| said: We booked our 2 bed apartment on the owners direct website as prices with tour operator were far too expensive. The apartment was lovely and spacious with a double balcony and was spotlessly clean. The pool area is great especially the new childrens section with waterslides and this was always manned with a lifeguard. There was never the 7am sunbed rush while we were there, a welcome change from some places! We ate in a couple of the restaurants on site and they were not too expensive.
Areas around the hotel and pool were always kept clean.

Great pool, great location - in fact faultless!

| said: We were allocated a duplex style apartment with two floors. Downstairs we had the kitchen which was fully equipped; a table and chairs, the TV and a couch which acted as a sofa bed. The tv was good with lots of English channels. On this floor we had a balcony which was in the shade with a table and chairs but our balcony upstairs was in the sun with some sun loungers so we had the best of both worlds. However there was no air conditioning or any fans so it got very hot particularly at night.
The bathroom was upstairs along with two single beds. This was the downfall because as I slept downstairs it meant I had to go upstairs to go the toilet during the night so I woke everybody up. Also as there is no door upstairs to separate the bedroom, it means you can hear every noise like snoring! We were also unfortunate enough to have a child in the room next door who ensured that we woke up every morning at 7:30am by screaming the place down!
Our apartment was situated in block Tenerife and we overlooked the bandstand. I think this was probably one of the best places to be as we didn't overlook the main road and we had a pool and sea view.
The pools are realy big and inflatables can now be used in one area although we used the area where they weren't allowed as this was quieter and the water was cleaner. The pools are salt water so we tried to not get it in our mouths as it tastes horrible!
A maid comes in to clean the apartment everyday and leaves new toilet roll each day. Towels were changed nearly everyday and the bedding was changed twice during the two weeks. However don't leave anything around while they are there because things go missing. We had some loose change on the sofa bed as it fell out of my dad's pocket and we were sitting on the balcony when the maid came in to clean. We saw her pick up the money in order to make the bed and we presumed she put it down on the side but when we went to check she had actually taken it without even saying thanks! Another day I also had a top go missing from amongst my clothes. We went to reception and told them but I don't think they were really that interested.
A few minutes walk away from the complex there is a big thetare that looks like a pyramid and there is a show on at the moment called Escencia de Amor which runs until the end of October. It's 36 euros for an adult and 18 euros for a child or you can pay extra to have food aswell. It's a musical and the first part is all dancing and the second part is a play. The night we went they put on a party at the end with free food and drink and we got to meet the cast and have pictures taken. It is absolutely fantastic and I recommend going!
I recommend Tenerife to everybody as there is something for everyone and I would definitely go back but not in August as it was so hot that you couldn't do anything without feeling worn out and I nearly passed out one day.
The shops in this area are fantastic. The safari centre is really good and the likes of Zara and Mango are so much cheaper than back home.
For places to eat I recommend The Rovers Return, The Hole in the Wall, The Surfers Barand The Chieftain. The Hole in the Wall is also good for entertainment each night and the staff are really friendly.
We tried Tony Roma's one night which is famous for ribs and located next to Mango. We thought it would be really nice - especially for the price but it didn't live up to our expectations so I don't recommend going at all.
We walked along the beachfront some days to Los Cristianos and also went to the market there but the aisles were so small so you can't look properly and have to be wary of pickpocketers. Also along this beachfront in particular you get pestered by timeshare but they tell you that it's discount tickets for the shops! We just ignored them all the time and walked past them.
At night, the Chinese women and the African men try and get you to buy light up toys, watches, bags and fake sunglasses or get you to have your hair braided but if you just say no then they walk past. However there is one guy called Bobby who spends most of his time in the Hole in the Wall and even though he sells watches and fake sunglasses and bags, he is so funny because he sings along to the singers' songs and dumps all his stuff on you and then walks off to talk to someone else! If you see him you won't stop laughing!!
On a Thursday there is a market in Toviscas which is a short taxi ride away. It sell basically the same things as the market in Los Cristianos but it's easier to walk around as the aisles are wider.
I recommend Tenerife to all ages as there is something for everybody and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

| said: We stayed in a 1 bed duplex style apartment. Our flight was a late night one with many families. On arrival at PS3 there was one (very nice) gentleman to book in a bus load - this was at 12.30am (ish). I was lucky enough to be second in line as I ran off the bus with my two children and left my husband to get the cases. It took him over an hour to get everyone checked in which I feel is unacceptable as there was a lot of tired children. We were put in the Tenerife block on the top floor. For me the pluses and negatives are as follows.
Pluses
Rooms are very clean.
We had duplex style with two balconies
Kitchenette fully equipped with hob, oven, fridge, toaster and coffee maker - plenty of dishes and pots.
Nice pool area.
New kids slide area now open and looks really good (my two children got to have a pre-opening go the day we were leaving)
Minuses
No air-conditioning. I found it very difficult to sleep in the heat even though I hired a fan (22 euro for 10 days).
Stairs! Never again will I book apartments without lifts. Its hard going lifting a buggy (complete with sleeping child) up numerous stairs!
Beach - ok so I knew the beaches were man made. But to get to a "usable" beach took around 10-15 mins. Out the back of the complex is a surfers beach, you'll see why when you see the size of the waves. Left of that is a small beach but very rocky. We took the children down to it the first day we arrived but it was very rough and rocky (they had a number of scrapes leaving). The beach further down was were we went to probably 5 days out of our holidays but the beds and umbrellas were pretty shabby.
Overall I could see why people like the complex but it just wasn't for me.

