just back from a weeks half board at The Las Dalias. Sent an Email to the hotel 2 weeks before we arrived asking for a room on the 3rd floor with a large balcony overlooking the pool. That is just what we were given 27ft X 9ft balcony with 2 sunbeds, a table and 2 chairs and room for a party if needed!
Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels eack day.Air con was very noisy and not much good when it was on. Hired the room safe which was 12 euros for the week.
The hotel had mostly Spanish guests the week we were there and the food seemed to reflect this. However the food was always hot and plenyful with lots of choice. The drinks in the hotel are rather expensive 4.70Euros for a pint of beer, small diet coke 2 Euros.
Will be returning to this resort in January but will be staying at sister hotel Bouganvilla Playa. However we would stay at the Las Dalias again.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Las Dalias hotel, and had a terrific time.

The hotel is in a good location, far enough away from the all night nightclubs, but just a short and pleasant walk from the beaches and the marina area.
Shops and bars all around, but the bus stop is right outside, or a 20 minute walk along the coastal path has you into the Parque Santiago and Safari shopping areas, which are a must for shoppers.

The rooms were apacious and comfortable, and were cleaned thoroughly every day. No tea making facilities in the room, which was the only "negative"

We were half board for the 2 weeks, and the food in the hotel was excellent. Lots of choices, although it did get a little repetitive after a few days.
We ate out a few times at some of the many excellent eating places in the resort, all very reasonably priced.
When we go back, we will probabaly go bed and breakfast or self catering, as there really are lots of choices around regarding eating out.

The staff were attentive and very well mannered.

In summary, I would go back to the Las Dalias, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 19 year old daughter, who wanted to stay at a hotel not to far away from the veronicas strip. The location is great you have taxis outside and a bus stop very close by, plus a small shopping center for cigarettes, perfume etc tho if u shop around you can buy stuff cheaper I think the prices are higher cos the hotel is nearby. I stayed on the 7th floor and had nice views of the pool and sea, and it was fun watching people with there towels waiting to grab a sun bed it was like wacky races, there were sunbeds left nearly all day with towels on and no one using them which i find very selfish. The rooms were cleaned everyday but not to a very good standard, under the bed hadnt been touched for ages, in general the hotel looked shabby in places and in need of a revamp. There was no tea making facilities in the room which i found strange as most of the hotels i have stayed in have this. The meals were very repetative and was so pleased i was only staying for one week , there were pasta dishes and salads and it seemed to be mainly pork or veal, the puddings werent bad but not alot of variety there either. The entertainment was poor the only thing i enjoyed was the fashion show it seemed that it was geared for kids...come on hoteliers us adults want some entertainment after all we are the ones paying to stay not the kids!!

The hotel is situated fairly high up , its quite a trek to the beach, not bad on the way down but a killer on the way back as its all uphill, you definitely need to be fit to go down to the beach and back everyday.

There's a nice shopping centre straight across the road that sells camera's and perfumes etc, they also sell little nick knacks for presents, the supermarket was very cheap 43 cents for 1 litre of water, but if you all inclusive you can get bottles of water from the bar, your not really supposed to take food or drinks back to your room but people did.

There was lots of Germans there and Spanish not many British at all and the ones that were didn't speak to anyone.

FOOD - the food seemed to be geared more towards the Germans, there was lots of choice, breakfast - 7-10.30 am
bacon, sausages, beans, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pancakes with lots of different sauces to add to them like chocolate spread or raspberry syrup, cheese and ham omlettes, cereals, different breads and pastries, fruit and yogurts. But don't expect English bacon and sausages though because that they aren't !! The only thing that tastes English are the beans and eggs.

Continental breakfast, 10 am - 12pm.
different pastries, toast, cheese and ham sandwiches (this was always the same every day, quite disappointing really ).

Dinner and tea, these were fairly similar meals lots of different salad stuff, pasta, rice, paella, lots of different types of fish, but be careful every bite my daughter had was full of bones so do take care !

There was potatoes, chips, potato croquettes, spag bol, pizza, different meat every night but it is rare! They put it on the grill turn it over and its onto your plate so if you like it incinerated like I do don't bother getting any !! The chicken was fine though as its only thin so cooks quickly.

