| said: We have just returned from a week's stay at Laguna Park 2, and lets just say never again, first room we were given had mould everywhere and smelt of damp, so went back to reception to change and was given a slighty better one !!
Reception staff not very welcoming!! The location was at the top of a very steep hill and was worth every penny in a taxi to get back, this made the hotel start at the top working down hill to the pool, so getting back up was a bit of a slog.
Cleaner came in twice only changed towels once. Didn't have much to do with the staff at the hotel as they didn't smile much so abit unwelcoming,
The good things about the hotel are the swimming pool very big, and some of the entertainment shows that where bought in, but the karaoke after the shows left a lot to be desired !!
All in all for a cheap holiday its what we expected but to pay more in peak season I would have moved hotels or got a plane back home first before staying there !!
If you've booked this hotel change it and pay a little bit extra it'll be worth it as you dont want a bad holiday.

| said: We arrived at the Laguna Park 2 after having booked into the Malibu Park but on arrival were told they were full! We had booked a studio apartment, but when we got there refused to stay in it as it was drab, dirty and the bathroom was mouldy. We were given the choice of two one bed apartments (at an additional cost of 70 euros for the week) and choose the best of a bad job!! The tables and surfaces were dirty - we cleaned them ourselves before we put anything away. The views from the balcony were fab - pool and sea. The size of the apartment was ample for 4 people, but it was "tired". The beds were particularly "lumpy", the seats in the living area looked so dirty that we did not sit on them. The shower was good, but, if there was more than one person using it after another the hot water would run out!!
In fairness to this accomodation, the maid service was good and work was ongoinbg to revamp the apartments which is very much needed.
We didn't eat or drink in the complex and neither did we sample any of the entertainment which was shown nightly, so no comments can be made in respect of this.
The staff were ok.
The location of this hotel feels like it is on top of Mount Tiede!!! If you are in an apartment near the pool, you will have to walk down to the apartment, back up to reception, to go down to the resort, to come back up to the complex, to go back down to your apartment!!!!! Not good for those with mobility problems.
Would not recommend this complex in its current state.

| said: After waiting at reception for over an hour to check in, we finally got the key to our room and started the trek down hill to our apartment. On inspection, the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould, there was a hole in the bath that had been filled with a carrier bag, and the shower was held to the wall with sellotape. So back up the hill I went to change rooms. The second room was less mouldy, but the beds felt damp and the pillows were lumpy.
The maids came in 5days a week and the cleanliness was quite good. No cockroaches in the room itself, but plenty to greet you as you stepped outside.
The food, well, lets just say if you like no variety and you like to eat it cold, then your in the right place. We tried the restaurant at different times of day but it was always cold. We even had to eat out on 3 occasions as the food was inedible.
The evening entertainment is the only thing I can really say the holiday had going for it.
We were never informed before leaving the UK that our hotel was in the middle of nowhere and at the top of "cardiac" hill. We ended up walking about 8 miles a day to get into the main town and back. After 3days we gave in to the walk back and caught a taxi for 6 euros.
Some staff were friendly enough, but you had to wait ages for a drink in the bar as a couple of the waiters would stand around chatting rather than serving.
I certainly would not return to this hotel. It most definitely was a holiday from hell!!

Didn't see any cockroaches, a few stray cats but they didnt bother us.
The apartments were kept fairly clean, but the beds were! Lets just say uncomfortable.
Entertainment at night was ok-ish, something on everynight, good for a laugh.
Now for the bad news.......the location.
No doubt youve all read the reviews about "cardiac" hill? Well trust me its a killer. Once you reach the summit to reception its more steps and ramps down to the apartments.
Take a few extra euro's and grab a taxi.

| said: Booked a last minute cheapy 2 weeks in advance, paying £780 for a week for the four of us.
Apt was very tired and needed updating, there was no kettle or toaster altho these could be hired. We hired the TV for 20 euros altho hardly any channels worth watching. The wardrobes had things like 'Gaz luvs Tracey' etched into the wood which was tatty.
The bathroom was old and had a rusty edged bath and a ceiling that was MINGING and covered in black mould so not very nice.
We didn't bother asking to move as we had a great location on the ground floor near the pool so really handy. At the end of the day it was only a base and you do get what you pay for!
It was basic but quite clean with maid service changing bins and loo roles regularly. Towels and sheets changed once.
The hill was quite a killer esp with a 4 year old who found it a struggle walking up and down it every day for our evening meal. I would prefer to be nearer the beach next time.
Taxis varied between 3 and 5 euros.
Lots of good restaurants so plenty of choice with kiddies meals and set meals.
Entertainment on during the day and in the evening which was okay. Kids enjoyed the mini disco.
All in all a good holiday but from the outside the complex looks good as it is recently painted however the rooms are old and dated. Saw no cockroaches in the apartment and only two in the grounds and a couple of cats.

