Not the best location for younger people looking for a week of drinking but easy enough to get a taxi into the main resort.

Apartment was cleaned every two days. Bed linen and towels also changed every two days. The only problem we had was having to have a cold shower ! The hot water runs out after about five minutes and does not return till hours later.

We ate at the pool bar quite often the food is ok (very basic). Overall we had a pleasant stay, but there where a lot of people staying there at the same time who did not.

after reading differing reviews on this property we all left our minds open.generally on first sight it seemed a nice enough place, this was to prove quite misleading.firstly not enough towels or bedding.the security on the balcony doors is laughable,a piece of wood in the track of the door to stop somebody sliding it open...no actual lock on the door! cats roamed the corridors often leaving their mess which was swept but not mopped until the day we left.cats were often found in peoples apartments.the major incident involving our party came roughly halfway through our two week stay, whilst preparing for a night out my nephew of ten years and his brother of seven were sat on their sofa waiting for their parents when the hot water boiler in their kitchen came crashing off the wall, through the cabinet and into the sink smashing several glasses and scaring the living daylights out of my two nephews.this could have been a hell of a lot worse. imagine if there was somebody at the sink or if the boiler had split open spraying the room and the children in scolding hot water.the family were moved to another room.apparently the bracket "holding" the boiler had just corroded away,it resembled something like a flake chocolate. health and safety as we know it does not exist there.we were told checks would be made but saw no evidence of this. one other serious note, the fence separating the small pool from the large pool was not fastened down as we saw when three teenagers moved it along the side of the pool.what if this was to topple over and trap a toddler under the water.i reported this to our rep who in turn went straight to the manager.she returned to say he would deal with it tomorrow....somehow i think tomorrow never comes at the malibu park.i really hope this was resolved after we left but i wouldnt put money on it.

We have been to Malibu park before and when we read the reviews and thought what have we done, but when we got there our rooms were very clean we had towels, sheets every day and the maid every day and all the staff was very friendly even when my mum left the key in the back of the door. They went and go a handyman to take the handle off and did not even charge her for it.Even the manager had to laugh. We went to the smimming pool everday , It was clean ,loads of sunbeds and there was 24h security and there was no problems at all. I will be going back next year.

I have just come back from a week staying at the Malibu Park. Before I went I read reviews and was dreading going.

I would just like to say that in my opinion its nothing like the reviews on here. There was four of us, 1 boy, 3 girls all 18. If its familys theres enough there to do.

Its also for young people as well if your a young group going here ignore the reviews its a great place to stay lovely people, fit lads n its only 5 euros down to Veronicas n Starcos which are the main night life.

I would definitely recommend to pub crawl "o what a night". the best places to go are tramps, rags, yordys, yates, edwards.

All in all I think the Malibu Park was a great place to stay and I think its for all familys, young group or couples.

just come back from a fortnight in this hotel, didnt have any major problems whilst there, found rooms clean and spacious, towels changed daily, bedding weekly, quite noisy at night when other guests arriving back, the footsteps seem to be made by elephants!

Security guards on duty day and night and didnt hear about anyone being burgled while we were there, the rooms seemed quite secure, we had a loose lock on our patio door and reported it as soon as we got there, it was repaired immediately. Can't see how anyone can break in as windows had grilles and patio door had a slat of wood to put in place after locking so that it couldnt be pushed open.

The pool was clean and tidy, the staff in the poolside bar were quite ignorant though, one young lad asked them for a euro in exchange for coins, they wouldn't do it, so I changed it for them and paid them with the change!

The only problem with this hotel is it was quite hilly so at the end of a good night out at the beach front bars you had the long trek uphill back to the hotel.

There is a gate at the side of the Chinese restaurant which is locked around midnight, which cuts off quite a big hill.

Most of the bars in the immediate vicinity close early so you have to go further afield, there is one place you must go for a meal, Phoenix bar (come out of hotel and turn right, follow road along and you come to some bars, its there).

The food is delicious and not expensive, though it does seem to get full early, for special occasions book a table!

I wouldn't stay at the Malibu Park again simply because it is too far from the beach (15-20mins walk) and too hilly, but I did enjoy my stay and wouldnt put anyone else off from going here.

Just been for the 6th time to Malibu Park. Why ? It's friendly ,clean ,great place ,great staff and we had a fabulous holiday. We know the area now too,

We didnt' see anything to upset us (robberies ) while we were there. A secuity guard was on duty all day.

Can be a a bit noisy at night so closed the windows and hired a large fan. People enjoying themselves, and why not they are on holiday! Fun place to be for families.

Most of the comments are in 2005. Great place we'll be back, next year !

Holiday Disater!!! went from bad to worse

a group of us were going for our 18th birthday, everyone pulled out and we were left to go. Horrible flight times and 2 weeks of pure GREY Spanish Clouds - No sunshine and lost my mobile phone on the beach first day! Was a nice hotel however very quiet and basic and was miles from anywhere.

To get to the beach it was best to take a taxi, to get to the nightlife it was best to stay at another hotel.

was out in the stick, no entertainment and on top of everything we chose to go during the World Cup!

Too many fights - drink related and 100's of reps hasstling you to go in their bars. However go in the GAS BAR - Friendlist place to go

Mainly bad timming when we went but expect it to be an ADVENTOROUS Holiday if you go

This has got to be the worst holiday I have ever been on!