There was 4 different types of ice-cream everynight and about 4 different types of cakes. Food is available from 7 am until 12.30 am, so you will never go hungry.

They are bringing fresh food out all the time, I saw them taking half full trays of food off and replacing it with fresh food. Depending on when you go tho sometimes its cold. The restaurant staff were great, as soon as the tables were empty it was set for the next family.

POOL - the pool is quite big but not as big as the pictures show, its nice and clean, there is around 300 sunbeds which you can use from 9 am but by 9.30 am they're all gone.

Not many people actually sat on them just towels left on them till later on. I did see the hotel staff going round taking towels off the sunbeds that weren't been used but only saw them do that once.

Bar - the soft drinks, beer and wine are all self-service but the spirits you have to get from the bar, some drinks do have supplements, for instance if you wanted baileys you had to pay 1.90 for it, which is half price but you can ask for a all inclusive like baileys and get the same thing for free !!

Sometimes you have to wait a while at the bar, they tend to serve the paying guests first sometimes.

Entertainment -there was 3 bars, but the main entertainment was at the outside stage, this was very good most nights, we saw Bejing acrobats which were great, juggling tables and chairs on the feet. Amazing, snake show, parrot show, eagle show, knife thrower.

We did go out a couple of nights tho when the dancers were on. Theres some great karaoke bars down the road that are all English people!! And make you feel welcome. They talk mostly Spanish in the hotel so we was sat there most of the night not knowing what the hell they were talking about, most of the music they played in between the entertainment was Spanish too. Even the kids mini-disco was all Spanish songs.

We saw a few cockroaches on our corridoor, we were on the third floor but as the hotel was on a hill it was ground floor in some parts so the cockroaches got in, we didn't have any in our room tho so that was good, I emailed and requested a third floor room and thats what we got , the balcony was huge !! We had a table and chairs and 2 sunbeds ! You could actually fit 3 sunbeds lengthways as it was so big !!

Over all we had a good holiday but wouldn't go all inclusive again, it's not for us. We would definitely go to Las Americas again though. But just go self catering, we missed going around on a night finding somewhere to eat and for the best entertainment.

We don't like being tied to one place and were also used to a seperate room and bedroom, here you just get one room with 3 beds in so not much room to move around in. They could really of made the balconys smaller and the rooms bigger.

This hotel is excellent, rooms spotless cleaned every day. Request high floor, overlooking pool as they have the best veiws and tend to be quieter at night.

Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks easily available, good measures,if you want a bottle of cava its yours!

Food abundant with reasonable choice although can be a bit repetitive. Staff very helpful and friendly nothing is a problem.

Rooms are reasonable size but could do with refurbishmentas do stairwells i.e carpets need replaced.

Overall great hotel in good location near shops and not to far to walk to beach, also in walking distance to watershoot park.

Entertainment was OK had some good professional shows, entertainments team deserve a pat on the back as they work from morning to night and do a great job.

Nice hotel in a nice location, request a room overlooking the pool because these rooms are very quite at night and get the best Sun during the day.

Sometimes the food was not as hot as it could have been but the quality of the food was fine.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

p.s. The dolphin show in the water park is excellent.

Just got back from this hotel. Good location and the rooms were a good size and cleaned every day. The staff were friendly. The one down side to this hotel was the food. It was not 4 star standard, poor choice at the evening buffet and the food was cold. The only hot thing was the soup.

I stayed in this hotel over the New Year and would like to say this is the best one by far!! (and I am very fussy!)

The hotel is so clean, our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels when we wanted. The food was very good, certainly not cold! A good hot cup of tea was available on a morning. My children especially liked a chocolate milkshake on a morning.

The swimming pool was nice and warm, which kept my chldren entertained all day. The entertainment was ok but could have been better. Johnny Circus was a definate to watch, he was brilliant.

We were half board for the first week but upgraded to all inclusive for the second, which was quite a good idea. They only charged for myself, my husband and my son allowing my other two children to go free which was certainly good value for money.