| said: Having been here before, I knew it would be great for the kids with plenty to do on site, as well as having the Laguna swimming Pool, there was basket ball, football, pool, ping pong, archery a play castle and crazy golf.
Rooms were basic but ok things like TV fans, toasters & iron had to be rented, the maids were in most days and cleaned up.
There is a well stocked super market on site, and the bar and show lounge has something on every night, the views from the terraces are superb as you look down on the sea and the beach front hotels, great at night when there are lit up and if you are lucky to see a fireworks display! There is a good view from the restaurant which is situated over the pool ‘Tracy Island style’ tho I did find the food to Spanish.
Ideal situation if you like the Aqua Park, it is just over the road, a 30 minute walk out the bottom of the complex, through the garden, and straight down will get you to Fanabe beach and this is as nice as Los Christianos Beach, there is a free bus service from the reception area that runs between this beach and back, it will take an hour to walk up the hill!
If you do miss the bus and you are tired or have had to much to drink, get a taxi back as the roads are tricky in the dark.

The cooking facilities were enough to have an enjoyable meal. The beds were thin but nothing to complain about. Balcony was well positioned with great views.
Rooms were at the bottom of a hill from the reception but are near to the pool which we felt was well positioned.
All in all we had a fab time.
Weather was brill for a december holiday.

| said: Well, all we can say is looks can be deceiving! from the outside, this hotel looks nice but the rooms are disgusting!
We arrived at 11pm and after a long journey, we were faced with 4 flights of stairs and a big hill to get our suitcases down (the only lift be right at the bottom and that was out of order!). At the end of our holiday, we then had to get them back up in the heat! When we got into our room, we ere met by several cockroaches and holes in the walls where they came through all week! The beds were damp and the pillows flat. We did have a regular cleaner, but they were in our room 2 hours early on our day of departure ushering us out.
The hotel had only one place to eat of an evening and that only supplied a poor buffet which cost 12 euros each without drinks.
The pool was nice however we were there in March and struggled to get a sun bed every day so can imagine it is hideous in the summer.
The walk to the beach and resort is down a very steep hill and therefore the walk back is not for the faint hearted particularly in the heat. A taxi back tended to cost around 6 euros as the taxi drivers always take the long way round.
If on a young and lively holiday, as we were, you will find yourself paying this twice a day as the walk to Veronicas and Starcos is at least 20 minutes.
We will definitely not be staying there again!!

| said: I have been to the canaries numerous times and I have to admit these where the worse apartments I've ever stayed in. The there wasn't one floor tile that wasn't cracked the bath had rust and mould all the way round it, I didn't cook once as the kitchen was dire the cooker was ancient and the fridge was again all rusted round the door and handle there was a couple of knifes and spoons and 2 cups and glasses but I wasn't brave enough to use them, however ther was a microwave which was clean. In the bedroom the wardrobe had no hangers and it smelt of dampness the beds were camp bed that are usually used for kids under 12 years old and the pillows were like pieces of foam stuffed into an old bed sheet.
The way the apartments are built its like a village but it doesn't work as most apartments can see straight into the room infront of them. Anyway I've went on enough all I'll say is if you can get another apartment for a few pound more I would book that instead.

| said: We have just returned from the Laguna Park 2....
Well what can I say, the rooms are disgusting! We had 13 cockroaches in our room, in the beds, on the sofas, in the fridge ect..... there was mold all up the walls!! The beds were metal legs with a hardboard and just a matress, and I sure there were things in the matresses as we were itching all the time!!! The day we checked out of our room I realised that I had left my coat in the wardrobe so I went to reception and explaned what I had done and they did nothing, they would not even give me the key to go back to the room and have a look, they said it had gone. I know that my coat was in that room and they would not give it me back...!!!
You need a oxygen mask when you stay there!! That's all I can say.... there were at least 200 steps to get to the pool, there were lifts to take you from the pool to the steep hill in the hotel.. but as they kept breaking down we did not use them!!!
The hill... well even the buses had a job to get up them!! I'm young and I couldn't even cope so I couldn't even imagine how the older people could cope!!!
If you are staying at this hotel be warned to have a holiday from hell thats all I can say!!!!

| said: Read the reviews and wondered what we had let ourselves in for!!! Our room was basic but clean and the beds were firm (no springs sticking out).
They look to be updating the place as were painting etc. Yes the walk up to reception was steep (we were in row R right by the pool so had to walk bottom to top) but this complex is not the only one on the mountain side. The view is excellent.
There were a few cockroaches but it is a hot country and about 5 cats but if you leave them they leave you. If you can't face "cardiac hill" there is a hotel bus for a euro return (timetable from reception) or get a taxi up for 4 euros (6 on a Sunday).
Don't book excursions with your tour operator, it's much cheaper through Direct Excursions (should get a leaflet when you get to Tenerife airport or their office is in Fanabe Shopping centre opposite Hotel Jacaranda).
The food was fine, not cold, and different soup, main courses and puddings every night.