We stayed in two one bedroom apartments that were cleaned six days out of seven and towels changed five times.
Having stayed here many times, I am pleased to say the kids can now have inflatables in the pool, which they all thought was brilliant.
The work on the new kids water park that is going to be excellent is nearly finished, I would say at the end of aug it will be up and running, it did not intefere with our holiday at all.
The only problem with this hotel is that the Oasis bar still only has one bar staff to serve drinks and ice creams at the same time, it always means that you have to wait, and with the place full it could be a very long wait too.
All in all this was a excellent place to stay as usual and we would go back again.

| said: Parque Santiago III has a very good overall standard.
Cleanliness of the pool area is good, with regular checks done on the pool water quality as it is salt-water based.
The terraces are clean, and can get quite busy. One really good thing abouth this complex is the availability of sunbeds in the 'garden area', which is set back from the pool and is very, very relaxing. The complex is right next to the beach, and with a cafe bar at the rear you can sit and watch the kids in the pool and the surfers in the sea whilst sipping a cold drink!
Our romm was a duplex-style 1 bed apartment, so the kids slept upstairs. The small patio area on the kids level had 2 sunloungers on, which we were very impressed with, as we could retie to the apartment and continue sunbathing whilst the kids had a siesta. The only issue we had was that the floor of the apartment didn't appear to get swept, so we had to do it.
The location of the complex is spot on; out of the complex to the right is Los Cristianos, and to the left is Las Americas. No steep hills, nice steady walks, although the complex itself doesn't have any passenger lifts, so beware.
Food at 'The Meeting Point', which is underneath reception is good - I had a sirloin steak twice, and at 8 euros I think that's quite good. The presentation of the food is good as well - I often think that at many of the 'restaurants' along the front the food is piled onto your plate to make it look more, which doesn't impress me at all.
The staff are very friendly, and as usual they seem to go that little bit further if you try your Spanglish out on them!! Trust me, it works, on one visit to The Meeting Point we had our comlimentary 'shots' that you get at the end of the meal replaced with very large Drambuies and Brandy's!!
One thing to note is that at the moment the complex is upgrading the Childrens Play area, and if your apartment is overlooking these works it could be quite noisy as the workforce are using equipment such as cement mixers and concrete pumps.

If you have any problems recieving the channels just nip down to reception and they get some one to retune the TV. We had a long balcony with patio set and 2 sun loungers.
Our block was called la palma which is right next door to reception so we didn't have far to go with cases and we were only on 2nd floor so not having any lift was not really a problem.
Hired the safe which was 20 euros a week but you don't have to pay for the television like you do in lots of places. On last day paid 31 euros for a studio because we had a late pick up. this room was also a good size for 2 people.
The location is fantastic underneath the complex is lots of shops that sell usual holiday souvenirs but across the road is the safari shopping centre with some great designer and high street shops (zara, etam, nike, lacoste).
I recommend a couple of places to eat out little Italy situated on sea front and slow boat teppanyaki in safari centre.
We have been to Tenerife lots of times but always stay Adeje side of Las Americas, so glad we tried this end it is great.
I would recommend this complex to anybody it really is great for all ages.

| said: We had originally booked two 1 bedroom apartments in Parque Santiago 4 next door but on arrival they had difficulty locating us near each other, the reception immediately offered us the penthouse 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic but we didn't want to be 8 floors up with 2 kids that like to climb, without any fuss, the reception offered us a 3 bedroom seafront villa in Parque Santiago 3, we were amazed how helpful they were and were delighted with our accommodation.
On the ground floor we had a large separated kitchen, living room with dining table and sofas, Shower room and toilet, plus garden with access to the seafront promenade we also had a LCD TV with BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Sky sports 1&2, Sky News, plus the usual european channels.
On the first floor were two bedrooms (one twin with pool view and one double with balcony and magnificent sea view) plus bathroom with shower and toilet.
2nd floor had a single bed plus toilet.
This was more than we'd hoped for and we felt very lucky.
The location of Parque 3 & 4 is perfect, right on the seafront and everything you need is withing walking distance, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and the walk into los cristianos is short.
The maid service was excellent and the pool area is spotless, although get your towels down early. There are two main pools, one of which is heated and was OK, the other lagoon style pool was not heated so watch out.... icebergs....I kid you not...
The security patrol the area as well and ever so politely will check you are residents by asking to see your pool card or room key. on the second morning three lads tried to get a football in the pool but were quickly dealt with. They are quite strict on this but that's OK with me.
We never tried the food so can't comment on that.
We would definitely return here as the location and accommodation is top notch, Parque 4 is quieter than 3 but just as nice.