I would definatley recommend this hotel and can't wait to go again. Well done Las Dalias xx

We stayed in this hotel for the Christmas and new year period and we totally enjoyed it. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were cleaned every day. We went half-board but we upgraded on the first day to all inclusive. We paid 840 euros for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 10 & 8)for 2 weeks upgrade and it was worth every penny.

The meals were always hot and there was plenty of it.

The childrens entertainers worked so very hard and they kept the children occupied all day long.especially carole who my 2 children adored. She made our childrens` holiday fantastic. We couldn`t even leave the hotel to go on any excursions as the kids were having such a great time they also put on some evening entertainment which was also good.

We had 2 weeks of great weather and only 2 half days of cloud. We were as tanned in winter as we were on our August holiday to Cyprus!

All in all a brilliant holiday and we are hoping to go back for Xmas/New year 2007.

We have just returned from spending half term in this hotel.

We stayed half-board - the food was excellent.

The hotel was very clean and spacious. Evening entertainment was very good. The weather was hot but very windy. We had our catamaran trip cancelled three times due to the weather!

Location was great. Loads of shops around the hotel. We are looking forward to visiting again.

I stayed at this hotel in July 06 with my husband and 5 year old daughter. Having read many varied reviews on this hotel, I thought I’d add my own experience of this place. The short version is…if you’ve booked you wont be disappointed, if you cant enjoy yourself or find anything to eat at this hotel then perhaps Tenerife isn’t for you !!

Check In
We were quickly attended to even though a few families of various nationalities were checking in at the same time. I was handed a registration card to complete for my family and while doing this we were treated to a wee sparkly glass of wine or orange juice. Our passports were returned to us once they had checked them against the registration form. We were given our key card and got our all inclusive wrist bands put on and went to our room. The porter arrived with our suitcases about 5 minutes after we had got to the room.

Rooms
If you’ve ever stayed at an Iberostar then the room set up is not much different from anywhere else. We had a fold up bed set up for our daughter but this still left us with enough space in the room. We got a pool view which is what I had requested a couple of weeks before travelling. We were in room 701 which is 7 floors up from the pool. If you’ve read other reviews, you’ll note that the hotel is set on a hill so you arrive in reception which is actually the 3rd floor. Spacious balcony with usual plastic 3 seats and table and dryer connected to wall. Beds comfy and feel free to ask the maids or reception for extra pillows – nothing is any problem. Mini bar in room which we did not take as we were all inclusive so would not be storing any drinks. There is a safe in the wardrobe that we purchased for 29 euros and you get 5 euros back on departure. We had problems locking the safe so needed maintenance to fix it. They arrived within 10 minutes of my calling reception with the fault and the poor man done all he could. We ended up getting a replacement safe and he could not have been more apologetic for keeping me waiting (probably only about 40 minutes). He explained any other maintenance can be done when guests are out but with the safe they would rather you stayed in the room which does make sense. Spacious bathroom with hairdryer. Rooms cleaned every day. Absolutely no complaints with the room.

Pool
The pool has a sign up saying its open 10 til 6 each day but it was more like 9 til 8. They put a cordon up until cleaning is finished and so no-one can book the beds before then. However, beware the mad rush for sunbeds !! From about 8.30 we could see people queuing up at the pool. By 8.50 they are all jostling for a position next to the cordon, before the pool cleaners even have the cordon right down, people are ducking under or jumping over it running and scrambling for beds. We even seen people being pushed out the way in the scram, and even people launching towels from where they are standing to land on sunbeds some distance away !! Utter madness. We would stand on the balcony and watch the madness. Some people were even taking photos of the scrum from their balconies. The worst of this was that this was not the Germans as most would expect but….and I hate to say it…they were Scottish. We overheard several folk talking about this and made us most embarrassed to be Scottish. We even had our umbrella and table taken (our drinks and hats were removed from the table) one day while we walked our daughter to kids club. We overheard the Scots in front of us talk about taking it !! This is not the Hotels fault and be assured there are plenty of sunbeds even if you wander down at 9.30 or 10.

