We travelled in a small group (18, 19, 19) and booked with Thomsom "freestyle", when we first arrived at the hotel the reception area is a bit dingy... but dont let that put you off!! while we were waiting for our rooms to be ready the reps give a welcome talk and try and book you in on all their bar crawls and stuff, we didnt go on any of their trips, as you can do it yourself and not be stuck to them all the time. The reps were alright though. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit aprehensive about the state of the room but when we arrived it was fine!! and no cockroaches! although some other girls we met said their room was practially infested so beware! oh wait the balcony smelt of sick actually but meh! its not like you spend much time in the room anyway, unless you are asleep! it could have been a bit bigger but thats just being fussy. we were room 1207 by the way. I would reccommend this hotel for young groups but not families, it can be loud at night.
The beaches were really nice, sea was warm and apart from the usual lot trying to sell u stuff it was really relaxing! Pool area was alright, only went there once or twice anyway.
THE NIGHTLIFE WAS AMAZING!!! would reccommend anthonys bar, oasis, sound of cream, linakers, yates, bonkers and BOBBYS! loads of others too but i cant remember :-p
We went on a bar crawl called "o what a night" which was really good, got to meet loadza nice people! there is a website so just type it in to google and check it out!
The piramides is really central, its close to the beach and bars and resturants and stuff but far away enough not be be really rowdy. oh yeah we went to los christianos one night which is a bit less crazy if you want a quieter night. Tony Romas Ribs is the best restuarant ever! clsely followed by American Dreams lol.
And do the dolphin and whale spotting boat trip, two hours on a boat for 18euro, bargain!
All in all we had a really good holiday, I would defo come back to tenerife!

We stayed at Las Piramedes from 24th - 31st August 2007. Upon arrival checking-in took over 30 minutes and then we had to wait a further 15 minutes until the "Security Guard" (gawd help us if there was a threat to the hotel as he was normally to be found kipping on one of the pool tables during the night) showed us to our studio.

First impressions were okay, the room was a decent size but old fashioned and sparsely furnished however a bottle of red wine was waiting for us (i hate wine but a nice thought all the same).

After killing the first cockroach (within 20 seconds of opening the room door) we unpacked. One big plus about the room is the shower in the bathroom - It's smashing with hot water 24/7.

The linen smelt a bit "smoky" and the less said about the pillows the better however to be fair we only paid £200 each for a week at the apartments so we were not expecting 5 star luxury.

Cooking facilities are crap - 2 rings......... and that's about it really, oh and a kettle (but no toaster). You also get a fridge with really bad seals on it.

Oh and you get a TV in your room - Which you have to feed 1 euro every hour or it goes to sleep (you rememeber the type of tv am talking about - You get them in guest houses in blackpool and scarborough).

The hotel is noisy and packed to the gunnels with club 18-30's like me and my mate - If your looking for a relaxing and quiet holiday then look elsewhere however if your after fun times, great party scene and don't mind getting molested by a few hookers who stand around the Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro (just up from Las Piramedes) then this place is ideal for you.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Tenerife. This hotel was perfect for the money we paid (£150 each), it wasn’t the cleanest, quietest or the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in but again what do you expect for a good old fashioned cheap holiday.

The pool needed some general repairs and a good heating system and the rooms needed air conditioning, which Thomson failed to mention, was missing.

I have heard horror stories of cockroaches, but we only seen 2 the whole holiday and they weren’t even in the hotel. Also stories of loud music and shouting all night, our room was right over the main entrance and the only thing that woke us up was the bin men every other day.

I was told that this hotel became an 18-30 hotel in the summer so be warned.

As for the location this hotel was second to none, just around the corner was a great cheap pub called the royal where we started every night, playing there family fun quiz and singing along on the karaoke.

Just next to that is a Chinese which is open till 6am, so chicken wings and ribs for us every night on our way back to the hotel. The main night life was only a few minutes walk and so was Tony romas rib restaurant and Mama rosas stake house, 2 of the best places we found to eat.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone in the off season but to the younger ones in the summer. I am 30 this year and I would happily stay here again.

Would definitely not stay again, stay away if you are going as a couple, ok for the youngsters. But very basic, and dirty.

No parasols around the pool, would rate this hotel and 1 star, not three as we were told.

The only good thing about it was it was central, but this part of Tenerife is cheap and nasty and when we went before stayed at the Parque Santiago 111 apartments. Would definitely pay the extra and go back to them. The area was dirty and noisy, lots of youngsters at night and around the pool during the day the language was terrible. Don’t take children really awful place

Just got back from this hotel and I thought it was really great, would recomend it to anyone!!

We went in low season so didn't really here the noise but if you cant sleep because of the noise going on, go out have fun and make the noise with them!

