| said: We stayed at the siesta 1 got back 3 days ago, was a nice hotel for a 2 star, food was good, reception staff friendly and helpful, bar and catering staff were ignorant not smiley at all. Location was good lots of shops and not to far from the beach, night enterainment was good and kids club all the staff there were lovely includung rep's. Only one thing we found 10 cockroaches (sorry if iv spelt that wrong) in the bathroom running back under the toilet and wash base when we turned the light on, which changed our minds about the whole holiday and how clean was this hotel, only one other person had them in there room that we know of! there was a cat that tried to get into our room all the time not sure if it was the hotel cat but that wasnt really the point as our room was infested!!
Will not be visiting the siesta again but maybes alcudia it was a nice place.

| said: We hadn't been abroad for 12 years as a couple & the kids had never been so this was to be something special for us all!
The hotel was great for us with an eight year old girl & a 10 year old boy who absoloutely loved it!
The pool is brilliant but as mentioned is dangerous in the middle which doesn't state the depth which we found alarming & I actually had to rescue our son once as he tired in the middle of the pool so be aware! Lilo's aren't allowed but rings are & a good tip is to wait to be offered one from a leaving family. We left a good few for others.
We often saw people (brits) going down & staking a claim to sunbeds even though there was plenty for everyone & we found this rather embarrassing, rude, greedy & shameful as there's plenty of room around the pool for everyone. I do suspect it differs in higher season though.
The maids were always around at 9am but we always left the door hanger on "do not disturb" as we needed a lie in most mornings. Sheets were only changed once a week for us but that may have been us to blame?
The balconies are not for kids at all as we all know & we kept ours well away with stern warnings as the rails are bolted on by 4 small bolts in a 4" wall. We were very nervous & only on the 4th floor! Something to watch is the patio door handle when opening it as its easy to jam fingers!
There's free air con in every room & ours worked too well with the kids moaning it was too cold at times. Do keep the door shut to make it work though or you'll break it.
We'd read somewhere on the net that the Red Lion staff were rude & arrogant prior to going but since I learned their language I found that all these reports were from ignorant brits who expect everyone to speak our language! The staff cannot be faulted & were lovely at all times despite many of them coming from Spain to work with very little English skills & work 10 hours a day but still smiled as they served. 10/10
Chamions, La Harra, Lunes (take away) & the kebab take away on the right near the beach are the cheapest for self caterers. Bunnies next to Linekers bar does great grub but is a bit dearer due to location.
There's 3 lifts that hold 6 people each but nobody ever mixes & wait for their own.
Laundry is 3 euros per wash to the right of the lifts, there's a secure luggage room for the last day.
The hotel entertainment was the one thing that ensured our holiday was one we'll never forget!
Aaron, Carla & Emma (Sammy has left) gave both our kids & us the best time we could ever imagine & we'll never forget them.
Due to the shocking prices around the resort we found the hotel to be the cheapest option for having a drink & entertaining the kids. Scrumpy Jack on tap @ 3.10e a pint & San Miguel is the cheapest option for lager drinkers.
Aaron, Carla & Emma work really hard to entertain both kids & adults & in our opinion could go on to create their own entertainment group. They trully are "super heroes"
Thanks for a lovely time guys & sorry Amy was a "clingon on your starboard bow" ;)
We've always said we'd never go to the same place twice but would definitely return here. The only difference would be all inclusive if the price is right.

| said: The Siesta 1 apartments i found very satisfying. The pool is one of the largest i've ever had while i've been abroad. The water playground area is great for small children which comes on every hour for 10 minutes. The entertainment is very enjoyable and the kids clubs are great to keep small children entertained. The red lion bar serves great food and has a good atmosphere at night, although some people may find the noise disturbing if there room was located above it, luckily i was no where near the bar and the noise never affected me. The sheets and towels were changed on a daily basis, the cleanliness of the room was excellent. I've been to the siestas three times and am returning again this year. It is a brilliant holiday destination.