Kids Club
On 6 days a week for 4 to 7 then 8 to 12 year olds. My daughter was in the younger one and had a ball. It was on 10.30 to 1 then 3 til 4.30. Some people were complaining that the kids were free to wander in and out of the club if they wanted but then again it is not designed as a babysitting service. We were not asked to stay by the pool but then we would not have left the Hotel incase she did need us. The Mini Club played games and coloured in and were in the pool most afternoons playing with balls etc. The older ones went and played football and pool and all the kids seemed to have a great time.

Entertainment
The kids disco is on for half an hour most nights at 8pm. Occasionally there is some sort of entertainment between then and 9.30 then the main show begins at 9.30 til about 10.15. There was a parrot show, clown and some night’s bingo to fill the time. The main shows were good quality hotel entertainment. There was a riverdance show and grease and broadway show performed by the hotel entertainers. Other nights, entertainment was brought in such as flamenco dancers and acrobats. Most ask for some sort of audience participation and if you sit on the front row of tables, expect to be asked to go on stage !! Some nights there was a show on in the hotel disco starting about 10.30 but we didn’t go, preferring to take a drink up to the balcony and get our daughter to bed.

Food and Drink
We were all inclusive and found this equally as good as anywhere else. Drink as much as you like between 10 and 12.30am. You can either order at the bar or at the side of the L-shaped bar is where all inclusive guests can pour their own soft drinks, beer, slush and cocktail of the day or water or hot beverages. At night, you can pour your own or there is waiter service at the tables (usually quicker to get your own – no fault of the staff just that often people move the tables and chairs about to sit in groups making it difficult for waiters to pass by). The food was marvellous. Fabulous choices for all meals. At breakfast, lunch and dinner there was always salad and breads. Then some show cooking and pastas in the evening. Two choices of soups always available. Vegetarians were catered for very well. In the morning you can have hot drinks or fruit juices (pour your own) and at lunch and dinner the beer, wine and soft drink and water machines were available. An alternative at lunch was the barbecue outside which served hamburgers, pizza, chips and occasionally hot dogs. A favourite with our daughter who used to get that then come in with us to the dining hall for lunch to get her watermelon and ice cream! Of course we heard people say that they were sick of bacon and egg after 2 weeks – but why not try some cold meats and cheeses and fruit for breakfast – you are on holiday and I’m sure after bacon n egg at home for 2 weeks you’d be sick of it aswell ! If your looking for British food all the time then stay at home. I even heard someone say the coffee tasted different and obviously wasn’t Nescafe. I mean….if you want what’s at home, then stay at home, if you want to try foods from different countries alongside foods that you have eaten before then a hotel is perfect.

I think I’ve crammed most of the stuff in that anyone would need to know. Ok the corridors at the bedrooms could do with a fresh lick of paint but the hotel main areas are spotless. I never seen any cockroaches and the staff are all helpful and pleasant. This is 4 star for Tenerife. If you’ve gone Iberostar before then you have an idea of what you are getting. If you have booked half board and intend to be at the pool during the day and hotel at night then well worth upgrading to all-inclusive. I will probably get people completely contradicting this review, but I would like to say, that we do like to stay in nice places for our well deserved holidays and we will definitely be returning to this Hotel at some point. We spoke to many people of many nationalities who return to this hotel time and again, that, speaks for itself! Enjoy if you have booked !

We stayed half-board, plenty of choice for food and the service in the restaurant was very good.

The hotel was clean, rooms nice, facilities good etc.

The location was excellent, central, 10mins walk to waterpark, across the road from a shopping complex, gift shops a cheap supermarket, food places etc, and a cash point there. 5 mins to a very pretty harbour, trips tend to pick up outside the Bouganville hotel(5mins), a little bit hilly around the area but not a problem really! Plenty of places to stroll around, we booked trips in one of the shops, better deal.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We didn't stay in much in the evenings for the entertainment, went for walks and called to the San Eugenio bay area for a pint(1,euro) however we watched the acrobat show, good.

We would all visit the hotel again as the location is a major attraction for us, however my mother(69) was a bit put off by the hilly parts around, take your time and its fine.

Good value hotel, you can upgrade at reception to all-inc if preferred.

We stayed on the 7th floor with fab sea and pool views, shaded balcony until around late afternoon which was lovely. We will definitely return in the future.