The hotel was really clean beds made daily and clean towels everyday.

Didn't really drink in the hotel so can't comment on the entertainment.

Hotel staff were ok I suppose not the friendliest of people but don't let that put you off coz it really was a cool hotel to stay in!!

Would def visit this hotel again in the process of booking again now!!

Back after Christmas and New Year.

These appartments are great during the day and evening, clean, frendliy staff, but entertainment not up to much.

In a good location. but if you want a nights sleep then be careful when you go to these appartments as there could be few inconsiderate people who came back between 4and 6am determing to make as much noise as possible, security tried hard but seemed to loose the battle as this happened every night.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel over Christmas and new year and had a fab time.

The rooms were basic but nice and cleaned daily. Bar staff were all friendly. Hotel was pretty much central and in walking distance recommend to all age groups during this time of season.

Definitely go back again getting ready to book, made loads of great friends who made our holiday worth while. Missing it already.

Spent the first week of November in this hotel and it was ok, we didn't pay much for it so we cant complain.

The room was fairly large as was the balcony, the furnishings were a little tired handles coming of draws etc and the beds had seen plenty of use (bit lumpy) and don't expect to cook much as all you have are two electric hobs, no oven or grill.

The maids come in and made the beds and changed the towels most days, staff seemed friendly and helpful.

As other people have said we did find it sometimes noisy at night /early morning, some people cant seem to be considerate to others. Ate in the hotel a couple of times evening meal good value three course buffet for 8 euros, the location was pretty central but quite a way to the beach.

Entertainment in evenings ok and bar prices reasonable, would go back to this hotel again if the price was right.

Where do I start.

We arrived at our hotel late at night where we had to Que up waiting about 1 hr for our room Key and all we wanted to do what SLEEP.

Eventually we arrived at our room and was quite inpressed really tidy clean room opening the balcony door and a small pool right under our pool. That would be nice to relax in of a day time. I thought we where going to have a nice pleasent holiday.

How wrong could I have been, about 3am I thought there was someone being murdered with the noice thats was coming from outside our room. I went outside to have a look. There where about 20 young lads sitting by the poolside drinking. I asked them to keep the noice down and i am sorry i did the abuse i got in return. This carried on all night.

I said to myself that i would not worry about it maybe it was because I was tired and it was not as bad as I thought so the night after I arrived home after going out at 2am and I thought I has walked into a night club again with all the music really noisey. By 3am I had, had enough, I went and called the 24 hr rep to come to our apartment they said they would be there in 10 min. Guess what, 11 hrs later he arrived... I was not very happy.

They moved us to another room inside the hotel and said this will be better - it was 2 times as bad, as they put us next to the gang of lads that where sitting at the pool. By this time 3 days into our holiday we decided to move hotels at our expense but please believe me it was the best money I have ever spent in my life.

We managed to have a amazing holiday and have booked to go back to the hotel that we moved to in March 2007

Well what can I say just got back yesterday from the Las Piramides.

When we first arrived the place looked a bit grotty but when we went inside we were pleasantly surprised. We were staying in two studio apartments one for me and my wife one for our children. The apartments were very basic but spotlessly clean the rooms were cleaned every day (towels changed beds made).

We did not eat in the hotel but from people we talked to said the food was very nice there was a well stocked supermarket in the hotel(although it was a bit pricey).

The location was spot on. It is about 15 minutes walk to Las Vistas Beach although there were closer beaches the Las Vistas was much nicer. Although we didn't go to the main strip the pubs and restaurants close by were very good. The entertainment in The Royal Pub which is just round the corner was brilliant.

Didn't have anything to do with the Hotel staff but they were permanently hanging around in the foyer but I dare say if you needed anything they would be there for you.

We only watched the entertainment once in the Hotel and whether we had just fell in lucky or not it was fantastic. It did tend to get a bit noisy throughout the night but it didn't seem to bother my children and it didn't bother us and also the security guards were to hand to sort out any problems.

I will be definitely staying at this Hotel again.

Well me and my boyfriend just got back from a week staying in the las piramides, and im just glad to be home to have a quiet nights sleep, this is very much a young singles hotel, with loud music playing from rooms at half 3 in the morning then playing football down the corridoors at half 5, it wasnt our idea of a peaceful holiday which is what we were after!

The hotel itself is situated in a nice place just a few minutes walk to the beach, and bars and restaurants just around the corner, or if it was a more lively holiday you are after veronicas and starco are quarter of a mile away so lots going on there to.

The hotel didn't have much entertainment planned whilst we were there, both in the night and in the day, so by day it was chilling out in the pool area, which is cleaned every morning and by night going to a few bars for entertainment.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and always had time to speak to us!

Would never ever go back to these apartments..... were told they were very quiet, and suitable for couples!! Not at all.... so noisy and filthy!!