| said: Can't really fault this hotel in anyway. We arrived at 9.45pm and were greeted warmly and dealt with very efficiently, within 10 minutes of arriving we were in our room.
The room was considerably better than expected, we'd booked it at the last minute and it was one of the lower budget options. The kitchenette was well equipped and the beds were comfortable enough. There was also enough room for people not to be falling over each other.
There was a fridge/freezer which meant we could bottle our own water and keep it chilled rather than spend money on umpteen bottles from the local shop. The air conditioning was excellent had no problems with it whatsoever. Television reception was patchy but sufficiently good to watch BBC coverage of the Olympics.
For those with a 'green' streak, there were lots of energy saving things around the hotel, all the corridor lights on every floor were on timers with switches every few metres, all the rooms had energy saving bulbs and it was the only hotel I could see with solar panels on the roof.
Maid service and room cleaning was frequent and discreet, no army of cleaners to fight through on a morning !
The food at breakfast was a choice of full English or continental and was self serve, so you could get a good meal in the morning that kept you going well into the afternoon.
Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant but the menu seemed varied in style though a little limited in choice. We mainly ate at the Red Lion pub which is adjoined to the hotel. Plenty of english style choice there (good for kids), though you have to ask for an alternative to chips with every meal (jackets on request) and a better range of vegetables than just salad would be an improvement. If you wanted other choices then there was an abundance of eateries with 5-10 minutes walk.
The swimming pool is a good size with at least one pool attendant on duty though they occasionally disappear to deal with the tennis court. The pool is cleaned every morning and opens at 9am.
The best laugh is the 'Brits we'll stand in queues' mentality by the lifts !! Don't even bother, just walk down to the entrances next to the restaurant or Red lion at 9am and grab your loungers there. There are usually enough for everybody though some people are just so selfish that they grab one for every family member, including the toddlers !
If you've got teenagers who must have internet access then there are three terminals with webcams fitted and they're 5 euros an hour.
Overall this hotel is much better than it's 2 star rating.

| said: stayed in studio, which was actually big enough for all of us, 2 adults, kids aged 11,5 and 17 months. cleaned 5 days a week, clean towels and sheets practically every time! pool very clean, but not enough sunbeds to go around, be ready at 9 am with your towels if you want one beside the pool!! otherwise lots of grassy areas to relax on!
we went half board and therefore ate in al la carte restuarant just beside red lion. breakfasts dead on - buffet of usual stuff- bacon really tasty! waiter julio brilliant with kids. evening meals a bit dodgy at times, but depends how fussy you are! we ate out half the time, but kids could have whatever they wanted of the red lion menu which was great.
kids club seemed good but ours only went to disco at night because of age differences reps good with kids, but a bit bossy. avoid reptile show- basically 3 small reptiles and a draft excluder coming out through a hole in a blanket!! don't miss hypnotist show - this guy is brill!! we all laughed our heads off.
plenty to do around hotel - tennis, table tennis, pool tables, air hockey, football pitch, swings, slide, splash pool etc. in big pool every day where 5 year old learned to swim confidently!!
well positioned at top of strip where on 15 minute walk passed all the restuarants to the lovely beach, with warm water.crazy golf, horse riding, go carting all beside siesta 1. we loved nevada bar, good food, friendly waiters and cheap! huge chicken salad for 5 euro, fab pizzas, pint of san miguel 2 euro! kids tv on too!!
at night we loved lunas grill- play park out back for kids and amazing tribute bands every night- really good steak.
will definately go back, especilly to see julio x

| said: The Siesta has a huge mountain behind it and this can be seen from the swimming pool which is also of ample size, the whole pool area is a sun trap for nearly all of the day.
There are palm trees and an island in the middle of the pool which is cleaned each morning.
We couldn`t find any complaints with the hotel it was nice and clean, the staff were very pleasant and couldn`t do enough.
Our kids are quite picky but the food variety kept them happy and Julio one of the waiters was brilliant with the banter, our lot looked forward to him and Liz being on duty.
The Red lion is the pub within the hotel, most staff are brilliant however a couple seem a bit snappy but it may be down to language differences. This pub was actually cheaper than most of the town bars.
The Thomas cook rep Chris and the superstars Sammi Carla Emma and Aairon had the kids for the full fortnight, they played games all day, danced and sang all night and we felt that the kids were in the hands of a very safe and capable team, the sound system let them down and this was a shame although it seemed a tad better on our last night.
Other entertainment at the hotel a really good Magician a Hypnotist with a very clean act, a reptile show and a parrot lady who suffered badly when the parrots went on strike to watch Euro 2008 ...all good fun.