Suffered numerous problems including having no bed linen, broken TV, bulbs missing from lights had to sleep on a broken bed for almost a week! No pillows for 2 days! Somebody tried to break in whilst we were asleep!

The pool was closed for 2 days during the 1st week as filters we not working properly and the in the last week of our holiday somebody decided to poo in the pool this was bad enough but reps and staff didn’t even close the pool ! Indeed it took until the afternoon when another one was discovered to finally close it! Somebody continued to do in the pool everyday after that until our holiday finished! I know it’s expensive to swim with dolphins but paying nearly £2000 to swim in excrement is just too much!

Reps and hotel staff absolutely useless! My advice to anyone who is booked to go here is Get you accommodation changed immediately! Absolutely disgusting!

Just returned home from Malibu Park. Whilst the apts were clean & spacious they were getting robbed. 7 rooms done in the 2 weeks we were there 1 lady got off the transfer bus and her bag was dipped all her money gone.

The reception staff were quiet rude and no help to her at all English people on complex chipped in with money and food she went home 3 days later heartbroken. Reps never even told us about the burglaries they just kept saying they couldn't comment. I would never ever go back to these apts again but Tenerife is a lovely place just watch your valuables be warned.

The pool area was spotless everyday and the food and service at the pool area was at a great standard, however more entertainment probably would attract more people to the bar area at night.

Have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday at malibu park.the apartment itself was very spacious, quite well furnished, although be aware if more than 2 of you, the hot water for the shower runs out, so if you dont want a cold shower go first!

Rooms were cleaned every other day, there is a tele in the room but it runs on a meter so have plenty of change to hand, only a few channels on it though. The view from our balcony was amazing, perfect view of mount teide.

We did have a cockroach in our bathroom on the first night, so be prepared if you see one their massive, also the balcony is half covered in grit and we saw a few running around one night so watch where you walk!

Splash bar did lovely breakfast, quite cheap. No entertainment on sight.

Reception staff reasonably friendly, although the chap who checked us in on arrival could hardly speak English so bit of a communication problem. Pool was lovely, seperate one for children, plenty of sunbeds.

Bit of a problem with lager louts round pool on first day, but luckily they flew home the next day. All in all a nice hotel, would stay there again.

Malibu Apts - Same basic adequate Pine type furnishings. Clean and bed linen was changed every 2 days. Nice clean Pool - separate one for kids. Spash bar served nice snacks - decent staff.

Located up hill directly across from AquaPark about 15 mins leisurely walk will get you to Las Americas. 10 mins will get you to Porto Colon Harbour and good Fanabe beach(come down back stairs where you can see tennis club and take short cut past Aquapark fence corner and past Pinnochio Restuarant to cut off some of the trek).

Lot of stairs at Malibu. Has a useful Spar supermarket underneath opposite the Waterpark. Quiet in evenings ..films shown at Splashbar.

Cook rep only informed us on turning in that the Apts now asked for 30 Euros per person or £20 sterling deposit in case of breakages returned on checkout. Was a bit miffed as that's a chunk of a 1 week budget. (prob best to give them sterling which you can use on arrival back home I reckon) Was concerned that this meant bad reputation but to be fair they returned it immediately on checkout without making a check on the room.

Wouldn't put anyone off making this a base young, couples or families. No problems with it had a relaxing break.

Very basic room. On arrival socket hanging off wall (we have a 3 yr old) which was fixed quite quickly. The room could have been cleaner.

The location is diabolical and not at all pushchair friendly. The resort is all over the place and much better down Los Christiano's end.

All in all would never go again total waste of money.

Arriving at the Malibo Park, I was surprised, it was very clean.

The staff were very helpful, could not do enough to help you. In the bar on a night they had the latest films on big screen.

The only complaint is ... they need more sun beds around the pool, if not up by 9.30 there was none left, but a good holiday

The hotel was directly opposite the Aqua park near busy road and too far away to walk to nightlife or beach.

There wasn't much to do nearby and in complex only watch films on the big screen so be prepared to spend money nightly on taxis to nightlife which are reasonable and reliable. There is a courtesy bus several times during the day which you have to enquire about at reception.

Found all staff pleasant it helps if you try a little local lingo.

Supermarket and both cafes good.

Quite clean our resident neighbours were very noisy though. It's a lazy place to be and we found it extremely boring especially for our wee boy but nothing wrong with it we personally wouldn't go back to this area

Well!!!!!! where do I start ? This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I wouldent even let a pet live here.

When we went to Malibu Park we were expecting a great holiday, as the travel agent explained it to be a fantastic place to go to but she was so wrong. This was worse then any bad dream I have ever had.

When we arrived we had to wait in a queue for about half an hour as there was only one lady at reception. When we got to our apartment we dumped our suitcases and had a look around it took us ages to get to the pool as there were no directions but when we found it it looked ok so we decided to take a closer look. We went to the bar and it in a tiny room with an overhead projector as a television and we just looked at each other in disgust.

It was so dirty but we are all willing to give new things a try. As the next day came, we went out for breakfast at our usual down on the main street (we always go there for our food as it is great) then we came back up to laze around the pool. All day we thought reps were there to keep guests happy well not these two girls, we didnt see them at all apart from when we had our introduction. As the week went on things didnt get any better, the bar served the same food every time (well it wasent really food at all) chips and burgers.