Rooms are so dark and the only fans we got looked like they dated back to 1960!!!! Room doors where banged on all thrugh the night, balcony door was broke and not fixed the entire holiday and woke several mornings to find the very untidy people up the stairs had through all their food wrappers in our balcony!

Don't recommend at all!

I went here last year with my boyfriend, the hotel was good, at the the time it was freestyle and club 18-30, a few times there were some fighting in the hotel. We didn't try the food but we did have one drink and it was discusting! There was a really good supermarket on the ground floor.

The location was okay as there was a lane which took you to bars, shops etc.

The pool was terrible you could get anywhere near it as it was packed - not relaxing at all.

The hotel is basic, but clean and spacious which makes it an ideal base for a self-catering holiday.

It is a matter of minutes from the centre of Las Americas with a large bar, restaurant and supermarket onsite.

There were no problems with the hotel itself, apart from the lack of entertainment, although the noise, as has been previosly mentioned was horrific!
I had read about this, but honestly didn't think it would be this bad!
Most of the Cliential are young singles who don't leave the hotel until about midnight and don't care who they wake up when they come back at six in the morning!
Fine, if you want to join them, but really frustrating when you don't.

Wouldn't recommend it in high season for older people/couples. There are plenty of other similar places which provide a good deal and a good nights sleep.

Saying that, it was a fun holiday and good value for money!

First of all I'd better say that our group was varied in ages - 56, 47 and 2 x 20 year olds.

We stayed at Las Piramides Apartments for a week the 1st week of August. Although there were alot of 18-30's staying at the same time we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was ALOT of noise during the early hours of the morning. Idiots staying the the apartment above thought it "great" who "whoop" around the corridors, slamming the metal fire doors and generally making as much noise as they possibly could. But "hey" they were youngsters on holiday!!

The staff were wonderful and made us feel more than welcome, especially Danny, John, Jason and John - in the bar. Food was excellant, mind you we were very spoilt as we were the only ones on half board. There was a choice of full breakfast, boiled eggs, cereal etc and a good choice of dinner from beef steaks to pastas/pizza.

There was no entertainment but it was "that time of the year" We were informed that the entertainment is laid on the latter part of the year - October onwards.

The swimming pools were lovely and clean and an excellant sun trap - there were no parasols so you had to be v. careful when sitting out.

The complex is situated in a great position as it is close to everything - beach, bars, supermarkets etc.

I cannot say enough about the holiday we had. It was absolutely great and will not hesitate to return.

The location of this hotel, I would say, is second to none and the hotel itself is great. It has everything you need including two large swimming pools, restaurant (which we didn't eat in so can't comment on the food, but the menu looked nice), on site supermarket, internet (quite expensive I might add) and, most importantly, a happy hour at the bar!

I went with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic holiday overall. The apartment was nice and maids visited everyday. One of the main pluses of the room is that it had a TV with BBC1 and ITV – I couldn't believe my British luck!

Hotel is very close to shops and restaurants and I would have to recommend the 'Victory Bar' – an English pub one minutes walk from the hotel. Excellent entertainment and atmosphere. All restaurants serve lovely food - no complaints anywhere..(Recommend the filet steak at the tapas place.

The only downers was we saw one cockroach, but hey, you're in a hot place - what do you expect? The floor in our apartment was never cleaned. White socks turn to black if you catch my drift. Sun beds round the pool get filled quickly. Oh, and we only had one teaspoon in our room, which is the main reason this hotel did not get top marks. A valid point, I'm sure you'd all agree.

Definitely recommended for couples in the time we were there. Overall excellent holiday and recommend it highly. Will definitely be going back!

This hotel was spotless, the maids came and cleaned every day and made the beds and the towels were changed every other day.

We went out every night so I cannot comment on the entertainment.

We had no cockroaches at all and our room was at the back of the hotel with gardens to the back of us.

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful, we had no problems at all.

This is a club 18-30 hotel, but Friends who live in Tenerife have told me that this is to change soon. The week we were there alot of older couples and families were staying there too.

The pool is clean and they have a pool bar.

We did not eat here but we heard that the breakfasts are good.

On our last day the maids left us a bottle of wine and a thank you for your stay card. I will definitely return to this hotel.

All the staff were lovely and friendly especially the 3 bar men I can't remember their names but I no one of them looked like Mel Gibson.
I loved there and would recommend it to anyone.

We were located on the top floor over the courtyard. It was quite closed in as all the rooms over looked each other in a square but the rooms had large curtains you could pull across the window.

The hotel was spotless rooms were really nice, always clean.

Location was fantastic could not have been better. Close to Veronicas strip and the Starco area (the bigger better version of Veronicas strip) but far enough away not to hear any noise from the bars or clubs.