There is nothing to worry about did not see one cockroach and I was looking form them.
Hotel is clean. Did not have any food as we do not like stopping in hotel but the food looked ok and was quite cheap. The dining room had an amazing view of the surrounding area. Yes the hill is a little steep but you get used to it we climbed this 14 times in 7 days did not think about getting a taxi. Felt a lot fitter after 1 week.
If you have booked do not worry it is fine. we have travelled all over the world and are very experienced travellers and we have seen a lot worse.
For the amount it costed I was very satisfied.

| said: Before we travelled to Laguna Park 2 I read some of the reviews and was quite worried what the Apartments would be like. But I was really really pleased, the rooms were basic but clean and for the amount of time you spend in them, they were fine.
The cleaners came in everyday and were very polite and hardworking. For the week we were there we only saw 1 cockroach, totally the opposite of what some people were saying - but we did not go looking for them !!!!
There were a few stray cats hanging about, but if you didnt encourage them, they did not come near you.
The food was great in the half board restuarant, and the pool bars snacks were cheap and nice. All the staff were very polite in the bars and the evening entertainment was great.
It was good fun for both kids and adults, there was a quiz and bingo every night, and then a good family show to follow 10/10 .
The hill was a bit tough pushing a buggy, but if you take your time its okay. It only takes 5 mins to get to a strip of bars and restuarants which are great, from footy to food you are sorted on there.
Lovely place called Chaplins on this strip which serves really lovely food, and makes the kids really welcome. I would deffo come back.

| said: Just back from the most fantastic 2 week holiday. Place not at all suitable for anyone with mobility problems and a bit of a slog if you are carting a pushchair, otherwise its great.
Got a cheap last minute deal and after reading some reviews we geared up for the worst. Our apartment was in Q row at the bottom of the 'ramp' and 2 seconds from the pool so was great although it did mean we didnt get a view - who cares, were hardly in the room. Our apartment was pretty clean and definitely no mould. Cooking facilities are extremely limiting - oven has no shelves and very little in the way of utensils but am sure if we had asked we could have got some essential basics (like a bread knife lol). We didnt plan on cooking so didnt bother us. We had fresh bread rolls every day from the on-site supermarket - cheap and really tasty. Clean towels and sheets (told the cleaner not to bother changing sheets since it was too hot to ever use them). We had lovely firm beds as well. Cleaner was in almost every day and really pleasant and cheery.
Pool is fantastic and masses of loungers. You pay for the mats and shades but nearly every place charges for them. Staff in the main bar were fantastic - Pitu is the best ever barman, always making us laugh with his antics. Drinks are not overpriced and meals were pretty good value and reasonable quality. Sol (entertainments) works her socks off, is sooo friendly and never hassles - can't remember once when she wasn't smiling. Entertainment varies from parrot and snake shows to Blues Brother act - nightly quiz is a laugh as well. Daytime entertainment is all free so if you fancy rifle shooting, archery, scuba diving costs nothing to have a go. Theres also a book swop which is 1 euro per book or two if you dont have one to swop. Yes the ramp is hard work, but if you take your time it doesnt kill you - same with the hill up to the complex and taxi's are only 3 or 4 euro's and there were always some outside reception. If you go into town before 1pm - there is a shortcut from the pool (near the castle) but they shut gates after deliveries so watch the time.
If you dont want to stray too far then halfway down the hill, swing left and there are a handful of bars/eating places and also a SPAR shop if you want to buy british. The Phoenix is not to be missed for fantastic food and 5 star service at 3 star prices. The Malibu is a little further on and breakfast is only 1.80 euro's and is pretty good.
There are cats around but they never really bothered us much and in the whole 2 weeks only saw 5 different cats in the whole complex. There are a few cockroaches if you want to search for them - but then, who doesnt have spiders and flies in the uk, they are the 'insect' of the area. I'd say to anyone to book it and if you do get a room that really is bad (guess there must be a few somewhere) - ask for another room or speak to your rep. Unless it is peak time and they have no other rooms, they will move you. If the most basic equipment is missing - ask for it.
The fabric seating was a bit grubby looking but plenty folk were sitting on them in white clothes and didn’t appear have dirty bums when they got up so I guess its mainly old stains. A few cigarette ends around the huge pool area but I wouldn’t say the place was littered with them. Massive Pool was spotless and we never saw a lot of litter lying anywhere.
We expect to get what we pay for and as far as I am concerned we got a lot more. Were we just lucky, did we only meet other lucky people – maybe – think we will be back next year to check.

