We stayed in the Mimoza apartments, on a self catering basis, we can not fault it at all. It has basic cooking faciltys including a microwave, if you did want to cook at all. Air conditioning which you do need. It is one the best apartments we have ever stayed in. The apartments were very clean, the maids come round monday to friday to make the beds, change the towels and change the bins. The staff are very helpful. They have entertainment during the day in the main pool but we stayed at the slightly smaller pool which has a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere. They did have enterainment in the evening but we went in the main town instead so we can't really comment.

On arrival we were delayed for an hour checking in has somebody had not spelt our name correctly on thier arrivals list.

The room was at the rear of the hotel this was overlooking the car park but did not have the loud noise like the front hotel rooms.

The entertainment both day and night was for the children.

The Breakfast was over by 9am and very basic with the same queue for your fried eggs or pancakes.

The resort was great and lots of nice family greek taverners along the beach past bar street.

Paphos Garden apartment Camelia 266 begonia 108 then tulip 104.

Arrived at the Paphos Gardens to be shown to a smelly apartment with mould. Asked reception if we could be moved there was nothing available until the next day (staff helpful).

Next day was shown 2 apartments, one a 2 bedroom and the other was a 3 bedroom opted for the 3 bedroomed one told there was a supplement to pay which was worth it. Very clean with everything we needed.

Kitchen window smashed by brick nothing stolen from apartment informed reception who called the police (found out next day that 2 English children who were holidaying thought it would be funny to throw stones and broke 6 windows in total around the resort) moved to another apartment and was refunded the suplement we had paid.

Food ok entertainment was loved by my children would not return to Paphos Gardens not my cup of tea.

Me, my wife and 10 year old son have just returned from our stay in the Paphos gardens apartments.

Having read a few of the reports on this site we were a little concerned. When you arrive you have to hang around for somebody to show you to your apt because the place is like a maze when you first arrive.

There are 17 apt blocks all named after flowers. We were shown to the Camelia block, first impression basic, clean liveable until we opened the patios to be greeted by a building site a new complex is being built next door. This only affects this one block. We went and complained (politely) and a lovely lady called Nikki who seems to run the place changed our room immediately to a much nicer room in the Jasmine block.

The location of these apartments is perfect it is 5 mins walk straight down to the municipal beach which isnt a huge beach but it is a nice sandy beach. One tip get there early if you require a parasol one day we went and their were none and it was 38 degrees in May !

On site there is a little supermarket which stocks just about everything you need. There are 2 good sized pools with plenty of beds.It is also 10 - 15 walk into the main town but as you walk ther are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from and very few poor ones.

The hotel staff were excellent although we stayed in the apts whenever we had dealings with them we found them very helpful. The maids came in and quickly cleaned the apt and made the beds every other day.

Cant really comment on the entertainment didnt see any seemed to be the same thing going on every night when we went past.. Very HI DE HI !!

We stayed in Begonia 104 for 2 nights...I have never seen so many ants and cockroaches in my life. So I asked if we could be moved to another part of the complex,we did so at no extra charge to Narkissus 101 very nice and clean well decorated out and we didnt see another cockroach for the rest of our 2 week holiday.

The maids were very nice but a bit more effort could have been used when cleaning the apartment.we only went to the greek night this was a bit boring, also went to the hypnotist evening that was very boring to.

The price of drinks leaves a lot to be said for buying outside the hotel 50% cheaper to buy in the shops.

The location of the hotel is very good near all the local restaurants and the small but clean beach and bars and shops are nearby as well.

After reading some previous reviews we tried some of the restaurants that were supposedto be good in the area..LES AMIS wasnt very nice at all. KOH I NOOR indian nice but expensive ZA-ZA WONDERFUL MEALS and the staff there are all lovely friendly people Andreas Mario Eddie Katarina and Angela are a hit with everyone who eats there.