Did not stay in the hotel for entertainment so can really comment on that

Well, what can I say about this hotel!! We booked an allocated on arrival 2 days before we went so were a bit worried we'd be put in a right dive but boy were we wrong.

We were greeted upon arrival of the best view of the sea from our balcony I have ever had. The room had everything we needed and was clean daily (not just a quick wipedown either).

All of the staff were lovely and by the end of the week we were on first name terms. The reps were spot on, although being a freestryle holiday were slightly pushy.

The bar was cheap, the pool was gorgeous (got the sun all day), location was ideal less than 5minutes to rags, tramps etc but no noise at all could be heard.

On our last day the maids left me and my friends a small bottle of wine each and a thank you note. The hospitality was spot on.

this hotel is more like a 3 star plus than a 2 star and was such a refreshing change for a club freestyle hotel.

If I went back to Tenerife I wouldn't even think twice about returning to this hotel.

Me and my girlfriend booked this through Thompson as a last minute deal. The hotel is in a great location, no more than 5 minutes walk from the clubs and bars (Leonardo's etc) but you don't really get the noise.

The rooms are nice, and very clean. You get a kettle, hobb and fridge, cups plates etc. Be warned though, this is a 18 -30's and a club freestyle hotel. If you are a family or couple looking for a quiet break then this place is not for you. Me and my girlfriend were woken up every morning at 5am but shouting, running up and down the corridors and the slamming of doors. It's such a shame because this hotel really is too good for this.

The pool is lovely big and warm, and the snacks are good. We ate out so did not eat dinner there.

The staff are helpful and friendly enough, however the Thompson reps only really seemed interested in selling you bar crawl excursions etc, so we took it upon ourselves to organise our days/nights out.

There is a supermarket which sells everything dead cheap on site.

I'd recommend you get a safe when renting the room, we had no security problem but one guy had his room broken into. At night I recommend locking the door from the inside, by turning the lock. That way no one can get in even with a key card.

There wasn't any entertainment on in the evening when we were there, but it was no problem as we went out in the evening and there was always something to see or do.

Overall I'd say if you are a group of friends looking for a great holiday then this is the place for you.

Couples and families stay away!!

REPS took us to all the nights like the foam party and the PJ party - free bar so got fairly tipsy!

We had such a good time we will definitely be back next year!!!!

Las Piramides was a brilliant hotel to stay in. Although it was a 2 star hotel it was more like staying in a 3 star.

Me and a friend stayed in a studio apartment and we had the best location available. To the left on our balcony you could see the mountains, directly in front was the swimming pool and to the right was the sea. We also had the sun all day long on the balcony.

The cleaners came every day which was brilliant and it was a nice lively hotel to stay in. Certainly mainly for friends and young couples. I would not recommend a family holiday there at the hotel.

Best holiday ever. Can't wait to go back. I would definately stay in the Las Piramides it was wicked.

Everone is friendly including the reps, the only thing I didn’t like was that you couldn’t make much noise at 6 - 7 in the morning, the time I was coming home.

Hotel is nice and the maids cleaned the rooms every day.

Pool was wicked biggest in Las Americas only other things I can say is I’m definitely going back ... :)

The clubs are wicked, if anyone likes clubs the club to go to is Rags and Tramps!

Brochure does not do this hotel justice. Very clean and well kept rooms. Fresh towels daily and linen changed 3 times in the 7 days we spent there.

Staff friendly and helpful as were all reps especially kids reps who did a fantastic job with all our brood during our weeks stay.

Good breakfast deal in restaurant and bar prices average.

Didn't experience any evening entertainment as kids too young to stay awake. (Didn’t start till 11pm).

Pool clean and plenty of sunbeds.

Lovely touch on departure of 2 small bottles wine.

Would certainly stay here again.

These apartments are very nice and clean and maids came every day to tidy room and very understanding if you wanted to lie in.

Great location to the centre of PDLA. The only down side is the security in the Hotel any one can walk in to the complex any time of night. We had our room broken into twice in a weeek.

The 2nd time whist me and my girlfriend were asleep and has all our money stolen and they even took the safe key from handbag and took all our money and phone's and stuff. I went down to recetion when i woke and found that we had been robbed and the first thing they said was I would have to pay another 15$ deposut for the safe key.

Told by reps (thomson's) we could not use there phone and they were no help at all. My advice do not go there. 5 rooms robbed whilst people asleep in 7 days.

We paid £250 for a double room. For what we paid we actually got more than we ever dreamed of. It was great!

We only slept and occasionally cooked something in the room but it was good.

The staff cleaned the rooms every day.

The supermarket downstairs had a wide variety of food (though slightly expensive) and the location was quite central and within walking distance of all the clubs and pubs.

The staff were friendly as well.

