It is an expensive hotel but I managed to find a really good deal on www.reserveahotelonline.com they seem to offer a lot of the luxury hotels and have some really good prices.
If anyone is looking for a luxury break in Tenerife you cant get better than this. It has everything you could possibly want and the location is fantastic. The weather at that time of year is not brilliant so its important to keep yourself busy and the hotel fully appreciates that.

I can't recommend this hotel enough, if you want a relaxing holiday this is the place to go, botanical gardens, peacocks roaming, music playing in the background.
There are 8 pools a couple of which are heated, so everyday you can sit by a different one it has 10 restaurants again everyone different, its quite expensive but you really do get what you paid for.
When we arrived last year in July, we had booked a seaview room, when we arrived at nearly midnight! We discovered the view was obstucted by a tree and no balcony (we assumed all rooms had a balcony).... no problem they moved us to another room! (this was July and very busy).
Everytime you sit down for a meal with children they bring them crayons and paper, it has entertainment for the children during the day, not sure if this is all year round.
The hotel is superb and for a 5 star deluxe its not to pretentious, believe there is only 1 restaurant that requires a tie or dinner jacket.
The staff are helpful, and polite. Food is of the highest standard, although the buffet food could maybe a little hotter other than that superb.
I have stayed in lots of hotels in the PDLA area and always seen the odd cockroach, but here never seen one, believe this is good sign of cleanliness!!!!

We were put into a room over looking the gardens. That night whilst in the shower, a torrent of water started coming through the ceiling, obviously from the shower above. We complained to the hotel reception who said they would fix it the following morning. We came back to the room the next day and the ceiling had been painted so we thought it had been fixed....WRONG! It was just a cosmetic fix.
After complaining again, we were moved to the adjourning block of rooms. This was a new part of the hotel and the room was fantastic - very fairytale. That night, we tried the shower, and it flew off the wall with the pressure! We complained again and were given a key to the adjorning room to use that shower. The same thing happended! We paid £2000+ for a week, to have one of us holding the shower head while the other person showered!
Breakfast was okay (just that!) but the evening meals in the hotel were atrocious, the worse I have ever known. We soon came to the decision to eat out of the hotel. The hotel is not conveniently situated. Its a taxi ride to get anywhere.
The pools are nice but you have to go down several levels and 100's of steps! Not ideal for anyone with small children or unsteady on their feet.
All in all, not one we will visit again.