Further down the main street is the ADELAIDA LOVELY FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE AND HUGE PORTIONS to Laura is the best hostess in Paphos and all the staff are friendly too, opposite the THE ALEXANDER THE GREAT HOTEL is a great bakery ideal for bread cakes and rolls all at a sensible price and fresh every day, OASEN down near the harbour do a FAB full english breakfast at cheap prices very good for the money. Just before the Rose corner the ice cream parlour is to die for you name a flavour they have got it yummy!

Having read some of the reviews on the site, we too were worried about what we were letting ourselves in for. Having booked a superior apartment, we still ended up asking our travel agent to fax the Paphos Gardens to check whether it was a renovated one or not. Paphos Gardens confirmed that the superior apartments were the ones that had been renovated and that we would have a safety deposit box in the room.

We were still wary but as soon as we saw the apartment block, we could tell that it was a renovated one. The renovated apartments are right next to the hotel and the studio was one of the best we have stayed in. Everything looked brand new and it was sparklingly clean, with a nice terraced area. We had asked for a high floor and a sea view, but the sea view would only apply to the hotel not the apartments, so don't be surprised if you don't get one. From what we gathered, the apartments that people have had a problem with are the ones that are privately owned but sub-let by the holiday companies.

On the subject of security, we checked our patio doors as soon as we got there and were satisfied that nobody could get in. Also, we didn't hear of any break-ins while we were there, which makes us think that they may have been inside jobs and that this has now been sorted out by the hotel managment.

The location of the hotel and apartments is good. It's a five minute walk to the beach and there are a number of good restaurants close by. Other than Za Za's and Zambezi, the Khor I Nor Indian was fantastic, as were the Mandarin Palace Chinese and Tratorria La Viga Italian. We aso had a good set meal for two in the mexican on Bar Street - it's the only one we saw so you can't miss it. The walk into the harbour area will take you about 20 mins from the apartments, so it's best leaving this until the evening when it's a bit cooler!

The main pool area was good, apart from the fact that you need to get up early to reserve your sun beds (you'll get a letter when you arrive saying that you mustn't reserve beds, but everybody does). If you like to be in the sun for most of the day, then this is a must as a lot of the beds are in the shade from midday onwards. The waiters around the pool are very friendly and are around at all times for you to order drinks and food, if you don't want to miss out on any sun by going to the pool bar.

A word of warning though - we were tending to have a couple of drinks each by the pool for the first few days along with a toasted sandwich and were spending about £25 each day, before buying our evening meal. Didn't realise Cyprus was so expensive. You're better off buying your own beer and local spirits from the supermarket as it works out so much cheaper, and that's coming from somebody who doesn't mind spending money.

There was a team in the hotel dedicated to entertainment and the activities were geared towards both kids and adults. Aqua aerobics, water volleyball and water polo were played everyday, but there was no pressure from the team to get involved if you didn't want to. Although we don't have children it was plain to see that the kids club was very good, with a range of activities, such as painting, table tennis and pool competitions and treasure hunts organised everyday. The nightly entertainment was a bit more like butlins, with bingo, kiddies disco and kareoke, but we were out and about in the resort so this didn't bother us too much.

If we were to return to Paphos, then I would have no problem staying in these apartments again, especially if we had kids.

We have just returned from the Paphos Gardens and were unlucky enough to have have stayed in two rooms which had not yet been updated. We had 2 two bedroomed apartments (Geranium 205 & 206). From what we could see ours was 2 of 3 that had not been updated in our block. Our apartments although clean and spacious were very shabby. Cracked tiles, shabby settees, televisions on the blink, dodgy plug sockets - generally just old and tired. We were very disappointed. Our holiday was not cheap and we had booked 10 months in advance.

I wish I had read this website before booking as I can only agree with most of the comments that have gone before regarding updated rooms. There seems to be no pattern as to whether you get a good apartment or a bad one. Chatting with other people around the pool we realised how fantastic some of the apartments were and what we were missing out on!

A mistake on our part was not to read the small print in our brochure and realise that we had to pay extra for air conditioning - £2.50 (Cypriot) per unit per day. (We had 3). We complained and managed to get it for half price.