We did not use the hotel entertainment as we wanted to go clubbing every night. From what we saw people were having a good time in the hotel's bar.

Hi my name is Marj me and my hubby wullie went to the Piramades on 30th dec 2004 to meet friends who flew out on the 29th but were staying at a different hotel, our first views of the hotel from the outside was oooops have we picked the wrong one ...... but when we went in it was a different story when we got to our rooms we were really pleased.

They were spotless, well maintained , beds fresh and cleaned on a daily basis ,never visited the hotel bar or resteraunt, as we ate out all the time but for anything you need the hotel has a fabulous supermarket we would definatly go there again excellent.

Very impressed with the rooms, only stayed in a studio and it was huge !!!

Couple of cockroaches which I hate, but what can you expect abroad?

Good location, but could be closer to the nightlife, although just a short walk away.

Got woken up a few nights of my stay due to drunken men arguing in the corridors and the walls are paper thin !!was not at all impressed !!!

Staff very friendly.

Entertainment, I felt was aimed at the older generation so was not impressed, but didn't bother me as I went out most nights.

I ended up there through booking a late holiday. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again but I wouldn't be disappointed if I ended up there.

The hotel is close to the centre of the resort so I was surprised how quiet it was. All the restaurants & bars were only a short walk away. The beach was a ~10-15 minutes walk.

I had a one bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. The bedroom was dark as it had no window to the outside but as we only slept there that didn't matter.

The main room was quite large and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us despite the nieces attempt to spread her junk everywhere. Loads of storage space in various cupboards.

The room had a coin-operated telly with English channels. The kitchen had the usually rubbish 2 ring electric cooker and an electric kettle.

Our balcony looked out of the central courtyard. This is surrounded on all sides by other rooms so no views except of the lives of other holiday makers. A living soap opera.

The cleaners did a good job. Towels were decent, not threadbare and were change regularly. The maid made the beds every day.

There was entertainment in the bar which we sampled on a couple of nights. It was of the pub singer type but after a few drinks they all sounded brilliant :-)

The only downside was a bit of a smell around the one end of the pool. Pool was OK - clean etc. but there was a smell of sewage lingering in the bushes. It was not a problem for us as we went to the beach. We only used the pool on the odd late afternoon when the sunbeds were emptying and you could pick and choose where you went.

The hotel had a couple of coin-operated computers with MSN messenger which meant the kids kept in touch with there rain-soaked friend in the UK. There was also an in-hotel supermarket that sold most things.

On leaving we were left a couple of complementary ½ bottles of wine which was a nice touch.

I thought overall it was an OK hotel.

Hotel was a lot better than we expected. Room was clean but warm as no air con. We kept the patio doors open which helped. We only saw one cockroach. Cleaned every day with change of sheets and towels. Shower was good. Bathroom large and kitchen lounge area roomy. I was worried about reports of noise. There was some especially the bin men at 2.30am every day but we went to the bar entertainment at night which finished at 1am so waited for them to come then went to bed. Rested during the day by the pool. There was some shouting as clubbers came home.

Staff were helpful if needed as were our reps. Great entertainment in the bar at night. Quiz, bingo and Karaoke as well as shows. Happy hour 9.30pm to 10.30pm 241. Thanks guys you know who you are if you read this. Just remember. "Always look on the bright side of life"

We were a family so did not do any of the "adult" entertainment so cannot comment. We did the Freebird trip which was great. Probably best not book through reps though. I beleive you can book through their website before you go.

Nice pools. We used the smaller one. Get there early though to get a bed. Quiet area during the day. Lilos provided as well.

A couple of tips. You can rent fans for your room and also a safe which is a must. You can also for 30 Euros book your room for a late checkout if yo are leaving late at night or early morning. We could book ours from the wednesday onwards. We left friday midnight. Highly recommended.

It is well situated, 10min walk from the strip for all you youngters!! Good bar on the corner called The Anchor with sky for sports fans. Plenty of retaurants nearby also and a supermarket at the bottom of the road.

All in all a great holiday. I would go back again but it not the place for families in high season. October half term was just about right. Probably not for really young children either.

I think it deserves more than a 2 key rating. There is a snack bar during the day which sells chips burgers etc and its always handy having your own supermarket in the complex.

The hotel is set very central close to all the clubs and bars. There was no entertainment on a night but there was a happy hour between 7 and 10. The staff werent over friendly but we never had any problems.

I would definetly recommend this hotel to others and will be returning shortly.

Stayed here on a few occasions before but have never experienced noise like we did on this holiday.Every night or should I say morning at 4 am.-6 am. we were awakened by people shouting and screaming across to each other from the Cattlya opposite. The security guards must be deaf because when we complained they said they never heard any noise. The apartments are very clean and spacious with the bedding and towels changed daily. It is a pity that such a nice hotel is being ruined by a few drunken yobs.