| said: We had a really good week in Parque Santiago 3.
It has a beautiful swimming pool it is really big but at this time of the year it is like having an ice bath rather than having a nice cool dip. There wasnt many people in the pool because of this. In addition to the coldness of the pool there was another problem not allowing children to use inflatables in the pool, how ridiculous is that? On one day there was one girl in the pool floating on a lilo she was the only person in the pool but got told about pool rules, she had to get out with the inflatable. My son is 8 years of age & was very bored were we were staying as there was very little for him to do. Most kids spend their days in the pool but because of what I have said it wasn't possible.
There were 4 pool tables at the bar area which kids could use, there was also a kids club but I didn't see this open at all whilst we were staying, not sure kids club was a summer thing.
The beach is literally a two minute walk from the apartments themselves, you walk out from the apartments & you are on the beach, & there is a nice path for you to walk & watch the surfers or people fishing.
Club Santiago 3 has a shopping mall underneath its apartments some it is a great market sells all stuff from shoes, trainers, football kits, jewellery, table clothes, electrical items the lot & its all reasonably priced too.
If your thinking of inviting friends to Club Santiago 3 to sit around the pool with you be careful as when you check in you are given cards that you need to show to the attendants each day to show you are actualy staying in the apartments, if you don't have a card you will be asked to leave. My advice here would be if you do ask friends give them you pass & you show you door key & tell the attendant you have left cards in the room, some people were doing that & it worked.
You are in a great location it's so picturesque whether you have a pool view or front shopping view so I am sure you wont be dissapointed there. There are lots of restaurants & bars as well, all beers & foods to eat out were reasonabley priced.
Cleaners come in every day & changed our towels twice in the week we were there, I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the apartments. They were clean, spacious & had a television in them that had Sky Sports 1 & 2 & BBC1.
Supermarket is a stones throw from were you are staying the supermaket is owned by Santiago. There is min golf there to which is next door to the supermarket. If you do play this with you kids just a bit of advice if you are playing 9 holes or 18 holes be sure not to pot the ball on the final hole if you want to play again as it doesnt give you the ball back so really your game of mini golf can be finished in 10-15 minutes. You know what kids are like they want to play again so just remember the shot before your final one don't pot it just start again, don't let the attendant see you like as you shouldn't be doing it but the attendant isn't looking out for this I just want to make you aware.
There were no lifts to the apartments so if you do have trouble walking upstairs I would recommend that you ask for a lower floor apartment.
Would I go back, most definately, it was a great apartment, bar food was nice, people on receptions a bit dopey but ok.
The location was great just wish they would consider allowing kids to use their inflatables in the pool as kids really really really were bored sttiff.
I am sure you will enjoy your holiday there really is little you could complain about.

On the first night we had thunderstorms and the roof of our bedroom began leaking. After contacting reception in the early morning they arranged to have
us moved. We got a large 2 bed apt which was much bigger than our 1 bed.
The apts are basic enough but the pool area is excellent. We had no issue with our 4 year old using an inflatable boat in the pool.
All in all an enjoyable holiday the location was terrific in a nice upmarket area of PLM.

| said: Stayed here loads of times and never have a bad word to say about it......except this last time. For some unknown reason, the pool attendants have decided (upon instructions from the manager) to ban all inflatables (except for small rubber rings and arm bands).
It is not as though the pool is small, it is massive, a bit like 3 lagoon size pools all rolled into one and even with loads of people in the pool there is still loads & loads of room.
You can imagine the, loads of kids in the pool playing happily with lilo's, balls, rubber rings when the pool attendants on mass tell everyone that they must get out of the pool and take all the inflatables back as the pool is meant only for swimming.
10 minutes after, the pool (from having about 30 kids playing happily) went to just 2 kids playing, it was just crazy. No matter how much you tried to reason with them, they would not listen. If anybody went anywhere near the pool with an inflatable, they were pounced upon and read the riot act and shown the pool rules at the side of the pool which states 'no inflatables'.
This spoilt my childrens holiday and there were loads of similar minded kids who were bored as they were just sat at the side of the pool. They were not even allowed to play bat & ball in the pool.
I have going to these apartments for the last 5 years but not any more unless they relax this stupid rule. These apartments are great but if you have young kids, I would say try somewhere else.

Having stayed here before with just me and my son we know what to expect. My Partner and her two kids had never been to Tenerife before they were amazed by this place they loved it.
The apartment was excellent two Bedrooms with Fans one double and one with two single beds.
The front Patio doors led to a massive patio garden in black and white tiles, with five sun beds and a patio table and chairs, the front gate led to the beach that was about ten foot away from the gate an excellent view.
There was a bed settee in the living room and two chairs and tv and coffee table and cd player. The Kitchen had a cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, washer and all the other things that you need. The bedrooms had plenty of wardrobe space with bedside cupboards ironing board and iron.
The safe was free with this rental
The complex is wonderul with a excellent pool and plenty of sunbeds and umberellas plent of restaurants and shops the super market was quite expensive but Netto was only 3 euros away and sells more what we brits like.
You do have to go out for entertainment or stay on the complex for a quiet night at the pool bar or indoor bar.
Most indoor bars are now No Smoking in Tenerife I think its a excellent idea even though im a smoker, you dont smoke as much.
Will be back hopefully in this apartment next year.

| said: First visit to Tenerife. This complex is fabulous. Very well laid out and located in a very nice part of the resort, quite upmarket Arrived after midnight, but the check in was very quick and friendly. We stayed in the La Palma block in a 2-bed apt. Upon entering the apt in the dark, we met our firts cockroach, which I removed. In all we saw about 4 over two weeks, on two separate occasions. This was due to the very meticulous cleaning regime. Every day the apt was cleaned and the floors washed with disinfectant. Cleaner gave me a spray for the cockroaches, but I only used it once. The apt itself had a typical kitchen area, cooker/fridge/toaster but we only had salads and tea&toast. 2 bedrooms, large living area and huge balcony, about 3 metres by 6 metres.
The pool area is very tidy, with plenty of sunbeds. Even though it was unnecessary, people insisted on 'reserving' them by leaving down towels early in the morning. The area is well laid out, and the security is friendly but efficient, regular checking for pool permits (and ejecting interlopers - saw this only once). Away from the pools proper, the areas are adorned with tropical trees and flowering plants, all very pretty and it makes a nice atmosphere. Food and drink is banned from the pool area, so you don't have to put up with drunken yobs carousing round the pool - although everyone seemed quite respectable, so it probably would never have arisen anyway. If you want to eat, there are plenty of snack bars around the complex. Would definitely go back.