We were very close to the Oasis Pool which was handy but you had to get up early to get a sunbed so not very relaxing. The pool bar was adequate but the ice creams were pricey (easier to send the kids round to the supermarket if they are old enough!).

A word of warning about ear infections. We were told they were very commonplace and to buy some earplugs. We didn't, our friends did and all 4 children had an ear infection which spoilt a couple of days of our holiday.

The hotel do a meal deal (3 Dinners and 3 Breakfasts) which you can use on any day of your stay which was a good idea. Each night had a theme. There was plenty to eat and good value. The breakfasts were very good. Angela in the restaurant was very helpful.

The entertainment was OK if you like karaoke and holiday camp type entertainment. One night they had a hypnotist who was very good.

On the plus side (yes there is one!). The location of the apartments was excellent - not far from the beach and away from the main road and noise. We had some excellent restaurants on our doorstep - Za Za and Zambizee were very good. The complex overall was pretty good and the gardens were well maintained. The bar and restaurant were spacious and good.

If you love cats there are plenty around to look after and feed.

I would come back but only if we could be assured we would have an updated apartment.

I stayed at the Paphos Gardens Apartments with my parents and my friend.

We had paid for a superior apartment, yet when we arrived we were shown to an apartment that was clearly not superior (although very nice, spacious and was on two levels). We complained the next morning as we arrived during the night and were moved to a superior apartment straight away.

The apartments were spacious and well maintained (the superior ones anyway). The maids came every day and although we had heard there were often break-ins, we did not have anything taken and our apartment was right on the edge of the complex!!

The pools were both a good size and both had a jacuzzi in!!

The complex was very 'green' which I thought made it look really fresh and added to the effect!

Stayed in two-bedroom superior apartment, which turned out to be two separate apartments within small adjoining corridor with own front door. This was great for my two teenagers who needed their own space.
Excellent apartment(s).

Staff very helpful.

Cleaners in more often than other places we've stayed.

Air conditioning necessary at no extra cost.

Only downside was nightly entertainment which went on till after midnight and could be heard from our bedroom! Two cockroaches discovered (on two separate nights). Reported to hotel staff and cleaners came in next day and sprayed - no more cockroaches!

Hotel is well placed though - not right in the centre of all the buzz.

No problems with anything except the T.V. channels didn't quite turn out to be what is advertised in the hotel brochure. A.c. worked fine, kitchen equipment good, safety deposit box good and good sized pool(s).

Had one meal in the hotel (the Greek evening) which was excellent value for money. Very handy for local restaurants and good on-site shop.

Really no complaints at all!

We were dreading this holiday after reading the reviews on this page WRONG

The room decor was dated but I only wanted to rest in the room not paint it.

The food was well worth it, we were B & B but had 2 evening meals at the hotel and at a reasonable price, (and no probs with the guts after)

The hotel itself was well situated to shops and restaurants alike.

The hotel staff, reception, bar staff, waiters/ess and maid were fantastic, the maids cleaned the rooms daily (even the weekend)

The entertainment was a bit same-ish but ok if you had a family with you.

We stayed in the hotel on B&B basis. The room decor was a bit dated however it was visited every day by the maids (who were very friendly and polite) the room was cleaned and tidied. TV in room had Sky news and BBC1.

Bathroom clean, shower a bit iffy though as hot water is very very hot and the cold water came in surges so I had to move in and out of the shower to avoid frost bite or scalds!! ....best to give the kids a bath!

We only ate breakfast at the hotel, the food was ok plenty to choose from - cooked/cereal/fruit/breads etc etc. (just as a note of interest the appartments close to the hotel have all been refurbished and look really nice).

Entertainment at hotel great for kids and adults alike.....aqua aerobics/volleyball/water polo/quiz/toddler disco etc. Pool cleaned every morning. Shaded swings and slide area for when it gets really hot.

I would recommend this hotel for families as if your kid is noisy like ours nobody cares as their kids are being just as noisy!!!

Loads of lovely eating places nearby and brill location for bars etc only 5 mins walk to bar street.15 mins slow walk to paphos harbour.