Stayed on a self catering basis - thankfully because my family order food for takeaway and I can only describe it as awful although the food at the snack bar at the pool was grand.
Apartments are basic but adequate and the cleaners do do their best to keep it clean however the complex could do with a sprucing up and painting.
Yes the complex is up a hill but depending on which hill you take one is easier than the other but a taxi will only cost 4 euro up and it is a pleasant walk down be careful not to slip on the pavements and be careful with children crossing the bridge over the motorway and especially the zebra crossings as many of the drivers fail to stop.
The staff were ok - some nicer than others but then again that is the same all over the world - however the reception staff were not always helpful and sometimes did not want to be bother.
The entertainment within the complex was excellent and Stacey provides great entertainment for all. However more could be done for kids but in saying that there is a great bouncy obstacle course which is put into the pool for the kids a couple of days a week and mini golf, table tennis and tennis is available for older children but not much for the younger kids.
The pool is fabulous and plenty of room around it however be prepared to rise early to get a sunbed and if necessary an umbrella if you go down after 10.00 o'clock you have no luck.
Overall you get what you pay for and considering this was a cheap late getaway it was ok but I would not be in a hurry back.
A final word of warning if you do not like cats then do not go there are loads of them as well a cockroaches although none in our apartments.
On a postive point, there is a laundery availabe and with small kids this was an added bonus - tokens are 5 euro and available a reception.

As for the pool it was the biggest we have been in, clean tidy every thing a family wants, great food at pool side, with two teenagers it was ideal for them on a night the entertainment was great and more importantly it was very safe to leave them with there friends, while me and my wife go out and enjoy the night life.
I had heard the cockroaches were everywhere, what a load of rubbish a few on the paths as any normal holiday resort.
The staff and cleaners were very helpful; the so called heart attack hill would only kill you if you ran up and down it in 35 degree heat 100 times on the trot.
Taxi’s were available all day, 4 euros back, a nice walk down its not as bad as they say.
All round fab place its that good we are off again next year, enough said, many thanks Laguna.

The apartments are really clean, maids came every day apart from Thursday and Sunday. There are a few little buggers around but we got spray and sprayed our room every night before going out and it kept them away. I have had alot more basic places than this before as got a sitting area with TV, bathroom with bath and bedroom which had comfy beds no springs coming out and had alot of storage space.
Pool was the biggest pool I have ever had and was clean, was a lot of free activities in one section of the pool which everyone can take part in so thats good.
There is a bit of a hill down to the beach but I would'nt call it a cardiac hill and if your going into Veronicas yes you do need to get a cab which will be about 4 euros.
So listen anyone who's booked to stay here you will have a good time.

Stayed half board and food was ok , however not much variation and same stuff appeared for several days in different disguises.. chicken, then chicken soup !
Lets be realisitic this place is basic, and you get what you pay for, however both of our neighbouring appartments were broken into during the week we stayed and we were woken up by police on another night.
Staff were all very polite and room cleaned as per published rota... however reception staff are worst I have ever experienced, not interested in anything said to them and would walk off in mid conversation.
Overall pay extra £20/£30 per person and stay somewhere else ! (it will be worth it)

Cockroach city I thought was just as apt! The apartments were basic to say the least and not very clean, I could have lived with that but the cockroaches was a different matter they were everywhere.
The entertainment was ok.
The weather was a complete disappointment barely reaching 70 degrees and thick grey cloud every day until at least 2pm if not all day came back whiter than I went !!
All in all a huge let down from start to finish....never again !!!

Our apartment in general okay, plenty of hot water. Did see alot of cockroaches and put a towel under the door at night.
Pool area nice and plenty of free entertainment during the day. Pool bar and top restaurant good value for money. Not ideal for anyone with walking difficulties and very steep, excellent views from top bar and walking distance to town.
We enjoyed the week, however the majority of people we spoke to had complained about their rooms, so I think we were lucky. Overall value for money, if you just use your room as a base and nothing else.

| said: Booked allocation on arrival for las americas and allocated this apart hotel in Costa adeje, reps told us that las americas is the general area and that 95% of allocation on arrival go to this complex?
Requested to be moved however were offered a hotel in north of island for an extra 450 euros (rip off) and refused. hotel rating is a joke as rooms were filthy, oven knob markings were worn away and you couldnt tell if oven was on or off unless you touched the rings (ouch) springs were protruding through matresses and pillows were dirty, lumpy, split with foam sticking out and about 15 years old?
Bathroom taps and hoses were rusty basically the rooms are very run down, smelly and in need of a complete revamp! Bed linnen changed once a week and towels twice a week.
Pool was nice size and apparently heated saltwater (according to the signs on site)however absouloutly freezing. Main entertainment started at 11pm each night (no good if you have small children)Location is up cardiac hill - keeps you fit and works off the greasy cold breakfasts.
Although love Canaries would not stay here again if you paid me too.

