very cold!! Which is nice when it is very sunny and hot but we weren't very lucky with the weather (very cloudy most of the time, rain and storms) so think it felt extra cold, brr!!
Sunbeds reserved every morning as soon as 8 o'clock came (our daughter said it was like the march of the cybermen) although there are plenty of notices around the hotel saying you're not allowed to do this. We didn't know until we got to the hotel that there were only British holidaymakers in it. So people are always moaning about Germans putting towels on sunbeds we found the British are just as bad!
Room was a little small, we had 3 beds in the room so getting to wardrobe was a bit difficult. But we only slept in the room so that wasn't really a problem.
All in all we enjoyed a nice holiday.

Entertainment good for kids but did not appeal to adults. Not a fantastic choice of food, but an adequate selection and the quality was good. Pool nice and clean with good bar snacks reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel and would visit it again.

bar area on a number of ocassions found groups of ants coming through the bottom of the windows not so good!
location
10 minute walk from the beach/main area a 3 minute walk from the nearest english pubs.bus stop to alcudia 20 meters away from the front door.
staff
resturant staff some very miserable can get you out of resturant quick enough taking your plate away just as you finnish your food.
bar staff great bunch work very hard non stop...
entertainment very hit and miss
in our fornight i would say 2 or 3 really good shows 2 or 3 not bad shows the rest not worth watching at all look at the message board the night before you can normally tell which we be a good night..
the pool area great clean (very nice pool)
the play area inside hotel grounds very secure our little girl enjoyed herself on the climbing frames etc etc
watch out for
1 the beds ouch!!!
2 the salt and pepper mills came off twice on me it's not so bad in you are in the resturant yuo change your food but if you have just brought lunch in the bar they will not change it bewere!!!!
the reps are fine if you don't req them(some other guests where let down big time over a lost suitcase) they only intrested in selling trips
all in all a good value for money hotel just wish we went for 10days not a fornight.

The evening meal was ok about 6/10 but there was plenty of choice. Location was excellent, 2 mins walk to the beach. Didnt have much to do with the hotel staff as their were no questions or complaints. Evening entertainment included Jackson 5 tribute band, Mowtown tribute and Robbie Williams tribute. I booked a last minute deal for £150 per person and it was an absolute bargain for what I got. Must say that as I have 2 young children, the enclosed playground that you can see when drinking in the outside seating area of the hotel bar is EXCELLENT

This hotel was excellent, food good, spotlessly clean etc. etc. Now my only fault is that this hotel is definitely NOT seniors friendly. I have never spent a holiday like it, we are a retired couple and the children just rampaged through the hotel from morning to night. The bar closed at 1am and the children were allowed to stay up with their parents, the solution to all this mayhem is to have a security guard to patrol the bedroom passageways. Never again unless it goes GOLD!!

The hotel staff all very friendly. The rooms were very clean and plenty of hanging space and drawers.
The thing to watch out for is the bed legs, they protrude a little and hurt your toes if you walk into them. The sandy beach is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and it is great for swimming and lounging around.
If your looking for a great cup of tea then try the Williams Bar its P G Tips made with mineral water and is fantastic, the staff there (William Paco and Andy) are all very friendly and will cook until they close if your hungry.
So thanks to everyone for a fantastic holiday and once again well done Thomson Holidays.

| said: Just back from hotel Haiti,
The great reviews this hotel had, made me want to book. However, the reviews could no have possibly came from the guests.Heres the truth about hotel Haiti.
On arrival my room was not ready,it was not cleaned for us arriving. I went to the reception for a change, but I was told that I was a liar and that the room was ready. Hmmm!
I had to wait in the corridor until my room was ready, they would not give me any change.
Food did not meet 3 star standard. If you like Perch(fish) for food then this is for you. Perch evey night(WOW). Food that was not used was turned into differant dishes for the next day.
You don't get any kind of drink with you're main meal of the day, unless you pay extra for it, even for water.
Staff in dining room very inexperienced, taking you're meal plate away when you're only half finished.
Leaning over you're plate of food to retrieve items from the table.food was very very poor quality, and very poorly cooked.
Entertainment was mediochre. Got eaten alive with ants, whilst sunbathing.
Pool very poorly kept, had bottles and a tampon in the pool for an entire weak.the second pool and spa bath are not in opperation. No tv in rooms. No fridges in rooms. Air conditioning only came on at 1 oclock in the morning, none during the day.
Drink prices away over the top.
The hotel is never 3 stars. No star rating above the hotel name.
In my oppinion, I have been in far better 2 star accomodation. I would only give this hotel a 1 star grading.
REPS had a well rehersed answer for evey question, got nowhere. OVERALL VERY VERY POOR.