By the time our last day come we were waiting at the entrance for the coach to come and get us. Thats how bad we wanted to get out of there. It is a shame really when Playa de las Americas is such a great holiday resort its just that we got the bad seed of the hotels.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone even if I was a million pounds too!!!!!

This is the 5th time we have been to Malibu park and we have already booked to go back again this place is great for families.

The staff are all so helpful and a maid service comes about 6 times a week to clean and change towels.

The rooms are clean the complex has a fantastic pool bar where Oscar and the rest of the staff greet you and make you feel welcome.

The food there is excellent and 2 Dvd's are shown nightly. Some football matches ae also on large screen too.

The pool has a smaller child area fenced off but still deep for smaller children... NO lifeguard on duty children need to wear armbands. There are sunbeds and umbrella's but not enough so you have to be up early to get these, didnt really bother us though.

The security is excellent but some of the gates were locked and we had to use the front entrance but to be fair they did have notices up to tell us.

They could do with a card system so we can ge out all exits.

On the complex is a supermarket where they have daily fresh rolls and english food, dailynews papers etc. On site also is one washing machine but I was on holiday haha so walked past it. Also the intenet is available too.

Good place for the family so looking forward to going again next year.

We stayed in the Malibu apts ,we had a great holiday. Clean, decent priced shop and bar area, and no rush for sunbeds in the morning. The place does not stir till around elevenish.

Pool clean and ample space, good kids pool. Our boys are 15 and 10 and made friends ok,I got told not many kids there, more young and single, but we fond it ok for the boys.

Good walk up and down to beach ,but a pleasant one. Americas area nice ,lots of good eating places ,but staff outside do badger you a bit ,not as bad as Puerto Colon where they manhandle you! I was told by a scot resident that authorities are sorting this out for 2006,heres hoping so, as we found the constant badgering the only draw back of an excellant holiday.

As you come out of apts at bottom of hill the Malibu restaraunt is there ,the food is fantastic ,we went on 8th night as we liked to walk up an appetite, but wish we had gone sooner, but went 3 times anyway - excellent.

On arrival the reception staff were very polite, quickly sorting our deposit and safe money out and handing us keys and map.

Our apartment was large with plenty of room, could fit more than 4. Balcony was large only problem was the grit that covered half, usually the half in the sun!

Plenty of towels in the bathroom, bedding was clean, kettle provided and hairdryer in bathroom had to get someone to open balcony door though as instructions were backwards, instaed of pushing catch down and sliding to left as instructions said you have to push catch up and slide to right!

Hotel shop more like a mini market was nicely laid out not to expensive, staff were polite and friendly, speak abit of spanish they seem to get humoured by it as well as appreciating it!

Pool area was quite good, although to get a bed you have to get up for around 9 to put your towel out, some families really took liberties putting their towels out before 9 then going to the market for 5hours or out for the day therefore taking up 6 or more beds all day for no reason!!

The splash bar was reasonably priced decent food if you're just lounging around the pool all day, again polite and friendly staff! films were played in bar every night, such as madagascar, the incredibles and robots.

Music during day could be louder or be played around pool. Terrace bar was nice too. Holiday reps were ok, rob and sarah, any spare toiletries when you're leaving give to them also any leftover alcohol and food too.

Hotel is prime location for waterpark and if you use the pathway down the side of ocean beach hotel it will take you directly to the beach 15min walk roughly from hotel, the hill wasnt as bad as everyone made out but was a bit harsh during the hottest hours, hotel courtesy bus is very useful tips dish at front of bus.

Would definately go back to malibu park. Only complaint is the residents that lived next door to our apartment with a small child that screamed constantly from 7am every morning, sounded like they were torturing it although I will stress they weren't it was just a brat that screamed when told no. Or when excited!

We all found the hotel very clean and the rooms were very nice, our balcony was massive.

The hotel was very clean maids came in about 3-4 times. We had a brilliant view of the sea and waterpark.

The hotel pool is very cold but ok when you get used to it.

We did have a few cockroaches but not as bad as we were expecting.

The hotel is quite far from the beach and centre but we thought this was ok we used taxis (only 3-4 euros).

I would recommend this hotel to 18 - 30s we found the hotel great as a base.

Arrived at Malibu Park on the 13th Feb at 11pm. We did specify a cot with Thomas cook and there wasn't one in the room. Told reception and they said they couldn't do anything till tomorrow. Bathroom was ok but hot water only lasted half way through a shower. Told reception and they said it takes 15mins to re-heat up. Used kettle to fill up bath for the kids. Maids only visited twice during the whole week.

The food at the bar was basic but ok. Hotel staff were pleasant.

There are a lot of steps around the hotel so with a pushchair it was a bit difficult.

I thought the location of the hotel was terrible. It's quite a walk to beach and shops and a bit hilly. There isn't anything for the kids to do on site, so when the weather wasn't very good they got bored.

The only entertainment was films. Three films every evening. They were new re-leases but they were pirate copies so the quality wasn't too good.

There is a bar called Bens that’s behind the Spar and it does family entertainment too, we went there most nights. There's a bouncy castle for the kids and quiz’s for the adults. They do nice food too.