We are a couple who were looking for a relaxing break. I was concerned about some of the reports about this hotel but found it relatively ok noise wise.

Most of the noise was out in the street or in the lane between the 2 parts of the hotel - although the hotel was trying hard to manage noise internally there is not much that can be done about the noise outside. Take ear plugs and you should be ok!

We had south facing balcony so we got the sun all day - room was hot but we hired a fan and that worked perfectly. The hotel has no air con but fans can be hired from the hotel or "Mr Cool" - ask the reps.

The hotel is located on the edge of Las Americas, and not a long walk to Los Christanos. Well placed for beaches as well as restaurants and nightlife. But set back so not much club music can be heard at night.

We went out everynight so didn't use the inhouse bar etc at all.

Rooms were basic but cleaned daily - fresh sheets and towels every second day. Basic kitchen facilities - fridge, small cooker etc.

A lot of 20 ish people staying at the hotel - young atmosphere but a few of us "oldies" (late 30's) as well.

I wouldn't stay again but we tend to try new places and locations each time. If you are looking for a quiet place this isn't the hotel for you but the location is really good, the staff were very helpful and the facilities were basic but suited what we needed.

Recommendations:

Hire a fan:
The rooms can be quite hot and stuffy - hire a fan from reception or "Mr Cool" - it will make a huge difference - especially at night if you want to sleep.

Noise:
Take ear plugs

Final Day:
If you have a late flight they may let you stay in your room for the day - extra charge of 30 Euros. You have to speak to reception at 8.00am on the day of departure.

Safe:
Recommend getting a safe - requires a deposit on top of daily charge - highly recommended. We had no problems with security but always locked valuables away.

Supermarket:
Good value with selection of local and UK products for all tastes

My boyfriend and i stayed at the Las piramides in july 2004. we payed £299 for this holiday and was expecting something very vasic. On arrival we were very pleasantly suprised. The hotel reception was very spacious and clean with comfortable seating areas and found the staff working on reception very helpful and friendly. Still unsure on what to expect from our romm we got the key and ventured up to the room to find a very pleasant room overlooking waht we a first theough was the pool. The room was spacious and very clean the kitchen area although small had all the correct ammenities and was very clean also. the bathroom was a lovely size although there was not enough light in there so it was hard to get ready in the evenings as you could not really see what you looked like in the mirrors!! the shower was fantastic very powerful and easy to use.
The next morning we went to go by the pool as we walked out to our suprise we found that the reasonable size pool which our apartment overlooked was infact just the childs pool and right next to that pool was a pool three times the size. this was fantastic as it meant that there was plenty of room for people to be round the pool and there were lots of sunbeds for people to use. Because there were no children staying at the hotel because of it being used as a 18-30's hotel we found that the childs pool was used for people to take lilo's in and relax and sunbathe on. It was nice because some times when on holiday people can get funny about people taking lilo's in the water as they get in peoples way but everyone seemed very relaxed and didnot have a problem with it as everyone did it.

The hotel has its own supermarket which was very handy indeed and basically sold everything that you are likely to need on your stay. There were three different restaurants all with great menu's and reasonably priced. The hotel has slush puppy machines (a great highlight for me!!) very popular with people and they also make slush puppy cocktails if you fancy relaxig with a alcoholic drink.

Was really overall pleasantly suprised with this hotel i would certainly consider it as being more a 3 star hotel than a 2 star due to the facilities and cleanliness.

The location was super right near to the main area of playa and very close to all the drinking spots.

My only criticism of the hotel is the noise of people coming in from clubbing at about 4 in the morning. they are a little inconsiderate slamming doors and shouting but knowing that it was a 18-30 hotel we expected there to be noise so we were aware of what we were letting ourselves in for.

My best friend and I stayed at Las Piramides during the last week of June 2004, and had a fantastic time. We were expecting somewhat basic accomodation and were VERY pleasantly suprised upon arrival.

Las Piramides is situated up a road just off the main stretch, so although we found ourselves close to everything we needed, it was quieter than staying in the centre.

We stayed in a studio apartment on the second floor and were fortunate to have a great view over the children's pool. The room itself was much larger than anticipated, clean and had additional features such as a TV, dining table and comfortable chairs which were not expected! The kitchenette was adequate and although we did eat out most evenings, we found the snacks avialable by the pool were good value and very tasty!

The bathroom was quite large with a decent shower,
the room was cleaned daily and the towels changed regularly too. We were even left two half bottles of wine and a note of thanks from the managament on our last day which was a really lovely touch.

Although we didn't see any, there was a variety of entertainment on offer and a good menu choice in the bar too.