Food was very good and varied.
Very clean, maid service every day.
Daytime there was no Thomson's kids club as in our previous visit it was done by hotel entertainment team which was mainly water fights but our daughter(8) enjoyed it. Night time entertainment was really good with group Kool and the gang & comedy show Xerox very funny. Kids mini disco with entertainers Matt Broad and Roy who worked very hard day and night to keep children and adults amused.

The cleanliness in the hotel is second to none. The maids do a fantastic job keeping your room clean and tidy. Bart Simpson got a special place in our room every day, different positions, siting drinking juice, sunbathing on the bed!
The hotel food is not as anticipated, we ate out after the first 2 nights (when you go to the dining room remember to get on in the middle, the sun streams down on the uncurtained, unshaded windows and it is extremely hot.
The location is great, turn right out of hotel and right again and visit Neil and Anne's bar, it's fantastic if you have small children, Neil makes everyone welcome and Ann'e cooking is simple but good food.
Neil and Ann will make you welcome and you will want to go in night after night. Hotel staff are friendly although we did not stay in the hotel after the first day as you cannot get a sunbed by the pool so we went on the beach.
We did not stay for the entertainment so I cannot comment on it. We have a 12 year old son who spent most of his time in the old boat bar on the beach playing on the trampolines. (a great bar if you have kids)

There is always plenty to eat and as long as you like plain cooking you will enjoy it. There is always a cooked breakfast available as well as a variety of cereals. There is no limit to the number of drinks at breakfast but you have to pay for drinks at the evening meal.
The Haiti is only a 10 minute stroll away from the beach. Each time I have stayed at the Haiti they have had problems with one of the lifts breaking down but this is usually sorted very quickly.
I certainly recommend the Haiti for families.

The rooms are cleaned everyday and all public areas are too.
The food was good although we did find it to be a bit repetative.
The hotel is in a perfect location - quite quiet especially if you have young children.
The staff were all very pleasant, apart from the odd time in the Restaurant when they were very busy and we were asking them to clean a table for us.
Entertainment team - Matt, Ruut and Raul are fantastic with the kids and even put on a good few shows for the adults. Not to be missed - Xerox and Westlife Tribute band - both very enjoyable!!
Will definately visit the Hotel Haiti in the future.

| said: We have just returned fom the above hotel and unfortunately I would not recommend this place at peak season to anybody.
The food in the hotel along with the waitresses and cleaners exceeded our expectations with regards to what a three star hotel usually offers, however due to the fact that there was nothing for the teenagers to do who were staying with their families at the same time, this led to gangs of youths wandering around the floors up until 2 o'clock in the morning being generally noisy and causing trouble.
The reception staff found it very hard to cope as they didn't speak particularly good english and obviously the reps weren't around after 8 at night.
We did manage to swap the very noisy first floor for one at the top (tip, if you can get floor 6 do so !!) but on average only got around 6 hours sleep at night (which having a very lively 4 and 6 year old did us no good whatsoever).
With regards to the entertainment, it wasn't too bad, however we felt that the disco started a little too late at 8.40 for the little ones to appreciate it fully and also the daily activity of water bomb fights with the entertainers didn't constitute a kids club with varying ideas to keep the little ones entertained.

I found the hotel staff to be very helpful and friendly. the maids were also very polite and a laugh to chat with...
Even though our room over looked the local gas station on the main road, this was not a problem for us and we could not hear the traffic at night.
The hotel supplied a wide selection of food for breakfast and dinner...however they did not supply a wide selection of vegetarian foods and I found myself living off pasta/ rice and salad for 10 nights. The drinks at the bar and also in the restaurant were very over priced.
The entertainment staff seemed friendly and were always getting the children involved in the daily activity. I can not recommend the evening entertainment as we did not stay in the hotel of a night to see it, however I do recommend the London pub (turn right out of the hotel and right again)where you are sure to have a great time. The owners are friendly and there son Alex is a real laugh and practical joker.