We arrived on the Friday afternoon and our room was not ready, which seemed a bit off putting as we had to wait for an hour in reception, and had to ask, rather than bein told our rooms were ready. The staff behind reception where not exactly fantastic, chosing to answer the phone in the middle of dealing with coustomers.

The rooms where of much higher quality than expected, the twin beds and pull out were quite comfortable, and the kitchen facilities where above expectations, even though we had to use the kitchens from both apartments to get one fullt working one!

The bathroom in one appartment was slightly disapointing, no lock on the door, shower running cold half way through a shower and falling on our heads as it didnt fit in the wall fitting properly! But other than that, the bathroom was acceptable.

On the third day, we had problems with our door when we returned from a night out. The man in reception sent up a security guard who told us it was not possible to open the door, handed the key back and walked off! It was only for the back door being open that we got into our appartment, and the door was only fixed the afternoon after.

The pool was freezing cold, however there was plenty of sun loungers around the pool, and the pool tables provided hours of entertainment! The splash bar provided a wide choice of food and the staff were generally helpful!

The mini market by the enterance of the hotel was fantastic. It supplied everything from frozen pizzas to flipflops, and was open at hours which where suitable to all hotel guests!

We were also able to meet up with the reps after the show, and they where always available when needed.

Having read a few mixed reviews about the Malibu Park it was great to get there and find everything was lovely!

The complex is nicely laid out and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Our room had a lovely view, overlooking the waterpark...which was really interesting as we watched people throwing themselves down the 'Wave' water slide! You could also see the Sea!!!

The apartment was spotless and the maids cleaned at least 3/4 times during our weeks stay.

The Pool bar was brill! Menu was really good for such a small place and the cocktails and Sangria were wonderful!! The staff were extremely friendly & the films they showed were fantastic!

We're already pricing up next year's stay at the Malibu!!

Malibu Park was a great place to stay for a one week holiday. It has everything you need on the door step and the Thomas Cook reps are very useful.

It is very basic but you can guarantee a good holiday!

Absolutely dreadful place, when booking was made told 2 floors ground and second (resort has 2 floors with 3 beneath shops meaning 5 floors up when you look out of balcony)

Given two apartments far apart, patio doors were broken lock broke wood holding it shut in both of the apartments. Bed was broken in one apartment if you call it a bed, it was made out of a cupboard with wood screwed on and it was broke! Matter was reported to reps, asked could it be mended while they look into alternative accommodation.(We had our flight delayed from 01.40 to 04.55 and had been up for hours at a airport. arrived resort 10.00) We went back to see rep 1 hour after arriving at accommodation to be told they would be going for a siesta and they would not be able to arrange accommodation until 4 pm.

Found the Sunset reps to be very unhelpful would never book again with them and would advise anyone I know to do the same. Holiday booked through Thomas Cook

We found all equipment given in the apartment very good, an over with two hobs, toaster, sink, lots of cupboards, bathroom- Hair dryer in it.. so more room in your luggage!

Nice balcony.. The cleanliness was generally good, except for the floor, which looks clean but your feet always seem to be black when you've walked on it!

The food is quite good value for snacks, but i'd recommend walking to the sea front for proper meals, if you want a very nice-but posh meal two minutes walk away is El Molino Blanco.. its food is 100%!

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and a wide range of films were shown throughout the week in the bar!

Malibu Park, you've read the rest, her's an update. We loved it. Good sized rooms, could do with a microwave but otherwise adequate as we ate out all the time except for toasted snacks.

Towels changed frequently. Sea view from balcony, a bit distant. Two small, licenced, supermarkets on site. Snack bar on site. Didn't use the pool or watch the entertainment. No noise problems. Cannot fault the accommodation at all.

Pay TV cheap enough and kept up with the news. Newspapers printed locally for breakfast reading.

Didn't or rather, don't, ever, do Rep trips so cannot comment.

We were short a sink plug and the TV was damaged. Sorted within the hour. Rep pleasant and friendly.

Would use Sunset again.

Again, I was a bit worried after reading some not so good reports on this place, but I'm happy to say that thay must have come from some pretty fussy or stuck up people. Malibu Park was a very nice place.

The appartment itself was very clean with lots of space for the two of us with a kind of open plan feel.
The only downside was the bathroom, it was just too small. The heat that built up in there was just crazy! We had to hire a fan from reception, otherwise we would have got no sleep :o)
Never saw one cockroach.
Pool was great, and the staff were very nice (appart from the miserable old bastard who was at reception during the night hours)
Splash bar was good for a snack, and the beer was always super cold! :o) Dorada was fantastic! :o)

Location was fine, the hill proved no problem for us and the aquapark was easy to get too (right accross the road) There was a great place to eat called Malibu just down the road. Highly recommended!

I would stay here again, but the only things I would change would be the tiny bathroom which was too small (was also like an oven) and would also try and get hold of some Air Con. The weather was great outside, lovely and warm! But inside it was just a bit too hot.

Overall, a very nice stay!

After reading terrible reviews we were worried about visiting Malibu Park. I now have to say that i was extremely happy with all the facilities offered.

I must stress that this is not the place to take children. However, for groups and young couples this is the perfect base for a fun holiday.

I'm sorry but are people moaning about the heat?! Its Tenerife for God's sake! If i wanted to be cold I'd stay at home!!