| said: Siesta 1 apartments in Alcudia are mainly rented out to Thomas Cook, with several still privately owned.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom private owned apartment. The Siesta 1 is situated at the end of Alcudia backing on to the mountains and away from the main noise of the pubs and clubs.
It is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is cleaned every morning and the reception, main corridors and poolside are immaculate.
The Thomas Cook Entertainment team of Aairon, Sammi, Carla and Emma are absolutely amazing. They are all crazy and get both the kids and adults involved in the activities throughout the day including boules, table tennis, water polo, killer pool, penalty shoot-outs and football matches etc and put on a great show at night - I would go back just to see these guys again - they made my holiday :) and my sone was in tears not wanting to leave them as they got him to really come out of his shell.
I would recommend the apartments to anyone with children as there is plenty for them to do and the pool is ideal for all ages (just watch out for the centre of the pool between the island and the shallow end as it is over 6 ft deep, around the edges are shallower).
The Red Lion is a great pub situated below the hotel and has entertainment on every night with a kids disco, bingo and then main entertainment. The food is quite good and the prices of both food and drinks was reasonable.

On reading previous reviews I was aware thet there was a pub/resturant under the hotel called the Red Lion and so we decided on our first night to grab our dinner there. It was cheap however food not good at all would not recommend eating.
Hotel very clean and maid service great, location is the top of the strip and therefore no noice from the pubs or even the the Red Lion as that had great entertainment bingo and karoke and lots of the stuff to keep kids amused. Would recommend the pub for entertainment first class.
I would visit the Siesta again however would go elsewhere for food.

| said: just back from siesta 1 last week and would recommend this hotel to anyone. we stayed in a 2-bedroomed apartment over-looking the pool area. the apartment was quite big with the kitchen seperated from the lounge. in the kithen were toaster, fridge, microwave, kettle, hob, and all your usual dishes and cutlery. the bedrooms consisted of a double bed in one room and two single beds in the other, again quite spacious.
the maids came round every morning to change towels and clean up a bit but there's not much that they can do if you are still in.
the 'red lion' restaurant is just below the hotel and we ate there all the time, absolutely fantastic, the food was lovely, and the price was reasonable, for a full english breakfast it was 3.80 euros, which is really good, go elsewhere and you'll pay more. the bar staff were great as well, especially with the kids, they go round giving them all lolly-pops.
the thomas cook entertainers, jenny, jodi, amy + david were fantastic with the kids, and really worked hard, god knows how they did it, they deserve a medal for what they do.
the hotel is situated about 10 mins walk from the beach, and 2 mins from the main street, where there plenty of shops and bars, a 15 min walk will take you to the water park which is fantastic, but take your own food with you as it is very very expensive, we got 5 burgers + 5 drinks, and it cost us 32 euros, so be warned!!
i hope this has helped anyone who is thinking of going here as it is a great hotel, with friendly staff, who work very hard, actually, it was that good i have booked up again for 2 weeks next year.

Some people seemed to think it acceptable to charge up and down the corridors screaming at one another all through the night, There appeared to be no night security persons and on one occasion the local police were called to our floor at around 3.30am to screaming guests.
We would sooner have no holiday than return here.

They were very clean on arrival, and the maids came every day except for a day off. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, and very helpful throughout the entire 2 weeks.
The entertainers were great with the kids, and adults alike. The Red Lion bar/restaurant was great for meals very reasonably priced and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Alex, and the bar staff were great and we had great laugh with Frankie and Phil.
I would recomend this apartment complex to anyone especially familys as it is very safe and secure for the kids going about, and with a full-time lifegaurd on duty as well.
Plenty of daytime activities for kids and adults.

The pool and bar area were lovely and clean and the bar staff were very friendly, particularly Frankie!! The Thomas Cook entertainment team were fantastic, especially Jenny who had the best singing voice I've ever heard and who, on many occasions, reduced me to tears. The highlight of every evening was the Big Cash Prize bingo and Lucky Envelopes. I only wish I'd been able to catch the Head Jam event.
I recommend visiting Goodfellas to laugh at Stuart, The Peach Pit to drink Turbo shandies and Cheers to dance the night away. Avoid Bells at all costs!
Overall, a good time was had by all, even though Alcudia has a definite smell lingering long after the party goers have gone to bed...

| said: Just back from the Siesta 1 appartments. The appartments were well equipt however we stayed in a studio and found it a bit on the small side, very little storage space for clothes, had to put the small table out on the balcony as there was no room for it in the appartment. The appartment had been given a quick clean over before we arrived but the balcony was filthy and was never touched while we stayed there also chair broke. The pool area is lovely although the pool got very dirty at the end of each day. The complex is above the Red Lion pub which stayed open until 12.30 am this resulted in noise until 1 or 2 am in the morning with bottles smashed and teenagers and small kids running riot outside the appartments. Some guest thought it was acceptable to return to their rooms in the early hours of the morning and shout to each other from one end of the corridor to the other. The moise at night was bad and for this reason I would not return to this complex.