Other than noticing a wet ceiling and walls in one of the corridors after a particular downpour, the hotel was extremely clean and tidy. The bedrooms were a good size, well maintained and excellently cleaned.

The staff even cleaned the railings on the balcony and the windows each day. You could not fault any member of staff from the receptionists, who were welcoming and helpful, to bar staff who always remembered your order (even if you only went the once each night honestly!) The waiters were prompt with taking ones plate and always had a smile on their face despite the heavy workload each day and night.

There was enough variation in entertainment and sports to do each day and night for guests to pick what they enjoyed.I would particularly like to single out Peter in the entertainment team for encouraging my teenage boys to participate. Peter always had a ready smile and enthusiasm which rubbed off onto all those he came into contact with.

If I had one fault with the hotel it would be, although they thankfully had a non-smoking restaurant,it would have been nice to have had other ares where there was non smoking especially in the bar ares and by the pool.

We arrived too late for the evening meal but were told by Reception that a cold buffet was to be available at 11.15pm for those of us who were late arrivals.

Waited with other holidaymakers, but nothing materialised and we eventually gave it up as a bad job. I appreciate that hotels in Europe in general have not yet got around to non-smoking rooms but our room, although reasonably nice, absolutely stank of cigarette smoke.

After complaining, the staff brought us a perfumed spray but it took us about 4 days to make it bearable. The pool areas were nice, with plenty of loungers & parasols. Meals/food were fine and the staff were very helpful. Entertainment was typical 'hotel style' but well attended and quite enjoyable. The location of the hotel is fairly central with good access to a range of shops, bars etc.

There is parking at the hotel, which is quite a rarity, and which is quite a bonus if like me you have a hire car during your stay.

I wish I had taken the time to read up on the Las Dalias before I booked.

We were allocated room 452 overlooking the main entrance. Every night at 2.00am we were wakened by the tour bus dropping of passengers. The food was more two star than four star and did not reflect on the price we paid. Same old same sixties music nights these people are in a time warp whrn it comes to entertainment.

Tenerife has little time for the British now and prefer the spending power of the German and Scansinavian Countries.

Do not be fooled by the sales patter electrical goods and perfume are cheaper at home.

The hotel was spot on from start to finish.

The food was 1st class but was a bit boring in the 2nd week due to it been the same as week 1.

The entertaiment staff wereas the best we have met. It only took 2 to 3 days for them to know all the kids names.

The beer was 4* prices so we upgraded for the 2nd week costing 18eros each adult per day.

Anyone who does not like this hotel must have very very high standards.

Went All Inclusive for the first time. Had the most fantastic time you could imagine.

The hotel is very clean you could almost eat of the floors.

The Hotel staff are very friendly but almost with a creepy feel.

The food on an all inclusive we thought might not be up to scratch but we were proved wrong. It was fantastic lovely BBQ in afternoon I kept having steak and chips and the wife had salad, then onto the evening meal, it was really nice food with a great choice.

The drinks part of the all inclusive was not what I expected. I thought they would not give you everything free. But they did you could have 50 beers and 50 wines with a cocktail every 3 mins and they would not mind. Spirits were flowing freely but only local makes but you could still get gin whiskey etc.

Oh and yes the entertainment was great what I can remember

Second stay for us at Las Dalias, as we enjoyed it so much last year!

Room was cleaned daily, although a couple of days we were in the room (as the weather wasn't great, we watched a lot of TV and played cards), so we merely asked for a quick change of towels which the maids were most helpful with.

The food was exactly the same as last year. 2 pastas, 2 sauces, chips, salad, meats, show cooking, potatoes, rice, bread cutting station, etc. Can't fault it, and I'm veggie. Pasta and sauce nice (and hot) as were the chips. I'm not a fan of desserts on holiday, they tend to be moussy or fruity and glazed, so I don't eat them being a veggie. But they had nice ice cream which I had most nights, and quite liked the banana flambé too.

Location is great, convenient for many bars, nice beach shops etc. Also handy for bus. Excellent cheap large supermarket directly opposite. Fantastic pizzeria (Sardinian) with the only Italian tasting pizzas I've ever had in Spain! We ate there almost every day for lunch. Fantastic!