I had read several reviews about these apartments after booking, so I was well prepared for most things. On arrival the place seemed clean and well looked after. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They couldn't help us hire an air-con unit however because they stopped dealing with the hire company a day or two before we arrived. Subsequently the room was hot, but not unbearable. It's not far from Africa for goodness sake. What do people expect? If you want sun and heat you have come to the right place. Want to stay cool? Then stay at home. The room was cleaned regularly. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were good. Very good if you just want to use it as a base to tour the island. The only real complaint I had was the "footy shirted English drunk" types. The beer soon knocked them quiet though. I'd visit Malibu again if they sorted the aircon.

Like many others we booked this holiday at the last minute. Then we read the reviews.. but decided to keep an open mind!
We got to the hotel at 1am and handed over the £100 deposit. We weren't allowed to sleep 5 in an apartment so had to pay for 2. We walked into the first and were hit by the heat in the room so went to open the patio doors. We were a little worried at the piece of wood wedging the doors closed in addition to the lock. We understand why this was needed now.
Opened the doors and looked over the balcony to see 3 lads sleeping on balcony below due to the heat. The fact that they were starkers may appeal to some.. but with 3 girls aged 7-12 it concerned us! Found lots of people slept on balconies due to heat inside apartments.

Looked in bathroom and bath was ancient with most of the enamel missing. Decided to try next apartment they'd given us - 3 doors away!

Bathroom had newer bath despite the shower rail hanging off the wall... but the smell was awful. Ended up buying toilet cleaner and plug in air fresheners.

Husband went to sleep in apartment with knackered bathroom and I went to open the patio doors as I was in the living room on the sofa bed (Not so much a couch as an 'Ouch!') One of our daughters was on the roll out bed so that we knew they weren't able to see 'anything unsuitable' from the balcony. As I went to open the patio I was wolf whistled by youths next door, so shut them again and locked up despite the extreme heat.

Seconds later could hear footsteps on balcony as they all decided to step over the dividing wall!! Complained to security who didn't see why this was a problem!

As the apartments are built into the hillside the 3rd story we were in overlooked the water park at the back which was great, but also gave us full view of the balconies below and to each side. This included the 'mating rituals' of the Geordie girls in the next apt to the previously mentioned lads.

Tho not sad enough to want to watch any of this.. at any given point we seemed to witness something whenever we went onto the balcony; whether it was the girls out there without their knickers or the sight of one of the lads putting on his condom (a small mercy!!) In the end we stayed off the balconies at night.

We were told that the lads in the next apt to ours who'd made so much noise each night (and spat over the balconies to the apts below) would leave in 3 days and we could take that as our 2nd apt. We agreed as the apts each side were derelict so couldn’t be let to anyone else.

The night they left they had about 20 teenagers in the apartment drinking, swearing and being noisy. Security were again afraid to tackle them.

The front of the apt where the bedrooms are situated looked onto the poolside. Each night kids who had nothing else to do, being too young for the Veronicas would get off their faces and then sit on the walls around the pool area right next to the apartments and the noise was unbearable. They were about 4 ft from the bedroom windows. Even with these closed, in that kind of heat, every word could be heard.

Unfortunately our apt was by the steps from the pool area - and the 'splash bar' - so any kids falling down these drunk, added to the noise.

When I made the booking the travel agent seemed a little reluctant to make it and I can now see why. She obviously knew about the place. But the booking system came up with a note to travellers stating that the splash bar was now closed by the management. The brochure also said that this was a place 'suitable for families and couples'.

If I had read that this was a lively, basic hotel suitable as just somewhere to sleep for 18-25 yr olds I would not be writing this review, as I'd only have myself to blame for choosing something clearly unsuitable.

We all need different things from a holiday.

If you are 13-18 there was little to do here except watch the 'unreleased' movies in the bar. They are not new releases on dvd - as proved by the sight of people standing up in the cinema they were recorded in! But the heat and the smell of chips frying in the splash bar (aka 'cafe') made this even less of a choice for them.

When I asked the security guard at 12.35 to move the kids (who were swearing) on from outside our window he told me that 'even 1 am was not late on holiday for noise'. It is when you are 7 yrs old and want to sleep! Its a very long walk from the resort, all uphill, back to Malibu Park. My kids were pooped.

I am only in my 30's. I love kids and teenagers! I teach 11-18 yr olds, and get along fantastically with them. But on holiday I don’t want a bunch of them, blind drunk, outside my window 14 nights out of 14!

At that age these kids were on holiday with their parents. But they were nowhere to be seen. I heard at least 3 sets of parents saying their kids had come in and thrown up in their apartment. Judging by the state of the poolside toilets we could see where the rest of them had.

One 'cocky' lad challenged my husband to fight when he asked him to 'keep the noise down a bit'. He wasn't quite so cocky next day when his Mum and Dad were by the pool with him.

We wanted a place where there'd be kids for ours to meet, and to have a relaxing time in the sun. Despite the notices to say they weren't allowed, there were lads up to the age of about 20, jumping off the bridge bombing the kids in the pool and so may inflatables on the pool it'd be possible to walk across there. There were people kicking footballs into the pool and one large family spent their whole holiday throwing anyone they could pick up into the pool regardless of anyone trying to swim (round the airbeds) at the time.