We stayed in one of the reburbished superior apartments, for Mum & Dad's 25th wedding anniversary.

We stayed on a self-catering basis, however paid extra to have breakfast and evening meals on some days.
Food was ok but basically the same each time, it was edible though and no one was ill!
Mum & Dad were given a complimentary evening meal and wine to celebrate their anniversary and could take it any night during their stay - how good is that?!

The second week of our stay there were many more guests arriving and suddenly the two pool areas seemed to shrink and there were definitley not enough sun loungers to go round!

A very nice lady called to our apartment shortly after our arrival to check that all our needs were met. This lady is either very good at her job or she runs the show because no request was too great.

Couldn't fault the cleanliness and even the entertainment was enjoyable - we were on holiday after all!!

We stayed in the Begonia and Ibiscus. The apartments we were given were the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Filthy Filthy! Plaster falling off, stuffing hanging out of sofa's, mouldy toilet’s, loose tile’s, faulty lock's the list is endless. My advice is never go there, but if you have to make sure in advance that you are getting one of the renovated apartments and get it in writing.

Good luck you'll need it.

Ps Cyprus in pretty expensive, hire cars are very old, so check the brakes and car before you sign for it.

We stayed in the Superior Apts we had remote control a/c in all rooms, full size fridge freezer, dishwasher, cooker, stereo and TV.

Overall the apt was very clean and equipment was obviously quite new as we had to take stickers off pans and utensils to use them. We also had an iron and ironing board which I have never known in other apts before.

However other members of our party had the standard apts one wasn`t too bad but one was very poor with pillows missing, utensils missing and decor quite tatty.

We all had an infestation of ants but never saw any cockroaches. Food around the pool wasn`t up to much but on a couple of occasions we had a meal in the restaurant these were fine.

Entertainment was a bit on the cheesy side but being with a large party we made the most of it. I have seen worse entertainment in five star hotels. Most of the staff were helpful.

Paphos Gardens, more like Paphos Toilet.

3 hour delay at Gatwick going out put on 'STANDBY' tickets even though booked since 28th Jan this year. Transfer from airport OK.

Arrived 11.30pm, us and baggage put on golf cart and driven round to apartment Dahlia 109. Open door to apartment and nearly knocked over by the smell of cigarettes, shock set in as we surveyed the filthy, disgusting, cigarette burnt furniture, poo smeared toilet, rusty filthy bath and a kitchen that would have given you the black plague. Went back to reception and told them that the standard apartment we had booked was no better than a toilet and I wouldn't keep a dog in it (staff seemed surprised that we weren't happy). Now I know people all have different standards, but I don't believe the staff would have stayed in this hole anymore than we were willing to do. They then swapped us to another apartment not much better decor wise but a lot cleaner (not that that says a lot!!), apart from the mouse scurrying around the skirting board and the ingrained dirt on the sofa bed (which was broken).

Went back to reception and complained again. Were told we could 'upgrade' to a 'superior' apartment for an extra 108.00cyp, but it wouldn't be available until Tuesday lunchtime - this was on Sunday evening. Accepted the regular apartment for the two nights and paid for the upgrade. Didn't unpack for two days!!

During our two week stay we talked to four different groups who said they'd had the same treatment, some paid up - some didn't. The 'SUPERIOR' apartment was only what we had expected to start off with. Laminate floors, cooker, fridge, microwave, clean kitchen, bathroom etc very nice. Disappointed to have to cough up even more money when we'd already paid £650.00 per person!!!!!!

Flight Home
Our flight left on time and arrived on time, unfortunately we were not on it!!! We were delayed for 12 hours and given three different flight numbers (all of which appeared to be extra flights) before arriving in Gatwick on Monday morning at 4.00am over 23 hours later than expected!!!

Cyprus: lovely, expensive, a bit cracked around the edges...

Paphos Gardens Hotel and Apartments: wouldn't stay there again even if I'd had a frontal lobotomy. Take my advice and avoid the place like the plague. The only nice thing about it was the kitty cats, mind you if you're not a cat lover, probably not.