Both floors had Sun Balconies which overlooked the main area Swimming pool complex which is rated as one of the best in the PDLA area, especially with its proximity to the beach.
The apartment we visited had lots of very nice extras like video's to watch in your room or CDs to listen to.
This Apartment sits in one of the best locations in Tenerife and is spotless, with an inbuilt safe etc.
If you are looking for an inexpensive holiday for 2 and you want to try these I would suggest you would look hard to find better. Thanks to Jon & Marilyn.

| said: The location of these apartments is excellent - they are located on the beachfront, near a sheltered sandy beach, and only a short walk along to the Las Vistas beach, which is the large sandy beach between Las Americas & Christianos.
The pool area is lovely, with plenty of space to play & swim. There is also a choice of cafes within the pool area. The security guards can be a bit of a pain though - I kept being asked for my swim passes - I guess they're there to make sure people dont just wander in and use the facilites but they can be a bit power crazy.
The apartment was very basic with no microwave and a dodgy toaster, but it was cleaned every day and towels changed. The lift in our block was also a bit dodgy and clanked & whirred slowly to our third floor apartment. We had a 3 bedroomed apartment and this gave us a large balcony, which was fantastic.
The reception staff were quite offhand really and were not exactly willing & helpful.
My son was robbed at knifepoint during our stay walking home from the Veronicas area. The police werent helpful at all and the reception staff wouldnt help either, so be warned. There is more on this in the resort section.
Overall, this place was good and a good base in the nicer part of town, near the designer shops & restaurants.

The pool area is something else, no problem with beds etc, the area is absolutely great the apartment was brilliant with lots of amenities.
The best thing was the low floor had a garden it was brilliant as we had our granddaughter with us, and she was safe at all times. No problems what so ever would definitely go there again.

| said: Fantastic location, right on the beach. We had a one bedroomed apartment with a wonderful sea view, right over the pool area!
Spotlessly clean, well fitted out, cleaned every day, there was a well equipped kitchen area. Television with several British channels, came in handy as my son had the flu and was in bed for a few days.
The Happy Stable, (the restaurant beside the pool) is very good for lunches, and reasonably priced. There are so many lovely restaurants nearby we were spoilt for choice! Don't eat in the Trattoria though, the pizza was very poor.

| said: We booked PS3 based on the reports given on this site and we were not disappointed when we arrived. We booked a 2 bed apartment and I had emailed PS3 to request a pool or sea view and to be no higher than the 3rd floor and we had all our requests met. We were also given a bird of paradise flower on arrival, very sweet.
We were on the first floor which we got to by a ramp, excellent for all those cases! Our apartment was overlooking the whole pool and had views of the sea. The balcony was as big as the apartment and the whole place was spotless. we only saw one cockroach and that was outside. The apartment had 2 fridges, coffee maker, kettle, cooking utensils, toaster, cooker (which we never used) and plenty of glasses and crockery.
The only downside and its a very very minor one is that every morning from 7am - 8am the pool area and sunbeds were cleaned, which could get a bit noisy from all the chattering but it was also lovely to get up early and watch the sun rise over the mountains. If you kept your patio doors closed you couldn't really hear it so I suppose thats a small price to pay for a spotlessly clean pool area. The whole area was spotless and well cared for, the security guards patrolled the area to ensure that the people using the pool had passes and were authorised to be there.
The pool is a huge lagoon style pool and is very safe for kids, at its deepest its only 1.50m, although the main pool is a bit chilly our daughter was in it all day every day.
There is a second pool that is heated and most of the older generation seemed to stay around that area. Most families seemed to stay around one particular area of the pool as it had a gentle slope into the pool with sunbeds on it, so you could sunbath whilst keeping an eye on the kids. I'm afraid that we did join the majority and put our towels on the sunbeds first thing so we could be in that area, although we could have had sunbeds elsewhere as it wasn't packed.
There is also a safe play area with climbing frame, slides etc that also has a small paddling pool for kids. There are also 2 restaurants by the pool, quite pricey so we usually ate in the apartment for lunch and ate out for tea, there is also a bar by the pool which has pool tables.
Although there was not entertainment at PS3 I have given it a high mark for entertainment as there was loads to do around the complex, crazy golf in PS5 is a must for kids (although a bit pricey) and there are loads of play areas and bars with entertainment close by. Lovely places to eat, especially star of Asia and Peking Garden - very child friendly. Also 2 very good supermarkets within in 5 mins of the apartments, the one outside PS5 is the best. Lovely cakes and fresh bread.
There are loads of shops within the complex and the general public did stroll over the main bridge over the pool to get to the shops from the beach but as we stayed at the other end of the pool it didn't bother us at all.
I would definitely go back to PS3 again and would recommend it to anyone with a young family. If its kids clubs and non stop entertainment round the pool then this place may not be for you but if your looking for a great apartment with wonderfully clean surroundings and close to all you would need then consider PS3, we loved it.