The people opposite us had the added pleasure of the air hockey machine outside their apartment - and there'd be kids playing this at 2am, and next door they had a family who had a dog barking all night. (Even tho these weren't allowed either)This was before the music above blared at 5.30 am.

But if you are a teenager and you want to do what the hell you like, this is the place for you. If you are a parent who doesn’t care what your kids do, as long as they are off your hands, this is the place for you.

But if you want to stay in a place that is managed effectively, and to feel safe, choose somewhere else. We came back desperate for sleep and more tired than when we went.

I was really worried about staying here, after reading some bad reviews online, but I can honestly say I was totally happy with the apartment. We were right by the pool, which was great. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed to cook simple meals and the bedroom was fine - a large wardrobe with hangers (we may have been lucky with the hangers, they looked like someone had previosuly left them), 2 decent beds and a dressing table with large mirror. The bathroom was decent enough and I had no complaints whatsoever.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially on reception. There is a free bus from mon to sun every hour that takes you into town and to the beach, which was great.

The pool area was great, very clean, even though there were inconsiderates who left their fag ends and rubbish everywhere. The spash bar is great for a quick cheap snack and drink. It also shows films every evening.

For what we paid for this holiday, the hotel was everything we needed and more. Yes it was basic but it was clean, it was friendly and comfortable enough for me.

Me and my girlfriend arrived at Malibu Park at about 3pm. We was served very quickly by the staff at recieption but i was a little fed up that was expected to pay 30 euros each or £20 each even before we had seen our rooms incase anything was broken during our stay. We was about a 2 min walk away from the receiption and the pool which we did not mind.
Once we opened the door to our apartment I could not believe the the heat that hit us. I mean, it was 35 deg out side and we felt it even hotter inside the room. I went and saw the lady at the recieption to see if it was possible to get some type of air con and they said yes it is, 100 euros and 50 euros deposit which we could not afford. You could rent a fan for 25 euros and 5 euros deposit but i just think there is no point to that as you are only serculating hot air.
The pool was very clean and the food ok.
entertaint was very different. they were showing films on a projection screen that had only just come out over here. usually three films a night.
Drinks were cheap and also plenty of new sunbeds for people to use. The location was ok for young people but older members could find it a struggle as it is set on a fairly steep hill. I would visit the Malibu Park again as it was an enjoyable stay.

After reading reviews before going to Malibu Park, we were absolutley dreading this holiday and even phoned Thomas Cook to get this changed but one of their colleagues reassured us that she had stayed and was fine.
Getting there we were greeted by a freindley desk clerk and within minutes we were booked in and off to our room.
We held our breath before opening the door but very pleasantly surprised when we got a clean smell and a very clean and quite large apartment with a new cooker, kettle, pots and pans, cutlery, fridge, toaster, cups and glasses.
Then opened the curtains to a balcony with a table and 4 chairs which looked onto the childrens swimming pool and Splash Bar.
From 18:00 the splash Bar in Malibu Park had a childrens movie on everynight on a big screen {new releases}

We stayed at the Malibu Park appartments and all i can say is that I was very impressed considering the previous reports that I had read on here. I travelled with three of my mates on a lads holiday from 2nd - 10th July. The rooms were clean and basic which is all we needed, and the balcony we had waas massive! We didn't see that many cockroaches but apparently if you wanted the hotel staff would fumigate your room for you. We were self catering but chose to eat mainly at the newly opened Boat House which serves basic food at very good prices, and the owners, Steve and family, were very friendly and helpfull!!! The splash bar was also alright for burgers etc. and had some good films on through the evening as well as pool tables.

The hotel isn't to far away from Veronicas, about 5 euros in a taxi or a 10-15 minute walk down hill. We usually walked down to the bars and then got a taxi back later on because the hill was fairly steep and not what you needed after a night on the pop.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and i would not hesitate to visit thes appartments again in the future.

Having got a really cheap deal for this holiday I was quite wary abou visiting Malibu. Alot of the reports i'd read online were not impressive to say the least.
However, when we arrived I was completely impressed. The rooms and the balcony were clean, and had a fair amount of space.
The pool area was fantastic. The splash bar was a great place to go for breakfast or lunch with cheap food and drink being served until late at night.
Staff at the hotel were friendly (*esp the women in the minimarket).
Internet access and availability to Reps was also great.
The only qualm I had was that even though the reception boasts about exchanging Traveller's Cheques, it very often ran out of money. Meaning we had to either walk to the exchange shop down the hill (*which was closed all weekend) or to the nearest hotel/supermarket.
Overall I had an absolutely fantastic time at Malibu Park and would definately recommend it and go again!!! (*If they'd have me!)

Me and my family were extremely excited about going on holiday to Tenerife...we had never been to Tenerife before! When we arrived we were some what astonished by how many young 'adults' were present there. The reason why I have written adults in inverted - suggesting fake- commas is because that is what they exactly were...fake adults...who were rude, loud and totally reliable...to be extremely disturbing!!!

The morning around the pool side was fairly pleasant...the 'adults' were in bed with hangovers...but the afternoon was worsened when they arrived by the poolside. We felt uncomfortable and due to the lack of sleep from the noise the night before...the 'adults' up literally all night waiting to go out on a ‘boozer’! We were getting pretty fed up with it...when we eventually decided to complain to the rep's...well put it this way. There was no point...they came across as nice friendly people but in fact they where lazy, unreliable and more interested in what the 'adults' did the night previous!