Oh, if you want a lovely hotel to stay in, we visited friends at the Louis Imperial... my god what a difference. When we added up what we'd paid out we might as well have stayed there.

We were worried about what we were letting ourselves in for after reading some reviews, but luck must have been on our side.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment & were allocated a 2 bedroom suite: Fully equipped fitted kitchen, full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, double oven & ceramic hob, iron & ironing board etc etc... laminate flooring, stereo, double sofa bed, remote controlled air con, couldn't fault it.

The food wasn't so great, especially if you have fussy eaters or children. It was the first holiday I've been on where I didn't put on weight! I would definitely have only booked self catering if I'd have known beforehand, you then have the option of eating there if you fancy it at a cheaper price than you pay here when booking.

The cleaners came most days, not Sundays, nor Public Holidays & on the whole were very good.

Hotel staff were as you find in most places, some good, some not so good...

The entertainment wasn't great for adults, my 4 year old went to the kids club & disco & enjoyed it & the older ones enjoyed the nightly entertainment alot more than we did.

The location is great as a base, 5 minutes walk from the beach and the same from the start of the main street. Couldn't stay in every night, but who wants to stay in one place on holiday anyway?

Highly recommend the Asiana just down the road & The Rib Shack - (as recommended on this site) first class.

I would recommend this complex if you could guarantee a refurbished apartment & went self catering, but personally wouldn't return for a main holiday, perhaps just for a week.

Arrived early morning given key and pointed to the direction of the Dhalia apartments. Greeted with cockroaches & army of ants.

2 bedroomed apartment very basic/shabby/engrained dirt and previous occupiers hair in plug holes. This had cost £600 each + £45 for A/C.

Pool area good, plenty sunbeds, bar snacks good Hotel staff lovely. Reception not so helpful.

Rooms do not get cleaned Sat/Sun had to dispose of toilet paper bin ourselves 2 days a bit unhygenic eh!! Two breakins while we where there.

Hotel in good location although there's a road running at back of hotel which will be open March 2005.

Will not be returning to Paphos Gardens. This was my 4th visit to Paphos this year it was a last minute booking (no cheaper) I was with my two 18yr twins so location was very important.

Our superior room was very dated with two old camp beds in the sitting room for the kids. Kitchen facilities were very basic to say the least. Other rooms around us had been updated and looked very nice and we only found upon leaving you could get two bathroomed apartments which would have been nice!

We didnt eat much at the hotel but what we did have was good.

We found the location spot on, a number of lovely restaurants really close by and bars leading all the way to the harbour about 10/15 mins walk away.

The staff werent much help whenever we needed them, we went the whole holiday with no tv remote so could only watch sky news for two weeks!

We would stay at the hotel again for the location but insist we had a renovated room.

Our first concern on arriving was securing a safety deposit box after reading on this website about the amount of burglaries going on. And it’s sad to report that thieving in the apartment complex is obviously still a problem as no sooner had we set foot in the hotel lobby than two separate residents were up at the desk complaining how their apartments had been robbed.

We secured our safety deposit box soon after this introduction to life at Paphos Gardens but during our stay we also heard of another three instances of apartments been robbed and this is obviously something to bear in mind when booking a holiday here.

Following on from this our first night actually turned into something of a baptism of fire as the apartment was not particularly clean on arrival, several cockroaches decided to pay us a visit and we had an ant infestation too. We also discovered the sleeping arrangements for our 13-year-old boy consisted of a broken sofa and a camp bed that looked like it had first seen active service in the Somme.

We obviously complained about these and the bed was eventually sorted out but the insects continued to pay us repeat visits and only diligent spraying kept them anywhere near at bay. While we appreciate cockroaches and ants do feature in hotter climates we didn’t expect them to be permanent features in an apartment that we’d paid a decent amount of money for. The mould in the bathroom was also something we weren’t expecting.