The Thomas Cook reps were fantastic and worked very hard.
The complex is just a short stroll from the newer end of the town but about 20 Min's to the old part which has much more and everything there is located around the harbour.
This complex is mainly for families with children and there were lots of them which can make it very noisey, for this reason only I would not go back to this complex.
Staff were fantastic.
One moan 11 days and sheets changed once.

| said: I feel the hotel is much more than it's 2 star rating. I would give it at least a 3. Everything was so clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a studio and the room was very large and clean. There was even air conditionng, ceiling fan and television. The kitchen consisted of a 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and fridge. You were even supplied with washing up liquid and scourers. The bathroom was very modern, and again large, with a shower over a bath. Rooms were cleaned 5 times a week.
The hotel has two of its own restaurants; The Red Lion, which has a set menu for 8 Euros starter main course and dessert and El Amarre which was a Buffet service for 10 Euros. We ate in the Red Lion one night and you certainly get what you pay for. The meal was ok, nothing special. But we would eat at the buffet restaurant every morning as it was only 5 euros for breakfast; a spread of Continenal and Full English.
There was entertainment every night at the Red Lion Pub but it was not my kind of thing; kiddies discos and bingo. We didn't stick around to see much else as it there was much more choice on the strip.
The pool at the hotel was very large and it even had a kids section. There was also a tennis court, pool table and darts too. The areas were always very clean and tidy.
The location of the hotel was fine. Right at the top of the Bellevue strip so no noise, but it was a 2km walk to the Harbour area, which is very nice. Although you can get a bus around Alcudia/Puerto Pollensa for 1.10 Euros each way. It was a 15 minute walk to the beach from the hotel, which wasn't too bad. But the hotel put on a courtesty bus at various times of the day if needed.
Overall the hotel was a great base and exceeded my expectations but I would recommend going out in the evenings as the food and entertinment was poor.

Room had 2 ring cooker,microwave,iron(10 euro deposit refundable on return to reception)and board, hairdryer in bathroom, kettle and air conditioning which was free.
There is a large pool which was reasonably clean.
People queued at 8am for sunbeds when pool didn't open until 9 which was very sad and pathetic and towels were left on beds all day which was annoying.
Food was ok in Red Lion which is part of the complex, although Sunday roast dinners were not the best I've had.
Location of Siesta 1....gave this a 3 because on the one hand it is end of strip and so no noise at night when you need your sleep, but a good walk to the beach which takes a good half hour(timed it ).
Staff in reception were helpful and friendly whereas bar staff not so.
Entertainment so-so,reps tried god bless them but we only listened in twice and that was enough.
All in all Siesta 1 apartments just an ok from me and wouldn't rush back.

The hotel is situated at the top of main strip which was good because you never miss a bar or shop (and there were plenty of shops selling the same things)
The entertaintment wasn't as good as we'd have hoped for but the kids club was good for my son even though he only went a couple of times during the day, the kids reps also put clubs for a couple of hours every other night or so (at a price) which he enjoyed. The adult enterainment, what we seen of it was rubbish though.

Found the staff ok but not over friendly the Thomas cook staff were quite friendly which made up for it.
Not much entertainment around the pool side, for the kids and found the pool a little dirty.