My daughters aged 5 + 3 loved the mini disco and the pool.
Hotel bar, dining room and bedroom (the maids work very hard) was very clean, as was the pool and gardens.
My only complaint was that there was a long gap between dinner and the entertainment (kids disco then show) starting, entertainment starts at 2030 hrs, Too long a gap IMO. Entertainers Becky and Matt good, but not great.
Shows were ok, but Kool and the Gang and The Disney show were FANTASTIC
Bar staff are very nice esp. Estaban and David
Food was very nice, plenty of variety plus a carved meat each night, not sure about Perch Fillets as a fish sish though!

| said: We stayed at the Haiti Hotel on a half board basis, and the food was very good. Always hot and the foodtrays changed regularly. There was a good selection for the breakfast with anything from toast and cereal to a full cooked breakfast. Again in the evening there was a good choice of salad and main course, with the chef carving the meats on most nights.
The maids cleaned the rooms daily and were very thorough and friendly too. Unfortunately during our stay our son had gastroenteritis and had to have the doctor.(Which we believe was a bug that was going around the area at the time) He was confined to the room for 4 days, so this was disappointing for us, however the reps and hotel staff were very helpful and concerned. It would have been a bit better for him if there had been a tv in the room, something to take his mind off his sickness.
The entertainment was mainly tribute bands but was quite good, although there could have been something like a quiz or bingo after the childrens entertainment, which was too young for our son.
Also be careful of the bed legs, we read reports about the legs before we came and were determined that we would not stub our toes, Hey Presto we did, and I had a bad cut on mine too.
The hotel pool is a lovely design but is very deep in the middle, so be careful. Also the area around the pool was mainly grass which made a pleasant change and was not so hot for your feet and also less dangerous when walking about with wet feet from the pool.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and our son says that even though he was poorly he would still like to go back.

Becky and 'the dutch guy' ( Matt?? ) were the in-house ( not Thomson ) kids entertainers, and they were spot on!
Good evening entertainment, with a different tribute band every night ( the 'Kool and the Gang' tribute were amazing! ).
Hotel food excellent ( apart from me getting a tummy bug on the last day - avoid the fish! ) and bar staff very friendly, especially David.
Hotel only a 5 minute walk from beach, maybe a bit longer with little ones in-tow! Beach directions - turn right out of the front door then right again - easy!
Maid service excellent, clean towels every day! I cannot fault this hotel or the resort, excellent for families! Will definitely come back here!

The food was great morning and night it was so clean and the staff so friendly. The childs part of the pool was good but the other part was very deep the rooms are basic but very clean the entertainment was ok but you just feel that if they had a dj two or three times a week, it might help instead of trying so hard to entertain you.

| said: We stayed a Haiti hotel the 1st week of June, it was lovely. The maids clean your hotel room everyday however if not needed there was a 'do not disturb' sign.
We went half board and they gave you a buffet meal in the morning and the evening. Breakfast has fruit, full cooked brekkie, ham, cheese, toast, cereal, dinner had everything you could think of. Drinks for breakfast are free you get apple, orange or pineapple juice coffee or tea. But for dinner you have to pay for whatever drink you would like. You can get lunch from the hotel bar it does stuff like chips, pizza, pasta etc, the bar staff will go out of their way to help you! Estaban yells when your orders ready - he's lovely!
The hotel isnt far from the beach, or the tourist shops. Theres a great bar called 'The Red Lion' it has karoke every night - we all came home with sore throats! it has quizzes and games earlier for the younger ones of us. Charlys bar and club is very nice with lovely bar staff again - sebastian and aaron were really friendly.
Hotel staff - the ones on reception arent very welcoming we were a bit disappointed. However when you meet the other staff it really makes up for it. The restuarant staff are lovely they go out of their way to help you out. The bar staff (Paco, estaban, david and juan) were the loveliest people I have ever met, they kept us entertained until we went out clubbing. The bar doesnt close till 1AM which is great if you dont fancying going outside the hotel for a drink. The night man on duty was lovely and very understanding when we came in at the early hours of the morning. (he was english as well which meant he could understand everything we said.)
Entertainment - The children's entertainers Becky and Matt (German Boy) were great they had the Music mix which everyone could join in with, and then after the 'kids disco' it was entertainment for the older people, tributes from madonna, westlife, grease, beatles etc - these were very good they started about 9.30 and finished about 11.30!
I would stay at this hotel again because we thought it was fantastic!