Staff were nice, apart from one incident, we arrived at lunchtime and went out for a walk. At 5pm we got back and noticed that the balcony door had a gap in it (quite big) although it still locked etc. Called reception and they said they'd send a repair man. Waited. Called back they said, nah they have to take the whole door off to fix, so not just now. We asked to move room, and they wanted to put us in a 'road view' room, which I didn't want as we were in a sea view room. They kept saying they had no more sea view rooms, the hotel was full. Eventually they sent someone up to the room, who then showed us 2 other rooms, on the same floor sea view, proving the first guy to be a liar really. Anyway that guy was most helpful, and we were grateful to him.

Entertainment is more for families/older couples etc, I just don't care much for cabaret shows in various languages. The entertainment staff did appear to put in a good effort though, and were of fairly mad appearance (often dressed as clowns etc).

We'd go back, the only disappointment was the weather. We're not planning to go to the Canary Islands for a couple of years probably though.

I dont think this Hotel deserves a 4-star rating, I stayed at the Bouganville (sister) Hotel last January and everything there was far superior. A 2-star would be much more accurate, in my opinion and they would struggle to reach that, in some areas.

The dining room was at a guess about 50% too small, there were, at busy times up to 50 - 60 people queueing for a table outside the dining room. Once inside it was very "push and shove" cafeteria-style with the tables being set far too close together and although there was a large selection of food on offer, this was often served tepid instead of hot. Most unappetising. Although we paid for half board, we ate out every night, after the first night's experience.

The Hotel was advertised as including mini-bar (there was none), the T.V. in my room was set on an arm very high up the wall so that had I wanted to watch it, it would have caused severe neck ache.

The Hotel advertised as a change of bed linen twice a week, it was not changed at all, although there were clean towels every day.

The first few days of our holiday were cloudy and it was cold at night, I had to ask three times, over two days, before I was "issued" (in my hand!)with a blanket, which had it been mine, and I had been considering donating it to a charity, then I would have changed my mind and put it in the bin! It was grubby and very old and pilled, but I was grateful for it, as I only had a sheet and a cotton counterpane on the bed and it was cold.

The location of the Hotel is excellent and I feel the staff who were in front of house were very helpful, polite and friendly. It seemed to me that it may have been a management problem, as there seemed to be no-one overseeing and organising the basics.

The lifts are extremely dangerous, there are only three for nine floors and they often close on your arms as you try to get in - (I have the bruises on my arms to prove it!).

I would not return to this Hotel. I would say its overdue for a complete overhaul, with especial attention being paid to building a dining room that is capable of accommodating guests in a more dignified way.

Most people going to a 4-star Hotel, for instance, would not be used to queueing, which was not restricted to the opening of the dining room, but was at any busy time after that and during all times we tried to eat there.

Overall a very disappointing stay.

We stayed in Las Dalias over xmas 2004. The hotel was very clean and well looked after and the staff were freindly and effecient. There is about 30% brits, 30% germans and about 40% other europeans.

The food was good to start with but the variety dwindled over the week until the last couple of days when there was very little choice at all. Although the breakfasts were great everyday with an amazing choice of hot and cold foods. The packed lunch is also good.

As a group of 2 girls, we were looking for a liveley hotel with other young people, and had been upgraded to Las Dalias after our orignal hotel was overbooked. We found that the majority of the people staying here were either familys or older people - who would find this hotel ideal. For those who want a lively place there is very few young singles about and they should probably look for a different hotel.

The hotel is well located, a ten minute walk from the beach and shops, and about a 20min walk to the bar/restauant centre of Las Americas. It is also across the road from a big shopping centre which includes a supermarket. If you want to go on excursions there is a lot of smaller shops/kiosks where you can book excursions much cheaper than in the hotel.

This hotel is not worthy of the 4 star rating that is advertised.

Having previously stayed in this hotel two years ago we decided to return september 2004.

The quality of food has deteriorated and the hotel is crawling with cockroaches, even on the 8th floor we had cockroaches in the bathroom, the bedroom, the corridors and one in my bed crawling in my hair.