We heard there were nicer apartments elsewhere but by the time they offered us one we had two days of a 14-day holiday left and basically couldn’t be bothered to move.

The complex itself does have a nice pool near the hotel and a few of the staff were efficient when we aired our grievances. Sadly a few of them were also useless and the cleaners were hardly the most industrious workers we’d ever seen if the state of our apartments was anything to go by after they’d been.

Basically the place is quite shoddy and we won’t be booking there again. In fact we’re looking at self-catering in Treblinka next year and we envisage this may well be a step up in class.

Arrived wed. evening booked in and was taken to our apartment in Jasmine block. Considering we booked this holiday one year ago & requested high floor and pool view we got ground floor backing onto field. The room was dirty, tiles cracked in bathroom, bath plughole blocked with other peoples hair water would not go down infact more hair kept coming up each time had shower standing in 3" water constantly when showering, bath looked as if it had never been cleaned before tide mark was magnificent.

After going out on 1st evening we returned to cockroach infested pit, on complaining to reception we were given bug spray and told to do it ourselves. Next day complained to Air Tours Rep. who said no rooms available as was busy time of year. After talking to other guests and viewing their nicer rooms who had booked later than ourselves, we believe we had been put in an overspill apartment as next door looked as if it had not been lived in for ages. We eventually moved three days later as the cockroach infestation got worse, we were told they would fumigate the place for us, but as two of our party had asthma this was not an option.

Once moved the new apartment was much better and so our holiday could start. The complex was nice, pools clean, location great, maid service in new apartment good. Recommend Paphos and Cyprus definately would return, just not to these apartments. Beware Jasmine 107!

Choose our newly refurbished studio apartment last year. Although, due to the popularity of direct booking we were asked to change rooms and were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment poolside at no extra cost (didn't refuse!!!)
Room was fantastic, laminate flooring, all mod cons, sofa, TV, stero and a huge bed (width 6').
Cleaners second to none, clean towels every other day and sheets every 3 days. They was always leaving fresh flowers as well.
Both pools were constantly checked and cleaned.
We found the hotel drink prices reasonable(taking into account happy half hour by the pool during the afternoon and happy hour early evening), certainly compared to other hotels we have stayed at.
Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble, they went out of there way to help in any way they could. Entertainment was great day and evening, organised by great people it brought us back from town early on many occasions and in our 3 weeks there it did not seem repetative.
The direct booking staff (Liz and her crew) were brilliant, sorted transfer taxi's, shopped and put food in the fridge prior to arrival. Plus leaving complementary wine and fruit.
Booked for next year on our third day there.

We had an absolutely brilliant time at Paphos Gardens resort. We stayed in the hotel and were half board. Each night had a different theme including....BBQ, Carvery,a traditional cyprus night, mediterranean , international and i think that was it. It was lovely...each night there was something there for everyone...even if you are a fussy eater...there is something there that you will like.

The hotel and appartnments are in a really good location....it takes about 3 minutes to get to the start of the shops although they do spread right along to the harbour and at the time we went it was too hot to walk all the way in the day really. But there is a bus every 10 minutes which takes u anywhere and its on 50 cents wherever it takes you so thats not a problem. I think they run till about midnight aswell maybe
later.

There is also a mini market on site which is really good as the food around the pool area can seem quite expensive if you are there for two weeks. It alot cheaper in the shop

The staff at the hotel were all brilliant, really friendly and made you feel totally at home.
The entertainment staff are amazing....there was 2 new girls there which arrived after us..Claire and Leanne and they are really good...there was also Katy and Jess and 2 Amys and they were all really friendly and came round chatting to you at your table on an evening and just made you feel really relaxed. We didnt want to come home. The "mini disco" was brilliant for adults too! The man who does Karaoke was brilliant and basically all the entertainment was really good.

The maids came in and did the rooms every day giving you fresh towels every 2 days i think and doing ur beds and emptying bins and everything everyday. Its nice to go back to a lovely clean room!

I would definitly go back again...we tend not to go to the same palces again just for a change but im really tempted to re-book! Well persuade my family too anyway!