Plenty of activities all day and into the night for children and adults alike.
The food was great everyday and the breakfast filled a hole till teatime.
Staff in all aspects of the hotel were friendly and polite.
We found all areas of the hotel to be clean and tidy.
A local's supermarket opposite the hotel was very cheap and good for snacks and drinks.
We also recommend a pub down the road called the sun-burnt arms, plenty to do for the kids and again for the parents.
We went back in 2007 and have booked for this year.

| said: Just returned from 2 weeks in this hotel and we had a great time. Everywhere was cleaned thoroughly everyday although the furnishings are very dated and the rooms are very small. They are also a little noisy - the walls are paper thin for you to hear your neighbours and passing guests on the corridor and we were on the third floor and could clearly hear the entertainment if you went to bed before midnight - if you changed rooms the the front of the hotel you could hear the traffic! Certainly not enough to put you off though.
Entertainment was good but there are plenty of bars around which provide a great night out also - you have to try the "Red Lion" on the sea front and the road next to the hotel on your right has three good english bars. The kids club did their best however dont expect too much - just drawing and sticking in a small rooms below stairs but Becki and Matt did a sterling job with kids and adults alike.
The food is without a doubt the best I have ever encountered on a package holiday. The choice is exceptional and all well cooked.
All in all a great base for a basic, clean holiday.

Staff nice and friendly.
Food was really nice, excellent variety.
Entertainment was good, we had Westlife tribute, Motown Tribute, Bee Gees & Abba. They start about 9.30 p.m. and before this they have the children's entertainers..
Would definately visit this hotel again

A good choice of food, friendly and competent staff both in the dining hall and the bar plus a location just right for the beach and shops.
However I have rated the entertainment low not for the quality of the cabaret but for the lack of keeping guests entertained prior to cabaret time. Might I suggest a game of bingo or a quiz.

| said: Lovely Hotel! We were a bit cautious of booking having read previous reviews on this hotel. However, it was fab and we had a lovely time and had no complaints. The food was lovely, and very well presented. The only downside was that there was hardly any 'Mallorcan' dishes and it would have been nice to try something typical to the resort. Our room was good. Cleaned everyday and beds made. Our beds had funny squeeky sheets on them which were a bit frustrating as I woke up from the sound everytime I turned over but I took it off after the first night and slept fine from then on! Our balcony overlooked the main road but this was not a problem as during the day it was too hot to open the balcony door and during the night it was pretty quiet. Only annoying thing was the disco noise coming from the hotel across the other side of the road. It is a fair distance away but they have the disco and bar outside and the music is very loud until late in the evening. Not a problem for me personally but the kids found it difficult to sleep.
I have no complaints about the staff. They were all friendly and although some did speak little english they were all very willing to help. At the end of the day your in Spain and shouldn't expect everyone to speak fluent English!
The pool didn't have a lifeguard but I don't think any of the hotels in the resort had one and we didn't expect one anyway.
The entertainment was ok. The kids loved it (8yrs, 1yr & 3yrs)and there was things to keep them occupied until 9.30pm. After that the entertainment became more adult orientated but nothing that I minded my kids seeing and trust me, I am a fussy parent!
All in all a lovely hotel and if I were to go back to C'an Picafort I would stay there again.

Entertainment staff were friendly enough and always tried their best, with "crazy party mix" a particular highlight. The maids and restaurant staff were friendly, courteus and helpful in the extreme.
The food was exceptional, always prepared and presented well and always varied for kids and adults alike. The hotel in general was clean and well maintained, the pool immaculate and the centre of all the fun.
Hotel Haiti is located perfectly, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and town centre, and although situated on a main road, this is not a problem in terms of noise.
Definitely worth a repeat visit.

| said: When we arrived in Palma airport we jumped on our coach to take us to the hotel. Well I thought that we woud never get there, seemed to be on the coach for ages and with a two year old and a eight year old it was hard work.
Upon arrival our room was not ready, and when it was, it was tiny. There was no cot for my daughter wich was soon resolved but the state of the cot was poor plus there was no room left to get to the wardrobe,so we put the cot on the landing and pushed three beds of all different heights together. Needles to say we all had a sleepless week and was glad to go home.
Food:-food was repetetive, had to pay for water, was overly priced, and to top it all off I had a maggot in my potato.
Can Picfort:- not a great deal there. Boring really alright if you like to stay by the pool all day. Would never go back there.
Must do:- Visit the London pub wich we did every night I cant remember the mans name now but he gave us all a great welcome and loked after us. Very very friendly, and our rep was also great....

