| said: Have just come back from a two week holiday at the Lagoon centre & had a BRILLIANT time. We travelled as a party of 12 (2 families) with 7 children aged from 2 to 16. The hotel itself was spotless with cleaners 5 days a week. The staff were fantastic & couldn't do enough to help (especially Bamba the barman). Food & drinks were great & inexpensive. Nikki the rep is really friendly. The pool although not massive is ideal for people with young children as you can see them at all times. Entertainment is o.k, Gillian does the best she can & is a really nice girl & good with the kids. The Lagoon Centre is ideally placed only a 2 min walk from all the bars & restaurants but far enough away as not to experience any noise. Would definately book to go back next year but have heard it will be a mostly scandinavian resort.

| said: Not impressed at all. The prices for food and drink were ridiculous, the cleaners were rubbish, the entertainment was non existent. Our 2 children were bored stiff, the pool was ice cold.
We had to pay 70 euros for the TV. The bath in our apartment needed replacing, the kitchen equipment was rubbish need i go on...
We spent the last week of our holiday in another hotel during the day at their pool and ate there most of the time because it was lovely, the food was great and affordable (tasted delicious as well) great entertainment as well.
All i can say is the bar staff were lovely at the lagoon centre. Receptionists were useless and could hardly speak any English. Our so called entertainer (a 21 yr old) hadn't got a clue and also left the day we came home so there was no so called entertainment at all.
Our rep, if you could call her that, was no more use than a chocolate fireguard. When she was around she was outside the hotel on her mobile what a cushty job she has 'don't no' was her middle name.
Never again.

The entertainer who was called michael was a real good guy he worked hard and there was never a dull moment he made everyone come together on holiday with fun night's in the bar even round the pool in the day, all the kid's loved him he got our thumb's up. i must say we found the lagoon centre a really friendly complex from all the staff to all the guest's we met and made some good friend's we will be going back next summer without a doubt. Well done the lagoon centre.

| said: The hotel location is towards the back of the resort, but in a good location away from all the bars and shops. Generally fairly quiet at night.
The room was surprisingly larger than we expected and we had a great view from the 5th floor balcony. I would imagine that if you were on a lower floor then the view would be poor. The aircon worked well, we had a kettle, microwave, small fridge freezer and toaster. There we no local charges for these - quite refreshing!!
I agree with other reviews about the pool being cold and there is far too much shade around the pool. It gets quite busy around the pool so choose your position carefully if you want to enjoy the sun! The plastic sunbeds are uncomfortable, so get a thick towel or sponge mat.
The price of drinks and snacks are reasonable for a hotel and the staff were excellent and friendly. I thought the evening entertainment was quite good, don't expect too much and you will be pleasantly surprised.
We found a supermarket behind the hotel and to the right, probably a 5-10 min walk. It is where the locals shop and is so much cheaper than the rip-off shops near the touristy areas. We tried a chinese restaurant just in front to the right of the hotel, the food was excellent for the price.
Have a go at walking up the hill in the distance behind the hotel, the reps will give you info for the best times to go. Take your camera and plenty of water and a hat, the view from the top is amazing. Although very hard work if you're like me fairly unfit! Checkout google earth and you can see photos taken from the top of the hill.
Overall the holiday was great, a week was enough to see everything, the waterpark was good fun and within walking diatance. The beach was excellent and not too busy.
To sum up I would definately recommend the Lagoon Centre,
I won't be going back as I never go back to the same place twice!

The air con did not work and the staff refused to help claiming it had been checked and it was fine! Only when we complained to the bar man did we get fans.
The hotel was crawling with flying ants, and after a night out we return to our apartment covered in them! Again no help from reception, and its left to the the bar tender to give us spary to kill them.
Entertainment was ok but felt sorry for the one man who had to entertain the whole hotel.
The location of the hotel was good as it was quiet at night away from all the music and noise from pubs nearby.
Wouldnt visit hotel again based on this experience.