When we woke up a few hours later reality hit and I realised what a dump it was. Luckily I had packed washing liquid and bacterial wipes.
I washed enough cups, plates and cutlery to get by for the week but when I washed the cutlery holder I was very nearly sick with the gungy mess inside. This put me off even making a cup of tea.
We used the room as a place to store our things and sleep and went out every morning returning to get changed and going out again at night. The entertainment in the bar area was on a couple of nights very good and the main area was very good for entertainment as well.
We walked there and back twice a day and at the end of the week I felt very fit and toned, so great if you want a bit of exercise.
I would never return to Laguna Park 2 unless it had a complete make over first.

What a dump- worst hotel ever been to. It was apparent all Airtour guests went to this "hotel" and then they made further profit by people paying to move. My husband is 76 and my brother-in-law has already had 1 heart attack and is 67 - surely Airtours knew this.

We could only have one bath every 3 hours as the hot water did not refil. The matress had springs coming through. However everyone was very pleasant and helpful.
The food although limited was very tasty and there were lovely views from the resturant which was very spacious. It was a pleasure to eat there.
Entertainment was fine although venturing into the town was a treck - not for the unfit. Very much a place for a base rather than centring your holiday around the complex.
Book tours int the town they are a lot cheaper.

I was put off by some but decided to come anyway and we were pleasently surprised. Yes the hotel is up the hill, but if you know Tenerife, you will know about the hills and taxi's from PDLA are only 4-6 euro.
The complex is quite old so don't expect the smell of paint, and it is 2*, so you get what you expect but the rooms were clean, the reception and pool side were clean also. The cafe at the pool wasn't the best but the pool was very big with pleny of sun loungers to go round (even in the afternoon)! Music played most of the day at the pool and the offer of football, table tennis etc was always available.
There are cats and cockroaches a plenty but again it's Tenerife we're talking about. We had only 1 cockroach in our room the whole week (that we saw)!
I would definately come back to Laguna Park 2, it was just what we needed, beds and a shower - nothing fancy.

The patio door was so bad they were able to lift it out of the lock. We then changed apartments but again the door was the same.
I didn't sleep for a full week as I was so scared at night. I needed another holiday when I got home. Airtours refused to change us to another hotel.
The pool bar food was good. The pools were beautiful, but the whole complex needs updating. It would also be better if the 18-30 holiday makers were at one end of the complex and the families at the other.
It is hard to sleep with music going all night.

| said: We booked our holiday on a don't know where you're going basis until you get there. Was disappointed to find out it was Laguna Park 2 due to past press regarding Security problems, but hoped things had changed.
On arrival when checked into the room was very disappointed. The rooms smelt of stale smoke and unclean. Cobwebs, dead insects and old dust was lying about. The room itself was in need of a good makeover, furniture was falling to bits and old. Patio doors looked like they had been tampered with in the past with a crow bar.(but staff seem oblivious to any past problems - however, other people seem to confirm a common theme and our initial worries.) Was able to hire a safety deposit box in the wardrobe, but felt totally at ease knowing it was secured to fresh air! Guess the thought of carrying it down/up them hills though may put off a prospective burglar.
We booked half board so a kitchen was a nice surprise and it was good to have a fridge as you needed something to keep the water cool as the rooms were stifling hot and no facility of air conditioning was available - just fans to hire @ 10 euros per week. There was a kettle which you could use on the stove but every time we used it the fuses blew in the room. There was a tv but you had to pay for it and you could also hire other items, but what a cheek! We ended up sleeping in the living room, as the beds were so uncomfortable. Also sprayed cockroach spray before went out each night and found dead cockroaches and insect when come home - so felt better no crawlies about in my bed.
We did complain and looked at other rooms - but they were all as bad. Very much in need of redecorating - fumigating - tlc!!!
On the positive side though the balcony was nice and the view was lovely - sea, sunset etc. The shower was powerful but apparently if you were further down the hill the showers were very weak.
The rest of the complex was ok, food was not too bad, pool was lovely - very big, freezing cold water but once your body got over the shock it was nice to cool you down. The staff were ok, not overfriendly or rude - just ok.
Now to the hills - well did our legs and feet hurt or what. Felt that each time I went down the hill to eat I worked it off just by walking back to the room. Felt fitter I guess, definately not for the unfit. Did feel the hills were extreme but had to live with it as part of tenerife. The lift was a great idea, shame it was only at the bottom of the hill though.