| said: Siesta1 Apartments were very nice and clean, We had a studio and although I was a little worried at first because there was four of us it was plenty big enough!
Had everything we neede in there!!! including air con (very useful)
The Breakfasts at The Red Lion were very nice but we weren't so keen on the evening meals and we did have to wait a long time!
The Siesta 1 has a Lovely big pool that opens at 9.00am dailey but beware people start queuing at 8.00am!!!!! then when the gate opens at 9.00am it's run for your lives to get your towel on a sunbed!!!! we only did that twice I think it's rather sad that you have to queue an hour to get a sun bed beside the pool!!!! that spoiled it a bit! theres a card in your room telling you that you mustn't reserve beds with your towels but believe me they do!!! sad!!
Entertainment at The Red Lion pub every night was Great, the Thomas Cooks Reps do a disco with kids, games with kids, quizzes, Bingo and they even sing and they are very good at it too!! (Gareth, Gemma, Keely and Leigh you were fantastic!! Thanks)
Plus other nights there was animal shows for the kids and a fantastic magician show!!
The Siesta 1 is in a good location too, theres quite a few shops & bars & restaurants near by (most restaurants it's a 3 course meal for 8 euros!) and it's only 10-15 mins walk to the beach (really not a long walk to beach at all) but if you don't want to walk to the beach the hotel provides a mini bus to take you to and from the beach each day!!!
Theres a Horse Ridding school over the Road from Siesta 1 so we took the kids and they had a Great time and it's not too pricey either, they take your photo for you to buy at the end too!
We went to the Western Water Park (through the reps) and had a Great day out there too!!
Overall we had a good holiday!

Food in Red Lion very good. 3 course meal excellent, starter and main course, eat here. Location of hotel good although it took us half hour walk to beach (loads of shops on the way. Staff were helpful but we couldn't book a room on last day reception said we could not rest in the lounge/library before departure that meant 12 hours till pick up with one 5years old, but next day other receptionist said we could (I had asked the other one during an argument between herself and other staff, they were quite animated in spanish).
Entertainment excellent English girl Lorri is lovely lass. Would recommend this hotel especially the lovely pool.

The reps did a fantastic jon and got to know us as a family by our names, and the kids reps were out of this world. Craif, I I could have taken him home with me my daughter is disabled and he was fab with her.
All in all, the best holiday we have had.

| said: This was our first holiday with our 9 month old son so I was worried about what facilities the hotel would have but it was fantastic. We managed to get a 2 bedroom apartment for just the 3 of us which meant my son could get his own room. The kitchen had a microwave (great for sterilising babies bottles), cooker rings, toaster and fridge. The air conditioning in the rooms was very good and could be controlled by remote control. The bathroom included a hairdryer which was brilliant as I didn't have space to pack mine!
The whole apartment was clean, tidy and very large. The balcony had table and chairs and as far as I am aware the way the hotel is shaped, all the rooms overlook the pool so the views are great. Our front door (the other side) overlooks the mountains behind so really nice location. The hotel has 3 lifts and the corridors are clean and well kept-this was the standard everywhere. The towels and bins were changed daily I think and the bed linen regularly. The Tv even showed bbc1 so I didn't miss any Eastenders episodes!
The reception to the hotel is very large, marble and roman theme, very cool and inviting. The receptionists are helpful and even pin up a weather forecast so you can plan your days out. The pool was lovely, huge and lots of sunloungers. There is a separate baby section too.
The Red Lion bar does good cheap food and has several large screen TV's to watch the latest sport on.
We really liked this hotel and would stay here again.

The hotel is lovely and clean, the staff are friendly, the pool is big and had enough sunbeds for everyone throughout the day.
Laura and Linda the entertainer's are brilliant their both crazy! There really good with the kids and there is always something for the kids to do.
The Red Lion pub under the Siesta was really good and definitely would recommend to eat there, the food is lovely and your not waiting long for your meal and its cheap! Some nights we went to a restaurant called 'TIVOLI TERRANCE'the food here is spot on from steaks to pasta's its a bit dearer than the red lion but its worth it. We also went to The Piccadilly bar which is over the road from Siesta every night as this is open till 3am- kids disco, quiz then Karaoke till 3. Sara and Ben who do the Karaoke and entertaining are brilliant very friendly.
Overall
I would recommend this Hotel and would definitely go back again.

Location at the opposite end to the beach but good in a way that it is not amongst all the night life.
Pool opens at 9.00 am - beware you will need to be there queuing to put your towels onto beds if you want to use the pool throughout the day.
Entertainment in the Red Lion Pub - can't really comment as we never used this. Lots of other entertainment along the main avenue.
Would definately recommend Siesta 1 - TV including Cbeebies for the kids!