Cleanliness and facilities were first class. Apartment was cleaned every day by very friendly and courtious cleaners.
Apartment was well equipped with kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, cooker, TV, hairdryer, and remote control operated air conditioning in the main room and bedroom.
Hotel/Apartments were well located in relation to eateries and shopping. There is a well stocked mini market in the centre of the complex which is reasonably priced and only a few cents dearer that the main supermarkets, E.G. a pack of 8 cans of coke were £2.40 CYP in the mini market and £2.32 CYP in Woolworths. On a similar subject, the bar within the hotel is a little pricey, particularly for the likes of Smirnoff Ice etc.
Pool was large, clean and there were plenty of sunbeds available for everyone. Daily waterpolo and volleyball games were arranged by staff. Waiters constantly patrolled the poolside delivering drinks and quickly removing empties. There is an indoor pool, which is freezing cold but welcome in the 105 degree mid-day heat, and a well equipped gym.
There are two internet terminals available at 50 cents for ten minutes, An internet cafe located on "Bar Street" (about 10 mins walk away) offers 30 mins for £1CYP, but not worth the walk in the heat for the sake of 50 cents.
The ONLY downside was, that on the first full day of our holiday, we were informed by other guests that there had been three break-ins the previous night. However, all affected apartments were "rear facing" while ours looked onto the main street. On asking about a safe deposit box, I was told that they were all in use,it was only after 3 days that I managed to obtain one and have some peace of mind. There are no safe facilities in the apartments, so on arrival try and secure a safe deposit box immediately.

Otherwise, this is a first class complex and I would have no doubts about returning.

Michael's restaurant is located about 100 yds from the apartments and receives 12 out of 10 for food, service and friendliness, A DEFINITE MUST!!!!

we stayed in a 1 bedroom appartment and as the one not in a couple i had to sleep on the bed setee which was really uncomfortable. it wasnt ideal for an adult! the room was always clean and the cleaners made our beds most days.they never left enough loo roll though!the only thing i didnt like about the room was that it didnt have a microwave.the hotel food was ok cant say much about it as we didnt really sample the evenin cuisine.the hotel was siuated away from the main street which was perfect but only a quick walk an u were in the middle of everything.the hotel staff were brilliant always waiting to help you out if needed especially when you needed drinks which in our case was all day!! the entertainment was good especially the evening quiz which was done by a guy named matthew.he really had the crowd going every night!i think he was the entertainments manager.i am in the prosess of booking my next years holiday and am deffinately returning to paphos gardens!!!

Perfect location, it is walking ditance to shops and bar, but is far enough away not to be dicrupted by the noise.
I will be returning to paphos gardens next year.
we stayed in a superior studio apt, this was very modern with a large fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, airconditioning and tv.
We found the apt excellent.
cleaners came daily.
staff polite and helpful.
local bars very good.
We would recommend Michaels restaurant, very friendly cypriot family and food AMAZING! (say hi to george and nico).

we arrived at the complex very late at night, the hotel staff were very friendly and we were taken to our room which was superior studio appartment.
7 am we were woken up by building work behind our appartments so we requested a different room and were offered a slightly smaller room by the hotel complex, it wasn't as nice nice but we agreed to move.
As the week went on a lot of people were complaining to the rep about noise so i was glad we moved rooms.
The hotel itself has two outdoor pools both very well kept and a indoor pool also.
We found all the staff very polite and helpfull.
Paphos gardens is in a very good location 5 mins from the beach, lots of nice restaurants nearby "MICHAELS" was our favourite.
It is a shame about the building work as paphos gardens is a lovely resort, my advice request a quiet room.