Our room was very clean and spacious, we saw a few cockroaches outside, but some rooms are provided with
repellant, we brought our own and sprayed our door and
patio and didnt see one for the rest of the holiday!
When we saw the pool we were chuffed to bits (its huge!) You can go down in the afternoon and still be guaranteed a sun lounger. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels were changed every other. bedding was changed 1-2 times per week.
The bar is fairly cheap and entertainment was brilliant from quiz to bingo, kareoke and excellent shows. Yes there is a bit of a walk up and down the hill but if your fit and healthy this shouldnt bother you, and when it does its only a few euro's.

| said: I visited Laguna Park 2 with my sister in August 2005 and I can't say that I didn't enjoy it. As we were half board we ate in the hotel everynight and the food was rather good. There was alot to choose from.
When we arrived we were a little put off with the hill that it's on but tried not to let it bother us. The rooms were basic but catered for our needs as it had a fridge, beds, shower etc. The only problem we found with our room was there was a few too many cockroaches. We sprayed under the cooker everynight and when we swept under it there was a few dead ones every morning. Other than that can't complain.
Although it claims to be in Las Americas some could argue that it was nearer Costa Adeje. However it was only in between 4-6Euro to veronicas in a taxi. It was in a great location to the Aquapark (2mins walk), Skypark (amazing you must do it!) and the shopping centre.
The staff we found really friendly, especially the night staff on the reception. The cleaners were friendly and done a good enough job of the rooms for us. Pool side bar staff could have smiled a bit more but atleast they were fast.
We never used the hotel entertainment facilities so can't really comment on them.
I would visit this hotel again but although I don't have any major faults with it, it wouldn't be my first choice.

| said: Myself and my husband returned on Friday night from this hotel, booked one week before we departed. We were never told about the hills we would have to climb only found out by reading the reviews on here before we went and had already booked. You have not only the slopes and steps in the hotel which believe me there are many to deal with! There is also the three bridges you have to walk up and down every time you wanted to go into the town, which I will also say is not in Las Americas but Costa Adeje, but saying that I would say nearly every day we did do all the slopes and steps maybe some times twice a day, as we are not the sort that just like to sit around the pool all day.
What ever the faults I have to say we did have a lovely time, even if the rooms were not has clean has we expected, don’t know what the maids did when they cleaned the rooms, I think all they ever did was empty the bin and make the beds, and that was not every day. Sheets were only changed once, and towels were not changed for four days and then when only complaing in reception.
The place was very unkempt, could do with a very good clean, and in need of new furniture. Microwave still had spilled food left in it crockery was dirty, but we never ever used any of that has we were half board.
The food the first week was not too bad, but I am sure the chef changed for the second week as it was terrible, not a lot to choose from, breakfasts were the best. The plates and knifes and forks were dirty, still had food left on them, so lots of people checking before using.
Not enough staff for the size of the hotel, only 2 were ever in the dining room felt sorry for them they were rushed of their feet. One some times maybe two in the pool snack bar, where food was always cold.
You have to pay for everything sun canopies, TV, kettle, toaster, fan even the courtesy bus was 1 euro per person, and with your evening meal you had to pay for a drink has all the drink machines were covered up even water had to be paid for, which I think is wrong for half board. At least you would have thought tea coffee and water would have been in with the meal it was for breakfast.
Lots were complaing about cockroaches, hubby saw a blackclock during the night in the bathroom, so kept my shoes on after that. We did see them on the complex along with the cats, which did not bother me, I am not a cat lover, but I felt that sorry for them I started fetching food from the diner for them, wrong I know some people might say, but they looked starving.
We were on the higher rooms, but I know some on the ground floor did have problems with the cats coming into their rooms if the doors were left open one family awoke during the night to a cat fight in their bathroom.
I loved the pool really large and plenty of room, sun beds were quiet easy to get before midday, though the second week we noticed a lot were saving beds and not using them, so there were a lot of towels getting sun burned.
Would not go back to this hotel because of the hills slopes and steps, this could be a lovely place if only the cleanliness was improved, but like I said it did not stop us from enjoying our hols.
The touts were really annoying, and rude to you if you just ignored them, they are every way you turn and even follow you about, and even the restaurant staff from other places are stood outside waiting to grab you to eat in their restaurant.
One place I would recommend eating in is Chaplin’s. One not to go in is Charlie’s run by English with English food the worst we have ever had.
A holiday I say is what you make it yourself, so if you are going to this hotel and are fit and do not mind hills, slopes a steps I am sure you will have a good time. As I said it is not the cleanest of hotels, but I am sure you can make do for the time you are there, plenty to do out side of the place, market twice a week on a Thursday and a Saturday.