| said: We have just returned from the Siesta 1 apartments and on the whole very much enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a studio apartment which consisted of a bathroom, 2 twin beds which were separated from the lounge area by a wooden screen, wardrobe space, the settee became the bed by night with another 'roll out' bed beneath it. A T V with English channels - including Cbeebies for the kiddies, table and chairs & a kitchen that was behind fold away doors. The studio was air-conditioned which was great & also had a ceiling fan. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, kettle, two hobs & fridge. Washing up liquid & sponge were supplied which was a nice touch. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom, plenty of hot water - though the shower felt like you were being hit by stones!!!
We were on the 4th floor overlooking the pool which was nice & although the Red Lion bar was just underneath we were not bothered by any noise.
As we went self catering we ate out nightly - the food at the Red Lion bar is quite cheap - £8 Euro for a 3 course meal & the food is good. Its not all chips either you can have pasta, jacket potato or rice with your meal.
The location of the Siesta 1 was good as it's the 1st lot of apartments on the strip therefore noise is minimal but it's not far to walk to all the pubs & restaurants. The beach is approx 15 minutes walk (with 2 kids!)and is lovely.
The entertainment team worked hard throughout the day and the children loved the mini - disco especially Lenny the lion. There were different acts on nightly like a singer or the parrot show - also nightly cash bingo. The bar staff were also great with guests.
My only gripes about the Siesta 1 were:
Room - the studio we had was not the cleanest - there was some old soup splattered up the kitchen door and it was a bit dusty. The towels & sheets were changed regularly though.
Pool - although a lovely big pool it wasn't the cleanest either - if you put on some goggles you could see all sorts floating about in there! In fact for the last 2 days of the holiday 3 members of our family were ill with sickness & upsets stomaches which we think came from the pool.
Reception staff
Although mostly helpful, upon checking out on the last day having spent the morning cleaning up after 2 very ill kids then waiting an age for a lift with all the luggage, as it was just after 12 noon I handed in my key to be told in a stern tone that I "was late" !!!

We've just returned from our holiday in Majorca and we had a great time.
I'd been to Majorca before with my friends to magaluf when we were younger but haven't ever visited Alcudia.
THE HOTEL:
We found that the reception at Siesta 1 was lovely and clean and the staff were always very polite and friendly. There is a pub under the siesta 1 called the red lion which has good cocktails for 4 euros we played bingo nearly every night and won a total of 464 euros and 4 breakfast vouchers.
We stayed in a studio and I was quite worried about whether it would feel cramped, but it was a good size. As you enter the studio, there was a bathroom to the right and wardrobe space to the left. In the middle section you have twin beds on your right and the kitchen area on your left, which can be hidden behind two folding concertina doors. Next to the bed area there is a wooden screen which separates the beds from the sitting area, which had a sofa (which could be used as a bed, and another bed underneath which rolled out), a dining table with 4 chairs, TV on stand and shelving.
The kitchen area was very clean and had all the essentials. There was a two ring hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. Also, you are provided with washing up liquid, teatowel, cloth and scouring pad-type thing. I know this may sound trivial, but every holiday I've been on, we've ended up having to buy our own washing-up liquid, etc. which has always annoyed me when we've always stayed self catering and would have thought they would have been supplied.
Also, after reading some reviews, I got the impression that the apartment wouldn't be air conditioned and so we took a fan with us - don't worry, when we went, there was air conditioning, so I presume that the hotel has decided to put it in! It was great, like walking into a fridge after a day out in the sun! Although be careful if you leave it on during the night, I often woke up freezing, so keep the remote control by the bed!!
LOCATION OF HOTEL:
We found that the hotel was in an ideal position as all you did was walk out of reception and you were at one end of the main road. If you just follow the road, it leads to the beach and doesn't take more than about 15 minutes to reach the beach.
THE TRIPS:
We booked three trips when we were in Majorca - we went to inca market on a thurday with no frills excursions which was good got some good bargains.
Just be warned that most of the trips are based in Magaluf or Palma, so anything that you do, will require you to travel for just over an hour on the coach to get you there. We didn't mind too much, but if you've got kids, bear this in mind, especially on hot days and the air conditioning isn't always great on the coaches.
The Waterpark in el arenal - This was a brilliant day out! We booked through no frills excursions. You get picked up at 9am just over the road from siesta 1 and get to the park at 11am and you spend about 5 hours in the park .
we also went to the caves of drac which i didnt really like waste of money.
OVERALL:
Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday and we found the hotel very clean and were happy with our location.
The waterpark is a great day out and the kids will love it, there are plenty of things for the smaller children, as well as the slides for older ones.