Basically...we were disgusted with the hotel, rep’s and holiday overall...it is a shame, because it was our little 1 yr old's first ever holiday...and it was spoilt!!!!!!

I was not really looking forward to staying at malibu because of the reports i had read, but i was plesantly surprised! Our apartment had just been re-decorated, and was claen, although the room our friends had was in the middle of a building site, it really didnt matter, the work man were very considerate.
The hotel staff all seemed very plesant, apart from the woman in the shop, she didnt seem a fan of the english. The Reps were fantastic, so helpful and funny. The Splash bar was nice, cheap and cheerful, really good atmosphere. The entertainment wasnt great, but enough to keep you busy. I really enjoyed staying at malibu and i am already considering going back, later in the year.

The Hotel was in the middle of total renevation as far as we could tell, this didn't bother us that much apart from some noisy but quite friendly spanish work men!
We didn't try any food there but beer was ok, cheap enough and snacks looked fine!
The Hotel is hard to rate on location, depends what you want! Us as a young couple were close to Waterpark (like 2 minute walk) close to taxi rank, phones, buses, nice pubs and resteraunts (GO TO PINNOCHIOS) and were a 10 minute walk to some very decent, cheap bars, great restraunts and then another 10-15 mins walk to Veronicas centre. All nice walks, quiet easy with some big but managle hills!

Hotel staff were efficient quick, dealt with most any problem, and had good facilities like money change, you give them 50 euro trav cheque they give you 49 euro cash back, v good rate, internet use, decent cheap enough shop very convienient.
No entertainment of any LIVE variety, but plenty in resort areas from Karaoke, to games, to lively Veronicas, there was however NEW or just in CINEMA movies for free every nite on massive projector screen in the bar such as Shrek 2, Van helsing, Troy, Harry Potter etc etc.
I would reccomend anyone to go to the Malibu but be careful though as this place seemed to change into 18-18's mania within a day.

I say go earlyish June because there was bus loads of idiots turning up on the 26th June onwards while we were there not to bad, but nicer before they arrived! Malibu is a great place for the price and once it is all renevated it will be ace, 3 star + at the least!

We were a little wary about Malibu Park because we had managed to get such a cheap price on the holiday.
However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment had obviously just been done out as all the kitchen appliances appeared to be new and there was a faint smell of emulsion paint. I have read some of the other reports about the poor quality of the apartment experienced by others but we would not agree with that at all.

Some relatives of ours were stopping down nearer to the sea front so every day we walked down over the foot bridge and every night hobbled back after much had been imbibed (we were celebrating my cousin's 50th). We did not find the walk a problem and can only say that those who do must be very unfit!

The fact that there was apparently no entertainment didn't bother us as we were out all the time. We did sample a couple of snacks and drinks from the pool bar and found the staff very pleasant and obliging. The food was fine and the place very clean.

my boyfirend and i booked this holiday last minute and as it was the first holiday we have ever been on together we wanted to have a nice place to saty and Malibu certainly was that.

After reading some peoles reviews we were quite worried!
however malibu provided everything we needed.
the room was very clean and our apartment had a fantastic view over to the Aqua Park were we could watch the daily dolphin show which was great!!

Mablius location was perfect for us not right in the busy Veronicas area of Las Americas but this is reachable by foot if we felt like it. there is a great selcetion of shops, bars, and resturants surrounding this area. the free bus that runs every half an hour was very usful for going further into town and for those who didnt want to walk up the hill.

As for the hill we never found it a problem actually it was quite good to get a walk, however elderly might find it a bit steep. although on saying this there was elderly couples staying at the apartments when we were an they just used the free bus!!

Malibu had a lovely little bar and many sports facilities including table tennis and tennis courts.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday (apart from the 1 day of rain) and would definatley go back to Maliu. we would recommend Malbiu to any young couple.

The Malibu Park is rated as 3 star however it is nearer to a 2 star. We found the apartments to be very spacious, but basic. The bathroom was tatty with rusty fittings. The bedroom was fine lots of storage space and the children found the beds comfy. BUT my husband and I found the sofa bed and pull out bed very un-comfortable. The sofa bed mattress is leatherette, grubby and only 2 inches thick. The pull out bed was rusty had slats missing and made my back ache every morning. You would expect a decent nights sleep when staying in 3 star apartments but this is not the case at Malibu Park. The pool area was clean and the splash bar served decent food and showed several films each evening. We would not choose to return to these apartments as they are so basic and the location means lots of walking or paying for taxis. The maid did not clean the apartments only changed towels every other day and beds once in the week. The reception staff were ok and there was no entertainment what so ever.

having stayed at Malibu Park in october and november for the last 3 years, some of the reports refer to what can only be described as BRIT'S on HOL'S. They most certainally reflect a problem with our culture and what we expect from a holiday.

I have never paid more than £20 per person per day for 2 weeks at this resort, this includes my flights. If you ask they will knock off the transfers as I always pick up a car at the airport.