| said: To sum up PS3 I would say it’s big, comfortable, has a wonderful pool & is in a great location but has some peculiarities which, in my opinion, make it less than the 3 star plus rating given to it by First Choice.
The location of the apartments is wonderful. Easily the best part of las Americas & closer to los Cristianos than the rather shabby centre of PDLA around the Veronicas area. The area around PS3 is clean & newly developed with stunning 5 star hotels, nice restaurants and modern shopping centres. You are right on the sea front so it’s only a 2 minute walk from your apartment to the promenade which runs the length of the resort. You could, if you wanted, quite easily spend your entire holiday in this area without venturing to the centre of PDLA. Las Vistas beach is a 5 minute walk & is beautiful.
I had requested a quiet room with either a pool or sea view & in this respect the hotel did not disappoint. We were allocated the top floor of the el Hierro block which is right at the back of the complex & the view from our balcony was of both the pool & the sea and was really lovely. However, getting to our room on arrival turned out to be a bit of an ordeal! As other people have mentioned, the apartments have no lifts. You don’t realise the impact of this until you arrive hot & tired and have to lug a 20kg suitcase up (& down!) several flights of stairs. (Being Canarian in style the passages and staircases are all open aired so if its raining beware!). I am relatively young & fit and my shoulders were aching for 2 or 3 days after we arrived. I can’t imagine how elderly or disabled people cope! We arrived home on Friday night and I couldn’t lift a bag of shopping the next day as my shoulders were hurting so much from carrying the case back down again when we left!!!
The apartment itself was a one bedroom duplex style. The room was clean and comfortable although, in my opinion, had a rather dated feel to it, particularly the bathroom. The kitchen area was well equipped &, to the hotel’s credit, is the only one I have ever stayed in that actually has a good assortment of glasses!! There is no grill or microwave but there is a conventional oven & a toaster. My only real gripe about the apartment was that there was only 1 mirror in the entire place – a small one over the sink in the bathroom. This was a real pain when trying to get ready to go out as if someone was in the shower the mirror misted over so you couldn’t use it.
The facilities on site were very good. The pool is huge. I’d been a bit concerned when I read it was salt water but to be perfectly honest I barely even noticed. The shallow, sloping area nearest our apartment was were the small children tended to play but the pool is so big there are many quieter areas to swim or just chill. While the area around the pool did get very busy the pool never seemed to be crowded. The pool area is very clean and well maintained. For those of you, like me, who hate people leaving their towels out on sunbeds first thing in the morning, I’m afraid you can’t beat them here so you just have to join them!
There are several snack bars & restaurants in & around the hotel. We didn’t use them all but the ones we did use (the Chinese & the Italian) were excellent. You can eat out more cheaply than in the restaurants around PS3 but compared with English prices they are still quite cheap for good food. My restaurant recommendations in this area are the Star of Asia Indian restaurant & the Slow Boat Teppanyaki in the Safari shopping centre. Both extremely good meals in a nice environment.
In summary I think I would go back to PS3, primarily for its location & the pool. Having stayed in other 3 star plus First Choice hotels however, I don’t think PS3 is quite to that standard. It is perfectly clean & comfortable and, with the possible exeption of mirrors, has everything you need but, in my opinion, the apartments lack a certain element of luxury that tips the balance up from 3 star. Don’t let this put you off if you are thinking of booking PS3 as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Just work on your upper body strength, pack light & take a mirror!!

| said: We arrived at this huge complex 13\09\05 & was immediately impressed as we walked through the foyer area & the video on the large screen behind the reception instantly made me feel I was in paradise. (I gotta get me one of those plasma screens)
Having sent this hotel loads of emails asking for confirmation of our requests we was disappointed that we was located in the Santa Maria block (next to exit)with no pool view. We had to walk back out the reception around the complex to locate our room as there was no other access. We did find a short cut only to be greeted to a platform of steps. A headache for suitcases!
But when we did finally arrive we were pleased to have adjoining rooms & as we were on the low floor the balcony was huge! ideal for the little lad as he never keeps still he could play football.
After complaining to the receptionist the next day they did tell us that they could arrange a pool view adjoining room on the Friday. Which we happily accepted as we were already aware of this situation from an earlier report.
I had chosen this accommodation simply because it had the biggest & best Lagoon style pool in Playa, & a bonus for being next to the beach as we are Pool& sea worshippers. £2650 well spent I thought at this stage!
When we did "hit the pool" it still took our breaths away even though we had seen it at its peak on the foyer area TV! It did have a negative feel for us though, I knew this hotel has no entertainment but I couldn't believe how quiet a pool of this size can be.
My children 12, 11 & 5 are not the quietest out there & they are certainly aren't the loudest but we were informed that this complex was family friendly. We actually felt like the intimidators as we never seen any kids that were of a size to swim by themselves, & our kids were being no noisier than back home so I gave up yelling at them, as the Mrs was yelling at me!
We only spent a total 2 days at this poolside so you can imagine it took a little shine off my thoughts of this place.
On the other hand this place is really spotless! I can't fault the hotels cleanliness at all. Everywhere you went around the complex there were busy staff cleaning up. Maids came everyday.
The hotels location in my opinion is ideal for shoppers looking for designer wear. Musical fountain, marble floors look impressive but its not the area for family entertainment.
The strip (soul suite) (Highlander)etc entertainment was not really aimed at families. They were cafés with beer, so we soon got bored of this & went to St Eugene's most nights as we later discovered that this part of the resort was for us.
Overall 8\10

Hotel is in a good location - close to the beach, close to good restaurants and bars. It's about a 10 minute walk to Veronicas. The apartments are also built on a shopping centre - a girl's paradise!
The pool was huge - we never had trouble in finding a sunbed and it's good because you can help yourself to umbrellas that fix to your sunbed. If the weather's anything like er had, you'll need the umbrellas for a bit of shade!
Although there is no entertainment on at the apartments, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the locality that provide this.
I would certainly go back to these apartments again - there were perfect.

| said: We chose Santiago 3 based on quality of reviews here and wasn’t disapoint3de in any way at all.
Apartments are very well equipped, clean and if you get a ground floor one, then you have the benefit of a large grassed area leading to your own gate. And that’s in addition to a large patio area. Maids cleaned rooms every day of our 2 week stay.
Restaurants within (not outside) the complex, being the poolside bar ( Atlantico) and café bar by the beach are excellent. Service and food excellent, at very good prices. We ate many times in the evening and food was as good as we could find anywhere in Tenerife. Good, varied menu, with the paella being excellent. And well priced.
Drinks ate not expensive compared to outside, unless you want to go to a tacky UK bar doing their 1 euro beer during the day. Restaurants on the exterior of the complex are not quite as good, so we found, being more expensive and service not so good. The pizzeria was particularly poor – paella awful.
The pools at S3 are excellent. Like the complex, clean and spacious. Comments on here about no inflatables - this is excellent and the security do stop people who try to use them. Means that pool is for swimming – peaceful and relaxing. Sun loungers are excellent. Lots of them and no cost. On the beach would cost 6euros a day for a bed and parasol. Security are good and do get hold of intruders and those that want to come in and use the excellent facilities
Entertainment in complex- no need for any. If you want that sort of holiday, then go elsewhere.
The supermarket across the road, owned by Santiago is very good, with just about anything you might need there. Excellent.
S3 is located in a smart, upmarket part of las Americas. To the left is the Patch and Veronicas, (10 and 20 mins walk away, not as the rep will tell you) and to the right is the English area of bars near Cosmostella Beach Apts. Some nice walks along the beach.
Overall, excellent complex. Hard to beat it.