One more thing, we were lucky enough to be able to book a room for our last day as we did not fly until late at night. At only 30 euros this was certainly worth it as it meant we could enjoy our last day in comfort. For anyone considering this, we went to reception early on our last day to ensure a room was available.

All in all, we had a wonderful time and as for Las Piramides, we would certainly give top marks! I would recommend the accomodation to anyone visiting Playa and if I return,Las Piramides would certinly be my first port of call!!!

Arrived at hotel on a Sunday evening, had hired a car which we were able to park right outside the hotel front and there was no charge for this. Check in was very easy and quick too.

We booked this package through the internet and my friend had stayed at this hotel before and she had told me that it was basic.

We were on the 2nd floor, with a large suitcase it was quite a way fron the reception to the lift and the porter was walking really fast, luckily he favoured me and carried mine, but about several others were puffing and panting!!!

Got to the room, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking what I think was the back. Not a great view, but that wasn't what we were there for anyway... there were 2 balconies too, which was great as we could sunbathe seperately!!!

The bathroom was quite small, but for 2 people it was adequate. However, the shower was deceiving, didn't look great, but was fantastic after a day out. Fresh towels and sheets were changed every other day also, very friendly and helpful cleaning staff, but that may depend upon how clean you keep it maybe.

We didn't eat on site or experience any of the entertainment, but from speaking to other guests, the Freestyle events were good, altho could be better if more people were on them as we were there at early part of season. Hotel shop was well stocked with helpful staff there too.

Compared to a hotel I stayed in when i went to Magaluf, there was hardly any noise, but I think that as we are 2 young females, it wouldn't bother us anyway.

Only disappointment was that we couldn't have our room for the extra day when checking out, and when I went to book another room they had all gone. So avoid disappointment you need to book it early on the morning of the day that you're leaving.

All-in-all an excellent hotel for the young and lively season, especially as it's only about 5-10mins walk to the beach and the bars.

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed in a studio apartment. The living area room was very big and airy, it had a comfy big setee which could be used as a bed, it also had a single bed in the living area, pay per view t.v and a large set of wooden doors and large coffee table and patio doors on to a balcony and to the left of the balcony was another small balcony.

The kitchen area was also in the living which had two stove and plenty of storage cupboards and a dining table.

The bathroom was large and clean with a bath and shower over the bath, toilet and beday and sink with storage round the sink area.

The bedroom had two single beds, with a large wardrobe with a large shelf and drawers, there was also a large dressing table with drawer and a mirror. Also in the bedroom was some more patio door on to another balcony.

I though the hotel was very clean overall, the pool was clean and there was a pool bar.

The hotel location was very good, close to the resturants and the shopping area and only a shot walk to the main nightlife.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would certainly visit this hotel again.

Stayed in a Studio rook on a late deal, we paid £270 for the 2 of us for a week, for the money this place was superb.

Very clean, spanish women frantically mopping floors at every hour of the day, clean sheets every day, even tidied up my rubbish and mess of spent beer cans!!

Didnt see 1 cockroach and this was amazing seing as we were on groundfloor.

Good well stocked supermarket onsite with freshly hot baked bread everyday and a good selection of meats and cheese. Also there are internet access points located in reception, costs about 1 euro for 10 mins which is ok just to check your email.

Quite useful onsite was also the cashpoint for when you run out of money which i did!

Last but not least the bar, nice and cheap, happy hour from 9.30-10.30, quizzes, entertainment, and dont forget good old karaoke which yes I did end up doing! Lol!!

Big up to Adam the camp guy behing the bar who was a fantastic entertainment host and also Emma the Sunset Rep who was really friendly and helpful.

Yes I would go back :)

Better for clubbers tho, families if youve got young kids stay away cos this place can be noisy throughout the night.

All in all, fab place, 'Cheap as chips but a real bobby dazzler!'

Just got back from holiday and here's what I thought:
We had a 1 bed appt which was spacious and clean. The kitchen area was pretty basic( no toaster - but you can hire one). The bathroom was a nice size, however, there was no hair-dryer, but the shower was lovely. The lighting in the appartment was quite dull.
We ate out mostly, but did manage to get a few snacks from the cafe next to the reception. They do things like toasties, jackets, burgers etc....The food was ok - a little bit pricey and the portions mingy.
The staff were nice and friendly.
The main negative side was the noise overnight, people coming back from pubs/clubs and carrying on with their partying in their balconies/room/corridor. Didn't get much sleep for a few nights. Not really nice when you have young children. I would not go back in the high season -can't imagine the noise level then!!!
All in all it was a nice holiday and we spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool!