Accommodation: Basic to say the least, but plenty of space. I own timeshare across the road at Island Village and it cost more to rent my 2 weeks then to stay at Malibu, yes there is a noticble differance in
the 2 venues, but MP is alright. The service is very good overall. If you want something doing in spain you ask polietly, shouting and bawling at the reception desk or rep won't get you action. Remember you are in Spain it it ain't done today it might get done manyana

Over the last 3 years a vast amount of work has taken place to improve the resort, not to say it was bad before but it is getting better. Remember a number of appartments are privatley owned so you can't always garuntee who is using them, you can't blame the tour operator all of the time.

overall if you go at the right time of the season you will get a quite holiday at Malibu Park even as late as november the weather is good. I am trawing the net for my 2weeks in November so i will most certainally going back.

We found this place to be great that we have booked and pay to go again this year in Sept. All the shops cafes pubs all close by. My boyfriend and me finally arrived to Malibu Park at about 2am! We had to queue up to get our key and were told to have 30 euros each or £20 ready as a deposit to pay for in case anything was broken in the room.

Our room was miles away from reception, we were shown to the lift and told to go to level 2, the member of staff told us that the lift was very old and not used very often which made me weary, I didn't want it to break down at 2am!!! The hotel was all-open, not like a usual hotel it felt really eerie and I wouldn’t have felt safe walking by myself at night!

The heat from the room hit us as soon as we got in. My boyf couldn't open the patio door so went to reception he came back and removed a lump of wood from the floor, there was no lock just a lump of wood to keep the door shut!!!

The location was in an awkward place, to get into the town you had to walk down a steep hill and coming back up at night with a full belly was a nightmare! The location wouldn’t have been good for disabled people because of the steep hills also there were lots of stairs in the hotel. Although we were at the back of aqua park which was quite handy!

The room wasn't particular clean; a lot of things were broken such as the handle and door of the wardrobe. The bathroom was disgusting, especially the bath and shower head it was absolutely rotten, and the toilet kept flushing by itself during the night. We had to get a maintance man called into the room to put in new light bulbs as the others had blown and I’m sure they wouldn’t have been replaced unless we reported it, outside on the patio a big strip of wood was coming away from the wall and had nails hanging from it which I found extremely dangerous, what if we had children with us? He eventually removed it and replaced it with a new piece. Even the maintance man admitted how disgusting the rooms were and said they should be stripped out and re-fitted.

My boyf even complained to our holiday rep and said could we move to another room, but he said it wasn't possible, and that "what do we expect for a cheap holiday"? I honestly thought it would be a nice hotel as it was 3* and I’d seen pictures on the Internet, but how wrong was I!!!!!

The pool area was absolutely diabolical, the vast majority of sun beds were broken, and the toilets by the pool in the ladies had the locks broken on the doors so you had to walk to reception to go to the toilet. There was a bridge separating the shallow end from the deep end and kids of about 14 and 15 we jumping off which was so dangerous and no one told them to stop which I think was wrong!!!!

There was no entertainment at this hotel what so ever, so we walked to the town find our own.

Never ever in all my life will I return to Malibu Park, it was such a disappointment, even other people by the pool agreed with us and said their rooms were just as bad as ours, they had never stayed in a such a shambles of a hotel before, I really couldn’t wait to get on the plane home!

When we arrived at the hotel there was a long queue of people waiting for their keys. Once we had our key we went and found our room location, we found that our room was in the underneath of the resort. When we walked in the room was dirty, very basic. It was dirty because there was hairs on the floor from the previous people where its not been cleaned.

In the bathroom there was filth wiped on the walls. It was basic because you had to pay euros to use the television, there was no kettle.

We will not be going back to the resort again!

Simple accommodation, a great base for a cheap holiday, in a good area (if you can manage the hill - I could and I'm no marathon runner!).

Cleanliness? There were fag buts and hair around the pool - not nice. But our room was clean enough, though some cockroaches (sorted out once a week) and good cleaner - I guess we were lucky! But on arrival, our fridge was completely knackered and rusty (not good for self catering) and the shower was broken off - we complained and they replaced the fridge and a plumber sorted the shower.

Had a great view of the dolphins in the aquapark, but also on the same floor as the pool/bar with bedroom right next to the footpath. No aircon here so you either have windows ajar and put up with the noise (especially bad when people wheel their suitcases 4 ft from your head on arrival/departure nights) - or closed and sweat it out! Wish they'd sort out the stereo in the entertainment bar - they showed some good current films but (1) they were bootlegged and (2) the stereo was so distorted you actually couldn't make out the sound track so we gave up watching them! Still, they played them til 2am so we could listen to the bassline from bed :o(

LOCATION - at the top of a hill (and I mean hill) about 10 min walk from the main resort so in a quiet area. I'm not fit and got a bit puffed out but felt good at the exercise! Visit the white windmill restaurant - right on your doorstep and absolutely fantastic, our best meal EVER, ANYWHERE!!!! Chinese at the foot of the apartments was good too, very friendly.

Malibu is at the nicer end of Playa de las Americas (Fanaba/Torviscas) so you can choose to walk into the notorious Veronicas area (18-30 & v boozey) if you want, or it's far enough away to avoid it for the whole stay.

We had a great fortnight in Tenerife and will go again - possibly even to the Malibu Park, but I'd be very picky about my room when booking and ask not to be on pool-level!

When we arrived we found an infestation of cockroaches so we complained only to be asked how much we had paid for the holiday. Then we were told there are a lot of people here who have paid a lot more than us, so we cant move you (my friends were staying here so I