| said: Would highly recommend Santiago III apts, very well kept, no inflatables allowed, but pool area is lovely, plenty of sunbeds and brollies to go round.
We stayed in a ground floor one bedroom apt with its own garden, it was quite spacious. Maid service was every day - a credit to the complex as they work so hard and are very friendly. No kettle in room, but requested one at reception and it was brought to us immediately.
Complex in a great location inbetween Los Cristianos and Playa las Americas, great beach only 3-4 mins walk away along sea front, pool bar a bit pricey so we bought our drinks from supermarket which is just across the road, all in all a really good holiday, would definately book again.
The only thing I found awkward was there was no ramp for buggies(only stairs and a very fast moving escalator) to get to the apts and pool area, other access was via seafront.

| said: On our arrival at the hotel (Saturday 13th August at 2am) we were told that Parque Santiago III was fully booked and a room for us had been allocated in Parque Santiago V, we thought great we've been upgraded, were handed two lovely bird of paradise flowers and off we went. Only to find we were across the busy main road above the supermarket!!! From our room we overlooked a sheet glass roof straight into the supermarket, not funny when we requested a pool/sea view. The room I have to say was beautiful with solid marble flooring, two balcony's and lovely furniture. We complained immediately saying we had not booked into this accommodation but into PSIII. Reception told us that when you book any Parque Santiago accommodation you are NOT guaranteed which part you will be allocated and to call back the following morning. We were told the following morning that PSIII was fully booked but we could move rooms on the Tuesday. We decided to accept this and on the Tuesday went to reception where we given a key and asked to check the room before we moved to make sure it was what we wanted. The room was great (not as new and big as the first) a much better location with pool and sea view! We were extremely happy - reception were very courteous throughout all of my complaining!
You are asked every day for your tickets (issued at reception) by the pool - but this is understandable as the hotel is so large and also open to the beach where anyone could just walk in - we didn't find this a problem. We also never found getting sunbeds/umberellas a problem either, some mornings it would be eleven before we got down there and although we didn't always get close to the pool we always got beds. I did find the fact inflatables and balls weren't allowed a problem for my 13 and 11 year old, although in the deeper pool they were never told off for diving in or playing with a soft ball.
The hotel restaurants were expensive and the supermarket prices slightly dearer than others. The bar staff in the poolside bar were rude and ignorant and the food was terrible. We sat one day for 35 minutes waiting to be served whilst the bar man continued to serve the Spanish before us, even though we were there first!!! We walked out in the end and took our own from the supermarket to the pool!
The shopping arcade under the hotel has some lovely things although all can be found at Los Christianos Sunday market for a fraction of the price! (My daughter wanted an outfit that was 30 euros and was 13 on the market).
The maids are an absolute credit to the cleanliness of the hotel we were led to believe our room would be cleaned 6 out of 7 days and it was cleaned the full 14 days. The rest of the hotel including the pool and pool area were also cleaned spotlessly every day.
The location of the hotel is perfect. As you walk from the hotel via the seafront it is a few minutes walk to your left to some nice eating places - try Surfers or Macks if you want really good English food and good prices too. There are a lot of Aberdeen steak houses on the island which are ok too.
If you walk to the right its about ten minutes into Las Americas (The Patch) area where you must visit Brewers Droop Bar (great entertainment and excellent service with a fantastic guitarist). We walked into the heart of Las Americas one night (Veronicas) - don't take your kids there - I'm no prude - but found it highly unsuitable for my kids, its filthy too.
All in all I would go back to this hotel again although I wouldn't entertain the hotel bars/restaurants.

The apartment was a good size. We had a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 of us. Everything required for self catering was available - not that we ever ate in.
The sofa didn't look very comfy as a bed as the cushions moved around a bit.
No entertainment in the hotel at night which was a bit disappointing as we had my mum with us in another apartment who couldn't walk very far - after breaking her arm at the crazy golf ! So was a bit unsteady on her feet after that.

| said: We just returned from Parque Santiago 3 last night. These apts are very well maintained and are ideally situated. We had 2 one bedroomed and 1 two bedroomed apts all of which were spacious and cleaned daily.
The pool area is lovely with lots of free sunbeds and umbrellas. Security men patrolled the pool checking to make sure everyone there had a pass to ensure "outsiders" didn't try to make use of the pool, this became a bit tedious when the same person asked you on a daily basis to see your pass. Very strict around the pool area, absolutely no inflatables were allowed in any area of the pools despite the fact they were enormous (I had read in a previous report that rule about inflatables had been relaxed but not the case), weren't allowed balls or any toys, weren't allowed to play music.
Ideally suited to couples but only thing for teenagers was pool tables. No evening entertainment.