When we arrived at the complex on a sunday evening approx 11.30 we were met in the reception and were told somone would come and take us to our room. 10 mins later the guy at reception said his colleague was busy and he would take us himself. He then proceede to bundle our suitcases into the back of a open back pick up truck full of building materials asked us to get in and promptly drove us in the datk to our apartment. When we got out we were at what looked like a building site and we went to our room wandering what we had let ourselves in for.
The next morning we wer woken at 7am to the sound od Delivery trucks, earth moving machinery and road rollers driving up and down the road.
We were staying in the Mimosa block.
That morning we al viewd the hotel and were pleased with its facilities and the location.
We complained to the rep who arranged for us to view a different room closer to the hotel but it was a standard room and the level of accommodation was disgusting, our room was a superior type, but that is overstating the description. It was newly decorasted and furnished.
The hotel food was pretty basic especially the breakfast, although snacks at pool were ok.
Pool is clean and very lively with good entertainment on offer.
Would definitely return to Pahos and Pahos Gardens but hopefully the roadworks and building works to new aprtment blocks would be complete.
Cleaner never cleaned the rooms to our satisfaction never leaving enough towels and the patio area was permanently covered in building dust and not cleaned once during our 14 days

perfect location, perfect facilities, great time had by the both of us. Would recommend hotel and apartments.
The only downside to our holiday was a break-in to our apartment on the last night of our stay, Although the staff were helpful, and the police came quickly, we became just another statistic.
TAKE CARE IF YOU ARE STAYING ON THE GROUND FLOOR APARTMENTS ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TERRACE IS SECLUDED.
THE CLEANERS HAVE A HABIT OF LEAVING THE WINDOWS UNLOCKED! BUT CLOSED!this is how they got in apparently. the windows looked locked but they werent!
PS Micheals tavern has great food at a good price and is sooo close.

We stayed at Paphos Gardens in Jan.'93 for four weeks had a lovely holiday. We were there in Nov.'03 for 5 weeks & had a pleasant time in a refurbished 2 bed apt. We returned in Jan.04 to a refurbished 2 bed. GROUND FLOOR apt. On our 1st sunday evening whilst we were in the Hotel our apt was broken into we would say by the door as there was no apparent signs of a forced entry we had cash & a camera taken. Police were called but would not give us a report so therefore we were unable to claim on insurance. We were just one of many losing money, cameras,CD's, clothes & a lap top.Duringreour stay the apt. was entered at least 3 times with drawers etc. disturbed. The apts are quite noisy with lots of workmen doing building & refurbishments in the other apts.

We have just returned from 1 week in a 1 bedroom apt. The weather was the best part of our holiday.

The reception staff were not particularly helpful on arrival( we had pre booked a deposit box---after reading previous reviews).

The apartment was clean, with adequate furnishings. We over looked fields, we were on the 2nd floor. The apartments was quiet, and the air con worked well.

The bar staff were ok, no sun beds available after 0900am or you had to wait until 4.00pm.

We found the maids to be rude and impatient, unwilling to wait for 2mins whilst we collected our bags, ready to leave the apartment, they told us we had missed our chance to have the room cleaned!

The last night we returned to fing our windows wide open..........and bags gone thro..

Local resturants. yes Michaels is good.Amis good. The lady GERRY on the door at the Chinese, just a little along same street, very helpful, and good buffet night..
good luck if your heading to the paphos gardens......basically, clean hotel, unhelpful staff, small beach short distance away with SEAWEED..short 20min to airport.

Paphos Gardens is a well equipped hotel and apt resort. I have lived there for 1 year in the Ibiscus apt block. The staff are very friendly although some came be quite rude at times. The location of the resort is perfect and as the mesage above says, the friendship bar is a must, unfortunatley the Sapore d'Itlaia has closed down due to a death but just opposite the is a lovley Korean Restaurant called Asiana - You have to try it, you won't find a better cuisine on the Island!!!!

Paphos Gardens is also idealy situated for all age groups, its walking distance for the shops bars and clubs and also for the Historic features. But it far enough away not to be disrupted by any noise!!!

If you are visiting Cyprus pop into the Felix bar in Bar Street and say Hi to Athos and Nick for me - Katie and why not try a pint of Guinness opposite Felix in Flanagan's Irish Pub Once again say hi to Jimmy for me!!XX Have great fun!! Its worth every penny!!!