The facilities were good with the bar, pool and park etc all being neat and convenient.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the entertainer was creative and good fun.
The location was superb as we were a stones throw away from a group of bars and restaurants which surrounded a nice little park which my daughter loved. The beach was convenient to get to and from, the only down side being the busy road that needed crossing to get to it, however the resorts traffic seemed to be confined to it leaving the smaller roads very quiet.
As a whole the Lagoon centre was very pleasant and although the soft drinks and ice creams were pricey,we have already booked up for August next year.

Hotel food and drink on expensive side, but lots of places to eat out locally (Castillas very good for english brekkie).
Family run hotel, the staff were very friendly and approachable. Not too big 64 rooms 5 floors with lift. Rep (Ross) extremely helpful, and not pushy at all. Miguel the barman was great!
Entertainment extremely disappointing. World cup on but nothing for the kids to do (apart from pool).
Would visit again, if entertainment vastly improved.

Depends what you want from your accomodation but if you want a clean well placed base then this is great. Hotel is in a good location, a nice 5 minutes walk to nearby restaurants and bars and is cleaned regularly. Would we stay again? Answer - a resounding YES!

Apartment was cleaned regularly and suited us fine. Nice balcony. Comfortable twin single beds. Kids slept on the makeshift beds in the lounge, which they were happy with. Bathroom has a loo, washbasin, bath and a decent shower attachment. There is air conditioning in the apartments but we didnt have cause to use it. The lounge area includes the 'kitchen', consisting of a decent fridge, 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cups, plates, cultery [including the all important wine bottle opener!]
Friendly hotel staff. Resident First Choice Rep was a nice, genuine kind of fella [helpful and not pushy].
We visited this hotel the same week last year [see previous report] and couldnt wait to return for our annual family holiday. Delighted to say we werent disappointed.
As far as we are concermed, this hotel makes an ideal base to explore this large resort. We didnt hang around the hotel much in the evening so cannot comment much on the entertainment. Although we did catch a parrot show, which was quite a giggle.
We will visit the hotel again... hopefully same time next year.

But the apartment was dirty, ants and crawly things all over the floor. Cooking facilities in our apartment virtually non existent and what was there was filthy.
No entertainment in the evening not even occasional no daytime activities for the children very long walk to the beach bath was filthy kettle was manky two days later almost came home it was that bad but decided to stay couldn't really afford extra flights home.
The staff were not very helpful, so overall it was a miserable week in the lagoon centre apartments which wasn't all it was cracked to be.
I wouldn't stay there again.

The apartments are just 5 minutes walk from many bars and restaurants, and just 10 minutes from the beach.
The apartments are kept clean. There are limited cooking utensils but this is not a problem for most people as there are so many options for eating out.
The pool is clean. Not too big, due to the number of rooms - its not a large complex.

| said: Stayed at the Lagoon centre apartments on a last minute deal, got here a day late after a mix up by the rep at the airport but made it here eventually.
Pleasantly surprised by the apartment lots of storage space and very very clean, the apartment was basic but had everything we needed for the two of us. Balcony was big enough and again quite clean but the view wasn't so good, stayed in room 103 and view was simply of another ground floor building but it wasn't really a problem.
We didn't see any evidence of entertainment during our stay and there didn't even seem to be a stage or anything, but there was a lounge area with widescreen TV which played cartoons, football etc. Facilities within the hotel were quite minimal, and the pool was absolutley freezin an we only went in it once, couldn't face it again! but there was plenty of sunbeds and if it wasn't for the massive trees keeping everything in the shade it would be a really nice area.
Not really many staff at the hotel, but the receptionists were really nice an friendly and very helpful if you needed directions or anything at all really.
The location of the apartments is fantastic and one of the best things about it. 5 minutes walk from plenty of bars, restaurants and shops but far enough away to avoid the noise. only 10 minutes (if that) from the beach which is absolutley beautiful, but you do have to cross a busy road.
All in all had a fantastic holiday and would definetely return.