Our room was filthy there were two dead cockroaches under the oven (and they're still there now. Our bedroom smelled like the mattress had been urinated on, I asked for them to be changed but only the sheets were and a lot of air freshener sprayed to try and mask the stench. Maid service 5 times a week! Not quite sure what she actually did because the floors were never cleaned once and I had to ask for sheets changed and fresh towels. Shower fitting kept flying off the wall and spraying half the floor before you could catch it.
As for the pool I can safely say I never even stuck my big toe in let alone allow my kids in after I saw the green algae on the bottom.
Location? up a small mountain, my calf muscles are developed nicely.
How Airtours can award this as a 3 key accommodation is an absolute disgrace. I booked on internet with only three weeks to departure and had my reservations when I read some of the comments on here, but some were slightly reassuring. However upon arrival I can honestly say what a devastation it was to see the state of place.
We most certainly will not be going anywhere near the place again. Lastly this hotel is not Las Americas as stated it is clearly Costa Adeje.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
The food was edible but wasn't great, it was only ever warm and there was never a huge choice but it was fine for the week that we spent there.
The location of the hotel wasn't great as it was at the top of a hill but in Tenerife what do you expect, taxis are easy to come by and relatively cheap!!
There were a number of activities available in the day time but the things going on in the night time made you leave the hotel and go in to town it was awful!!! oh well!!!
I would visit again but would probably stay self catering, overall it was a brilliant holiday!!!

We were pleasantly surprised although it was more of a family hotel a group of lads from london shouldnt really have liked it but we did and we wanted to stay.
The staff were always friendly to us and the maids were round to our room every morning, the reps or should I say rep was always helpful and guys your in a hot country and if your not expecting there to be cockroaches then your dreaming!! Thats like saying you wold be shocked to see wax in a wax museum..lol!!
Pool was massive and the food was alright down at the bar by the pool I mean. We always found a sunlounger with no bother and the only thing that really bothered me was the fact that alot of people from outside of the hotel were using our pool.
I realise were young lads so the hills didnt really bother us that and the fact that we got a cab to everywhere anyway.

Just to put potential guests at ease if you have already booked your hol and are reading the reviews. We stayed half board and the food was fine, I think it's always a gamble with buffet style restaurants but be reassured it was clean and neither of us suffered from a poorly tummy.
The rooms were basic but clean. The location as others have noted is steep but we survived. A cab is approx 4 euros. We had fabulous time just chilling by the pool, which was huge and safe for kids to play in.
It was just a last minute deals for us but I would return again sometime.

Peace of mind knowing that your children are well looked after. The day time activities for the kids are great the reps come around asking if any of the children would like to go and join in for agame of footie.
At night the reps are brilliant entertaining the kids. Its good knowing that you can just sit and relax and let other people look after your kid safely. I would go back time and time again.
You've got the Aquapark just over the road and I would recommend going there. Every time I go to Tenerife I go there, the dolphin show is out of this world.
I've booked to go back this year and I am taken my nephew as well.
Look forward to seeing every one there

The entertainment is fantastic all of the reps and staff are very friendly. There is and arcade room for the kids with a widescreen showing UK TV shows.
The rooms are very nice not to small but just right for families although I wouldn't recommend this property to people who don't like walking up hill.
The pool is very big the food is nice too it is a nice place to visit and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
If you want a fantastic holiday it is also just next to the aquapark which is great (but wear lots of suntan lotion if you do decide to go there as I burned really quick) but every one should go.

| said: Went to Laguna Park with the family, including two infants under the age of two. Found the stairs and slope down to the apartment extremely difficult, especially with two buggies. The brochure only said unsuitable for people with walking difficulties so we were disappointed from the off.
The rooms were cleaned 5 days a week and the cleaning staff were very friendly. The bar staff were also friendly with the exception of one certain individual who was extremely ignorant. Having two children so young meant that we were unable to catch any of the entertainment as it didn't start til 23:00
Found the food in the hotel to be a little uninteresting and fairly expensive compared to some of the restaurants in the San Eugenio area which was just down the bottom of the steep hill.
The hill was ok going down, however a taxi would be recommended if you don't like long walks uphill.
The biggest complaint we had was the state of the rooms. In our room one of the electrical sockets was broken exposing bare wires. Also the cooker would not work. These were reported to the rep and nothing was done to rectify this. In the apartment next door the lock on the patio door was broken beyond all repair and yet again nothing was done about it.
We also found the fact that you had to hire a kettle and toaster while self catering extremely cheeky.
Overall would love to go back to Tenerife however not in Laguna Park II

| said: I stayed at the Laguna Park 2 on a self-catering basis, but found it a bit of a cheek that they charged to HIRE a kettle and a toaster.
The rooms were very clean, I couldnt say how many times the maid had been, as I was hardly in the apartment, so I never took much notice.
I ate a couple of times in the hotel and found the food ok, well presented and the service was fine.
The location of the hotel was disappointing. Being right at the top of a hill, the description by all the brochures say P-D-L-A but as the water park is actually in Costa Adeje and the hotel is beyond that, then really the hotel is in Costa Adeje.
It cost 5 euro from Veronicas/patch to the hotel, so that wasnt too bad.
The staff at the hotel were great, Spencer the dj/compere was great and frank (Pitu was his nickname) who worked the bar was very friendly, and was always ready to serve you.
The entertainment was ok for what I saw, a drag act called bitter and sweet, 3 female dancers( dont sit too close to the front as you may get dragged up on stage, (which I found out, too late)
Would I visit this hotel? yes and no, I wouldnt stay there, purely because of the location, everything else about it was fine. I found it too far away from things, ideal for the Water Park, and the Marina, too far from the real night life.
I am on holiday again in August and plan to pop in and say hi to everyone I got to know while I was there,

