| said: We booked a private owners apartment in ocean park and were surprised about how well it was furnished with all the things that we not had before from the tour operator. It had TV, DVD, hifi, all the household appliances.
The terrace was big and overlooked the pool with sea views. The cooker broke when we were there and the owner had it replaced with a new one next day as he has a guy Steve that does the repairs for him.
We met his cleaners and friendly English couple. We found the apartment on his website Alan Dow Tenerife where he has others at Los Geranios. We know the resort very well of PDLA as we been going there for 8 years, so its good to get accommodation that's comfortable, clean and homely.

| said: We got this apartment off the web, thorough a company called Finkar Property Management. Ocean Park itself is functional, but nothing more.
The apartment was basic but adequate, apart from the bathroom. This was filthy, and the toilet bowl was not secured to the floor!
Finkar refused to attend to rectify these issues, and attempted to blame the unclean bathroom floor on the colour of the tiles!
As we were only there for 5 days, I was not prepared to spend half our time chasing them. The apartment had great views, but beware – most in the block are privately owned, so renovation can be going on at any time. The unit below ours was being totally gutted and refitted while we were there, and when we were in, the noise was often intolerable.
Finkar denied being aware of this until they had cleaned (!) that morning before our arrival, despite the balcony below being full of rubble, and building materials. They also seemed confused as to whether they had cleaned the apartment themselves or whether they had used a third party.
The response differed when we reported the building work frorm when we asked them to return to the bathroom The guys working below told us they had been on this job for two months, and would be for another two, so it would have been difficult to ignore! Overall, Ocean Park is cheap and cheerful, and would be fine if you just want Tenerife and clubbing.
I would think twice before using Finkar though.

| said: This was the first time that we have stayed anywhere anything other than all inclusive. We booked flights & apartment independently. Apartment through Owners Direct.
Studio apartment - two twin beds & sofa bed. Nice to have full size sofa bed for my son as he is 6ft+. Fully equiped with cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, TV, DVD, stereo etc. Kept to a nice standard as it is someone's own apartment.
If you like quiet, this complex is excellent - at times only us around and in the pool. Seems that most apartments are owner occupiers (older ages).
Small basic bar onsite - nice couple who run it started there in December 05. They do simple food, breakfast, sandwiches, steak & chips etc. Food & drink very reasonable prices.
Nice selection of bars/restaurants nearby and only a 5 min walk to seafront.
No entertainment on site but plenty in restaurants etc.
This was a nice relaxing holiday which is what we wanted. If you have young children I think they may be a bit bored. My 14 year old was a little but then he is an awkward age! I wouldnt think it suitable for group of younger people looking for a clubbing holiday either. Suits older families, couples just looking to chill!

| said: This hotel was very friendly and staff are very helpful the first choice reps were excellent with the kids.We did eat in the hotel one evening and the choice was great.Drinks were not cheap and sunbeds were broken if you did not get up early you would end up with a broken sunbed.Roy and stacy were at the pool every day and I must say that i have never been on holiday and had my kids told to shut up so people could play bingo.Kids go on holiday to play not to be told to shut up and at night in down stairs bar we were told if we wanted to speak when they were doing the quiz or bingo to go outside. This was the only thing wrong with this hotel as everyone of the first choice reps were great.I would say that if they want families to go then they must learn that entertainment does not mean shutting up your kids they make holidays.

| said: We stayed at Ocean Park Apartments for a fortnight at the end of November 2003.
These apartments are situated in a quiet part of San Eugenio away from the hustle and bustle of Las Americas. It was a ten minute walk to the excellent beaches via a paved path which avoided main roads. Nearby was a range of excellent restaurants and bars.
The complex has a small bar open during the day to serve holiday makers around the pool. The complex was clean and tidy and well maintained.
Since the departure of the main tour operators this complex is free from the 18-30 holiday makers so is very quiet at night. Ideal for young families and couples wanting a relaxed holiday.
The apartments are on the level which make them ideal for older or disabled holidaymakers