Slight problem with ants in the bedroom but it was swiftly dealt with by reception. We had a first floor apartment with a fantastic pool view. The pool itself was excellent with plenty of sunbeds, parasols and mattresses provided (will cost you 1 euro for mattress hire) lifeguard on duty, will let you have floats etc in pool.
We ate every night in the Red Lion, situated under Siesta 1. Fantastic food at fantastic prices, would highly recommend the chicken breast in pepper sauce!
Entertainment every night, kids disco with lenny the lion, bingo and show usually about 10pm. The kids loved every minute of it!
Would highly recommend Siesta 1 to anyone.

The staff in Siesta 1 couldn't do enough to help you if you needed it, the entertainment staff for children and adults were spot on with a wide varity of games and activities for all the family to join in with.
We went self catering as our child is only 6 months old and we wasn't sure about what times he'd be eating, but that was no problem because our apartment was very well equipped with all mod con as you find in normal kitchen, eatting out isn't a problem as there are many places to eat with great food at excellant prices and the air con was a great help keeping him cool.
We only flew back yesterday and were all ready planning to go back to Majorca and we will be staying at Siesta 1.

We ate nearly every night between PJ'S and the Red Lion bar under the Siesta. Stayed in the Red Lion at night for the entertainment Ollie and Marlin were excellent with the children and adults can't wait to go back would recommend the Siesta to anyone who wanted to go to Alcudia

We were on the second floor and when we went onto our balcony we couldnt have asked for a better view overlooking a beautiful pool. I had read the report on the site and thought Alcudia would be something like Blackpool---this it was definately NOT. It is lovely the people there are lovely and the palce was spotless. We have previously been to Benidorm and found it was expensive and expected this to be the same here in Alcudia. Not! one euro for a pint of larger and 3 three course chinese mead for just under 6 euros. I will definately go back to alcudia and to the siesta apartments as they were spotless, very well equipped and after having a problem with the door lock someone came up to fix this within 5 minutes!.we were very impressed and cannot wait to go back to the Siesta apartments and alcudia next year...by the way hire a car or a jeep like we did. The locals are very slow and polite drivers and make it a pleasure to drive over there even though u r driving on the left and not the right. My tip is go to the Siesta apartments - u will not be dissappointed.

the pool was also fantastic extrememly clean and the lifeguard was always there to keep an eye on the kids and also the adults!!!
the entertainment was fantastic for kids as the entertainment for them was from 7.30 to 9.45 at night then there was crazy bingo then adult entertainment. the entertainment team where always well up for a laugh and where always including the audience in with everything. i would recommend this holiday to all ages as the area and hotel caters for everybody.

We have been to quite alot of places in Majorca and I can honestly say this is the best. Staff very helpful especially Margaret on reception, rooms, very clean and all you need for a self catering holiday, security at night, very good we have 2 children and were worried about noise but there wasnt any at all.
We were on the first floor and right underneath was the Red Lion Pub but we couldnt hear a thing. Children really enjoyed it and so did we. Red Lion really cheap and very nice meals at low cost we ate the most nights and days, although quite alot of good reseraunts right along the main part.

Location is excellent but very noisy in the evening and because the rooms are not air conditioned you pick up every noise from the late night revellers.
entertainment started too late for my children, for some reason the bingo started at 9.00 until about 10.00 and the entertaiment did not start until way after 10 therefore we didn't see much of it.

It was the second time we had been to Alcudia as we went in 2002 also.
My brother worked over there in a restaurant so we went over to see him.
Our apartment was very clean, we had no insects thankfully and the room was cleaned regularly.
The Siesta apartments are located near to all the entertainment. At night we would go down to the Red Lion for an hour and then go off out elsewhere. Jp's is a very good small family bar with fun quizzes on every night.
After Jp's we would usually go to Peach Pit, this is a very lively family bar which after 12 midnight turns into more of a nightclub. I remember Sundays being very busy at Peach pit as this is the Rep's night so dont miss a Sunday night out!! Cheers is also a really good family bar similar to Peach Pit with all night entertainment. Other good entertainment places are Linakers, Tropical mini golf (near the Siesta apps) and Jokers is a really good bar because my mum and dad liked the Guinness there.
I was only 14 when I went to alcudia for the second time and was at a funny age where entertainment doesnt always suit my age range but I have no complaints what so ever about my stay in Alcudia. I'm 15 now and want to go back next year with my mates!! Not too sure if I will be allowed though.
All of the staff in Alcudia are ace people and I have no complaints at all.