| said: I have just returned from holidaying at Parque Santiago III with my wife and 13 year old son. (June 2005).
The one bedroom apartment was nice and spacious and clean...(although we did have just the one cockroach.) The bedroom in the apartment was upstairs, and you could look over the bedroom wall down into the living area. I suppose this could be dangerous if you have children that like to climb! The bathroom is also upstairs...thus making the bedroom technically en suite.
The bed downstairs was one of those fold out settee beds. My son found this rather uncomfortable, as the cushions, which formed the mattress, were small individual ones that moved around, resulting in him disappearing through them and ending up laying on the wooden lats. Also the wooden lats used to creak loudly every time he moved!
At first we didnt have a kettle, and had to use the saucepan, but after a few complaints we were all issued with a kettle (all the ones i asked anyway). As well has the cooker and fridge we had a toaster and coffee maker.
The rooms are not air conditioned, but we never felt too hot. You also get satellite tv, with a few English channels.
The rooms have a decent balcony that is private enough from your neighbours. The lower your room is, the bigger balcony you get! Alot of the rooms have a great sea view, and although ours didn't, it was still a pleasant view looking out over the complex's gardens.
The pool here is the biggest and best i have ever seen. it is salt water, but that doesn't spoil it. It was never overcrowded, and there was always plenty of sun beds. the security there make sure only guests use them, by asking to see the sun bed tickets you were issued with at reception when booking in. They only ask one or two times, until they know your face. The pool area, like the rest of the place is nice and clean.
The bar at the pool was quite expensive, and I recommend you buy your own at the supermarket, and drink them at the pool, which you can, so long as it isnt glass. The restaurants on site are nice, but again pricey. The staff were friendly, but the entertainment facilities here are absolute rubbish!. 5 pool tables outside the pool bar, popular music playing in the background, and a small play area for toddlers in the middle of the complex. My 13 year old was struggling to find anything to do here, and ended up on the internet most days, which they have in reception.
It is a very quite place, and the security enforce this even more so at night. If you like shopping, there is a shopping centre that runs directly under this complex, with some nice designer shops, and you can get electrical goods, at good prices too, as they import them straight from Japan.
This complex is clearly in the upmarket part of town, with the floors all nice and marbled and no touts trying to sell you stuff or drag you into bars, unlike just down the road towards Las Americas. The beach is just a 3 or 4 minute walk, as the one bang outside is all rocks, and is where the surfers go due to the big waves. But don't be put off as the beach is a nice one, with an even better one further down at Los Cristianos, which is 10 minutes away.

| said: I booked two one bedroom apartments at Parque Santiago III with Maestro Vacations and had First Choice flights as I had been so impressed with the pictures and good reviews and doing it that way saved £70 each person. The whole place certainly lived up to my expectations, although there are a couple of things that should be noted. When I booked I asked for high floors and we were indeed given apartments on the fourth floor. Unfortunately, there are NO LIFTS, except in the tower blocks. This meant that we had to lug our suitcases up five flights of stairs, (about 45 steps)and it was bad enough in daylight but anyone arriving very late at night may have a problem finding their apartment. You have to check in at reception and then go outside and along to whichever block your apartment is in.
Although our apartments were next door but one to each other, ours was quite different to the other one. They were very nice and spacious but parents of young children should note that the bannisters would not conform with British standards as they were much to wide apart and a small child could fall through them. The stairs led up to the bedroom but the room was open to the stairs so any noise from the sitting room below could easily be heard. The other peculiar thing about our room was that one of the walls only went half way up so that you could look over it into the sitting room below (another danger if a child decided to climb over) The bedroom window was a small arched one high up near the ceiling and it could be opened but the only way you could see out of it was to stand on the bed. Our friend's apartment had a normal wall in the bedroom and a large door that went out onto a second patio with wonderful views of the complex, sea and mountains.
As the apartments are built in Canarian style, this meant that the corridors were mostly open to the elements. Some parts were under cover but this didn't help when we had some torrential rain over a couple of days and nights. The peculiar thing was that torrents of water would come flowing out of pipes in the covered parts and there would be puddles of water outside some of the apartments.
The kitchen was adequate, with enough crockery and cutlery for four people but there was no kettle so we had to make do with a saucepan. There was a bed settee in the lounge with opened up to make a double bed if needed. The TV had several English channels as well as foreign ones. The bathroom was a little peculiar as the bath was end ways on which meant you had to climb over the end of it to get in and, because the roof was sloping, the shower wasn't as high as it usually is as the shower head was just below waist level which meant we had to either hold it in our hand to shower or sit in the bath.
The swimming pool was the best I've ever seen, with lovely bushes and trees around the outside. The water is very salty which meant that you could literally lie back and float without any effort. The large pool felt very cold to get into but was OK once you were in. The depth was very good as it was only 1.5 metres at the deepest part. The other pool was much warmer and was lovely to get into after being in the colder one. There were plenty of sun beds and matresses and although there was the usual laying out of towels at unearthly hours (7.30 one morning) there were plenty to go round.
We ate at one of the restaurants on site on the wet evening and the waiters did a very good job under a lot of pressure as there was water dripping through the roof in many places. The food was excellent and we went several times.
The apartments are in a very good position as there is a large shopping arcade underneath as well as plenty of designer shops and others selling a wide range of items along the road. A very nice beach is a few yards away which makes it a just about perfect setting.

| said: The main attraction of these apartments is there location and superb pool area.
The are right in the middle of the upmarket end of the resort very close to the beach.
The pool area is magnificent with loads of sunbeds and umbrellas and is spotless. There are 2 pool/snack bars, 1 of which on the seaside promenade which is lovely.
There is a shopping arcade at the apartments, which all different types of shops and a large supermarket opposite.
Apartments are of a good size and very clean. There is no air con however there is a large, rather effective ceiling fan.
All in all these apartments are superb and would definately return.