| said: Having just returned from a weeks holiday at the Haiti Hotel, we found it to be very clean and tidy with all staff being extremely helpful. However, the location of the hotel we found to be noisy when sunbathing and at night due to the close proximity of a dual carriageway where the local youths cruise day and night. Additionally, entertainment finished at 11pm and this left teenagers with nothing to do but roam the corridors creating annoyance to other residents. We found this was not a relaxing holiday due to the excessive noise from rooms above and to either side (marble floors - people coming in late at night/early morning moving furniture, etc, etc). Sleep disrupted by families returning to rooms, kids running along corridors, screaming whatever time, day or night. Pool very small for the number of guests - children left unsupervised with no lifeguard (we did see one child being dragged from pool during our stay which was rather alarming).
Food we found to be varied and in plentiful supply. Restaurant staff very helpful. Bar staff very helpful too.
Hotel entertainment OK - while adults watching acts kids wanted outside to play - only problem was that the kids playpark was out of sight of hotel the bar area and was completely unlit. Older kids were found drinking in this area. It is a shame as this is a lovely Hotel just far too noisy and busy for us. Oh.....and yes..... watch out for the bed legs - Ouch!!

| said: This was my second time at the Haiti and I've already booked again for next summer. This is a superb family hotel.
Cleanliness: It is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever visited. The cleaning staff work exceptionally hard. A lovely touch this year was our maid placed my daughters teddy in various "sunbathing" poses throughout the hotel room after cleaning each day. Something which delighted my daughter. A very simple thought but much appreciated.
Foodwise: The only complaint I could raise is that if you're a non-meat eater, you could be stuck, even the salads contained meat. There was virtually no consideration to veggies. However, as a meat eater the meals on offer were great, and the meaty salads were superb! (sorry!).
The reception staff are friendly, the bar-staff deserve a special mention for their friendliness and efficiency (they serve "chippies" for lunch and hunt out crisps for the picky eaters late into the night -they also seem to go out of there way to make a fuss of children so special thank you Estoban, Paco, David and Carlos).
The entertainment is the only negative note. The evening entertainment room was far too hot and the view is restricted. The entertainment brought in from outside relied on too many "Tribute" acts. However top marks to what I think were the Haiti hotel's entertainment team.
Louise and the huge Dutch guy who went out of their way to ensure everyone had a fantastic time. Well done to the pair of them. They were brilliant.

| said: We found the hotel to be extremely clean. The cleaning staff were most obliging. The food was excellent and plentiful. On the minus side, there was a lack of ability to speak English on the part of the staff.
Although one receptionist actually was English, he was employed on night duty only, which wasn't exactly helpful when you needed him during the day.
The entertainment provided by outside acts was 'cheesy' and, on one night, downright 'sleazy'. My family and I avoided it at all costs. One night, however, we came back to the hotel early and our young daughter went to watch the show.
We endeavoured to get through the audience to get her out of there as it was quite obvious that, despite having a large family clientele, the entertainment was anything but that destined for family viewing.
One female member of the audience finished up with an entertainer jumping on her and simulating sex with young children milling about!!! This same entertainer then disappeared into a side room, changed costume and, while my back was turned, grabbed my buttocks and dug his nails in! This was like something out of a 'Carry On' movie and totally unacceptable. I issued a formal complaint to the hotel and the Thompson's representative. During the whole of the period we were there - 11 days - only one act was 'worth its salt' and that was 'Davidoff the magician'.
The hotel pool did not have a lifeguard. A fact I found disturbing as there quite clearly should have been one.
Despite these issues, we would perhaps return to the hotel in a few years time but would make every effort to avoid the entertainment and over enthusiastic entertainers!