The majority of the staff are quite pleasant and helpful, the entertainment is the basically the animation team, who try their best during the day to encourage holiday makers to join in activities such as shooting and silly games.

This hotel needs a total refurbishment and fumigation.

We found everything really lovely both times. No cockroaches, really clean, great choice of food.

Brilliant entertainment. Lovely clean pools. Couldnt wish for better staff.

Lots to do in area.

I thought Las Dalias was an excelant hotel with it's friendy and helpful staff and it's outstanding cleanliness.I never saw a cockroach inside the hotel although I did see a few but all were dead. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily to the higheststandard which made it an even better stay.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back again.

The Hotel was very clean, especially the dinning hall, which was very well decorated and bright. The choice of food was excellent with a full variety of british and foreign foods. Breakfast had everything you could imagine. The Hotel is located in a good position close to all amenities. The waterpark is only about a 15 minute walk from the rear of the hotel. About 15 minute walk to the beach. Staff very helpful.
Entertainment excellent. We would visit this hotel again.

The hotel was in a nice place, it was full of Germans which some people don't like.

The staff weren't very friendly didn't help you with anything the only people who were friendly were the receptionists.

The location of the hotel was in a brilliant place it wouldn't be suitable for people with walking difficulties as it's all down hill. There's a shopping centre just across the road and the main beach was 15 minutes walk away.

I would stop at this hotel again but just go self-catering I'd just use it as a base.

We stayed in the Bouganville just across the road in August 2003 and as the Las dalias is promoted as the same standard we gave it a try. It is no where near as good. The room was ok but not 4 star standard. The portable TV was wonky and we reported the telephone not working on our first day and it was never fixed. we did not see any cockroaches but the corridors were littered dead ones each evening. The food was alittle bland and repeated even over a week. Breakfasts were good but beware of the uncooked eggs. The location is good though although busy. You have to buy a fridge 21 euros but its full of drinks. The staff were freindly enough. The pool area was clean and the pools were kept clean although one of them was freezing and could cause heart failure if you're not careful. In summary, in need of sprucing up and keeping a little cleaner. Go the Bouganille instead, its superb

We found the Las Dalias to be excellent. So much so that we are now about to return (a year later).

Seems I never posted a review when we returned so here we go. (bear in mind this is almost a year old now).

The room was very clean, we stayed on the 7th or 8th floor, having requested high floor pool view. This gives you a fantastic view of the sea and sunset from the balcony.

The food was fantastic for us, being vegetarians, can have a little trouble finding food we liked. At breakfast there was a bread station to cut your own bread, we loved this. I mainly ate bread, cheese, tomatoes, that sort of thing. For dinner I tended to eat pasta - there was a choice of a long and a short pasta each night, and you add your choice of sauce. There was always a plain tomato herb type sauce (not out a jar, a nice one), plus a meat based one or similar. There were fresh chips constantly and they were nice. The salad was also to a reasonable standard. I didn't care much for the desserts, being vegetarian I'm wary of the fruity glazed type pies and pastries, and that's what they seemed to have, although they did look nice! I sometimes had some ice cream which was pretty standard. No upset stomachs at all.

Location of the hotel is fantastic too, near to lots of bars aimed at the twenties upwards crowd. Upwards, being right up to whatever age you can still go out to pubs at!! There's bingo, quizzes, live music, tribute acts, comedy acts etc, and some plain old bars with music on or pool tables. Something for everyone. Only thing missing is a disco, but we didn't want that anyway.

The staff at the hotel were nice, they met our request for a pool view, and also they replied to emails we sent prior to our visit. We were given a nice glass of bubbly (probably cava) on arrival which was a nice touch. We arrived just as dinner finishes unfortunately though, so we went to a mediocre chinese restaurant nearby.

Entertainment in the hotel is a bit poor. Don't get me wrong, they try hard, but just not my kind of thing. During the day it's ok around the pool, but at night it's a bit cheesey. Might suit older couples or families. They do the entertainment in different languages so it drags a little.

We are about to return to this hotel next week (can't wait), so that's how much we liked it. Hope we like it as much this time around!