| said: Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised on the spaciousness of the rooms, although basic it was clean and offered plenty of storage and hanging space etc.
The kitchen area was small with little facilities for cooking. No oven, just a hob, no toaster, microwave or grill. The kettle was more of a travel kettle (only held enough water for 2 cups).
There was a fridge with a small frozen section, this was very clean. The room offered air conditioning but this only worked when turned on by your apartment key which meant you could only benefit from the air conditioning whilst in the apartment. The overall cleanliness of the rooms were very good with maid service making your beds and changing your towels 3 days out of the week.
The positioning of the hotel was very good, 5 mins walk from many restaurants and pubs and of course the lively boulevard crammed with souvenier shops.
Only downfall about positioning of hotel is the fact that to get anywhere u have to walk over these rickety old metal stair bridges.facilities in hotel very sparse.
The swimming pool was very clean although absolutely freezing, plenty of sunbeds available, tables and grass parasols to sit under and palm trees surrounding poolside for privacy. Large satellite TV, with comfortable seating area, bar meals available although didnt eat much apart from hamburger. Pool table and small stage, although entertainment very poor. We saw a magician, rest of week the odd game of bingo or quiz, but that was it. We preferred to leave complex and visit other hotels for entertainment.
You may find that having a lie in was out of the question as cleaners made it impossible for you to sleep, if they wasnt shouting to each other they were cutting the grass or hoovering up leaves from trees at 7.30am!!!!!
Our opinion of the hotel was ideal if you want peace and quiet with the free choice of shopping and eating out in a more livelier atmosphere outside the complex. Local to everything with a very safe beach 10 mins walk away.
We wouldnt visit this hotel again because if it wasnt for the lovely group of people we became very friendly with we would have died of boredom.

We found the pool area to be quite cramped, and often over crowded.
Not many staff, just an overworked barman and a very poor quality entertainment man.
Only evening entertainment was bingo, and a big TV.
Located beside a large smelly canal, which was covered in green slime, and buzzing with insect life!
If you are just looking for somewhere to crash out, and are happy to walk for 15 mins across two main roads to the beach, then this is for you!

| said: Just got back from Lagoon Center Apartments and couldn't fault them.
Good size, basic but clean.
Good location, family friendly and most of all had air conditioning which we needed with temps above 35 degrees every day.
We found the First Choice reps Sean and Colin to the best reps we have met in 12 years of going abroad. Didn't try selling trips we didn't want but went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Hotel staff friendly and helpful too.
No kids club but the hotel did have a family entertainer called Jamie and he did the various daytime and evening entertainment. Whilst we were there on Wednesday evenings special guests came in to entertain the first week was a magician which the kids loved and the second week we had an Elton John tribute. Most evenings had kids disco, kids games, bingo and quizzes.
Had a very enjoyable holiday. Would highly recommend these apartments and the resort of Alcudia. Best places to eat - Agra for a brilliant curry, Roma for pizza, pasta and steak plus Woody Woodpeckers for a good value British meal.

The pool and play areas are fenced in so you know the kids are safe if they charge about. Also tall trees ensure the play area is shaded for most of the day.
The hotel's bar snacks and drinks are expensive though. But very close to the main street with plenty of other places to eat. We eat out every evening.
Last but not least a fantastic view from our 4th floor balcony of the resort, canals and hills.

The room was a good size for us anyway and very clean, there seemed to be an army of maids cleaning all over the hotel every day it was spotless.
Your only 10 mins from the beach, and shops and bars are even closer.
I only gave 3 stars for entertainment as we arrived right at the start of the season it was very quiet and although the entertainer(Dave) tried to get us going there were really not enough people to join in but I'm sure it will improve as the season goes on ...
All in all a fantastic holiday in a brilliant hotel.