The food was again excellent good choice of cold and hot for breakfast and salad and hot food for dinner.
good selection with the puddings as well.
The location of the hotel is about a 5 min walk to the beach. On the way to the beach be sure to visit the sunburnt arms.
This is a pub that has 4 free xboxes for the kids to play with while the adults enjoy whatever entertainment simon the owner has instore for them.
A big hello to kate who works as hard as ever.
The hotel are very helpful and polite. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.
The entertainment could do with some improvement as a couple of the acts are done by the kids entertainers and just are'nt quite up to the mark.
The professional acts were quite good but in the end we ended up going to the sunburnt arms for most nights.
I would definatly visit this hotel again, in fact I am about to book it for next year.
Just like to say hello to John, Carol and Jemma who helped make our holiday special.

The dining room was again spotless. Always found a table to accommodate six of us. The food was excellent I have put on nearly a stone in ten days.Childrens area so the kids could help themselves which was great for my six year old.
The entertainment was good what we saw of it tended to go walking after our meal!
Hotel located on a busy road about ten minutes slightly uphill (walking back) from the sea.

The pool was very clean and a good size. There is a good supermarket just across the road.
The maids never stopped working, it was very clean. The bed legs did stick out, wrap a towel round them to save sore toes.
The quality of the food was good but a bit limited. The hotel staff and kidzone reps were very friendly and were great at organising the trips. Bar and Restaurant staff were very friendly too.
Didn't see much of the entertainment, but heard it was ok.
Plenty of bars locally, visit the London Pub it is a laugh! Birdies bar and Sunburt Arms are also worth a visit.

Some guests have mentioned about the traffic noise from the main road but you only get this in the day and who spends the day in the hotel room when you’re on your hols!!
The pool was a good size and kept very clean the only downside was the lack of sunbeds you got the usual sunbed hoggers up at the crack of dawn to reserve them and by 9.00 there were none left.
The food was amongst the best I have had on my travels, a good selection and always freshly stocked and hot.
The entertainment was maybe the only slight letdown but they did there best with the facilities that they had.
I am not one to go to the same hotel twice but if I was to visit the resort again would definitely come back to the Haiti. (And believe me we are very picky)

Watch the bed legs busted toes very probable, only real complaint the entertainment was not up to much provided mainly by reps.
The food... breakfast was excellent ,evening meal was good and tasteful, however could have done with more variety only three main course dishes.
The resort is excellent, quiet area no mad discos, plenty of bars, reastraunts and shops, nice promanade especially at lower end towards marina.
Found a bar on the promanade called chocolate garden, sun/mon/tue nights two germans singing American country music, mainly a german bar but very good.
Day time food give trotters on the beach a go..
Overall a good area of Majorca, would go back to Haiti hotel...

Watch out- the legs on the beds stick out - don't know how many times I stubbed my toes. The dining room is spacious and the meals are very hot. Not a great variety but the quality of the food was very good. The staff were very helpful. Cannot comment on the entertainment as we went out most nights.
The only downside we found with the hotel was that it was situated across from a Petrol Station on a very busy road - be very aware when trying to cross. There is a Mercadona supermarket where you will find everything you need and it is also very cheap.
There was plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to go round but hotel got very busy our 2nd week and the stampede began to get down asap to get a bed - needless to say we didn't bother - the beach is not far away. Turn right when you leave the hotel and turn first right and the beach is right at the bottom.
We would go back to the Hait but not during the 1st week in June.

Buffet style food suited us especially having two toddlers to accommodate as they could choose what they wanted to eat. All food was served fresh and as soon as the chef saw that the food trays were looking a little sparse he would get his staff to fill them asap.
The hotel rooms were cleaned every day, as well as the surrounding areas of the hotel. This included sweeping the streets surrounding the hotel.
The only complaint I have about the room is that the bed legs were protruding out and on numerous occasions we all stubbed our toes. A simple solution would be to put some foam around the bed legs.
Hotel location was 1hr from the airport, more importantly up the road from the beach.
It was lovely to see the same hotel staff as last year. Still as friendly and welcoming.
We did not stay in the hotel for the entertainment but we could hear it from the hotel room. The acts did sound quite good.
Yes we would definitely visit this hotel again.