Stayed in the Las Piramides between 26th March and 3rd April. The hotel is situated in a quiet road off from the main dual carriage way link about two hundred yards from the sea front, across the road from the Colon and Colon 2. The room was great, had a 1 bedroom selfcatering apartment on the top floor which overlooked the childrens pool. We had 3 balconies, 2 off the main living area and a separate one off the bedroom. Although it was self catering there was only a 2 ring hob available and a fridge, you had to hire a toaster if you wanted toast in the morning.

The hotel had a maize of corridors and it took a while to learn how to get from the hotel reception to our room. There were 2 large pools, 1 being a childrens area which was quite useful. A large supermarket is on site but does not provide a good array of goods for sale and is quite expensive, unlike the bar which was quite cheap and has a happy hour between 6 and 9.30 every night.

Some of the rooms are currently being renovated so their was a bit of noise over the pool area during the day but apart from the that the whole place was peaceful given its central location.

On the negative side, there were a couple of times when we were infested with a number of cockroaches so had to put down towels as they were getting in under the door at night…not very nice but if you don’t mind standing on them its not too bad. The area around the hotel immediately to the front was pretty run down, poor condition of paths which were quite narrow and the whole place seemed pretty seedy and dirty. If you venture into los christianos area of the peurto colon area (the other way it gets nicer and feels a bit more up market but beware of the touts, both timeshare and restaurant owners give you constant hastle during the day and night.

Would definitely go back to PDLA but not in the same area even though the hotel was nice, been to lots of other lager lout resorts i.e. san Antonio town, kardamena, magaluf etc but never had as much hastle from touts in these places…be brave ..be warned..

We stayed for one week.

The room was old fashioned but very clean, towels bedding changed every other day, we did not experience any noise at night.

We did not sample hotel food as we went out each evening.

The location was good just a short walk to shops, bars etc. and about 15 minutes to the beaches at Troya.

We didn't find the hotel staff very friendly or helpful, we were burgled on our third day, money, credit cards, phones, driving licence, passports the lot. Make sure your safe is securely fitted and not been previously broken into, there was five of us broken into on same day. The cleaners tend to leave doors open as they go about their work, also check your balcony doors lock.

We didn't bother with the entertainment it was not for us.

We will not return, the reps were useless at this hotel.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was really big! It was quite dull at times though but that would be my only complaint, apart from the few cockroaches that visited us but I think that was because we were top floor and they were falling from the roof!

We had 3 balconies though which was fantastic! One from the bedroom, one from the living room and one through an arch of the living room one! The balconies had plugs in them which is great as you can dry your hair outside so it isn't hot and stuffy!

The location is great, it's just of a road with lots of bars and restaurants and a few mins walk from the resort centre!

The staff were very helpful! There is a bar and a supermarket on sight.

This hotel was mainly young people but still wasn't noisy and rowdy! I would go back to these apartments again definitely!

We stopped at Las Piramides at the end of April/beginning of May 2003. It was a late deal so we were allocated accommodation on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised when we were shown our room. We had a studio which consisted of twin beds, two balconies overlooking the pool, TV, wardrobes, table, sink, fridge and hob and some basic kitchen utensils were provided, and a bathroom which was nice and clean and very airy. The shower was lovely.

There was a restaurant but we didn't use it so I can't comment, and there was a supermarket which sold everything which we needed while we were there (for those of you who miss cheeseums pringles, they sell those!) On the whole though we ate out in the evenings, and bought food from the supermarket at the end of the road for breakfast. The bar was nice and had entertainment each night, although we preferred to go out and about at night so didn't take advantage of it.

We did encounter a couple of cockroaches, but luckily not in our room, and there is a particular breed of pigeon like bird that likes to sit on the balconies, but they didn't cause any problems.

There was a Thomsons's desk in the foyer which was manned for several hours a day, and had lots of useful leaflets available.

Two negative things that I can remember: firstly, on the last day we had a late flight, but had to check out of the room at about midday, and then we had to leave our bags just in the foyer, there was no locked room, secondly, I collected all the leaflets etc. from different places we'd been and they were on the table in our room, but the cleaners must've got a bit enthusiastic one day because they threw them all away.

we stayed in the las piramides in plda a couple of years ago and i would honestly say we would never go back.

we never got told it was a 18-30s until we got there everybody went mad as some people had young children. at the night time the noise was terrible, doors being slamed in the hallways, every one partying on the balconys ok everyone wants to enjoy themselves but this just wasnt fair for us all.

one day we come back from the beach and i noticed my toothbrush had gone plus when i started looking round our room i noticed that was not all what had gone our toothpaste, a brand new shirt, our own towels from home, and half a bottle of aftershave. but when i looked at the doors there was no force shown on the doors, so it must of happened when the cleaners came into the room.

apart from this the hotel was very clean,we did not try the food as we eaten out every day&night, but the staff was not helpful at all.

this aparthotel was very central close to bars restaurants and shops.