The only problem with this hotel was that the sun didn't come round on the pool till about 3 in the afternoon. But don't let that put you off, because the beach is gorgeous, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like the beach!
The staff and reps were very friendly. The whole atmosphere there was good. The entertainment wasn't very good, but that is because we went the second from last week in the season. The poolside snacks are good, and the bar is always fully stocked.
It's about a 15 minute walk from the beach which seems quite far when it is hot, but is not too bad. The water park is within walking distance.

The location of the apartments was ideal, near to bars and restaurants and a five minute walk to the lovely golden beach. The pool side was spotless too and no reserving sunbeds, plenty for everyone. Daytime activities around the hotel were not as frequent as planned although there was the odd game of water volleyball and the odd session of scuba diving. The hotel entertainment was to our liking not too boisterous and the rep kira was lovely. All the hotel staff - Miguel, Toni, Maria, Ramiro etc looked after everybody brilliantly! We have booked to go back next year - absolutely loved it. Highly recommended! We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. Didn't want to leave!! Roll on next year! The entertainment wasn't brilliant for us, there is a kids club for ages 3 and upwards, but we couldn't use that, as our daughter is only 2. It was really well run though, the mini disco was at 8.30 but not many kids there, maybe due to time of year.
Basically, if your children are 3 upwards, it is great for you and them!!!!

| said: Just back from the Lagoon Center. I, my wife and two children (who are 11 and 4) had a brilliant week. The apartment was very clean and the weather extremly hot.
We must have been very lucky because no smell drifted from the canal and we had no bother with the mossies at all.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The First Choice Rep Dave was a bit full of himself and was of little help except when it came to selling trips like Pirates, which he raved about and which was ok, but not worth the 100 odd pound we spent for the four of us to go.
The entertainer was called Pablo who was as mad as a hatter, but very good at getting people involved with activities plus the kids loved him.
The Kids clubs were good and very friendly, especially Wendy Buchanan who was excellent with the children.
The only down side of the holiday was the expense and the amount of bars which catered for the British Tourist (!)
If you go on holiday you really want to try something different and not be stuck with eating burgers and chips for the week.
The two best restaurants we found were El Toro and Roma (an Italian Steakhouse). The food in both were excellent and although slightly more expensive (around £30-35 for the four of us) it was well worth it.
I would definately stay at the Lagoon again. If anyone wants any other info just let us know.

(Even though the first four days were torrential rain)The apartment itself was basic but clean with a regular supply of clean towels. The complex was clean, bar snacks were good and the bar was well stocked!! The staff were excellent very friendly & helpful and spoke great english. There was entertainment day and night, the entertainer was an english girl also named Beth, she was brill got everyone up enjoying themselves, all the kids loved her, dont whether she'll be there this year, if she is you'll have a great time. Everyone we met there really enjoyed it and all said they'd go back.
Ther are plently of good bars nearby, Woody Woodpeckers great food, Cheers Bar good food & entertainment, Peach Pit great for the kids we didn't eat there but someone said it was good. Best food of all was The Britannia Bar opposite Hotel Jupiter etc its owned by an english girl called Tanya, ex holiday rep married to a spanish bloke, fantastic food and service they'll do anything you like, couldn't fault it!
Wish we were going this year but our friends have persuaded us to go to Ibiza with them but we may be back next year. If you need to no anything else just ask!

| said: Just come back from Lagoon on the 15th Oct 2002. Brill place. very clean. staff polite and helpful. Apartment spaceous but can get noisy from other guests banging doors etc. Only 2 electric rings in apartment and no oven if you wanted to cook whilst there, but there are that many places to eat, you won't need to use them anyway. Kids clubs are great, my two throughly enjoyed them, although some things they do charge for like the pizza, ice cream night and excusions for them, but they are worth it. Entertainment not to bad, the usual ie. Parrot show etc. Centre itself was in a great position not to far from anything and just down the road from all the main bus routes, which i would recommend the use of instead of taxis alot cheaper. Pool very cold but you don't need to worry about sunbeds, there are always loads available. All in all had a great time and recommend this place to anyone with kids,