What a wonderful place. The hotel was fantastic, the food great (especially the staff - Paco, Aria, Juan,& Fran).
We were on the 5th floor, with a lovely pool view. The pool was very clean.
The maid came in every day to clean & leave clean towels & change the sheets.
The lifts are small & slow, but we weren't in a hurry as we took on the typical Spanish way... fantastic!
We only saw a few shows as we spent our evenings in by the beach (5 mins away). We had cocktails at the Oasis bar, where the staf were friendly & the drinks cheap (3 euros for a cocktail, but its happy hour every night, all night!)The also have a parrot called Crestidge who is very entertaining.
The is a Mercadona supermarket over the road for the extras you might need such a bottled water. The peaches are huge!
All in all a great holiday... I cried when it was time to leave!
We will definately go back!

Rooms were clean and tidy and the view from our 3rd floor balcony was superb. As with previous comments the food was excellent and just could not be faulted. The staff also made you most welcome and were very friendly. Only negative comment on a personal basis was that the rooms previous occupant was a smoker and the smell persisted for several days( being a non-smoker this was not good).
The walk to the beach was very easy and took about 5 mins.

Once on our floor we noticed a strong smell. In our room the smell was worse. I opened the balcony door and was hit by the roar of traffic. The traffic noise was almost 24 hours a day.
The view opposite the hotel is a small patch of waste ground and a petrol station, which seemed to be open most hours of the day. Around the side of the hotel (as I had an end room) was a small, very dirty swimming pool. Food was very limited. Rooms basic and worn, no extras. Poor electrics on lighting. Entertainment was amateur and not a show every night. main swimming pool seemed to be unheated.
The hotel has only 2 lifts, one of which broke down almost daily while I was there. A problem with the lifts was also that they did not level correctly,
Forming a step to trip on. Head staff were quite rude.

| said: The operator's report stated that this hotel was not a quiet hotel which led me to believe that it was a busy hotel with lots going on but what it actually referred to was noise.
The hotel is beside a busy main road with traffic 24/7. The 'quiet' rooms at the back suffered from collection of rubbish and deliveries at night. There are 2 lifts that carry 4 adults only hence most people use the stairs and rooms facing the lifts and stairs suffer noise. All single rooms face out to the main road and are situated opposite the lifts and stairs.
The single rooms measure 8' x 22' housing the smallest bath I've seen - 30ins long! The only extra facility in the rooms is the air conditioning. There are sockets for TV's/aerials but none provided. There are no fridges or hairdriers. The hotel is very clean.
The restaurant menu doesn't offer too much choice but is good quality.
The entertainment left much to be desired. They listed rifle shooting twice during the week of my stay and it was cancelled twice.
Staff are helpful. Average bar drinks are 4/5 euros (much cheaper down the road - less than half the price!) I had a bottle of wine one night costing 11 euros, it was only 3 in the local supermarket.
My final comment on the noise (and perhaps this is why they cancelled the rifle shooting), I was woken at 5.30 each morning by the local rooster!

| said: Had the pleasure of traveling to many places around the world and the hotel Haiti has got to be one of the favoured.
The staff at this hotel are well motivated, polite and wonderful with the children, special thanks to Annie, Carmen and Juan in the restaurant. The food is of a very high standard with a great and varied choice daily.
The rooms were impeccably clean although a little small.
The evening entertainment was wonderful when the hotel entertainment reps put on varied shows including a wonderful adaptation of the film Grease.
If you have children and have reservations about certain hotels this hotel well dispel them.
Thanks again for a lovely time can't wait to return.

| said: Just got back from Hotel Haiti. Had a lovely time the food was excellent, the staff were excellent, the room was a little tiny with three beds squeezed in but not really a problem.
The maids came in everyday without fail and I would have no doubt about returning to this hotel again.
Only saw the entertainment a couple of nights but enjoyed what I saw.
My friends daughter really enjoyed the kids club and it was a nice break.
If you turn right when you exit the hotel then right again continue down the road you will come to a bar called the London bar before you get to the beach, the waiter there is called alex and is very friendly and the food is really nice so please give it a go.