| said: We have stayed at Parque Santiago for the past 6 years and we love it, we wouldnt stay anywhere else on tenerife.
The rooms are spotless and there are no cockroaches in the rooms. The pool is lovely and clean although it is salt water, this doesnt bother us its big enough for everyone.
We have never had any trouble getting a sunbed and they are only available to residents which means no riff raff.
We would recommend it to anyone its first class.

| said: We've been coming to this complex for over 5 years. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment as usual and the view when you first open the shutters still takes the breath away. A large lagoon salt water pool and beyond it the sea.
Very child-friendly with a playground, paddling pool and the gentle slope of the lagoon pool.
This is a complex to unwind with meals and meanders. For lively entertainment Las Americas is not far.
The rule about inflatables has been relaxed. All sorts were being used although the security guy will come and check for your yellow pass so make sure you get one from reception on arrival.
Numerous restaurants form part of the Parque Santiago experience and are all excellent.
Check www.parquesantaigo.com for more info.

| said: Playa honda, was very dirty, aspro did not tell us it was a 18-30 place. All night long there were fights, after they had been on the booze.
The swimming pool was supposed to be knew, never, all kinds floating in it of a morning. Lots of roaches. The good thing about it was it was central to the town.
An old hotel which should be knocked down. Oh yes in the park opporsite, vagrants slept and they begged outside the hotel during the day. it's nothing short of a bomb site

| said: Stayed here in July/August, excellent place to stay, the 3rd time we have been to these apartments,
The Poll is very clean but saltwater.
Every where else is very clean
Staff are polite, you can get odd obnoxious ones but not too bad.
There is a pool bar, and a inside bar, which we have never been to the Latter one.
drinks are a little pricey and a bit slow to be served but thats the tenerife way.
well recomended

| said: The apartment was gorgeous, spacious and very clean, the staff were great, rooms were cleaned everday, it was close to the beach, all the shops and supermarkets were right on the doorstep, wasn't too far from pubs/clubs/bars and restaurants...not much entertainment in the actual hotel except a bar and a restaurant but i must recommend the soul suite, great music there, lots of live tribute acts to motown artists and within 2 mins walking distance...absolutely loved it there, would definately go there again!! I'd recommend parque santiago 3 to anyone, families, couples and young people!

| said: Just back today after spending two weeks at ps3. I had a fantastic time, the area around is lovely and clean with good shops and restaurants. Recommend Harrys bar and Slow boat chinese across the road. The maids came every single day of our holiday and you can get sun loungers at any time of the day. the cafes around the apartments are nice and the staff are helpful and friendly. The pook is very big and clean but the salt water can be irritating. Recommend hiring a fan for about 20 euros as the rooms get hot. Also did not spot a single cockroach in the apartment which was brill. I would definately go back.

| said: These apartments are very good indeed and the area is superb. The complex is fairly big and consists of various "blocks" of apartments all set around a lagoon style swimming pool.
The apartments are kept spotless with maid service supposedly 6 times a week, but we can"t remember the day that she missed! They are equipped with all you will need, but on the off chance something has gone astray, just ask at reception, they are very friendly and helpful. I think I read on the hotel reviews on here someone saying their apartment did"nt have a kettle, well neither did ours, but after enquiring at reception we had one sent up within 10 minutes.
We stayed in the reception block, which is right at the front and furthest away from the swimming pool. O.K. for us but a bit of a trek if you"ve got kids. Also , we stayed in a studio, which was fine, sizewise, inside but because of the shape of the reception block the balcony was tiny, just enough room for table & chairs, although the 1 & 2 bedroom apartments did all seem to have a large balcony. Because of the size of the complex, there is always some sort of maintenance work going on,i.e. grasscutting, joinery etc. so it can be a bit noisy through the day, but no problems at night, very peaceful.
Security is very visible 24 hours, one day they went round the pool asking to see your room pass and there were quite a few people asked to leave because they were not residents. There is a selection of bars & restaurants on site all of which are excellent, but try El Meson for snacks and ice creams and La Trattoria for superb Italian.
Also have to put in a word for El Faro, just across the road, and Picasso"s on the front by the Vista Sur centre. Up the road a little, by the Parque de la Paz, is the strip with bars like the Soul Suite and The Hole in the Wall and only a 10 minute walk to the Patch.
We had a great time here and will be back in October, so will have to start looking for private lets as we booked this as a late deal and don"t think we"d get as good a deal again.
Hope this report is of use to some members.
Gordon.
P.S. Been going to Tenerife for 10 years now, and this is the quietest I"ve ever seen it. Night time was"nt too bad but days were so quiet. I think some businesses must be feeling the pinch.

| said: We were in Parque Santiago 4(same block as 3) this is Paradise saw some complainings, how is it possible! I think some people are living at home like Steptoe & Son and when they are on holiday than the best things are not good enough.(I am a receptionist in a 3 star hotel in Ostend, I know what tourists are) Please, when you don't like Santiago 3 and 4, then go to Blackpool.
In a circle of 700 yards of Santiago 3 & 4, you have everything what a paradise can give you, the best restaurants, tax-free electronic shops, beach, heavy nightlife, lovely nightlife, karaoke, peacefull walking streets.
When you complain about this part of Playa Las Americas, than book this year "The Parador Hotel" near the top of the Volcano.
Thank you,
MICHEL

The pool is always being cleaned even to the extent of powerwashing the sides! every morning from about 5 you would see the cleaners scrubing everything, no cockroaches in the apartment the only living things are the doves very friendly . there are many restarunts cafes and bars belonging to parque santiago with a pool side bar only downside is that the pool tables are now 2 euros ! .A great place to eat is el mesons right next to the reception friendly waiters and a guy called franky plays there most nights . There is allways security around 24 hours a day . There is a supermarket oppisite the complex and they stock everything.