| said: We have stayed here twice, we paid £95 for last minute flights and a weeks accomodation the week before Christmas.
I think some people forget that they are on holiday sometimes and expect far too much from their hotels. This is a basic hotel, but comfortable, reasonably clean, located at the best end of town, near the best irish bar on the island (away from all the kids being sick and fighting).
The pool is great, a decent selection of snacks, and staff are friendly.
This hotel is basic but comfortable. If you get an upstairs room on the left hand side, as you look down the hill, you get your own private sun terrace that you can enjoy.
I will visit this hotel again.

| said: Spend Christmas and New Year in Tenerife every year but due to a late booking ended up here, everything about this place is true!
The rooms are adequate but not very well maintained/cleaned, with the bathroom in desperate need of modernisation. The kitchen is basic and as has been said did not expect to pay to hire a kettle etc!
Cannot comment on the staff or entertainment as we spent most days by the beach and always eat out in the evenings.
On the couple of occasions we stayed by the pool the area around the bar was littered with rubbish and cigarette ends and many sunbeds were broken.
The location does not bother us as we are used to staying in this area, in the Neptuno apartments the previous Xmas and they are just as high up.
Would we stay here again? No way have booked Ocean palace for 2005.
With just a little investment this could be the sort of complex it probably was 20 years ago.

| said: Laguna Park II, half board. Hotel was clean but basic.
The food was good but a little repetitive.
We liked the location as it was quiet and a little out of the main town. Could be a problem for poeple with small children or walking difficulties.
The staff were polite and friendly.
We are unable to comment on the entertainment as we went out most nights after dinner.
As we are cat lovers they did not worry us, they were not smelly or dirty.
We did not see any cockrocks, but the timeshare reps were a pain and did not seem to understand "no thank you".
We would go back there for a quick holiday.

| said: I was very dubious of going to Laguna Park 2 after reading all the mixed reports but I was pleasantly suprised. The apartment was cleaned nearly every day, I only saw 1 cockroach and that was outside on the complex and yes there are a lot of cats but I'm a cat lover so it really didn't bother me. Infact I was naughty and fed them!!
You get used to the hill (if you're young and relatively fit) after a couple of days and to be honest it's done wonders for my bum & thighs!!
The food in the evening isn't up to much so wouldn't stay half board again, just B&B.

| said: Where do I start? The hotels name should be more like sess pit park, not Laguna park. It's like a prison camp. Holidays are what you make them, but this place is something else. Dirty, and scary.
At night, local sales men, selling the usual laser pens, illuminouse gifts and other cheap tat hang around and watch you leave your room(very daunting)especially when all you have as a front door is a flimsy patio door that looks as if its had a few encounters with a crow bar. Doesn't really give you much faith when your leaving your valuables in your shed, sorry I mean room. Never ever again ever ever.

| said: After reading bad reviews of this hotel I had lots of reservations about spending our week's holiday here. However, I found the hotel brilliant. I already knew about 'Cardiac' hill but that wasn't a problem.
The hotel staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and the only cockroach we saw was a dead one.
The entertainment was very good and there was something different every night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.

| said: Just got back and had a brilliant time.
The food was great with a wide variety for children and adults.
The staff were excellent and very friendly.
There were three of us in the apartment and it was cleaned 5 days a week. The towels were also regularly changed.
The pool was massive (salt water) and always clean!
The entertainers on a night were brilliant. Anthony, Dean and Spencer kept everyone entertained. Great for the kids, plenty of shows and games on stage. For the adults a chance to join in with all the games and not forgetting a regular dosage of bingo and quizzes every night. Worth going just for the entertainment.
Not recommended for those with mobility problems as there is a steep hill to climb but it will make you feel better after you have eaten lots for dinner.
Brilliant!

| said: Four girls went to start a new life, starting at this hotel!
The pool was awesome, but the people played the same cd over and over again, which is annoying!
The maids were sufficient, but didn’t like the idea they can just walk in, and then start shouting at us at some stupid hour in the morning regarding the state of the room! (Not good when you’ve just got in from Veronicas)
We loved the cats, we looked after them all even tried to raise the new born kittens, we named every one, sad we know!
Either way it was a doss for two weeks, because we then got our own house!
Ps the pizza is lovely!!!