| said: hi we had a great time at hotel haiti! the food was excellent and i myself met alot of new people and friends.theres alot to do in the main town street.the hotel itself was brillant!the swimming pool was very spacious .the head barman is extremely funny! Bo and Marie the kids entertainers were brillant and were highly recommended!there is also a childrens park which is good for the kids to mix in with other children and make friends! if you want to make friends go down to the park in the hotel!the main entertainment wasnt very good! except one night were westlife came i got to go on the stage and be an uptown girl! ha ha.the resort itself wasnt that good there wasnt much to do except go down to the beach and chill out!the beach is lovely with clear water it was like looking in a glass! i highly recommend you to go on the boat trip! you hav a picnic onboard with sangria, you get to swim in the sea it said on the leaflet 2 times but we only got to swim once, the sea was extremley saltly on the boat trip so i had to come back on the boat it wasnt nice atall! apart from that the trip was nice.theres a little bar called pepe's its really nice and the drinks are much cheaper than the hotels! its just behind the hotel if your room is at the back (not facing the pool) you will be able to see it, the food at pepe's is nice aswell. it was a great hoilday and i would like to go back there!

| said: This is an excellent hotel. if you have kids it is ideal. our room was cleaned and fresh towels left every day. The room was good but be careful when walking past the bed as the bed legs stick out a little more than usual and you could catch your toes on it, as i did more than once. The lifts were very slow. if you can walk i would recommend not waiting and using the stairs. The hotel food was the best. they catered for everyone with 4 different types of salad every night and lots of meats to choose from. the breakfasts were brilliant. The only moan that i have about the food was that in the morning for breakfast you could have as much tea, coffee, orange juice etc. as you wanted but in the evening you had to pay for these things. we stayed at the back of the hotel overlooking a disused swimming pool. the reason for its disuse is for health and safety reasons, but is still looks nice. i think this is the quietist side as the front and pool side face a busy main road. The noise from the main road to me was not a problem while sitting by the pool as the noise from all of the people drown the trafic noise quiet easily. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull. Bo and Marie were great entertainers, especially for the kids. The entertainment in the evening could do with a little pick up. we seen 5 professional acts and only 1 was any good. Overall this was an excellent hotel and we will be going back.

| said: Hotel cleanliness was second to none! Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed daily.
Restaurant was spacious and well presented. Food was excellent with plenty of choice at both breakfast and evening. Food was constantly being replenished.
Hotel was close to all amenities, it was a ten minute stroll to the beach. There was a nice bar called esp - pop which was at the harbour. If you go to the beach ,turn right and carry on walking for about ten minutes you will come to it on the left hand side. Staff were really friendly and drinks were very reasonable.
Restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and friendly. Elena and Jaun who work in the restaurant were good fun they certainly entertained the children!
Most evenings we went to the beach and visited bars there, so we can't really comment on the entertainment.
Overall we thought this hotel was great value for money and great for families.

| said: This has to be one of the best holidays I have had. I found everything about this holiday excellent, I can't complain about any of the staff they were all so friendly, polite and willing to help at all times, we were always greeted with a smile.
The food was excellent, the kitchen staff catered for all kinds of people and as it was buffet style you could eat whatever you wanted, there is also a separate section for the children.
The pool area was always spotless, bar staff would come around every 15 minutes or so and collect empty glasses. The fact that people could take glasses around the pool concerned me a little as we found some glass in the childrens play area.
The hotel was ideally situated especially for families with children as it was a short walk away from the beach but away from the noisy pubs on the front. There is a supermarket directly over the road so that is convenient for buying water and snacks.
We didn't spend many nights in the hotel as we were usually at a bar called Trotters on the beach (a very good bar, I would recommend it!) but the bit that we did see seemed quite good, the entertainment finished at a reasonable time so people could get to bed at a reasonable hour.
We will hopefully be returning to the hotel next summer!

| said: The hotel lobby was very clean & spacious & the reception staff were very friendly. The restaurant staff were absolutely lovely - expecially ANI - she made such a fuss about our daughter Chloe. The restaurant is very clean and the food was spectacular - we arrived expecting to have to eat out, even though we were half board, but that wasn't the case at all the food was fantastic & plenty of it!
The bedroom was a little on the small side for 3 single beds & the bathroom was more that a little tired - needs a facelift.
Delighted when the balcony lights were off at 12midnight - allowed you to enjoy an evening out without it being too late.
Not too noisy.
The main room was very smoky when it was busy - but the area outside by the pool was great to enjoy a drink.
Overall a really lovely hotel & a great hotel.

| said: The best choice of food we have ever come accross on a Half Board Holiday.
Everywhere was clean. Rooms very basic but high standard of cleanliness.
Bo and Marie should be given a pay rise, they work really hard to ensure everyone has a good time.
Entertanment great (except the French band one night, don't call us...we'll call you!)
